612 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02139, United States
Cozy & relaxed cafe offering a vast menu of sandwiches & salads, plus a busy brunch.
I love Cafe Luna! So do a lot of other people though, so come early to get a seat. The French toast and waffles are both delicious, super crispy and lots of options to choose from. I had the Mexican churro French toast with berries this time and it was fantastic! Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Great brunch experience! Lots of Benedict choices. Lots of great options. Looked at the other tables and saw so many things that looked great. Super tasty!
BEST PLACE EVER. One of my friends took me last weekend, and I can’t believe I had missed this spot in Boston! I booked 4 days in advance and still couldn’t get the time I wanted but she insisted we should try this place out! The lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious! And even the drinks. The service was also top notch. My server was very very sweet. Highly recommend this place and their pancakes!
Food was good, but not great. The truffle fries were pretty good. I had the grill chicken and provolone sandwich, and the chicken lacked flavor. Everyone else said their own plates were good, but again not great.
Cafe Luna in Cambridge is my favorite catering company. Reliable employees, delicious food, and extensive menu. Teri (the owner) and John are responsive and helpful. Ordered for events ranging from 10 to over 200 attendees.
Incredible food, but the best service I have ever had in my life. The waitress was so kind and attentive, even though the place was very busy. Highly recommend the corn beef hash and the lemon meringue pancakes.
Good Food. Friendly staff. Nice environment. The caramelized bananas and pecan pancakes were delicious. My taste buds were pleased.
What a WONDERFUL place with an even more wonderful owner!! The food here is spectacular. One of the best brunch spots I’ve been to! There are so many delicious options on the menu, I have no choice but to go back next time I am in Boston! The owner himself personally waited on us, as the restaurant was quite busy and he didn’t want to keep us waiting. He provided top notch service, and was incredibly friendly. He even brought us pancakes with a candle to congratulate us on our recent engagement. I’m so happy we came here. I recommend it to everyone who loves breakfast food and a good time!
Hey - love this place. Has decent food but its not consistent. I order the same exact thing as I did yesterday scrambled eggs, toast and potatoes with peppers and onions and today just had no flavor, eggs had no color. And the toast wasnt not buttered. Typically a great place to get DoorDash delivery but today wasnt that day.
Great service and good. Greek omelet was great.
Tried the wing & waffles, dish was delicious. The sauce on the wings perfectly balances the sweet and savory aspects of the dish. Highly recommend, and will be back for more soon!
Went to this cafe to try and get service, joined the wait list after being told 30 minutes for a wait +/- 10 mins as we requested a table instead of seating at the bar. Got a text saying we were on the list with a wait of 45 mins. Went back to the store after it had been over an hour and was told the next table that leaves is yours . Went back to the store at 2.5 hours after the initial message and still couldn t seat us. For the record, the restaurant is about to close at 4pm today and I never got a message from them about our table. Poor management that was flustered and unable to keep things in order.
Very busy place surprising that the food comes out fast very good quality very impressive
The worst costumer service I ve ever had Food is good Food
The check in is very disorganized, many people waiting at the entrance pushing each other and without a system that guarantees that you will have your table at the correct time. I dont recommend it.
Got the crab cake and lobster eggs benedicts. The lobster was dry and the eggs were a bit over cooked, but the crab cakes were good.
Great food and service!! I loved the New Orleans Style Iced Coffee. We enjoyed our experience here!
Lili was attentive and brought positive upbeat vibes from start to finish of brunch. Service was excellent. Ask for her to be your server if you can! Food was also amazing and not pricey.
Excellent Brunch. Great eggs benedict options on weekends. Im a big fan of the French toasts as well
This is one of the best brunch places i have ever been to. The food is exquisite and the service is exceptional. If you are in boston this is a must stop!
Café Luna is a very special place, really fantastic. They have the best brunch menu Ive ever seen. And the friendliness of the owners and staff is exceptional. We keep going there whenever we can (its been many years already).
On my first visit to Cafe Luna, our waitress Erica (I hope I caught her name correctly) recommended the French toast because its the best and she wasnt wrong! Its made with cinnamon swirl bread and butter fried to perfection. Its not a thick gooey French toast as some places serve so keep that in mind. I have to give Erica a shout-out because she was super attentive, friendly, and checked up on us frequently and at the right time. She is the best!
RIPOFF - BEWARE. Regardless of the service, the server sneaks a 20% tax on your bill before giving it back to you to sign, and then stands and stares at you while you are looking at the check, trying to figure it out. - Note: and regardless of what the owner says about, Never happens, he should be on the floor more and watch what his waitstaff are doing.
From the food, the atmosphere and the service I could not recommend this place even more! Lili was our server and she was very bubbly, personable and professional. Best start of our day was her bright attitude. I got to have the kitchen sink and i cannot rave enough about how great the french toast and my partner had Chilaquiles!
This place was AMAZING. The food was great but the most notable part was Lili. I ve never had a waitress that was so sweet, friendly, and personable. She put a smile on all of our faces and made great conversation.
Our favorite brunch in Boston! 1. Incredible hospitality 2. Perfect mix of traditional brunch with creative twists 3. Superior coffee Food : 5/5 |
Absolutely great staff and amazing food, great brunch
our food was absolutely incredible and our server Sarah was amazing and super fun. Matt, at the host stand, was very hospitable and his lovely wife Teri is a culinary genius. The Mexican street corn omelette is a must have. The veggie hash is a religious experience.
This was unexpectedly very bad across the board, worst restaurant experience in a long time, both food and service.
There food is always delicious! The customer service is excellent!! There bacon egg and Cheddar cheese on a toasted Asiago bagel is always my go to. Always satisfied!!! They also have tasty treats
So disappointed by the food! This place used to be a gem and I m not sure if they changed ownership but they did change location. The salmon was super overcooked and the vegetables as well with too much oil and no flavor. My friends waffles were very hard. Not in the good crunchy way.
Biscuits came out cold. Just average biscuits. Chilaquiles didn t have any sauce, I wouldn t get the chilaquiles here. I don t think this is a must- brunch place at all.
SO IMPRESSED with Cafe Luna! We had the best server - Luisa O was so attentive and helped me pick an amazing meal. I have Celiac and she consulted with the kitchen to make sure my meal was safe and she gave me the best recommendation! I got the spinach & avocado Benedict with sausage. 10/10! Thank you Luisa! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!
My wife and I came here for the first time today. We ordered the Caramelized Banana Pecan French toast and the Churro French toast with berries and they were both INCREDIBLE. Before ordering, our server assured us that it would be the best French toast we would eat in our lives a tall order! But the French toast indeed lived up to this claim! The churro crust is a game-changer and the bananas were perfectly caramelized. Our server, Lily, showed us so much love and made our experience a true delight. We also noticed that the servers here work as a team, which was beautiful to see. We ve definitely found our new favorite brunch spot in Boston. Thank you Cafe Luna!
Brunch menu on the weekends is great. Blueberry waffles and lobster eggs benedict must tries
Chilaquiles are very delicious, different from the Mexican flavor but worth trying. The coffee is very delicious! Very friendly staff.
Great location. Great food with polite servers.
I never write reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience after today. I ve had Café Luna s food so many times and always enjoyed it, so I hope this helps them improve. I stopped by for a quick cold brew, and for $7, I expected a full drink. Instead, I got one that was barely filled so much coffee was missing! This is the first time something like this has happened to me, and it was really frustrating, especially since I was in a rush. What bothered me the most was that it felt intentional by the staff cold brew is something you pour into a cup, so it s not like there s a reason for it to be so underfilled. Café Luna might be known for their food, but when it comes to coffee, they don t seem to run a traditional coffee shop. For the price, I expect a full cup, not a skimpy, underfilled one. I m only leaving this review because I ve enjoyed their food in the past, but if this is the coffee experience, I hope they take steps to improve. Otherwise, I ll think twice before grabbing a coffee here again, and I ll advise my people to do the same.
You have to try the lemon berry pancake
Eggs of all kinds and very good pancakes. There is always a queue, so it is necessary to reserve, it is worth it. Vegetarian options: There are very delicious vegetarian options.
My favorite place for brunch. The lemon ricotta pancakes and French toast are amazing. The drinks are good as well.
Amazing place with great service!
We went for breakfast, food is really good, there are a lot of options! We are the lemon ricotta pancake, chilaquiles, Fig, prosciutto omelette. All of them were really good!!!! Service was really good! Food
Great Saturday brunch and attentive service. Busy on a Saturday late morning, but the wait was only about 15 minutes.
Lili was the best server I have ever had!!
Wheelchair accessibility: Can be seated outdoor in summer and restaurant is on ground level. Food
Feeling sad? Is the day gloomy? Life too mundane?! Leave it up to Cafe Luna...with their food and the staff, you are always in good hands!
I adore this place. After 25 years as a loyal Zaftigs patron, this place takes the top spot on my brunch list. The menu is incredible.
This is what I m here for Lobster Mexican roasted corn omelet!
So you won t poach eggs, except on the weekend!! What is that?? Wait staff was exceptional although a good restaurant would have poached eggs ( healthy choice ) for their customers upon request. So sad for this place, seemed like a good choice, but don t ask for them to poach eggs during the week!!! Apparently it s not their thing to keep customers happy. So sad
Eggs Benedict and French toast are amazing! Friendly staff and best service! Would highly recommend if you are in Cambridge area!
I ve been looking forward to trying brunch here. I ordered the kitchen sink with eggs over medium. I received two petrified eggs and bacon that was over cooked. I asked to be refunded for the that portion of the plate. I was met with stark refusal which was very surprising to me. This is supposed to be a high end breakfast place and they can t cook eggs properly. 0/10 stars for the owner being extremely combative. Don t waste your time on a mediocre breakfast.
THE BEST BRUNCH FOOD/ EXPERIENCE IN BOSTON.
The best brunch I have ever had. Everything is perfect. Matt and his team has phenomenal with customer service. The food is fresh. Nothing frozen. There are a million great things to say about this place. Although they are open all week, the Brunch Menu is only offered on Saturday & Sunday
Delicious breakfast, friendly service, generous portions.
Cafe Luna was delicious! We went for breakfast and I ordered the mixed Berry French toast. My husband and I agreed that it was literally the best French toast we ve ever had. Would definitely recommend Cafe Luna!
Mexican fusion brunch is not really my thing, and there aren t many choices for the omelette. The one with corn and cheese tastes bad. The waffle and latte were ok. The London fog is nice with creamy foam. It is a very popular restaurant, needs reservations even if it s a weekday. A little overpriced - $25 just for coffee and waffles.
Food is bad and overpirced--service is good though
The food and price were fantastic but the real star was our server Lilly/Lilee! She had such high and fun energy and it was contagious. Hard not to have a good time with that cheerfulness around you (sorry if I spelled your name wrong)
Food was so good here! You ve got to start with the honey butter biscuits! I had a hard coffee and the crab cake omelette. My friends really enjoyed their omelettes as well and the loaded home fries!
The best brunch anywhere!! Excellent food waffles, pancakes, benes, mex specialties and more, new seaonal specials - lemon merange pancakes, peach carmel fr toast!!, warm welcoming, great service. Always my first choice. Outdoor seating. dogs welcome!!
Delicious food with great service. Reservation is definitely recommended
Love the place everything in the menu is delicious
Loved the food! Awesome service, totally a place to come back!
Came with a party of 6 on a busy Friday after the Fourth; with no reservation, they still found space for us. Everything we tried was great. The Mexican Street Corn Omelette was incredible . Also a fan favorite was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Service was great!
Solid brunch spot for French toast, eggs Benny and drinks. Friendly service. They take reservations, advisable for parties of 2 or more.
Food and coffee were amazing!! 100% recommend if you re on Boston. It does get really cold, would advise to being a sweater.
I am very happy to dine here , my only regret is that I am inhaling car exhaust fumes on the side of the road! I m sure it will feel great sitting in it! My meal was really delicious! I highly recommend everyone to dine here! We waited a long time, but it was worth it!
Cafe Luna is gorgeous inside and out. They have a high class and home style vibe between the decor and the menu which is very impressive. Everything in here is a 10/10. I want to really highlight our server Lily she is an absolute ray of sunshine and she really makes you feel cared for. I would come back for the food but Lily makes me want to be a regular. This is truly a special place and Lily deserves a raise!
Very friendly stuff! But the food is horrible, the lemon pancake is sweet as hell cannot finish. And the Eggs Benedict is too salty to swallow. Would not come again!
Delicious breakfast. Server was delightful.
A brunch place thats close to pfizer office and very popular. Mexican omelet was stuffed with corns, gave it a sweet taste also not too heavy. Food
Lemon pancakes were GREAT. Chocolate french toast was a bit too sweet. Coffee and tea were just average. Overall very nice place for brunch, but not worth waiting more than half an hour so reservation is essential during the weekends.
Food tasted great and good portion sizes
Cafe Luna has great breakfast at reasonable prices. My friend and I got the corned beef hash, lemon curd pancakes, and Mexican street corn omelette. All of it was super good! And I would definitely order the hibiscus punch mocktail. Our server was also super nice and very helpful! The vibe isnt super exciting, but we sat outside and had a great time
Never a fail - this time I tried it with pulled Chipotle Chicken and it made it even yummier, which I didn t think was possible. I ve been meaning to try other dishes but the Chilaquiles have a strong hold. And not to mention their Lavender Latte (chef s kiss). The staff and owners are always super nice and will keep us coming back! I highly recommend a reservation (especially on weekends) because you will be waiting. It is worth the wait if you re not starving and have some time to wait for a table. 10/10 always! Our server Ariela is as sweet as honey!
I had lunch outside with a Friend, it was fast, delicious (I took a salad with avocado ans Mango) and the waitress was super available for us
Excellent food and service while enjoying the beautiful weather. Could not have asked for a better time.
DELICIOUS!! Recommend 100%. My fiancé and I are very impressed with service, meal, friendly staff, and how fast service was. We went on Father s Day and they seated us right away. The ladies at the bar heard it was our Wedding Week and made us feel special. I will be telling everyone about this place!
The waffles were amazing! The Mexican corn omelette was overwhelming, way too much for one person to eat. The lavender latte was excellent!!! Overall great spot but pricey $$$
Great breakfast with lots of options.
Was my first time in the cafe Luna. I have such a good time. The food was delicious, and the server was sweetheart, her name was Lily, and she was very friendly and explained everything. She makes the whole experience better. I will be back for sure.
The food was delicious, the service was prompt, and it was an overall great experience!
I wish I bc pod give this place more than 5 stars! Where do I start!? The food 5/5 The staff 5/5 The vibes 5/5 Everything here is absolutely amazing! We tried the Pear Pecan French Toast, Jalapeno Cheddar Mac and Cheese and Lemon Kurd Pancakes! Thank you Matt for taking care of my and my wife We can t wait to be back soon!!
Ariella, the hostess is so welcoming & sweet, I ve been coming here for some time and she always has amazing energy. Our server was Aiden and he was great. Every time I come I have a great experience with servers & the food. This is one of my top 2 places in town for breakfast (I live in Florida now and every time I come home I make it a point to stop by).
Terrific breakfast only spot. Large omelets. Fresh ingredients. Friendly, fast service.
Food was really good. We got the Mexican bowl and it was huge. We put our name down and they took our phone # so we could walk around. Very casual place
With the exception of the brusque hostess in the front, everything else was wonderful: delicious food, great prices for portion size, nice ambience and service
There s the lobster meat portion sizes at all other restaurants and then there s the lobster meat portion size at Cafe Luna. Also if you re hungry and have a sweet tooth get the French toast and stuff it in your face as long as it is called today
Creative and tasty brunch menu. Great atmosphere and great energy. Shout out to our server Aiden who was exceptional and extremely accommodating, even giving us a free coffee refill to go after we finished dining. Highly recommend this place for brunch!
Very busy cafe at lunch. Service and food were stellar. Will definitely visit again!
Im generally not a brunch person, but I really liked the food. The place gets busy which speaks about the food.
Great food - tight confines if you have a bigger party. Went for brunch, was not disappointed.high quality food, great service by the staff.
One of my favorite lunch spots in Cambridge. I love the salads and the salmon in particular. And the truffle fries! Its better to make a reservation! Food
If youre in Boston, this is the best brunch place in town. The food was absolutely amazing oh and the mimosas to die for. The staff was do attentive all taking turns checking on us this place is a must
A must brunch place visit if you are in Boston. The food is flavourful and fresh. Their waffles and pancakes are to die for. The portion size is good for 2 people.
Delicious! I had a Mexican churro french toast, a lentil soup, and an espresso. The food was the bomb diggity, service was great, but the espresso wasnt very good. Food : 5/5
The cookie monster was good
Brunch was delightful. Lemon ricotta berry pancakes, yum!!
The food was great, but the young man at the front-of-house could use some additional training. Being repeatedly questioned about whether our whole party was present, especially when kids are involved, is not a welcoming experience. I hope the restaurant considers a less intrusive way to manage their waiting area.
Great service and brunch food!
Food is good. Way better than the catering. Prices are a bit pricey but what youd expect going in. Good portions. Nice location.
Mar 2024: This place is pretty good, the wait time is ridiculous on a weekend I recommend a reservation prior to coming here. The portion sizes are also big I recommend sharing a meal with another and the potatoes on the side. The menu on their website has random photos and are not relevant to all, just a heads up.
If you have celiac, this is a safe place to eat. The wait staff are educated, attentive, and careful. And the food is great!
Delicious food and excellent service!
Excellent!! Thank you!
My husband had Caramelized banana and pecan waffles. He would not share a bite with me! I had an egg Benedict with roasted vegetables with arugula. Though I had to scrape hollander sauce and not eat english muffin by choice because of my cholesterol and pre diabetic. They have not changed for 7 years. We have been eating Luna every time we visited to Boston. It is our favorite place to eat Brunch or breakfast. Though I felt bad not eating everything when they came to ask me, was food ok. I told them because of my dietary restrictions. I had a salad to go. A simple salad, it is very light sauce goes perfectly with it. I am having now this morning! I did not specify any dietary restriction to waitress or any allergy. She did asked me for the record. I wanted to smell and see my dish without eating everything. I would chose steak and lobster bit Benedict that dish would be my choice if my allergy will allow me. Thank you See you soon. Peter and S. Cho P.S. We ate Cafe Luna 3 mornings while we stayed 2 nights in Cambridge. Soon as we arrived at Cambridge we went straight to Cafe Luna. The best Decaf latte with Oat milk, also came with a perfect heart on the top. Dietary restrictions: cholesterol, pre diabetic, allergic to shell fish.
A knockout brunch spot. Quick and attentive servers, delicious food options. Tried the Churro French Toast with mixed berries- AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back. But sure to make reservations in advance!
The food was unbelievable !!! The best lemon ricotta berry pancakes I have ever had . Every dish on the table was beyond expectation. This place is a must visit again and again .
Tasty food, efficient service, great spot for a work lunch. Make sure to reserve in advance!
I seen this place on Tik Tok and decided to take my husband for his bday for breakfast on a Thursday morning. This place lives up to the HYPE! Pleasant staff, friendly & welcoming environment. Our server was Michael he was so friendly and attentive. We had the chilaquiles Mango habanero chicken and waffles & truffle fries Strawberries & berries w lemon (something) Everything was Amazing 10/10 we will be back again. (Not the best pictures. Forgot to take pictures but screenshot these from my Snapchat)
The French toast is ridiculously good. Honestly everything I tried was. Vegetarian options: Yay for veggie burger and veggie hash! Food : 5/5 |
Good brunch spot... food is between average and good
Unacceptable customer service. We were a group of 4 people and after 1 hour and a half, we were approached by 5 different servers asking us indirectly to leave. The highlight was when the owner showed us the exit door and told us to get out. We complained and he apologized and gave us a $20 credit (which is pretty offensive tbh), but I would never get back there anyway. Also, the food was mediocre at the very best.
We spent less then 1hr 30mins for a brunch there. Starting 1hr into the experience we had 5 staff members coming over and indirectly implying that we should leave. Their inquiries were becoming more and more aggressive. We drew the line when the manager in best of our interest told us that we can also use the backdoor to leave. We confronted the manager and we received a 20usd apology gift card. Which was nothing comparing to the ruined experience of Saturday morning for us and our friends. We wont be risking coming there again.
Just had the best breakfast in Cambridge. Food was off the chain and Michael was the best. You must have the corn beef hash.
They were so so so so so so so kind. Even though I dont speak English, They took great care to ensure that guests had a pleasant meal. The food is also very delicious. I searched on Google Maps and found it to be a local restaurant. I stopped by on purpose while taking a walk toward Harvard University. They said it was a local restaurant, so even though we went right at the 9 oclock opening time, there was a wait quickly. I was alone, so I sat right at the bar. I highly recommend it to others! A place where nothing is missing!! I felt like tips were something to give in places like this. I am a tourist, and I think Luna Cafe will be my impression of Boston!! ^^
Very interesting place to visit on MITs campus. Very hip place with excellent fare but not fancy at all. Came here with family for lunch just dropping by after a campus tour. Saw excellent reviews and decided: good place to have lunch. If we knew we would have made reservations but I digress. We were seated almost immediately since I guess we came before lunch so it would made sense. The place was busy and I mean really busy. Kids had pancakes (Cookie Monster and Just Pancakes with berries). They said it was too much food. We had ... omelets.... I am not sure of the name right now because it was too good so I inhaled it.... (I think the menu may have changed though, cant find it now) Definitely need to have a reminder visit.
Good quality brunch, but expensive. This place gets super crowded though --- they should really consider expanding. Edited: they have since expanded :).
My friend took me to a place he frequents. Even though it was late on a weekday, there were a lot of customers as expected from a good restaurant! The line was long on the weekends, so I recommend going during the day on weekdays. I thought it would be similar to any brunch place, but it was better than expected. The mushroom-filled omelet I ordered not only satisfied my taste buds as a mushroom lover, but all of my friends who tried a bite of it raved about how delicious it was. And the dessert was so delicious that it tickled the taste buds of people who dont usually like sweets. The service was very good and it was a pleasant day! I plan to recommend it to friends who are traveling to Boston. It was a better restaurant than any brunch I had in Boston.
Best brunch food in the greater Boston area. Highly recommend the loaded Mexican breakfast for brunch.
Absolutely fantastic!!!
Love the lemon pancakes are amazing
It pains me to write this, but Café Luna, a place I once held in high regard, has taken a turn for the worse. My recent visit was marred by a lackluster culinary experience that fell short of expectations, particularly with their lobster dishes. I ordered the lobster roll, and my partner tried the lobster Benedict. Both dishes were disappointing, to say the least. The main issue lay in the quality of the lobster itself. It was neither juicy nor fresh, bearing an unsettling resemblance to canned lobster rather than the fresh, succulent seafood one would expect at a premium cafe. This was particularly jarring given the price point - $36 for a dish that failed to deliver the basic promise of fresh ingredients. Additionally, I was taken aback by the default 20% tip policy. While I understand and support tipping for good service, having it preset at such a high rate for an underwhelming experience seemed unreasonable. In summary, Café Luna has sadly diverged from the high standards it used to embody. The steep prices and mandatory high tip dont align with the quality of food currently served. I hope this is a temporary lapse and not a permanent decline.
The food here is amazing which makes this place always packed with people. BUT, Do Not waste your time going there with no reservations. You will not get treated well nor seated after waiting for hours. We have been waiting for >2 hours and still haven t been seated. It would have been better if they just let us know that they do not welcome walk-ins. We were told that the wait should be ~45mins.
Always amazing experience here. Great food and service.
This location is hands down one of my favorites for a holiday brunch. The service is top notch and the food is excellent!
Torn between a 4 and a 5. The food her might be the tastiest brunch in all of Cambridge. It s flavorful and balanced in terms of sweetness and salt where other restaurants go overboard. We loved the omelette and the French toast. The French toast reheats well. Reservations are needed on weekends but weekdays are okay without a reservation though there will still be many people eating. The ambience gives low-end college cafeteria vibes with somehow washed out bright colors on the walls and midsized art. The service is okay. It took forever to get two takeout boxes when the restaurant wasn t that crowded and the servers clearly saw us trying to flag them down so we could pack up and leave.
Love coming here for brunch, so good! They have such nice people and great service too
There is a reason why there is a line down the street for Cafe Luna. The food is delicious and the portions are more than generous. Everything is made form scratch and it shows. The staff is congenial, attentive and efficient. I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed. Be prepared for a wait because the restaurant is small.
This place is amazing! I ve gone here twice now for Brunch and it s definitely worth the wait. Food and drinks are definitely good! Make sure to get the biscuits because they are amazing too! The menu at first glance is a lot but no matter what you choose it will be worth it.
Very good indeed, portions size more then i was able to eat. However: I ordered waffles and got french toast. I eat it anyways and did not complain as I like both :)
Great place & value
Cafe Luna is the best place for your breakfast or lunch. Located in Central Square, MIT Cambridge,Boston.
Fantastic atmosphere. Wonderful service. Excellent food!! Food
Fantastic, friendly service! Excellent food served in a timely manner. Highly recommend. Make reservations online!!
Get the pumpkins French toast!!! We loved everything we got here for brunch. Quick service. Coffee was great. Special shout-out to Ariela P her service and recs were amazing.
We had a large group and was able to sit outside. The food came after an average wait time. Most of my group enjoyed their meals. My food was tasty but I honestly thought it d be better given all the hype. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs in the restaurant. There are some wide aisles where tables aren t as close.
Consistently fantastic service. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu, and are always happy to offer pairing suggestions. Their waffles and French toast dishes are delicious.
Great service, good coffee, worth waiting for.
Excellent service. Hash brown Benedict was really good. Heard a lot about the lemon ricotta pancake and I enjoyed it. Irish hard hot coffee hit the spot and the cappuccino was nice as well. Very very busy but relatively fast operation. Overall, great experience.
It is an incredible place, warm from the entrance to the exit, the breakfasts were delicious and you will pay with pleasure
There was a line before me when I arrived. They added me to the list, said 40 min wait, that s fine. When it was supposed to be my turn and they had sat the people before me, they skipped me and started seating people that had arrived after me. When I asked they said they had arrived way before me, yeah right last time I checked my eyes worked fine :). The fact that they can add you to the queue in their little tablets with any wait time they please instead of respecting the line it s just absurd. Not a fan!
Delicious upscale breakfast restaurant! Highly recommend getting the cinnamon rolls
Food was so good, esp the breakfast sandwich and french toast! Prices weren t bad and it was super packed at 9am
Stopped for coffee and pancakes. Excellent
Nice desert, cool and chill place.
Their chilaquiles are actually just nachos. Should advertise it as that! Everything else was good :)
Amazing breakfast and brunch food!
Brunch was marvelous. The bloody Mary was phenomenal. The 3 egg omelette was delicious and huge! This is not a case of either quality or quality. The omelette was BOTH. I look forward to going back. Beware, make reservations! The line to get in grows very quickly.
Food was great but the restaurant overcharged my tip on my credit card...
The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional.
This place is delicious! We went on a busy Wednesday morning (closer to lunch time) but the workers got us seated in about 5 minutes. Our waiter was super friendly and informative. We got the chilaquiles (which were more like breakfast nachos,) nonetheless, they were delicious. We also got some banana pecan, French toast and omg, those were amazing! I cannot wait to go back to Boston and eat there again. There is a lot of construction going on, and parking was very difficult to get. I believe there is a parking garage, but we are new to the area, so we did not look around much. I parked like 5 minutes away.
First time in Cafe Luna and YOU have to go! It s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The churros french toast is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again.
Always a good experience here! Food is tasty and staff is super kind - even went above and beyond to push tables together for us when they were very busy!
High quality...
Got the kitchen sink, great french toast, nice and thick and dense. The rest was pretty good but I guess nothing that insanely wowed me. It was also pretty busy but I overall enjoyed the atmosphere. I like the watercolor art on the walls Dietary restrictions: they asked and i said peanut allergy
Pretty good food.. second time I have been, and second time I ve noticed the owners (male at front desk and woman in the back) be very demeaning to employees (regardless of how they treat customers). Upon chatting with locals and reading other reviews others have noticed this too. Very unfortunate environment as the owners behavior reminds me of Jeckyl and Hyde energy. Watch out and check out other reviews before supporting this place. This behavior is suggesting a toxic work environment.
Food was incredible. Had the best corned beef hash of my life and the pear French toast was crispy and caramelized to perfection. Pair that with their dirty chai and you ll have a delicious brunch. The staff is so nice and thoughtful, they made sure we felt welcomed!
The French toast was heavenly although there should be an option for half size servings for those of us uninterested in obesity/diabetes. Definitely recommend the lavender latte.
First time trying this place! I have to say it was AMAZING! I am glad I made reservations upon arrival, because it was a little busy. The staff was very welcoming and the waitress was very pleasent! My friends and I order the French toast, egg omelette, and waffles with mix fruit along with a chai martini! Let me just say nothing got left on the plate!! Would highly recommend
A great breakfast spot! The staff is super friendly and the food was fantastic (great portions too)!
Great service, disappointed from what have heard about the treatment of employees Dietary restrictions: Allergy friendly
Big portion, tasty food, very packed tables.
The roasted vegetable bowl was a bit salty. The food portions were huge and the server was very passionate and she recommended some of her fav dishes to us
Totally blown away by our experience at Cafe Luna today. The line was long but they completely made up for it the moment we sat down. Matt, one of the owners, personally seated us and bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable, well fed, and happy with our meal and service, including treating us to several items on the house. Sydney our waitress was also extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating to our needs. Matt shared how everything that can be hand-made is made in house, and that definitely showed in the dishes, all of which tasted DIVINE. We had the nutella stuffed french toast, corned beef hash, roasted street corn omelette, eggs Benedict, ricotta pancakes, breakfast nachos (Chilaquiles) and the honey butter biscuits. We were absolutely stuffed but couldnt stop from finishing off most of the dishes. Its rare to find in one place the trifecta of delicious food, genuine/attentive service, and fantastic ambiance, but Cafe Luna checked ALL the boxes. Highly, highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Get the French toast, its delicious. I also got the chipotle chicken hash, which was great with some hot sauce but the French toast is where its at. Tones of gluten free options if thats important to you, also saw a couple vegetarian options but did not try them. Food
One of the best places for brunch! Love their waffles and coffee too!
Was on Instagram and came across this Resturant seeing an add about this spot! Everything looked so good on the gram! So I came by on a Wednesday morning when they opened for breakfast! Very nice outside seating on a nice day when the weather is nice, parking is hard around this area with construction work going on its very hard finding parking. The place looks great inside bathroom area was very clean and the place was very stylish, modern looking! The service was good and staff was welcoming with a smile! Got a cappuccino for a drink and got pancakes that were loaded with fresh fruit, a side of bacon with eggs over easy. Coffee was excellent taste was great pancakes delicious light not heavy and the fresh fruit on top was perfect! Eggs cook as I requested, the bacon though was terrible very dry and seemed like it was pre cooked or something?? I asked for crispy bacon but did not eat it very disappointed! But everything else was very good! Will come back again maybe and give them another try??!!
