Home style Korean Bibimbap restaurant
This is a top favourite of mine. It's on the other side of town from my house so every time I am going past it at an appropriate meal time, I'll go! Everything is perfect. It is cosy and not fancy (I don't like fancy), food perfect, service utterly delightful. I'd go every week if I could.
First experience of bibimbap and it was absolutely delicious. Can highly recommend the spicy pork bulgogi version. Lovely, friendly and quick service on our early evening visit. It’s only a small restaurant and not overly aesthetic but the food more than makes up for it. Great little find and we will be back, I’m sure.
This is a great Korean food place. Had a whole lot of orders, yet managed to deliver our orders in record and reasonable time. Would highly recommend. The aloe vera drink was spot on with the dish. Had the order 2 and 3 from the menu. For a Korean food, this is really good. Will visit again soon In the meantime, I'll keep exploring food places on Mill road😁
Fantastic lunch experience! The food was outstanding - flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Can't wait to return!
Little place on Mill Road (I’m guessing) run by lovely mother and daughter. We enjoyed the kimchi bibimbap & the pork bibimbap as well as the tteokbokki. Food was served piping hot. Portions were generous and well presented. The menu isn’t massive, they mainly serve bibimbap but they have side dishes of meat and japchae and some starters too. Would definitely come here again over the other Korean chain restaurant.
Lovely, tasty Korean food. The Kimbap is fresh and satisfying. The Tteokbokki was hot, spicy, chewy, and everything I was hoping for. This met my expectations and would recommend to others.
If you carving some steaming hot delicious Korean food this place is worth a visit. Me and my BF came here for first time and it was very good experience. Portions where being and food was fresh, hot and delicious. The prices were reasonable too.
Wonderful food. Better if you pay in cash, but the mother and son who work there were extremely kind to show us how to properly eat the dishes and the quality was amazing. I have never had such fluffy and heavenly tteokbokki. Absolutely worth a visit
I had a great experience at a Korean restaurant today. The vegetarian Kimbap was delicious light, flavorful, and just as I expected. The sesame oil taste was perfect, and the vegetables were nice and crunchy. The vegetarian Bibimbap was also very tasty and satisfying, with a generous portion that was just right. The Tteokbokki Ramen was soft, with plenty of filling ingredients like fishcake and vegetables. Overall, it was a great value for the price and definitely worth the visit. I ll be coming back!
I have never eaten Korean food before and was a little worried it wouldnt be great but I actually liked it. Im glad my friends brought me there to try it. They definitely know how to give food some spice and make it still gave some flavor. A lot different from what Im used to back home but definitely give it a try. The staff are very nice and have great customer service skills. Place is clean and the tea is not bad too!
Abundant and tasty food, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly service! I recommend!
It was our first time eating corean food. It was absolutely amazingly delicious. 100% recommend this place.
Very good food
Hands down this is the best Bibimbap in town!
Delicious food, and great portion size. Loved it.
Tasty as hell
Best Korean I ve ever had. Couldn t stop eating once I started to the last morsel.
Wholesome, hearty and positively delicious meal from a 5 star team. Highly recommended!
My favourite place in the world to get vegetarian bibimbap. Truly delicious! Need to remember to factor in that there is already a £1/person service added per person when tipping at the end of the meal. Food : 5/5
Food was mediocre, service non-existent
really yummy, had the pork bulgogi which was really good!!! i would give it 5 if it was a bit less expensive, £6 for a small pot of kimchi was a bit :/ so we didnt get it. the sides are a nice touch but i feel like 1 slice of cucumber doesnt constitute a side. if the side was kimchi i feel like it d feel more worth the money !
Excellent food, big portions and good prices. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. This is one of the best spots in Cambridge!
Food is okay, but you can definitely find better. Staff is friendly and the service is quick Food
The food is wonderful, the store is very clean and neat. The rice cake is very yummy as well as the rice rolls. The beef dong is wonderful and the flavor is very on point.
Had an absolutely spectacular meal here. The restaurant was very busy at lunch time but it was well worth the wait for your food to arrive. Everything was made fresh. It was delicious. Worth the trip into Cambridge if you are craving excellent Korean food! Parking: Parking garage near the pool about three blocks away. Its a paid lot and the spaces are very tight together into.
The best food in Cambridge!!! If you re visiting or here to stay, this place is a must!!! The quality, the portion size, prices, service and atmosphere is unmatched.
Amazing food
Amazing!!!
very empty at first but can get almost filled very quickly. staff are lovely and the food is amazing. i had the beef bulgogi bibimbap and if i had to rate the whole plate, with the extras, 100/100, would have again for breakfast, lunch, dinner, nightmeal. absolutely slayed whoever made it so props to you for making the highlight of the day! next time i will definitely be ordering kimbap, on the menu it looks stunning and when i saw it being served to someone else it did not disappoint like some restaurants do, the kimbap from the menu photo is taken from expectations to reality. for 3 people it can range to about 60-70£ (if you all get one bibimbap each). the tteokbokki is so spicy tho i couldnt handle it but the rice cakes themselves are bang on amazing 119/100 Wheelchair accessibility: no steps :)
Food was really good, I had the japchae bibimbap and it came sizzling hot. Great quality food and the staff were nice.
£8.5 for a splendid tuna Kimbab! Definitely worth the price
It was really good ! You feel the family cooking feeling
I love how delicious the food. The staff were very accommodating and lovely
Incredible food and lovely owners. One of the best places to eat in Cambridge.
I m telling this as a Korean. The food was so good. The service was nice as well. But the thing is It is expensive. I m okay with it. However comparing to price, there s little food. Bibimbab serves with Little soup and thin tofu. I will give five stars tho because of the taste.
Such amazing delicious food! Highly recommend Parking: This road isn t good for parking and can be stressful Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, family s are welcome Wheelchair accessibility: There s no raised step. Not lots of room to sit or eat it s cramped inside
Great place to eat the food is fantastic
Very friendly staff
Some of the best food in cambridge, and not expensive either. Go for ttkeokboki if you love your spice
Had a fantastic experience at Bibimpab house today. The pork bulgogi bibimpab was out of this world. The service was excellent. Very pleased with this restaurant. Will come back soon!
Owner and her son are amazing! Definitely recommending this place 10/10!
Everything super rich. We arrived at 2045 and, even though they closed at 2100, they treated us very kindly. I highly recommend it. I highlight the kindness of the staff and the delicious flavor of the food.
We first visited this place when we were searching for a rental place in Cambridge in 2015. Then it became a fav place for us to go and eat each time we were around. The last I visited this place was last week after a 4 year gap. Its still the same. Still the same quality, same taste and awesome food.
Awesome food.
Tasty food, very friendly staff, and several vegan options.
Delicious food and friendly service. Both the tuna kimchi bibimbap and pork bulgogi bibimbap are yummy.
Got upset stomach after I had lunch there
It was my first time eating here and I loved it, very good!! And very good service
Not cheap, but well worth it and very friendly service. Its small, so best to make a reservation at busy times. Vegetarian options: Good selection for veggies.
A little pricey perhaps. But great food.
Amazing traditional Korean food with fantastic chili sauce!
Have been meaning to try here for years and it didn t disappoint. Pork bulgogi Bibimbap was amazing. We also shared vegetable kimbab and side of Kimchi. All very nice and really reasonable
Always a highlight of the month - a trip to Bibimbap House! After developing a taste for it in South Korea we were so pleased to find this gem - best in Cambridge!
The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is minimalist but cozy. The food itself is also delicious, but unfortunately the portions are not that big for the price.
I have been a big fan of this place since they opened and regular customer. The food is absolutely delicious and freshly made. The owner and waitress are really friendly and polite. However I m disappointed that the portions are getting smaller and the prices higher. When it first opened I couldn t finish my portion, it was that big and it had a lot more veggies, including courgette. Now the amount is tiny and I have to pay a bit more to have a bigger portion, which is not even that big! With a drink is £25 pp, so for a family of 4 it costs £100 to eat in this cafe!! It s ridiculous. The place used to be heaving and now is dead. A real shame. The owner should reconsider prices versus portions. Other places like Petra down the road are better value and therefore full. People are not stupid.
Food was great and staff were really welcoming and helpful. I will need to order the large dish never time! Food
Food was amazing and so much comes on the plate Definitely worth the money
Incredibly tasty food!
Clean, quite, cozy, and most importantly: good food and very nice staff! The owner is adorable we will be back for sure!
Nice Korean resturant. Remember to upgrade your plate to large to be enough :))
Its got kind of expensive
Went to Bibimbap House for dinner - it wasn t too busy and we were seated straight away. The service was lovely, really friendly and quick. I had the japchae bibimbap and shared the tteokbokki. Both were really delicious, great portion sizes and my bibimbap came as a nice set with side dishes and soup. The only thing is it s a little more expensive than other similar restaurants, but I d say it s pretty worth it!
yum.
Lovely run family resturant which reflects in the quality of the food. All the meat was tender and tasty as well as the side dishes. Only pointer I would give in this review is that the £3.00 option for a larger portion is just a bigger bowl, you dont get anymore meat or rice which is a shame but all the food tasted great.
Great place to eat.
Limited menu and all the better for it. Beautifully cooked food which was served quickly. Would recommend
What a lovely hidden gem! Amazing service and flavourful Korean food
Loved our experience here! The ladies here were so accommodating to our group. The food was AMAZING!
Absolutely delicious, definitely worth driving to Cambridge just for this. The waitresses are so sweet and helpful and it felt like we were being looked after by family, would 100% recommend.
Authentic Korean food in Cambridge! Simple and delicious. Food prepared by Korean Mom.
Best place in town for Korean food. Really cosy and friendly service - really welcoming and attentive. Food was authentic and flavourful. Definitely would recommend if in the Mill Road area or looking for a bite near the railway station.
Had the Spicy Pork Bulgogi & Beef Bulgogi and it was amazing! Staff were brilliant and the Bean Beef Curd was lovely. Would definitely go again.
The taste is just amazing. I am used to bigger plates (I ordered the large portion for extra £3 and still felt medium sized) but everything was delicious, you will enjoy from the first bite to the last. Expect to pay ~£20 (05.23) so its in the borderline of moderately priced but the taste makes it worth it. It is a family owned restaurant with a very kind service. Well come Back.
Excellent food and reasonably priced too.
Highly recommend this lovely Korean restaurant. We have ordered Veg Bibimbap, beef Japjae Bibimbap and Dokbokki (spicy korean ricecake) they are all very delicious yum! Recommended dishes
Bibimbap is delicious! Its really generous portion as well. It comes with sides dices and soup!
Best korean meal ive had outside of Seoul
Delicious beef bimbap! Friendly service . Will go again .
Picked up a meal for a picnic - delightful proprietress and absolutely delicious food.
Had a wonderful time eating here. Small business with tasty bibimbap. The owner was super sweet and chatted with us at the end. Highly recommend!
Never eaten Korean food before ,the staff were very friendly with nice recommendations . And very reasonable price ...would recommend
Disappointed by the good reviews. Very pricey for the portion size.
Nice Korean food. Quiet place
My husband and I are big fans of Korean cuisine, and we thought to check this place out for dinner. We were not disappointed! The place is no-frills, but dont let that fool you. The food is amazing, service is attentive, and plenty of options to choose from in the menu. I am a vegetarian and I was very happy with the choices! It seemed to me like the place was family owned and managed, which adds to its charm. As someone who champions small businesses, I was thoroughly pleased - with food, their service, and the ambience. Thank you Bibimbap, we will definitely be back!
Delicious, good, Korean food. Nice, courteous service.
Fantastic food arrived in good time. Great place
Very nice place, with an authentic feel and great food. Unfortunately customer service leads a bit to be desired. I was really annoyed by their cheep tactic to force higher spend. They refused to give a second teacup so that my wife and I could share one teapot. Instead they said we need to buy another serving. We didnt want that much tea and we ended up sharing one teacup. They didnt achieve anything but left a bad impression. Parking: Parking on Mill Road does. It exist. Side streets require resident permits. There is a car park near parkers piece. Kid-friendliness: My kids are picky and the flavoursome food that I like so much makes it hard to find something for them.
Really great food! Amazing service!
Nice bibimbap
Great service! Really loved their rice cake dish. A perfect place when it s cold and rainy outside.
A little gem of a restaurant. Absolutely fantastic authentic Korean food
The food was outstanding. We had the Bibimbap beef and pork menu. You can tell the quality of the ingredients and how carefully they were prepared. Definitely, we will come back for the food and the adorable owner of the local. Thank you!!
Delicious kimbap
Food is delicious, always friendly staff. Good for students who need lunch!! Keep fueled for afternoon
Overpriced (16.5£) for the small posion and quality. Especially 4£ for a glass of canned juice (not fresh) is too expensive. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to try the first time. Many other options to choose from!
The hotpots tasted pretty good. But the portions were small especially for the price. Also one would expect a hotpot place to give us kimchi for free and not charge 4£.
Too expensive, twice as much compared with restaurants with better location. Wont recommend.
Went for lunch on a weekday and it was delicious. Super generous portions and lovely staff.
Great place, lady serving the place treated us with kindness, recommended dishes and was all around a lovely person. Place is clearly run by the family and they care about their customers. Food was plentiful, well spiced and served quickly. Would recommend!
Its my first contact with Korean cuisine and I didnt mind it. Only, the table was a little sticky.
Little restaurant with nice and simple decoration. The food was very good and the quantity was good too. The lady who served us was really sympathetic. I definitely recommend this place.
nice food, unamusing £7 for 3 mouthfuls level of pricing, Ive just had lunch and now Im off into town for lunch (again) I feel like Ive just been scammed.
Lovely small cafe with fine choice of bibimbap meals...with can of cola and an extra portion of kimchi it cost me 24.5£...but the portion is enough for two
Thanks to the good food and the good owner, it felt like I was back home for a while. I ate well and had a good time~
Had the tuna kimbap here best we ve ever had! Soo addictive we came back and ordered more, we were happily surprised. Tokbokki here was spicier than other places nevertheless very much enjoyed! Authentic and small restaurant, will be back soon
Really cute restaurant! We ordered the veg and tuna kimbap and were surprised at how good the tuna was. We also ordered the sikhye and iced green tea to drink and they came in cute glasses. I recommend the iced green tea for sure! It was a little pricey for our two dishes and drinks- the total came up to about £25.
Google ate my food. I want to get 2 things out of the way, it is on the pricier side, and please google how to eat Korean food (if you don t know) - so you d feel less heartbroken to have eaten rather too quickly or shabbily for the price you pay. But, oh so flavourful. I ordered the Pork Bulgogi Bibimbap; the dish was composed of a few elements: rice, fried egg, bean sprouts and a couple of other veg. The food was flavourful and fresh, the pork tasted impeccable and had a great bite to it. I can imagine feeling comfortable with this meal on autumnal days; it is hearty and warm. I found my meal moderately spicy; you can control the spice by carefully mixing the spicy sauce (gochujang?) and soya sauce according to your taste. There were accompaniments: meat, sauces (x2), braised tofu?, cucumber draped in sauce, and miso soup. There were other items on the minimal menu: sushi-type rolls, sides, tteokbokki (google says a braised spicy rice dish) - descriptions would ve been helpful. The business is small, the service is simple, and the food delicious; perfect for me as I was on the lookout for a quick lunch. But £17.80 later, I think I ll stroll back, casually.
Food was excellent. Never eaten in a Korean restaurant before, but will again definitely. Kimchi much much better than supermarkets.
They seemed to be offended by me not using their sauces. They did care about your opinions.
Delicious food, speedy service, a favourite of Mill Road for us for sure!! Definitely recommend a visit
Great food, great service and reasonable prices. My favourite restaurant in Cambridge.
Mini portion and overpriced
A bibimbap restaurant discovered in Cambridge, England! It felt good to be greeted warmly by a Korean owner. Funnily enough, my part-time job is with a Japanese student. The taste was good, and I was satisfied just being able to eat Korean food despite my tiring schedule.
Lovely food. Good once in a while.
Small portion for a beef bowl at 16.5, additional service charge 1 excluded from the menu, in total 17.5 for such small average quality, quite pricy. Taste mediocre. A bit slow, waited for 25 minutes for serving. Friendly staff though.
Great restaurant Lovely little family place, great food with good portions for the price. They dont sell alcohol but are very happy for you to bring in what you want without charging corkage, the wine merchants just down the road is perfect if you forget to bring a bottle. A real gem of a place, we go there most Fridays and its never let us down.
Great food and service!
Really tasty bibimbap, friendly service and you can now pay by card!
Good food and excellent service. Nice to find a Korean option
Definitely one of my favourites places in town
Amazing bibimbap Service was friendly, and food came very quickly. A great place for lunch :) Food : 5/5
Amazing food and even more amazing service
My boyfriend and I are on a mission to try a bunch of places in Cambridge and we ve been meaning to come by here for a while. Amazing staff The owner is the sweetest and had the best energy when we were served. The food Suchhhh good food. I haven t had proper Korean food since Japan and was so refreshing to find something so close to home. We had bulgogi, kimchi, tteokpokki and yummy kimbap. We will come back again soon!
Amazing food , great service and clean!
Nice food
Used to go here often in person. Got a takeaway tonight - just as good! Delicious! Nice one!
The food is amazing! Honestly its so good! I have spent way too much £ at this place on takeouts during the exams period but its worth it.
The food was delicious and the woman who worked there was so friendly and bubbly!! I ordered the bulgogi japache bibimbap and got a tray full of sauces, a main and some tofu and cucumber. It was very aesthic. I was also given a paper bag for my mask and appreciate the attention to detail! 10/10 would recommend.
Cant recommend it more, authentic Korean food, the portions are nice and big, and the staff is super friendly!
Lovely meal, authentic and delicious. The owner was welcoming and friendly and took the time to chat to us about Korea. We will definitely be going back to enjoy another meal there.
Food was okay, quick, decent, but the service was rude: surly, unhelpful, and a bit condescending.
Really excellent food and service and very reasonable price for Cambridge. Will certainly be coming back!
Lovely food and very friendly staff.
Foods were ok, but maybe we came in a busy time the waiter was terribly rude and rushed, would not recommended.
Gorgeous little restaurant operated by an incredible old lady who makes the tastiest dishes. Thanks for a great dining experience!
The food is great and the service is amazing so 10/10! The lady that owns the place is s so sweet!
Very kind owner, foods are hot and delicious
Delicious food
Really good instructor
Good food but a bit pricey for what you get. Very nice and welcoming staff. Decor is pretty straightforward.
These guys are elite.
Such a shame, we came all the way from Hitchin (more than 40 min drive) just to try the tteokbokki and they didnt have it (on an early Saturday night). Their actual menu is reduced and much more expensive from the one they have on their google profile, a third of the items in the menu were covered, so you cant order them and their price has increased 3 to 5 pounds each. The portions were quite small for such a high price. Quite bad managing as the bathroom tap was out of order, especially now with Covid.
Very tasty food! We had a few varieties of bibimbap and they were all excellent. The menu is just the right size, there is an interesting selection of drinks and the owner is absolutely lovely.
Lovely family run Korean restaurant with some vegan options and generous sizes. We ordered the japchae bibimbap without the fish cakes and the plate was lovely presented with delicious side dishes. Super recommended!
Good food portion for the money you pay. I ordered a veg bibimbap which came with soup and two side dishes. Overall it was a good meal. I will definitely come back next time I visit Cambridge!
This was my favorite place near base to get bibimbap. Everyone I brought also loved it.
I ordered bulgogi bibimbap. I recommend it to those who like vegetables and bean sprouts. It was surprisingly served in a stone pot. My mother enjoyed it
Lovely food, huge portions as well!
Very nice food and service. You feel that you are back in Korea
Too expensive but Bibimbob is good.
Lovely, authentic Korean food. Similar to what I had in Korea. Big portions and friendly service. The food was served sizzling hot. Was tempted to go for the large portions, but glad I didnt. :)
Love this restaurant which just serves about 9 versions of the Korean classic dish Bibimbap. I think they have a very few limited sides now as well. Meal about £10. Its my favourite place to eat in Cambridge.
Delicious Bulgogi
Absolutely delicious bibimbap. Definitely the best bibimbap weve had in the UK and quite possibly some of the best Asian food in the south full stop. Highly highly recommend.
One of my favourite places to eat on Mill Road.
Surprisingly good food and interesting flavours. But the highlight is the politeness of the people that work there and the feeling you were being served a home cooked meal, it made the experience so much better. My thanks to the staff who were very kind and had a happy attitude!
Cute little Korean restaurant. Delicious and good value!
great food and such a cosy atmosphere
The staff was really friendly and the food was awesome!
Lovely home cooked Korean food, we ll be back!!
Such a great place. Really friendly and amazing food :)
Wonderful food and lovely women working there. Highly recommend. Thank you B house for the amazing comfort dinner before my big test
