Im very happy with the service and the food! Will be going back again should I ever set foot in Calgary again.

Without stretching the truth at all I can say that my steak was one of the best Ive ever had in my entire 57-year life. The renovated old structure provides warm and inviting atmosphere. Further the service was very good with staff that were happy to be there.

Great stakes and food in general. Alberta Ribeye and the Brant lake Alberta waygu were the two I tried and loved. Butter aged was not my cup of tea and a little tough. All the apps and sides Ive tried were delicious. The chocolate lava cake is worth saving a little room for. Stakes were on the salty side but will not mark down, I like that others dont. The service was good, but not 5 star. Its a pretentious enough atmosphere and price point to serve the plate and clear from the correct side.

Everyone knows that Alberta has some of the best cuts of beef in the world, so it s no shocker that I have been eating alot of pho and quality steakhouses meals. Located in YYC historic beltline neighbourhood of Victoria Park since opening in 2003, they have received the Birks Silver Spoon award twice, Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence for six years running, and Diners Choice Winner Stealhouse from OpenTable this year as well. As you cut into their steaks, the juices flows freely, making every piece even more delicious, while each mouthful a mix of tenderness and taste, making your meal special and satisfying paired with the fine bottles of wine. We had issues trying to decide from the extensive wine list than choice Alberta steaks My compliment the baked lobster mac and cheese that was creamy delicious. A good cut of steak is always a go-to splurge for me. Both the Porterhouse and Rib Chop was juicy, tender, loaded with flavor, well balanced amount of fat ratio and cooked to perfection. The portion with all the sides was enough for the five of us to share.

I honestly cant think of one negative thing to say. Our experiences have been so good everytime. In the rare event that there has been any problem, the staff solved it immediately. With that being said, Dana is absolutely fantastic. So attentive, friendly and sweet. Id give 5 stars just for her. The steaks are so delicious every single time, and although we have tried a few other good menu items, the steaks are just top notch. We love dining here and will continue to do so. Truly the best.

Very good rib eye, the best of the grill

What a perfect evening. We celebrated our company Christmas here a few weekends ago and our server was a treasure. As this was my first time planning an event, he helped me sort out the details on the night, Virginia was my contact via email. It was a hockey night, which was on the TV but it was ok background noise.. the food has been talked about for days. many enjoyed the steak, which you could have cut with a butter knife, it was so tender.. As a celiac, I am always hesitant to try new places but Vintage did not dissapoint. They informed me of all I could have and pretty much everything on our rearranged meal was gluten free. I also must mention the LIVE jazz band that was playing, which really added to the ambiance and festive feel. Vegetarian options: Yes, we had 2 vegetarians and they both were pleased with their options. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free was accommodated.

Go there all the time. Australian Wagyu is the only halal cut which is one of the most expensive steak on the menu. I hope they can offer more halal cuts.

We were never asked once how anything we ordered was. It was all mediocre. Service was ok. Food was just ok. For the price I would definitely go to Hy s or Caesar s. Way better service.

Went here for my birthday, excellent food, service and drinks

Came here to celebrate a birthday from out of town, was recommended by a tour guide to try this steakhouse. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing (steak was very chewy and sides were small) and was quite pricey. Would not recommend!

Was walking by and decided to try it for happy hour and dinner. When we got seated and inquired about happy hour they said that happy hour had ended at 5,. However the sandwich board outside clearly said 6. The server was really polite and said she said she talked to the manager and confirmed this was the case. We also showed on Google where it said 6. They did not try to make it better and so we paid our bill and headed off to another restaurant on 1st. With all the great restaurants in this area, service is so important. I would recommend finding someplace else. Hopefully the manager will learn from this review.

I was really excited to try out Vintage, but found myself quite disappointed. The food was pretty mediocre and was not as delicious as i was expecting.

Great food and service

Been to the Vintage many many times and it never disappoints. Starting off with some fantastic and friendly service, to super delicious food and great liquor and wine collection and of course the perfect lighting for a classy steakhouse. Highly recommend for anyone visiting town and highly surprised if youre in town and havent been to the Vintage yet.

It saddens me to write this because Vintage used to be my favourite steakhouse and one of my most recommended Calgary restaurants, but my recent visit was a huge disappointment. Our rib eye steaks were to be cooked medium-rare but came out very rare. The fat hadnt rendered and the steak was chewy and unappetizing. We tried to get through them but finally had to send them back and ask for them to be cooked more. So disappointing that a premium steakhouse cannot cook your steak the way its asked. On top of the that, the customer service was lacking. Our group was celebrating a birthday and there was no offer of a dessert for that person. Every restaurant I have been to always brings out a little something for the person celebrating. In fact, I recently went to Hys for an anniversary and was given a complimentary sorbet. Unfortunately I think this will be the last time I visit Vintage.

We were in Calgary for 2 days and this is a MUST !! If you want to experience fine dining at its best and yet have a down home feeling with relaxed and friendly staff . This is the place!!! Owen is an excellent mgr. Alanna was our delightful server

We had a wonderful dinner at Vintage. A quintessential steakhouse with dark wood decor and comfortable booths. Our server, Fréderique, was fantastique! He tempted us with the meat board showcasing the cuts offered. Following a tasty appetizer of East Coast oysters, our main course arrived - the dry aged steak was creamy and nutty flavored, my favorite was the crispy brussel sprouts. Throughout the meal, Freddy kept our glasses filled with delicious cocktails. We ended by sharing a creme brûlée and some port wine. All in all, the meal was top notch. We fully enjoyed our experience and will come back the next time we are in Calgary.

Absolute first rate service... Attentive but fun and casual at the same time. Great jazz trio! But, on the set break, way louder music that was coming from what sounded like a big Bluetooth speaker from Costco... That made conversation much harder. The food was all very good. At its price point, it is kind of stuck. If prices were lower, then it would be a great value and an excellent meal! (Six dollar side of peppercorn sauce/gravy with an already 60ish dollar steak) Overall glad we went.

Traveled to Calgary from Toronto with my boyfriend and we were looking to try a good steakhouse. Stumbled upon this gem and were pleasantly satisfied.

Best steakhouse of my life. Coming from Nova Scotia, I wanted Alberta Beef. Got the prime rib and fingerlings and Mac and cheese. The steak was the best I ever had and looking at the picture makes my mouth water. Excellent Job. Looking at receipt looks like I was charged for my side. But worth it

I got an uneasy feeling after my visit. Looks like everythings good from one side and from other side everythings not. Lets get started. 1. atmosphere- if you like a dark place, this is for you. I think its pretty dark - its hard to read the menu if you have poor eyesight. 2. service - well for such prices - I would like more attention. Starting from serving and ending with water refilling. 3. food - the price tag is above average. I did not understand the format of tunas and a lot of sour - a lot of capers and olives, which strongly interferes with the taste of fish 4. side dish-took carrots. Didnt like it at all. Simple but expensive. 5. No kids menu - even small options will be advantage. Not many kids can eat 3 big scoops of ice cream! Overall-not for next visit.

First time we ve ever visited Vintage Chophouse, and it was exceptional. Frederic was our server and he went above and beyond! He was super friendly and even brought out a board with the different cuts of meat and explained the differences between them! I must say, Frederic was the best server we ve experienced in a long time, he was very proficient in checking in with us, and always had a smile on his face. The food quality was amazing, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were also great! Thank you to the vintage chophouse team, you made our anniversary something to remember! This experience impressed, no doubt! We had initially gone to a different restaurant earlier that same night that used to be our go to for special occasions but they completed disappointed us. We only had an appetizer and left hungry, still wanting to properly celebrate a promotion and a new job for us. It was a big deal to celebrate this so we decided to give Vintage a try since we had a gift card to use up. To say they saved the night would almost be an understatement. It is quite expensive so that saves it as a special occasion only place for us but my boyfriend says all he wants for his birthday is to come here and we will 100% be back. Best steak of my life was his exact words. The price point is not unfair for the experience and portions in my opinion. We started with a few oysters and then for main course I had the lamb rack with brussels sprout side and my boyfriend got the 14 oz prime ribeye with scalloped potato side. Everything impressed and we both were very satisfied! Our server (I believe her name was Megan) was fantastic and showed up at the exact time we needed her every time. We even got to listen to the live jazz band throughout our night which added to the experience. It is dark and moody inside but comfortable and loud but not to the point you cant hear each other, there is a live band after all. We now have a new go to place to celebrate special occasions and have a meal and experience that is guaranteed to impress. Thank you Vintage! Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and the server was fantastic about checking and letting me know what I could eat. She even took initiative to let me know that my boyfriends meal was also gluten free so we could share if we wished to. Very impressed and I felt 100% comfortable and confident in her checking for me Parking: Free street parking since we came after 6pm, found a spot close to the front doors of the restaurant.

Delicious food and an amazing atmosphere! My husband and I came for our anniversary and were welcomed in with such kindness and enthusiasm! Our waiter was amazing and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The live jazz was beautiful and set the perfect mood! Some of the best steak we ve ever had, definitely coming back soon!

The steak is the highlight of the restaurant. They have a cool board with samples. You can visually select what you want.

Amazing food and great service

First time trying this place and absolutely loved it! The meat was definitely worth the price for a nice quality dinner. Melt in the mouth prime Rib. We ordered the ceasers to drink they were 20$ for 2oz- definitely different type of ceasers could be better but everything else was absolutely delicious!! Would recommend for a high quality dinner- negative was we couldn t find parking around, and it was about 10$ to park.

We dined at Vintage Chophouse & Tavern on a Sunday night around 6:30 PM. Although we booked a reservation, it turned out to be unnecessary. We were seated in the lounge area on nice, comfy sofas, and the three of us were able to sit around a round table comfortably. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, frequently checking up on us to ensure everything was perfect. We started with some delightful cocktails I had a delicious apple cinnamon drink and a nice Merlot wine. The appetizer we ordered was a duck dish on pastry with cranberries, and it was absolutely delicious. I m still dreaming about it. For our main course, my fiancé and I shared a medium-rare porterhouse steak, while my cousin opted for the prime rib, which looked equally fantastic. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, and I would definitely order the same again on a return visit. The sides were just as impressive. The Brussels sprouts were sweet and deep-fried, and absolutely to die for. We also had broccolini and macaroni and cheese with lobster, both of which were delicious. The ambiance was that of a classic steakhouse, with dim lighting and a dark color palette, making for a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Overall, we had a great time the food was filling, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant if you re looking for a great steak downtown.

The service and atmosphere was really nice! Love how they present the cuts of meat. However the meat itself was basically inedible. It was so. salty. Oh my god, the salt. I sent it back and was given a less salty steak, but it wasnt really warm. Probably just an off day based on the glowing reviews here but damn, thats a lot of money for a giant brick of salt. The mashed potatoes were also drowned in salt and tasted like a TV dinner

West coast mussel & fries didnt have fresh mussels, they smelled like ammonia. I ordered two 12oz Canadian prime tenderloins in medium rare, but they were overcooked and the meat was tough. Food

.I went there last Sunday, the atmosphere here is perfect. The service is generally a little cold. I ordered a 18oz steak but its too many fat on the side and it looks not like 18 oz and the steak is dry. I tried many stores and vintage make me feel a little disappointed. Crab meat cake is so salty and I told Our server he just ignore my comment regarding to the food. In order to show our respect, We accepted these and give enough tips, but we would come back. There are many steak store better than this just Dont waste your money.

Vintage is one of the most high end dining places in Calgary, but it is worth every penny. The Wagyu steak in particular is mouth watering and so is everything else on the menu. I have come to Vintage on several occasion with my colleagues at work for birthday celebrations and such and it is an over the top experience every time. One of my favourite appetizers is the beef tartare which I would highly recommend, along with the beef tenderloin. They also have an amazing selection of wine and the service is absolutely impeccable. I would recommend this to for any special occasion and believe me you will not be disappointed!

First time Vintage diner. What a great place. Recommended by many, exceeded expectations. Our server, Dean, was outstanding. Oyster app was good , wine selection outstanding (chose a McLaren Vale Shiraz), steak and Cod mains, fingerling potatoes were outstanding and pecan pie was over the top. Great dinner. My husband and I had a lovely evening at Chophouse the steaks were cooked to perfection I would highly recommend going back when we are in Calgary.

Vintage has been our go-to for a special evening out for 17 years now. From the food, to the service, to the great decor and vibe, Vintage has been our first choice for a great night out. To my complete dismay and frustration, Vintage has elected to no longer maintain its adult only clientele. This past Friday we listened to a 2 year old whine, fuss, stand on its seat and cry at full volume over the period of 90 minutes. Although I put this allowed behaviour squarely on the shoulders of the parents (who did SFA), by lowering your age eligibility you have opened yourself up to this criticism. To brand yourself as one of the top Steak Houses in Calgary, with pricing to match; and then to allow babies and toddlers into your restaurant is a not a match for your ideal client. Unless your ideal client is now for families with little kids. I am not anti-children to be clear. I have three. When I spoke to my server about it, he was completely aware of the issue, and said it is a policy that was changed during Covid. I was aware that the age limit had been relaxed at this time, however it is now 2024, and you will drive away the very clientele you are wanting to attract if this remains in place. How about no clientele below 12 years old even? I think there is a compromise, however allowing babies and toddlers into your restaurant creates an experience that is frankly unenjoyable (for the price point). It completely disrupts the wonderful ambience that Vintage has long been known for. Regrettably, for our next evening out as a couple, I will likely look elsewhere. P.S. the food was wonderful, however your new dessert menu is underwhelming and missing classics that Vintage has long been known for.

Refused service due to my attire. Must be a dress code only button down shirt trousers business shoes and a Rolex are allowed for men. I am from out of town and was here on business casual dress is what I m comfortable wearing. I had a black Amex in my pocket as well as 2700 in cash on me which I showed the staff before I walked out. You lose I just walked over to the Guild and paid my 1200 bill after great service.

Great steak! Just cooked to perfection at medium rare with a nicely cooked outside. The sides were also excellent - mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts awesome, carrots yes, fries no big deal but good. The service is top notch professional. The atmosphere is nice but interior seems dated.

Tasty food, friendly and helpful staff who take time to go over their steak options in detail- overall, great experience with extensive wine selection! Just one thing, the low lighting made me feel super sleepy while there, so it took away from my level of attention while I was having the meal.

The Steak was really good! The wine selection made me happy. Steak with Horseraddish was just A1 Services was really good, people was so nice and kind, If I had came to that restaurant alone, I would have felt appreciated and seeing.

Over all the experience didnt meet expectations. The service was good but a little slow. We ordered the biggest steak at $155 bucks and it was under whelming. The sides were not the best the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box and the broccoli taste burnt . We had to put everything in my wifes chicken sauce to taste better . I was disappointed in the food quality and prepare. For the very expensive price . I wont be going back. It was also very dark and drab not lively or fun. It felt like the experience was a work meeting .

What a special night for me and my family. Celebrating a special achievement in my family there that night was made even more special by Steve. There is a person who knows his stuff and enjoys what he does. Food was amazing as always.

Great steakhouse with top notch service and tasty food. Lots of options to choose from on the menu, both steak and non-steak. Steak was cooked perfectly and our sides (mushrooms and broccolini) were all very yummy.

Nice old school steakhouse. Ribeye should have been charred. I suppose you need to specify here to get this. Many upscale steakhouses do this automatically. High quality cuts of beef. Shrimp cocktail and wedge salad were fine. Nothing remarkable. Great service by Craig. I have been spoiled by some of the best steakhouse eateries in North America. Vintage Chophouse is good however does not distinguish itself as being the ultimate in refinement. When you pay $200+ for your dinner, you expect more. It is way better than Cesars in the same city. Similar to Hys.

We celebrated my husband s birthday at Vintage and can not say how much we appreciate the amazing service from the hostess to the waitress to even the manager. Great steak, would recommend for a treat.

Service was good however the steak was only warm when it came to the table. We did not send it back. A side was to be included with the steak and we ordered a second side. When the bill came we were charged $14 for a side which should have been included. When questioned the server credited us $6 and could not explain why. Instead of raising a ruckus we just left. Not sure we will be back. Potatoes and brochichini (ph) we overly salty.

We had Chris serve us on Friday May 17, 2024. We just got off a 4.5 hour flight from Toronto to Calgary and had reservations at Vintage and mouths watering over the menu for months. Were repeat guests and each time its always a great meal. Ordered tenderloin and ribeye with some upgrades to the sides. Celebrated 5 year wedding anniversay. They gave a very nice hand written card and some complimentary bubbly which was a nice touch. Food came in very quickly around 15-20 mins. Cherished the meal right before our late night drive to Banff.

Excellent. Great place to eat a good steak. Appreciated the waiter showing us all the different cuts on a plank. Wouldve tried the Wagyu but I didnt want to remortgage my house.

The Cowboy bone-in prime rib 34 ounce was probably one of the best steaks I ve ever had, and that s saying something. Cut for sharing between three of us, it wasn t even overly expensive, and it was certainly a big enough meal when combined with apps and sides. It didn t even really need the bone marrow butter we added - but it didn t hurt. Dean the beverage manager really knows his stuff too.

Yesterday evening, I celebrated my birthday dinner at this establishment with some close friends. I was in search of a venue offering excellent food, impeccable service, and a soothing atmosphere, and Vintage exceeded all my expectations! The atmosphere exudes charm, and the staff were incredibly kind! The service was unparalleled! They went above and beyond to ensure each meal was cooked perfectly, even offering a fresh side dish upon hearing my comment about the sour cream being too much for me due to my lactose intolerance. Additionally, my steak was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and juiciness. Our server graciously accommodated our lively table conversations, bringing out a meat board to showcase the cuts and answer our questions. No glass was ever left empty, and as a delightful surprise, they treated me to dessert and sparklers, and shots! What a sweet birthday gesture. The way they presented our dishes and tidied our table made me feel like royalty. I highly recommend this venue for a memorable evening; it truly exceeded all expectations. I eagerly anticipate my next visit! P.S. Dont miss out on the Brussels sprouts, and if youre a fan of gelato, try the salted caramel and dark chocolate flavors! This Calgary classic didnt disappoint. Their cocktails are on point, the salads were a work of delicious art and the bone in prime rib steak we shared was perfect. Roasted mushrooms as a side along with the carmelized onions left no room for dessert. Until next time...

Food was amazing, service was great- loved our server! Atmosphere is cozier on the bar side. Still has the vibe of somewhere your parents would go for anniversary dinner! Accommodated gluten-free and dairy-free allergies! I suggest asking for the meat platter to explain the different cuts! It was expensive for two people. A nice night out! We havent had a better experience than Vintage Chophouse in the past few years. Amazing food, absolutely amazing service by Chris and great prices. My wife and I went for her birthday dinner and couldnt be happier. She had the Atlantic Cod and I had the Sirloin, both were absolutely amazing. We were treated to a desert for her birthday which was a delicious creme broulee. She is a Red Seal Chef and the definition of foodie so to have her not have one critique is a feat in and of itself.

Dietary restrictions: Its very difficult to have a well-done steak because my daughter is pregnant. It took 4 times before I got my steak to my liking. She ate 1h15 after everyone else. Damage

Excellent steaks and service. Very traditional steakhouse interior - wood paneling and leather . Expensive, but cheaper than comparable stakehouses in the US.

We went to Vintage last evening with high expectation. We ended up being somewhat disappointed. For an appetizer we ordered the West Coast mussels, and they were bad! When they arrived at the table we had an instant smell of septic or fresh from the barn. How does something like that get out of the kitchen? Lots of the mussel werent open which should have been the first sign. They did take them away and agreed they smelt bad. We did enjoy the steak and Lamb chops, however the classic sides seem somewhat outdated. I eat out downtown every day and this was just disappointing. The wine list is very extensive which was nice.

Dined in for dinner on Valentine s Day weekend with my gf and was pleasantly surprised with the service and deliciousness of the food - I had never been here before. Our server, Constantine, was great and began our dinner by showing us the cuts of steak available at the restaurant. We were served dinner bread and oysters for our appetizer, which were both great. As for our dinner, we order the 24oz Canadian Prime Bone-In New York steak and the Roasted Forest Mushrooms + the Twice Fried Fingerling Potatoes, Bacon Chive Sour Cream as our sides. All of these were amazingly delicious. Coincidentally, it was my first time trying a medium-rare steak and I enjoyed it very much. The rest of the staff that we were serviced by were also very kind and welcoming. Will definitely be returning in the future.

This is one of the fancier restaurants that I have visited, and it certainly met my expectations. Vintage is the kind of restaurant you reserve for special occasions that happen once in while, maybe like a date or a birthday. The prices are pretty high so definitely not casual dining! The service I received wasn t amazing, but it was great nonetheless. It met my expectations in where it matters but nothing excellent struck me as exceeding those standards. Though, I really enjoyed how they showed us the cuts and explained how each one is best enjoyed in their restaurant. Atmosphere was great, it had a mix of fancy and party vibes with its music and lighting. I do wish however that the washrooms were abit cleaner.. Finally the food, I think that everything I ordered was amazing. The ribeye steak had a nice crust, was tender, juicy, and cooked medium rare just as I asked for, and the bone marrow butter just elevates the flavours with a touch of its own! The lobster add on was also great, I do wish the butter had a little more salt to it but it was still good otherwise. Overall, Vintage is pretty expensive, but I will have to recommend visiting at least once if you are in Calgary and try their steaks. Just be prepared to spend a lot, the food quality and portions I would say fit the price. But you can be the judge of that once you sit at one of their tables. I know for sure I will eat here sometime again in the future, and maybe even try out their Wagyu cuts!

Great place for dinner.

Vintage is on my list of top steakhouses in Calgary. I have been many times not only with my wife and friends, but also for business functions. Clients that I have taken here absolutely love it, and leave with a lasting impression. The culinary quality and attention to detail is second to none. The scallops is always a must for me as far as appetizers go, and they make some of the best old fashioned cocktails in town. You cant go wrong with any of their steaks, and the chef always recommends the best way to enjoy them based on cut, age, and marbling. If you are new to town and want to see a true Calgary gem, look no further.

Best steak and Amazing Service

Vintage Chophouse and Tavern in downtown Calgary is an excellent choice for Canada Prime Alberta Beef selections. The presentation of steak brightens the otherwise low light atmosphere here. I had the 14 oz. Ribeye with Brandy Shallot Peppercorn Sauce, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Roasted Forest Mushrooms, and Fingerling Potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and a fine Italian red wine paired well. Service was perfect. Highly recommended.

A little on the pricey side, but the food was good. The server had to go around the far end of the bar to get to me, so it took a while to get the check. The tables have comfy chairs, so you sit a bit lower and further back from the table than is usual for food service. Makes it slightly awkward. It was a pleasant atmosphere otherwise.

Looks neat inside!

Went in for a celebratory dinner this past weekend and was a little disappointed in the quality of the steak. My friends and I all ordered the ribeye, but mine was a much worse cut than theirs. There was a lot of unrendered fat I had to cut out right from the center of the steak, which was disappointing considering the price and after comparing to what my friends received having ordered the same thing. Overall it was an ok experience, but I am unlikely to return as the quality of the food did not match the price.

The best stake I had in my life and I ve had a few around the globe. When the mear is so tasty you don t need any side dish. That s when you know it s heavenly made. Totally recommend!

3.5/5 Great steak but very salty. Steak tartare was very salty. The chips and salad that came with it were also salty. Steak was also very salty. It s difficult to make a thick steak salty but it was. We gave the feedback to the server but nothing was done. We got a wrong dish and the delivery server was unhelpful and not nice. The meat itself is great quality but service and seasoning need improvement.

Fantastic steakhouse. Service is superb and the food was very good. We came for happy hour and the value during this period is very good.

Frederic gave great service. Free bread and butter was top notch. Mac and cheese is a must, crab cakes and Oscar as well. Same with the fingerling potatoes. Skip the corn and Cesar salad. Good ambience, too loud of music with a weird playlist vibe. EDM straight into irrelevant oldies.

Service was good. Food was mediocre at best. Lacking flavour and $6 peppercorn sauce was sweet and not even peppery. The cherry on top was the $10 for 2 small glasses of still water LOL.

I expected a lot more from a highly rated steak house in Calgary. Came for lunch. The service was ok, but nothing of note. The steak was cooked below requested temp. I don t mind rare, but when the steak is nearly $100, I expect accuracy. Overall, it was an acceptable experience, but for the brand and cost, I expected a lot better.

Had a staff function here in their semi-private area. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked steaks and tender salmon for a group of 20 people. The service was attentive without being annoying, and they were happy to pace the meal according to the various needs of the evening. A cozy, intimate feeling atmosphere, wished we could have lowered the music levels a bit but otherwise was great. Dietary restrictions: Had two celiacs in the group and they were provided with appropriate alternatives throughout the meal.

The ribeye quality is good, I can taste that it is dry aged prime steak, but its thinner than normal, dont think it has enough 14oz, also its over cooked than medium rare, the shell is a bit bitter. The sauce is a disaster I ordered. Other than that, other foods are pretty good, especially the seafood platter, recommended to get.

I stopped by Vintage a few times over the years. The ambience and service have been good. I like the way they present the board with all the cuts to the table. The must try item here is their Canada Prime Bone-in Ribeye. It s almost on the same level as Kobe beef (from a fine dining restaurant in Japan). The only thing is that the steak can feel quite fatty when you re ¾ through...so the vinegary mushroom side definitely compliments this steak. In terms of other food, their complimentary bread and butter is quite nice. Their crab cakes and desserts is similar to other fine dining places Overall, I d give them 9.5/10

I had the east coast oysters, crab cakes and prawn cocktail as appetizers. They were all amazing. The tenderloin steak was delicious, I asked for light butter when cooking it and they were able to accomodate well. I tried the broccolini and brussel sprouts as sides. The brussel sprouts are quite sweet but delicious. Afagato for dessert with vanilla gelato was the perfect way to end the meal. Not quite my favourite steakhouse in the city but will now be on my top 3 list. Would recommend giving it a try.

Perfect atmosphere, absolutely amazing food and unbelievable service.

Went here for a Christmas dinner, it was absolutely phenomenal!! The food was superb and they show you all the different cuts of steak. The service was superb and with quite a range for pricing for food and drinks, they always made sure you were treated with the most excellent service no matter what your budget is and what you ordered and your knowledge of items were. Very good, highly recommend!!! The only negative comment I have (why there is 4 stars for atmosphere) was that the music was really loud and one table was really loud as if they were in a pub watching the game kind of loud but both can be navigated and in the end not a deal breaker for the restaurant in my opinion.

Lovely establishment with the right level of ambiance. Lots of steak variety on the menu and the wine list is extensive. Our waiter knew we were celebrating and generously offered each of us a complimentary glass of bubbly when we were seated. He was also very attentive and friendly the entire evening. The food was top quality, delicious and on point. Our prime ribs were a perfect medium and the key lime pie was one the best weve ever had!

This place is amazing, the management was fantastic, and their customer service was really above and beyond.

Sat at the bar and was treated like garbage. Apparently I wasn t dressed like I had money. Bartenders upset that I didn t order food. When I had a beer and asked for the bill bartender wasn t happy. Bill came to 12 dollars. Left 15 cash. Apparently that was not good enough. Emailed manager. Could have offered me 25 dollars to come back but offered nothing. Super disappointed

Wow! This was an amazing experience. Our server was amazing: responsive, respectful, and highly knowledgeable. The food... Ive never had food like this before. The striploin melted in my mouth. The sides were done perfectly. Id do it again in a heartbeat (if I could afford to). Kid-friendliness: I suggest finding a sitter and bringing the kids once they could fully appreciate it.

It tastes great! The waiter will bring the raw steak directly to the table Our waiters are very professional and their service is considerate. My personal favorite is the 45-day aged steak. The beef tastes very fragrant and the medium rare is just right. If I come to Calgary next time, I will choose this steak tube again.

Disappointed in the service and food quality on NYE wouldve been way cheaper and better food at the keg. For the cost of the meal I expect way better in terms of food and disappearing servers. $411 for 2 people that is 2 drinks each, 2 appetizer (duck Tart was super greasy and underbaked), 2 entrees (overcooked steak) and 18% tip. Outrageous. I was excited to bring my partner because it used to be so good and hed never been... Not anymore. New chef the server said. The beef tartare was good but a little grey sat there awhile obviously. Used to have live music and now its obnoxiously loud satellite radio. Just not worth it overall have a better experience for that money at chairmans or longview.

Highly recommended when for one of the best steak houses around. Quality is the name of the game at Vintage. You will never dine at Vintage and experience anything less than the highest quality service, food and atmosphere. Care is taken with each dish and the servers are as professional as they come. I recommend going for lunch - you get the same quality experience but without quite the same price as a dinner. The dinners are still great value and will never disappoint.

The restaurant was very good, food was delicious but over priced for quality and portion sizes. The alchol prices were obscene. The restaurant atmosphere was nice but a little dark though. I was there between Christmas and New Years so it wasnt busy at all and it was my birthday so i had a group.of friends with me and the table beside me was placed right beside us even though the whole restaurant was empty and they were really loud so it really affected like evening we could barely hear each each other speak and it was like being in a nightclub except there was no reason for it cuz the restaurant was empty other than that it was a nice place and the food was very good however again I just didnt feel like the price represented the quality or portion sizes

My wife and I decided to use a gift card we had received for the Vintage. We had never been before and went during happy hour last afternoon (Friday) We found the atmosphere relaxing and the ambiance perfect for a mid day leave the world behind experience . If there is any criticism of the room itself it is that the music could have been a slightly lower volume the music itself fit the mood. The food was fantastic, portions a generous size (the truffle fries are a must try) and the drinks not only tasty but beautifully garnished Another outstanding piece for us was our waiter. He was attentive without being overbearing, friendly in a professional manner and well dressed. In this day and age of relaxed (almost slovenly) dressed staff it was refreshing to be served by someone who paid attention to how appearances matter This was our first time but certainly not our last

Used to be my favorite steak place in Calgary but went there yesterday and it was horrible. Overcooked and waaaay too salty

From the outside Vintage Chophouse looked like a run-of-the-mill restaurant. But the food, service, and atmosphere was just wonderful. Yummers

Very very tasty, excellent food And I like the place general.

Great happy hour, filled with business people discussing business things in loud voices (my inner eavesdropper is in heaven here). We had a tray of oysters, some steak kabobs and the blue chips with spicy dill pickle dip and a boulevardier. Everything was perfect. Nice dim, wood-filled lounge and with the window blinds closed you don t notice that you re on a busy street during rush hour.

Old fashioned steak house with plenty of charm. From the waiters in white jackets like Peter Lugers to the warm ambiance the decor provides. Simple menu with meat! Top off your choice cut with a bone marrow butter and pair it with a classy cocktail.

Awesome experience at Vintage. Good 24oz bone in new york strip, a little char but perfect medium rare. They had a special A5 wagyu steak but they left the fat cap on the end that was not cut off or rendered so a little disappointed on that. Great wine selection. All the sides were delicious.
