UNA pizza + wine Calgary: 17th Ave in Calgary

Pizza was awesome and not soggy at all for think crust. Had the feature pizza (Chicken parm) and was skeptical but loved it. Great choice if you love chicken parm. Nice crispy pieces of chicken on top. Spaghetti on it was very tasty. Highly recommend getting the fried garlic bread as an appy and get the side sauce for dipping. Its been a while since I was here but will be back for sure.

The food here is incredible, along with the service and atmosphere. The reason for the 3 star is due to your added 20% gratuity for serving 6 people. This is ridiculous and should be removed. I m glad you removed it from everyone s bill and we do appreciate it. But I want to make people aware of this charge in case you are showing up as a group of 6 or more.

Great family dinner on Dec 6th. We had hyped up Una to our visitor. As always, it was a great experience! Have the walnut-stuffed dates, youll be in Heaven! Parking: Busy, noisy, fun!

Ordered takeout and found the pizza crust very bready, and toppings minimal. Used to be one of our favourites but seems to have gone downhill. Not to mention it was fairly pricey for lower quality.

I went there for a work lunch last week and had a fantastic experience. I shared the sweet and spicy prosciutto and the mushroom pizza, and both were delicious. The server who took care of us was super friendly and knowledgeable. After lunch we had a good chat about the incredible playlist as well - it was the perfect backdrop for a great celebration lunch! Thank you!

I m sorry but this is the absolute worst pizza I ve ever had. When you are charging premium prices for a pizza I would expect quality ingredients and not cheap deli ham. Or atleast be transparent about it. There was barely any cheese on it and a tasteless pizza sauce. This was a waste of money because it won t get eaten.

I wanted to check out this branch of Una but ended up having a very bad experience

Its a noisy atmosphere when I go in the evening and its a bit pricey, but the food and service are good. I ordered pepperoni, gnocchi bianca (gnocchi... the same rice cake), and garlic bread, and it was very delicious... There were no pizza reviews that said it was that good, so I ordered just about anything, but many people around me ordered the one with arugula in it. I didnt get a recommendation, but the arugula seemed to be okay as well. I also ordered the sangria in red and pink, but the red tastes a bit sweet and the pink is clean, so I recommend the pink.

Unas service is quite rude but the food is good. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front was quite condescending, but not too much of an issue since the server more than made up for it. Id suggest the other locations as this seems to be a persistent issue with the hostess at this location.

That kale caesar salad was the best salad i ve ever dug into! Walked all the way up 17th just to find this place because i ve heard great things, and they did not disappoint!!! The salad came out super fast which was great and it is HUGE! It makes for the perfect appetizer for 2-3 people! Ordered the spicy sweet pizza which was just delicious and also a good sharing size. Drinks were good, service was fast, and we didn t have a reservation but they were able to seat us even though they were definitely a busy place! This is amazing and I will absolutely visit again.

Very cozy place, friendly staff, and most importantly, incredibly delicious pizza! Just like from Italy. Although the price is not so cheap (for two of us for one pizza and 2 glasses of wine it was more than $70 with tips) but it is definitely worth it! I recommend this place to those who want to touch a piece of Italy in Canada

Supreme and bbq chicken pizza is so good

I ll start off by saying I love una. But due to the price I don t eat here often. One thing I ve noticed is that every time I order the mushroom pizza, there are less and less mushrooms on the pizza. Which is really disappointing. Una was my favourite because they didn t skimp on the mushrooms but now I m afraid I must revoke that status.

Amazing mushroom pizza! Some reviewers mention a lack of mushrooms, NOT TRUE! I asked about it and it turns out there was a different chef for period of time but trust me as a mushroom enthusiast you have nothing to worry about here, oodles of mushrooms and perfect balance of all toppings. Amazing service, the playlist was unreal at lunch time, and just a great afternoon vibe with friends 10/10.

Never fails to disappoint, wherever I travel the bar is how does it compare with UNA? So far no body has topped UNA. Love the toppings and varieties of pizzas offered.

UNA is very consistent across their locations in regard to the food, which is always great. I was a little disappointed with the service at this location, though. We sat for enough time to decide on drinks & food before the server came over and he didn t check on us once throughout the meal. He was very nice, just a little absent. We were in and out in one hour. I heavily prefer the Bridgeland location but if you like the hustle and bustle of the city, 17th is perfect for you. Overall it was a fine experience.

I love the pizzas at this place, and the service is attentive and friendly. My only issue is the space; in our last visit, our table was so small that we barely had enough room for our food, and we were uncomfortably close to the neighbouring table.

We want 7 persons to this location to eat pizza and when the payment, he charges us auto gratuity 20% on the top without telling us upfront. Why ??? Is not allowed to force peoples . When I talk to him he told me he can remove it !!!! Then why you charge me you should ask me first . this is robbery with big smile. I never go to this location anymore, and I dont recommend it. I have been a loyal customer of Una for many years, but it has been a while since I have dined-in. My friend and I booked a reservation to celebrate her birthday and we were initially greeted very warmly and were treated with Soda s on the house. We absolutely loved it. Our server made a mistake on our order (we ordered Fried garlic bread instead of Arancini) she allowed us to keep the Arancini and got us the right order right away. About 1.25 hours after we were seated, we finally get our pizza. The restaurant was about 40% full, not overly busy but I could tell the waitress was a little stressed. She came by to check in on other tables but seemed to have skipped over ours at least twice. Our waters were also not topped off during our time there and when we were waiting for our pizzas she never came by to explain what the delay was. At about 2 hours into our dining experience, we have been waiting so long between meals that we had to leave, and the server again never came by to ask how we were doing, clear our plates or if we needed the bill/take out boxes. We tried to politely get the servers attention twice, trying to catch her eye contact many times. She came to check in on the tables adjacent to us and even within close proximity I was politely asking excuse me to get her attention and ignored, twice. I ended up going up to the counter to grab the boxes myself because we really needed to get going and have been waiting for so long. I still left an honest tip for the aforementioned experience above but I am really quite disappointed in this location s service this time. Its dining experiences like this that encourages me to only do Takeaway.

Its good, but not as Good as the Pizzas you can get at their Banff location. So big of a difference you would think they are two completely different stores.

Has to be one of the very best pizza in Calgary. Delicious food, friendly service! Meatballs where excellent. The pizzas are done with quality ingredients and to complement they have some of the best dipping sauces I ve ever tasted. For sure on of our favorite restaurants. They also sell the slice for the go.

Probably our 5th time at UNA pizza , first time at the 17th though. Pizza was good as always, BUT the sangria was less fruity and hell lot of ice. The taste of wine got dilluted as well. You got to understand guys that people come for dining for a great evening out, they dont want to leave your place with a frown.

Visited Una for lunch and had the best service and food. The kale Caesar salad is something I crave all of the time - and never disappoints. Meatballs are marinated in a tomato puree sauce that is so fresh and flavourful! Definitely recommend!

Una is hands down my favorite pizza place! Every time I step inside, Im greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that makes me feel right at home. Their 4-Maggi pizza is an absolute dream I love adding prosciutto and arugula on top for that perfect salty, savory kick. And dont even get me started on the honey drizzle its a game changer! The combination of cheeses, the crisp yet chewy crust, and that irresistible honey sweetness make each bite a flavor explosion. Its like a party for my taste buds! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating, and the vibe is perfect for a night out with friends or a cozy date. If you havent tried Una yet, youre seriously missing out. Treat yourself to the 4-Maggi with prosciutto and arugula you wont regret it!

I FEEL TOTALLY RIPPED OFF. Im new to Calgary and ordered the hyped 4-cheese pizza. Youd think a 4-cheese pizza would have a lot of cheese - not even close! I paid $37 (including $5.00 for the Uber driver) and this was a $12 pizza one could get anywhere. I wont ever buy pizza at this place again.

Despite the price (which is competitive, and not completely ridiculous for 2024), the food is really very good. I visit at least several times a year. However, my last two visits were not excellent with regards to customer service. It was not warm and inviting, and they sat us beside the cash register when plenty of other seats were available. They also made an error on the wine, believing I had pointed and said something different than I did. Again, UNA is a fine restaurant, and you should give it a try!

This place is easily one of the top 3 places with pizza in Calgary. Service is awesome, food is out of this galaxy, and everyone who works there does that with a smile. The staff look happy, and I believe it radiates on the service and the dish. They could do with more space, thats the only criticism. But I really wonder where they can avail themselves of that downtown. By the way, the location downtown is awesome. There is also a small hidden treat of a place close by that shares a tiny connection with Una. But that my friends is something Ill leave for you to find out. Whats life if you cant do a little exploring.

This place is located in one of the Calgary s most crowded places but it stands out so well! The atmosphere here is good, you will get a restaurant kind of feeling, food is great also wine! Terrible service

I ve been to UNA 17th Avenue multiple times because we really enjoy the food; however, the service is not always great. But today, without a doubt, was exceptionally awful. This was by far the worst service experience I ve received in Calgary, and our waitress made sure of that. We made a reservation today, March 17th, for 2 oclock, and when I got there, the waitress took more than 27 minutes to even come up to the table, and when she did, it was only to serve me a cup of water and didn t even ask to take my order, mind you the restaurant was not busy. When my friend arrived to meet me at the restaurant, she came over to give me my food and did not ask her if she wanted anything. We were struggling to get an order of drinks and food in, so when we got a hold of her, we made sure to order everything at once because we did not know when she would come back. After this awful experience, I was very disappointed and left no tip; this upset her as she felt entitled to a good tip after having barely served my table and proceeded to rip the machine out of my hand. I definitely DO NOT recommend this location. If you want to enjoy UNA food, I would go to any other location except 17th Avenue. She never gave me her name, but she was the only blonde, blue-eyed girl working at this time.

Worst service experienced in Calgary. For a restaurant that is suppose to welcome guests to create the ultimate dinning experience, UNA has not only NOT met the standard of excellence that they promise and has terribly disappointed me. The server went out of her way to make sure that me and my guests were not welcome in the establishment and did not even check in on us with her condescending attitude. The restaurant was at 40 - 50% of its capacity so it wasn t busy at all however, getting even water from our server was very difficult as I had to wait over 30 minutes. Ordering food was difficult as well that I even had to go next door to the take out part of the restaurant to get food. Waters were not filled during the meal and the server never came by to check in on us. This is truly disappointing and I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant.

Was there yesterday and had terrible service. I strongly do not recommend this location, you ll have better luck for dinning in experience elsewhere. Waiter attitude and priorities for a server needs tremendous work. Our table was extremely neglected despite slow business. Food was good, but very bad service leaves a sour taste of the experience at this restaurant regardless.

I moved back to Calgary in October 2023 and I have been CRAVING Una Pizza since I ve been back. Daniel has been such an amazing server. I came specifically for the Kale Caesar salad and the 4-maggi pizza (with chili oil of course), but we also got the Community Feature, crispy braised beef shoulder. It was so good! It had a mint chimichurri (why I loved the dish so much) and dressed arugula. Una hasn t missed a beat since I ve been back to Calgary. So glad some of my favourites haven t changed. Daniel was an amazing server & I can t wait to be back again!

I was a loyal Una customer until today. I think this might be my last order with Una, I m sad to say how disappointed I am with the quality and the price. Price goes up and pizza gets smaller. 4 Maggi pizza was like eating rubber, crust tastes like cardboard, not sure how this place has gone so downhill, another sign of the times I guess! Kale Caesar was old and tastes like vinegar. Would not recommend una anymore.

This establishment allowed genocide supporters to stand outside of their restaurant, waving their flag, dancing, singing, yelling slurs, verbally assaulting protesters walking by. I have video proof of these incidents in front of your restaurant. Allowing this to take place is absolutely shameful. Shame on you Una. Una Pizza & Wine supporters the genocide of 2.2 million Palestinians.

Overall, everything was great. Flavours were delicious and portion size was decent. Service was bland. Drinks were over priced and not that awesome. Everything else is great would come again!

Hands down the worst pizza experience I ever had. The pizza arrived cold and tasted like it was 3 days old. We were also missing half our order. Called Una to complain and they blamed it on Uber Eats and told me to contact them for a discount. Called Uber and of course you can t get through to anyone. If I owned Una I would not be using that delivery service. Paid $70, what a waste of money. Was hoping Una would do the right thing and give us a bit of a discount. Never again will I order or dine at the 17th location. We eat at the Bridgeland location quite often and quite enjoy it.

Pizza is delicious, but garlic bread is the best. I found out about it after a friend recommended it, and since I heard it was garlic bread, I thought of garlic baguette, but oh my? oh my god? I want the world to know that Una Pizza Garlic Bread is the best in the world. And you must order tomato sauce as well. The warm, crispy, moist bread can be seasoned with cheese and sprinkled with some seasoning. Oh my goodness. I want to steal the recipe haha. I thought the pizza was sweet and spicy (pizza at the bottom of the photo) and ordered the pizza of the month (top of the photo). It was sweet and spicy for my taste, but it was a bit strangely sweet, so this months pizza (pizza with eggplant, feta cheese, and beef) was more delicious. I remember eating delicious pasta here at the Banff branch. I definitely have to try the cream type next time! Oh, there were a lot of people so I sat at the bar, and the server at the bar did a really good job. He asks questions constantly, is good at making jokes, and it feels like being a server is his calling. I asked his name, but I cant remember it. Sorry... Was the beer also Una original? I ordered it and it was soft, not bitter and moderately sweet. A fragrant beer flavor that goes well with any pizza.

Not cool Una! Put an order in almost 2 hours ago for a dozen pizzas. The order was supposed to be delivered at 7:30 PM. Unas just cancelled the order at 7:35 PM. The worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Will not order from here again!

Ordered several pizzas at 6:15 and website indicated it would be delivered 7:00 at 7:35, received notification our order was cancelled. Completely unacceptable. Our families did not have a plan B and now we have NOTHING for dinner. Terrible customer service

On a Friday night we were left high and dry - all places were booked up in midtown Calgary. But Uno was able to get us a spot at the bar and we were so grateful! The lively, yet intimate atmosphere made things feel social and romantic. Truly fantastic tasting Margarita pizza and Ravioli dish, nice selection of wine by the glass. Was visiting town, but if I lived in Calgary, I would definitely make this a regular spot. Recommend!

It s good Can t understand why people is crazy about Una when Posto is in competition. The pizza options here, are a bit basic, feeling like let s add everything without thinking about the combination of flavours while in posto the selections are more gourmet . Think about this, leak and potato or pistachio touch..etc, great combination of flavours that works well! But here I found that the menus is created more like to be popular sometimes simple is the best and with special touches it can reach above and beyond

In my opinion, they have the most consistent high quality thin crust pizza in the city. I am rarely disappointed with anything here. The brown butter cauliflower is amazing.

Una used to be the place to go for good pizza. Not any mmore. I ordered Pizza and chicken for Take Away, received the order after 40 minutes and was very cold. The counter guy said sorry! Im not impressed....
