Welcome to a place that promises honest Indian taste, authenticity & quality; Namaste Village. Norfolk's award winning restaurant atop the list of Indian restaurants in the county is now in Cambridge!
Very pricy Masala chips or chips sprinkle with chilli powder… 🤣 Masala dosa, small portion and costed £11 Pulao rice very small portion Lemonade £7
We went there to celebrate a Birthday of a friend really loved the environment and staff was very friendly and loving. And The food just wow, Must try there meat free Chicken Momos (i had two) and Jalebi Royal Delight.
What a gem of place! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, delicious food. Got the mushroom kadai with chili garlic naan and a ginger kombucha. It’s a little pricey (considering the amount of food) but well worth it!
I went to one of their cooking classes and I loved it: the staff was very nice and accommodating. The chef taught us how to make papdi chaat and masala dosa with sambhar and coconut chutney (which you can also order from their menu). Everything turned out delicious. I really loved the papdi chaat which is a dish I wouldn't normally order: it was bursting with flavours, I couldn't stop eating. I loved that this cooking class exposed me to new dishes and helped expand my palate.
If you are looking for vegeterian /vegan restaurant in Cambridge, this is your happy place to go for. This place has got very pleasant ambience. Good choice for Indian snacks And mango lassi is pure🫶 Good to book seats on weekends. They have parking space near by.
Really nice restaurant. We were the first to arrive and seated swiftly... I later felt like if I visit again, I should probably call to reserve a table as it got quite busy (even for a Tuesday evening). The food was delicious. We ordered Vegan and there are plenty options. The flavour in the manchurin required a moment to appreciate. And the beetroot tikki on the Vegan Thali was a new thing for me. I noticed the menu on the door had a few more vegan options than the menu on the tables. Or maybe I am mistaken... I couldn't find the thali on the table menu but defninatly knew I wanted it from seeing it on the door menu. The staff were soooo good! We had the pleasure of Jemin as our waiter. It's always nice when to get someone who can explain and describe flavours so well. Great knowledge and nice to have met. A really welcoming restaurant. The manager informed us that the Norwich restaurant is much larger, so I shall soon find out 😃 Gets a 5* rating in my eyes. Don't know if they have on site parking but Cambridge is lovely to explore anyway.
A Disappointing Experience at Namaste Village Cambridge My wife and I were looking forward to dining at Namaste Village Cambridge, but we ended up really disappointed. The evening started off well enough with the "Love to Share Platter"—the onion bhaji and fried beetroot were delicious. However, when we got home and opened our takeaway, things took a turn for the worse. We kept finding old grey hairs in both our Veggie Korma and Chicken Butter Masala. It was absolutely stomach-churning and completely unacceptable. My wife was so horrified that she literally threw up. The discovery of those hairs ruined our appetite, and we couldn't bring ourselves to eat the rest of the meal. On top of the hygiene issues, the main dishes were bland and tasteless, comparable to supermarket food. For the GBP 64.46 we spent, the quality was nowhere near what we expected. The mandatory tip felt like rubbing salt in the wound, given the poor experience. Even the toilets were undesirable, which added to our overall disappointment. While the staff were friendly, the food quality and hygiene issues made the visit a letdown. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I can't recommend Namaste Village Cambridge. If you're looking for a decent vegetarian meal, I'd suggest trying somewhere else. See proof of purchase and hair.
So great. Had dinner here on a Saturday night. It was fully booked so a reservation was mandatory. Service was really friendly and helpful especially after seeing them having to turn away so many walk-ins. The food was delicious. Each dish was packed with rich flavour and the vegetarian menu left me spoilt for choice so I will happily return to try more of their offerings. Highly recommended.
Great experience Hardika was really welcoming and chef Rajesh made food that made us feels like home!

Slow service & food was terrible. Ordered Paneer butter masala and which was extremely sweet. Tasted like having a desert instead of curry
Amazing food - definitely recommend
Very tasty vegetarian/vegan food Vegetarian options: Lots of variety and all tasty Food : 5/5 |
Ordered papadam and two curries with rice and naan. I m very surprised by the high ratings for this restaurant on Google. This was not my experience. The Korma had no flavor, and the butter chicken had a very odd flavor. There has to be better Indian in Cambridge somewhere.
Best chicken tandoor ever (and its plant based)!! So happy I have found this place!! Vegetarian options: All options are vegetarian and they also offer some vegan options Dietary restrictions: They accomodate several options
The naans were delicious! So was mango lassi. Our son s non-spicy dish was actually pretty spicy, so he could eat only rice. Food : 4/5
The nicest food and the nicest people. I m a big regular here and they are always really nice and the food is incredible. The dosas are amazing so are the Gobi and puri. Also ir is reasonably priced with it being che are getting a takeaway. Love you guys thanks for the many years of great food!
Amazing service and some of the best Indian food in Cambridge

I ordered the butter paneer and a kingfisher and thought I d be in for a wait, 5 minutes later and Nicki Lauda s come round the corner with Matt Hayes and the best curry I ve ever tasted.
Beautifully presented and so nicely spiced. Full of flavours. A joy for a vegan. Thank you.
The food and services was amazing. Vegetarian options: Dosa smosa chat. Food : 4/5 |
Having spent some time in India and eaten 90% Indian vegetarian food this was as close as you get in the UK. if you want traditional UK Indian food then look to your normal curry house for the standard offerings. The masala dosa was excellent taste wise, (the filling was softer than i remember it ) the black lentil dahl luxurious ( better than Dishooms) and the rest of the Thali offered a delicate taste sensation that I have not had in the UK outside of Southall / Rosas in Stoke Newington. Authentic vegetarian food and our service was prompt, particularly compared to a four hour wait once in Kerala. Parking like any where in central Cambridge is unlikely to be free
Dismal food lacklustre service.
After stopping for a quick takeaway I was extremely dissapionted. I ordered a chicken korma and pilau rice. Well, the rice I opened when home was what I would describe as the saltiest vegetable rice and the worst tasting korma I have ever tasted Im not one to bother writing reviews so if this saves just one person from going through what I did then all good. I wouldnt even recommend it to an enemy for fear of being ridiculed by them!
Do not eat here! They refused service to a blind person and her guide dog. My group made a reservation and when we showed up, we were denied service because a member of our group is blind and uses a guide dog. The restaurant denied us service on a restaurant rule that all dogs, including assistance animals, were not allowed inside. This is blatantly discriminatory and in violation of the Equality Act 2010- that is to say, illegal. Upon entering, we were told explicitly that the guide dog was not allowed, and when pressed, the staff member admitted that he knew that what they were doing was illegal, but this is what the higher ups had said were the rules. The guide dog is a registered, trained, and well-behaved assistance animal who was wearing a harness that clearly identified her as such. We were denied service simply because our friends guide dog existed. I will not be eating at this restaurant again after this blatant discrimination and disrespect. I urge others to do the same. Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible to people with service animals
While working away, I fancied a Indian. This was the closest restaurant to my hotel. Didnt realise it was a vegan / vegetarian only. Honestly, best dish Ive ever had, think I may have been converted. The service by Nikunj and his team was amazing
We didn t know it s a vegetrian only meal and wasn t completely sure to stay after we found out. I am glad we stayed and tried the food which was surprisingly AMAZING! Nima the waitress was really nice and welcoming. Vegetarian options: All
A vibrant Indian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge! Their widely curated menu of Vegetarian and Vegan dishes was delightful! Must try dishes - Tandoori Chick N momo, Jackfruit Biriyani and Laal Laal Mojito :)
Wow this was super tasty. Great. Thanks
Weve been several times, and always enjoyed our meals. Great food at good prices, and friendly staff. Booking recommended as its a busy restaurant. They also support good causes
The food is really delicious!
The food was amazing!!
Great food, very welcoming staff! Vegetarian options: Very nice Food : 5/5 |
Amazing food and service. Thank you
OK, but not great. A bit of confusion with the service. The ambience is very bright, doesnt feel like a dinner out. The vegan curries had a lot of sauce and too little solid pieces. The soy chicken is not very good. The samosas are a bit greasy and not very good either. Overall the price of food is way too high for what you get.
Came here for a birthday meal. Staff are fantastic, knowledgeable and generally lovely. Food is amazing. If you are unsure of the level of spice, the staff will help you out and suggest what you might like.
Vegetarian options: Really tasty food in this restaurant . Food was very delicious Meet patel recommend gobi manchonain which was very outstanding.delivery service is on time . Overall good experience in this restaurant we will definitely order again .love this food .
Really tasty food and the service was outstanding. First time but would come again.
Amazing vegetarian Indian - kids loved it too - would definitely come again!!
I had no reservation during a special event, but was still seated immediately. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious.
Great restaurant with so many vegan options that I ll have to visit so many more times to explore. We are a tough crowd too with 2 vegans, 1 gluten free and 1 nut allergy between 3 of us . Pleased everyone!!! Vegetarian options: Loads of vegan option on an entirely vegetarian menu Dietary restrictions: Brilliant, specifically for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and nut free people

Lovely venue with very friendly staff and the food and drinks were delicious. Will be back again for sure Vegetarian options: Full menu is vegetarian with some meat alternatives but many classic vegetable dishes
Fab staff and not the standard Indian restaurant food. Recommended. Vegetarian options: Lots Food : 5/5 |

Fantastic warm authentic Indian restaurant in Cambridge. The food is fresh, flavoursome and not oily. The service is lovely and friendly, special shoutout to Nima and Jemin for cheerful service on a busy Friday night
Really good birthday song and cake
Really great food! I forgot the names of the dishes we ordered but everything was vegetarian (we didn t realise until ordering) and tasted incredible.
Top, excellent restaurant and entirely vegetarian with vegan options
Really excellent service catering for my low salt diet Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian and vegan dishes Food : 5/5 |
We had a first class meal here. All of my family enjoyed their dishes. We will be back, thank you Vegetarian options: Many many vegetarian options to choose from we feasted
Homely environment good food, very helpful staff.
One of the best Indian places in Cambridge. All vegetarian but you wouldnt regret it, as the food is delicious. Usually, in an Indian restaurant in the UK you either get good north indian or south indian dishes, but here you get to enjoy the best of both the world. Highly recommend. Try Gobi Manchurian!
Overall good quantity and taste!
Outstanding authentic Indian food
Very friendly staff
Friendly staff, great service, delicious food, Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian.. Food : 5/5 |
Nice delicious food and great service with big smile love it
Creative pure vegetarian indian food, full of flavours. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Full vegetarian menu Food : 5/5 |
Spent over £130 plus on food but didnt like anything except the chilli panerr. The gravies are all very sweet and at all give a taste of proper Indian food
The food is so tasty and delicious. We would defo recommend.
Great food and vibes. One of my favourite places to eat in Cambridge!
Great vegan food and service!
Was here in Cambridge for a short trip looking for some Indian restaurants I found this place called Namaste village the walk in was clear and good impressed then it take 10mins to take order in need to park your car in paid parking cause they don t have parking the waiter is so humble and good in upselling the product but lack of interest in explaining products. Starting with runner she is good with service but then when we ask to describe item she is too loud . Then the waiter started moving tables making more noice .. the prices wear too high for the experience and quality of the food got a point with presentation but food was pre-cooked and reheated dosa was pale white and feels like eating batter chutneys wear bland the portion of biriyani is too less like a portion in tasting menu .. and charged over pricing .. Well good with drinks menu design . Thanks for the hospitality.
Overhyped in my opinion. Vegan doesnt really taste good.
Service was unorganised and slow. Waitress brought out drinks 1 at a time. The pilau rice was microwave savoury rice which was somehow undercooked. The chicken seemed as though it had been boiled however the sauce was nice. But £80 for 2 mains 2 rice 2 drinks and 4 papadoms is extortion! Daylight robbery considering the food looked like a frozen microwave meal. No offense. Would not recommend.
Really tasty food, especially the Tali and street food options
Great price for quality,However quantity I found bit less for the price .Good food ,Great place to eat. Toilet is ok upstairs. Would only recommend this place to have snacks not easy on the wallet for main course.
Lovely food, atmosphere and service
Fabulous food, brilliant service. Superb!!
Really nice staff and the food is authentic and delicious! We will definitely be back again
Went for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Service was friendly and all food delicious. Will return and try their mid-week lunch menu at some point.
The food is amazing! Definitely recommend the jackfruit biryani rice. Friendly service as well. Food
A great atmosphere. The welcome was warm and the food was fantastic. My husband is vegan and to have so much choice was amazing for him. We will definitely be back.
A genuinely authentic taste. Very delicious and fresh quality food. Been 3 times already. Will come soon again. Reasonably priced. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing and authentic Indian veg food options with great taste
We had high hopes for this place as we really wanted to support a vegan restaurant, but we didnt like the out-there flavours. Firstly the positives... it was fantastic that there were so many vegan options, gluten free and even garlic/onion free. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was beautifully presented, and arrived very promptly. However, all of this was let down by the food just not tasting very nice. Apart from the onion bhajis, we didnt like any of our dishes (and we really wanted to). The flavours were just funky. Overly aromatic, and too spicy to the point of being inedible, despite ordering only medium spiced dishes. We had 6 dishes between us and not one had us wanting more. We got the feeling that the chef was trying to be too experimental with the flavours. Very disappointed.
Ordered just 5 items (19030) from this place through Uber Eats. Took 1 hour plus to deliver. Items missing - Mango Lassi that was ordered. How poor the service is, is evident from the fact that 1 item is missing out of 5 ordered. Not interested in complimentary offers for the missing order and the person asked if we could come and collect the lassi! Food quality strictly average. Complete ripoff. Avoid! To address the response from the restaurant : Yes it was on Uber Eats. No the driver had not received the lassi. The restaurant was called as soon as the driver reached the delivery point and the items were checked before we let the Uber Eats delivery person go. Let s be truthful Namaste Village Cambridge - your front desk confirmed they had missed sending the lassi and offered to hand it over if someone came around. The refund was processed by Uber Eats.
Great food! All vegetarian restaurant. Incredible variety! Thali is also an option.
We had good time there . The ambience is good . Please reserve a table in advance
The food was ok but it s not the authentic Indian food. It needs more spices, they couldn t add spices. The food was way too creamy and more of sweet. The chicken was tender but I didn t like the taste. The vegetarian options were better fit. The garlic naan bread was good. Plate portions are bit smaller than usual Indian places. The place had good hygiene.
Authentic vegetarian Indian food, great with family, friends and colleagues.
A very disappointing visit to Namaste Village. The food was overpriced, under spiced and full of sugar and cream. The starters were tasty but, and this is a theme, overly sweet. Then followed the paneer dosa. It looked the part but was rather bland and dry. It had a fair amount of saltiness but lacked any hint of spice. Mashed potato, bland grated cheese and not much else. Finally, the curries and dahl which were by far the worst offenders for sweetness, whilst also being unpleasantly creamy. The black dahl had a texture like thick custard- no lentil texture and a strange addition of very soft kidney beans and more cream. Earthy without much other flavour. The paneer Angara was again, all creamy, sweet sauce and very little else. There was a lack of vegetables and paneer. Lots of liquid but just one slice of onion and two bits of pepper. The bill at the end of the meal seemed rather high for the poor quality and small portions. Im sorry to say that I really dont know why there are so many good reviews of Namaste Village. Our experience was very different and I wouldnt go back in a hurry.
We booked a table here for the first time as we had friends visiting. Overall the main dishes were very sweet and seemed to contain too much cream and butter, which overwhelmed all other flavours. The Paneer Angara contained relatively little paneer or vegetables but had a lot of rich sauce. I can only describe it as gloopy and it seemed to have strands of melted cheese in. The Black House Lentil Dahl was also very rich and sweet and we couldnt eat much of it. The paneer dosa was very salty and disappointing after looking nicely presented. Our friends had the Korma which was excessively sweet - like a dessert. I do recall the waiter referring to it as sweet curry when we ordered. The street food dishes were the best of what we tried. We had the Samosa Chat and Crispy Spinach Chat. The main dishes didnt come with rice or bread, and a pilau rice is fairly expensive at £5.95. A steamed rice was nearly £4. We felt the food was a quite disappointing and fairly expensive and we wouldnt eat there again. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Although they didnt have a record of our table booking when we arrived, and I received an email just after arriving telling me my booking had been changed from a table of 5 to a table of 3. But we managed to get a table as it was early on a Monday evening.
Disappointing. Some of the dishes felt like not much love or care had gone into them. Some things too blended.
Great Indian cuisine with very tasty vegetarian options, friendly staff and beautiful space! Highly recommend it!
Was a little busy and loud but it s normal in a Saturday evening
I have just received test results for SALMONELLA after a Deliveroo from Cambridge Namaste Village. I have been incapacitated for 2 weeks, with diarrohea, fever and headaches after one takeaway. I urge you to stay away and have reported to Cambridge Environmental health.
I first discovered this restaurant thanks to friends and then I myself took a friend who had never been. We ordered a variety of nibbles and street food options to share as our main meal. The flavours were beyond incredible. Service was quick and staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I was really impressed by service! The evening was busy but we didnt have to wait at all to have food and drinks! One of new favourite in town for sure!
Fantastic food!
The best vegan Indian food I have tasted, more places like this should exist! Highly recommend the Gujwari Naan, Onion Baji and Chick n Butter Masala
Decent veg Indian restaurant in Cambridge, ambience was good, had booked a table in advance, service was quick and friendly, paid parking is available in front of the restaurant, free after 7pm
Excellent food Very kind staff Delicate environment
I was a little surprised when I found out this place is vegan only but thats partly my fault for not doing more research. The chicken 65 was great and hardly indistinguishable from meat, but the other meat replacement dishes didnt taste like meat at all. Everything was also a bit too spicy
Decent restaurant. Good ambience, and quick service. Price is on expensive side. Also, dosa was not authentic, the batter of the crepe was not correct and the most important south indian ingredient of curry patta was missing from sambhar and potato mix in the dosa.
I love this place so much. The food is so delicious and the staff are so cooperative and kind. Genuinely can taste and feel the care put into the food and service. Its also so affordable and they offer so many ways to pay! Genuinely an amazing place.
Expensive for the food!
Wonderful food and great service
the best Indian restaurant - great food ambience and personnel helping on anything - highly recommended
Ive been there once, but it was an unforgettable experience. Authentic Indian food, amazing tastes. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The orders were served pretty quickly, without compromising the taste. Definitely recommend ! A bit pricey though but justified.

Best Indian restaurant in Cambridge for vegetarians! This is hands down my favorite spot in Cambridge. The starters and chaat are my absolute favorites. They have great options for both starters and curries. A must-try when youre craving authentic Indian food!
Fantastic, especially dahi puri and gobi manchurian - some of the best food Ive had in Indian restaurants ever!
Really lovely vegan food! The tandoori chicken was fantastic!!
Great vegetarian Indian for eat-in or takeaway, the starters are particularly great!

Great place to dine for Indian foods
I was visiting from Leicester and came across this place on google and the Panner angara was one of best panner dishes Iv had. Definitely will be going back for this.
Delicious vegetarian and vegan food.
Its nice to visit Indian restaurant with veg menu on board
Namaste Village, a remarkable meat-free Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. The standout dish for me was the lamb labbabdar, which was astonishingly close to the taste and texture of real lamb. It was absolutely delicious and a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors and rich spices, making it a true delight for the taste buds. The menu offers a wide variety of options, all prepared with the highest quality ingredients, ensuring a satisfying meal for every diner. The atmosphere at Namaste Village is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal with family or friends. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall wonderful dining experience. Namaste Village is a gem for anyone seeking delicious, meat-free Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it to both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. You won t be disappointed!
Everything is so delicious and the service is very friendly and attentive!
How wonderful to be able to choose from a range of vegan foods. Tasty food, exceeded my expectations. Great service. Will definitely return. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan or vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Great for vegans - although some of the menu contains dairy it can be adapted and much is vegan. Drink menu clearly marked with many vegan choices.
Delicious food with so so many vegan options.
It feels home for all Indians who live in Cambridge and miss Indian restaurants. Had a lovely meal yesterday. Food
Seeing as Im both vegan AND T2D, there were plenty of delicious options that wowed my palate :-). I just steered clear of the breads and the rice, well... Almost! :-) and the buffalo cauliflower was to die for.
Namaste village Cambridge- a great place to eat authentic Indian food. Lovely flavours & spices adjusted according to your taste. Staff were brilliant and attentive to our needs. Had a great dinner on Father s Day! Vegetarian options: It s a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, meat dishes are also made using vegetarian/ vegan alternatives.
Service was excellent. The food was delicious with a wide selection of gluten free.
Amazing authentic Indian food! This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Cambridge :) Their Gobi Manchurian is especially good
