Gluten free buns available. Staff were very knowledgable about dietary restrictions e.g. told me that the mustard on the table had barley so was not GF but the one they used in the burger was safe for me

When we visit Cambridge we always eat at Byrons. The service is good especially now that we dont have to order on the App. Food always arrives promptly and the burgers are the best around. If youve never visited Byrons in Cambridge I recommend you do so next time your there. You wont be disappointed

If you re craving a burger that goes beyond the basics, Byron is where you want to be. This spot doesn t just serve burgers it celebrates them. From the moment you walk in, the smell of sizzling patties and fresh-cut fries pulls you in, and the relaxed vibe makes you feel right at home. I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger with a side of their house fries and tots, and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was perfectly juicy, and cooked with just the right amount of char. The bun was soft yet held up well, even with all the toppings a true test of a quality burger. The toppings were fresh, with crisp lettuce, thick-cut tomato, and a tangy house sauce that elevated the whole experience.

Beautiful place, the burger are real, nice and juicy worth the money you spent.

Still banging out a great burger. I miss the specials yet they still deliver the classics very well. The milkshakes are the bomb. My girls adrore the Mac n Cheese - you can share one between two with some fries and a shake.

The food was great and the service from Mario was excellent. A little lacking in atmosphere as it was early and mid-week, so it was quiet, I m sure it would improve at busier times. We would certainly go again.

We wanted a snack and we were tempted by the offer of buy one burger and get a second free. The food was great and the service was fine. However i was surprised to be charged a service charge. This is 10% but this was 10% before the cost of the free burger was taken off the price, so in reality the service charge is 15% of the bill. Technically it is discretionary but they add this charge to the bill first and then you have to ask for it to taken off the bill. This is cheeky!! For that reason in the future i will go elsewhere.

The Dirty Byron was outstanding! I coupled it with some excellent sweet potato fires for a perfectly portioned and fully delicious lunch. My server, Mario (from Sicily) was outstanding. The environment was comfortable, the service top-notch, the food delivered quickly and hot. They also ask about any allergies before you order so there are no surprises. All around, excellent, and very near Cambridge University.

Clean and modern with comfortable booths, a good range of burgers on the menu with a decent alcohol selection. Staff was friendly and helpful, the food was good but can be a bit overcomplicated so some of the flavours get lost, but overall decent place to get some lunch or dinner. Wheelchair accessibility: There is one wheelchair accesable toilet on the ground floor towards the kitchen. The door to the restaurant itself is quite heavy and narrow so would need help opening both.

Such a shame. The burger quality has dropped massively. We have been coming here for 8 years now and always looked forward to the burgers. This time, we did not like it at all. When ordering, the waiter didnt ask how we want the meat cooked which is an indication that the meat might be frozen. When we mentioned it, he said they changed provider and the provider recommends cooking the burgers to well done. When the burger arrived, it was the saddest plate I have seen in a long time. They did not just change meat provider, they also changed the bun. It was horrible. I am sorry to say, but the burger is not edible. We chose the cheese burger.

We used to visit here every time we were in Cambridge because the medium cooked burgers were so good. Theyve changed recently and all burgers come out well done - no choice anymore. Not sure if theyve been made to do that for some reason but its just not the same. Byron - if you have any control over this, please go back to the old burgers!

Filthy bathrooms (male & female). Dirty nappies on the floor, treacherous disgusting greasy floors between restaurant & bathroom. No wonder they make you pay in advance when you order. Empty restaurant & we waited 30 minutes for our food. And what was delivered was less than mediocre. Used to be a reasonable place. Now truly awful. Have many times enjoyed Byron as reliable but after this experience will never go there again.

Nice burgers. Nice salad. Sweet potato fries were warm. Problem with service is we had to pay before we had the food. 12.5% service charge was added - before we had really experienced it. I think that is unethical. Also - had the vegan burger. It was smaller than the normal burger - and cost £1 more. @Byron please explain these two unethical practices!

The vegan chicken burger is really good. During lunch they have a good deal with main and a side. Vegetarian options: Not many options, but high quality vegan burgers.

I really love the burgers here! An amazing selection for veggie/vegans . Really spoilt for choice! We ordered for delivery to our hotel and it came in decent time and was hot and tasted amazing. The food is good. Sadly, more often than not, they forget to put it all in the bag and items are missing, so you won t get to try the food anyway.

On a hot day this is one of the most soothing dining experiences in Cambridge. The burgers are nothing but perfection, and when coupled with a sundae, it is magnificent.

Absolutely delicious burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was made with incredibly good meat. Their customization options made ordering easy for someone with dietary restrictions. Dietary restrictions: The waiter asked about my restrictions and confirmed that they were medical, not preference. He confirmed what I could eat safely on the menu. My only slight critique is that I got my burger without a bun, and the side salad they served instead had dressing on it that almost certainly had my major trigger garlic in the dressing. I just didnt eat it and it was fine, but since the staff was scrupulous about asking, it seemed weird that they didnt follow up on the sides.

The beef burger is delicious and the sweet and regular potatoes are delicious And the service is wonderful

Very average burgers and chicken burgers, underseasoned and greasy. The smash burger patties were just two half sized patties, a bit limp and tasteless rather than smashed thin and grilled. The onion rings drowned in oil in their dish. We paid over £50 for two burgers, fries, onion rings and 2 drinks, which felt pretty steep for the quality. There are many better burger places around Cambridge so seek those out instead.

One of the best burgers I ever had

We really enjoy coming here, especially with my allergies as they are so well catered for (dairy and gluten and meat free). The service tends to ask for you to order on your phone, which means you can pay there and then and usually it doesn t take long for food to come out. We have had it however in certain spots of the restaurant where we needed to connect to WiFi as there was no service. This was then very slow and difficult to order with. Nonetheless, the staff are very kind and helpful. In regards to the atmosphere, it is nice and got a nice vibe. Nothing too special but definitely nothing negative about it. As I mentioned, the food is unreal. It s amazing for non-allergy people who like beef and chicken, but also very good for allergy people with vegan options or grilled chicken options for my gluten free peeps and all sorts. I would recommend. Vegetarian options: There are vegan and vegetarian options which is great. However, if you have multiple allergies such as myself (gluten and dairy) then I am limited to two burgers: the classic; the spicy. I enjoy both so no problems there. They also have loads of vegan milkshakes which is my number 1 reason for coming here over other burger places. Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to dairy and gluten and do not eat meat. There are two options for my burgers with these restrictions; both of which I enjoy very much. There are loads of milkshake options which are gorgeous, including a no nut peanut shake which is unreal! I can have the hash brown bite things and most of the other sides are available to me too. They are very good at letting you know what condiments you can have and they even have vegan mayo too. I would recommend to my fellow allergy peeps.

Previously a good experience this time around far less family friendly. Seems our waiter did not like children and made it a point to be rude to my son, very disturbing to see a grown man showing such irritation towards a 9 year old child. We were sat just a meter from their counter where 3 waiters were having an inappropriate conversation and laughing very loudly. We chose to visit again as my son remembered a great birthday meal here however this time around we only looked forward to paying the bill and leaving.

Genuinely such little care from the staff, all they did was chat and spend time on their phones, and get orders wrong. I heard them arguing several times about it. We waited so long for someone to take our order, we eventually used the app, only just before clicking order the waitress came over. Total 45 minute wait for food. A lot of food was sat on the pass while the waitress was chatting to her friends, kitchen staff ended up taking food to tables because she was preoccupied. I ll just add, the restaurant wasn t busy at all - another couple even tried to order and the waitress told them to wait, they ended up walking out! Although the burger was nice, we won t be returning.

Me and my husband love burgers and Byron didnt disappoint, we went for lunch during the week. I ordered the lunch cheeseburger which came with a soft drink and fries. Husband ordered a double bacon cheese burger from the Proper burgers part of the menu and his drink and fries separately. In addition I ordered a portion of onion rings which were crispy and had a lovely crunch to them. And buffalo wings with ranch dipping sauce, these were nice too. Started eating before the wings arrived, that s why they weren t included in the photo lol! Everyone who served us on the day were super, ordering food was straight forward. All we had to do was scan the QR code order our food on the website and everything worked perfectly. Tasty food and good vibes, will go again for an occasion only though. Couldnt afford it on every outing lol!
