We're Honest Burgers. We set out to do burgers a bit differently. Our burgers are made daily, in our own butchery, with great British beef, and our famous rosemary chips are cut and cooked daily, never frozen. We love local, and at Honest Burgers Cambridge we have our own exclusive local burger, in collaboration with Guerilla Kitchen, alongside some great local beers from neighbouring brewery BrewBoard. Plus there's a new special burger every month, inspired by local food heroes and the stories they have to tell.
As a celiac, it is uncommon to eat burgers. It is even more uncommon to have good burgers. I liked it though the fries seemed over fried and too dry. The staff was very friendly, but it was a bit cool inside the restaurant. Obviously, the staff is not responsible for it as I think the windows do not have good isolation or maybe the heating wasn't working properly. This is the reason for 4 stars.
Really great burger and chips! I've been here a few times, and they're not particularly fast, but it's worth the wait!
Timing Issue? Have been in this restaurant twice only. Return again because I want to confirm my impression. Often saw freshly prepared dishes ready to collect at the counter. There's often a delay that the food was cooling down at the counter, before it was delivered to the customers. The food was only slightly warm as a result. The green salad was only lettuce, vinegar and some fried onions. Normally people expect green salad means a mix of different salad vegetables with a slice of tomato or a raw onion ring? Were the fries overdone or was it their style? As it was quite dry and salty. We needed extra dipping sauce to finish. But still, the beef patties were genuinely juicy and well seasoned. Too bad the patties were only slightly warm. The environment is clean, nice and comfortable. The tables are not too close and provide enough space between customers.
All I can say is wow the food here is incredible such pride and passion has been put into the food by the 3 chefs working there so I had to personally thank each of them myself me and my partner would happily travel 2 hours just to eat here again I enjoyed every single bite and wanted one to take home with me well done lads keep up the good work
Probably the best burger i’ve had in Cambridge, and i’ve tried most of them! I didn’t realise this when we first walked in, but their meat is produced using regenerative farming practices, and it seriously shows: even amidst all the strong topping flavours of our burgers (i got the local special Cambridge burger, my partner got the chilli burger), the taste of the beef itself shines through, and it’s honestly excellent. The host was super friendly even though the restaurant was busy, and even took the time to answer our questions about regenerative farming and show us pictures from his visit to one of the Honest cow farms. Turns out that soil health and animal health are not only good for human health, they’re also damn good for human taste buds. 😋 Oh, and the rosemary chips and bacon gravy were delicious as well. Highly recommend all around!
Cambridge town has one of the best burgers including a smash burger option. Don’t miss while you are in the prestigious town. I celebrated my daughter’s graduation and second meal I had after celebration was Honest Burger. Chicken wings were equally good and smash burger was my favourite. Must try place for an afternoon treat.. enjoy
It's really nice and delicious burgers at Cambridge. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. You can enjoy your meal here 😜
First honest burger in years and first in Cambridge. A solid 4. Not special enough for me to crave another in another couple of years, but the service is friendly and prompt, and the ingredients seem reliable. I didn’t expect the place to be so full at noon! People are actually waiting at the entrance and staring, which gives me anxieties... perhaps next time I’ll order takeaway. I forgot the beef burger doesn’t come with cheese. Maybe one dayI’ll try the supposedly “lighter” smashed burger with cheese then. But I do appreciate the availability of medium rare beef patty (<3 fresh meat), otherwise M*Donalds would suffice. I would prefer a little more salt, but it’s good for my heart. The searing still offers some crunchiness. The bun is plump and gives a satisfying bites. The menus are informative, although I had to look at deliver menu for nutrition info on special items. And 20% off with Student Beans isn’t bad.
Waited 50 minutes for 2 burger chips and side orders. The chips were too overcooked and had too much salt on them, i couldnt eat more than a few evenothough i hate wasting food. I ordered coleslaw as a side and it tasted stale. The burger was fine. However, the lettuce wasnt even fresh and the chicken was overcooked. For 20 pounds and wait of 50 minutes, it definitely wasnt worth it. I would have rather spent that money on KFC.
May 2022: So good, we are making an effort to find another location during our travels to eat at again. Actually cooked the way we asked (medium rare), sturdy and proportional bun, with thick enough cheese to notice. For the chips, we got a side of bacon gravy that was so rich, deep and flavorful, we likened it to French saucier level good. My partner wasn t that hungry but he stuffed himself just in case we don t get to go again before we leave England. Cannot recommend enough. May 2024: we did a one-night layover otw to Ireland and stayed in Windsor. The burger was just how we remembered it. Still amazing.
The burgers are tasty, but why so small? 15.5£ for the one in the picture. When I left I was still hungry.
They are not respecting delivery drivers After all they are humans too and they should not treated like this. They always make them waiting to get orders and they told specially to wait outside not even inside. The way he was telling me was rude and disrespectful. Not good place to go where they are not seeing everyone as human beings
Not dog friendly like other venues
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Burger was delicious I would recommend the Cambridge Burger. Will be coming back.
Its been a few years since we visited this location and the team has clearly changed. We used to visit regularly and had some incredible customer service that had you stand out as an example to your competitors. Previously we have experienced exemplary customer service and experience, something I highly value in a world full of diverse eating options. Unfortunately yesterday evening we went to the Cambridge restaurant at approximately 6pm. There were only three of us and we entered the location (one that doesnt allow you to book) with no one ahead of us. We were immediately told a table was about to be free and would be sat in a couple of minutes. A moment later another group came in after us and made it clear they had there name on a list and should be seated first. The waitress looked confused and got the mananager to assist who found a hand written list and proceeded to seat the other group. We were offered no apology or really any explanation. We were then told it would be another 20 mins. We chose to leave and eat elsewhere. We wont be back. If you refuse to operate with reservations then that should be a rule for all. If you are going to use a list system all staff should be aware of it. And if you are going to mess around with previously loyal patrons at least offer some apology.
Excellent service and food!
Had a really good outing. Amazing food as usual
Rosemary chips are the must have. Beef patty tastes like steak. Recommended for everyone to try once atleast
It is so bad that it serves poorly treated food
Downstairs takes ae not great. I would wait next time for a table upstairs. The toilets are downstairs, and the place has poo ventilation. The food was good. The smashed burger was great. No Rosemary on Chips option would be nice.
An expensive stomach ache Had an early dinner in this place. Less than an hour later was in the toilet of the hotel room with bad diarrhea. I arrived in UK that day, and only had breakfast at home. So, no. It wasnt something else I ate, because I didnt. PS: 10% service charge already printed in the receipt before the grand total is not honest at all
Nice enough burger. Staffs very welcoming. Toilets tho! Trek up 2 flights then thru big room tucked away in corner. No soap no toilet roll. Really need to be able to wash hands with soap in an eatery!
nice service and tasty vegan vegetarian options, french fries was good too
Best burger in Cambridge, by far. Go for the specials! Vegetarian options: Surprisingly many! Food : 5/5 |
Best burgers in town! Highly recommend!
Ordered on drliveroo. somehow everything other than the burgers are great. Which means the burger is very much below average.
The place was crowded. The food was delicious, but they had a problem with delays
Very popular, it took a while to be given a table. The wait was worth it though, because the honest burger is one of the best balanced burgers out there. The meat is key - its plentiful, well textured, juicy and perfectly cooked. Not rare or burnt or rubbery. Everything on it is harmonious, it doesnt even need tomato sauce added. Im often underwhelmed by rosemary flavoured chips, but these were crispy and even better dipped in the table mayonnaise. The mint lemonade was refreshing. Yes youre a bit too close to your neighbours. Its not too noisy though. Toilets are clean, although down some steep steps. All in all, recommended.
Great food, kind service
It took 38 mins for a mediocre burger and poorly seasoned fries plus the burger didn t have cheese (it was extra)
In general a decent visit. I have some critic points though. Well first, the drinks aren t as large as the menu says. Still small in my eyes. I ordered their gin tonic which was nice though I lacked of gin. Their chicken pieces are absolutely lovely. Great job there! The burger I had though, which was supposed to be a double smashed burger with bacon as a topping, was a little boring though. First of all, I only got a single smashed one. So my order wasn t picked up right. The sauce was great though I have to say that the burger itself was quite small and also it just didn t have to many ingredients on it. It s just missing something more. The chips that were included with the burger were of great taste and quality. Next time, I would order something different but a menu refresh would be a good idea. For what you get, it s just a little too expensive, especially when it comes to the burger.
Juicy burgers, cooked to your liking. The rosemary chips are delicious. Friendly staff and short wait times. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available, however they are limited to two options. Dietary restrictions: Most dietary requirements can be accommodated. Almost all items may contain traces of eggs and milk. Every item can be made gluten free. Parking: The Grand Arcade is a short walk away. Kid-friendliness: A kids menu is available. Wheelchair accessibility: Some gaps between tables are narrow, but a regular wheelchair should fit. There is a fully accessible toilet.
Updated September 5, 2024 Previous positive experiences brought me back here this evening and unfortunately I did not find the same quality and quantity. The bread is different and its not that great, the sandwiches seem smaller to me. The burger is a little overcooked and is dry. Im keeping the 5 stars for now. Previous review Five stars deserved both for the goodness of the food and for the quality of the service and the comfortable and not too noisy environment. Limited choice of sandwiches and little different from each other but this is precisely the strength of the place: good meat counts expertly and quality ingredients. Vegan menu available. Limited beer selection, but there is Guinness draft. Try lemonade and mint, a sort of virgin mohito. The fries come with the burger and the other side dishes (onion rings, chicken wings...) are on-top and not alternatives. Its easy to talk if you go with company because theres no confusion. Patatin; We had a pleasant evening. Vegetarian options: a variety of veg dishes available Dietary restrictions: veg on the list Parking: there is no parking Kid-friendliness: more suitable for adults than children who perhaps wont enjoy the burger without sauces. Wheelchair accessibility: full possibility
Lovely place
10/10 A* Service with a smile ! Hats off to Joe & team ! Our No.1 Joint ! Thank you
I had chicken pesto burger with rosemary salted chips, all seemed to me real food, not the typical processed meat. Chips really crispy and I really liked the rosemary touch.
Love this place
All the tables were full when we arrived, so we asked the waiter what was the estimated time for us to get the ordered food to the table. The waiter said about 10 minutes, 15 minutes at most. After 20 minutes of this, we left because we hadnt even gotten a table yet.
Delicious! Slow service. Kind waiters. Thank u guys.
Fantastic, as is every one of this chain. Local burger and beer were a unique and delicious choice, staff were friendly and food arrived very promptly. Rosemary salted chips were cooked to perfection as usual, overall a fantastic experience and very reasonably priced for what you get. Parking: Use the park and ride - significantly cheaper than parking in one of the city centre car parks.
The vegetarian option was great! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian option was tasty. Casual atmosphere, great food. Food : 5/5 |
Planned to go to HONEST with my son for a while and finally made it there. The greeting was friendly, the atmosphere was at a perfect level making it easy to converse. The restaurant looked clean including the toilets. The menu had a great range of burgers & sides. My son requested a custom burger which they were happy to accommodate, burgers well presented and served hot with fresh chips. We had onion rings and buffalo wings which were crisp and coated well. The service was friendly and not intrusive, the staff looked happy and were engaging with all the guests, big shout out to J who made our burgers and accommodated my son s dietary requirement they were amazing. A great experience, will definitely return and highly recommended Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian sides and burgers Dietary restrictions: Halal diet catered for Parking: Some off street parking available for disabled guests and plenty of parking available in the grand arcade Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for children, my son loved the attention, he was given a children s menu and the staff engaged with him well
Was our second visit here in a month. Im allergic to gluten and dairy and had no issues the staff were reassuring that equipment would be cleaned down as best they could to not cross contaminate the dairy. Food was really good. Let down abit by the toilet but with ongoing renovations to the main loos as you can imagine the use of one toilet will get pretty gross fast. No reflection on staff, food or dinning environments that were all clean. Dietary restrictions: Able to get gluten free and dairy free foods.
All I need to say is.....Bacon Gravy! Love it You wont be disappointed Food : 5/5
Should of had the monthly special, it was delicious. The local special less so.
The staff are so friendly and extremely nice which just makes the atmosphere of this place so much better. Its a great place to come and eat some lunch with a friend as the prices are really affordable given todays economy. The burger itself, I had the Cambridge Local, was juicy and amazing. I could taste all the season inside the meat itself and was just heavenly. Will definitely come back again!! Kid-friendliness: GREAT environment to bring the kids but I wouldnt say the portion sizes are for them. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp accessible so wheelchair users can easily navigate their way in.
One of my friends and I had a beef burger and it was really good, especially the onion relish. I recommend. Vegetarian options: There are 3 burgers for vegans
Price/Value overall is great deal. WC not working, service is not the perfect one I received.
Delicious burger best Ive had in a long time.
First time trying Honest Burger in Cambridge on a day trip all I can say is wow. Had the tribute burger done rare, best burger I have tasted all flavours compliment each other amazingly, had to personally thank the 3 chefs and the rosemary salted fries were amazing. 3 chefs that are a credit to the company and know how to cook needed to give my appreciation thank you for making a great end with great food to a special day.
Dietary restrictions: The gluten free options were clear and concise. Food
Heard about this place. Visited it as it opened forvlunch on Sunday. Burger was average so was the chips. Good service but pricy for an average burger. Not much atmosphere around Sunday Lunchtime.
Enjoyed the food. Staff were friendly. Kids also had a great time. Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming of the children. Did a plain burger for my daughter, on request. Food : 5/5 |
The food is great but the service is very unimpressive
There were no gherkins in the burgers, and we weren t informed about this before ordering. Additionally, the fries were really disappointing.
My coworkers are still talking about the limited time fried chicken sandwich, so Im a bit jealous I didnt try that! I got the smashburger, and it was also quite good. The beef tasted nice and fresh, and the sauce on the burger was delicious. The building itself is also very cute, and fits in nicely. We waited for a while for our seats, but I think that was just a testament to the quality of the food. Highly recommend if youre looking for a good burger (or apparently a good chicken sandwich)!
Small room with air conditioning vents that cool the room excessively. Terrible burgers, almost completely burned. Terrible chips, dry and with a large amount of crushed, inedible. High cost for the quality of the food. Too bad, I remembered it for the quality and hospitality.
Staff looked miserable which is never a good sign. Stood by the door being ignored for a few minutes. Then seated and ignored again whilst the waitress played with her phone and chatted with her colleagues at the kitchen counter. We gave up and left.
Burgers are delicious and the smashed one is spot on. Highly recommend.
Great place for gluten free eating and the chips are the best. But the service with a smile does not exist for the waitress. She ignored my questions and when she wanted to pick up the menu my phone was on she just did a waving motion until I moved it. She seemed to talk and communicate well with the girls in the restaurant so I suspect she s a man hater. Unfortunately due to this I will not be returning.
Really enjoyed our meal at Honest Burgers. Nice, friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. And would recommend the smashed burger - lots a flavour and not too heavy.
The food that you re very delicious and the service is very kind
Really nice place and tasty food
Burger was absolutely delicious, fries good too but would not order the onion rings again, they are very crispy and oily not for us but will visit again for the burgers.
Second visit, very busy, very noisy, food nice Food
Best burgers in town
Very tasty burgers and fries. Could do with a bigger size as it didn t fill me up. Onion rings were very tasty. Service was good, the place is clean and at a great central location. Friendly staff and acceptable waiting time. Clean washrooms is always a bonus! If you beleive this review has been helpful for you, please don t forget to press the button. Thank you.
Very good burgers. We didnt need to book a table on fathers day, which was handy. Even my twins ate their food! Thanks for a great service and amazing food
Good vegetarian burger
Best burger place in Cambridge. Quality is always exceptionally high.
Good quality burgers and sides, had the new smash burger was delicious good value for just under £30 for the two of us. Will definitely visit again next time im in Cambridge.
Had the local burgers and they were awesome. Perfectly medium cooked patty, well-balanced flavours. Rosemary chips were great, too. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free available
Not very honest burgers.. Very disappointed with the food quality and the service was subpar. Oily onion rings, chips were not fresh and the burgers were dry with minimal sauce and lacks juiciness. The buffalo wings were delicious however.
First and foremost the queues are outside on the bank holiday weekend but the whole of the ground floor of the restaurant is empty When we finally got in the food was actually good and wholesale - especially the flavoursome and crispy chips. I found the onion rings to be extremely greasy and a big disappointment - it did have potential but it was nowhere near as good as the GBK onion rings which I hold in high esteem. Prices were reasonably for central Cambridge.
Delicious burgers, amazing chips, reasonably priced, good atmosphere, would definitely return again
Best burgers in Cambridge, tastes like South Africa wagu beef . Gorgeous
Great food and service. No coffee though; just alcoholic and soft drinks.
100% gluten-free taste is spot on
Best burgers ever! Had my first in London and have been hooked ever since. Love it!!
The servers were friendly and restaurant clean. We went shortly after opening and so it wasnt crowded. The burger was not bad, but not the best burger Ive had. The chips were by far the best Ive had in a long time. Would I return? Yes
Really delicious food, and good service.
Food was cold and the chicken burger wasn t cooked properly in the middle, I was then left with food poisoning AVOID . Management didn t seem to bothered and only took the burger off the bill and I was left hungry
The burger was okay, chicken lacked flavour, and the chips were awful -small, oily, and clearly leftovers from the pot, which was unappetising. Disappointing overall, especially considering the positive reviews.
The short woman that served us on Monday had ABSOLUTELY NO service skills. She looked angry or disappointed to seeing us come through the door. She basically threw the menus to the table and did the same with the food. It took ages to get our change back from the servers even if there were only around 6 tables (max) to be served. As a server myself, if I could give 0 stars for service I would. And for the record I have come here more than once and been served with her, both times we received the poor treatment but this time was just outstandingly bad. Training on table manner is required as it s unacceptable to feel so unwelcome to a restaurant. Nevertheless, food was good, warm and delicious which is the only reason why they re receiving 2 stars. Portions were quite good. The restaurant seemed decently clean apart from the fork my partner got which was visibly dirty and unpolished
Great burgers! It was very busy when we were there, service was on / off. Would definitely go back. Food : 5/5
To be honest, I have tried almost every restaurants of Honest Burger and this one is the worst I can say, there was no taste, cheese not melted in the burger. Last week I ate at the Greenwich branch the same burger and that was way way better. You might need to discuss on it with your chef!
Delicious burgers in a nice atmosphere, good value for money. Good place to grab a bite to eat in Cambridge Old Town.
It doesnt close in the middle of the day. They ask about allergies. Very good Smashed, Beef and Chicken burgers.
Whilst no complaints about the food, felt overpriced and a little rushed to me if Im honest. They were able to cater for my wife who needed a gluten free burger which was good. Dietary restrictions: Cater for gf requirements
We ordered buffalo and carolina fried chicken and loved it! Mint lemonade was also quite refreshing. However, we did not like the onion rings and buffalo wings. This restaurant was comfy.
Nice cosy place and honestly good burgers. Gluten free options avail too . They have buffalo burgers too. Serves Brooklyn draft beer on tap
I rarely leave reviews. Was one of the best places for burgers. Thanks!
Absolutely superb plant burgers. Wonderful rosemary chips. Great choice of beers. Ill definitely be back!
Had a lovely meal burger
Nice and friendly staff, welcoming attitude Kids meal portion was good enough for 8yo child, chips no salt for kids are so considerate! Kid-friendliness: Good service and checks on the kid
Lovely little restaurant right next to the grand arcade, that I hadnt been to for years prior, so was wondering if much had changed. We managed to get a table (which we havent done beofre since it is so popular and conveniently placed, and our drinks were sweet, delicious and came quickly The atmosphere is amazing - we were sat in the side, away from the kitchen and most of the tables, but it made no different to be honest. Our waiter was nice and got us everything we asked for, and the service was speedy. I am aware that the service varies here, but for us it was stellar and it scarcely took 20 minutes, despite the fact there were quite a few people in there. I have been at dinner before and it is usually much busier and the wait is a bit longer than usual, but it is definitely worth the wait! The food was on another level! The rosemary-salted chips are a nice touch, but are quite salty so be careful if you dont like to much salt. The burgers were sublime and we ate ours all up, practically licking the plate clean! The accustomed to our specific needs quickly and it was all around a lovely meal out I cant wait to visit again! Parking: Near the Grand arcade so very easy to get to. If no spaces, there are plenty of road spaces that are sometimes available to use. Parking in Cambridge can be a nightmare, but you usually find a space eventually.
Great little find. We had 3 different delicious burgers and tasty, crispy onion rings. Only negative was how awful the toilets were.
Very disappointed with the quality of the burgers here. The gravy smelled really weird and the chips were completely dry inside. Service is really poor and they still add a service charge. Food
The food was amazing
Never been there
Good service and ok prices. Service speed was good. Definitely recommend the Cambridge burger Food : 5/5
Everything was good, the food was tasty, but the air-condition was very strong even outside it was cold.
Unfortunately cashless only.
Been here a few times. Great burgers and fries. Really good selection of beer and wine. Situated next to the Cambridge Corn Exchange, very good for pre- concert food and drink. Had to wait for a table as they only accept reservations on certain nights. Very good service. Recommended.
Arrived and was seated quickly by friendly member of staff. She quickly explained it was card payments only. We ordered drinks and food together and they arrived quickly. I would just say alittle too greasy and the coleslaw had a lot of vinegar so couldnt eat it all. Otherwise all good and would return and give it another go.
Fantastic food & service. A group of us (3 adults and 2 children) called in to Honest Burger on Saturday 24 Feb. There was an issue with one of the kids meals being delayed. The staff were really apologetic and compensated us amazingly well for the delay. We were very, very impressed! The Burgers were great and the atmosphere in the restaurant was outstanding. This was our first visit to Honest burger in Cambridge and we cant wait to go back. Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly
The best burgers ever!!
It continues to keep my faith on this brand with food, service and et al.
The name says it all. The most honest burger in Cambridge!
As always, Honest burger didnt disappoint. The Rosemary salted fries are amazing and the portion generous. Warm enough even though delivered by Uber Eats. Also a safe bet when travelling to different locations.
Best gluten free burgers, highly recommended. The staff is also very and very friendly.
Great food , one of the juiciest burgers Ive ever had .
Terrible service. The lady was talking all the time with a table who speaks the same language and totally ignored me and other customers
I can say its not the best burgers i had but still the location was nice , onions very oily hamburger is basic for the price i can say its a bit expensive for that taste , sauces were good i can tell
Our favourite place to eat and get a burger! My son has coeliac disease and this place is perfect to cater for him, they reassure me its safe for him and there is no extra charge for the gluten free bun, its included in their bargain set menu for children. My son loves it and always asks to go here if we go out to eat. Personally, I found the food amazing! The onion rings and the vegan burger is the best I have ever had!! Friendly people and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, our favourite place to eat out.
A bit of a wait to get a table but well worth it. Quick service and the burger I had was delicious and great crunchy non greasy fries.
We were met by a beaming Rafaela who couldnt do too much for us. She looked after us and our old spaniel and made sure we had everything we could ask for. Great grub and drink too - gorgeous burgers and those rosemary fries were divine Highly recommended after a long walk around historic Cambridge. Wheelchair accessibility: My wifes mobility scooter drove in and out easily and the accessible toilet on the ground floor was fine too.
Lovely honest burger with truffle oil sauce with chips. Really yummy.
Vegetarian southern fritter burger was delicious. Service was great. Vegetarian options: The southern fritter burger was delicious. Food : 5/5 |
Came here recently and had two veggie burgers with my partner -- the fritter and vegan teriyaki. Personally, I thought both were pretty good, but not amazing. Nothing wrong with either of them, I just have preferred the veggie burgers elsewhere to these (e.g., Butch Annies). However, I would say these were better than most boring veg burgers for sure -- so around 4-4.5 stars. I also wasnt that big of a fan of the rosemary chips. The vibe of the place is great though, and service was also quite good.
Food was delicious, very fresh burgers didn t feel heavy like after most burgers. Friendly staff and good selection of cocktails and local beers. Highly recommend. (Wings and chilli beef burger)
Juicy burger, their chips are unique, nomnomnom. As Many tourists in queue, reserve some more time, Honest burger deserve. Tribute burger with mustard, and chili burger is my cup of tea. Kid-friendliness: Mouth watering menu. Welcome kids
Honestly, honest burgers were, ok. Unfortunately, I wasnt blown away with the flavours and no gluten-free (celiac) bun on offer on my visit. The service was good and friendly and not too much of a wait on thr food. Food
Fresh and juicy burgers and crispy fries. I took the chicken pesto burger and it was delish! Was definitely a treat after an amazing day at Cambridge :) Food
Just a quick note to say that Kane was extremely accommodating after our huge group turned up, soaked through, last night (06 Feb). Thanks for the fries, you legend!
Very nice burger and atmosphere
Always love my honest burger I always get the special but switch to vegetarian. Worth all the calories!
Food was really tasty. Staff seemed uninterested, mens toilets were not clean. No atmosphere Vegetarian options: A couple of vegan options
After the burgers, my husband and I expected a little more... it was ok. The service was perfect, very friendly and helpful. Not much space inside.
Always lovely to come to an honest burger, good prices, fast service, nice food! Onion rings were delicious, smash burger and bacon burger as well! Toilets were absolutely a mess. Food : 5/5
Good food and servive
Took a chance on this place, well worth it, the wait was said to be 10 minutes and it was, sat on time with a lovely order and a nice set of drinks. Chips are nice as well, might order the burger a little more done next time but enjoyed it.
Never again. Medium burger was bright red on the inside, looked raw Well done was so over cooked and dry. There are better burgers and fries in the pub 5 mins away, only drawn to this place because it had burger in the name (weren t very nice though).
The burgers are seasoned to perfection, hands down the tastiest burger I have ever had!
Tasty burger but you cant book tables
Our visit last night was one huge disappointment. Long waiting time and rude service from a lady with accent. Furthermore you have to stand at the entrance waiting so not disability friendly. The burgers were fine but did not make up for the experience.
Nice place but food only average.
Poor service , staff need to know how to treat
unprofessional, rude and chips like cardboard
Best burger we have ever tasted, coupled with excellent friendly service.
Very bland. Zero seasoning and sauce.
One of the best burger, ever
Love the food and the staff are so friendly and accommodating of our young family (toddler and baby). It s now our favourite weekend lunch treat. Thank you for all your hard work Rafa and team!
Wow just Wow. we visited here January 5th. The service was Fantastic ( Grace 1974 ) from the moment we walked in my wife and i were so impressed! next time we are in cambridge so making it our first stop.
Delicious and friendly staff!
I love coming to Honest. Real sense of community spirit. Honest s concept is great, from ingredients sourced , from kitchen to table. Staff are great, always ! We always get looked after. Humbling ! Thanks Chris
Fab food with amazing service, highly recommend
Have wanted to try this place for a while & wasnt disappointed. Service was quick & friendly even though we got the last couple of spaces in the place. The food was really tasty & it was a real treat to be able to have gf onion rings! All sides are gluten free & there is a gf bun available. Veggie & vegan options too. The only niggle was the ladies toilet which was grubby, dilapidated (one of the 2 cubicles was out of order as well) & out of soap when I visited. A member of staff was very helpful & provided some handgel very quickly though. We will definitely be back for the food & service though! Parking: 5 minutes walk from the Grand Arcade car park which is free after 6pm!
Burger and chips were so tasty and I am very satisfied with the flavors. I also got the rum cocktail and it was nice and refreshing.
We popped in for some lunch while shopping in Cambridge. We were met in a warm and friendly manner and taken straight to a table. We placed our order and our food was brought out quickly. The Rosemary salted fries were delicious, but unfortunately not very hot. The burger was amazing! Cooked to perfection and very tasty. We will definitely return again, highly recommended
A burger restaurant in Cambridge. Their beef burger is special. They should be warned not to put any pork ingredients on the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm, with simple decor.
Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free food Food
Had to wait in the doorway for 25 minutes as they were busy. I am mobility impaired and would never have had access on my mobility scooter. I managed with my walking stick. It is great they have a limited menu, which makes choices simple and fast. Great quality food and non-alcoholic drinks. Very tasty and generous portions of burger meals. Fair prices, nice staff. Parking: Nearby public parking garage which has several disabled spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: Unsuitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
The burger was very tasty and the service was excellent. The place is fairly accessible, and the staff very understanding. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance has a double door one of which needs unlatching at the top, so somebody needs to let you in. Although the place is on the small side, theres plenty of room for wheeling. I spied a disabled loo, but didnt need it.
Great food great service really good Honest burger Vegetarian options: Very good choice wife very happy and glued free Food : 5/5 |
Nice place with good service and tasty food
First time here after hearing good things. It was busy, but I take that as a good sign. Service was good from all concerned. I really liked the rosemary salted chips - crispy, salty, and just enough rosemary to make them more interesting than most other places. I had the Honest burger and it was very good - actually cooked medium, nice cheese, bacon and onion relish. Just didnt quite hit the 5th star from the scarcity of pickles and it just seemed slightly small somehow. Tasted really good though!
The burger was delicious, so much so that I came back twice! The fries perfectly seasoned, and I highly recommend the Botanic Garden Gin and Tonic. Overall, one of the better burger joints in the city. I highly recommend. Pros: Incredible burgers and drinks. Cons: Limited space so expect a wait.
Chilli burger was slightly hot, which added a dash or tingly and refreshing flavour/ sense to the heavy meaty beef patty. Didn t taste much rosemary in the rosemary fries tho.
Im not a burger fan but after trying there honest burger l could be about to change my mind P .s laws in there because the crowd l was with all like burgers Food
Very good. Friendly efficient service.
I had a Brookline burguer and the Pilsner lager. Both options very good price/value. The chips were not my favorite, but definitely they are good, abundant and come with the burguer (and not as a separate order as in some other places). The only thing is that I noticed a bit of a rush to pay and leave...but totally understandable as it was Friday evening. Generally a very good option for a tasty burger
The worst managed queue Ive ever seen.
Fine, burgers and some sides are a bit small but cooked and prepared well. No real atmosphere, and the tables are quite close together.
Honest Burgers delivers deliciousness! Their juicy, flavorful patties made for a top-tier burger experience. The cozy vibe and must-try rosemary-salted chips sealed the deal.
Our family trip to Honest Burgers was a hit! It was the perfect spot for us a cozy setting that felt welcoming for both kids and adults. The menu simplicity made ordering a breeze, and the quality of their burgers amazed us all. The patties were juicy and flavorful, and the kids loved the rosemary-salted chips!

Really great food (Cambridge burger is honestly the best Ive had in a while!) . Great service (got served within like 5 mins aswell) and the staff were lovely. Would highly recommend if looking for a warm meal!
Food was delicious. Unfortunately we live 80 miles away, but will go again when we come back next year. Staff also friendly, clean inside, well priced and hot food. Easily 5*
My first time at an Honest Burgers and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and exactly as Id asked for it. Service was also friendly and prompt. 5/5 I have zero criticism.
The best burgers in the UK - at least that I ve had. Uniquely, you can get a hamburger rare or medium rare. Turns out there is a law in this country requiring burgers to be cooked to a temp. that results in at best a medium well burger; i.e. a not good burger. I am told these guys have their own beef herd and send in beef samples weekly to DEFRA to test for e - coli etc. The reward is permission to cook rare burgers. And wow! what burgers! The meat is delicious, moist and flavoursome as only grass fed cattle can be. The sides here are good; a kind of poutine ( gravy and cheese over chips) is a standout; the beer is Brooklyn lager (nice); and the staff at the Cambridge location are warm and friendly. Just a great place to grab a uniquely good burger. Go there, you won t regret it.
A little small and tight in there when you re sitting down, but everytime I ve been in there it s 5* good if you like burgers, staff are nice and polite
