SORRY, we don't take reservations, it's just a walk-in restaurant now. Look forward to welcoming back to our restaurant!
The food is so spot on!! We got spicy pork bulgogi, bibimbap, prawn tempura, japchae. Every item was so well made, fresh vegetables full of flavour. We also initially sat down but then decided to take away and they were really great about it, plus about my 2.5 year old running around and using the potty 3 times! One thing to consider is making it a bit more child friendly, but honestly I see from a business standpoint they don’t need to - they probably get tons of people and students. Special shout to Ann who was really lovely with my daughter, thank you!
Rudest restaurant experience in very long. The plates and drinks were taken from our table before we even finished. A bill arrives immediately, without us asking for one and seconds later they came to charge us. I've never been kicked out of a place before... The food was pretty ok but relatively expensive for what we got. The restaurant is in the basement without natural light.
We visited Bury St Edmunds in the day and went across to Cambridge in the evening. We wanted to try Korean food as we had very nice Bibimbap somewhere else before. The restaurant is in the basement so can be easily missed. We ordered the dumplings and fried chicken wings as starters and then the dolsot bibimbap. The food came quickly and was hot. The dumpling was nice but there was too much batter on the chicken wings. The taste was not very nice. Bibimbap was ok. Was very hot but tasted quite bland. We were given some chilli sauce to go with it but that doesn't really add to the taste. They charged us service charge for not much service at all. Overall a bit disappointed, maybe because we had higher expectations after reading some reviews.
We came across this little gem after being let down by another Korean restaurant, and I'm glad we did! Service was polite, friendly and punctual but it's all about the food isn't it? We ordered tteokboki and dumplings for starters and for mains, chicken bulgogi, beef bulgogi and a generous bowl of noodles with spicy pork. Everything was cooked really well, extremely flavourful and carried a nice level of spice. For the price we paid for our meal, it was more than fair. It definitely cheered us up and top marks again to all the service staff and the kitchen. We will definitely be back! 😊
This restaurant is an excellent choice for those looking to quickly satisfy their hunger, as the food arrives almost at light speed - perfect for an empty stomach. However, while the service is remarkably fast, the taste of the food is average. The bibimbap deserves a special mention as it was served piping hot, which was a plus. The atmosphere is interesting; the staff cleared our table very swiftly after we finished eating, despite the restaurant not being crowded that night. This gave my friend and I the subtle hint that it was time to leave after paying the bill. Good for a quick meal, but perhaps not for a leisurely dining experience.
I had a dinner with friends at little Seoul and it was a good surprise! Service was really good and food came quickly! Starters were delicious (korean pancakes and pork dumplings) and the main was great! Good value for price! Definitely going back!
This place is easy to miss. It’s at the corner of Regent Street in Cambridge and there are steps down to a basement that lead to the restaurant. Service was swift and friendly, so this is good for work lunch when you have limited time. Bibimbap was delicious and other dishes were tasty and well presented. Great for lunch or dinner. Will definitely return.
We were in the mood for some Korean food the other night and decided to try this restaurant in Cambridge. The restaurant is located in a busy road and the nearest parking is less than 10min walk. No booking was needed, we just walked in. The front of the house was friendly and directed us to our table. The waitress was also friendly and our order was taken quickly. The food was ready quickly and didn’t have to wait too long. The food was ok but nothing to be excited about. The best dish was the chicken wings and the pork dumplings. It was finger licking good! Portions were decent and we left the place feeling full. The bill was ok, not very expensive for what we had. If you believe this review has been helpful for you, please don’t forget to press the 👍 button. Thank you.
very polite and wonderful service, the food was just lovely and hit the spot. Very hearty and homely food, made to feel very welcome
Great Korean food and welcoming service.
Great Korean food, highest quality in Cambridge
We had beef bulgogi, katsu chicken, veg dumplings, kimchi, and bibimbap and everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
We came in as three moms with three kids, it s a lot but the service was fast and efficient, food was phenomenal, and we will definitely come back! Bravo!
Great comfort food, love supporting local businesses. Love this secret gem!
I booked the table to celebrate my wife s birthday. We were made very welcome by the staff. The menu is very comprehensive. The food is excellent and very flavourful. We had a wonderful time.
Love the Bulgogi, although the entrance is a bit confusing.
Good.. Stir-fried pork is a real treat I will go again if I feel like Korean food.
Got the bibimbap and it was delicious and came quickly too and was cheap too The staff were sweet as well Food
lovely food, i would recommend the kimchi fried rice! also, big portions for a small price. Vegetarian options: lots of accidentally vegetarian options!
Went here for dinner after reading decent reviews, it was soooooooo good! We got a few different dishes including dukpoki, assorted kimchi, spicy pork noodles, bulgogi and it was all delicious. Served quickly and staff were helpful. Will definitely come back :)
Lovely Korean food in Cambridge! Authentic!
This restaurant is so cool, the food was affordable, the staff was helpful and spoke Korean and they were really authentic.
Food, service and portion sizes all brilliant. Vegetarian options: Everything on menu has vegetarian option Food : 5/5 |
The business lunch was not bad, and the hot kimchi pot was really delicious on a rainy day. The restaurant space is not large and it is in the basement, so the lighting and ventilation are not that good.
The food is amazing, not expensive and the everyone super friendly. I have been in Cambridge for over 5 years and this keeps being my ultimate favourite restaurant!
Amazing service, food and staff
Food all ways good and good prices
Fantastic little restaurant. We were seated quickly and when ordered there was not a long wait for the food. The kimchi pancakes were very good, then had the beef bulgogi and the spicy pork noodles. Servings were generous and food tasty. Prices arent terrible either Would definitely go again.
Nice!
Such a charming little restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
Good food in a reasonable price
Tasty Korean dishes and very friendly staffs. The dishes are served very fast.
The best kimchi jigae I ve ever had in Cambridge. Bimbimbap and bulgogi are delicious as well. Fair price and staffs are very friendly. I would go there again for kimchi jigae
alright bulgogi
Food is amazing. Best Korean in Cambridge. Always get vegetarian bibimbap. Spicy or honey rice cakes are good, but for the price they cost they could afford to put in extra rice cakes. Always served with side dishes which taste good. Overall, really recomend Little Seoul! Vegetarian options: You can always ask for vegetarian bibimbap (which has tofu in it) And I always get my tteokbokki with only rice cakes.
Delicious food. The best Korean restaurant in Cambridge with quality and very friendly and helpful staff. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options and the staff are helpful with accommodating vegetarian versions of dishes.
I was utterly disappointed to find out that the Korean-style noodles with spicy pork was made with the instant noodles Shin Ramyun as its base.... It shouldve been mentioned on the menu IN ENGLISH (have asked my Korean friend and they said its indicated in Korean that its instant noodles). As its quite obvious that the cost of a pack of Shin Ramyun is way lower than what they charged at the restaurant, I can only leave one star for this dish...
foods and services were amazing and staff are also very friendly indeed. Definitely recommend this best Korean restaurant in cambridge. Excellent food and service at a Korean restaurant in Cambridge
Found this cosy Korean restaurant on my way back to the station which can be easily missed, as the restaurant is actually located in the basement with a small signee entrance on the street. The space is a bit packed but the service is attentive. Wasn t feeling too hungry so just ordered the japchae and soybean chige which is a rich soybean soup with seafood, tofu and vegetables. The japchae is very flavourful and it is definitely a good surprise, and in comparison the soybean soup is not as special with lots of cucumbers and spring onions instead of a wide range of vegetables as I previously expected.
good food
It was so rainy outside and I came in drenched, however, our servers were lovely, especially Anna and Minhha. It was so cute and cosy. I would defo recommend if you want to go for a little date or an evening meal.
Rude staff
- it gives pressure on you when theyre like monitoring you and tries to take away your plates the moment they think like youre Done eating , ofcourse after asking... They would say theyre not putting pressure but it does gives pressure... - Food was great though - background music is nice and feels sad...
Bad service
Perpetration of food very quickly. The staff are amazing and helpful. The food is delicious, my girls love dumplings and rice cake soup a lot!! Surprisingly, it was quite quiet on Sunday lunch. Food
We were lucky to get a table for 5 on a busy Friday evening. The food and service were very good
I lived in Korea for 2 years and this is undoubtedly the best Korean food that I ve ever had outside of Korea.
This is a great restaurant a little out of the way. The food is authentic and the staff are very friendly.
The food is delicious and their sweet cinnamon punch is amazing
We went to Little Seoul for our wedding anniversary. We were a party of 7. The food was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly and attentive . The trainees were great too. Cant wait to go back .
Delicious food, they also prepare most meals on the menu as vegetarian versions (with tofu). Really friendly and attentive waitress too! Worth checking out for authentic Korean cuisine!
I hadnt been here for a couple of years. Still as tasty and original as ever!!
Tasty kimchi fried rice. Will definitely come back.
Little Seoul is housed in the basement of a building, insulating its diners from the noise of the cars on the busy main road it sits besides. The waitress was lovely: very polite, patient and attentive. While we waited for our order, she brought us a complimentary egg roll and tofu in soy sauce. We started with some sweet chilli fried chicken - gorgeous meat, thick breaded exterior, and leaning more on the side of chilli and less on sweet. We also enjoyed the seafood and tofu soup with rice - a decidedly fishy flavour, tempered by the neutrality of the tofu. A bim bam bop of assorted goodies including meat (beef?) pieces and a fried egg came with a miso soup. Lastly for mains, we had a sizzling plate of rib meat with the most wonderful fried onions Ive ever enjoyed. Dessert was a red bean sorbet: an assortment of fruit, red beans and condensed milk upon shaved ice. I particularly liked receiving my Diet Coke in a glass bottle (it just always tastes better!). Together with a second drink and gratuity, the total was £55.55. The only thing preventing me from choosing 5* is the lack of natural light, and the slightly more spicy than sweet profile of the chicken.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Excelent food, excelent service
Had the best Bibimbap here, top level service by the staff. Had a great experience
Lovely atmosphere, and delicious Korean food in the heart of Cambridge! Strongly recommend!
always a favourite, the tteatboki and tempura prawns are a MUST
Underrated and inconspicuous place. I was introduced to this by a Korean friend. This is the best Korean place Ive been to in Cambridge, although that is admittedly a very low bar. This place is run by Koreans, and the food is actually decent! Some of its chicken was sweeter than expected, possibly to make it more acceptable to the British palate, and you probably cant go wrong with whatever youre getting
The food is delicious
The restaurant has a very cozy vibe. Could sit there all day. The staff was very kind and made us feel at home. They have a great menu with a selection of Korean food and beverages. The food arrived quickly and was probably one of the tastiest Korean meals I ve had in a while. I would definitely recommend stopping by here.
I went to this place because I was craving some quick Korean food. The staff was friendly and the kimchi stew was delicious.
Always great food when i eat here. Great portions. Great staff
I waited till 6pm to eat here hoping it might be better than the nearby Chinese restaurants. I regretted my choice, it s not the best Korean food I ve had
Beef spare ribs are the best! Pancakes, dumpling soup, and anything with kimchee!
Great food, very nice and quick service. Very reasonably priced! Went there just after easing of restrictions in May 2021 and they used hand sanitisers and checked my temperature which made me more at ease.
The honey citron tea is unlike any other, but relatively speaking, the food is average for Korean food.
Great food, very quick, very good service, and very reasonably priced, ~£20 a head for starters, mains & alcoholic drinks.
Fantastic service, great food, super reasonable prices.
Dont live in Cambridge but every time weve visited weve been here! The kimchi fried rice and soups never miss
The sweet chilli chicken is the best fried chicken Ive ever eaten.
I liked the food and service, recommend The food tasted very good and the service was at high standard they even gave me 2 small chocolate when I paid the bill appreciate it
Amazing food with big portions for the price. Staff is really nice and friendly, highly recommend!
Comfort food. My husband and I ordered their lunch menu after church on Sunday. Service was quick, attentive and they offered free banchan. Very fuss free lunch, will return
Soup was bad
I could eat here EVERYDAY!!! The food is amazing and the service is unmatched!! Ive eaten here 5 times since June and the food gets better and better every time. Kimchi - PERFECT! Bulgogi - PERFECT!! Budae jigae - PERFECT!! I lived in Seoul for 3 years and this food takes me back there instantly I would strongly recommend you cancel tonights dinner plans and eat here!!
The bulgogi was soooo dry and the only taste that I could get out of the grilled eel was sweet. Wont go back.
I haven t been to this place for years, as I moved to Japan, where, surprisingly, I couldn t find any Korean restaurants serving food as good as the food I had in Cambridge, at Little Seoul. I m coming back to Cambridge, soon, and I m hoping this place is as good as it was. I m very much looking forward to a Spicy Pork Bulgogi, and some Crispy Chilli Chicken Wings. The portions were always fair, service was polite, and the food was delicious. I can t wait.
Great Korean food
Small area but very friendly and warm atmosphere, the food is also delicious, just the right amount to select from on the menu.
Fantastic food and service. All reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Scrumptious
Amazing food amazing staff everything on time. Absolutely enjoyed the food and will visit again.
Good for a quick lunch
Good food in a small downstairs restaurant. I had the dolsot bibimbap with extra side dishes - be warned however that, unlike in Korea, the extra sides are no different from the ones already served int he bibimbap. The kimchi was a tad disappointing in that it hosts a limited array of ingredients and is not very tangy (though I appreciate thats its vegetarian kimchi and avilable in 3 separate bases flavors). The staff are quite sweet and helpful about explaining dishes against dietary restrictions. Altogether, a pleasant place for basic vegetarian Korean food.
Attentive and polite staff, clean interior very calmly decorated and furnished. The host was very accommodating and allowed us time and space to finish our meal even though they had closed. The food was beautiful. I cant recommend the tokbokki enough, as well as the bulgogi. Beautifully seasoned and cooked.
Warms my bones :) so nice - thank you
Utterly awful. Turned up for lunch and the place was cold and empty and stank of drains. They wouldnt let me choose my own table despite the place being empty and stuck me sticking out on a corridor downwind of the smelly toilets. The bibimbap was fridge temperature and tiny portions. Would not go back
It was nice, but too expensive for what it is (£2.8 for a bowl of rice). The Korean pancake was nice but the stew tasted like a ramyeon with more ingredients. Waitress was kind
Really good and authentic. Staff great
Hard to call it Korean food.
Bimbimbap was great, service friendly and fast. Would recommend this place.
Love love love, cute Korean place that consistently delivers authentic high quality food.
Lovely chicken soup and service
I have been many times with a friend & service is always fantastic and food is amazing. Its one of our favourite places to eat in Cambridge, especially when I start to crave tteokbokki!
Very Good restaurant, real tasty Korean food, great atmosphere, kind and helpful staff - we had great evening and recommend this place with all my heart
Highly recommend the dolsot bibimbap and the kimchi pancakes!
Absolutely awesome food, great service and reasonably priced. 100% recommend.
Great food and attentive staff, definitely recommend a visit
Really excellent service and meal thanks
Delicious food, excellent service. The staff are so lovely. My friend and I are BTS Army. We went to Little Seoul for Jimins birthday and the very lovely staff played some BTS songs for us and helped us with a poster of Jimin. Had an amazing time. Such kind staff
We went for lunch, and the food and service were both excellent. Probably the nicest bulgogi I ve had! COVID measures were also very thorough.
My sister and I discovered this place like a month ago and lemme just say: WE LOVED IT. We were craving korean food and we found this place in the main street. The staff is so so so nice, they helped us finding vegetarian options and their service was incredible fast. The food was amazing, so tasty and delicious. We loved hearing kpop in the background, it brought us memories from our last trip to Seoul. We really recommend this restaurant, 10/10, we cannot wait to go back!
Drove an hour to get there to find out it was closed. Wish their opening times are updated.
Cheap and cheerful. Yummy chicken wings
Good, great. It is nice.
Great food and service!
Varied menu, delicious food, fresh produce, friendly staff. Decor could be improved but who cares when the food is that good!
Its true that every chick has its own way of peeing and not peeing. This restaurant can also fool foreigners very well. The waiter is Thai and the chef speaks Cantonese. I ordered the signature hot pot: instant noodles with MSG boiled water + luncheon meat + carrot and onion slices. Students, don t be lazy. It s better to go to the supermarket and spend half an hour on your return.
Its not very spicy for Koreans.
Food good
A really cute restaurant with incredible food
Amazing food, great service, amazingly fast service too. Was so impressed! I Highly recommend giving them a try! We had a party of 7 and there was plenty of room!
Delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommendable!
Nice little place for authentic Korean food!!
Amazing food and service :)
The food is not spicy at all and has a strong sweet taste. The taste is not bad. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Fantastic food, very reasonably priced!
The service is splendid, and the food is really good! Highly recommended.
I went to this place with no expectations at all and wanted to drink soju, but it exceeded my expectations!!! Ive tried chicken braised soup/bibimbap/tofu and kimchi, but the best is the chicken braised stew. As a person who ate a lot of bibimbap when I was a college student, my nickname was Lee Bibim, so bibimbap was at the bottom of the bibimbap Ive ever tried, but the tofu kimchi and braised chicken were so delicious that I would go back and eat them again. And the staff and the owner are all friendly, so Im adding half a star
Lovely flavours. Order the pork bits with cabbage and red pepper paste, and get some rice wine to share. Beef was nice, but tedious picking off the bone.
lovely food ...portions were perfect ( one requested small .. one normal but so much in bowl i nearly couldnt eat it all .. ) delicious & great staff ...thankyou .
Lunch menu was good value and very good food, staff were friendly too
I wonder if they didnt give me the two side dishes that were originally served because I went there to eat them alone ? The soft tofu stew is a bit bland.
Kimchi-jjigae without any soup base - just boiled water. Also NO kimchi there, completely raw cabbage ! Wasting of money.
This was my first time experiencing Korean food and I was pleasantly surprised. The portions are a bit small but I guess thats everywhere in England. Overall I enjoyed my food
Best Korean restaurant Ive visited! Great portion sizes, lovely complimentary extras, good size menu and excellent food. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Restaurant itself is a little shabby round the edges, but adds to the charm!
(Eng & Kor) I went there with my uk friend. We ordered Korean pankake with kimchi, ginger pork, Bulgogi with rice, kimchi chige (soup). Meat was a little bit salty and sweet for me but my uk friend said it tasted really good~~ Especially chige and pankake were lovely :) I went with a British friend and ate kimchi pancake, ginger pork belly bulgogi rice bowl, and kimchi stew. The meat felt a little salty and sweet to me, but my friend was really satisfied with it. The stew and kimchi pancake were very delicious. The taste is similar to Korea to this extent in the UK. I think it would be difficult to find a restaurant in .
Decent bulgogi but pretty good korean fried chicken.
Amazing place for anyone who loves Korean food
After a good meal here a few years ago, I returned with my family and received sub-par service and food that has clearly deteriorated in authenticity over the years. Before we had even started our main course, we were made to feel as if we were out staying our welcome and keeping the waiting staff.... at 9pm. As an English language teacher Im often asked for recommendations of where to eat by my Korean students. From now on I shall be recommending against this restaurant in favour of Bibimbap House, or just buying a burner and having samgeopsal.
very tasty and the service is good.
Lovely food
Great food. Good service. Waitresses were great. Give them a pay rise!
So much difference from original... and no free side dish...
Good
The restaurant was in the basement. Quite cosy and nice place to dine. Very good food. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Excellent food and service. The owner was very friendly and came to greet us. Had a wonderful evening together with friends.
My experience in this resturant is very pleasant. The staff are accomodating. Though they dont have high chairs for toddler. They also dont have the typical side dishes. You have to order it separately. It doesnt really bother me but for others it might. I Recommend the galbi and chicken stew . Yum yum
Not a bad restaurant
Excellent meals here at Little Seoul! Despite its unique exterior, the traditional Korean dishes make for a fantastic dining experience along with the ultra-friendly and courteous staff that work there. For first-time guests to the Little Seoul, try out the featured traditional Korean dishes or try their Korean-Western fusion dishes that make for a peculiar meal.
Delicious, authentic food, with a good selection and pleasant staff.
The poussin soup was very good.
Very good Korean restaurant in the heart of Cambridge, right at the foot of the Catholic church. You have to go down some stairs to access it. Correct preparation of a well-stocked menu, and at a very good price.
Food quality is very good. But the portions are smaller average. Maybe thats a Korean tradition but Europeans might need to order two main courses. Which is good because the taste is amazing. Two different ones. If you want to have a normal amount of food, very good food, you will end up spending more money.
Food was very good. Their food is very light so we ended up ordering more which became a little pricey. Overall satisfied with quality and taste.
Fantastic food 10/10 would go there again, shout-out to our server Margaux who was a delight
Very nice food. Not at all busy on a Thursday evening so go early or youll be the last ones there. Staff were polite and food was served quickly.
Soft tofu stew
I had a bibimbap at this restaurant and it was quite good, although the egg was quite overcooked and a bit cold, but the rest of the dish was correct and tasty. Being a basement there is not much coverage and it is a bit dark, but the menu is extensive with quite a few dishes to choose from.
Fine for a quick lunch. Nothing special but tasty food all the same. Only a very few vegetarian options.
Great food, friendly service
Nice little place tucked away in a basement. The bulgolgi was delicious.
It has been a while since I was served with a rice bowl which was completely undercooked. The rice cake soup was also subpar.
Nice food, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Overall a good experience. Went at a quiet time so cant answer how it is when its really busy.
Unexpected service charge when I was not really happy with the service
Great Authentic Korean food
Friendly staff and good food
Amazing food especially the kimchi
Authentic Korean food and drinks.
This was a nice relaxed lunch; £7.50 for a very tasty lunch dish. If you like Korean food or just want to try it, this is a decent place to go.
Good food, staff are friendly and calm, very simple and traditional- good for people missing certain flavours. Got there at 8 on a Thursday so it was fairly busy but not hectic. Overall a good first experience! There is a 10% tax(?) and an option for gratuity which I would suggest you add a little too :-)
