The food and service were amazing! Not a big fan of the Christmas decor and music there.
We had a delightful time celebrating my birthday yesterday. We opted for a tasting menu, which included one vegetarian and one meat course. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Some dishes were particularly delicious, like the starter and sparkling tea, while others were less to our liking. The vegetarian menu didn’t quite meet our expectations. However, we appreciated the food and service. The only issue I had was the location of our table. It was right next to the service door, which meant that waitresses were constantly coming and going with empty dishes. The door made a loud noise every time someone used it, which was quite distracting. I tried to focus on the food, but it was hard to ignore the noise. Despite this annoyance, the food was good enough to make up for it.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had! We chose the 7 course tasting menu. Every course was beautifully presented and explained. Just when you thought one course couldn’t be beaten, the next was even better. We have dined here before in the private dining room with family which was brilliant but the 7 course taster for our anniversary was exceptional. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. What a wonderful evening, worth every penny
One of the best meals I’ve had in Cambridge - the tasting menus was brilliant, with such a wide variety of flavours and dishes. The vegetarian option was also really good.
We had the set menu. The restaurant had been recommended to us, so we chose it for an anniversary meal. The food was nicely presented and tasted good but it was nothing special. I guess I had high expectations because the restaurant used to have a Michelin star. I've eaten at many South Indian restaurants and absolutely adore this region's cuisine. Service was indifferent, the decor was nice, however the location was rather horrible, just off a busy roundabout and quite a run-down area. That's not the fault of the restaurant to be fair! Just be aware for travelling there. I would visit again to try other dishes, there was an interesting selection.
We had an amazing meal. The food was as good as any we have had and the service was impeccable. We also had the flight of wines which was matched perfectly to every course. Could not recommend this restaurant more highly!
I love Indian food and this experience was on a different level. Everything tasted amazing, full of flavour and beautifully spiced. The staff were great and very attentive. We had the tasting menu and each dish came with a full explanation from our waiter. The restaurant was quiet when we were (5.45pm), which was nice and added to the atmosphere. We left very full and happy 🙂
I am someone that has avoided seafood all my adult life.... Having recently taken myself out of a few comfort zones in my life I decided that seafood is something I should probably tackle.. lots of people told me I have missed out! So, Navadhanya was recommended as I enjoy spice and flavour. WOW WOW WOW! The recommendation was the best I have ever had! I was nervous but after my first bite I knew the Seafood taster menu was something I was going to enjoy! Dish after dish of pure heaven..... I was someone that didn't like the thought of eating seafood..... that's all I was! Because I LOVE seafood now! 7 courses of taste sensation. Every course was the right amount of everything. The waiter was so well versed in explaining the dishes and with so much enthusiasm and a delightful smile. Wine and water were topped up accordingly and staff were so very attentive. The food was cooked to perfection ( My partner is highly knowledgebable in food) and there wasn't anything that made me feel uncomfortable in any way. Beautiful, so very worth the money and I am now a seafood eater for sure!!
This is an amazing Indian restaurant. There are so many delicious starters and mains that youll want to have a large party coming here for dinner so that you can order a variety of dishes and try them all. I definitely recommend the lamb starter. The mango lassi is extremely good as well. As expected for an Indian restaurant, there is a wide variety of vegetarian dishes.
Highly recommend! Really high quality food.
The tasting menu is amazing and pretty good value. Staff are very good.
Amazing food. Best Indian food in Cambridge, could be actually the best restaurant
Excellent food and good service. Michelin star chefs dishes are authentic and tasty.
Fine dining proper Indian cuisine. Portions small but pricey, probably effect of Michelin star!
Fantastic food and service. We had the tasting menu which is really recommended. The best Indian meal I ve had
Totally worth every penny. Best Indian meal we ve ever had
Wonderful meal with friends. Staff were very attentive. Rabbit nihari in particular was delicious.
Great biryani.
Amazing experience, was lovely Vegetarian options: Great selection Food : 5/5 |
Had testing menu. Beautifully presented and delicious food. For the quality the cost was reasonable. We enjoyed every mouthful. Parking: Like most of Cambridge parking isnt the best. We took the train and had an easy stroll to the restaurant.
We visited this restaurant whilst staying for a long weekend in Cambridge. They were extremely busy which is always positive. We still managed to get a table. We were served by an extremely polite and helpful waiter. He remained attentive for our whole meal, and with a smile! The menu is so very different to other restaurants which was pleasing. The food was very tasty and good portions. As they were celebrating their 10th anniversary, we were treated to a gift before we left! What a wonderful end to a lovely evening. Highly recommended.
Was very much looking forward to the 10 year anniversary menu. It was a kind of a hit and miss. The starter with pani puri etc were great, as was the yoghurt chaat and the tawa halibut. The slider and the lamb however were heavy on the salt for flavour..the dessert was nice. Overall nice but didnt wow. The Navadhanya team are super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. the ambience was nice. the decor is nice albeit still same wallpaper/paintings as from the previous occupants of the site, (Chinese restaurant).
Absolutely incredible, we did the tasting menu and were very impressed. Recommend highly!
Really excellent taster menu - leave your usual Indian menu ideas at the door! Just superb.
Well managed and worth visiting for Indian food.
Outstanding food and service for a bargain price.
This is my third time dining at Navadhanya. This time with a party of 17. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants Ive been to anywhere. Amazing service from Antonio, Dileep and Jitin. Thank you for having us!
We came here for our anniversary last night and had the 7 course taster menu and absolutely blown away by every single course, just beautiful food! Already looking to book to come again! Highly recommended!
Delicious food and great service. I will be back for the taster menu.
Probably the best Indian restaurant in the world!
Starters were below average. Main course was very good. Masala Chai seemed like it was from Tesco
So delicious and really nice service, didn t feel rushed at all. Very reasonably priced for such a good meal.
Really great place. The tasting menu was superb!
I AM YOUR 1000th REVIEW BOW DOWN TO ME AND GIFT ME A COUPON FOR A CHEAPER MEAL PLEASE
Lovely dishes
Best fancy food Ive ever had. Had the vegetarian tasting menu, absolutely worth it. Will try the vegan next time, Ive heard its great!
Our 4th visit, and as good as ever. The quality of the food, and attention to detail is superb. Highly recommended for a special occasion. Vegetarian options: Veggie and vegan options as standard
Excellent and creative food The guinea Fowl curry was delicious Photo is the byriani rôti
Its the best tasting menu, each time we go it seems to get better. Totally delicious
Food
Absolutely fabulous food. Enjoyed the tasting menu. I wouldnt bother with the wine flight to be honest. Dietary restrictions: One of our party is dairy free. Changes were made to the tasting menu to accommodate her.
Dont be fooled by the picture of Ganesh at the front door.... This place is HALAL
Vegetarian options: Baigan Bharta, Kadhai Paneer & Dal Makhani are drool worthy. Food
Navadhanya is the best Indian restaurant i have ever been to! The food is nothing short of extraordinary, every dish is bursting with authentic flavours and impeccable presentation. The seasonal menus ensure there is always something new to try. The service is outstanding and all staff are friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They go above and beyond to ensure a valuable dining experience. Their takeaway service is just as impressive, food arrives hot, well packaged and is just as delicious as dining in. It s a fantastic option for enjoying Navadhanya s exquisite cuisine from the comfort of your own home.
Delicious food and great service! Will definitely return
Navadhanya is a fantastic Indian restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. The elegant decor and friendly staff make you feel so welcome and well-looked after! The inviting atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. This high rated restaurant promises an unforgettable experience. A must-visit spot!!!
Fantastic food (the 7 course tasting menu), that looked, and smelled, as good as it taste. I cannot rate it too highly. Lovely.
Absolutely lovely Indian food. Definitely more researched than any other Indian restaurant in Cambridge. Service is really good. Prices are average for the city and they reflect of the quality.
Just bought a simple cheap food
Lovely atmosphere, kind and attentive staff and amazing food. This is the second time we have been here and will definitely be back!
Fantastic food, really attentive staff, cannot recommend more.
Good food and very good service. It definitely pays the price they charge.
Very good food, Indian high cuisine and Michelin quality! Thanks for the nice experience. UHasselt, B&G Food : 5/5
Splendid food. Unfortunately there was coriander in most courses, but besides that it was perfect.
Had the 7 course taster and we could safely say it was some of the nicest food we have tried.
Excellent food, brilliant service
really slow service and food was cold
The food is great, Ive been here a couple times. But not sure what has happened the presentation of the food was very below par this time around, and the service wasnt that great either. I used to give this place a 5 star all around but Im taking away a star for this visit as it didnt live up to my expectations for the price I pay for a high end Indian restaurant.
We tried their new tasting menu which is amazing . The Monk fish and lamb chops were outstanding in taste and presentation. The service was excellent and they explained every course in detail.Really worth for the money.
Very good food especially the malai chicken and Malabar prawn curry. The service was excellent and great atmosphere. Will definitely recommend it to everyone I know.
Food was excellent . Staff are very friendly and attentive. We tried the scallops and prawns which is really amazing . For the mains waiter recommend the rabbit and fish Curry both are amazing .
Navadhanya Indian restaurant in Cambridge offers an exceptional fine dining experience. The quality of the dishes, such as monkfish and railway lamb, is outstanding, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The tasting menu is particularly noteworthy and reasonably priced. The service is attentive and professional, contributing to a memorable dining experience. The elegant ambiance makes it ideal for special occasions. Navadhanya stands out as a top choice for Indian cuisine, consistently delivering on both taste and presentation. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined culinary experience.
We chose the Navadhanya to eat on our overnight visit to Cambridge and Im so glad we did. The place was absolutely packed which gave us a good idea that we might be on to a winner. The 7 course taster menu was quite special. Id like to thank the staff for making it such a memorable visit. I have no hesitation in recommending this super restaurant.
I booked this restaurant for my dad s Birthday. Exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere dining here at Navadhanya an absolute pleasure. We all had an amazing experience and time here. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We all enjoyed the delicious food and surprise Birthday gesture at the end, with a birthday celebration. Thank you so much for an amazing experience and service really appreciate it. This is a definite must visit delightful place to dine.
Some of the best chutneys Ive ever had!
Lovely service from all the staff. Very helpful when choosing food and portion sizes. The food was incredible, can very much recommend!
Probably the best Indian food I ve ever had, the naans were so fresh and soft and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My only problem was that the restaurant itself is really dim so we couldn t see everything properly, but otherwise it was amazing.
My first visit here with friends. A couple with dietary needs . No issue whatsoever, faultlessly adjusted our tasting menu to suit. Fantastic next level food 7 course s all innovative and fantastically tasty. Services was top notch . Would highly recommend.
Ive had some great food here but not todays meal. Very disappointing. The tikka sauce tasted like it was based on Heinz tomato soup. Vegetarian options: Reasonable choice
Food was fantastic and the service was also top notch
Superb tasting menu, wonderful service. One of us is coeliac and they provided gluten free alternatives which were equally delicious. 7 amazing dishes. Can t recommend more highly.
I died and went to heaven here for my birthday. We did the taster menu - I was blown away by ever single thing. The wait staff are very kind, someone messed up one drink and they fixed it right away. Can t wait to go back!
Amazing Indian food and friendly staff! Especially monkfish was the best.
Lovely food and great service
Lovely fine food, combined with great service, definitely recommended.
I had mirchi paneer starter, paneer makhni, and garlic coriander naan. The food was great but the atmosphere was average. Overall, I d recommend this place
The fine dining tasting menu is absolutely perfect If you like Indian food, youve got to give it a try. You wont be disappointed
We went to Navadhanya for my wife s birthday specifically for the 7 Course Tasting Menu and were not disappointed. Each course got better and was finished off with the best Melt in the middle Chocolate Fondant we ve ever had. We didn t have the flight of wine but did try a bottle of Indian Sauvignon Blanc which was different! We ll definitely be going back to try the A La Cart Menu too.
Ive reviewed this restaurant before but wanted to give feedback on a fantastic experience. My husbands birthday is late December, a tricky date. We booked for 9 family and friends, plus a small baby, and were given our own room, and VIP treatment. Thank you very much.
Exquisite culinary experience. Vegetarian options: We ate only vegan and vegetarian dishes. Large vegetarian selection Food : 5/5 |
Wonderful tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed the night out.
This is one of the higher-end Indian Restaurants, with a limited menu- usually a good sign. Lots of novelty in the dishes too- although simple dishes are there - I chose the chicken chettinadu, with garlic Nan and Dal Tadka (as they call it here). The curry was amazing, quite thin in substance with big chunks of chicken thigh meat, very different from the usual semicircular lumps of yellow chicken that could have been cooked last Tuesday- and I must say the best examples of Garlic Nan and Tarka Dal I have seen in a long time. I want to return and try one of the more interesting dishes, I know it will be special. Really good, and impressive inside - if I wanted to impress someone I d bring them here.
Amazing food!! Had the 7 course tasting menu (for the second time) would highly recommend to anyone who fancy s a special dinner. Service has been great each time with a lovely atmosphere. Will defiantly be coming back again soon xx Food
Had the 7 course tasting menu and it was outstanding! I have eaten in Michelin star Indian restaurants and this topped it!
Authentic Indian food with good ambience. A tad expensive. Went there for an early dinner as a couple with a toddler. The staff were good and accommodating of the child. We ordered pappadams to start with. The three chutneys that came with were really nice. As starters we ordered lal mirch paneer and crab N70. The paneer was amazing and brought back memories of eating in North India. The portion size left us worried whether the mains would be filling, but didnt turn out to be an issue. The crab was a letdown, couldnt feel the flavour at all. For mains we had lamb biriyani and Punjabi Murgh with spicy naan. Wife felt the chicken was too sweet, but I have had similar before. The mains were good overall, and there was enough for us to bag home in the end. We ended with Masala Chai, but that was a letdown again, felt too watery. Overall, it was nice food with good ambience and good service. We often feel after eating out at Indian restaurants that we should have just cooked ourselves, but that wasnt the case here. Except for a couple of duds, we came back satisfied. Still overall, the price felt a bit too steep. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options, both among starters and mains. Kid-friendliness: Staff are accommodating of children, and there are high chairs. There are child-friendly menu items.
Great food and overall experience for a very fair price :)
Great food, wonderful service
If you love Indian cuisine then this restaurant is a MUST! we had the 7 course taster menu and it was mind blowingly good. All the courses were cooked to perfection and presented immaculately. Ive never tasted Indian food this good before. Each course is delivered with a description of what it is by the waiting staff. The staff are polite attentive and efficient, it is service with a smile. I recommend the Indian Shiraz Sula with this meal. I highly recommend the scallops and the monkfish dishes but then all the courses were superb. You definitely need to visit this restaurant!
Best Indian food in Cambridge. Reservations required.
My favourite restaurant in Cambridge. I had the most amazing birthday meal. We had 2 tasting menus and 1 vegetarian tasting menu. Everything tasted incredible and the service is so precise and wonderful, the staff are fantastic and I am not surprised they have Michelin stars. Thank you!
lovely restaurant and service , great food really recommend x
I went with friend and had a good meal. unfortunately, I dont like chilli but luckily before ordering, I asked if the tasting menu had chilli, which it did, although nowhere it was indicated, and that would have been a disaster. So I asked the waiter for a suggestion from the a la carte menu. He kindly suggested the dal and a main but the dal was still too spicy for me, despite he said it wasnt hot. The food is tasty and nicely presented, shame its too hot for me. The restaurant was cold and the door, each time it opened, allowed cold air in, furthermore there was also air-con on, but that improved when I mentioned that to the waiter. In the last 20 minutes we felt quite rushed as they wanted the table back and they made it clear not only by bringing the bill we hadnt asked yet but also by telling us in the last 10 minutes that we had to vacate because the next reservation was going to be there at 20 (which is until when we were supposed to have the table to). If you like hot spicy food I really recommend you to go as its a refined restaurant.
Wonderful experience
This place far exceeded my expectations, the food was some of the best Indian food Ive had. Small menu that moves away from the usual suspects to create spectacular dishes that will lease everyone, the spiced cheese naan with paneer and gruyère was out of this world! Food
Limited menu
This is a great place to eat. The place looks cheap and could use a professional decorator to really match the amazing food they serve.
Very limited choice for Asia vegetarian. There target manu is Money making packages which are very expensive. I. E. Masa Dhosa you cant order serprate!!!. Vegitale dishes only 3/4 green veg. Not my cup of tea.
Best fine dining Indian restaurant in the UK! My husband and I have been here multiple times and cannot fault the food here. It is incredible every single time. The taste, the quality and the presentation beats any of the fine dining Indian restaurants in central London (and we have tried most of them!) we are both vegetarian and they have the most delicious options for us. Highly, highly recommend!
Exceptional food and very good service. Fantastic tasting menu!
Navadanya is a Michelin recommended restaurant that offers an excellent dining experience. The food is top-notch, with the seared scallops with pickled mango served over a green pea purée being a standout dish. The portions are generous and will leave you feeling full and satisfied. The staff are friendly and create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend Navadanya for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy some delicious food.
The taster menu is unbeatable. Fabulous food and service. You must go here again and again and again and.........
Food is always fantastic and the service is just esquisite. EDIT 21/01/2023: still superlative. Parking: After 6:30 the parking is free, there is plenty of space.
A great restaurant with very interesting and exciting dishes! Amazing service as well. Will come again
Amazing. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cambridge. Food
Superb food, tasty with delicate spices. Very generous portions too. The restaurant has moved from across the road since I was last there and this is a big improvement to layout and ambience. Service was a bit variable, but well worth a visit. Papadi Chaat is a great starter.
Came in for the tasting menu. And oh my God the flavours were amazing! Never had an Indian tasting menu but this has set the bar very high. The presentation was great, flavours were amazing and the flight of wine was well matched. Also didnt have to wait too long between courses. First time trying Indian wine (Sula) as well which was lovely. Great value for money. I say it as it is - yes, yes, yes I will definitely go back to try the rest of their menu!
Incredible tasting menu with excellent service throughout. Especially enjoyed the smoked monkfish!
Nice restaurant
Such an excellent place. Been twice so far - a normal dinner menu and the tasting menu, both well worth it. The tandoori rabbit from the regular menu is fantastic. Most of the tasting menu was excellent - the monkfish curry and the scallop were particular highlights. The railway lamb curry was a bit underwhelming compared to the best of the tasting menu but it was still lovely. The wine was very good too, the Indian and the dessert wines were particular memorable.
Amazing place,
We had a reservation for dinner on Feb 23rd at the Cambridge restaurant. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty. Kudos to the chef. However our fine dining experience was spoilt because of the following: 1. We had a long wait before a waitress even came to take our order. 2. Although, we clearly told the waitress that we would like all the dishes to be served at the same time, we were made to wait for a long time for the mains, as the waiter waited for us to finish our Hariyali machali, which we also told her was our main course dish. We had to call a waiter to ask for our mains after almost 50 mins waiting. The waiter apologised and offered us a complimentary chicken dish. Yet another tasty dish. 3. We had ordered Dal tadka as one of our dishes, as my husband is under treatment (had a heart attack 6 weeks ago and this was our first family meal outside)and is on diet food, with minimum oil/butter/fat. We were served Dal MAKHNI instead, loaded with butter and garnished with cream!!! We did not realise it at the time of eating, as we were so hungry after the long wait. We finished our meal at almost 9 pm! Although a couple of emails have been sent to the restaurant, we have not received any reply for them. High rating for the food, but service lacks...
Came for my birthday celebrations with good friends. This place absolutely blew me away!! The flavours, the presentation, the staff, the service everything was top notch. Unlike any other Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I can t wait to come back. Thank you for making my birthday extra special.
Good service and the food was delicious.
Great food and selection options. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. We had a great time here. Highly recommended.
This fancy restaurant is perfect for special occasions. With its elegant ambiance and exceptional cuisine, it s the ideal place to celebrate milestones or enjoy a romantic night out. Whether you re in the mood for a multi-course meal or just a glass of wine, the attentive service and luxurious surroundings will make your visit truly memorable :)
Top level Indian food. Amazing!
Superb meal thank you
Fantastic experience Will visit often
Food is tasty, presentation and service are awesome. Highly recommended if you like Indian food.
this resturant is full non veg with no indian taste. if looking for indian options try other places
Fantastic 7 course tasting menu - would highly recommend to taste indian food like you never have before - the amuse bouche, scallops and Monk fish were are favourite - the final lamb course would have preferred more spicy as a final hit before the gorgeous chocolate dessert. Lovely restaurant with friendly attentive staff, we didnt feel rushed and will definitely return - was wondering whether they change the choices of the 7 tasting menu ??
A good Indian restaurant, but there loads of good Indian restaurants (maybe not in Cambridge) that are just as good and better value for money, without the contentious fine dining label. We felt slightly patronised. Weve been eating Indian food for 50 years, so do know what to expect. Being recommended to have two prawn starters rather than share one @£16 each was a surprise We shared one. The chicken dish contained but three pieces of tikka, really. Fine dining doesnt mean just serving smaller portions at an inflated price. Having said that the food was well prepared and flavoursome, we had a good meal. But last gripe the wine list prices start at £30 a bottle really...
Tries too hard. Tasty food tho.
It was the best decision to spend our evening here! We had such a pleasant evening in the restaurant, from the greeting from the waitress to the treatment, everything was perfect! ;-) We were assigned a table even though we hadnt made a reservation (the restaurant was very full). After we were seated we ordered a drink. I took a freshly squeezed lemonade and my colleague a Cola Zero. There was a small starter with papadums and 3x different homemade dipping sauces. A sweet sauce, a fresh one with mint and a slightly spicy hotter one. All 3x sauces tasted wonderful with the papadums. :-) As a starter we ordered the broccoli with hummus to share. It was an incredibly interesting taste combination between hummus and broccoli, you can definitely try it. When we ordered the main course, our order was read out once to see if everything was correct and we were also asked if we were allergic to anything. Ive never experienced it like that before, but it was actually nice because you respond so much to your guests. ;-) When my Nalli ka gosht arrived and also my colleagues Malabar prawn curry, both of which are highly recommended, I was blown away! Just the way it has already been garnished and served is fantastic. *.* The lamb was so tender that it practically fell off the bone and the sauce had a very interesting taste. Nice and spicy, but not too spicy, just right. ;-) Every now and then we were asked whether everything was okay and whether we needed something to drink. A real service that greatly appreciates each and every one of its guests. While paying we were given nice warm cleaning cloths to clean our hands. The atmosphere is really chic and there were several Michelin star recommendations on the wall, which suggests that this restaurant might get one. If you ask me, it definitely deserves it! ;-) I can highly recommend everyone to have eaten here at least once, especially if you like Indian, this is the right place for you :-) Parking: There are parking spaces in front of and around the restaurant, although these may be full depending on the time of day. You have to get a parking ticket from the machine if you park within the specified time.
Fantastic service, food, presentation and overall experience. By far the best indian place Ive went to - well done!
Amazing place .
My second visit and didn t dísappoint. We travelled from Lancashire It was superb. Indian food at its very best. Should have a Michelin Star
Nice location. Food is good but the service is slow.
Finally!! A fine dining restaurant with Indian cuisine. The food was fantastic! Friendly and attentive staff, nice atmosphere ... cant wait to go back.
Very disappointed! Not an extensive menu, The chicken biriany looked like some sort of pie and was pretty tasteless. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wife had lamb curry (not sure what kind of curry) but not something you would want again.Location of restaurant not good, no bars , or pubs nearby .
Best Indian food in Cambridge by a country mile.
Excellent
Ordered a few times since lockdown. Ideal if you want a slight twist on traditional Indian food. The food is lovely, especially the papadi chaat. All other dishes Ive tried are lovely but very rich. The vegetable biryani for example comes with a raita but Im pretty sure its made with double cream (as well as yoghurt). Although its been great for an occasional treat, it would be better if there were a way to request for less cream to be added to some of the curries. My partner and I would then be able to order more frequently without the worry of it impacting our health. Recent order (all vegetarian): Dal turka - lentil soup. Not too puréed. Lots of garlic. Lovely, tasty, will likely order again. Saag aloo - new potatoes in spinach. The spinach is puréed, not usually how this dish is served, gives it a different twist and taste. Paneer makhni - cheese in a sweetish, tangy, creamy tomato sauce. The paneer ratio is quite good but the dish as a whole is very rich, cheese in a thick, creamy sauce. I found it hard to eat large portions but may be ideal if its being shared alongside a few other dishes. Papadi chaat (not pictured) - surprisingly pink but extremely tasty. A mix of lentils, chickpeas, sev (dried noodles), pomegranate, yoghurt, herbs/spices. Overall, Id 100% recommended but Id advise to order mindfully based on the heaviness and richness of the dishes. For now, ideal for the occasional fine dining experience at home. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant once the pandemic is over.
One of the best Indian meals Ive ever had. Even the chutneys and relishes with the poppadums were excellent - not just bog standard lime pickle and mango chutney. I had Dal Makhni - wonderful, creamy, rich sauce around tender black lentils. My partner had Punjabi Murgh, and it was delivered exactly as requested - on the mild side. The chicken pieces were tender, juicy and not a sign of that damnable red food colouring to be seen. The pulao rice was great, as was the peshwari naan. All in all, top notch.
Excellent fine dining Indian restaurant. Attentive and accommodating staff with delicious, well balanced food. Very reasonable prices. Bring some cash as you cant leave a tip on card!
Food and service everything is good
Absolutely delicious!! Best food I have eaten in a long while. The staff were so attentive - service was impeccable and the restaurant has a really great ambiance too. Would definitely recommend! Thanks Navadhanya for the top experience
If I could give 10 stars I would. We had the 7 course vegetarian tasting menu. It was faultless. Genuinely one of the best meals we have had in recent memory. Service was also excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
Visited from London, I think the curries we tried were the best I ve had and service was excellent. Highly recommend and would love to be back, thank you
Just the best Indian restaurant I have ever tried! Worth a try before the prices go up because they do deserve a Michelin star!
Top kitchen
Food was generally good and well presented. Wasnt a fan of the duck curry
Amazing food and great service. Highly recommended. Chocolate and fig dessert was sublime.
Very good tasting Menu, must try and recommended
Brilliant Food, great service and loverly atmosphere. I highly recommend the taster menu. Food
Great food, great service, excellent for a special occasion. All 5 of us had the 7 course tasting menu at £59 each. Might seem expensive but worth every penny. Starve yourself before you go.
Excellent food and service. Ive been many times and the food and service has always been excellent. My only feedback would be to space diners apart a bit more if possible but I understand there is limited floor space.
Good service
Starters were really nice but the main courses were ok. It felt more anglicized with milder spices rather than authentic Indian food. Atmosphere and service was great
The only curry house truly worthy of a Michelin star. The seven course taster menu is simply amazing!
This is the next level Indian cuisine. I went to celebrate my birthday and I had one of the best Indian dinners in my life. I recommend their testing menu a lot, its a lot of delicious food very well balanced and served with a nice explanation about everything that youre eating. The only thing I will probably improve is that the music stopped at some point and they didnt realized until 20min later which made the atmosphere feel a bit more noisy. Everything else excellent I will return for more special dates. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu
The food was tasty but service was unacceptably slow. We waited almost an hour for our starters, then another 40 minutes for the main course. This made the experience overall much less enjoyable. We were planning to get desserts at first but gave up because we didn t want to risk waiting who knows how long!
Absolutely perfect dinner service, food was immaculate, servers were very knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant was beautifully decorated and clean. Came with my girlfriend for our anniversary and tried the 7 course vegetarian tasting menu - Im not vegetarian but the food was amazing and great value. Very impressed and we will be returning.
Went for a friends birthday party. The experience overall was good. The food has some eccentric info western combinations which are not purely authentic but a good attempt. Not a place for regular dine out or takeaway but maybe just for special occasions. The service was great.
The tasting Menu was out of this world. Interesting flavour combinations, attentive staff that treated our 5 Person group like royalty even though we just ordered the tasting menu without the complementary wines. There ist a reason, this place got repeated mentions in the Guide Michelin. Ill definetly be back. Vegetarian options: There ist a vegetarian and a separate vegan tasting menu. There ist a minimum of two each though. Dietary restrictions: They were happy top adapt to our allergies.
It really was fine dining. Worth it to get the 7-course meal with the wine flight!
The food was very good and the staff were very attentive , highly recommended.
We came to Navadhanya for the 7 course tasting meal and we already want to return! The food was delicious and so beautifully presented. The monkfish was particularly fantastic and the service was wonderful. Thank you so much for making our birthday special! :)
Ive driven/walked past this restaurant many times and one day upon googling I was suprised to learn it was one of the best restaurants in Cambridge. So I had to make a visit. Indeed this is the best Indian restaurant that Ive personally visited in Cambridge (so far). I went for the Nalli Ka Gosht and Butter Naan. The meal was an absolute delight with the tenderness and flavour of the Lamb complimenting the sauces beautifully. I will certainly have to come back and try the fish menu. Thanks for making my visit a great experience!
Had a private room for a birthday celebration. The food was of outstanding quality, freshly cooked and presented very finely. All the spices were very well balanced. We enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The atmosphere was a bit lacking though, as we were in the room without any windows or a view. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking: Parking right in front of the restaurant. Free after 6pm.
Best food in Cambridge!
Wow, we were really impressed by this place. We are indian food fanatics and have tried at least 15 Indian food restaurants in Cambridge. Our normal go-to spot is Taj Tandoori, which is hard to beat. However, we came here tonight for the first time and actually thought they were on-par with each other both exceptional. My family is vegetarian and we all thought the food here was 5 stars. We ll definitely be back!
Real Indian Fine Dining in Cambridge Vegetarian options: Very good vegetarian options. We tried Artichoke Mattar as one of the main with garlic naan and gol gappa and basil tikki for stater and we loved it. The chutneys we had with the pappads were amazing
Service was topnotch. Amazed to have dinner in the Indian styled restaurant with Michelin food. The staff offered hot towels just before dessert. Great,
Navadhanya is an Indian restaurant, but it might better be described as a fine restaurant serving Indian-inspired dishes. The menu is not extensive, but the dishes offered are well chosen, thoughtfully spiced and nicely presented. This is a place for a stylish dinner, far removed from the after-pub vindaloo. Kid-friendliness: Think of this as a fine dining place and judge whether your kids will fit in.
Was delicious in general (tandoori prawns were delicious), except for biryani which we didnt enjoy, as the meat tasted a bit off!
Lovely food!
Best Indian restaurant Ive ever visited in my life... The food was exquisite... The service was perfect... And the staff was extremely friendly....i would recommend it to everybody...
Hospitality is amazing!
Lovely tasting food, vegetable biryani was more rice than vegetables, with one sprout of broccoli, one stem of asparagus, a ribbon of carrot, and a couple of baby sweetcorn! Looked impressive and tasted good, just no substance for the price Staff were friendly and polite, but service was really slow unfortunately! Great venue and atmosphere, if you intend to stay and have no time limit
Superb food. Top class service. Excellent value. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Great food, quite expensive, but you get what you pay for, definitely not like your local curry house, these dishes have exceptional flavours and spices.
Delicious indian fine dining. Tried the testing menu, would recommend. Very good service. Parking: Nearby parking lot is free after 6:30pm.
Fabulous fine dining, can t wait to go back
