Contemporary rooms & suites in a high-end hotel with free Wi-Fi, a bar & a French-style bistro.
The hotel is lovely, although bit of a rabbit warren with more than one staircase which makes it confusing! Room numbers would probably help rather than room names, plus floor numbers. One member of reception staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, the other (facial hair), really could try harder! Quite a frosty stare when I mentioned that the attic room bathroom radiator doesn’t work (it was minus one overnight). There weren’t any bath towels either, so drying off with a hand towel was quite bracing in a freezing cold bathroom!
This used to be a nice hotel, but it has gone downhill since our last stay. The prices are very much 4*, however the standard of the place has dropped and it is no better than a 3* at best. The suite we booked was shabby, wallpaper missing, there were half-eaten chocolate bars left in the room, we went to go to the bar which was supposed to be open from 3pm and it didn't open until 5pm.||In the evening we were expecting to eat in the bistro as we pre-booked, on the evening when we arrived they said there was a function on and said we had to eat in thje Library! Why they didn't inform me at time of booking or upon arrival I don't know.||The food was being trabsferred from the Bistro through the hotel to the library and service was slow and poor. They charged me for the meal even though we booked on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis and we had to argue with them to remove the charge.||On top of this, we paid the hotel £30 for car parking in a different hotel down the road, they took the money but obviously didn't follow through with any process as we today received a £100 parking fine.||Trust me, there are better 4* hotels in Cambridge than Hotel Du Vin, save some mony and receive better service elsewhere.||Incidentally, we raised all of the above point with Hotel Du Vin and unsurprisingly heard nothing back from them - which just goes to show the level of custoemr service this hotel offers.
So been and stayed in majority of HDV chain always in a suite but never checking in post 17.00 hrs been told room not ready?!! |Was absolutely knackered and told to sit in bar until it’s ready with a complimentary drink. Just at the time suffering with a cold needing to get my head down just a killer. Finally get in room and the temp was crazy high luckily once we turned it off left door open it naturally calmed down. Although we didn’t have water in room until I went to reception to get some made do with tap water🤷🏻||Breakfast though was amazing absolutely no complaints chef cooked it to perfection😉
We just checked out today, we had a wonderful 8 night stay at the Duvin which is a lovely boutique, A very lovely friendly and professional staff Kalpana who really made our stay wonderful, we initially had room which was cold and she showed many options i selected Pommery which was very nice with the private terrace, she also helped with all our luggage's, every time we cross the reception with friendly manner she asks if all is ok and double checks which is a lovely gesture. The room is spacious and lovely, I came from Wales to renew my passport and enjoy the Cambridge, Everything is walkable i got to see Fitzwilliam museum, Duxford museum, Botanical garden, Kings college and many.........For Dinner it was always in Bistro, it was amazing food but the service can be better. We will recommend to our friends and family.
I felt a sense of disorganisation about my stay and that the hotel, and dining, was all a bit “pretend posh”. Dinner on Saturday evening, 7:30, had already ran out of some servings. There was regular back and forth rechecking our orders. The wrong wine was served, too quickly for me to notice initially. I had a guest with me and neither of us felt very relaxed nor felt well looked after. Food itself was nothing I’d look forward to eating again. It was adequate, ordinary, nothing more. Sunday breakfast was okay, a bit miserly but at least the coffee was good. Unlike Monday which was a completely different experience. It was “barista” style coffee on Sunday, whereas Monday is was just self-service from a Burko. That’s all. Stale, bitter stuff which honestly makes me never want to return to this hotel, it was verging on the offensive. The breakfast itself was basically salt with a small amount of added egg. I couldn’t eat it and ended up going to a nearby cafe instead. It was just an absolutely dreadful breakfast. Another guest was complaining of cold tea. To the other side a person asked for a Cafetière of coffee and the waiter asked, “what’s that”. This is “budget level” hotel service, not the boutique hotel experience that the building, and prices, suggest. The room itself was nice, and it was comfortable, though on the downside only partially cleaned during my stay. No robes etc. though decent tea coffee making facilities. But I left the hotel disappointed and a bit confused. Given there are positive reviews, it may reflect a new downturn in fortunes or management is in process perhaps, but I certainly would not recommend to a friend and have no intention of returning.
From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with a warm welcome and the receptionist made sure we started off our stay with beautiful cocktails. We ordered The most delicious Crouque Monsieur I've ever tasted in my life. Service in the bar and restaurant was superb. So friendly. Breakfast was excellent and lovely surroundings. Couldn't fault our short stay.Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you.
Very good location and comfortable room. However, the service at the restaurant leaves much room for improvement. The waiters are students with basic building and one day there was no bread, another there was no butter, another there was no gas and the kitchen could not work, etc... the service was just unprofessional. I will never lodge in this hotel again. Besides, it is very expensive for what you get.
Had an awesome time at Hotel du Vin Cambridge! The place has loads of charm, and it was the perfect spot to unwind. Big thanks to Kai for being super quick at check-in – I was in my room in no time. Plus, they hooked me up with a free drink voucher, which was such a nice surprise and totally made my night. All in all, everything was spot on – comfy vibes, great service, and a really nice stay. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Abraham is a legend , he makes a cracking Negroni Sbagliato
Abraham is an awesome bartender!
Review for the bistro. Came here for a Christmas dinner. The vegetarian/vegan option was completely inedible. No flavor, a stodgy texture, and unliked by all veggies at the table. This was raised to staff with no apology or change. Would not recommend for a group dinner where some dont eat meat.
We had lunch today waited 1 hrs 45mins for meal.one was wrong oder service very slow and no attention to detail.
Service was great. Room have some spiderwebs and it was not clean at all.
The staff Is very kind and helpful, they make you feel at home.
Nice venue, good decor, service excellent, food absolutely bang average unfortunately
Great food ans excellent service Rooms: Fantastic beds Food and drinks: Amazing
While I only came for dinner, I can say that the service is excellent and knowledgeable as well as polite. The food also was incredible alongside an excellent array of wines.
Chicken liver Parfait in the Bistro was very good. Staff were very nice. Habiba and Kaplana are great on reception.
Incredible dinner menu at the Bistro, French cuisine and the menu designed by chef Mat Powell, there are different menu options, the curried parish soup, chicken liver parfait, schnitzel with chicken or halloumini, fillet of sea bass and most amazing one is the Gnocchiala Parisenne, wonderful service and the ambience is great. Will recommend Bistro highly.
Fab hotel, fab location......for once, service seemed a little pressured and rushed.
Such a beautiful hotel, I m not sure I ve ever slept on softer sheets or had a better deeper sleep. I would like mention the staff also, a wonderfully polite and courteous gentleman by the name of Kai; answered my questions and was very helpful. Hats off to you all!
Amazing Sunday roast, highly recommened. Thank you Mohamed and Amara for attentive service.
We booked a Classic room which I believe are the designated rooms when bringing a dog. These rooms (3 in row) were in a small courtyard area inside the hotel & each had an outdoor seating area which was nice, although we didn t use them given Nov & 2 night stay. There was also an undercover seating area, which i believe was linked more so to the meeting room which led out into courtyard. Can imagine in warmer weather might be bit noisy but a sign did stipulate 11pm was latest that the area could be used. Room was pretty clean tbf (I say that as often rooms which allow dogs can be less than desirable) and included a dog mat/bed & water bowl. Can imagine room gets hot in summer and was even the case in Nov. There was an aircon panel but this didn t seem to be working (some hotels I know deactivate this outside of summer periods). The bath rain shower was nice but did drip during the night so we had to close batrm door. £25pn night pet fee wasn t anything out of the ordinary for hotels in area, but I question what this is meant to cover & maybe should be refundable if guest leaves room in a condition that non-pet stay reg housekeeping usually covers. No sugar replaced for tea/coff which was a bit irritating to request. Parking is premium in Cambridge and consd park&ride but this comes at cost if staying onight so we parked in Princess Anne CP which cost £27 total (2 nights 3pm arr-11am dep) & 8min walk. Overall we enjoyed our stay with our JRT dog & would rtn if £ was right. Rooms: In main review Nearby activities: Lots of history and sights to see including collages (if open) and the grasshopper gold clock! Nov also times well for the German Market. Walkability: Very accessible to town centre and various colleges. Voi scooters also plentiful if that s your thing. Food and drinks: Plenty of coffee shops/bakeries etc in area including many famous Filtzbillies! Some great pubs too and we had a lovely evening at the Mill Pub near the river, fireside table and they allow dogs
Really great afternoon tea for my birthday - came for the fancy little desserts and we were not disappointed. The sandwiches and tea were also creative in the best way :) Thanks!
Me and my partner had a wonderful time; the are welcoming and friendly which made us feel so comfortable and we will be back for sure !!!
Stay in this medieval hospital and drench yourself in history.
The food was absolutely delicious, and our service by Attila equally as nice and helpful. We had a marvelous evening!
Group dinner at the HDV - absolutely delicious. Our server Attila was excellent - attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and absolutely nothing to be negative about. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Delicious food and service was very good and accommodating. Attila gave excellent recommendations and was attentive throughout. Service
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Vin in Cambridge! The room was clean, comfortable and had a lot of character. Both the restaurant and the the bar were lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the head of booking. She had excellent recommendations for me! Rooms: The room had a comfy bed and a claw foot bathtub, both of which were very welcome for this weary traveler. Nearby activities: The Fitzwilliams museum was a great recommendation by the booking coordinator. Walkability: The town is very walkable. Look out for bikers, but overall scenic and pleasant.
We had a lovely 1 night stay in one of the Suites here, and the room was gorgeous. I cant fault it at all. The view was rubbish, but that was about it. We didnt eat in the resturant or use the bar so cant comment on those as we had pre planned arrangements elsewhere, however in the morning we ordered the breakfast to our room and it was lovely, they gave us everything we asked for. My only issue with this hotel is the location and the cost to use their rented car park £30 for the night is mental. But they know if you arrive with a car you arent left with much choice, however this is still probably cheaper than parking elsewhere in Cambridge.
Excellent destination, food and service. Highly recommend Sunday Lunch!
Food and drinks: We had an amazing dining experience at the Hotel Du Vin Bistro. The taster menu was exceptional each course was delicious, with the mussels being a standout. The extensive wine menu is impressive, and I d highly recommend asking the server for pairing recommendations they really know their wines! The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cosy and sophisticated, making it ideal for a special occasion. But if youre looking for something more casual, their lunch menu is also fantastic and reasonably priced. We also went to the wine bar downstairs for some cocktails prior to dinner highly recommend!
I ve stayed at a few Hotel du Vins, and this one is really good. The breakfast was delicious something I hadn t tried before. Amara looked after us so well. Big thanks to Kalpana and Kai at the front desk for the warm welcome. One suggestion: the room could update the sockets. I d definitely come back!
Great location, very nicely decorated. Wine cellar and bar area are really cool. Room was a bit warm and AC didnt seem to work too well but it was quite hot outside so. Theres no parking available on this location, but they do have an agreement with a nearby hotel for parking.
Fantastic service from Attila. Brilliant cocktails and very friendly and helpful. Nearby activities: Town centre location Walkability: Town centre location
Atilla and staff were fabulous! Great way to spend the last day of my 30s! Excellent service and so friendly.
Attila was extremely accommodating and polite to our group and crafted some beautiful cocktails. Would recommend this hotel for everyone!!
I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin in Cambridge and, while the experience was overall pleasant, there are a few areas where improvement is needed. The hotel has a charming, classic feel, but some parts are beginning to look a bit outdated and could benefit from a refresh to maintain its appeal. However, the highlight of my stay was the warm and welcoming service from Kai and Kalpana. Their hospitality, along with the thoughtful gesture of a complimentary drink voucher, really made my night enjoyable. With a bit of modern touch-up, this hotel could be a real gem. Thanks again to the wonderful staff for making the stay memorable!
Hotel du vin was fabulous for our needs. Id like to mention Attila our server at the bar. He was fabulous and so knowledgeable. He made the stay so lovely that I passed onto my parents that they need to stay here and ask for him! He knows his wines and made sure we were taken care of. Visit hotel du vin for Attilas service! Food and drinks: Attila was fabulous! Best server and made our time at HDV the BEST!
We had a great time at Hotel Du Vin. The location is very convenient for access to the town of Cambridge and surrounding colleges. We very much enjoyed the services at the hotel, especially the cellar bar managed by the stellar Attila. He recommended we try the Chateaubriand in the restaurant, which was lovely and quite nice portion! Will recommend HDV to friends and family when they visit. Food and drinks: Attila was great
Great stay and Atilla looked after us in the bar! Breakfast was good with excellent service from Amara! Would reccomend.
Great location, lovely hotel to stay in, lovely staff. Would definitely stay again.
God stay and staffs are wonderful & helpful especially Kalpana
Ive stayed at 2 hotels du vins before and I found this one a little underwhelming in terms of the room - comfortable yes, but tired and I thought expensive for just 1 night - Bistro meal in the evening was fabulous and breakfast also very very good, just let down by the room really, poor for the price. I did see the same room available for £100 less the day before we travelled so perhaps thats the way to go if we want to stay in cambridge in the future
Attlila was the best thank u it was very good
My wife and stayed here for four nights during which time we met many members of staff, all were friendly, courteous and helpful but above all they were charming, a rare experience in todays World.
Had afternoon tea at the bistro. The food was divine, the pastries were very good. The atmosphere in the bistro was very calm but the air was filled with delicious smells! Attila was very attentive and friendly. We had a special dietary requirement (halal) and the bistro was happy to accomodate. Definitely worth the visit.
Food and drinks: We had a breakfast with Hotel Du Vin. We had arrived 20 minutes after closing but, Attila, checked with the chef and put us at a nice table with a view. Attila was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed during our breakfast experience. He provided excellent service. Will come back again. Service
I visited the Bistro du Vin for an afternoon tea and pudding. It was very lovely; Attila was extremely attentive, very friendly, and accommodating in every way. He made my afternoon unwinding experience that much more enjoyable. The overall environment was charming and quiet for a Sunday afternoon, while the tea and pudding were utterly delightful- something that s occasionally hard to find here in Cambridge when there s so much hustle and bustle out on a beautiful day like today. I enjoyed a lovely petite platter of scones, crème brûlée, and a dark chocolate mousse with a chantilly cream on top. Each treat was nothing short of excellently prepared, but my favorite was the crème brûlée. It was that perfect balance of sweet and light, without being too overbearing.
We really annoyed our afternoon tea at the bistro at Hotel du Vin. They had a modern twist on traditional sandwiches which were great. Quite a lot of food was included but luckily it did not come to waste as they offered takeaway bags for leftover food!
We had a wonderful breakfast, everything was wonderful. The perfect service, I really appreciate Attilas attention, thank you very much for everything. We will definitely go back to this place.
Service and food are very good. attila is the best!! Food and drinks: Food is very good Rooms : 5/5 |
I recently had a lovely meal . Thank you Mohamed and Abraham for the lovely service Rooms: . Nearby activities: . Safety: . Walkability: . Food and drinks: .
The dinning place is amazing, thanks Mohamed for serving us, he is super friendly and made our dining experience incredible, definitely will come back.
Thanks for the amazing experience, I want to say a special thank you for Mohamed and Abraham.
We had an amazing lunch in the bistro, I really recommend it to everyone. We liked the athmosphere and the service very much. If I have to describe our overall experience in three words: quality, quality, quality. We were especially amazed by the beautiful flowers outside which made the athmosphere even better. I ve read that this hotel is classically French and undeniably British and I absolutely agree. To sum up in my opinion it is worth to visit this hotel and its bistro, because it gave us a special treatment. Thank you for the staff. Food and drinks: The food was excellent and mouthwatering. Noteworthy details: The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Ive spent a lovely time at Hotel du Vin. The quality of the food was incredible and I enjoyed eating the special dishes although Im a picky person. The atmosphere was fabulous and the style of the hotel is inimitable. I recommend it to everyone!!
Room was OK, with exceptions noted below. Within easy walking distance of the Colleges and river Rooms: It was impossible to read by the bedside lights in our room. Weak bulb and non functional dimmer switches on both units Walkability: The hotel offer parking ( £30 a night) at the Graduate hotel which is half a mile away! Ok if it is fine and you are able to walk that far.
Used this venue to host meetings for two days. The venue is nice if a little cramped. The service was fine on the first day, but fell down on the second day, seemingly due to a staff shortage. Multiple beverage orders were taken and then not delivered, to the point that we were told just to go get the order ourselves from the machine in the restaurant
The restaurant service is excellent, NOELIA serves breakfast very friendly, efficient and fast. Its cute. Recommendable.
Lovely room and staff were so friendly also great location for our 3 night break
The whole team at Hotel du Vin -Cambridge was amazing! We have a fabulous stay and everyone one was behind helpful. We look forward to our next stay!
Comfortable room, kind and professional staff and excellent kitchen!!!
One comes to a hotel in the UK from another country, one expects standard UK electrical outlets. When one expects to stay exclusively in the UK, one doesn t bring other country electrical adapters for their devises. But, if you stay here, you will be sorely disappointed. There is only one UK outlet in the room and it s over the desk. The other outlets are worthless if you want a UK connection near your bed. For instance, if you rely on a CPAP, forget it if you don t have the right connections. Want your phone or watch to charge on your nightstand so you can use its alarm? Nope! You are on your own.
We had a lovely stay in Cambridge at the Hotel du Vin. The room was spacious and clean, although perhaps some of the hotel was a little tired. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were warm and friendly. Nearby activities: Close to Cam and punting options. Fairly short walk into the hustle and bustle. Noteworthy details: Great breakfast.
I had lunch at the Bistro at this hotel and it was amazing. The food was delicious and our waitress Amara was so nice and friendly. Brilliant quick service and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
The food was great and arrived very quickly. There was a great atmosphere and our waiter Attila was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and we will 100% be coming back. 10/10.
We had afternoon tea at the Bistro. The veggie choices were very basic and there was not enough savoury but too many sweet options. Scones were a bit hard. But the customer service by our waiter Attila was excellent and made it a pleasant experience All staff were friendly
Attila was brilliant and was incredibly helpful serving us all. The whole experience was brilliant and made better by the brilliant service from the staff. Food and drinks: Very good

**Hotel Du Vin, Cambridge - A Perfect Stay!** I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Du Vin in Cambridge, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an incredibly polite and helpful gentleman at the check-in desk. Unfortunately, I am not sure about his name, Kai ?, but he was very tall and his warm welcome made us feel right at home. He provided us with all the information we needed and more, ensuring our stay got off to a perfect start. The breakfast at Hotel Du Vin is truly exceptional. Having traveled extensively and stayed at many hotels worldwide, I can confidently say that the breakfast here ranks among the best. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and it was a real treat to start each day with such a delicious and well-prepared meal. Our room was amazing spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall ambiance of the room made it a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring Cambridge. In summary, there is nothing negative to say about our stay at Hotel Du Vin. Everything from the service to the amenities was top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cambridge. We cant wait to return!
Amara gave us service with a smile and was so helpful. She met us at breakfast and was so very welcoming and accommodating. Just wonderful
I recently visited the hotel bar and the atmosphere was welcoming, creating a perfect setting for a fun evening. The drinks were excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!
terrific service. otirlo was very attentive. the chateaubriand was magnifique!
Delicious food and wine. Excellent service. Well Considered wine pairings. Great value. I would strongly recommend. Food and drinks: Excellent
I really enjoy my time at Hotel Du Vin. The staff made me feel really welcome especially Attila. Thank you so much for everything and the amazing service. I will definitely go back there again for sure.
Beautiful hotel, and great attentive staff. Attila looked after us and provided a first class service on our wedding anniversary. Rib eye steak upgrade on our lunch was absolutely sublime! Thank you Rooms
The staff couldnt have been more accommodating. The room (junior suite - Robert) was amazing. Comfy pillows and bed, the softest sheets, lovely deep bath, huge shower with LOccitane shower products, soft towels, separated WC. The TV rotates so you can watch it whilst in the roll top bath. The food and cocktails were both delicious. We stayed for my birthday so were given an extra drinks voucher each. The cocktails were delicious and breakfast the next day was spot on. Top quality ingredients, really friendly and accommodating staff. Well be back! Loved it, worth every penny.
One of the best brunches Ive ever had in Cambridge -- I am still thinking about the sautéed mushrooms and creme brûlée. Our table by the window was so lovely and I especially appreciated the service by Attila, who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He was friendly and helpful and even helped accommodate some of our more particular requests. I wish I could award beyond five stars just for that! I hope to come back soon!
Had the best lunch experience! The food was great and the staff, especially Atilla, was particularly attentive and helped us find the perfect dessert! Would recommend
Very enjoyable one night stay. Room was very comfortable with excellent shower. Breakfast was also excellent. Special mention to CSilla who made me very welcome and for accommodating request for early check-in. A very enjoyable stay.
I came in as a mystery guest to this Bistro to try few drinks and the experience was wonderfull. I had The Pina Colada and strawberry splitz, the drinks were perfectly on time and wonderfully made. The ambience was amazing and the service was great. The bartender was kind enough to offer me snacks along with the drinks. Atilla the manager is lovely and a great addition to their team. Kalpana and Scilla the managers at reception were so kind and gentle throughout my time at the Bistro. Id recommend this place for anyone whos looking to have a drink in a cosy cool pub.
Had a fabulous afternoon tea at hotel du vin! Delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes, and the service was brilliant. Amara and Attila were very attentive and friendly, we will definitely be back!
Amazing stay and pleasant staff, Kalpana at the reception and Attila at the restaurant was so helpful through our stay. Wonderful people makes us come back. My mother was especially impressed with Kalpanas service and she helped moving rooms and making sure she is comfortable and checking if we are ok. Amazing staffs you have got. Its centre of Cambridge heart and our next visit we will book here only.
I came here as a mystery guest, warm greetings from Kalpana at the reception and was guided to bar, Dario the bartender was amazing with absolute fantastic service and delivered us super tasty cocktails (Mojitos and daiquiris .) The ambience is great and it was clean and tidy, followed by Attila the Bistro Manager was amazing and great asset to the team. I will recommend my friends to the bar.
Perfect, perfect, perfect. I booked Hotel du Vin as a surprise for my wifes birthday. We arrived 2 hours early for check in to find our suite was available which was a big bonus and got the day started very well. The reception team were superb and made the check-in process smooth. We were then shown to our amazing room which ticked all the boxes for the wife. Very classy decor with the most comfy of beds & pillows with a downstairs separate bathroom. We were half board so also had the pleasure of dining in the bistro where we again found superb staff and we both loved the decor inside the bistro. With amazing food and the best service possible in some of the nicest settings we have eaten in we both have nothing but high praise and want to send a big thank you to everyone at Hotel du vin in Cambridge. Bravo!
Kelle and Martina, together with the rest of the Hotel du Vin staff made my husband s special celebration at the end of June such a wonderful occasion. All of our guests commented on the privacy and ambiance of the terrace where everyone had time to gather, chat and share pre-dinner drinks, but also on the wonderful intimacy and comfort of the Library. The food and service were excellent throughout, with all of our guests needs met. As one of the coeliacs in our party, I was very appreciative of the gluten free menu options we were able to choose from as we built the menu for our guests. We hope our table moving between courses wasn t a complete nightmare for the team, and really appreciate their perseverance, as for us it added a wonderful dimension to an already fantastic evening. Thank you too for keeping our son s appearance from overseas a secret from my husband, his arrival was a very special moment. Emma
Attila in the bistro was very kind. A colleague arrived in the restaurant later than me so our meals came at different times. Attila sent me a complimentary desert so I wouldnt feel left out, it was a nice gesture. Rooms: Very comfortable bed, pillows and duvet.
I recently stayed at Hotel Du Vin for the first time, and it was an excellent experience. Special thanks to Kai for the drink voucher, which added a lovely touch to our evening. The stay was fantastic, breakfast delicious and I would return in the future.
Had the absolute best experience dining in the bistro, the food was incredible and the service was amazing. Highly recommend the ribeye steak for lunch, and the poire belle hélène sundae and blood orange & rhubarb trifle make great desserts to share. The interior of the bistro was also very elegant. Thank you to AhiLa our server, he gave amazing recommendations and specially plated our food. When he saw that we were taking photos, he even prepared tables outside for us and gave us free drinks to have our desserts at. This was definitely one of the best meals we ve had in Cambridge, we will absolutely be returning to try their afternoon tea and bar.
Overpriced
Excellent food, drinks and service. The atmosphere is great, fancy but still very comfortable. 5/5 - highly recommended.
We had a fantastic lunch here! The food was a truly excellent example of French cuisine! Cooked to perfection and the staff was all lovely and thoroughly looked after us. Special shout out to Attila for the excellent service! You won t be disappointed!
I enjoyed my 2 nights stay at this charming hotel in a most picturesque part of Cambridge. The room was comfortable and tasteful without being over the top, and there was a sustainability option which is important to me. Most of all, the staff were very friendly and genuinely helpful. I forgot my plug adapter and they went out of their way to find me options and make everything work before my presentation. Truly kind people and a lovely place!
We hosted a dinner for a small group of experts from around the world at Hotel du Vin and truly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent, service amazing, and the rooms provide the Cambridge experience. Special thanks to Attila for overseeing the operations at dinner and Kelle for organizing the booking. Very grateful to them both for the wonderful event!
Great Points: - Location: Fantastic. Walkable to almost everywhere in Cambridge, making it incredibly convenient. - Comfort: The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and my room at the back of the hotel was quiet, ensuring a restful night. - Staff: The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding a warm touch to the stay. Areas for Improvement: - Room Decor: Some elements were a bit worn out, like scratches and dents on the desk, and scum around the sink hole. - Hotel Front: The front of the hotel needed attention; flags were tatty, flowerpots were empty and filled with rubbish and cigarette butts. - Breakfast: Breakfast was average and didn t offer good value for money. The service was also inconsistent, with friendly staff one moment and indifferent the next. - Bar Cleanliness: The bar downstairs was not well-looked after, with tables cluttered with empty glasses, rubbish, and even a Pret bag. Overall, while the hotel has some great aspects, it could benefit from attention to detail and improved maintenance. Is there a GM?
A Wonderful breakfast and service! Amara was fantastic! Highly recommended!
Fantastic stay at this lovely hotel, close to everything in Cambridge. Csilla was especially helpful on arrival and advising us where to go. Will definitely stay again Rooms
Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Du Vin. The staff made me feel really welcome. The food was delicious and they accommodated to my dietary needs. The accommodation was comfortable and stylish. Thank you Kai for the amazing stay!
We had a lovely dinner here last weekend, delicious menu and Atta and his team were charming and helpful. We would not hesitate to go back!
Thank you Amara for looking after our celebration event so well - nothing was too much trouble - and the canapés and champagne perfect
Thanks you for the hospitality. It is very high standard. I love the restaurant, the breakfast and dinner were brilliant!!
The hotel is perfectly located. I particularly enjoyed the evening meal. The diner menu was great and tasty, the staff were lovely as well. I will come back for sure :) Rooms : 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great customer service. Csilla who greeted us on reception was incredible. Helpful and professional. Rooms
Walkability: Easy town access Rooms
Wonderful stay, the staff are very welcoming and helpful Rooms: The rooms have a luxury feel, beautifully styled and very comfortable and clean Rooms : 5/5 |
We had our wedding here and the staff were completely amazing! Especially Martina who helped organise everything. The food was delicious and everyone was so helpful. Thanks!!
The team put together a great private dining experience for 17 in the Lombard room. It looked perfect and the food was excellent. The team were very mindful of our specific requests and everything was seamless. The only minor issue was that the room was very warm. But better that than cold! Thank you so much on behalf of Cambridge&.
Went for lunch at Hotel Du Vin Cambridge and upon walking into the Bistro there was 1 person on the floor currently serving someone else and I felt ignored for about 3 or 4 minutes I just stood there. Service eventually arrived. Service itself was good. I was served by Amara who seemed to be doing all the floor service. Service was quick and efficient and I came in as a solo for lunch and her service was great. Food was nothing amazing but I was just having the mushroom risotto, not because Im vegan but because it sounded really nice! It was nothing to write home about, but filling and that was a good thing. Quick in and out lunch but if felt like Amara was run off her feet with no other lunch cover. Walkability: Walking distance to Cambridge centre just nicely off the main walk ways from tourists! Food and drinks: Food nothing to write home about. But filling.
We had a lovely lunch at the Bistro - only issue was the portions were too big for us!
Not a very good experience considering the price. Good things: quite centrally located, nice loccitaine cosmetics in the bathroom, staff very friendly and nice aesthetic. Bad things: we had a drink in the bar in the evening and some very drunk people came in, kicking off at each other and swearing at each other and also became violent. The staff did nothing except suggest they leave. This went on for over half an hour, they were very aggressive, very loud, and it was really not ok that they didnt get removed from the place. The room we had was noisy, not a lot of soundproofing, could hear everything in the corridor, headboard loose so every time you move it hits the wall, pillows went totally flat overnight so woke up with a very sore back, room very very hot and loud AC if youre a light sleeper. Also the mattress is not supportive, it dips and you feel pulled towards the heavier person. Bathroom temp not controllable, tried to switch the radiator off but a lot of water started coming out! Curtains let the light in at the side and the wardrobe light contacts were broken so wardrobe light on all night. There was also a loud background noise of ventilators or something all night. Wouldnt stay again.
I had a delightful stay at Hotel du Vin Cambridge - 3 nights. The welcome on arrival by Kai was warm, friendly and helpful. He continued to provide great service during my stay. My room was lovely - very stylish. Gr eat shower! The only negative thing I can say is that there was only one power socket I could use for phone charging , hairdryer etc and to use that I had to unplug a lamp - this was not ideal. I enjoyed two dinners and three breakfasts all of which were great - although there seemed to be some difficulties on my last breakfast Noella did a sterling job covering a role that was not hers. Location is fantastic . I hope to return.
Very large bathroom and comfy room, but the best part was the Chateaubriand.
We had a really nice business dinner in a private room. The location is really nice with a traditional British look and feel. The service was superb. I arrived late from the airport and the staff did a great job in still providing me an excellent meal. Thank you.
We held a business dinner for 14 people in the Lombard room and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Attila! The room was beautiful and the food and wine were excellent. Definitely recommend.
Popped in for a night as working in the area. Room was very nice and meal was lovely. Attila takes great care of you during dining experience. Would happily visit again.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Vin. Great location and easy to walk everywhere. The service at the front desk was fantastic - I didn t get her name I am sorry. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and very good block out blinds. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again!
Stayed one night mid week and it was very much fit for purpose. Nice room, good bed and clean bathroom. I think their name was Amara at breakfast. Very kind and welcoming first thing in the morning. Good breakfast though the continental side could have had some simple ham and/or cheese!
Great service, beautiful rooms. Looking forward to my next stay
Du vin was a wonderful. Had a great drink in the bar downstairs, and Musalina at the reception was extremely efficient at checking me in. Definitely recommend for a short stay in Cambridge.
We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful - particularly Musalina Walkability: Great distance from central Cambridge University
Such a nice place for a drink and goid food! Mohamed was so friendly and professional. He guided us through the selection of wines and he picked for us the perfect one. We will definitely be back.
Alleyway was a bit small, but the rooms were spacious. In the heart of University of Cambridge area
Very nice service and delicious food.
Staff are all really friendly and helpful at the HdV and go out of their make to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is really handy for the City Centre, Colleges, shopping and theatres. The hotel feels like it needs a bit of a freshen up, carpets a bit thread bare and paint colour definitely 10-15 years out of date. Room facilities good and beds comfortable, we had an issue with not having a tv remote but this was partially resolved quite quickly. The breakfast offering was broad with a good selection of continental and cooked offerings. We ate dinner in the bistro and the ribeye steaks were perfectly cooked and really tasty. Would return for the central location and excellent service from the staff. Hotel and rooms just need a bit of a freshen up! Rooms: We booked a premium suite and while it was perfectly comfortable with all the modern facilities, the decor was a little bit tired and definitely in need of a freshen up. Walkability: 2 minutes walk from The Fitzwilliam Museum and 5 minutes from Kings College. Food and drinks: Breakfast selection good and for dinner if you like your steaks the Chef knows how to cook a steak to order!
This place was stunning with a perfect location
1 star is only for the poor website, lack of pictures ..I want to book the cinema room again but it s not obvious on the website and the chat system is awful get business WhatsApp you need to be personable no one wants to use that terrible chat system
This hotel is a charming place, full of history and a touch of high class amenities. The bedding is just amazing! The premises are old but that is what it gives it the charm. The bath amenities are from LOccitane brand! The breakfast is served a la carte next door, in the bistro and it is really good, made by a jovial and wonderful Romanian chef.
We went for a family brunch this morning. The food was delicious and they were very flexible when I ordered slightly off menu. I ve stopped short of giving a full 5 stars because of the service. In spite of booking ahead there was no table laid up for us when we arrived and we waited whilst they cleared & wiped down the table we selected. They started to clear away the buffet as well as the dishes on our table whilst we were still eating and it left us with the feeling that they were in a hurry for us to leave. Apart from that, the cooked breakfast and French toast were delicious
Spent 3 nights here at the end of January, we enjoyed our stay, just a couple of small things let it down, found a bedside light not working and a pair of shoes in the wardrobe belonging to the guests before us. There were plenty of coffee and tea choices , but only 4 little milk cartons, had to ask for extra milk twice during our stay . The staff here are good and very friendly, especially Dario and Nieve in the bar
We stayed at Hotel Du Vin - Cambridge last Sunday for my husbands 60th birthday and what a treat! The staff were attentive responding well to questions and requests. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked of essentials that are complimentary and access to a mini bar with clear pricing if you wanted wine, beer soft drinks or snacks. We had booked a taster menu, with 5 courses and wine that compliments the different courses. All the Bistro staff were attentive without crowding, Peter especially made our experience by explaining the choices of wine and why they were chosen before leaving us the enjoy each course. After the meal we spent some time in the bar area where again the staff created a welcoming and relaxed environment, making suggestions of drinks when asked again showing strong knowledge of what they can offer to complete your evening including an interesting selection of cocktails. In the morning the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for such a fantastic experience, we will definitely be back again!!!! Well done The Cambridge Team. Rooms: The room was beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked of essentials that are complimentary and access to a mini bar with clear pricing if you wanted wine, beer soft drinks or snacks
Hotel ideally located. Friendly staff Great breakfast
Bistro only: overpriced food and average service. The appetiser, entrées and mains were good but very expensive. The cafe gourmand was absolutely awful and the wine was subpar. Staff was polite enough but timing was off with entrées coming at the same time as the appetiser and then waiting a long time for the mains with sauces and wines being forgotten. Its alright for a night out but definitely not as fancy as its made out to be and certainly not to French standards.
A one night stay on a deal that included champagne in the room, dinner and breakfast. Room was great (once we figured out the heating); restaurant meal was fine (some supplements to the deal prices unsurprisingly); staff throughout were wonderful. We had an email saying that breakfast was until 11am but it turned out that was incorrect so we d missed it. We were refunded in a flash and recommended a wonderful cafe down the road. All in a really nice experience - thank you.
Excellent for all
Bar review only: went for a few cocktails on a Thursday night. The barman was attentive, and there is a lovely cigar smoking area that we took advantage of. The downside was that we went to the bar to order a bottle of Pol Roger smf they no longer serve it despite displaying it
Nice Hotel with outstanding staff.
Great quality value and service! Definitely coming back asap!
Booked for director to stay at. When he got there (as the hotel had been advised late on Sunday night) there was no-one to provide dinner (or even a quick sandwich). Kitchen staff were in but refused to provide anything. Upon booking no one advised that restaurant would not be available. Not very satisfactory, so although the room was clean etc. the welcome was not! If kitchen closes at a specific time then that should be made crystal clear at booking stage - I would have found somewhere else for my director had I known.
This hotel is in literally the best location in Cambridge. It is opposite the Fitzwilliam museum and just down a bit from the market square and Kings Parade. The hotel itself is very quiet and the staff are laid back. The breakfast is excellent. I took a star off for the rooms because there was something in both rooms that was just a little awkward. Light not working in one and no light at all on dressing table in the other but these arent awful problems! I love this hotel.
A real gem of internal designing. Brilliant rooms
Paid £400 for 2 rooms and no water, no toothbrush. Cant even have a shower or brush my teeth or flush the toilet. The lady told me the handy man was coming and she cant say if there will be water at all in the hotel. Basically no shower, no brushing teeth and no go to toilet until water came no one knows when itd come. Ridiculous!!!!
Bottles
Great for Cambridge Judge Business students.
fantastic hotel very professional. The night receptionist Mr Yohan was very polite and gave me the information i had needed and more like when breakfast was and served. and all the other services the hotel has to offer and more. rooms were on point clean and smart. beds are comfortable breakfast selection was plentiful. will be come back for another stay in the future.
Great service here, really enjoyed the bar! all the staff were friendly, Yohan was especially helpful with my questions! Would recommended:)
Great hotel set in an amazing location within Cambridge, made it extremely easy to get around and see all the sights during my stay. Comfy bed and good cocktails from the bar. I arrived late but Yohan the night receptionist was especially polite and useful in giving me recommendations for the local area, especially suggesting his favourite place, a little brewery called Regal
My partner booked our stay last minute and could only get a twin room. When we arrived the lovely man told us he had changed us to another room where the beds were made into a double which was lovely. Really handy location ,where we went for dinner and had a couple of drinks in the hotels bar. Breakfast was lovely too. Clean room, great service and polite friendly staff. Special thank you to the night supervisor, Yohan I believe
Splendid and wonderful
Food and drinks: Had friends wedding reception here and the food and service were excellent. Service
A comfortable hotel close to the centre of Cambridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are a little bit tired and the food in the restaurant not quite as wonderful as you might hope - especially considering the prices charged. There isn t any parking at the hotel. Parking at the public car park on Parker s Piece is a short walk away and quite reasonably priced (£20 for a weekend).
We attended a private function in one of the reception rooms, but did not stay in this hotel. The facilities we accessed were excellent, well presented and warm. While the building is old it has been extensively renovated and the results are excellent. The food was excellent, well prepared and presented. The service was unobtrusive and efficient. A very pleasant experience all round.
My husband and I recently visited Cambridge and stayed here for two nights. The staff was incredibly helpful, stored our luggage before check-in and moved it into our room when it was available. Our room was toward the back of the hotel, with a view over a courtyard, so it was very quiet. The room and bathroom were spacious, with lovely high quality bedding and linens. We also enjoyed the breakfast, with lots of choices on the continental buffet and cooked breakfast options from the menu. The hotel is in a convenient location in Cambridge and is a short walk to the center centre. We had a rental car that we were able to park out front of the hotel (hourly rate parking spot during day time hours). We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to others.
Disappointing! Bistro review only! Go to the Ivy instead! Arrived at the hotel bar which was closed until 5pm! So we went next door to Browns and spent over £100 on drinks so wasted opportunity. We arrived to an empty bistro and no member of staff in there to greet us. When the waiter finally arrived there was no offer to take our coats which we then had to put on the back of our chairs after being outside in the rain. The food I have to say was excellent we did enjoy the three courses, BUT there is a lack of attention to detail. The table wasn t set properly I was missing a fork which we had take from another table as the waiter didn t notice after our starters. The waiter was pleasant and nice enough but was a very odd experience being the only ones in the restaurant this is at 2pm on a Saturday! And we were the only ones in there when we left at 4 as another couple arrived. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom. Whilst the food was good, the experience was underwhelming and for the same price you can have great food, impeccable service and all the attention to details if you go to the Ivy, sorry but we would not return. If I was the hotel manager I would also be extremely concerned that their restaurant was empty on a Saturday.
Luxurious hotel with friendly staff and very nice rooms!
My partner and I had a delightful evening in the bistro and bar. Our waiter was charming and very knowledgable about the wines we ordered. The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was outstanding.
Hotel du Vin is excellent: large antique building, neat, comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast in a very nice room. What was missing were the coffee and tea facilities that are almost standard in an English hotel. And they are very economical with the towels.
The service was poor because they didnt have enough people serving. The two starters were cold and main dishes just warm and disappointing. Service
Great service in the bar and lovely drinks!!
Good. Nice old building, quite maze-like and entertaining to navigate. Feels ever so slightly tired, could use some freshening up, but comfortable and with courteous, efficient staff.
Welcoming staff and good service. Classic room was fine but lacking of atmosphere/deco or art wall. It was Nice to get free drinks for being green guests. No bike avail for guests.
Try the port flight for dessert. Promise, you wont regret.
Eccentric, quirky, very French hotel, presumably carved out of preexisting buildings. Comfortable, cosy, with very welcoming and very helpful staff. Good breakfasts, good range of choice at dinner. Excellent location very close to main Cambridge sights. A bit pricey, but this is Cambridge. Noteworthy details: Hotel in excellent location.
Cocktail perfection. Once again you deliver excellent customer service and a refined drink. Many thanks.
We had dinner in the Bistro, service was excellent. Menu was very typical French which was good to see. Good selection of pre-dinner drinks as well as wine options. Accommodating to children. Dessert was very rich but a good finish to dinner. Thankyou for your hospitality. Food and drinks: Good options available
Came here unexpectedly with a group. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back again. Walkability: Centrally located, many within walking distance. Food and drinks: Fantastic. Came unexpectedly with a group and were still able to dine a la carte.
Lovely cellar bar. Lots of cosy alcoves and booths for drinking. Very helpful quick service.
Great Cambridge City center Hotel. Very short stroll to city action areas. Large room with very comfortable bed and great bed linen. We will be back
Lovely stay.. can t wait to visit again
The Cellar Bar is fabulous! Located in the basement of this boutique hotel the cocktails did not disappoint! A cozy setting with an extensive range of cocktails and wines! A lovely treat and lovely service!
A good hotel, beds are excellent (took the eco option not to have beds made up, towels replaced etc) so cant comment to rest of service. Location is perfect for exploring the sites Rooms
We loved the location but the deluxe bedroom fell short of expectations. The window had a metal frame on the outside interlaced with artificial ivy, which meant we couldn t see out, and it didn t open. The hotel air con fans outside of our bedroom were very noisy and the inside air con was noisy and inefficient. A shoddy clean meant there were hairs left in bath & sink and we only had one bathrobe. We reported this but weren t offered another. Disappointing and definitively overpriced.
Visited Hotel du Vin a few weeks back with a colleague on a work trip. We had a fantastic stay with a great welcome and feeling well looked after. The staff were incredibly useful and went the extra mile to ensure we knew our way around the city and became acquainted with some of the bars of the area. As we were from out of town, we didnt know the local customs and traditions, some of the staff were quick to step up and make sure we safe at all times and didnt get taken advantage of. Bravery at its finest. Hope to come back to soon and experience the Hotel du Vin hospitality again
Very hospitable thank you for the early check in and everything very good
Hotel du Vin was so fantastic! Great location and room/bed was lovely. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful ! We will definitely stay here again when visiting Cambridge. Thank you for a lovely stay!!
Nice and central and great old building
No elevator/lift
Pleasant hotel. Slightly quirky layout. Comfortable rooms - mine had a bath and a shower, which I like, and a decent coffee machine. The staff were friendly. My only grumble is that for a place called Hotel du Vin its surprisingly difficult to get them to provide residents with a drink, after the bar closes. Walkability: In the middle of Cambridge.
An excellent experience for a drinks event at this Hotel. Service was fantastic - Abraham in particular was kind, helpful, and proactive in his work.
good service, nice courtyard to kiss your Mrs out the back Food was 7 out of 10 drinks are a bit pricey. Overall I would definitely come back Food and drinks: 10 minutes walk away is the Eagle Pub good atmosphere, nice beers, Always go for the fish and chips everything else A bit suspect!!!
Lovely room (with some little flaws), but the bistro really lets it the whole place down. Awful atmosphere with unprofessional staff in the evening boasting about how much money they make out of the customers! The food was ok, and thats being polite. Breakfast staff were better, but I wished I had given the full English breakfast a miss it was awful! At £400 + £30 for parking (at a different hotel) + extra surcharges on the menu, all in all, its overpriced! I wont comment further on the other antics we witnessed here, but we wouldnt go back and wished we had booked somewhere else for our end of honeymoon treat. All comments were communicated to the hotel, and we did get an apology, but it fell short especially when we still had extra surcharges on top for the poor food we didnt eat. For future customers i would really think twice before you book the bistro for a special occasion, and if youre coming via car, look at other hotels close by with parking as you dont find out about the £30 parking charge (at a different hotel) until you get there.
Very nice hotel great bistro parking it limited to 2 hours
Terrible staff on reception, in particular one very rude lady. Disorganised and poor service. Would not stay again.
Stayed with a group late November 2023. My room was OK, but others had problems, such as plant noise, ceiling lights fusing, sound of rushing water. The carpets needed a good clean and some were frayed and needed replacing. We dined here twice and the first meal was substandard. The second was fine - beef was probably their best main. Wine was expensive for what it was. Bar was closed. Reception and breakfast staff were fine, but staff at dinner could only take one wine order at a time! All in all this place needs tlc. Location is off centre. If I returned, I would probably opt for the Hilton which is more centrally located. I like quirky hotels, but that shouldnt mean dirty and worn out carpets etc.
My nieces husband arranged a surprise birthday party at this hotel bar sometime ago and it was the MOST awful experience for all the guests, who had travelled from all over the place! There was suppose to be some canapés that s were vegetarian and gluten free, as requested. But instead served non gluten free and salmon as vegetarian, I mean we are living in vegan society now since when did salmon become vegetarian. You can forgive on canapés, as most hadn t eaten but we couldn t even order bar food, which we were told would be served till late. In the end my niece s husband had to order pizzas from outside! Which again the staff sent away when the order was delivered and he had to reorder! Don t even start on the bar, from the drinks menu a group of us ordered a bottle of Sauvignon blanc they didn t have it, then we ask for a chardonnay - which are most common drink wines people drink- again they didn t have it, we ask for cocktails for expresso martini and they didn t have the ingredients, they didn t have tomato juice for Bloody Mary, they didn t have any sort of decent beer, they had IPA beer and they ran out after couple of rounds!!! On top of that when the guests said to the barman why was the bar not stocked up or food wasn t served as ordered, they said - the day before was a Friday and that is why nothing is available! Knowing full well that a party of 40-50 people were coming in advance and nothing was planned! Everyone s opinions was it s the WORST experience and that it didn t feel like a party, everyone Left hungry, and without drinks they preferred or good experience of HOTEL DU VIIN brand @Manager I hope you sack the F&B manager and most of all you lost revenues in drinks and food!!! As there were some people who wanted to seriously party because of the birthday and Christmas ..alot of people said they be wouldn t using this hotel again!!!!! My cousins husband arranged a surprise birthday party at this hotel and it was the most atrocious experience!! I will never return and warn others to stay away! The guests had travelled from all over the UK to be part of thr celebrations. There were suppose to some be canapés that s were vegetarian and gluten free which was pre agreed. Unfortunately, they served non gluten free and salmon items as vegetarian!! When the manager was questioned the response was my friend is vegetarian and eats fish! I mean, were we really expected to listen to such nonesense and eat fish!? We were also told that bar food couldnt be ordered until later in the evening even though the party started at 7pm! In the end the host ordered pizzas from outside! Regarding the bar, a few of us wanted to order a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and they didn t have it! Then we asked for chardonnay, again they didn t have it. We asked for cocktails, expresso martini and they didn t have ingredients, they didn t have tomato juice for Bloody Mary, they didn t have any Moretti beer. They had IPA beer and ran out after about a few rounds!! On top of that, when asked why the bar was not stocked, they said the day before was a Friday! What does that have to do with anything when you have known for weeks a party had been booked!? Its also December and approaching Christmas, why is the stock running low! It was one of the worst experiences Ive had in an establishment of what is meant to be 5*. We left the place hungry and dissatisfied with the drink selection and service! I hope you sort yourselves out so others dont have a similar experience!
Exceptionally great toilets which even get the seal of approval from the baby, was they had good baby change facilities! The butt wipes were of particularly notable luxury and a treat for the cheeks Rooms
Rooms: Beautiful rooms Rooms
Truly an exceptional stay in this unique gem. If you are looking for service with a smile, where nothing is too much trouble and where a guest is king; then this is the place . Hats off to Andy- Hotel du Vin is lucky to have you. Thank you for a memorable staycation
Great hotel in a really central position would thoroughly recommend
Centrally located and comfortable. Good bar!
Spent a fabulous couple of nights here. Staff were super friendly, our room very comfortable and the food in the bistro was superb. We had some great cocktails in the bar too. Perfect location for getting into the city centre.
Loved it
Good in parts. Comfortable bed and good shower and bath. But threes were odd noises from the hotel at odd times overnight and could have done with a decent seat in the room for the price. The coffee machine at breakfast was pretty hopeless but the rest of the breakfast good.
Didnt book a room here, but the food and service were excellent.
