Set in a former 1900s hotel, this stylish restaurant serves inventive Canadian dishes & cocktails.
Had a very lovely special day dinner with friends. Was seated in the nook near the front door, which was perfect for our group of 5. Bjorn was an excellent server. The food was delicious, as were the drinks.
Celebrated a friend’s birthday at The Nash. We were seated at a lovely table by the fireplace. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was great. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. Our server was amazing. Very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.
Stopped here on a whim and have never been here before. Great food and service. Had the Prime Rib (offered on Fridays) it was tender and perfectly cooked. My wife had the rotisserie chicken, and she loved it as well. The burger was great as well. Tried the Moscow Mule and it was fantastic.
We got married at the Nash in July and to say this was the easiest process would be a gross understatement. We did both our ceremony and cocktail reception in the Off Cut Bar and it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for our intimate ceremony. From the food, drinks, ambiance and service it went above and beyond our expectations! Dominique, the Nash’s event coordinator, is not only an absolute professional and master at her job, but she is just an amazing person. She was kind, knowledgeable, responded quickly to all our needs and questions, plus she is just a genuine pleasure to be around. All of her food and drink suggestions were perfection (although I believe you can’t go wrong with anything you eat or drink at the Nash). Our wedding day was organized, the food was incredible, and the service was above and beyond. Our guests are still talking and raving about the food, drinks and service. I think we converted a few people to make the Nash a regular occurrence on their date nights and such! I know the Nash will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will be back for many anniversaries to come. If you want an amazing meal and a great atmosphere, definitely recommend checking it out!!
The Nash is nestled into a old hotel with great history. Matthew, the mixologist. Jacqueline and Sierra greeted us when we walked in the door, they were lovely. We also met Mike, who also was fun. Greg who was our waiter Thomas it was amazing. He was on the Rotisserie area of the restaurant and the name of the Rotisserie was named Shelia. We had an extraordinary night, everybody there are so wonderful taking time out to chat while taking care of the other patrons. The food was great cook perfect I love my mushrooms. Check out the history for more information! I WOULD RECOMMEND
Greg was an excellent server! The bison tartare was delicious and as was the local mushrooms. The aged ribeye was disappointing, it tasted like any ribeye steak, with no aged flavor at all.
My friend and I had a delightful dining experience at The Nash last night, and we wanted to share our thoughts. Overall, it was a fairly yummy meal! We kicked off our dinner with the hummus, and the flavor was excellent. For the main course, my friend indulged in the delicious and generously portioned risotto, while I opted for the mussels with frites. The mussels were good, but the broth could use a bit more oomph; even with the Thai basil, it remained quite subtle. The accompanying bread lacked flavour, but the frites were fine. Moving on to dessert, my dining partner tackled the creme brulee, which was not only a massive portion but also incredibly delicious. Highly recommend! I, on the other hand, went for the cheesecake, which was quite dense and heavy on the goat cheese. Unfortunately, the rhubarb accompaniment didn't complement it well. I wouldn't recommend that particular choice. On a positive note, we couldn't get enough of the lemonade – so much so that we each had two! It was a refreshing treat. While there were a couple of misses, we're eager to return and explore more from the menu. The Nash has a promising array of dishes, and we're looking forward to another visit. I will say, that I've visited for lunch and other meals before. The half chicken dinner is superb as well as the grilled cheese & tomato soup for lunch! Thank you for having us!
What an amazing restaurant! I was in Calgary on a business trip and The Nash is a must. The quality of the food, variety, wine and beer selection is exceptional. Our waitress Tracey was very friendly and made great suggestions. I can' t wait to go back to this lovely restaurant.
We attended with a large group and were encouraged to get the Sunday supper. They mentioned it was family style and huge portions, but I disagree. There was 7 of us who got the Sunday supper and it was so disappointing. We got brisket, fried chicken, rice and root vegetables. The rice was plain with no sauce or seasoning and you would think you would have gotten potatoes or something that went better with fried chicken/brisket. The fried chicken was alright but there were so many small pieces that were over fried and hard. We all got one piece of brisket each which was small. One of us barely got enough during this family style and afterwords we questioned if they had plated enough for the five people sitting at one end. The starter salad and soup were a good size and probably the best part of the meal. The dessert was a stick toffee pudding which was good but again very small - it was maybe two bites. I dont think ill be back for the Sunday supper but I do love their brunch/lunch on weekends so I would recommend that! The service was also very good!
Beautiful restaurant well taken care of,outstanding, friendly staff perfect for any type of function. Highly recommend.
Great food! Great service! The mussels and scallops were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
Very nice meal! FANTASTIC SERVICE !
Its a great dining experience overall, awesome service and great food! I just wish the portions were slightly bigger.
The Nash was a fantastic dining experience! Katie, our server, was exceptional in handling my dairy allergy and ensured I had the perfect meal. Her service was attentive and timely without hovering truly top-notch. The food was beautifully plated, and every dish our group ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Well done to Katie and the entire Nash team! Highly recommend.
Visited the Nash for brunch last weekend for the first time. The food was excellent, however the service was quite disappointing. We had an issue arise with our server upon order two spirit-free caesars and two with alcohol. When the drinks arrived at the table we had questioned the server about which drinks had no alcohol. Typically virgin caesars are served in a pint glass, so when they arrived at the table in cocktail glasses, we asked to clarify which ones had no alcohol. The server said the drinks in the cocktail glasses had no alcohol, so trusting the server we tried the drinks. Immediately we knew the two spirit-free drinks had alcohol. When the server returned to the table we had asked her if she could double check with the bartender, to which she replied No, Im 100% sure. The server did not make the drinks so theres no way she can be 100% sure. So we didnt drink the beverages as one of us was pregnant. And then we were still charged for the drink. The service was long, and disappointing.
Always love the Nash. Tonight we asked to split the bill. Server didn t like it. Seems a bit weird for a high end restaurant.
Kevin is an exemplary server. Brought my mom here for lunch for her 91st birthday. We were treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco and Kevin recommended a great appetizer. He was very attentive to our table and I will definitely be bringing my mom back next year for her birthday. I will of course be back sooner than that. Well done Kevin and thank you so much for making it such a special experience for us.
Went here for a wedding, wow everything was so good. Even the vegetarian stuff was done well. Would go back.
Massive fan, great atmosphere here
Had their Sunday dinner $45.00 head amazing value great service. Nice calm high end place. I would book their Sunday dinner soon because I can t see how they make money on this. It s a fixed menu served family style we were a family of 4 including some very picky eaters none of us would change a thing. Parking: Easy to find
Amazing. Ron took great care to ensure we had the best experience, fun, delicious, intimate, truly a wonderful evening out.
Most delicious and hottest breakfast my husband has ever! Eggs potatoes and sausage were delicious and hot! Not luke warm like most restaurants. Highly recommend. Service and atmosphere is the best!
Great food, service is a little slow. Would recommend for sure.
The food is excellent. A bit pricey. All in all a definite go to spot.
First time visit. I was a guest at a group lunch meeting. Decided on the three course lunch menu. Great value. Jambalaya was a good size with excellent flavour. Saved the red velvet cookie for later and wow! What s nice treat.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. My wife and I have eaten here many times. It always exceed our speciation.
They did a great job hosting my buddys wedding. Took some stress off their shoulders.
Loved it.
Excellent service and food, the Bison Tartare is magnificent!
We have been going to Nash 4-5x/year for the last 5 years or so. We have loved its reliably great service and food and atmosphere. We had dinner twice there this past weekend (a break from a nearby music festival), and we aren t sure we will be back. Saturday we were surprised to see such drastic menu changes. The beef short ribs weren t there (we were told they are sometimes still a feature), the risotto is now a small plate vs main as are the mussles which no longer come with fries. Major shrinkflation here. Sunday we had the Alberta Plate 3 course meal. Appetizer was ok (trout) but I had a salad substitution that came with whole leaves (shouldn t salads be bite size?) and cherry tomatoes that were definitely past their prime. The Korean style ribs felt and tasted like a cheap dish being served fancy. Not good. Dessert was ok. Not sure what has happened to our beloved Nash but we left both meals disappointed.
Excellent experience and delicious food! Tried the duck breast, cavatelli pasta and beet salad. Every single dish was outstanding! The restaurant ambience and atmosphere is very beautiful and quintessential Calgary. A true gem in the dining scene! Vegetarian options: Beet salad was great!
This is currently my FAVORITE restaurant in Calgary, and there are so many good places here! The tomahawk steak is incredible. I used a fork to slice through it with every bite. Our waiter was also amazing. The smoked tomato in the gnocchi is also to die for. So so good and so impressed!
Amazing place staff are friendly and attentive Highly reccomend Food
Me and a friend were in Inglewood visiting a gallery when we decided to go to the Nash for a couple snacks and a couple drinks. The environment was so welcoming, and our server Kevin was top notch in every way. The staff are kind and welcoming and the food/drink is varying and I believe that anyone could find something they like at this wonderful restaurant. 10/10, see you guys soon
Beautiful space, lovely staff and amazing food. Can t say a bad thing. Will go again the next time in Calgary for sure !
Great restaurant, only downside is the parking in the area is tough
Staff are amazing, they note your allergies and take care of you . Great job.
Fantastic. Delectable. Exceptional. The tenderloin was prefection. The glaze on the carrots was surreal. Pork belly and scallops melted. We had a really great dinner, in case you didnt get that from the above. Lactose free was accommodated, thank you.
My family and friends had a wonderful experience today at Nash restaurant. The delicious food, amazing ambiance and friendly service provided by John made our night.
Came here for a special occasion and was disappointed. I ordered the prime rib, and it was very over cooked and fatty. The server came by once to ask how things were, and walked away after receiving a response from my partner without waiting to see what I had to say. Had he let me finish chewing, I would have raised the concern. While it s a fine restaurant, the quality of food and service did not align with the premium prices (~$80 for the plate with scallops added) and I expected more for that much.
Been at Michelins all over the world and let me tell you the server Greg is exceptional and up there with some of the best I ve had the pleasure of being served by. Delicious food paired with a world class serving experience. Will be back!
I really liked this restaurant Our service was exceptional Definitely a do-again Food : 5/5
Absolutely abysmal, overpriced food. Definitely will never go back.
Fantastic lunch.
So it was my Besty and me date night and we do have a difference in pallets,! so we were adventurous and try this family style serving on the yyc expo. Well, I am over the moon. Delighted and I can be a fussy fussy fussy person. Everything was absolutely served Perfectly to expectations and over delicious. The service was beyond. I like a knowledgable interesting, Well informed experienced server. Wendy rocked it! I ve never had a bad meal When Nash is doing their best love this place and if you have time to take it in the yyc expo dinner, it s well worth your while come with a big appetite
Came for the YYC EXP, had a great experience! Lively room, lots of customers and live music, but you could still have a conversation. Great vibe. Excellent service, 10/10. Oh, and free parking ( in Inglewood)! Nice. The prix fix was a really good value, and really well executed: Arancini: perfect size, crunchy and creamy. Shrimp ceviche: wonderful balance, I could eat that sambal sauce all day. Meats and Beets: excellent cook on the beef and pork, but the pork wins the day with that open-fire smoke on it. Yum. Beets were a great foil, acidic/fresh. Desert: the lemon meringue (like roasted marshmallow) Excellent evening.
Went for dinner with friends. It was a good time. Great service and food. Would go back.
Every time Ive come for dinner, the food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. I cant say enough about the tasty menu! However, when I came for brunch I was totally disappointed. Cold food and grouchy staff. Ill stick to dinners from here on out.
Hypnotic rotisserie! Excellent for problem solving over a Bordeaux. Impeccable service. Do it
The service is just so-so, not the best, the dessert is too sweet, not for me.
Our server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Cocktails were wonderful as well.
One of the best places in this part of town. Excellent value.
Had an amazing time. We went for just a random night out and ended up with an unforgettable experience. We were greeted when we first came in, by one of the friendliest hostesses Ive ever met. Offered to take our coat and make funny jokes welcoming us as if it was into their own home. After we sat down it didnt take long for our waitress Jessica to come over and take our order. She was friendly fast and courteous. I couldnt eat much so we decided to order one burger meal and a couple appetizers to split between the two of us. We got the appetizers fairly quickly and they were very tasty! But when our burger came out they saw that we were sharing and they cut the burger in half and put them on 2 different plates with fries for both of us! Small thing but made a huge impact! They cared enough to recognize what we were doing and anticipate and change the menu without us even asking them to. The service at this place is what stood out second to none and will be the sole reason why Im happy to come back again. Thank you Jessica and the whole staff!
Great food, great service, amazing cocktails and always very consistent. Would highly recommend.
Best dinner Ive ever had.
Always a great meal here. Service is exceptional and food consistently tasty and well executed. Came here for YYC Exp menu for $45 and was told that they usually have that for sunday supper.
The food was amazing (I had the salmon, highly recommend) and our server went above and beyond! Thanks Mike, you re the best!
Had a nice meal recently before a family night out and a show. Great atmosphere great service. The main course was a little disappointing given the price. I had the special rotisserie prime rib with squash and barley risotto. I did not enjoy the risotto as the grainy flavour was overwhelming but that s probably just a personal taste issue. The veggies are all grilled to an absolute crisp (charred crunchy and blackened carrots and broccolini). Stuffed mushrooms were amazing. The chicken risotto was amazing. Overall ok experience but I have options I prefer in that price range.
Was lucky enough to be invited to The Nash for lunch today. What a treat! Enjoyed the 3 course lunch menu for $29. Started off with fresh prawn salad rolls, then a really well crafted salmon burger with fries and a giant chocolate chip cookie. Perfect for dipping into the delectable espresso martini. The atmosphere is tasteful and bustling. Service is fantastic. My only regret is not taking any photos but the company and conversation were keeping us busy.
A very good restaurant. We were there for lunch. Really no complaints with the food, it was served hot and it was good but it is just your average offerings. We had fish and chips and a burger but the creativity just needs to go up a notch.
Very pleasant food, very pleasant people, very pleasant waiter, very pleasant atmosphere, very pleasant wine, very pleasant experience..... fun place to be!
Amazing food, amazing service. Loved that they have live music. Will definitely be back.
A wonderful dinner with friends. Service from Mike was superb, hes a true professional. A beautiful French Sauv Blanc to accompany roasted broccolini, lardons maple Brussels, beet salad and the scallops and pork belly. All incredibly thoughtful dishes with deep flavour profiles. Crunchy frites, fresh mussels and a rich broth for all the little scarpettas. Only complaint is no light to see the menu, had to ol lady it and bring out the phone flashlight. Thanks Nash! Well be back.
My first time here , had an absolutely amazing experience the staff , the food it was all great
Was there for a Christmas party and their service was top notch. The food was prepared very well.
the vegetarian steak was delightful and the service was lovely.
One of our favorite restaurants in the city! The service and ambience is amazing, not to mention the delicious food and desserts. Will always be our go-to date night spot!
I walked in for my 1st time. I saw a beautiful bar and restaurant...... we sat in the bar and were disappointed immediately. Cardboard boxes of delivery items on the bar, no one attended to. Half open pop cans at the bar to make drinks, bartender dropped martini shaker on the bar in front of us, and it made a loud bang ...no apology. Fries tasted old, like 2 days, mussels were great. Beer served without coasters, which I saw them sitting there, and I grabbed myself. This was at 2 p.m., Dec 30, and prep should have been done well before this. Overall... I will not go back. Please get this podge in order. Not happy.
Just visited The Nash for dinner with a group of 10 on New Years Eve. Our entire party was pleased and delighted with our experience. Our server, Kevin, was knowledgeable, personable, and was a highlight to our dinning experience. We will all absolutely be returning to The Nash throughout 2024! Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for gluten and dairy allergies. Incredibly grateful for this!
Great food and good service.
Sunday night dinners are so great and a very good value. The wine list is nice and the service is superb!
We had lunch last week and now are trying to plan a date night and go to The Nash for dinner. Our server was great sorry I cant remember her name.
Great place. Tasty food and good service!
Delicious everytime we go, the wood fired meats are always a delight.
Worst Anniversary we ve had.
Katherine Elizabeth was by far one of the most amazing servers I ve ever had anywhere in the world. If you crave top-tier service with a side of pizzazz, then look no further for Katherine. I was wonderstruck by her level of service, jokes, and just overall great attitude. A pure saw that status up for success for the night!!
Top notch dining experience-everything we tried was fabulous and amazing service!
My Friend and i have just had at Nash. Great food and ambiance but above all The great service and chat with Dan. Parking: An issue. I hope you do something about it!!
Amazing food and excellent wine selections. Ive been 5 times and I have never been disappointed. The service can be a little slow but what people dont realize is that youre there for an experience. Enjoy the courses...they are worth the time.
I love how this restaurant celebrates the buildings roots. The first page of the menu gives a timeline of the building and it s various uses over the decades. There is also a large map mural on the wall from the 1910s which as a calgarian was very fun to look at! Our server, Wendy, was wonderful and had exceptional table manor. The restaurant itself is very warm, and sophisticated. As for the food! We got the lamb gnocchi with ricotta to start, and it was phenomenal. I could have eaten it as the entire meal. It has the perfect notes of mint coming through to complement to meat. For our mains, my partner got the NY Strip, and I got the house special, which was a prime rib that night. Their steak was good, but could have had more seasoning. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, however, I again found that the meat itself was a bit flavorless and all of the flavor came from the sauce. The prime rib also came with sweet potato donuts, which had no flavoring. I love sweet potatoes, and was really hoping for something amazing. Overall, the meal was good, but I was expecting it to be exceptional given The Nash s reputation.
Youre not doing me a favour serving me a $130 brunch, Im doing you a favour spending my money there. Sad.
A hidden gem in Downtown Calgary! Great for family, friends and business, small but accurate menu, food in this place is great, and it s even better thanks to the awesome service.
Having food intolerances means dining out for can be tricky for me. Luckily the Nash can accommodate mine. Our server knew the ingredients in every dish off hand but did check with the kitchen. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and we put our faith in him to select a wine to pair with our meals. He did a good job. This is the Arctic char and it was cooked beautifully. Noise level was at a minimum, we were practically the only table in there on a Thursday evening. No complaints on this visit, 5 stars!
To start off, I love the Notable restaurant. Knowing this is a sister restaurant, my expectation was naturally set really high. My party had 3 appetizers, tartare, scallops, and gnocchi; they were all amazing! All three dishes were seasoned, cooked, and presented to perfection. Unfortunately, this was the peak of the dining experience. The daily feature pork chop was decent, not overcooked, no complaint there. My great disappointment was with the ribeye steak I ordered. Menu claimed it to be AAA quality, but I honestly think its far from it. I understand its not Prime grade, but it texture was so leathery, even when its cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was also under seasoned, as were the potatoes that comes with it. Though, I do have to say the potatoes were golden and crispy. We did finish our meal with desserts. We have had the chocolate brownie, cheesecake, and the mille-feuille. They were all decent, better than the main course for sure. I really hope The Nash can improve and be more comparable to Notable in terms of quality.
We ve eaten at the nash 1-2 times, good food, but pricy, not really our jam. This review is for the OFFCUTT BAR a lounge we frequent several times a year. Drinks are great. While their cocktail prices do start at $16 which is a bit annoying (should have at least have a few classics for $14), the drinks are great. I appreciate the good glassware and clear ice. We also appreciated the friendly bartenders each time we sat at the bar. Also love the space, lighting, and energy. Hate the prices, but we keep coming back, lol. Our biggest annoyance though the music!! The bathroom had better music. Please, for the love of god, stop playing classic old jingle music, and play chill background beat vibe music lol.
Amazing food and great live music
Excellent food and service, plus not noisy. Waiter, Dan was fantastic, cant say enough nice things about our experience and how patient they were with w/ my elderly parents plus an uncle ( and their hearing issues). Very enjoyable evening and meal
I have walked past this place a lot living and visiting inglewood. Tonight was a good warm Friday in Calgary and i was dressed well. I didn t enjoy the mayhem of 17th so I was going home and decided to stop in here. The bar was a classy vibe that was warm and refined. I told the bartender Mathew I have never been here before so he immediately knew what to do. After a conversation he knew my flavour profile and made me a drink. This drink I enjoyed for half an hour making conversation with another patron at the bar. The drink was called quarter horse it had bourbon and scotch and other complimentary flavours. It was an evening I haven t had in a long time and next time I will take a date here for a dinner and an experience. Parking: Easy and plentiful Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out
Had a good time, went for dinner, food was good, the cod cheeks dish was unique, enjoyed it. Nice deco, nice environment, definitely worth trying.
Neither burger nor fries were great. Especially not worth $26. Got to get those fries crispy! Burger was good but missing something. But I hear perhaps their best fare is elsewhere on the menu and so if I go back to try something else, will update the review.
For a place with this reputation I was pretty disappointed with the food. My wifes Greek salad was essentially all lettuce with a couple of underripe cherry tomatoes, a couple olives, and about a quarter of a red pepper. The rotisserie chicken was put on top while hot, which immediately wilted the salad. My crispy chicken sandwich was tasty but the bread was soggy and fell apart. Our waitress must have anticipated the issue because she brought me a steak knife in advance. Meanwhile the fries were soggy to the point of silliness. Not a single crisp one in the bowl. Wont be back.
Went here as a group of 10 people and the overall consensus was: underwhelming and expensive. First impression when I walked in was that the place was clean, airy and had some character. We were sat at a high table, which for a group of our size was extremely small and did not provide much room for anyone, especially when everyones food and drinks arrived. The restaurant was very busy and it was very noticeable in the service, as it was slow. The server was very friendly and helpful and I understand that it was out of her control on how many tables she had. However, for the price that you pay I would expect a little bit better in terms of a timely service and check ups. I was able to try various dishes between the group and mostly food was very good; steak was cooked perfectly and it was juicy and tender, the rotisserie chicken was delicious. They also nailed all the side veggie dishes. One disappointment when it comes to food was the rotisserie chicken risotto. The chicken was well cooked and the risotto had a good consistency, but the brown butter sauce overpowered the dish with a strong salty flavour which I could not get past. The drinks were okay.... but oh my are they pricey. In short, the food was very good but for the prices we paid I am not sure if the overall experience was worth it? I compare this to restaurants like Major Tom, because the prices are similar and when I think about the food, the service, the views and overall experience here vs there I cannot give this restaurant 5 stars.
Breakfast was expensive (20$ basic) and quality was lacking. Very nice setting.
LOUD LOUD LOUD and NOISY! The food is spectacular and the service is top notch, but it is very difficult to have a conversation without raising your voice. Not recommended for groups of over 6 if you want to chat and catch up with friends. They could use some sound baffling in the ceiling to knock the noise down. Its like dining in a tin can while someone bangs on the sides of the can. Take Tylenol.
Excellent food and service... I do think the main dishes are the way to go despite the higher price tag.. my sister and I decided to share 4 different small plates / appys instead of a main course and all were good enough..(I would skip the crispy prime rib next time) tasted like a breaded chicken strip to me... but the main plates that came out looked to die for.... Next time. Gnocchi and lamb small plate was the winner!
Great dinner, service and atmosphere.
Food was mediocre and does not even worth of almost 200 dolar dinner, waiter was rude, and our anniversary dinner was ruined. We will not come to this place anymore, congratulations..
So lovey! Amazing experience! Kevin was a wonderful server! 5 stars!
outstanding service
We ve gone here for our last three anniversaries. This place is fantastic and Greg is the bomb!
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. If you are looking for a nice place to gather with friends you should consider The Nash.
Great service in a simple, but over-fancy atmosphere. Food is way over-rated and over-priced. You can cook a better and more flavorful steak at home. Dessert looked nice, but I wouldnt go back.
What an awesome place in inglewood! Atmosphere was lively and the food was unbelievably delicious. Wendy our server was attentive and told us some of the history of the building and community.
No good options for Vegan s. I went with my company. There was only one dish which was a very expensive egg shaped falafel called by some other name. Not trying to be unkind, but they weren t good and I didn t eat the meal. There are so many forward-thinking, restaurants serving delicious plant-based options, this place is behind the times. I would give them another try if they made an effort to create a few options of appies and entrees that are more appetizing.
very good food and cocktails !
Great restaurant experience overall, staff is excellent and very professional. Youll have a great view of the kitchen, if youre interested in that sort of thing the food is top drawer and well presented. I highly recommend The Nash to anyone looking for a romantic dinner, night out with the family or friends. Plus you get to experience some of Inglewoods heritage in the old National Hotel, lots of interesting history to learn about!!!
Some of the best food in town! Awesome place with a great history. Jon was one of the best servers I ve had. Can t recommend enough!
A great place in inglewood to check out. We ordered the arctic char which came with a mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. Also ordered the beet salad which was refreshing. The restaurant was packed on a friday night and on the louder side. Server was great!
It was my first time coming to the Nash and Im actually very pleasantly surprised!! Usually Canadian Fare type places would have very mediocre plant based options, but it was totally the opposite! My partner and I shared the two main vegan options and they were actually SO good. The fritters were so crispy and big, and the risotto was flavourful and hit the spot. They even had a vegan spice cake which was seriously so good. Our server was super gracious and polite, so needless to say, a 10/10 experience. Thank you!
Damn tasty. Great staff. Waitress was well informed on menu and checked on stuff with the kitchen for us too.
Great selection of liquor but not so much beer. Appitizers were good. Mains were good. Dessert was good. Well worth the visit. Someone elze paid which was great along with the service. Food : 4/5
Tasty food and amazing atmosphere.
Had a great meal for fathers day
First time at Nash. It was a great culinary experience, with Chef Michael looking after us royally. The rotisserie chicken and risotto was spot on and desert was amazing. Our Server Dan gave us great service and knew the menu and wine list intimately. Huge portions on every plate. We will make sure to return.
Love going for the flavor of the month cinnamon bun. Its huge and perfect for sharing. I didnt see coffee prices but turns out they have drip coffee for $3.50 and French press for $4. It looks like you get more with the french press, I wonder if that could even be good for sharing. The coffee was a little on the sour side but strong. The ambiance is nice but it was a bit hot even with the AC on as today was over 25 degrees out with a heat warning. I enjoyed the stampede hot dog special for $17, the hot dog was delicious and I shared that as well. The potato wedges were too thick however and it came with a berry jam which was a bit weird. I personally would have preferred ketchup. Having said that, its nice to have a restaurant that comes up with new recipes and keeps things fresh. Its fairly pricey which I dont like but is enjoyable for the cinnamon bun on occassion.
The Nash never fails to disappoint! I had the opportunity to try the chicken with the mashed potatoes and the brown butter gravy. I was blown away and cant stop thinking about it. Ill be back
Always consistent and good food. One of my favorites in Calgary.
Large portions and good carnivore food!
Food was amazing and flavourful, the service was attentive and engaging. Will definitely be back here again!
Delicious, and very quick lunch service. I had the daily special, and my date had the Greek salad with rotisserie chicken.
Nice little hidden gem in Inglewood. My tomatoes soup and grilled cheese was out of this world
I ordered the French Toast from their weekend brunch menu after viewing the high/positive google reviews. Its incredibly disappointing and frustrating to me that my food was awful. I ordered take out and assumed everything would be great. While the food looked and smelled amazing, it was deceiving. Every piece of Fresh Toast was uncooked, easily noticed by cutting into it. French Toast is one of the easiest things to cook, how did a professional chef mess that up? I ended up throwing out the majority of my food, such a waste of money. The cream cheese side tasted off, the oat crumble was gross, and the berry puree had a weird taste. Also I received almost no maple syrup in the bag, even though I specifically asked for it? Why would you only fill a container 1/4 of the way? All in all, I wont be returning to this restaurant, except to get my money back.
As good as I d expect based on what I d heard. Great quality, well executed.
I attended a private event this past Sunday at The Nash. I could not believe what an amazing experience this was. The space is gorgeous, the food was incredible and the staff were out of this world good. This stellar combination made for a truly wonderful and memorable evening. Thank you to everyone at The Nash and if you havent been here before you need to go now. P.S. Im still thinking about the risotto!
Went to The Nash YYC for lunch today and it was absolutely fantastic! As a sober person Im always curious to see what kind of mocktails a restaurant has and their selection did not disappoint. The Uncommon Collins was delicious and refreshing. We shared their Wood Fire Grilled Bread and Garlic Confit with Honey and Thyme Whipped Feta. It was sweet and savory and didnt last long on the table! So good. I had the Mussels & Frites in a rich Thai coconut curry that had the perfect amount of spice to it. The mussels were massive and from our east coast. But that broth! After I finished off the focaccia bread I threw all my manners and class out the door and drank it right from the bowl!!! Lol. It was seriously do good. My husband devoured their beef dip before I got a pic and assured me it was incredible. The service was impeccable and we had a really great time. 10/10
Super beautiful!! Great staff, quick service, smells amazing and the food is sooo yummy!!!
Just really impressed. The atmosphere, service and food was outstanding! I d highly recommend The Nash; historic vines, but modern elegant food well done! Extra points to John our server; his knowledge and food recommendations were 10/10 thank you everyone for having us ;) Derek Thistle Real Estate
Very hip place with elegant young vibe. We will return to it
Overall had a very nice experience here. It is a bit pricey but would also consider it a bit of a higher end venue. Definitely a nice place for a couple looking for a nice lunch or supper evening out.
We stopped in to have a bite on Thursday night. The restsraunt was extremely loud, and so was the live music in the cut off bar. The food we ordered was ok, the grilled cauliflower was way to salty, and over spiced. The server was great and deleted from our bill. Over all a bit underwhelming....strange as the last time we dined there the meal and experience was outstanding.
The hostess was good she greeted right away but that s where it all started to go downhill. Slow service, took almost half hour for the server to come by and take our order. Then when the food finally arrived almost another half hour later it was mediocre at best. I had ordered the 10oz AAA steak in medium rare and it came out medium cooked but the worst part was the root vegetables that were basically what the name suggests chewy af, it was basically inedible, very woody and cut my mouth. Asked the server about this and they say this is what their seasonal vegetable was never offered any accommodations never apologized for the slow service just felt like a lot of entitlement. Food wasn t great and the service was even worse, I probably shouldn t have left a tip to prove a point but I did anyways, I wouldn t recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back.
Great food, great service!
I just had dinner with my family at the Nash in Calgary. One of the steak choices was eye of the ribeye . It was a 12 oz cut. I ordered it and I noticed the meat was leaner than a rib eye and the meat didn t separate like a rib steak. I ate it and just made a note to ask the waiter. At the end of our meal I told him I thought I just ate a strip and not a ribeye. He explained that it was the eye of the ribeye, and so it didn t have a cap on it and that s why it s not as fatty as a ribeye. I ve eaten many, many ribeyes, and I m familiar with both parts which are both delicious. The texture of this cut did not match a rib steak simply based on flavour and texture.
My wife and I recently had our wedding at The Nash, both the ceremony and reception, and we couldn t be happier with how it went! The food and cocktails were incredible, and the ambiance was perfect. We ve had so many guests tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they ve ever attended because of the level and quality of service provided by everyone at The Nash. The staff was warm and receptive, while professional and efficient. Our day-of coordinator from The Nash, Dominque, was instrumental in making our event go smoothly and with ease. We would highly recommend The Nash!
Not many vegan friendly options. Thats my main complaint. Otherwise, it is good!
Overall my experience as The Nash was very disappointing. The triple AAA prime rib for $63 was definitely not worth it. The side dish outshined the main course.
Here is a restaurant that tells you up front to not over stay your welcome. Guess what... many of us have many options...note your finish time ...Tables of 3,4,5 or 6 - 2.5hrs.
Loved the experience, the food, the host and the staff! The music on a Thursday night was just excellent but the food really was special! Only odd thing is they totally forgot to serve us water.
The roast chicken and fish and chips are amazing. The desert menu is fantastic and the service was top shelf. I look forward to going back.
A fun, noisy place with excellent food, weve never been disappointed eating here.
I was expecting the Nash would be a place another place just for a drink with expensive food. But I was wrong! The food was surprisingly AMAZING! Fair price considering how great the quality of the food was.
Excellent spot for a date night. Portion sizes are also really nice for a more fine dining vibe.
Had an excellent dinner with friends, the service was excellent! They have a very good dinner menu with something for everyone. It was a very different experience than our last visit. Would go back for sure.
Great place for brunch! Our server Kevin was incredibly attentive and adaptable to our small child. Dessert was next level too, I guess they have an in house pastry chef. 10/10 macarons! Will certainly be back again.
Food was amazing, but I was shocked at the price of house wine , 9 o z glass $ 30.60 . Service was great but don t understand the wine pricing . I thought it was an error but it was not ! Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
We must have been unlucky. I ordered the $95 steak and my wife a different steak. Both were raw, not even close to being medium. We both then suffered food poisoning from the meal and spent the following two days dealing the fall out. We won t be going back. The service though, was excellent and I still gave a good tip as our waitress was very good.
Nice place. The breakfast was good but not the best. Atmosphere and service were good. Try it out.
My husband and I came here for our 13th wedding anniversary, and it was amazing! Wendy out waitress made our night spectacular and was very attentive. We will most definitely be back.
Another impeccable dining experience!!
2nd time here. 1st time for food. We had the elk and gnocchi and beet salad. Crème brûlée to finish. Everything was beyond amazing! I never got our servers name but he made great recommendations; We were right behind the fire bar in the regular section as the other section was closed for a party. He deserves a raise! Xoxo Can t wait to come back again. Shaved head server I need to know your name when we come back. Thx
It was fine. OK food in a fancy setting that led to expectations that were not met.
When you order a burger in a restaurant, you always expect something more. This did not happen. However, the burger was tasty, the salad was a little salty. On a weekday, lunch was crowded and quite noisy (
Was an amazing night, and the best server. Jon was professional, but also made it a relaxing environment which we loved. Highly recommended, and ask for Jon!
Food was delicious. Service was awesome. The ambiance was amazing. It was our first time here, and we had a lot of fun. We enjoyed the Thanksgiving Sunday dinner. We would go back!
This was my first time at both Nash and the Inglewood neighborhood. So many cool bars and restaurants. Loved the BBQ chicken Food
We loved how cute and classy this place looked from the outside. The bar is classy and looks like they have live music on Tuesdays which would be fun to check out. We had the mussels, bread and wings. The only complaint was the snobby hostess, I would recommend not judging your customers when they walk in. We always accumulate a large bill with our cocktails and food and my husband didnt appreciate her attitude and how she basically ignored us. Thankfully the male host came and happily seated us.
Consistently great food and service!
Visited the Nash for a company event. It was my first time there and it was wonderful. The food got rave reviews from everyone and what was even better was the service. The staff were attentive, remembered drinks and very friendly. What an awesome place!
Great food and service. Bison tartare and whipped Gorgonzola and beet appetizer were excellent. Salted caramel ice cream pie was to die for. Can t wait to return
Food was wonderful, environment - eclectic and service was brilliant. A must stop if in the area !
Easily one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. It is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but unlike a lot of big name chef or fine dining restaurants, you get what you are paying for. I really need to try Chef Nobles NOtaBLE next!
Service was not good and food was meh in a nearly empty restaurant. When the entire experience is spent talking about poor service and cold food, its not a good one. Food
First time dining here, and we had the Sunday dinner special. I overheard that this is when they test new menu items, and it comes as a set 3 course dinner. It was $45/person for a very filling meal that allows you to sample multiple fine-dining dishes. Our server was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean. I m annoyed that I only just found out about this :( will be back for sure!
Food fantastic, service fantastic, we love this place and keep taking our friends and family here. Their food is like that great home cooked meal you go home for.
Good cocktails and dessert. Friendly, courteous and professional hostess and server.
Came here later in the evening for drinks and dessert. Had good options for both and even late night deals which was a bonus. The service was great, server had good recommendations for cocktails and desserts. There was a few of us so we got to try different plates. Will definitely come back and try the rest of the desserts we missed.
I liked it
The Nash always seems to show up on best restaurant lists and Inglewood has charm so we were excited to brunch for a friends birthday. Menu had some interesting options but unfortunately the execution was lacking. The soup was just okay, the grilled cheese was more greasy than flavourful, and the chantilly for the French toast seemed to have split and tasted sour/bitter. Service was good but the food quality was lacking sadly.
We love the nash but unfortunately after our latest visit, the mussels gave me a very serious case of food poisoning. I m not sure what the remedy is for the restaurant, but the seafood suppliers should be reviewed. Thankfully no one else from my family had the same dish or it would have likely meant a trip to the hospital.
High class atmosphere and top notch food .
We had great food and service. Portion size was huge and could easily have been shared.
I love what you did to the place. I remember when this was a dive bar and hotel. With auctions at the livery next door. When did you renovate ? Is it still a hotel upstairs?
Had our Christmas party here, had a great time
Fantastic night out for Christmas party with work!!
Really great restaurant and bar area. Awesome food and very good wine selection. Fun fact: The Nash was accidentally instrumental in us deciding to move to Calgary

Good service and atmosphere. Parking: After 6 pm free parking available. Food : 4/5 |
Amazing atmosphere, service is phenomenal, food is delicious!
We walked into the Nash today to ask if they could seat us without a reservation. We were hoping to celebrate finishing a milestone in our medical training journey. The woman at the front was incredibly rude when I clearly asked her if she had a table for 4. She didn t hear me and directed me to a table for 2. When I politely asked for a larger table, she insinuated that it was my fault for using the wrong word. She was absolutely ridiculous and arrogant. Our waitress was equally rude for no good reason. We will not be returning and will warn others about the service here.
Great food and service.
