You have to order from the approved which actually makes it easier. The order doesn't get submitted until everyone at your table orders. We got the sampler platter and it was so good! I loved it! Best marinara sauce I've ever had! Get something with the marinara sauce on it! I didn't and it was good but it could've been better. It was super busy so you don't see the server often but they were still nice.
My partner and I had a lovely evening here at Zizzi’s in Cambridge with lovely service from Cornelius. He was attentive and kind with great service overall. A lovely experience and we will be back.
Had the 3 course Christmas meal. The atmosphere was great, nice tables for our large group that encouraged chatting. Service was a bit on the slow side but understandable for the size of our group. No major complaints!
I recently visited this place, and while the food was decent, the experience left much to be desired. It took over an hour to receive the starter, which was very frustrating. This delay really affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. If you’re planning to visit during busy times, I strongly advise avoiding peak hours, as the service seems to struggle with handling the crowd efficiently. Hopefully, management can work on improving this aspect, as the long wait times are a significant downside.
We ordered two vegan rainbow lasagna and literally served 6 lasagna sheets with tomato sauce and no filling. Big mistake I did was not take a picture of the meals. This is worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. No value for money and was charged £15.95 for each dish. Additionally, the pizza my partner ordered Rustics Pinoli had no goat cheese , mozzarella, tomatoes, etc. I am posted the picture from the menu , what I should have been served.
Came for an early lunch so it was nice and quiet. Server was very polite and attentive and asked about allergies, and gave us free reign to sit where we wanted. Lovely views over Parker’s Piece. Ordered pizza which was sizeable and tasted good. Food didn’t come out overly fast but we weren’t in a rush. Would come back!
I recently visited Zizzi in Cambridge, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, offering a wide variety of Italian dishes that were fresh and full of flavor. The pizzas, in particular, were a highlight, with a perfect balance of crispy crust and rich toppings. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our visit memorable. I highly recommend Zizzi if you were looking for an Italian meal paired with top-notch service.
As a customer, I came to the restaurant expecting to enjoy a pleasant hour. I ordered a pizza and wine. Before I had finished my meal, the staff tried to clear my table. I informed them that I hadn’t finished yet. Later, I ordered a second glass of wine. Just two minutes after the wine was served, your server brought me the bill. I told them that there must have been a mistake as I hadn't asked for the bill. The waitress, responded by saying, "We bring it automatically." Such a response is utterly unreasonable. Instead of apologizing, she displayed excessively rude behavior for no apparent reason. I asked for the manager, but I was told they were on leave. The staff member in charge, who was neither effective nor helpful, did nothing. I continued drinking my wine and requested the dessert menu, but the waitress ignored my request and never brought it.
This is not a pizza. Seriously, what is this? What a letdown
Came here with my 4 year old - amazing service. Best place I ve been with kids hands down- colouring pencils & paper immediately, great kids menu, very accommodating & lovely staff/service.
Felice & corny - exceptional service- busy restaurant full of Xmas parties, me and my partner were served swiftly & food was delicious! We ll be back! Vegetarian options: Delicious and easy menu to find veggie options and vegan options
Really great experience. Served by Cornelius who was super friendly and attentive.
Certain choices are great. All the main dishes that Ive ordered were great and tasty. Service is a little slow. The tiramisu is horrible. Parking: No parking nearby. In the middle of town Kid-friendliness: Yes
Bruschett lacked flavour, I know its Italian but no chips. Otherwise the food, drink and service was beautiful. Food
Wheelchair accessibility: it s good Food
Laveesha made the evening great. Awesome staff all around.
After a wait of nearly an hour we finally got our starters, it then took nearly another for mains, a larger table also came in after us and were seated served ate and left before we even got mains, credit to the barman for some lovely drinks but the rest of the service was pretty poor, we didnt even get offered anything while we waited like we usually do at zizzis
Very good
Food was ok pizza and pasta p ok for value
great friendly service especially from Lavesha
Very nice food and great service from lavesha.
Lavesha was lovely. Fast service and great food
Felice was fantastic! We had a great meal and enjoyed the views of the Christmas market. The crab arancini starter was so tasty - highly recommend.
We had a lovely time! It was the perfect place to take our toddler out for dinner. Lavisha took good care of us and the food was delicious.
Excellent food, such fast service and Laveesha was very friendly and approachable. Lovely experience 10/10
Laveesha our Waitress was very friendly and kind to us. She was very efficient and always had a smile. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable.
Waited two hours to get pasta and my salmon had been burnt to a crisp.
Laveesha is very helpful, we had to wait for a while since they missed our order. But, Laveesha was kindly ordered starters for us and didn t charge us. Thanks Zizi.
Where is my food Ive been here and hour and a half and preordered?
Cornelius and Amelie were lovely and the food was delicious! Lovely start to the Christmas period
Great netball Christmas meal. The staff were fantastic and friendly - thanks Amelie and Cornelius
The last twice Ive eaten here, the staff are slow and the meals are not piping hot as one would expect. When we were served, the staff member was very efficient. Observation showed the rear door from Jesus Green was in constant use from non eaters accessing the toilet facility. While I accept where needs must. Leaving all the doors open so theres a constant draught made our eating experience uncomfortable. I wont hurry to go back.
The food was amazing, the staff were lovely however the toilets, toilet area and stairs were disgustingly filthy - what a shame!
Nice service. Waitress Viviana is good and kind. Really appreciated
Very good food.
Awful awful time. Took 3 hours to get our food and it came out staggered, cold and wrong. No one came to see us, ask for any additional drinks and it took 25 minutes just to get the kids lollies and get out of there. Appalling service. There were other customers also having a terrible time so at least we were in good company. Dietary restrictions: They did have vegan options and those did come out clearly labelled and with no issue. Kid-friendliness: They gave out paper to draw on but with no crayons / pens / pencils.
Appalling service, pre ordered all food and book3d for 7.30pm. Still.in restaurant at 10pm and still not recieved pudding. No offer of any refill of drinks, no cutlery, no clearing the tables in between, no staff. The worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. To be told by the manager they had no staff is a joke, when in management you shouldnt take on bookings if you cant keep your customers happy and the service standards up. Just Appalling.
Extremely disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for our order, only to cancel it and leave out of frustration. To make matters worse, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold, and we had to keep our coats on the entire time.
Love Zizzi, woo!
Not a good experience. It was freezing and a lot of diners kept their coats on. It took an hour for our food to arrive after ordering and one of the dishes was the wrong one. No one came to ask how the food was. To be fair they deducted the cost of one of the meals.
I just love pizzas here Visited others Zizzi restaurant and was quite disappointed in one. But I find pizza here exactly how I like, service was OK, food came quickly, atmosphere relaxing. Food : 5/5
Excellent food and great servixe by Laveesha. Never disappoints. Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options. Food : 5/5 |
worst pizza ever, the pizza was HARD,COLD and DRY NO MORE WORDS NEEDED
Night before sons wedding in Cambridge.many of us had travelled hundreds of miles. Orders taken, but we waited over an hour for food, while delivery guys in crash helmets, walked past our table to pick up bags full of food. Service was a shambles, food was not great for the price. Complaint made sat for a further 20 minutes before manager came to talk. Drinks knocked off the bill, would we return again. Dont think so.
Great food and great service. Our waitress Amelie was very attentive and charismatic!
Had a lovely meal tonight with great service by Amelie, couldn t have asked for more she was amazing! Will definitely be coming back
Absolute joke...service was appalling. No words We waited 2 hours, 7 of us..3 walked out! Im sure the manager was hiding. Never again. Zero stars would be my choice.
very nice food good speed of service would recommend. The Manager was also very welcoming and helpful with recommendations.
Always love coming to Zizzi, great food and a lovely atmosphere! Our server Amelie was wonderful!
We had a lovely dinner last night. Team was really friendly, the view its really nice. Romantic dinner with candle on the table. We Will back soon Food : 5/5
Super organized restaurant, with fast and attentive service. The cuisine is truly excellent, with well-made and tasty dishes. You can see that there is attention to detail and a lot of passion. Ideal for a pleasant and worry-free dinner. Must try!
Nice place if you like Italian food. Didnt realise you couldnt get a steak here. Would of liked a but more seasoning on my food and dont like the stock answer of well you should of asked for it to be seasoned. For me, food a little plain but food service and not expensive. Easy to get to and if you like Italian Im sure youll be happy.
The food is really good and i love the way they serve the extra parmesan cheese, the staff is always around they re quick helpful and always in a good mood but sometimes it gets quite crowded but the service is still good
Popped in for lunch mid week, fantastic service by Amelie, so friendly and helpful with adjustments and requests! Thank you! :)
Lovely next to park snd quiet because it was 3.30. I love the king prawn linguini and the chocolate melt but could do with a bigger scoop of ice cream
Our server Emily was awesome and made sure that we had a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!
I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Our server Emily was so nice, the food was delicious and affordable, and we had a great view of the park!
Great food and quick service. The menu is also much better than Pizza Express and the pizzas are better!
I visited Zizzi regent street today .it was really awesome experience for me .food was really great for presentation service they reserve 5 star .
had an awesome experience at this restaurant! The food was beautifully presented and definitely worth the money. The service provided by Sam was superb attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place
I went to eat at Zizzi in Regent street with my wife. We really enjoyed the food, the rustica Piccante looks amazing and also was super testy, my wife had the lasagna was also very good. We also had Tiramisu for pudding. The cocktail are great. The service was lovely, friendly staff and also fast service. Vegetarian options: zucca salad, mozzarella garlic bread
Great time and lovely dinner. Food was amazing, We choose the sharing board antipasti and was super tasty, with a fantastic Italian Cocktail Aperol spriz the combination was perfect. For main we had rustica campagna pizza and casareccia pollo piccante we love it. We also had a bit of space for the pudding and we went for the classic one the tiramisu . We really loved our meals and the portion size is perfect, the food arrived quickly even if the resturant was busy. The atmosphere is so cozy and nice, and you feel to be in Italy. We also enjoyed the service. Overall we are very satisfied for choosing this location for our dinner. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu it is fantastic
I went with my family for lucunch, the vibes of this place was amazing. We rally enjoyed the lunch and we absolutely enjoyed the ambience, food and services provided by staff. Staff was so polite and friendly. We had rustica pizza, garlic bread, mocha, cappuccino and sweet potato fries. We loved garlic bread which was zizzi s special and rustica pizza. The kids option also it is fantastic my soon really enjoyed the food. Thank you we had a great time Kid-friendliness: Great kids opitions
I recently visited Zizzi, and the experience was fantastic. The pastas were absolutely delicious, with rich, creamy, and flavorful sauces that I still crave. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great menu suggestions that turned out to be excellent choices. Another highlight was the pizza perfectly made and incredibly tasty. Rolling it up and dipping it in olive oil was a simple yet satisfying treat. The ambience is cozy, and the location is great, with a lovely view of Parkers Piece. Its our go-to spot with friends and family. Two of my friends have gluten allergies, and Zizzi offers delicious gluten-free pasta options for them as well. If youre visiting Cambridge or live here and are craving flavorful pasta in a cozy atmosphere, Zizzi is the place to go!
The menu had a good selection, food was well presented and good quality. Prices were also reasonable, particulary the 3 course offer. Service was a bit slow, but staff were helpful. Somewhat dodgy choice of music playing, fair to awful covers of songs.
Amazing place, amazing view in front of parkerspiece. Ordered food and in quick time it was ready, waiters super helpfully about food and drink amazing costumer service. Ill back for sure!
I went yesterday to eat at Zizzi Regen t Street, a table with a wonderful view of Parker s Piece, friendly and always helpful staff, fast service and excellent food, I recommend it to everyone who likes pizza. I will definitely go back
A unique experience. My husband and I were there for our anniversary, the waiters made us feel very special, the food was really delicious, everything was delicious. They really made our anniversary an evening to remember. This restaurant has remained in our hearts, we cant wait to return. Thanks for everything to all the staff Vegetarian options: Pasta crisps Little soul bread Garlic bread Vegan Meatballs Bruschetta Super zucca salad Rustica vegan harissa with Meatballs Crisps-Potato Green beans Vegan lentil ragù Pasta with Tomato Rainbow Lasagna Zillionaire dessert Raspberry collision cheesecake Solted caramel ice-cream Strawberry ice cream Dietary restrictions: They have a varied menu that gives everyone the opportunity to have different choices based on their lifestyle.
Had a lovely visit with excellent service and ambiance.
Called in for a light lunch. Very busy. No evidence of accessible toilet, all were down steps to a cellar area. We had a sharing platter which was enough Wheelchair accessibility: Street level access ok, but toilets were downstairs, and most seating looking over Parkers Piece was up some stairs. Didnt notice ramps etc
we didnt know zizzi, we went there for the first time last night in regent street me and my girlfriend, it was busy but we managed to find a table right away, a waitress came straight away to take our order, shortly after the drinks and food arrived, the food was very good and the waiters were smiling even though it was busy, beautiful experience I recommend you go there
I had a wonderful experience in your restaurant, fabulous place great food and waiters who know what they are doing, but the best thing are the tables overlooking the park, I will return hoping to find a place with a view.
We ate very well, helpful and professional staff, clean place and excellent food. We will definitely return
Clean place, good food and very professional staff. Best pizza in Cambridge
I went to Zizzi thinking to find an average decent cheap food. As I thought this would have been another player in the restaurant chain market. I was wrong on the price. Far too expensive for what the offer and quality was. £16.99 for the crispy prosciutto carbonara would have been acceptable if the pasta was not over cooked and mushy. Nothing on the plate was crispy. And the portion was too small, I dont think there was even 80g of pasta. The kids menu was more convenient: £7.99 for starter, main and dessert. I took spaghetti alla bolognese for my kid and surprisingly the portion was bigger than mine. Also the Bolognese sauce was good, spaghettis were bland with no salt at all (which could be good for a kid menu tbh). Service was nice. The young servers working there were quick to help you, and always smiling. Last note, even if Im Italian Im not fuss about food. That carbonara was very far to be a carbonara, but in all honesty if it was cooked properly I would have probably loved it.
I went on lunch yesterday, the service was fast and amazing , location very beatiful is close on parker peace and quality price is competitive
Great service, friendly staff both front of house and chefs :))))
Really love this place and the food
I went to Zizzis on Regents Street a couple of days ago with my partner for lunch. We share a portion of crispy calamari, cooked well. She had her favourite rustica pinoli and I tried for the first time beef and chianti ragù pasta. The chef seems to have good knowledges, professional service. 10/10
Amazing food and service
Felice and Amilie were wonderfully accommodating and the food was delicious.
Great food, friendly and quick service. Felice and Amelie were really accommodating :)
Food and service was wonderful, Felice and Amelie were so kind and friendly
We had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we ordered 5 plates of spaghetti, and while one arrived within 1-2 minutes, the others took an unacceptable 30 minutes to arrive, even after we had to ask about them. We also ordered three desserts, one of which had been ordered earlier, but it arrived very late as well. To make matters worse, we asked for spoons several times and were never given any. With so few people in the restaurant, the slow service and lack of attention were extremely frustrating and made our dining experience far from enjoyable.
Great view from the window. Chilled atmosphere, tasty food and good coffee
Food was extremely good was served by Ribhu. He was very helpful and warm. % would recommend everyone!
Not a great experience, staff were polite but unattentive, food came out before drinks, and when they did arrive 2/3 were wrong, food was not as described on the menu, the wagyu pizza came without the burrata ball or roquito pearls and the risotto was very oily. There were also lots of fruit flies in the downstairs area near the toilets. A disappointing visit.
Choi~~~~~Evil Dont be fooled into an atmosphere that looks like me... Dont ruin your precious time^^
Thought it looked nice... should have trusted the reviews. Strongly would not recommend Good: Bright, spacious, good view of the park, friendly staff, variety of interesting dishes. Bad: Ridiculously long wait for the food. And the pizza came out lukewarm and the icecream half melted. Also we ordered garlic bread having been told it would be free if we signed up to their membership thingy. Well, we signed up but it didnt give us the coupon they expected... Apparently management sometimes changes things without saying lol. Another long wait while that is sorted out.
Such a lovely restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. We ve never been to Zizzi s before and they ticked every box. The atmosphere was beautiful; gorgeous decor & warm lighting. We weren t pushed into a window seat either which most restaurants try to do. The food was absolutely delicious & very fresh & the service was really genuine, friendly and unhurried. Thank you Amelie for being so attentive and polite and for not hurrying us! We ll definitely be coming back
amazing service from Amelie in Cambridge and wonderful food will definitely return
Great food and amazing staff!!!
Great staff and amazing food
When here was some work colleagues and it was fantastic. There was about 13 of us and they made sure that we all got to sit on the same table. Drinks came out super quick so did the food. We all paid separately and they were amazing at calculating how much it was each. Would recommend Dietary restrictions: Dairy free, gluten-free options
Overpriced. Tiny portions. Decent location but the lights were so dazzling inside and it was super warm, no air con? Don t bother visiting this place! Food
The girl who worked is faster than Usain Bolt in the bar
Not Italian at all. But I understand they cook for English people with a vague idea of real Italian food
Quaint little restaurant
Food was okish but I wasnt happy with the bill they gave me as it included two alcoholic drinks on my bill which was £10 more, if it hadnt been for my husband who asked how much the bill was I wouldnt have queried it as I just put the receipt in my bag,
Another great meal and service! recommend to visit
Spag Bol and garlic bread were unreal Great food , service and vibes Food
It was the worst margarita pizza I had in years. I was thinner my ruler back then in school. Service was good. Food
The restaurant is fabulous The food is so delicious and very tasty Vegetarian options: Há opções Dietary restrictions: Adequado Kid-friendliness: Adequado Wheelchair accessibility: Adequado
food was quite nice. the full height window or opened window wall towards park piece is super nice, especially in the summer. a good place for dating in Cambridge.
Tasty coffee one of the few places in the Cambridge where you can find good espresso
This was the worst Zizzis I ve ever been to. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for food, there were only two serving staff, no managers and the chefs seemed to be dealing only with just eat orders and ignoring the staff in the restaurant. After well over an hour we were told both the salmon risottos were burnt and what else would we like. We were told the rest of the meals were ready but they just sat there and no one brought them out. Other people were sending food back and having long waits. In the end we had to prompt the male waiter that our food was just sitting there getting cold. He then didn t bring it all out. One of the salmon then came out but was burnt. All the food was awful, my mushroom dish was slimy. There was no one in charge to complain to. Elena the other waitress was very nice and apologetic, we ended up walking out after an hour and half having no food that was edible.
Awful food, only made bareable by our lovely server, Alina, She was apologetic as our food came out late, burnt and unedible.. Short staffed, but Alina is a credit to your restaurant. Food : 1/5 |
Shambolic doesn t even cover it! We were told 45 mins to wait, it took much longer than that. When the food finally arrived, it was burnt, or cold, or just plain inedible. Staff in the kitchen seemed to be prioritising the Just Eat orders and neglecting the restaurant customers. Food was left sitting on the counter and not bought to our table. Things were being dropped in the kitchen . The mocktails were awful - like weak children s squash. Customers were leaving having lost patience. We were utterly appalled at the standard of professional service, except for our lovely waitress Alina who was a delight. She was so kind and so apologetic. Zizzis get your act together, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
Staff were lacklustre, at table and would not recognise table number, eventually staff came over. Starter was nice. Went to order main and app wouldnt let us. I ordered chicken, overcooked and no wonder they give you steak knife and Tuscan potatoes had no flavour. We cleared own plates when they bought us main meal. Very disappointing to say the least
Awful food was good but service was very poor, staff had no enthusiasm for their job. It was a theres your food attitude. Went to the toilet came out, no MIND THE STEP on exit of the loos, forgot step was there on way in fell down it on way out. I wont be eating there again.
Average food poor service
Food and value was average, not particularly authentic but it doesnt aim to be either.
The food was really worth it and the service was very good. Will come back again for sure.
The food was no way worth the price. The quality is below the average.
I just wanted to take the time to review Alina, our server on Sat 1st June, the day of the Strawberry Fair. We had our clothes stall there for the day and after closing up we just wanted somewhere warm and quiet to relax whilst waiting for the fair to be over as we were so tired from the day and couldnt sleep in our tent with all the noise! My colleague had the idea of going just to get pudding somewhere so we walked until we found your Zizzi on Regent Street. We were greeted warmly by Alina and she made us feel so welcome even though it was close to closing and we only wanted pudding. One of our orders came out a little wrong and she was so quick to sort it out and apologetic. She was rushing around waiting on the tables and cleaning up and we were just so impressed with her service, friendliness and attitude in general. So thank you Alina for making the end of a very long day enjoyable :)
Great good great service
after dinner I became a scumbag, ps thats me in the photo
Felice really helped us today, many thanks!
Felice was great, good food and even better service
Few minutes ago I have been there Food was ok but time to pay bill not.Why worker ( black skin man) not ask me about tap just charge alone 7.90£ It is not fair. Food : 3/5
We had three different meals from the Pasta Superiore selection. Food was ok but expensive for the portion sizes. Not very much pasta and three meatballs for £18, not impressed.
Service is bad..
its been 45 mins. no food, no service no atmosphere. the clock is running. only got a bottle of wine with 1 clean 1 dirty glass (which is agreed to be changed). horrible, painful, shocking..
I never leave reviews but seriously got to WARN people. Worst restaurant experience ever. Do not eat here
Average best describes this place. Food was average. Service average. The prices were the only thing above average. But it is Cambridge.
Used to love it here but not just okay thing time. Food was nice but pasta over-peppered and did seem expensive for what you get. Polite staff to show to table and main server, but understaffed overall, was 8 of us and 2 courses (with us chatting and not hurrying) took 3 hours though we weren t in a hurry the staff were very difficult to get hold of, visibly frustrated and clearly didn t want to be there. Wheelchair accessibility: We did not need but not accessible, stairs to get in, up levels to eat and to toilets.
Visited here in May 24 we had to walk out after 40 minutes of waiting, we did manage to order food and drinks - but after 30 minutes we had to walk away (without receiving anything). I really hope things have changed and more staff have been hired
A great place for family dining. Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs for infants and crayons for kids. There is a good value and healthy kids menu. Food : 5/5 |
A wonderful lunch of bruschetta, salad, & pasta,
Nice place to eat but not enough staff to serve the numbers of seated dinners when I was there.
Great atmosphere and food!
Usually love this place but today was an exception. Overcooked salmon main course for me, hardly any prawns in the King Prawn Linguine for my husband. Very rowdy family party seated behind us despite the restaurant being nearly empty at that time. Luckily they decided eventually to move of their own accord! Such a shame. Parking: Use Queen Anne Car Park a short walk away.
Amazing, well-coming staff!! Loved to come back to this restaurant in Cambridge for dinner. I had order the Tiramisu Espresso Martini and it was incredibly delicious! Always happy to see my favourite waitress always smiling and making me want to come back! Came at a busy time but the service was excellent as always! Vegetarian options: Vegan Rainbow lasagne is a must to try!
Great place for food
Vegetarian options: Nothing much Food
Ordered with my mate herb pork and the prawn pasta, the pork was so dry and hard to cut, it was difficult to chew, the pasta was really uncooked to the point my friend was having bloating and feeling sick, for the price i really expected better but honestly will not be coming back
Delicious vegan
Beautiful and clean restaurant. Food was delicious! Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly server Naman. Thank you so much. We will be definitely back.
Eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. It used to be a special treat. Not so anymore. It s incredibly grim. Place is filthy. Staff aren t visible or interested. Food is at best mediocre. It s bit like dining on the Marie Celeste. Hardly any other customers. Just a few Deliveroo deliveries taking place. We won t be going back. There are other, much better options. Oh, the wine at £27 a bottle was disgusting.
nice location service and ambience poor
9 of us went to this restaurant after the show at nearby Cambridge Art Centre. It was booked in advance. Polite staff showed us to our table and after a few minutes came to take our order. Requested that we would be grateful if they could bring one of the actors meal as soon as possible as they have to go back for the second show. No problem what so ever. In fact the meals came within 20 minutes of ordering them. All pizzas were delicious and the Rainbiw lasagne was to die for. Overall, very good experience and recommend this restaurant.
Fabulous atmosphere and food. Apurva waitress she is absolutely excellent and best drink runner. We all enjoyed our work party. Will come back again Thanks zizzi
Worst carbonara I have ever had. Heard pizzas are better but cant comment on that.
Service was ok but we felt the staff were overworked. We didnt order starters as we were eating before going to the theatre. Main courses were ok, but the Calzone pizza my partner ordered looked small. The desserts we wanted were not available and the coffee machine was not working. We were very relieved it was not a meal to celebrate a special occasion. Wont rush back there again. Have already given up on the Zizzi in Benet Street in Cambridge. It seems that standards at this chain have dropped badly over the last few years.
Very good Italian for lunch or dinner. They are interested in any food allergies you may have and are careful. The service is good and attentive and the food is very delicious. I ordered the linguine with prawn and they were delicious, but be careful if you dont like spicy, because they are quite spicy. I highly recommend the ricotta ice cream and the salted caramel ice cream.
Pizzas were so good today, and a lovely waitress serviced us.
Please give Nicola a promotion!
Really tasty food, great service and nice friendly atmosphere
Really bad service! Taking at least 20-35 mins to take the order! But the food is delicious Really nice) Food : 4/5 |
Tried four types of pasta - all were delicious. Lausanne almost smells like smoke - because there is a real oven. Places are available in the evening. But the prices are a bit overpriced.
Nice atmosphere overlooking the park. Friendly, helpful staff. Food is very good. As expected from Zizzi.
It was my first time in Zizzi and i truly enjoyed the food! Our server (dark haired pretty lady with nice eyelashes, wasnt able to get her name!) was commendable. She greeted us with smile and suggested what to order. Quick to act and also pro active, checking on us every now and then. (She deserves a raise or promotion!) It was 3rd of April, around 5pm and my family just finished tour of Cambridge. The Rustica Sticky Pig pizza was one of a kind. My kids loved the chorizo carbonara. The starter Fonduta Formaggi was also good, albeit the bread a bit hard but the cheese was superb. We didn t realize what we ordered was filling as the portions are generous, def good for sharing. It was sad that their machine for coffee/hot drinks was not working that time but nevertheless, we enjoyed our dining experience there. We sat on a table overlooking the big field outside and it was a relaxing and nice view just looking at the people playing ball or strolling on the field. . Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the dishes. The rustica sticky pig has some spicy or hot parts for my youngest (his tolerance is low) but he ate other parts of the pizza.
The chips were too salty. Tried complementary pasta chips which was nice. Casareccia pesto rosso was good ..
The drink service and cocktails was excellent made by Apurva
Amazing service and response from Megha . Food and beverages were served quick. A must visit place and good ambience.
Great food! Apurva was really wonderful.
Always loved it here but went a few weeks ago and appeared to have a change in staff and management. Staff didnt seem to want our custom. I had the meatballs with tomato sauce and the sauce had raisins in it which was not nice. The toilets looked like they hadnt been properly cleaned. Very disappointed.
Not great by any means. Food uninspired, service OK, place pretty empty & cold, consequently, no atmosphere whatsoever.
We had two delicious meal, the best weve had so far in our trip to England. We had the lasagna and pizza. The service was quick and friendly. We met the owner briefly and she a so kind. We would definitely recommend Zizzi s to anyone coming to Cambridge.
Great food. Thank you to the chefs. Lovely staff, friendly, knowledgeable and pretty quick service. Let down by the loos which hadnt been cleaned and sadly were in a poor state. Food
Excellent service (Jarro) , best Sticky Pig I have had so far (I have had a few). Pork and Garlic meatballs are very yummy also.
Everything is bad
One star because I can t give it less. It was terrible in every aspect.
If you are in Cambridge and want to eat well, Zizzi is a good option. They have a variety of Mediterranean food, healthy options for children and good desserts. They have served us very quickly, we have had very good service and attention. I recommend it to you.
Food was amazing. We really loved our meals and the portion size is perfect. The atmosphere is so cozy and nice. Overall we are very satisfied for choosing this location for our lunch today.
This is a good sized restaurant with a wide selection of food with a variety of Italian foods to choose from.We had lunch here. The food was good the service quick and efficient. We had a table next to the window overlooking the park. All in all a pleasant afternoon. This restaurant doesnt accept cash.
Disappointed really, I waited 10 mins to be served once sat down. When ordering drinks , I was told that a chocolate machine was not working, so I couldnt have any chocolate. Tried to pace my order by the speedy service, but the wifi was not working and couldnt get a signal on mobile data. Tried to attract a member of staff, but no one came over for about 8 mins. The young man was very polite and served us well. Our food did not arrive and.it wasnt until a young lady came.over and asked if everything was OK that I explained we were still waiting for our food. She went away and when she came back told us our food would be around another 10 mins. When It arrived, the food looked and tasted nice, but the portion seemed smaller than usual.
Had a great time. Service and food highly commended. Seabass was the best Ive ever had
Food was cold.I would complain but then would another long wait. 1st option for main they run out. Since when you pay £2 for affogato. I didnt know you could call affogato without coffee. Tables were dirty , but they seem busy.
Very good food and excellent customer service. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Will definitely come to this brunch in Regent Street, Cambridge.
Good pizza
Good Italian food, great service and a very good atmosphere
Over priced for a simple meal. We booked for our Valentines dinner expecting at least a minimum decor for Valentines day, but to our dissapointment there isnt any, and there were no music at all, at least put on some soft music on the background while we dine. Total dissapointment
Great stop for a casual meal. Solid . Great location overlooking the park.
Good view of the green or the street
Bustling pre Christmas meal with friends. Staff worked their socks off. Food was fabulous. Great time had by all. Would recommend.
Terrible, they took my order, charge me for it and never delivered. Very bad services Food
We came for dessert, but my experience of coming here was very different from previous visits. The restaurant was very quiet, so it should have been a short service time, but from the time we ordered, someone came back with our dessert, and it was very long so much so that a member of the team had to come and ask if wed paid for our food before receiving the order. I feel there was more staff than customers dining, and they alone were loud and sitting on tables or at the bar. I wouldnt go back for dessert again as it was far too sweet and heavy.
The restaurant was very cold!! Visiting the toilets was like walking into an ice box. The food was good, but I did prefer the old menu. Food
Foods are delicious but the service is so slow
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences in a while - I m talking decades! The food was dreadful - the pizza was anything but a pizza - the vegetables were burnt (how can one burn green beans one wonders) - the lasagne was repulsing and even the olives tasted weird. The waiters were slightly attentive but had no idea about what was on the menu. And the restaurant was not heating. Tea was not available as there was no milk??? Ever heard about Tesco next door? The chef must have had his very first day! I m sure every 1st semester student can cook better than this.
Went last night around 7pm. Put next to window, it was so cold we had to keep our coats on. Large draft also coming through gap in sliding doors. Waiting 20 minutes plus to order, although it was not busy at all and each time had to get attention of staff, who were all congregating together. Food was barely warm. No hot drinks when asked, as machine not working. Customer Service was more of an apathetic approach. Service charge added on bill automatically. Been plenty of times in past and really enjoyed. Wont be going again after this experience.
It was a Sunday evening, but the reheated food was very disappointing and service was lackadaisical.
Long wait between course and getting bill. Food good
Food was tasty but greasy, service was quick restaurant was quite and empty. Problem with the heating didnt help as it was cold in there. Would not be returning here in a hurry .
We booked our table via automated system on the phone. When we arrived to the restaurant they did not have our booking recorded. We were lucky to get the table anyway as the restaurant was full. They were understaffed, only one waiter that was trying to multiply himself and serve all the tables. I felt honestly sorry for him. We had to wait 45 minutes to have our order taken and then another half an hour to get our starters. The management should plan better for the weekend. It is a big traffic and you need to have an extra person in case somebody calls off sick. Or you should come on the floor yourself to help struggling employees and hungry customers. I hope at least you pay them extra for such a difficult shift. Food was mostly nice and decent (pizzas, bass, prawns, fonduta formaggi) but stay away from calamari.
Very disappointing! The food was average at best and way overpriced. There was no service as the order is supposed to be done online, which the waitress who sat us down forgot to mention. When the online system didn t work a nice gentleman took our order however that was to be the last of voluntary staff interactions. We had to ask for plates and cutlery when the starter arrived. The mushroom risotto did not have much mushrooms and it s accompanying chicken skewer did not taste fresh. The 6 layer lasagne was squished and not particularly tasty. Overall a complete waste of money.
Great food and a nice atmosphere
This place had a nice setting but the service was awful and food was stolen cold
I enjoy the food at zizzi. However the service is very poor. Over an hour for our main and 20mins just to order dessert which we decided against after taking so long. And the waitress was rude expected much better.
What service? waitress more interested in make sure her make up was ok rude and so unhelpful manger said would give me vouchers to my email address to make up for it surprise surprise no vouchers came
I went there with some Italians that recommended it and some other coworkers. The rustica entries are my italian coworkers favorites and we all ordered from that section of the menu. I liked the thin pie and the pepperoni to me was more like a chorizo which I like better. The service was a bit slow, but possibly because the place was busy. If I visit again and in the mood for pizza, I will go again.
Was very very disappointed. As I booked especially your restaurant as I had a £50 gift card only to be told you werent excepting them. No mention of this anywhere when I booked and only when I said I had a card you wouldnt except it. Furious doesnt even come close. The fact that someone had already spent £50 on buying us it. Its just not right. Our food was brought but wasnt asked if we wanted any parmigiana on top which we did. And no one come to see us until we asked to pay. Very disappointed and definitely wont return any time soon.
