From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant yet sophisticated a perfect setting for a special occasion. Our evening was made truly exceptional by our server, Petar. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were beyond compare. He anticipated our every need, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured we felt celebrated throughout the night. It s rare to encounter service this flawless Petar turned our dinner into an experience we ll never forget. And the food? Perfection. Every dish was a masterpiece, from the perfectly cooked steak to the decadent sides and desserts. Each bite felt like it was crafted with care and precision. Organized a corporate event with the help of Sharon (Events Manager) who was on top of everything. Communication with her was a breeze and her response time was incredibly fast. Sharon and her team were accommodating, allowing us access to the venue earlier to set up. The food was 10/10, service was incredible, and it was fantastic atmosphere for 50+ guests. I look forward to working with Sharon on future events. Thank you for making the process so seamless and the event memorable.

Just went here with a large group. 4/6 steaks were over cooked. One person ordered short rib and it came out as all fat. Server didn t apologize until manager came up and apologized for the food. Tuna tasted like charred steak as if they seared it on the same grill. Completely appalled by the amount of stars this place had for how bad it actually is. Will not be coming back here nor will I recommend it to anyone.

One guest ordered the short ribs and had to send it back, the 9 ppl at the table could not believe what we saw, it oozed globs of fat when our guest cut into the crust. He cut several other places and it was the same. We got another order but nothing was deducted from the bill. Three of us ordered medium rare steaks and 2 were medium and 1 well done. One guest ordered the tuna and did not eat it, it was far from good, as if it was overcooked. Don t order the crème brûlée. The birthday we celebrated came with a card that was really nice but it was served with what looked like 2 bite brownies from a bag. There was an automatic tip added and it was not mentioned. So I ended up paying for an extra tip. We will never go there again and this is the first time I ve ever written this kind of a review. Update: The Assistant Manager called and apologized. He then gathered feedback to look at quality control, he said, and ensure the incidents do not repeat themselves. He refunded the gratuity and apologized once again. This professionalism changes our overall impression, and it builds trust. We contemplate giving Modern Steak a second chance.

I visited modern with my family today, and had to say the service was exceptional. The steak was great (we had the benchmark series). waited over an hour for our food, asked for medium rare and steak was rare, complained and cooked another steak it was blue rare too, gave up and ate the sides went home hungry. u realize the name of your crappy restaurannt has Steak in the title. Hire a new chef who actually cares. u failed, do better, go back to Steak school.

My wife and I came here for the date night special (with a couple of upgrades) and cant remember the last time we had this much fun at a restaurant. Barb was fantastic and had some great recommendations, and helped my wife pick the right steak to order for her preferred level of doneness. Hope to come back for many more special occasions.

This place was super duper for Awesome Alberta Beef!!! I loved it. The food, the service was all AWESOME!!!! Parking: It was actually hard to get into the area because of construction, but we managed. Once we found parking, they charged both my wife and I. Lucky it wasnt enormous, so Indigo parking made an extra $16....off of us.

Really neat place. Atmosphere was awesome. Food was delicious. Sadly the service was VERY slow!! The servers were super polite. All were great. The manager did come out to apologize and comp d our appies which was great.

During our first week of September we made a late night stop into Modern Steak located on the very lovely Stephen Ave. They kept open just for us and we went to town! Tomahawk steaks, couple of nice sides, desert and a few cocktails. Incredible steak and menu items. Customer service was on point especially our young server Qaisar who was only providing additional support to our original server. Incredible hospitality and cuisine. Shout out to Qaisar who ended up being a photographer who kindly covered my comedy show that weekend! Highly recommend this spot! Qaisar?

Absolutely fantastic first experience at Modern Steak. Our server, Stephan, was knowledgeable of the menu, kind, and attentive! The food surpassed our expectations, the Parmesan risotto with the black angus ny strip almost brought us to tears it was so delicious paired together. Came here to celebrate my boyfriend s birthday, and they even had a birthday card signed and waiting for our arrival. Will be returning again soon and recommending to all our friends! Couldn t get the temperature right on two steaks. For a fairly expensive steak house, when you re paying this much they should be able to nail it, or make it right when they miss. Worst thing they can do is debate the matter or make you feel like you don t understand how steak is supposed to be cooked. On a positive note the truffle fries were fairly decent!

I ve dined at this location numerous times, and the experience is always exceptional. The food is consistently delicious, with the Modern Benchmark Filet and the asparagus or Brussels sprouts being my top picks. The steak is always perfectly cooked, and they offer an impressive selection of wines. For special occasions, they go the extra mile with personalized cards, adding a thoughtful touch to the dining experience.

Ive visited Modern Steak a few times now, and my first visit to the Stephen Avenue location. As always, their Steak always exceeds my expectations. Server and Menu does a very fine job providing info about the sources of their fine beef. Their selections of sides are all very good, I do have trouble deciding what to get each time. Their desserts are also very good if you do have room after a fine meal. I am one who enjoy medium rare for steaks, and Moderns masters behind the kitchen sure got it spot on. Pink and warm.. just perfectly done. This is a restaurant Id like to go when ever I visit Calgary.

We went for what we thought would be amazing steak, Ive been before and it was awesome, unfortunately it took about 45 minutes to get our food that was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for much to long, the steak was very tough, however the sides were okay, we didnt complain about the wait but I did send my steak back and it was replaced with a delicious perfectly cooked steak, but because I had to send mine back we ended up basically eating our meals separately. The service was top notch, our server Peter was amazing and the management staff was as well, honestly probably the best service we have ever had.

Our server was Marina, she explained us the menu, sharing with us the story of the company, offered great recommendations and suggested to pair the steaks with excellent wines from their extensive menu. We were treated with kindness and patience, yet friendliness and professionalism. The food was great, very flavorful and delicious, but her top notch service and the knowledge she shares, definitely makes a huge difference. Her caring demeanor and attention to detail, makes people feel special, appreciated, willing to come back and be taken cared by her, over and over again. What a great restaurant this is. It is located in Downtown Calgary. Had gone for Wednesday date night for a very special occasion yesterday. From entering the restaurant, the reception and our waiter Andrii who served us was excellent. Andrii explained the menu to perfection. We ordered 2 DN Filets, Baked Alaska, Creamy Cognac Peppercorn, Asparagus and a coffee. The food, service and the atmosphere was fantastic. Andrii was very knowledgeable and had excellent customer relations. Would Definitely recommend this restaurant *****.

Highly recommend! We had the pleasure of sitting on the rooftop, which was beautiful on a summer day and had tried the Modern Benchmark Showcase, and all of the steaks were great. Absolutely worth it. Food

2nd visit to Modern Steak and still impressed. I cook a mean steak but Modern nails it perfectly and is only place in town Ill go out for a steak now. Great selection of cuts and grades including Wagyu if youre feeling flush. Wish I could do. 5 star deduction as only draw back was timing. Delay between courses was longer than expected and threw off dining momentum. That said, we had large group of 11 which will naturally take more time and it was well worth the extra wait. And delay was also likely result of extra caution as we have a number of allergies to accommodate. Service was impeccable and we were very doted on. So forget what I said about delay, makes sense so scoring full 5 stars Dietary restrictions: We have sever anaphylaxis to egg dairy and peanuts. Zero peanuts on menu but cross contamination possible with some of the nuts used in salads but could be removed from order Kid-friendliness: Kids ate full sized adult orders so sad for wallet lol

Watch out if youre going here for lunch! They up-charged us at every turn, costing 6 of us $28 just for still water. On top of hustling us to order and leave as fast as possible, they put an automatic 20% tip so clearly had no worries about level of service from the start. 2 of us had the lunch beef dip and agreed it was the worst we have ever had in our lives (bun was barely cut open and the tiny meat portion was resting on top). Will never be returning to Modern Steak again.

Ive visited Modern Steak several times, and my experiences are usually great. But this time, it was terrible. Despite the food and service being excellent as always, the overall experience was ruined. We arrived at 6:30 pm, and the tables around us were occupied by other guests. We placed our order for food and drinks, enjoyed everything, ordered dessert, and then asked for the bill. A few minutes after paying, a person identifying himself as a manager abruptly asked us to leave because other guests were coming soon. This was around 8:00 pm. He did not make the same request to other tables, although they arrived before us. His request lacked basic customer service and came off as rude. It s a shame that this manager ruined our experience tonight. Its especially disappointing considering his colleagues did an amazing job in the kitchen and on the floor, only for it to be spoiled in this manner at the end. Note: it was the rooftop.

One of the best ribbeye steak i ve eaten in a long time. Really, the chefs did an excellent job in cooking the steak perfectly and efficiently. And what made this experience at Modern Steak really incredible and a lot better than the other steakhouse i ve visited was the excellent service given by Bella and Barb. A really big Shoutout to them! They always listen to what you say to them and adds their opinions to the conversation, or even starts one with you, which made us feel important and comfortable as diners. They were always ready for help and always cared to check if we were okay. Engaging with diners with a familiar language is something that i think is hard for some people to do, however, the two of them were excellent on that end and it changed this whole experience for me. I definitely recommend other steak lovers to experience the same service and food as I did over at Modern Steak

Modern steak is amazing! The place is absolutely beautiful and every single staff that works here is fantastic! We travelled from Vancouver island and have never wanted to come back to a restaurant so much! We have even booked a trip to come again just to visit the modern steak. Barb was especially amazing! She has fantastic service and the sweetest soul ever. Shout outs to Ashlynn, Andre and Ashley for making our trip special as well. Can t wait to come back and visit all of you!!

Really nice staff. Steak was not bad. The mashed potatoes were heavenly. The carrots were nice. The not your Shirley drink wasn t my fav. Tasted like gasoline. We chose the lemon desert which was a fancy lemon marshmallow pie with Ice cream. It said flambé at table side on the menu but wasn t done at table side. Not a biggie. Overall nice experience but would get more value elsewhere for better steak.

Wow! What an experience! We happened upon this place while walking around from our hotel, and decided to check out the rooftop patio. 5 drinks, half a dozen oysters, ceviche, and the best 40 day aged bone in rib weve ever had made us seriously consider why we dont live in such a beautiful city with such magnificent food. At Modern, you truly get farm to table. They raise their own beef, on their own ranch, and cook it in a fashion that exemplifies the best that beef can be. Go here, have fun, live your best life. What a disappointment!! We were a trio. We are big fans of Albertan steakhouses and arrived excited. The service at this restaurant was not engaging, friendly, or attentive. The vintages on the wine list do not matched what is served, not a huge deal but definitely something that should be acknowledged - there is a huge difference between a 2016 and a 2017 cab sav. After we asked for a different bottle our server was done with us and ignored us the rest of the evening. We had to flag him down to put in our steak order half an hour after we arrived. We arrived at 7:45 and did not have our main course until 9:20 (at least 45 minutes without food on our table, and again we had to ask where it was). In terms of sides I m fairly positive the mashed potatoes were instant and the mushrooms were bland. The hot rock was a nice touch and our desserts were good. We dined at the 1888 Chophouse the night before (completely different ambiance but same price point) and I cannot stress enough how much better the service was. I won t be back.

Im not a steak person in general, but the taste of the meat was good, although a bit too salty for me. I had the prime alberta beef medium rare and it was cooked to perfection although it lacked a little seasoning in my opinion. The truffle fries were a pleasant surprise for taste with an unexpected slight citrusy taste, however that faded pretty fast so i didn t even finish the plate. The asparagus seasoning was below what you might be used to in other places. Spanish lager was exceptional, and smooth.

My husband and I are regulars at Modern Steak; it was our go to restaurant for a long time. However, the last two times we went, the experience was very underwhelming. This time, we decided to try their lunch menu. We started with an appetizer, and then my partner had the burger while I had the chicken parm sandwich. The appetizer was good we had whipped feta with caramelized onions, which I highly recommend. But the main course was disappointing, especially the chicken sandwich. The chicken was so dry, and while the sauce helped, it was a bit sour and didnt taste good. I was very disappointed and could only eat tree bites of the sandwich. If you decide to go there, skip the lunch menu and have the steak instead, filet trio is the best. I would have left just one star but we had an amazing server. Thank you,Marina!

I love going to modern for my anniversary dinners. The staff is always so wonderful and I love the adorable card the team writes us.

Went here last Wednesday for a team lunch. We were quite a big group and fortunately it was not as busy when we went so we got a nice spot. Our server was great, he was able to provide great food suggestions, took our orders as fast and orderly, food was good. I ordered the short rib sandwich I think with truffle parm fries. It was good, very satisfying. Some of my coworkers ordered the ceasar salad and oh my goodness it was a HUG portion. Overall, it was a good experience!

The experience.didnt start off well, steaks were overcooked. The dinner could have been awful but our waiter and manager were incredible and professional. They apologized profusely.. and immediately fixed it. The kitchen and staff may need some better communication but the level of service is top notch. (Steaks ended up being perfect)

My husband and I went to this Modern Steak location with another couple, to take advantage of Modern Steaks incredible Date Night deal. Everything was top-notch, from the food to the cocktails and wine selection (we always upgrade the wine from the default date night bottle, and you can take it home if you dont finish it with your dinner). Most exceptional was the service, Marina made sure our every need was attended to and was ready with informed recommendations. She also made sure that those of us who arrived early were informed about the amazing happy hour deals which we definitely appreciated!

For being the #1 steak house in Calgary this was the worst steaks we ever had the lights are set so dark you can t even see how the steaks are cooked the Brussels sprouts were burnt and only thing that was good that night night was the tap water and the mash potatoes and the only thing outstanding was the ceaser salad the steak was supposed to be medium not rare or blue rare I would hate to see how the $600 steaks are cooked best steaks in Calgary are Chopped steakhouse and bar on Hopewell way NE

For food and service, Modern Steak is hands down better than Major Tom. Steaks are top notch and delicious. Either booked well in advance or last minute, the service has always been exceptional. Modern is by far my favourite steakhouse on the planet! What makes it the best? Everything! I have eaten here 3 times, and have had exceptional service each time. The steaks are unreal and sourced from a local, family ranch and are unreal! I grew up with cow farmers for neighbours and have eaten many steaks and never had a steak as good in a restaurant as Modern! I love how there is complementary truffle popcorn brought out soon after sitting down. It is delicious! Selecting your own steak knife is a nice touch. I absolutely love how they bring 3 different salts to optionally, additionally season your steak. And the ambiance is awesome! Modern is so cool! I could not imagine being in Calgary and not having a meal here!

It was honestly a wonderful food experience. The staff were very friendly. Our hostess Marina really took good care of us and walked us through the menu for all the halal options. She made sure we were comfortable and checked on us after and before any course arrived. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Came here for lunch last Friday. We were seated on the rooftop and the vibe was great! The environment was clean and well-kept. Our server was very friendly and checked up on us often. The food was delicious! I had Steak Frites and my boyfriend got The Burger from their lunch menu. We also got truffle fries and Caesar salad as sides. So good!! We had a wonderful experience and are already planning to come back on a future date night!

Ordered the beef tartare for entrée, medium beef fillet and the mushroom risotto. Overall it s not bad! One comment about the beef tartare and the risotto: both a little over seasoned for my liking. The value the cost ratio is not that great.

I had the opportunity to enjoy happy hour at Modern Steak this week and WOW! I am not often in Downtown Calgary but have definitely been missing out. This was the most elevated happy hour experience. The food was amazing - I couldnt decide between the Rib eye or Striploin, they were both amazing. Cant wait for my next visit!

Obviously the food is amazing, however we need to talk about service. Barb is one of the most amazing servers I have ever had since I moved to Calgary. Her attention to detail is impeccable. I personally have been served by her multiple times and she never disappoints. If you are thinking about making a reservation, do yourself a favour and request her section.

Celebrated my birthday and service was excellent right when we walked in. The Tomahawk and Flat iron were very flavourful. Mushroom side was a little salty but we enjoyed the mash potatoes, chef veg. and garlic butter. Our server was excellent. Would come back here again.

Overrated food and overpriced; save your money and go to the Keg. Steaks were overcooked and chewy, sides were good but portioned very small. Ended up getting Thai food on the way home as my 12 oz steak and bite of potatoes wasnt enough. Wont be returning.

A Valentines Day Fiasco: Where Love Went to Die So, Valentines Day, the day of love, or in my case, the day of financial extortion at the hands of restaurants. Lets dive into the thrilling tale of my $119-per-person adventure at Modern Steak! Upon arrival, I was greeted with the sight of a set menu and an automatic 20% tip added on, which i had booked a few days back. Ah, the sweet aroma of romance mixed with financial regret. With no other options available because apparently, every other restaurant in Calgary had been abducted by aliens, we reluctantly took the plunge. The evening started with an amuse-bouche that left me questioning the chefs sanity. Arancini? Really? Nothing screams Ive given up like serving up glorified rice balls as a prelude to culinary disappointment. Next up, the seafood sampler for the mrs. The waiter, clearly auditioning for a role in a slapstick comedy, managed to spill ice on the table. Bravo, sir, bravo. Despite his icy mishap, the seafood actually tasted fresh, much to my surprise. However, the tartare was a different story. It was like someone had mistaken our table for a condiment buffet. Mustard overload, anyone? Then came the corn chowder soup. Yes, you read that right. Soup on a set menu that costs an arm, a leg, and probably a kidney too. To add insult to injury, the waiter forgot to provide a spoon, leaving me to contemplate the meaning of life while staring at a cold bowl of disappointment for 15 minutes! Moving on to the main course: steak with mashed potatoes and wilted Brussels sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection (Rare), but lets be real, you cant really screw up cooking something for four minutes. The Brussels sprouts, on the other hand, looked and tasted like theyd been sitting in the steamer since the dawn of time. And dont even get me started on the mashed potatoes lumpy doesnt even begin to describe it. Finally, dessert arrived in the form of eclairs that were drier than the Sahara desert during a sandstorm. I could practically hear Jeremy Clarkson narrating a sand job on the latest episode of The Grand Tour. As if the culinary catastrophe wasnt enough, the bill came with an automated 20% gratuity slapped on. Because apparently, subpar food and service are worth their weight in gold. Modern Steak is perfect for those who enjoy the exquisite taste of disappointment and blandness. As for me, its another venue added to the ever-expanding no-go list. Bon appétit, or should I say, bon disaster!

Went here with my family for Xmas dinner. The crab in a jar was sooo salty and sour. The steak was mediocre, waitress was not helpful, not nice, barely made an effort to introduce the food. Talked with a poker face. Overpriced, not worth it at all

Great service and food.

Went there for a work event. Shared the seafood tower which was wonderful! Had the baked Alaska for dessert and that was terrific too! My experience was very good. I am glad I didn t try any of the steak that night. Peers had some steak and the two people beside me had different cuts and both were not cooked well. A little dry and tough.

I can t say enough good things about our first visit to Modern Steak! The service was impeccable. I had noted in our reservation that we were celebrating a special occasion and it was acknowledged the moment we arrived. The host team greeted us with a special congratulations and acknowledgment for the reason we were there to celebrate. Nick, the manager, escorted us to our table and provided us with complimentary sparking to commemorate our visit and start our night off on a positive note. Jay, our server, took excellent care of us throughout the night. Both Jay and Nick made excellent drink and food suggestions for our night which we followed. They both regularly checked in with us through out our 2.5 hour meal and made us feel incredibly special and valued. It seems rare these days to find service of this caliber. Nick and Jay played an incredible part in our special night. I highly recommend this team if you are planning a special occasion meal. Modern Steak has now taken over as my new favourite Steak restaurant in Calgary. I ordered the Modern exclusive Ribeye steak. This steak is hands down the best steak I have ever tasted! I have been to places like Vintage, Caesars Steakhouse, and Saltlik, but Modern has become my favourite. This is a must go to steakhouse! The appetizers were also excellent. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio and the Warm Crab in a Jar. Both were recommended by Nick and did not disappoint. The Beef Carpaccio was my personal favourite. This is a 5/5 restaurant. If you have not had the chance to visit, I recommend making this your next destination. It will not disappoint!

Best steak I had for a while. The beef tartare was also to die for. The drink was fantastic and staff was super friendly and efficient. Its so close to where I live and I cant believe Ive missed it for so long. Definitely coming back. I want to try other things on the menu.

While in Calgary, I felt compelled to try their famous beef, and by chance, I stumbled upon this place. The server, Björn, was incredibly welcoming, and his recommendations were highly satisfying. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance lived up to its modern name, and the overall experience was a delightful surprise. Additionally, other servers would occasionally check in on us, making us truly feel cared for. And if I were to revisit Calgary, my intention to return would be 100%.

Was here with a group of 8 friends and had one of the best steak dinners Ive ever had. The service was impeccable and we were never left for want. What can I say other then you need to try the steak here!! We would love to come back again and enjoy another beautiful evening in this incredible space.

We chose Modern Steak to celebrate our anniversary last night. We have eaten here several times before. I wish I could give it five stars, but it always just misses the mark. We ordered the Filet Trio and they arrived at the table room temperature and two of them were cooked to medium and we ordered a rare/medium rare. 1 of the steaks was cooked perfectly. The steaks were wonderful and of the highest quality. We ordered the béarnaise and crab sauce for $23 and it was watered down and not creamy and rich as I would expect. The cognac sauce on the other hand was perfect. We ordered a bottle of the Armani Tomasi ($133) and our waiter provided excellent bottle service, although the first decanter had a lot of water in the bottom, and we asked for another one. We could not leave the bottle at the table because there was not enough room. As you can see in the picture, the table was too small. When they brought the food, the waitress almost pushed my plate onto my lap. It really was ridiculous as they struggled to place the food. This went on for a few minutes until I finally asked for a larger table, which was denied. They ended up stacking our dishes on the platter. I was not happy about this, and expressed my surprise that they havent solved this. The desert was complimentary because it was our anniversary, and was delicious. We went with the suggested Port pairing and it was a perfect fit. All in all, a good dinner but for $425, it should have been exceptional.

I don t like giving bad rating but honestly went there for my Bday and the experience wasn t great. Steaks weren t good at all for myself and the 10 guests. Service was okay at best. On the bright side, portions for sides and steak were very filling.

My husband took me tonight and our meal and experience was fantastic. Mike, the manager, went above and beyond, and our server, Ashley, was just fantastic. Highly recommend the dungeoness crab in a jar, wagyu dumplings, and the steak sampler. Start to finish, a truly great meal. Best creme Brule Ive had a well. Highly recommend the whole experience.

Wagyu tasting menu was next level. So enjoyable. Staff was great as well. Temperature was a bit too warm upstairs.

Madison was our table side server and was attentive and knowledgeable in the vast menu. Our service was outstanding, the food was phenomenal and the baked Alaska was over the top!

Popcorn cute. Steak was great, and the waitress gave lovely advice on the order as to which best to eat the steaks as we had a trio. Drinks were good (not the water). Sides were not executed well on flavor profiles but looked beautiful. The potatoes were what I imagine a deer feels like at a salt lick. I adore salt, but there was no other flavor. Flambe dessert was worth it for the experience alone, but the flavors and textures are also noteworthy and fun. Wait-staff got the max auto tip option. Will be trying other options first next time im in that part of town, but this is a valid option for fine dining for most. I recommend a reservation if you really want to have the best overall experience because even if they are half empty, they will put you either in or beside the bar for a walk-in. Dietary restrictions: Wait-staff seemed knowledgeable about allergies. Parking: Its a very popular place to be, I recommend using the nearby parkade, but you might get lucky and get a spot nearby. Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing most children here for dinner. Wheelchair accessibility: Their washroom is NOT wheelchair accessible. I dislocated my ankle recently, and it was many stairs into the basement.

this place is over hyped. you go there and its the only steak house that doesnt offer asparagus, furthermore when i got my steak they had put balsamic without asking me on my plate. im overtly sensitive to the smell and it does not have an appetizing look. why do places that try to be fancy feel the need to do weird stuff to your plate. also the location is extremely inconvenient to get to. thought Ill try it. will never go back. Keg is much better experience and they do put anything weird on your plate wirhout asking. Ruths Chris is down the street and night and day better experience, with more options for vegetabless

Went there for a friends birthday. The service was great but the steaks we ordered had no flavour. Probably the worst tasting steak I ve ever had.

Visited Modern Steak for my birthday dinner and the GM was very kind and apologetic for not being able to seat us for our reserved time. Ordered the Black Opal wagyu ribeye and it unfortunately came out very charred and underdone on the inside. Definitely consider the benchmark steaks over the wagyu unless you want to waste $160. Pretty hard to offer this feedback when the staff are afraid to ask how your meal is going after seeing a questionably black chunk of meat on your plate. Surprisingly the non-steak option were the redeeming items of our meal.

Best steak Ive ever had, medium rare from the Lacombe, AB supplier. This restaurant not only cares about where their beef comes from, they deal with specific farms grass and grain fed. We were with children under 10 and their appetites were satisfied. I have a severe garlic allergy and every precaution was taken on every dish. Servers and service was top notch. Great dining experience we were early on a Saturday before the evening rush. This was the Downtown location.

We had some problems with our steak and most people sent theirs back but the atmosphere was great and the service was fantastic. They did everything they could to resolve our issue and I would go back again. I really like the place in spite of that pretty serious food issue. My husband and I visited Modern Steak last night per one of our friend s recommendation. We are from Ontario. All we can say is that Alberta beef hits different! It tastes incredible all on its own. My favourite was actually the beef carpaccio! What a unique experience here with a huge selection of cuts and steak right from the ranch. Great service as well, knowledgeable staff. We will recommend it, but we will also be back!

A steakhouse located downtown with a nice atmosphere. The event is held on a specific day of the week, so you can eat relatively delicious meat at a low price, which is a good choice. The inside of the store is a bit dark, and blue lighting is used. Parking spaces must be parked elsewhere downtown. The staff are very friendly and the food tastes good.

Is not just steaks its a complete experience. Our server was Marina M and she made our time there absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended as they have amazing halal options.
