We chose this place for our clinics year end celebration for 25 guests and it turned out to be a very good decision! Ben was constantly in touch with me regarding the set up and food was pre ordered and served very efficiently. Their complimentary welcome drink is super refreshing, appetizer platter was excellent and of course the food was super delicious ! Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere with live piano performance! Overall an excellent experience, thanks a lot to Ben and his servers for doing such a good job! We all had so much fun ! Totally recommend this place 👌
This is an excellent place to dine. The food is the best persian food in Calgary for sure and the staff is friendly and professional. We booked a birthday party with them and they decorated our table with a beautiful flower arrangement, fruits, and an awesome cake. They had a pianist playing birthday and other wonderful songs and we just had the best time. I recommend their gheimeh, kashke bademjan, baghali polo and kabobs.
I have never had a better Persian food experience from Vancouver to here than this. Despite this, I was unable to find food of the same quality that I experienced here in Vancouver. Thanks to the owner and the chef who provided and created this environment with delicious home-style food in Calgary downtown for us. Having tried Persian food for the first time in Calgary, I was pleased to remember this restaurant (Termeh) and the taste of their food for the rest of my life after moving to Canada. May their stuff be blessed.
I recently had the pleasure of attending a party , and it was truly the best experience I’ve ever had at a Persian restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully decorated ambiance that set the perfect tone for our celebration. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The kebabs were tender and juicy, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the appetizers were a delightful start to the meal. What truly stood out was the exceptional management . The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure every aspect of our party was top-notch.. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable Persian dining experience. It’s a gem in the city, and I can’t wait to return :)
It was such a nice atmosphere for date night and even for lunch. They serve very good beef kobideh so it became a thing whenever we go to calgary. Love it. They have free cold drinks too which i really like
I had dinner at Termeh Cafe in downtown Calgary tonight! Ordered a combination plate consist of a skewer of Barg, Koobideh and Chicken thigh with rice and maste-mosir. The Barg was too chewey that I couldn't eat it. The Koobideh was tasteless and the chicken thigh either was not marinated or needed spice! The ambiance was okay and the service was at the minimum!
We had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, with a rich blend of flavours. The platter dish was well prepared, showcasing the authenticity of Persian cuisine. Highly recommended.
I can't keep up telling you about this place. The food was awesome, and the person serving us was very respectful. The best part was the relaxing and great atmosphere. The large TV with music and different scenery from all over the world was as nice as the large aquarium. They also had a separate room for people who like special smokers. The only unusual thing was the location. We had a hard time finding it and made me sad to see so much beauty hidden in the basement.
Food is delicious, portions are big enough
Ordered online, chicken koobideh, very dry and the flavor was weird too. I usually go to the other branch of Termeh which is good but this one is not.
Absolutely amazing! I visited this place with my family and we were amazed as soon as we entered the restaurant. Not only was the food great but we were super happy with the service as well as the atmosphere inside the restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
I highly recommend this venue for any special celebration, such as weddings or milestone events. The services provided, kind and professional staff, and exceptional quality made our day truly unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Roham for his unique and outstanding decoration design. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every element, from the smallest touches to the grand setup. He continuously followed up throughout the planning and event, ensuring that each moment ran smoothly, beautifully, and beyond our expectations. Thank you guys, and good job
We had a party and were looking for a nice place. Finally we decided to go for Termeh restaurant and cafe downtown. Good food, cozy atmosphere and excellent service. All these things organized by young manager Roham. We were happy at the end. I recommend this place for small party.
We recently had a private event at termeh and loved the food and atmosphere! The live piano created a nice ambiance and the server was welcoming and attentive. Thanks Roham for all your help!
Exceptional Persian cuisine! The restaurant offers a warm atmosphere, friendly service, and an extensive menu of authentic dishes. Highlights were the flavorful Kashk-e Bademjan appetizer , the savory Ghormeh Sabzi stew and Koobideh. Finished with a delightful cup of Persian tea and hooka. Highly recommended for an outstanding dining experience! Thanks Benyamin!
You gotta clean up the entrance. Not inviting! Otherwise, great place.
Came here few weeks ago with a friend. It was our first time, place was nice, service was okay, and food was also okay. I was excited for the kebab but kind of felt underwhelmed. I mean the portion was huge, but the flavour was a bit underwhelming. I also wish there was some sauce or yogurt with our meal because it got a bit dry after sometime. Anyway, I like the beef koobideh :)
Great food and decor is beautiful. Definitely will be back for the doogh and koobideh 5
We were in Calgary and wanted to have Persian food in this restaurant, but they were closed to the public without any notice on Google about their private party on that day
I recently celebrated my anniversary at Termeh Cafe Restaurant in downtown and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience - better than my own wedding! A huge thank you to Roham, the event planner, whose creative and artistic touch made the event truly special. Roham s impeccable taste in choosing flowers, setting tables, and selecting drinks and foods created a great atmosphere. The variety and quality of the food and decorations with fruits and flowers was top-notch and every detail was thoughtfully curated. The ambiance was perfect and the entire event ran smoothly thanks to Roham s meticulous planning. I just showed up as a guest myself and didn t need to worry about anything! Additionally, Roham is a fantastic make up artist. My make up was the best I have ever had, he chose the colour and style perfectly to match my hair/skin color and my dress. I highly recommend Termeh Restaurant and Roham for any type of party/event in Calgary. They are professional, kind, friendly and very fair with the cost/pricing given the great quality of the service. They will make your event a memorable one!
I tried joje masti that didnt seem delicious to me. But I loved the atmosphere because on Saturday someone was playing nostalgic persian musics. Food
Im updating my review after a year. My second experience in this restaurant was nothing like the first one. The food was pricey with a mediocre quality which I dont recommend at all! We has Koobideh and Kebab torsh which was a chewy. However last year these 2 used to be so delicious My initial review : This place was the best persian restaurant I have ever been around Canada!
The food was horrible! Specially the Barg was beyond what you call it bad. Do not recommend it to anyone.
Persian food here is 10/10
Based on my recent experience with Termeh Cafe Restaurant Downtown, I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a party or other celebration occasion. First of all, I had a number of phone conversations and in person meeting with Roham, who is a professional with years of experience in event management, to assist me in planning our celebration party step by step to the level of my expectations. He is very polite, approachable and personable. Everytime he was readily willing to answer any questions and explain the process patiently. Roham truly goes above and beyond with respect in order to personalize each plan based on the expectations of the individual, then with his experience in this field, beautifully creates the best plan possible that demonstrates professionalism. The level of attention to detail was excellent and so I am happy that I trusted his recommendations. Also, time management was excellent which was very important to me. All staff at Termeh Cafe Restaurant Downtown were polite, welcoming. They were eager to ensure the customer is satisfied and comfortable which is impressive. Maryam was very sweet, ready to assist all time during the event with her beautiful smile. The live piano performance was amazing. Tables were beautifully designed with candles, savory and sweet flavors, fruits, and welcoming drinks. Dining table also was exceptional with the persian flavors, well cooked meals that everybody enjoyed. I also really like how transparent they are with pricing. Just to add something to improve, it would be great if their website provided a page specifically designed for events in order to save more time and make the process smoother. My family and I appreciate all the effort that Termeh Cafe Restaurant management, Roham, Maryam and all other staff members made to make our celebration party with our friends memorable.
We recently held our wedding at Terme Restaurant, and we couldn t have been happier with our experience. From start to finish, the entire event was beautifully managed. The atmosphere was elegant, and the food was exceptional, receiving compliments from all our guests. A special thank you to the management team for their impeccable organization and attention to detail. We d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Maryam, whose service was truly outstanding. Adding a personal touch that made our day even more special.
Excellent restaurant Food was delicious and we tried many dishes For example ghormeh sabzi was perfectly cooked The service was flawless, the waitress was so cute with us and always ready to give nice pieces of advice 10 stars for this restaurant Vegetarian options: One main dish is vegan Appetizer and side dish are mostly vegan
Yummmmy food. We tried Koobideh and Vaziri, both tasty. Excellent service, they manage everything very well! Great atmosphere and sense of place! Nice and welcoming service scape. Last time I went there was a live piano performance there. Food : 5/5
We ordered 4 different dishes and they all took our taste buds to heaven. The ambience was not anything special but it was quite comfortable.
Low quality for everything unfortunately.
I really like the food here its always great
Great Persian cuisine, Hookah was excellent.
I recommend it because it has very very delicious food. Service so great and atmosphere so great.
I regularly dine at Termeh Downtown , and it has consistently been an exceptional experience. The delicious Persian food always exceeds my expectations, with each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to the highest quality. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home every time. The beautiful decorations add to the warm and inviting atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The music and drinks perfectly complement the overall ambiance. If youre looking for a place with amazing food, great service, and a delightful environment, Termeh is a must-visit!
We had a great time in termeh restaurant. Foods very amazing service great.piano was so wonderful. We really enjoyed there.
With a group of co-workers, we went to Termeh restaurant for lunch and we all loved the splendid authentic Persian food/kebab and great hospitality. I do strongly recommend this restaurant to my fellow Calgarians.
Poor tasting food. Poor service. Nothing like their other location. Food was not seasoned and I doubt it was cooked over charcoal. The service was awful. She spent the whole time talking to the owner instead of checking on us.
The only good thing about this place is its atmosphere, The waitress is not professional or respectful, The taste of food is not even close to Persian dishes! I was so disappointed in my last visit and wont be coming back to this place ever again! The tip is mandatory in this place as well! So be aware
I believe Termeh is more than just a restaurant due to its excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Recently, I had the opportunity to experience one of Irans delicious foods the kebab Torsh. The taste was excellent; I couldnt believe that I had the chance to enjoy my home countrys cuisine again even though I am far away from it. However, it wasnt just about the food that left a lasting impression on me; it was the overall ambiance and hospitality that truly elevated the experience. I felt completely at home thanks to the excellent service and cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
In one sentence, I can say that we had an amazing experience in an authentic Iranian environment with unique food, which was perfected by the piano playing and the recommendations of our waitress , who was a very kind and personable lady. She offered us lamb shank and baghali polo, which I can say was excellent beyond my expectations. Maze platter was so different tastes and very very good. I love Termeh restaurant and coming back as soon as .
It was my first time at this Persian restaurant, and I truly loved everything about it. Excellent food, ambiance and service with an adorable live Persian music. I highly recommend it.
Awesome place, food and sheesha! Highly recommended
Food amazing but customer service by one girl terrible asked for an extra lamb shank to be added to the same platter got charge twice for two platters, making it up like she was charging me for an extra lamb shank; when it still was another platter I don t need extra rice tried making it super clear. But otherwise quality and flavor of food amazing but bagali polo needed more gravy why it s 2/5 for me overall. Really wanted to love this place but disappointed overall
The atmosphere was great, the pianist world class. The server was really kind, however the food (beef barg) was really bad. I wouldn t give that to my worst enemy. Otherwise it s a very nice place.
The food is amazing - perhaps one of the best Persian restaurants in Calgary. I hosted a rather large event and everybody had a great experience. The service was a letdown though. The waiters were not quick and attentive, glasses stayed empty, and finding a waiter was like a game, despite other tables being empty. Also, the same person doing tables was running the bar, which caught me off-guard. Pros: - Great food - Amazing plating - Live music (on Friday evenings) - Pleasant atmosphere Cons: - Poor service - Understaffed - Not too many available washrooms
%100 teast of persia highly recommended. Keep up a great work Termeh Vegetarian options: Salad shirazi my favorite Food : 5/5 |
Waiter was not professional and she charged my credit card 65 $ tip without letting me know. When I found out she said that tip is mandatory. I was so shoked in that poor service. 65 $ Mandatory tip. I never go back in this place .
Fantastic Persian restaurant!! Fields of soft Chicken stretch for endless expanses of rice-grown fields of golden transcendent porcelain. Ancient lamps dance beneath the darkness of magical stasis rune emplacements upon the dichotomous colored walls, hailing from the depths of earthy soil. Portals of red Azure projections link the sturdy armchairs to a world of fantastic Persian music, emanating from hidden portals of futuristic robotic arms on ceiling fixtures, creating a wonderful experience of a spaceship in flight towards unknown worlds.
The food was excellent!! Service was lacking.
recommended
Amazing food and service! Really nice environment and live music. If you are planning on attending as a large group for birthdays it is the a great place to consider, as they have different arrangement options and ours was beautifully displayed! They make sure to offer special drinks and foods depending on your preferences and really put the time and effort. Definitely recommended, and thank you again to Termeh Cafe for creating a memorable night for me and my loved ones
Cozy place, food was cold we, the group of 11 people had to ask them to take all of it back to the kitchen. Small portions for what you pay for. Service was bad and we were charged 11% gratuity. Best place for those who DO NOT KNOW & HAVE NOT TASTED PERSIAN food in their life. Two star for ambiance.
I visited the restaurant with my family after reading the good review. But it was the worst experience of our lives. The food was cold, the rice was dried, and felt like eating stone. The kebabs were dry and cold and felt like chewing gums. Its an absolutely overpriced place. The jojeh chicken was blend and tasteless. I felt like throwing all the food out. Guys believe all the negative reviews here are correct. I had the worst experience.
Don t order stews from here in the evenings! Gheimeh stew was pungant and terrible!
Great!
The food was amazing! The presentation and the service was great as well! We had the Koobideh and Ghorme Sabzi both were done beautifuly and to perfection. The side shirazi salad was just right too.The curly potato was a great suprise that I loved! The service was fast, and the waiter was very sweet. I am only visitng calgary so wont be able to go back! But I definetly recomnd this place.
My friend and I stopped by the DT location and wow!! The food, atmosphere and service were excellent, highly recommend. Thank you Termeh!
This meal was absolutely delicious! I wasn t expecting the potato skewer and it was a wonderful surprise! The Beef and Lamb were cooked perfectly. The portion was a good size to fill 2 people! Best of all, the staff was incredibly kind and we really appreciate how they gave us advice on the menu!
Went here for the first time and definitely wont be going back. The glass of water tasted very very odd to begin with, the atmosphere was so bad and we got served very late there was only me and 2 friends and another couple on a different table not busy at all. Decor is nice but lets get to the food. Probably the worst persian food in Calgary. The kabobs are so bad I literally got a bone in my beef kabob grossed me out. Definitely won t be going back. Our server was a young man who seemed like he just hated being there
Shout out to Binyamin went there dec 24 with 11 of us food was bad service was bad so I reached out to Binyamin. He invited us all back to redeem the poor experience we had. Went last night jan 28th and wow what a difference the food was amazing the service was great it was a great night gave him feedback because he wasnt there dec 24 classy guy and everything was perfect last night.
Despite its unassuming appearance, the food was fantastic! The flavors were fresh and authentic. The service was also good, with the staff being friendly and accommodating.
Extremely good food, service and overall hidden spot of Calgary
Amazing hospitality and finger licking good food in Calgary. The tea is just the cherry on top. A must recommended Persian restaurant in Calgary.
We ordered kobideh kebab and barg kebab. I liked Kobideh more
The place is near to the downtown, which makes it easy to access. I went there with one of my persian friends. We ordered some persian kabobs and they brought the food very quickly. Seems fresh made and was well garnished. I found the kabobs quite raw, and there was blood coming out from it. My persian friend said the same. The BBQed bell peppers and onions in between. They were a bit strange in taste. The potatoes were good. The washrooms were not cleaned, and I found most of the tables a bit dirty. Also, the cutlery was dirty, and I asked for a replacement. Not recommended, and I would say, not a good place for spending money.
Large portions. Staff were nice and caring. Felt like the rice was fluffy and meat was fresh. Overall a good experience.
Loved the kebabs , nice place, good service would love to visit again!
Absolutely wonderful experience here tonight. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had a starter of hummus and a tea each, a large main, and shared a tasty pistachio roll cake slice. Very generous servings and lovely service. Loved the decor and had an overall great atmosphere.
Very delicious foods here. Staff are super friendly. Clean but very busy at times restaurant
Delicious food.
Had the mixed platter for 5 (see photos). Came with two giant plates of rice (none of us got salad) that we couldnt finish. Lots of delicious meats (5 different flavours), all very delicious. I also went with two Persians, who said the flavours are authentic.
Beautiful interior design, delicious food and perfect services. Highly recommend.
You should try because u can t get such a qorme sabzi every where ! Unfortunately it was my last day in Calgary otherwise I would be here every day ! One of best Persian restaurants i have ever been. It was like my mom s cooking
I went to this restaurant today with all my guests, there were twenty people in total, the service was great, the food was great as always, the staff were great, I can say that it is one of the best restaurants in Alberta. We tried all the dishes, each one was better than the last. I recommend it to all Iranian and non-Iranian friends. Very nice design,We had a great experience. We will definitely return to this restaurant from Edmonton.
Amazing Persian restaurant. Well kept secret. Quiet, relaxing, great food, and staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Finish meal with saffron ice cream and lavashak. A first for me. Will def be back.
I went to the Termeh Cafe Restaurant in Downtown. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience Ive ever had at a Persian restaurant. We placed our order at 2:30, but the food didnt arrive until 5. Throughout the entire experience, the staff seemed indifferent and unconcerned about their customers. To make matters worse, the food was cold and the meat was undercooked, making it difficult to enjoy. The overall quality of the food was terrible. When we asked the management about the reasons for the poor service and quality of the food, they offered unprofessional and unacceptable justifications. If youre looking to waste your time, money, and leave feeling hungry, then I would recommend visiting this restaurant.
My worst experience was at this restaurant. My friends and I had to wait a long time to receive the food even though we had already ordered it over the phone. The quality of the food was very poor, and I could not eat it. As you can see in the photo, the color of the food was unnatural and it didnt taste good. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Maybe a tad expensive, but the food is great!
Visiting the big city. My kids and I thought we d experience Iranian/Persian cuisine. Ate at Temeh downtown. Everything was unique, tasty and fresh. Homemade. The service was pleasant and helpful. Next time in town I can t see us not visiting Temeh again. Highly recommended. Try the Kuku.
Came here during Otafest. Chicken Joujeh skewers were really flavorful and portions were very large. Service was decent and food came out quickly. Would definitely return!
Excellent. God bless your cartoon
Staff were nice, food came cold, not fresh and really small portion. Not going again!
Stepped into this restaurant after wanting to escape the busyness of the main street. It was such a vibe! Nice and quiet, the food was delicious, and the server was very nice. I loved the instagrammable set up with a swing and a backdrop right when you walk in. There are some cute spots throughout the restaurant, like the shisha lounge area, the design of the tiled floor, and the bar set up. Would highly recommend!
Unfortunately the food and staff were no good at all! The food quality was so bad! The saffron chicken kebab was marinated with anything like turmeric than saffron The meat was so sour full of lime to make it soft and look fresh So many delays for the food! We ordered 4 different items on their menu at the same time but got them one by one with 10 to 15 gap and they completely forgot the 4th one and when we asked they said they will pack it for us to go! Not recommend this place at all!
Be mindful of the following fine prints on the menu: 1) 18% gratuity is added on top!! 2) long waiting for the food as they believe good food needs lots of time to prepare! Our first visit ended to be our last visit. We drove there on the previous long weekend, and this experience was not a good one. The kids stayed hungry for long waiting for the food to come! the waiter did not communicate the lengthy food preparation, nor the huge gratuity added to each bill!! Never recommended for a group (especially with kids)! Parking: Very hard to find and access parking space.
Nice place, very friendly staff. It has a cozy vibe to it. We went when it was pretty empty, so Im not sure what itd be like at full capacity. The food was pretty tasty, although if youre used to having super flavorful middle eastern dishes, the food here might be a bit too subtle for you. The Saffron Ice Cream was delicious, and the Fermented Yogurt Drink (Doogh) was excellent as well.
Rice was not good
Good
The service was very nice, and I liked the atmosphere very much. There is nice music. The food was not bad. The kabob Torsh was great. Food
Absolutely incredible
I wouldnt return to this location after this time. The meal is of such poor quality, and two skewers will set you back $30. They offer a menu and claim that their prices are out of date. It appears that you visited a low-quality side-street eatery. I mean, it doesnt make logic to calculate this amount in any way. Ive spent much more elsewhere for better quality!
Warm, welcoming. and wonderful service. We were a group of 11 and our waiter put together a delicious selection of a variety of menu items . Beautifully plated and all flavourful Service was well timed and menu fairly priced.
Went at a quiet time, we were one of three tables there, but service was so slow. The table we sat at had not been cleaned since the previous customers and their dirty cups were still there. They cleaned it, but then didn t bring cutlery or new glasses of water. Ordered some drinks, and for food, half their menu was unavailable . Finally they said they have the Yogurt Chicken kabob so we got that. They brought the food but didn t bring cutlery or plates so we took them from the empty table next to us. Once we finished the food, they never came to take the dishes away so there was just a pile of dishes on the table for half an hour. We wanted to pay but the servers never came by our table and we kept trying to call them but they didn t pay attention, maybe after 15 minutes we were able to ask for the bill. Food prices are quite expensive, I wouldn t recommend this location or the Signal Hill one they are practically the same experience. Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible, located in a basement.
Food was alright but they have really slow service and the shisha side is really dead.. they did not have any music playing, it was so quiet at the restaurant.
I ordered from this restaurant using Uber Eats. Four drivers went there and they either couldnt find the location or the food wasnt ready. After 2 hrs of me waiting they finally canceled my order. DONT ORDER FOR DELIVERY FROM HERE!!
It is the hidden gem in Calgary downtown. It is one of the popular persian restaurants. Foods were delicious & quick service. Nice ambiance. Definitely go back again.
I was very unimpressed. I ve had enough koobidehs to know how it should taste. The kebabs they gave us were stale, not sure how long ago they were actually charbroiled. Their Parvardeh olives were also a joke. There was no pomegranate molasses in it and their nuts were not even ground. Their olives were not tasty either. Their koobideh wrap was the same story too. Service was not bad and the atmosphere was OK. Not coming back again and not recommending it to anyone either.
Oh boy, let me spill the beans about our Sunday adventure at that Persian restaurant in downtown Calgary. Buckle up, folks! So, we strolled in with hopeful tummies and dreams of delicious Koobideh dancing in our heads. But hold your horses, cause what we got was a chilly surprise the Koobideh was colder than a polar bears toe beans, and rumor has it, they gave it a microwave spin to warm things up. Not exactly the fiery start we were hoping for, I tell ya. Now, brace yourselves for the Zeytun Perverde saga. Brace your taste buds for impact, folks, cause it was a whole mess. Were talking about a Zeytun Perverde that thought pomegranate molasses was playing hide and seek it was nowhere to be found! And, hold onto your olives, cause apparently they thought Presidents Choice olives could fill in for the real deal. Presidents Choice? Seriously? I mean, you gotta give credit to their creative thinking, but that dish was a train wreck waiting to happen. Alright, alright, lets give credit where its due the rice did its job, nothing to write home about but hey, its rice, not a superstar. And lets not forget the shining star of the show the servant lady. She was the real MVP, keeping our spirits high with her friendly vibes and attentive service. Kudos to her for being the silver lining in this culinary cloud. All in all, our Persian escapade had its ups and downs. The cold Koobideh and Zeytun Perverde fiasco left us scratching our heads, but the rice did its rice thing, and our server lady brought some sunshine to the table. If youre in for a rollercoaster of taste sensations and a server whos on point, give it a shot. But if youre a pomegranate molasses enthusiast, you might wanna pack some backup.
One of the best persian food in Calgary and the service is really good! Highly recommend!
Nice interior and delicious kebab! The owner, Ben was really nice and funny. Had a great time and good service Recommend this restaurant and their beef kebabs.
Today was my kids birthdays We went to Termeh downtown restaurant. Everything was great. We had such a warm welcoming. Environment was nice and friendly. I highly recommended this place.
I came here for my birthday, had amazing delicious food. The atmosphere and music were great. Would definitely recommend this place for great Persian cuisine!
Best Iranian restaurant in canada foods are amazing and taste are same as Iran very good price and high quality of food ,recommend it to everyone.
Best Persian in Calgary
I went to the Sierra springs location for the first time and it was great. So Ive been ordering from the downtown location from doordash and yesterday they send me cold 1 day old soggy Tahdik ghormeh. So today when I ordered the same thing I mentioned in the comments dont send me old Tahdik. My order was $27 so what do they do??, they forget my $15 kuku and send me Ghormeh Tahdik without the Ghormeh. When I called the store the lady that picked up the phone was super Rude and we spoke in Farsi, she didnt care about my concerns, and made it sound like I made the mistake not them. I order from doordash twice a day everyday!!!! So Im not new to doordash. The Sierra springs location is run so much better than the downtown location. The staff in the downtown location need more training. And the owner needs to know that the staff in the downtown location are giving his business a bad name. Im a new costumer and they messed up my order 2 days in a row on doordash. It seems like they dont care about doordash costumers. Too bad the Sierra springs location doesnt deliver to my house.
Wonderful tasty food ! Enjoyed yogurt chicken kabob and torshi try the tea with cardamom to finish the experience. Food
Well designed dishes, great vibe
A gem in the heart of Signal Hill in Calgary. Delicious food and excellent service. We were quite surprised at how good the food was. Highly recommend Termeh.
The food quality was acceptable, although I was not satisfied with customer service. I had a beef koobide $22 approximately, while on UberEats the price was $19 and when we told them the problem, they didnt adjust the price. Their excuse was the dine in and pickup price are different, while it is not true in other restaurants and sometimes UberEats prices are higher. All in all, I wont come back again.
I came to this place today, the food was delicious, the service was Woww... and everyone was super welcoming. Sana was our gorgeous and friendly waitress. She was really professional and has great energy. We came all the way from Toronto and it worthed it. I recommend this place for sure. Thank you, sana
The staff were super friendly even though I mixed up my order and went to the wrong location! Definitely coming back.
We were a large group Friday night. The mirror accents beside the table was very dirty and smudged. The food was excellent. Service was not very attentive
This place is a total gem (Im writing about the downtown location specifically). Food, drinks, atmosphere and service are all top-notch. My personal faves is the ghormeh stew with tahdig. Sooooo delicious. The spiral potatoes are a fun touch! The homemade doogh and tea w/ rock candy is really good too.
Top notch. Youd definitely enjoy your experience there.
I love the food and service at Termeh. I always get the Vaziri - highly recommend it. The portion size is great and absolutely delicious. My go-to persian spot in Calgary!
Everything is super cool! Live music, food and staff. Hidden gem in Calgary Food : 5/5
One of the best place with good service, amazing food, big portions and normal price! Recommend
This place is simply great. Live piano music, nice service, very good food as if Im eating at grandmaa kitchen. Main dishes includes garnish, meat, salad and snacks, and are so huge that we shared it with my friend and it was more than enough. Food
I really enjoyed the live music, a combination of flamenco & traditional Persian music. Fabulous food & decor.
Last weekend, it was our first experience in this restaurant. The food was delicious and service was good. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Try it if you are looking for authentic food (not fast food that tastes like cardboard).
This is such a great place to come and enjoy Persian food. I love everything about them. They are so nice and sweet and even give complementary soup ! Definitely worth it !
I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, particularly the incredible live music. The Ghormesabzi was one of the most exceptional Ive ever tasted.
Nice restaurant. Got the sheesha too. The food is amazing. Staff is friendly too. Was served by Mina the waitress. Really beautiful person.. will definitely visit again on my trip to Calgary!! Food
Unfortunately Termeh called me last minute to cancel my reservation as they had a private function. So for that its a one star for everything. How do you not know that you have a private function, as I called to make a reservations a week out.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food!!!
Great food, staff really friendly :)
This place was a very nice place to eat! Food was good and the service was great, the restaurant was very well put together!!
Came here for a charity event and was blown away by the amazing food and atmosphere. Amazing place you wont be disappointed
Very warm and inviting environment. Thank you
Food was awful. My barg kabob was chewy and hard, it was like rubber. it was the worst barg kabob I have ever had. The service was good. The music was great, but I would never go back to this place. Food
Very low-quality food! The koobideh didnt taste anything close to authentic. Our server, the girl, seemed unwilling to be attentive. We asked for another plate, and she placed it on the table while avoiding eye contact and making her back towards us. The service was painfully slow waiting 48 minutes only to be disappointed by the quality and taste! They didnt even bother to ask if we were satisfied with their food! Ill never go back!
This place has been my first experience with Persian food. So I am not the right person to judge whether its authentic or not but I am inclined to believe its authenticity as I was taken there by my Iranian friends. Portion size here is larze so you must order accordingly and best to skip appetizer and directly order main course platters with half rice and half salad. Trust me full rice plate comes with enough rice to feed a community. Only downside here is that the service is very slow so please go there with enough time in your hands
Delicious Persian food. First time going there and the variety and the flavors were outstanding. The meal took a full hour for prep and eating, but well worth the time. Will definitely be back soon.
I went to this restaurant on Dec 31, 2021, the food was very good in terms of quality and volume compare to the price. The crew hospitality was fantastic. If you are looking for a real Persian taste in Calgary, try Termeh, I will go for sure a again.
Great food!
Kind staff. Highly recommend the Delicious torsh Kabab. Very Good place to try Iranian food
Amazing food, great atmosphere! Very Aesthetically pleasing and great waitress! She always made sure you had what you needed.
The food was delicious! So flavourful and fresh! I absolutely loved everything I ordered. The friends I was with were also impressed by the food here. Staff was super attentive and sweet. Cant wait to visit again!
Great meal with work group Large portions and great flavor.
Second time Ive been here and the experience was consistent. Great food! Large and tasty portions.
I invited my boss to Termeh for Nowrouz and Persian food he was very happy and impressed with food and service and I too! Wonderful people and very delicious food!
This 5_star is mostly for Mahshid the person who answered our phone, waited patiently for our arrival, greeted us and made great recommendations. She has by far the kindest attitude I have come across in all restaurants in BC and Alberta. Be generous, a double digits tip can go a long way for such hardworking characters. Thanks you!
The food was really good. We had Mirza as appetizer, the main dishes were Kuku (vegetarian) and beef torsh. Big portions.
Great fresh persian food. Both locations are always a nice place to visit. Very clean and the downtown location has a mixture of modern and traditional vibes. They also have a separate area for hookah, which is a nice accommodation. The service is always great and very friendly owners. Definitely a must visit place if you live in Calgary or are traveling from out of town.
Great and cozy persian restaurant! We loved the offer of half rice plus salad vs full rice. It also comes with a delicious potato stick which I have never seen in a persian restaurant. They also have a hidden menu :) Baghali polo ba mahiche is not in the menu but we asked them and they said they have it. Delicious food and kebab. I preferred the food comes a little warmer but overall I recommend it. Cheers.
We had a fantastic time here , food is just super delicious and staff are lovely we will be back for more
Went with a group of friends on a weekday evening for dinner. They only had one server so service was slow (even though ours was the only group at that time) but overall it was nice experience. Few cute corners. We ordered lots of food and everyone loved the huge portion size - be it appetizers, main dish or dessert. Taste was alright for Kuku and Mirza (vegetarian options), Would recommend $75 family feast option for 3-4 people as it was reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food it comes with.
This hole in the wall restaurant is an absolute gem! Staff were amazing and friendly, and the food was as authentic as you could get in Canada. With fresh Persian spices, and the owners mothers own recipes. A must try!
Good tasty food!!
Amazing vibe and food was extremely delicious. The proportions are huge! I had the chicken johjeh and def recommend that. I also suggest doing 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad because that by itself is super filling.
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Termeh. We had Kashkebadenjun and Vaziri kebab. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for Iranians far from home and whoever wants to try good Persian cousins.
Amazing place. I tried the cinnemon tea. We also tried the beef kabob meal and the Ghormeh Sabzi. Great quality and authentic taste! The decor was beautiful and our server was really nice. Highly recommended. My favorite spot in Calgary!
Amazing food. Really good service. Love it.
Worst quality and too expensive
Just was in Calgary for few days, Feed your body and Soul here
Visited Calgary and found this Persian restaurant. I was amazed by the quality of food with a reasonable price. Also met the owner, Beniamin and staff. They are very welcoming! Overall its a MUST to try.
Friendly staff and they went above and beyond to accommodate a large party
Best Iranian restaurant in Calgary! Try yogurt chicken and special koobideh, they are awesome.
Excellent flavorful food and friendly staff. They missed my Mirza on the rush but will make it up for later. I am glad they have a location in city centre.
The Kabab Torsh and Jujeh were excellent.
One of our favorites places. Yogurt chicken is the favorite dish. Portions are huge. Highly recommended.
4 if we were in Iran specially because my home city, Mashhad is famous for its Kabas; but 5 for Calgary. Didnt like the Chenjeh, but chicken & loghme kabab were good :) Edit: make sure to call them before dropping by. They were closed one time, and the other time the whole place was reserved so they didnt serve any food :( Edit 2: after going there multiple times, i think that their best dish is Beef Torsh :) Dietary restrictions: Halal
Loved the food here. Its a basement restaurant so tucked in between 2 other places and down stairs. The young server was very helpful and explained a lot on the menu. Delivery services picked up a lot of orders in the 2 hrs we were there.
I finally got around to trying this place. Atlas specialty was the best persian(iranian) restaurant in Calgary, but sadly in 2020 they closed their doors, Ive tried 5 different Persian restaurants in the last 7 years numerous times and nothing ever compared. I ordered the gormeh Sabrzi and the joujeh koobideh combo, I was absolutely blown away, Finally Persian food that equals if not surpasses the late great atlas, they have earned a permanent customer. Staff and owners were beyond friendly. The prices are unbelievably low for the quality and portion size. My biggest regret is not having tried this place sooner. 5/5
One of the best places to enjoy Persian cuisine in downtown Calgary. Ben is a great host. We shall return soon.
Tasty food and friendly staffs
The food was delicious, the service was prompt and everything was reasonably priced. Ill definitely be visiting again!
Im slowly becoming familiar with Persian cuisine and this place defininitely helped me fall more in love with it. Their gormeh was extremely flavorful, wity a strong lime note, but the beef was a tad bit dry. The chicken koobideh was absolutely excellent!.. super flavorful and tender. I tried the other Persian restaurant in town (which is also very good) but I give Termeh the edge. The menu at Termeh isnt quite as deep, but it still has plenty options and all the essentials. The quality of sides, portions, and flavors are better here. Youll also get nice ambiance in a casual spot if you choose to dine in. All thumbs up from me!
We like the chicken and minced beef kabobs.
Very good service, very friendly staff. amazing Persian food selections. Nice atmosphere and seating area. Available parking at the back.
Termeh has incredible food, hospitality and atmosphere! Upon walking down the stairs, the sign and floral decor is an dream instagram opportunity! Once inside, seating is spacious but also cozy and intimate. We ordered the appetizer platter, chicken yogurt kebab and Persian tea (with rock candy!). Food was quick, delicious and amply portioned. Tahdig was not on the menu, but the lovely server let us know they had some and it was absolutely amazing. Overall, a fabulous, authentic meal in a charming environment hosted by great staff! Definitely will be a regular visitor! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options that are easily identifiable by a leaf symbol on the menu
The quality of the food was very good and the service was excellent
Amazing Persian food thats in the basement of the building. I arrived at 11:30 AM when it said they opened but they were a few minutes after that so something to keep in mind in case you are on a tight schedule. The inside has several IG worthy tables but I took mine to go. I got the hummus with pita chips and the kibbudeah combo (rice, spiralled potato, and two types of chicken. It was enough food for two people and so yummy. Credit cards accepted. Go get it.
Best persian food in calgary, Best atmosphere and great service Im taking my friends to this restaurant next time thank you for this beautiful experience
Superb food and great customer service
This is a beautiful and clean restaurant. The food was totally delicious and well priced. The staff are well mannered, polite, and friendly. I will definitely come back to this restaurant. The food which I have ordered was mix-kobideh.
This was one of the worst restaurants experience I have ever had. Tasteless food, gross salads, poor quality, terrible service, lots of staff contradiction, very expensive for nothing. I gave this place 2 chances and both were horrible. Never recommend and don t go because you ll get terribly disappointed!
Bad flavor and horrible quality. Anyone who gave 5 stars has no sense of taste or food!
Suggest to try. Amazing place. well decorated. kind staff. I do recommend.
Nice Cafe and restaurant! Not as packed as the other Termeh, which is quiet refreshing. Lovely waiters and delicious Persian cuisine
Great food ! Hard to find good Persian cuisine in Calgary and have something downtown is a blessing
Awesome food, great location, professional service! Loved it.
Food was good. Deducted 3 starts for inaccessibility. We had to carry the stroller as there was no elevator and there was no changing table in the bathroom.
Recommended by my Iranian friends and colleagues. Healthy authentic Iranian food. Savory but not overly salty. Reasonable pricing and large portions.
Excellent food! The portions and cost is very reasonable. The service was really great. For sure it has become a personal favorite in Calgary. This is a great place to come in larger groups of family and friends. There are many options for parking. All the best to you guys!
Delicious meal! Very flavourful and kind and friendly staff!
In the lack of Persian restaurants in Calgary, Termeh can satisfy your whims of Iranian foods. Beautiful plate and design but there where so much room to increase the quality. Chenjeh was under cooked and Kabab had a flavor that Ive never tasted in any Kababs before.
