Take a punt at Bill’s next time you’re in Cambridge. It’s one of our most tucked away, historic restaurants and we think you’ll agree it’s pretty special. Whether you’re a gown-wearing student or a coat-wearing visitor, we’ve got a table for you.
The food here is quite yummy.. Bill’s has great cocktails & a great vibe. They are often busy, so a reservation is recommended esp on weekends. Also - service can sometimes be a bit slow but the staff is always so kind.
My friends and I were looking for a brunch spot and while walking around the city centre, we saw the queue in front of Bill’s and said we have to give this place a try. Best decision of the day! Bill’s is a very charming, spacious, cozy space with a lot of options on the menu. We did not wait long to be seated. Luckily, the brunch menu was available until 5pm which gave us plenty of time to order different dishes. I ordered the full English breakfast, which came in this very large portion of eggs, meat, baked beans, toast and butter, and breakfast potatoes. The meal was quite delicious and it came extra fast. The fresh orange juice was really good as well. My friends had high praises for the Christmas morning pancakes, Bill’s coffee and cocktails. The prices are appropriate given the size of the portions. The waitresses are nice and attentive. They gave us really good recommendations. I appreciated that they had thematic dishes on the menu, circling around Christmas. We would have to come back again to try the rest of the menu. Overall, high praises and a recommended visit!
Very disappointed with our experience at Bill’s Cambridge. The English breakfast arrived cold and was nearly inedible—eggs were lukewarm, and the bacon was tough and rubbery. On top of that, we were kept waiting an inordinately long time for donuts, which only added to the frustration. The service felt corporate and mechanical, lacking any warmth or personal touch. For a place that usually has a great reputation, this visit fell far below expectations. A little more attentiveness and care would go a long way. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this location based on this experience.
I had a lovely experience at Bill’s Restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and they had fantastic options for the kids too. The Full English breakfast was hearty and satisfying—although I wouldn’t have minded an extra sausage and bacon for good measure. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing meal with family. Looking forward to visiting again!
We really enjoyed the food and it was amazing. The restaurant has this amazing vibe with the best service, thanks to Ellie. I really enjoyed my burger.
Great food, ambience and service! Didn't have to wait long to be seated. Food was quite delicious, had the Chargrilled chicken and calamari.
Thought I’d treat my boys to breakfast yesterday. Food was good, just expensive but hey, it’s a treat. The lady who took payment at the end, seemed to not have the Friday feeling unfortunately, couldn’t muster a smile. Otherwise the other staff were lovely and welcoming. Apple / orange juice was something like £3.95 a glass which was insane. Coffee was probably one of the nicest coffees I’ve had in a long time, and I would come back for that alone.
A lovely restaurant in the heart of Cambridge! I had the vegan shawarma and it was delicious and tender 😋. They also have a good selection of healthy juices and smoothies, perfect for a hot day. I'll definitely visit again!
Relatively poor experience. The waiter that served us was great however she was really let down by the team. Our mains came first before the starter and the childrens food. The mains were burnt so they were sent back. The mains were redone but one of them was still burnt so it had to be resent back for the second time... They told us that due to the experience something will be deducted from the bill but it wasnt, so we had to reduce the service charge. Hope service, especially kitchen improves...
One of the best restaurants in Cambridge, Top customer service, friendly staff, highly recommended. Food
We had our Xmas meal last night. The guy at the door who showed us to our table was not very welcoming and reminded us that we only had two hours and we had to leave by 8.30.! The 2 hours wasn t the problem, it was the manner in which he told us. Not the best welcome I ve ever had I must admit. Our waitress was fantastic though and can t rate her highly enough. The food was average , the sprouts were so hard they were inedible, I couldn t even cut them. Such a shame as I ve eaten there on numerous occasions and always enjoyed it but we will choose another venue next time.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was mostly excellent. Thought the steak was over priced. Had a Bills flowerpot cheesecake which was not good - hardly any cheesecake and a lot of very dry soil.
Having lived in Cambridge for 23 years, this restaurant is easily the best I ve been to. The quality of the food is amazing and every single time I go I feel welcomed and looked after by the staff. The price is very affordable and they even offer a 20% nhs discount which is hard to find! I couldn t recommend this resteraunt more! It s perfect for any occasion big or small, for any time breakfast lunch or dinner!
Whilst we enjoyed our food and the service was good I really do despise Bills questionable method of obtaining a service charge from their customers. The bill can be downloaded and paid whilst at ones table - great, BUT the OPTIONAL service charge is already added to the bill and customers are requested to speak to a member of staff if they wish it to be removed from the bill. Come on Bills - that is rather underhand, you know damn well that most people will be rather embarrassed to request the service charge to be removed, whether they are unhappy with the 12.5% rate of added charge or have received poor service and wish to not leave any service charge. Instead, an amount decided by the customer should be added if they wish to. Sorry, but your money grabbing tactics mean we wont be returning.
Have been for breakfast multiple times, great eatery!
Food was lovely . Staff super friendly. Really lovely experience Glad we booked as it was busy for Friday lunchtime. Nice to find a restaurant left in Cambridge that isnt a burger bar.
Food is interesting theres an extra twist to it all the chips where very good but the burger could be thought out better the whiskey capsules great idea and with an burger great but didnt go very well with the sauce in the bap the flavours was thrown way off.
Great food and ambience but slow service. 23 year old son got refused alcohol because he didnt have id when the law says you can drink it it at the age of 16 in a restaurant. Ridiculous given that I ordered some and could easily have given it to him. Be aware that a 12.5% service charge gets added and its too difficult to ask for it to be removed. Disappointing!
Food was cold, wasnt approached by staff after we were served to see if everything was ok. The kitchen is upstairs with the door open next to the toilets, Im not a food hygiene expert but that doesnt seem right to me. First and last visit.
Lunch at Bills, Cambridge. Very efficient service and the food was of a very good standard.
Had lunch here! Really liked it and will definitely return when Im next here!. Busy, popular and very well run. I liked the vibe and clientele too. Recommended!
We specifically booked this restaurant as it advertises on its website Vegan options! There is 1 main course for vegans - a burger which was undercooked for both myself & my partner, served medium warm. There is also 1 dessert choice for vegans. So we wouldn t recommend.
lack of service, staff forgot an order of drinks and after 20 mins had to go find a staff member to ask where they were, informed that they forgot. At no point did anyone come to check if everything was okay with our food also, to top it off they add a nice 12.5% service charge for literally no service at all!!!
Nice
Very slow lunch service with uninspiring food.
We are regular customers who eat here whenever we come to Cambridge. This time, unusually, there was an issue with our meals and the manager was amazing! Exceptional customer service skills and everything was resolved quickly and to our absolute satisfaction - what an asset he is to the company - thank you! We will back!
Overpriced and long wait time. We went as a big group and had reserved our seats. Portion sizes were tiny and main was so bad cancelled my dessert. Total price still came out as £26 just for a starter and tiny main that didn t even taste good. Also waited nearly 2hours for the food to arrive despite ordering days in advance. Would not recommend and never again.
Had never been in a Bills before but the menu was really good. Seated promptly, food tasty and fresh. A good price too will use again
Bills is great. No fuss, well serviced restaurant with food choices for everyone in a relaxed atmosphere and easy on the pocket.
Great meal today. Had the brunch breakfast and it didnt disappoint. Would recommend booking. 10 out of 10.
Went with a large group for a friends birthday. I understand that its difficult for staff to tend to a large group but they did well. Food : 3/5
Typical English place with its mixed dishes, good beers and little wine selection. The atmosphere and decoration is very pleasant. The tables are comfortable and sufficiently separated from each other so that they do not get in the way since the place is usually quite full. We went for brunch and almost all of us chose the English breakfast consisting of fried eggs, English style, sausages, bacon, potatoes, the typical beans in tomato sauce and some salad. There were those who chose the vegetarian dish which I think was better. As I said, a recommendable place without exaggerations, good service, somewhat less than decent cuisine in a good atmosphere. It is better to book especially on weekends since being in the heart of Cambridge, it is usually in high demand. Only briefly recommended.
Loved it here
This place has some stunning food options, we went for an early breakfast which was to die for! Honestly such a fresh idea, chilli flakes and avocado (yum!). Then the pancakes which are so fluffy which is a great contrast to the crispy bacon. We cannot wait to come back again! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options which are great.
Can t believe the hygiene of this place. Chairs and table looked scary. We had to leave. Visited Bills in Wimbledon and Richmond, it was nice. This one is something I strongly recommend avoiding.
Great place to relax , eat and chat. Not rushed, staff lovely and not overly attentive. We walked round the city looking for somewhere new to eat and boomeranged back to Bills ! Thanks guys again for a lovely meal. They also offer a blue light discount
Its a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. I got the fish pie, was really good, Id get it again. I did get the wrong table bill though.
Great food & service with a quirky vibe! Woukd definitely recommend
Helpful staff although a bit slow in taking orders. Food fine.
Excellent food at a very reasonable price for central Cambridge. Also have a gluten free menu, which meant my Uncle was able to choose what he wanted, father than settle for whatever he could eat. Really lovely, knowledgeable staff and service. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly
Great place ;) If you can add a little bit of fresh air, maybe ? Food
Food was pretty decent but not the best over cooked and cold calamari chorizo with honey is good but served with incredibly dry bread and our chicken was over cooked but edible . Service was incredibly slow told who our waitress was and she appeared half hour later , waited 20 minutes for a bottled beer , no check backs until the meal was finished the service wasn t friendly or personal . It wasn t to the standard hospitality holds in the slightest . Not what it s made out to be was disappointing overall
Never been here before so a new experience for me. Tempted in by the offer of free Lady Petrol (prosecco) for my partners birthday. Early afternoon, so not too busy. I just had a house burger with dirty fries and amazing ceasar dressing. She had something chickeny with things on it. Stuffed our faces with coffee and doughnuts. Staff were amazingly pleasant and efficient, so well done for that. Minor overcharge on the bill, quickly resolved and well be back in the future Im sure.
Super cozy and colorful place. Good food, not least the fish pie
Bills always has good and various breakfast and dinner options and food is delicious. Service is usually quick as well.
A great lunch with my friend who was visiting from devon . Service was great . Our only complaint was that the fries werent very hot. We did tell the waitress but no solution was offered , however that didnt overly detract from our overall experince . Food
Very busy and buzzy when we arrived at 12.45pm on a Saturday for our pre booked table of three. We were shown to our table quite quickly , and then was served by waitress Jess. She was excellent. Polite, speedy and efficient. This is a great atmosphere restaurant but it s busy so pre booking highly recommended. Good place. 5/5
I ordered a breakfast burger which was about 1 degree above stone cold. There was a fan directly above our table blowing cold air onto us, we asked two members of staff if they would turn it off and they said that they would, but it didnt happen. I went to the Bury St Edmunds restaurant about three years ago and that was also very disappointing. Obviously things havent improved. I wont be going again. The staff are very friendly.
Lovely evening celebrating for friends 50th birthday. Good food and service.
Food was good, service a bit lacking.
It is a very pretty restaurant/bar. I had breakfast and I was amazed by the way everything looked. However, I found the avocado and eggs very acidic. They add way too much lemon? Or something else that makes it overly sour.
Great food and service. Brilliant that we could take our daschund, she loved it and the staff were brilliant definitely go again.
Service was poor. Food was below average for a Bills. Wouldnt visit again.
Beautifully decorated restaurant with friendly staff. The food was good and the price reasonable. Food
I really enjoyed the Truffle chicken and burrata was amazing. I loved their strawberry margarita as they suggested. Thanks to Ellie we had an amazing time.
Food was amazing, service was below average and intrusive.
It was ok, went for breakfast on a bank hol and it wasnt too busy, sat quickly. Ordered but the food wasnt great. Pancakes were cardboard in parts and the eggs werent cooked through properly
Really beautiful, big and comfortable space. The Earl Gray tea was a bit bland. The only drawback is that the bathroom on the second floor has a strong smell...
My first time visiting, we went for breakfast. I had eggs benedict, it was spot on. The service was very good. Dietary restrictions: They were very good, asked if we had allergy and went out of their way to help.
All food came out cold
Food was lovely but not as lovely as our host Kalandra who topped the whole experience for us. Halloumi fries was delicious Would defo recommend!!
It was okay but portions were small and arrived cold. Very slow service, and they also forgot my sides . My sides arrived after I finished my mains.
Food is good Little expensive Food
Im really disappointed with bills Cambridge the food was cold and it was rather off putting waiting staff having their long hair loose serving food that so unhygienic! You need to sort out these standards bills.
Great burger. The atmosphere was nice and service was great.
Had a great breakfast with friends. As soon as we arrived we recieved a warm welcome and were shown to our table. Our server (Chelsea) was really friendly and we had a great laugh with her. She gave us some great suggestions on menu and drinks choices. A personal thanks from me for the heads up on the passion fruit martini!! Great food, great staff and a great atmosphere.
I like Bills restaurant with the simple comfort food being the a staple through the years. If it was just about my food this would be a 5 star review. I had the Brunch Shawarma which is right up my street. Flavoursome, filling but not overpowering. My wifes vegan breakfast was nowhere near as good. Greasy in the main with pretend bacon having no taste and the pretend egg having the greasy consistency of something not great being made up by the very nice vegan sausage. Her breakfast came cold as well. Both coffees came bitter, which I dont mind, but she does. Shame overall really. Vegetarian options: The vegan breakfast is not very good.
Lovely meals and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Great food. Staff really went out of their way to ensure my friends allergies were addressed. Very nice staff. Very comfortable seating. Looking forward to returning!
Chloe was absolutely fantastic
A nice place for relaxing brunch
Actually a decent bit of brunch, it surprised us both. Nice decor, service could be better/happier but what do you expect from low paid hospitality workers in the UK
Great atmosphere in the place, food was excellent, service a bit slow.
Arrived at Bills on Saturday for Dinner. We dont go out for dinner a lot so this was a special treat ... or so we thought. Once the food was ordered it was very quick service, my boyfriend and i both ordered the New platter that is out at the moment, this included: Sweetcorn, beef, chicken, mac and cheese and some other random things. All i can say was the food was microwaved. It was all warm not very hot and tasted like it was made hours ago. We notified the waitress who was very helpful and did discount our disasterous meal. However it was still expensive and put a damper on our evening. The food is definatly not worth the price you pay!
First choice BillS BBQ tray , also truly free for kids.
Manager wouldn t allow us in because we was gypsies he said that we wouldn t pay and was very aggressive he ruined my anniversary and kept shouting at my wife what a shame !!!!! He told me to F off and called me pikey and my family he s a disgrace !!!!!!!!!
Amazing place with yummy food, nice atmosphere and quality service. Could be loud during Saturday and Sundays but it is the same with every good food place.
Amazing experience, fair prices and wonderful staff
Nice ambiance.. Service was good.. I will surely visit again..
This was an amazing place and I m definitely going to be back there. How the staff related to me was really good.
Garden breakfast is my favorite. Also, the staff was kind, and the atmosphere was amazing.
Great food, delicious, service a bit slow beacause it was full, but it was the best ramp steak I ever had.
Seamless service (pre-ordered) for a group of ten and delicious food. Thank you.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience.
Excellent food and service
Very good atmosphere, great service! Good place to try the English breakfast.
So disappointed. I was in Cambridge visiting my family and went to bills with my mum and 3 children. We ordered food ,2 kids meals and some small plates to share. The small plates came extremely quickly but the kids meals took forever to come. I asked twice where they were and the response was their coming. The waiter could see the children were desperate for their food as they could see ours but did nothing to help and there was no apology. Customer service was literally awful. Even when I paid at the end where they added an additional service fee which they definitely didn t deserve did the waiter still not apologise. Poor poor customer service and ruined our meal. Was so disappointed as we had planned the day out and this just ruined it. Starving children and rude waiter. I will definitely not be coming back.
Delicious food, really friendly staff. A gem in Cambridge!
very friendly for vegan, nice foods
Very nice atmosphere very kind people but for me the breakfast for 14 pounds was ridiculously small and nothing special nevertheless the space is beautiful I would try more dishes to be able to judge overall.
Fabulous service from Chelsea - thank you.
Loved the brunch cheeseburger with the fried egg. Burger was a bit charred and I actually loved that, if was juicy with lots of flavor.
Love Bills, went here in Cambridge having been in London. Lovely food and service, wish there was one at home in Newcastle.
Lovely place, clean, neat, nice staff, good food.
Lovely lunch, as usual
Food was good it was a little noisy but biggest moan is they automatically add service charge to the bill.
Nice breakfast pancakes, not great service as our drinks arrived after our food
Lots of mums with their rug rats Kid-friendliness: See above Food : 3/5 |
The quality of food(as a product)was acceptable for the price. The chef was useless. The staff were useless minus one person. Got seated and and was waiting approx 20 mins for someone to ask for our order when it wasnt busy. ONLY when prompted by the person who seated us. Politely complained to the server about how the food was cooked and showed them. They had a lovely attitude towards it. NOT!!! Maccys workers tend to have a better worth ethic
Had an amazing experience at Bill s in Cambridge. The atmosphere and the food was great. Nevertheless, the whole experience was all due to our waitress Beau who absolutely smashed it. Would definitely come back.
A big and beautiful space. The staff was kind and helpful. Their brunch was nice. Relatively expensive for what it offers.
Loved the food. Good range of vegan options available.
Nice food great service
2nd time Ive been and still good service and excellent food Food
Lovely ambience. Great food and drinks. Our dog was allowed in. SUPERB service from Chelsea who handled our many requests faultlessly and with a great smile. Breakfast was top notch!
Great food always. Burgers are especially nice, breakfast could be bigger, but thats because is tastes so good.
Went for breakfast.. brilliant
We had a birthday dinner for mum there. Im glad i choose Bills and can recommend to others too. We used their offer for a free bottle of prosecco which they have for birthdays. We had steak and a dessert. I honestly felt I wont be able to eat for 2 days after that. Service was quick, the staff is friendly.
We passed by by chance, but it was a wonderful dining experience
Saturday lunch time, group of 8, perfect service, drinks on time, no errors, food was about 25 minutes (very busy), everything came at once, beautifully presented, all hot. All waitresses were polite. Would go back - pancakes are nice and fluffy american style. They gave the kids some drawing crayons to use and they loved it, kept them quiet for a while. Vegetarian options: There is a vegan burger option, friend said it was good.
Lovely restaurant lovely food but boiling hot inside
Popped in for brunch and got the traditional English. Sadly, my eggs didnt have runny yolks and parts of the breakfast were cold. My wife also didnt receive very hot food. Its not bad, but for the money its not particularly good value.
We just had a lovely lunch in Bills. My daughter had the caeser salad and I had the chicken shawarma, both were fresh, tasty, nice meals.
We loved this place. Great food, great atmosphere, and service.
Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere.
Great meals, outstanding service.
Food quality is very low for the price you pay. The service was decent and restaurant decoration was well. I don t think I will be back to this place.
Bad service, very expensive, they tipped themselves, the food was cold. Disaster. Kid-friendliness: It has high chairs for small children.
Ordered 2 burgers a coke and a leafy green drink ( that I cant remember the exact name for ) However my bill was £50 odd which wasnt much more than it was meant to be but I didnt mind .then the wateress added her self a tip of £1.70 odd with out asking. so not only was I over charged for my food payed extra to get over charged . the service from one lady (the one who over charged me ) was very good however the short wider girl who worked there decided she prefered talking to my bf and having her back turned to me which weirded both of us out and was very unprofessionaland awkward. Apart from that the food was okay quite avararage . Could have made the exact thing at home just as well ...
Maybe it was difficult to judge as it was a Saturday lunch. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Buy the promised text did arrive to say table was ready. Staff very good but Ive had better breakfast/brunch ingredients. Have eaten lunch and dinner which gave been better.
Good for brunch, it kept us full until dinner.
In a relatively quiet street. Inside is huge with a lot tables. Friendly and high efficiency staffs. Tap water is free. Foods we ordered(burger, salmon/shrimp salat )are also very tasty. Price is reasonable. Self-check out billing with scanning the QR code on the table is also very convenient. The dining environment and atmosphere are nice and comfortable. Good for a short snack:)
Good food, good atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, looked after us for a friends 40th birthday party. Would recommend
We dined in was on holiday for couple days
This is a nice Bills, it has a great cosy atmosphere to it which is wonderful. The waiting staff are really friendly and wonderful at their jobs. Food : 5/5
Nice restaurant, staff very pleasant , food good. Although we did have to wait half hour for starter
It taken me six months to put into words this horror-show . We ordered kids meals (for the kids) that wouldn t even qualify as a toddlers meal . Half way through the meal I felt something soft under my shoe. So I looked under and there was a .. PILE OF MEAT!!!!!!!! I could not believe this. The waitress didn t seem to care and was barely phased. The adults was also tiny and came with COLD chips, so patiently we waited for more chips. Don t even get me started on the bill. Make sure to check you bill before you pay. By Luke & Ida ( age 10 & 11)
Bills is always great! The staff were lovely!
Bills looks great though the window and walking in through the heavy draped doors continues the theme. The decor is a little over the top like a hotel lobby with a plethora of random images, statuettes and paraphernalia all over the dimly lit rooms. The menu is ok. Think upmarket Wetherspoons, freshly cooked and easy to eat. If you get excited by chicken two ways and burgers then you ll love it. A little over priced for what you get but I guess that s because it s a supposed to be exclusive. The 12.5% service charge is automatically added to your bill which was a bit much as the server changed during our meal and we were not introduced by name. They also requested a tip! Cheeky. Overall it was ok. Not sure if I would visit again.
Great food. Services was very quick. Kids eats for free at Easter so great value. Food : 5/5
Very good service, well-presented food and an attractive environment. The vegan breakfast looked better than it was. Fried potatoes and hot sauce? No thanks. Very odd scramble too. Downstairs toilet was awful and then we saw the bill - not worth it for such weak tea! A teapot that holds two cups worth needs two teabags, obviously And an optional service charge of 12.5% had been added without it being optional at all. We wont be back.
Great place, family friendly, nice staff and lovely decor
Food was OK, good service and atmosphere
Delicious food, friendly staff
A birthday dinner with husband, son and his girlfriend. 3 of us are vegan. I think more options would be welcome. I had aubergine fritters which were ok but a bit bland. Main course vegan shawarma much better. Bloody Mary delicious and wine options fine. I didnt eat dessert as my son brought a vegan birthday cake and candles. Staff efficient and very helpful.
Great bustling atmosphere, it seemed half of Cambridge were in here! We went Saturday lunchtime and definitely needed to book. Chicken shawarma was tasty, the waitress was super friendly and great. Only negative is they want you to pay for your bill on your phone using QR code, but the WiFi was very slow - happy to do this but only if there is decent Internet! Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly with a kids menu and colouring. Noisy atmosphere so your kids can also make a bit of noise without disturbing others too much!!
We had a really good meal at bills, peak time Saturday night 7pm. It was super busy, but food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the burgers. Only complaint was being put opposite the doorway, where everyone entering looked at you eating and a chilly draft from the door being opened. Definitely will be back, as their menu has changed a lot since I last visited years ago. They offer a wide range of veggie options, which other establishments seem to fail on. Veggies are really are spoilt for choice, well done bills coming back soon.
Everything excellent! Almost entirely gluten free menu! Very generous and quality portions! Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!
Great gluten free options and dog friendly. Had a really good offer when we went where kids eat free. Although they forgot to take off bill so always double check before paying (which I thankfully did) hence one star off for service. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pancakes were amazing.
Delicious English breakfast . I just didn t like standing on the doorway for more than 5 minutes alone, and place was not crowded at all at that time. Everyone saw me there. I was only one person and felt unimportant. But nevertheless my rating is high , all other was ok.
Good for what it is. Good food, great environment
The food and customer service was great. Will go and recommend it to friends
I come here every now and then but unfortunately I think it s slowly gotten a little worse each time. This time round I felt cheated of what I bought. I have added some photos to describe this. I ordered the big brunch. They were generous with the mushrooms, potatoes and tomato but everything else felt scarce (probably to lower costs). The baked beans were incredibly small in portion. I also ordered smashed avocado which was neither smashed nor entirely avocado. As seen in the photo it was chunks of avocado mixed with leaves which I felt was to hide the lack of avocado. For £16-17 I was left still pretty hungry. Also happy to tip for the service but 12.5% is pretty high for a single person table at 11am. Also don t take cash anymore which is pretty frustrating. At the end of the day I would ve happily paid more if it meant I actually felt like I got what I should ve (a big brunch). Unfortunately won t be returning anymore.
Food exquisite SERVICE absolutely awful. And no customer care or focus. I think as customers we deserve a little better. Food : 5/5 |
Breakfast menu is too egg-centric. Doesnt take cash, which could be a problem for some. Other than that, fine, but very limited choice if you dont like eggs. Its like the Monty Python spam sketch.
Everything was great. Food, service. And beautiful restaurant located in the city of Cambridge. Gladly again.
VERY RUDE SERVICE!!! been there a few times so I have some complaints piled up 1. staff were in the way talking and saw me trynna pass by but they stood there didn t move an inch 2. Staff threw cutlery on the plate making a loud noise , kept a straight face and left without apologies 3. Staff puts his hand in front of me standing very straight without saying a word expecting me to hand him over the plate! not even paying effort bending his back, when I did so he didn t say thank you , this HAPPENED TWO TIEMS 4. Staff chased me and accused me LEFT WITHOUT PAYING when she ignored me the whole time so I had to pay with another waiter 5. You can feel their attitude when they serving you Food much worse than before ,been there multiple times but order seafood linguine every time, and for today it taste plain like paper. Definitely not recommend!!!
We love Bill s restaurants in general as they are dog and family friendly. However, this was first time we stayed at their Cambridge branch and the experience was far from what we expected. The service was rushed, staffs lacked hospitality training - they squeezed us with a toddler and small dog under the staircase on the way to their kitchen. My chair was constantly knocked by staff on their way to and back from the kitchen and no one apologised even once! We asked if the orange juice was freshly squeezed, they said yes. Once it arrived, it was clearly from the cardboard. When we raised the issue the waiter said it was squeezed somewhere else not by us! No apology for giving wrong information. Overall, the place was overly confused, laud and messy!! If you are looking for a relaxing place for brunch or lunch it is not a place for you!!
I wanted to have a good breakfast and here I found it. I had a very complete English breakfast with two fried eggs, bacon, toast, etc. Too bad I didnt take a photo of it. They have a wide variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Highly recommended, attention and service of 10.
Excellent brunch. Huge place, really efficient service. Good, fresh food with generous portions. Advised
Bills is a central restaurant. We were a party of 10 and were easily accommodated. We paid separately using the QR on the table. This made it so easy to deal with the bill, and it even calculated the tip for each of us. I ordered a Moca that came with a chocolate flake. The ultimate brunch burger - 3oz - was very thin and much smaller than the bun. The cheesy chips came in a separate dish (the cheese is a cheese sauce). The restaurant is very large, but there was still a que to get in, Id recommend booking.
The team at Bills managed to squeeze us in. Food and service was great. Special shout out to our server, she looked after us really well on a busy evening for the restaurant.
Fantastic place,,,delicious food
We had a very good lunch today - friendly service, delicious burgers, good coffee and doughnuts - we felt very good value for money. We ve been before but we re especially impressed today. Vegetarian options: Very tasty vegan burger
Nice meal pre a show at the Corn Exchange. Loved the bohemian decor. Food was delicious...we had fish pie and burger. Great cocktails. Good price for Cambridge. Disappointed that they didnt do Mac n cheese as a main though
