100 Water St N, Cambridge, ON N1R 1P1, Canada
Experience riverside dining at the Cambridge Mill. Situated in historic Downtown Galt alongside the Grand River, our restaurant and event venue offers exceptional views, a rustic farm-to-table menu, and an expansive cocktail & wine list.
2024.12 We visited first time on a Sunday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The venue was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and our window seats added to the experience. Food was delicious and of excellent quality—better than their sister restaurants, such as Ancaster Mill and Spencer’s at the Waterfront in Burlington. Overall service fell short compared to other restaurants in a similar price range. For example, many places offer thoughtful touches, like a small dessert plate with a handwritten "Happy Anniversary." While one staff member did say “happy anniversary”, which was appreciated, that was the extent of it. Additionally, our server was fine—not the best and not always available, perhaps due to being too busy. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but there’s room for improvement in service and enhancing customer experience for special occasions.
This was my first time coming to the Cambridge Mill and my partners third time. The building and atmosphere is gorgeous, we got a great seat by the falls, and it felt romantic and private. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress made every dish and beverage sound mouth watering and was very attentive and accommodating. The rest of the servers were walking around with smiles and I could tell they too were also giving fantastic service. We felt very much celebrated by all the staff who served us. The food was yummy and tasty. My one and only qualm was the portion of the Agnolotti which my partner ordered. It was delicious but only came with seven piece of stuffed pasta, just a little odd. Everything else was great and we will be coming back.
My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday at Cambridge Mill, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the cheerful and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond by preparing a delightful dessert with a "Happy Birthday" greeting for my husband, which added a special touch to our celebration. The restaurant's location is simply romantic, with our table by the window offering stunning views of the grand River. It set the perfect backdrop for our lunch. Now, let's talk about the food! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The steak was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor, while the oysters were as fresh as they come. We savored every bite, from the warm butternut squash soup to the delectable dessert that capped off our meal. Overall, our experience at Cambridge Mill was nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a charming spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner, I highly recommend it!
It’s a 5 star review, taste and presentation of food was great. The service was professional, the view was stunning. A very enjoyable and calming experience through the covered patio. The only thing I don’t feel it is perfect would be the glass of sparkling wine wasn’t at its optimal chilled temperature, the seat had some stain, but otherwise, it was wonderful.
A literal dream to have dinner at Cambridge mill. As we were roaming around spectacular Cambridge downtown, we came across this restaurant which is located on the riverfront. The Sunset view with candy-floss sky was amazing as you can see in the pictures. I was blown away by the service. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. One thing I noticed here is , if you drop single piece of food on the table , the server will come and clean that for you as soon as you finish your dish. I have never seen this kind of service before. And what can I say about food . You can see and smell freshness with locally sourced ingredients. each dish is crafted and presented to perfection. I could come again and again to have mango passion fruit sorbet.
Food is seasonal and oh so fresh and delicious with attention to detail. Beautiful location on the Grand River and gorgeous facility for lunch or special occasion. Staff is friendly and scenery and walking trails close by. Definitely recommend this place for its overall appeal and great food. Sunday all you can eat buffet is worth it's value. Weekly menu/fare provides many choices.
My lovely Model of a girlfriend and I had the 75$ brunch this Sunday and it was incredible. The atmosphere of the area was wonderful. Very nice indoor decor and the view is unbeaten by any restaurants in the area. All the staff were super helpful especially the teenage meat carver boy who sliced a perfect cut of meat. Drinks were made quickly and the food was excellent. Quite the spread as well with lots of variety. Management seems to be on top of it as nothing was ever out of stock. Also I tip my hate to the tall guy shucking oysters. Hopefully he doesn’t get carpal tunnel but keep up the good work!
From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, the wonderful staff ensure that you have a great experience. This is a beautiful setting, with lovely interior design and a gorgeous view. We went for brunch and the selection was impressive. The quality of everything we tried was superb. From the P.E.I. oysters on the shell, to the prime rib at the carving station, to the desserts, mimosas, coffee, and today's mocktail margarita, we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion or celebration.
The best Sunday brunch in the GTHA. Service is outstanding and you won t be disappointed.
My boyfriend and I came for dinner before a Christmas play at the Hamilton Theatre. I booked in advance and asked if we could be seated near the fireplace. My goodness, did they deliver! We were seated right in front of the fireplace, and it was magical. Nathan B provided us with wonderful service; he was attentive and helpful. All of the staff were delightful. We will definitely be attending again. We will the entire staff a happy holiday!
Company Christmas Party...all was good except for some of the staff suffered from bad body odour. Not very pleasant and kind of disturbing when you dont see yourself represented in the staff.
Sunday Brunch...overpriced , overrated.
Been here a number of times, most recently for the Sunday brunch. The food is all excellent , service is great, and the view is hard to beat. The brunch is a touch expensive but is worth it. Can get your moneys worth in oysters and bottomless mimosas alone.
Went there for brunch for our works Christmas together. It was amazing and I will absolutely go again.
Had brunch. Food was great and good spot with the views!
Great for celebrating a special occasion.
Excellent food with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Nice views of the river. The perfect place for a special occasion or just a nice meal out with family or friends. Food
We came in for Sunday Bruch and the food and atmosphere was amazing! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only con was our server was forgetting our drinks and was a little distracted. Bit
Food, service and atmosphere is amazing. Couldnt ask for better scenery, staff and food
Good atmosphere for perfect dinner with family. Foods are excellent.
Super cool place. Food was great. Cant wait to go back!!
Just wow. My wife had the Cesar salad and the fresh bread. I had the chicken schnitzel. OMG delicious. Service was great and unobtrusive. This was our second time and it won t be our last.
Went for rhe Sunday Brunch, Was a wonderful experience well worth the drive. Plan ahead and make sure to book a reservation there is no drop-ins
Great Restaurant ! The service was great, and the food was fantastic. Justin did a great job. Due to the weekend, it was a little too crowded. Plenty of parking and try reserving the river view tables.
My niece held her wedding and reception here, and it was an amazing experience all around. The atmosphere, food, and staff were wonderful.
This place is very good place to eat nice atmosphere and Service is very good
The food was delicious, the view was nice, and the service very friendly. For the prices that are charged though, I feel that is to be expected. Server took a special request to tape an ace of spades under the chair, which made for a fantastic magic trick. Thats the above and beyond that makes me give 5 stars. Vegetarian options: Lots of parking
What a great destination for an out of town dinner. Well worth the drive. Not a bad seat in the house!
Well I would like to tell you it was a great night out for my wifes birthday but. Maybe I am getting old and cranky. This is one of the nicer places around. Service and atmosphere are good but like most restaurants I visit these days the quality of the food and how its prepared is lacking. Is it too much to ask for good food when the bill is $100 each. It was a nice evening but I was a little disappointed!
Accommodating and made birthday brunch very special.
I celebrate my birthday here and it is such a memorable experience. The view is wonderful and the service is warm and attentive. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, making my evening extra special. Highly recommend.
Beautifully located, great ambiance, excellent service, authentic food that s what you will get at Cambridge Mill. We ordered carrot soup, beet salad, gem salad, Agnolotti and finished it off with a cup of drip coffee.
We recently celebrated our anniversary at Cambridge Mill, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The location was easy to find, and the grand stairs leading up to the entrance set a magnificent first impression. Upon announcing our name, we were greeted with a heartfelt Happy Anniversary, adding a personal touch that made us feel special. I requested a table by the water and was assured they would take care of us. True to their word, we were seated at a table next to the window overlooking the river a perfect spot. Our server, Brie, was not only pleasant but also very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the butternut squash soup, which was absolutely delightful. The first scoop was a kaleidoscope of flavors with hints of ginger and slight green onions, perfectly balanced to enhance the taste of the squash. The oysters with horseradish were fresh and made for a great starter. For drinks, I highly recommend the sangria with meringue it was an excellent cocktail to kick off the evening. For the main course, we tried the Cavatelli pasta with seafood, including snow crab legs, and the trout on a bed of lentils and leeks. The trout was particularly impressive crispy on the skin, tender, and flavorful with the sauce. For dessert, we indulged in the sticky toffee pudding, which was simply the best dessert Ive had in a long time. The ambiance of this historic building added to the romance of our evening. We never felt rushed, and Brie was patient and accommodating, allowing us to fully enjoy the atmosphere and our time together. The views of the river were spectacular, making for a memorable evening. Cambridge Mill is a fantastic place to celebrate special occasions with your loved ones. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this gem to others. A well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
Not sure why the hype!! Very expensive, long wait and the food Not the best!
You will never regret booking your wedding at the Cambridge Mill! Yes, you might have sticker shock after seeing the price, but the value you get for the service is so much higher than what you pay. The staff are so incredibly attentive to you throughout the whole night, it s like having a wedding planner. Anything you need from them, if within their power, they ll do for you. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the staff are so kind and efficient, the venue is stunning I could go on. And if you re worried about another wedding happening the same night, don t. My friends and I were shocked that we didn t notice the other wedding happening at all (besides, I realize that I m not the ONLY person getting married that day). The venue even let us come in the day before to set up the decor (since they didn t have an event that night) which was a literal lifesaver. Finally, get the espresso martinis they were such a hit!
Everything was devine!!! The service and food recommendations were catered perfectly. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was perfect! The tables are spread out, so you can actually have a conversation and hear one another. Thank you for such great service !!
They live up to their promises. Beautiful property.
Married Nov. 2, 2024. We were & still are blown away by how well we were treated by their staff through all stages of the journey dating back to when we booked the venue. Amy was so kind and accommodating and ready to answer any and all questions. Our Maître D Quinn and Day-of Coordinators Ethan & Cassidy did an amazing job on the big day to make sure everything ran smooth and that we were well looked after. We will forever hold a place in our hearts for this venue as they took the most exciting day of our lives and made it as incredible as possible for us. A steady theme throughout the night by all of our guests revolved around how beautiful the venue was, how incredible the food was and how great the staff were. THANK YOU to the Cambridge Mill! We would recommend this venue to anyone exploring the possibilities for their upcoming wedding.
I held a birthday party for 45 people and the whole thing was spectacular. The team helped me quickly put a plan together, with menus, layout and atmosphere suggestions, and then the food and service was spectacular. Loved all the little extras, like the customized menus and services. Thank you!
A beautiful spot for dinner in Cambridge! They have lots of veggie options & the food has always been delicious!
Had my proposal here, Olivia and all her staff were great. Everyone was onboard and helped tremendously. Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch, will definitely be coming back here.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary. Food and service was wonderful! All the servers especially Reuben was super attentive and great!
Three of us came to celebrate a friend s birthday, and it was great value for the $75 brunch menu. Our server was excellent and very attentive. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was great and tasted high-quality. Everything was cooked, perfectly seasoned very nicely, and the view was amazing. I will for sure come back again for a special occasion.
Originally seen a YouTube vlog about Cambridge Mill......fast forward to today had reservations before being on the waiting list. Everything about our experience was above expectations! Highly recommended.
The dining room is absolutely beautiful looking over a waterfall. Food was good, originally came fairly cold. However, Olivia was amazing and very accommodating and dealt with the issue accordingly.
Excellent food, fantastic view over the waterfall. Perhaps not the cheapest restaurant, but it was worth the extra bucks.
We came to Cambridge Mill for dinner on Tuesday and it was absolutely amazing. The staff, the live music, the food, the atmosphere was everything we could want and more. We had just got married on the Saturday before and our lovely server made us up a cute plate with a candle to blow out. The buratta was one of the best I ve ever tasted, the pesto was SO fresh. I got the pork with roasted peaches, that flavour combo was one of the best I ve ever tasted. My husband got the lamb pasta and absolutely loved it. The egg noodles were delicious and the lamb literally melted in your mouth. 10/10!
My husband and I got married at the Cambridge Mill and could not have asked for better service, from the beginning of the planning experience all the way until the end of our wedding night. We were assisted by Amie (Special Events Manager), Danielle (Kitchen Manager), Maddie (Concierge), and Ethan (Concierge Assistant). From the moment that my husband and I met Amie, we knew that we wanted to get married at the Cambridge Mill. Not only was she very charming, but she went out of her way to make sure that we got the wedding that we wanted at a price that was was within our budget. She kept in consistent communication with us about the details of the event, so that there were no surprises on the day-of. Danielle was AMAZING. She was responsible for guiding my family through the tasting of the meal. At the first tasting, we werent satisfied with the sirloin (we felt it was too dry). Danielle went out of her way to source a prime rib cut for our wedding guests, even though this cut is not offered on their menu. The prime rib cut was so good that every guest who ate it personally thanked me for the meat, haha! If the prime rib makes its way onto the Cambridge Mills restaurant menu, my family and I will definitely be back to dine... Maddie and Ethan were so valued on the day-of the wedding. They were there to assist my husband and I with anything we needed. Their calm and likeable personalities made us feel relaxed through the chaos of the day. 10/10!!!!
The customer service at Cambridge Mill was amazing from the moment you walk through the door. You re greeted by the host who takes you to your table. Our server today was Brie. She was amazing. Very attentive and answered all of our questions. She was super friendly. This was our first time there, celebrating both of our birthdays. Brie made sure to make it a special one. We got the oysters as an appetizer, they were honestly the best oysters we ve had so far. We then got our meals which were equally as amazing. We got the Beef Dip and Snow Crab Cavatelli, 10/10. For desert we got the Warm Almond Cake, also a 10/10. Everything was paired perfectly. Our overall experience was amazing. Would definitely come back here again. It was worth the 1hr and 20 minute drive.
Heard great things about Cambridge Mill and was really looking forward to dinner. Unfortunately it was underwhelming. The food was tasty, but not worth the price. $25 for two scallops, and the beef tartare had so much egg yolk it was pooling on the plate. The server was nice and offered to bring a new order or something to scrape the yolk off. She also offered to reseat us with a water view when a table opened up, but we just wanted to get out of there.
My friends and I came here for the Sunday brunch for $75 per person. We were super excited and looking forward to trying out this place and it was to celebrate my friend s birthday. We were driving also driving all the way from Markham. We booked our reservation for 11:30am and at 10:30am due to traffic, we were pretty sure we wouldn t make it until 12:00pm. So we gave the them a call. We were told that we have only 2 hours seating time and that if we came at 12, we would only have 1.5 hours to eat. Or we could change our reservation to 2pm. So of course we opted for the 1.5hrs seating time since we were already halfway there. We arrive at 12 and were seated, and since we knew we had only 1.5hrs so we headed to grab some food right away. Right when our 1.5 hrs hit, we were presented with the bill and prior to that, the manager that seated us kept looking at our table. It seemed like she was checking if we were going to leave soon. We paid our bill then took our turns going to the washroom. While my friend was still in the washroom, the manager came to check to see if we were leaving yet. She basically was trying to kick us out. We each paid $94 including tax and tips and was only given 1.5 hrs to eat and like no flexibility on time. I just wouldn t recommend it to anyone. We understand we were late but we also called an hour ahead. The food was good but average, not something that is worth the drive. You can get the same thing anywhere in Toronto. The service for the drinks was also extremely slow and the service in general was just average.
Exemplary Sunday brunch. Fresh seafood, prime rib, two kinds of eggs Benedict. Great desserts too!
I was there last night for an #exoticca.ca trade show. I cannot express my gratitude enough for The Floor Manager and The Gentleman Server. I only wish I got their names so I could address them properly. The kindness, compassion, and love they showed me with my meal order Carnivore Lifestyle was absolutely incredible. I would recommend The Cambridge Mill for any function. They are on top of their game and it shows in their professionalism. They care about their customers. Dietary restrictions: Carnivore Lifestyle
Food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. Worth the visit!
The service is good. Kitchen is abit slow. Unfortunately when we went they were out of the turkey thanksgiving meal. So we needed ordering from their regular menu. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was pretty good. The snow crab cavatelli pasta was good. The ricotta agnolotti and chicken entre tasted average. The warm almond cake that came with gelato was really really good. The blueberry cheesecake was not so good. The ambience of the restaurant itself was nice.
Food is great and the service is impeccable. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Food was great and fresh, service was great we were never waiting for anything. It is a little more expensive, however, it is a great place for an anniversary or special occasion. We will definitely be back.
A bit on the pricier side but everything was amazing. The brunch was delicious and the service was fantastic. The employees were very organized and efficient.
We attended a wedding here and the grounds are spectacular, but its the staff that really makes it. The way things are orchestrated and managed is top notch. A manager oversees every detail at every table, ensuring everything is perfect and everyone gets what they need. 10/10 service!
We went on Sunday, a delicious brunch
We just had our wedding at the Cambridge Mill in October and it was such a pleasure. The staff, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. The guests complimented their attention to detail, delicious food and beautiful views. Even with a few unexpected hiccups, the overall event went smoothly and we are so thankful for everyone s help in making our special day absolutely perfect. We have no doubt that we ll be back to celebrate more milestones in the future!
Amazing brunch
A bit disappointed with the food, they said they had more Vegan options than they actually had service was okay but promises made were broken and to us that brings you to a lower review. Atmosphere is amazing, the water, the nature and the ambiance inside the rooms are incredible.
I had the pleasure of celebrating our marriage at Cambridge Mill October 12th. From the minute we stepped into our first meeting up to getting in the car to go back to the hotel after our reception it had been such a wonderful experience. Throughout the whole night our guest felt so welcomed and taken care of with all their asks and requirements. Saying how wonderful and beautiful everything was. I really want to make sure I shout out to three exceptional people who without them I truly don t think it would be as memorable! To the chef who I never got the chance to formally meet in person but have heard amazing things about.. From the hors d oeuvres, then appetizers, following entrees to dessert, and finally finishing with our seafood buffet and poutine bar, all our guest (especially Andrew and myself) could not stop mentioning how delicious every single bit really was! Thank you so much for accommodating all mine and my guest needs and asks and thank you for all your help food is such an important part and you nailed every point! Quinn, who not only my mother (and guarantee my grandmother) but myself Andrew really want to say a special thank you to. You have such a kind presence and really made every moment such a joy. You thought of everything I could think of and details in helping every part run smoothly. Everything was beautifully executed, and I really felt all our guest were taken care of to the best that they could have been. The biggest thanks to you! Lastly Miss Stefanie, you are truly beautiful on the outside and inside. I am so thankful for having you stand with us on that day, I really could not ask for anyone better. You have such a sweet warmth about yourself and that really made every nerve and worry of what might go wrong just hush. The second we walked up on that rehearsal day my daughter could not stop smiling with you and had we felt so comfortable knowing you would be with us for that day. You will always be a memory on this special day and I hope we cross paths again. Thank you so so so much for everything!
A great meal, atmosphere & waitress. Thanks for making our 21st wedding anniversary meal special.
This place is the place to go for every special occasion. The food is top notch and the service is impeccable. Obviously the view is spectacular.
Brunch! Always excellent, the service is top notch, worth the 3 month waiting list :) Food : 5/5
Had my birthday dinner there , the food was excellent . Really tasty especially the pasta Michelle was our server .She was excellent very friendly , very attentive , and always had a smile on her face ! Brava
Went here for an anniversary dinner. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the staff were very accommodating & made sure our experience was perfect. Special thanks to Tricia for taking such great care of us.
We went there for lunch on Friday and the place was not busy. Our table was located in the patio and the view was excellent. The server was very professional and serving with a big smile. We ordered appetizers, main and deserts. The mushroom flatbread was tasty but the main dish-Pea Risotto was salty and lacking flavor even with add on scallops for $52. The scallops needed to sautéed a bit more to get the color. Overall score: Ambiance- 5, Service- 4 and Food -3
Great place
A beautiful event space and a perfect backdrop for a ceremony while enjoying the views of the rushing water, the beautiful horizon and the sunset. I was there recently for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the quality of the food.
Pretty disappointed to be honest. We always enjoyed coming to the Mill over the years; however this last dinner was very underwhelming. Portions were tiny and we left hungry. Ordered a drink neat and the waiter came back with less than half an oz of alcohol in the glass. The menu prices now are comical for what you actually get. The Mill needs to do a better job bringing value back to the customer!
Beautiful venue. My husband and I got married here in 2014 and come back yearly for our anniversary dinner.
We had our wedding at the Cambridge Mill over the weekend and it was the most incredible day. To Dalton, our coordinator, there are not enough words to describe how amazing you are! You made this entire process so easy. You were so knowledgeable and supportive and we honestly couldn t have done it without you. To Cassidy, our concierge, we loved having you part of our day. You were so kind, organized and attentive and made the day flow so effortlessly. We appreciate you bringing us snacks during our photos at Mill Race Park! We literally had the best people taking care of us. Venue, staff, food and service 10/10. Truly the best in the wedding business!
We celebrated my wife s birthday last night, and the entire experience was beyond expectation. The Mill is a beautiful place, inside and out. The view, the design and decor, the unobtrusive music and generally quiet level of conversation made for a great place to dine, and boy, did we dine. The dishes are well thought out and expertly executed, with depths of flavour and beauty of presentation that make this a very special restaurant. To top it all off, or rather, to make this all possible, requires a level of service to match. The Mill surpasses others by offering not only the highest level of service and attention, but doing so without pretence or stuffiness. Our server Bobby is a perfect example of the best kind of server: attentive to even small details, thoroughly charming, and once he realized that we were a group that likes to chat and joke, he was right there with us while clearly maintaining the requisite attentiveness to other tables. It is very clear that the staff enjoy their jobs, which speaks to how well the restaurant is run. Happy staff makes for happy diners. The Mill strikes the hard-to-acheive balance of luxury and relaxed comfort. We will be back!
Ive always enjoyed my experiences at the Cambridge Mill, which is why its difficult to share a less favorable review. During our dinner on August 29th, the food fell short of the high standards weve come to expect there. Each dish seemed slightly off somehow: the beef tartare itself featured some unexpected ingredients that didn t quite belog, the octopus was flavoured in a way that felt more suited to a curry than a seafood dish, and the pork, unfortunately, completely lacked flair. The Ahi Tuna was a highlight however, with geneorus perfectly sliced, flavorful pieces, but the accompanying peas added a crunch that felt out of place. The service, as always, was attentive and welcoming, though there was a particularly noticeable delay with our drinks. It s disappointing to write this, as this restaurant has been a favorite for a few years, and I m wondering if there might be a new chef or some changes in the kitchen. I hope this was just an off night and that the consistency we ve loved in the past returns soon.
Came from out of town for our anniversary we were treated extremely well. The service by Becky and Gabby was beyond exceptional.
Excellent Ambience and great vibe !! The food was well served and presented. The server was amazing ! The view from windows adds charm and sets the mood
While every moment in the restaurant was amazing, and loved Bree (sp?) and her care for our drinks and cutlery, the price point was high for a no alcohol AYCE breakfast buffet. If there were a lower price for the non alcoholic option this would be a 5 star for me, and if you are partaking of the bottomless breakfast drinks, then it is reasonable. The seafood was fresh and tasty (loved the smoked salmon!) and the prime rib and brisket were both quite good. Thanks for making my birthday a little more special. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an entrance near park hill that made my friends entrance very manageable. Nearby parking allowed close access, and there was space to pull a car up for the extremely short distance travellers.
Jasmine is the best god damn bar tender in the game, just ask for her, you wont be disappointed.
As a long-term wedding photographer in Waterloo Region, I have experience at the majority of the regions wedding venues, and its easy to see that Cambridge Mill is one of the regions best wedding venues. Being part of the Pearle Weddings group tells you that the staff is obsessed with delivering an amazing wedding experience to couples and guests, the space is beautiful and well-maintained, the food is always great and youre sure to have an amazing and memorable wedding.
Had our wedding here and it was the best venue ever! Thank you for all your hard work and for paying such close attention to all the details we asked for. You made our special day perfect!
Spectacular food, high quality and tasty. Amazing service, thank you Bri. A full 5 star experience. All of this complemented by an incredible view. A must visit. Wheelchair accessibility: Two wheel chair accessible entrances and easily accommodated our power chair
Never misses. Great food, great atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, great food, fantastic drinks!
The service was minimal and very slow. The food was good but not for the price.
Love this place!
Tiktok made us try it. First time at the Cambridge Mill and completely worth it. Spectacular views of the mill and the river. Thank you to our server Monica and the rest of the staff for making us feel welcome. A must try experience, with great food and exceptional service.
Another scrumptious wedding dinner set, this time courtesy of @cambridge_mill ; starting off with the heirloom tomato soup which was rich in the sweet aroma of fresh tomatoes, for the main course there was braised beef short rib or Atlantic salmon and between the two the short rib was the most memorable as it was cooked to perfection; it was very soft and tender as you bite into it and as you reach closer and closer to the middle of it there is more marble portions which literally melts in your mouth like butter and every bite is infused with succulent flavours, finally we end of with a delicious mascarpone cheesecake with granola and fresh fruit on the side. Hats off to the iron/master chef and sous chef responsible for last night s dinner! Food blog IG: terryaki.experience
This place is fantastic. Specifically I would like to thank Maddie and Carlos for their exceptional service. Maddie was the coordinator for my sisters wedding and it is quite apparent that she is meant to be doing this job. Every need and request was met with a smile and she consistently went the extra mile. Carlos had the Bar on lock! Remembering drink orders from the hoards of people at the wedding and being a social maestro, making all of us feel welcome and supported! We are thankful for all of the staff at the Mill but these two made our experience top notch. Give them a raise, promotion, and anyone who is looking to have their wedding here needs to request them to be on their staff team. keep it up!
I am obsessed with the Sunday brunch here! Its such an incredible experience, and the food is perfection.
I came here for the AYCE brunch, which costs $75 pp. While my table had a lovely view and the service was attentive with continuous drink refills, I m not sure the food was entirely worth the price. Highlights included the prime ribs and desserts, and I loved that coffee, mimosas, juice, and other drinks were included. Moving on to the negatives. Even though the oysters were hyped up heavily on social media, they didn t taste fresh and were quite small. The shrimps had similar issues. Also, the hot food selection was small and mediocre the ham Benedict and chocolate pancakes were mid. If youre a huge foodie, this may not be the spot, especially if you have to travel far to get there.
Excellent atmosphere and excellent food. Great view over the river.
Always LOVE coming to Cambridge Mill for my couples weddings! The staff is so very helpful and wonderful to work with!
we had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely outstanding. The service was impeccable Emily, our server, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole evening delightful. Truly a 10/10 on all front
Delicious and great service
Always a good place for brunch with lots of food to choose from. Prices have gone up but so has everything else.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Quirky cocktails and a great variety of mains. Fungi flatbread stands out as a great shareable app. Octopus main was stellar.
Definately pricey but the food quality is good. Buffet is amazing and a lot, could try everything. The ingredients they use are very good. Nothing tast or lookeded processed and all tasted like it was made in house. They made their own nachos from scratch with their own seasoning and it was good. Just good ingredients made the whole meal great. Highly recommend if you can afford the price.
Came here for a wedding event over the summer. Very beautiful! The bartender and servers were all very polite and always checked in with us if we needed anything.
Just celebrated our anniversary here! The steak was probably the best steak we have ever had. Food options were a bit limited for pickup eaters. It was also a bit difficult to hear and talk to each other with the loudness of the live music. But the artist was excellent!
The food was good but the service and atmosphere were amazing! We got a table by the window by the river and I could have sit there all day!
A place with a beautiful view and fantastic food. Staff was friendly and attentive to the table. Had amazing time there for a wedding.
RF & Analog Consulting held their semi-annual general meeting at the Cambridge Mill. The food and service was excellent and we hope to come again.
Best restaurant in the area hands down! Amazing place, food and service
everything was so good..staff were veey nice sepaciallu brenden
Wedding review. I had my wedding here back in March 2023. And while the Mill is amazing and so beautiful, I cannot give it 5 stars. And the main reason is because of a change they made to my wedding contract without telling me. And what they changed was not something small. They changed my ceremony time without telling me. They did change it on the contract, but no communication happened. So the Wednesday before my wedding I get an email from our coordinator asking won t these shuttle bus times interfere with your ceremony time? . We booked the shuttle and shuttle drop off/pickup times based off of our originally given ceremony time, and booked the shuttle right away after given our ceremony time and such. I was in a panic. We had obviously already sent out the times of our ceremony on the invites and everything. It couldn t be changed now. Luckily I had the most amazing wedding planner on my side that handled it all for me. The best they could do was move it 15 minutes. Given how much its costs to have a wedding there, I was not too pleased with that answer. They were apologetic, and on the day of the wedding they allowed the bar to stay open an extra 15 minutes. Which was nice, but overall doesn t make up for what happened. But even given that, I would still recommend the Cambridge Mill for your wedding. It s a wonderful space, the staff are knowledgeable and professional. We loved our wedding maître de. Everything was organized and planned to the final detail. I loved my wedding at the Cambridge Mill.
Attended a wedding. The chapel is beautiful - right on the river. The appetizers were very good and service was excellent. Great drinks. But the beef at dinner was amazing! Asked for rare and it was beautifully rare. A real treat.
Everything about this place is amazing. The food, atmosphere, and the service are all impeccable. Our waiter was great as always. Third time weve had him over the last year and a half. (I apologize but I forget his name)
Just went there to try out the Heron menu. You better of order from the regular menu. The watermelon salad is literally few cubes of water melon with a base sauce. The watermelon cubes were not even that fresh - not just cut. The short rib was super small and the veggies along with it not really has much flavor. All in all you better off ordering from regular menu. But I always loved the view of Grand River.
Excellent service, with stunning views and a beautiful atmosphere
First time at the Cambridge Mill and worth the drive! Not only did we have a gorgeous view of the Grand River the food was top notch...so delish and cooked to perfection...a real sensory delight! Thumbs up to the mixologist for the perfect cocktails. Thanks to Michelle, our lovely server, for the surprise dessert and for making our anniversary dinner a memorable one!
Management is the worse I ve seen. Austin is a poor excuse of an individual and should be let go. I will never take my family there again.
Their all-you-can eat brunch is delicious & the scenery is amazing. However, they lose stars for cleanliness & pricing - washroom was disgusting, no paper towels, empty toilet paper rolls, terrible smell. Not what I was expecting from such an expensive and high-end restaurant. Also be aware after tax & mandatory gratuity the brunch is $100+ vs $75, which is definitely hefty compared to similar buffets.
My wife and I were here for brunch Sunday Aug 4th. The service, the location, the views, and the atmosphere were AMAZING! I was particularly impressed with the serving staff, they worked as a team, they were quick to clear empty plates and cups, and quick on the refills! The views were pretty good too, we sat facing the river and rapids on a beautiful sunny day so it felt really romantic. The food was decent too, my wife enjoyed the unlimited oysters and I stuck to the brisket and roast beef which were good. However, is it worth the $200 for a couple after tax and tip for brunch? . Maybe once for a special occasion.
From the moment you step in until the moment you leave, the attentive staff make sure your experience is outstanding. The ambiance is stunning, with beautiful interior design and a splendid view. We arrived for dinner a bit early, but were welcomed instantly. Everything we tried was phenomenal. Every bite and sip was seriously delicious. The oysters on the half shell were delightful, and the burrata was a treat. For mains, we savored a ribeye that melted in our mouths and a delicious pappardelle. The drinks and desserts were spot on! This spot is a must-visit, especially for special occasions. Highly recommended! Special shout-out to Brendan, our server, who made the experience even more memorable!
My wife and I hosted a post wedding rehearsal dinner for a group of 15 last night in the private room at Cambridge Mill. From the moment we arrived until we left about 2 and 1/2 hours later, our head server Erin and server/sommelier Brendan made us feel welcome, were professional and courteous, and provided service that was nothing short of spectacular! The Mill worked with us to provide a shortened menu for the large group, and absolutely *everything* that was served - opening with delicious country grain bread with sesame seeds, to the wonderful green/caesar salads, to the pork chop/chicken/pappardelle with lamb ragout, to every one of the 5 desserts our group tried was delectable! The private room was exactly what we needed to celebrate the occasion and it came with spectacular views of the Grand River to boot :). I cannot thank Erin and Brendan enough, as well as the entire kitchen and bar team in the background that made our meal so memorable! I cannot recommend the Cambridge Mill enough!
We had our wedding here and we had an amazing experience. Food was amazing. They were very accommodating and answered all our questions.
I loved this place so much, I attend a wedding there! Every thing was so organized! The ceremony hall with the stunning view on the river, and then the reception before the dinner with a lot of delicious finger foods and multiple choices of drinks and finally the dinner with the beautiful couple. Love the restaurant soooo much!
Wonderful
We went on Saturday evening first time to Cambridge mill , this Place is stunning, view was amazing. Food was amazing, Service was Amazing, our Waitress Stephanie was amazing, we had an incredible experience We will go this amazing place again soon Service
A small town with a very laid-back atmosphere, worth experiencing
Incredible Warm, friendly service from a waitress who went above and beyond. Delicious and meticulously prepared food. Excellent ambiance and gorgeous videos. Simply stunning
amazing experience, beautiful view, great service, and unlike some of the other high end restaurants in the KW area the food did not disappoint. We had the farm loaf to start which was fantastic, ceasar and house green salads, steaks as the main, and chocolate mousse and lemon something (sorry don t remember the exact name) for desert. Everything was so good, and our server was very attentive and made us feel at home. Thank you so much for making our anniversary such a delightful experience!
We hosted our daughters baby shower at the Mill on Sunday with 50 guest attending While we booked the event several month ago, we found our event to be shuffled into the basement with no window. The whole point of coming to the Mill is to celebrate the great venue with a beautiful view. The food served was buffet style, OK at best and guest found themselves having to wait and standing around before the tray s would be refilled. After the event my credit card was incorrectly charged $619 for a service we did not receive. Still today- waiting for the refund to be posted- they said it takes days. Overall, I will not go back to the Mill for any event. The price for such high end venue are way to high for what you get.
Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 5 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 5 Stars I recently had the pleasure of attending an Influencer Tasting at Cambridge Mill the past Sunday, and although my visit was compensated, Im keen to share my experience as its one I would happily repeat on my own dime. Nestled a stones throw from Toronto, Cambridge Mill offers a unique take on the all-you-can-eat brunch. Their spread is a food lovers dream, boasting an impressive selection of brunch classics such as perfectly poached eggs benedict, a hearty eggs florentine, succulent prime rib, and beautifully glazed salmon. The pastries and desserts are fresh from the oven, promising to satisfy any sweet tooth. The cold buffet is a feast for the eyes and the palate, with freshly shucked oysters, tender smoked salmon, and plump shrimp. The charcuterie is thoughtfully curated, featuring a variety of textures and flavours. At $73 per adult, $36 for children aged 5-12, and complimentary for the little ones under five, its priced to reflect the quality and range of the offerings. In addition to the food, the beverage selection is noteworthy, with refreshing mimosas, robust caesars, freshly-pressed juices, and coffee to round out the meal. It s a delight to know these beverages are included without additional charges, providing a complete dining experience. The staff at Cambridge Mill deserve a special mention for their professionalism and warm hospitality. They were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the meal that didn t go unnoticed. Lastly, the setting itself, with the fall season upon us, is truly a sight to behold. The surrounding foliage, which promises to be spectacular in the coming weeks, is the perfect backdrop for a leisurely Sunday drive and a long, indulgent brunch. In summary, Cambridge Mills brunch is a commendable outing for those seeking quality food in a beautiful environment. I recommend timing a visit to coincide with the fall colours it s an experience not to be missed. kellychan360
Nice view while. Offers buffet!!! yay!!
We had my daughters rehearsal dinner on a Wednesday evening. Food, service and staff was excellent.
Great experience with Josh!
Went for our anniversary last night and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food is always amazing as well.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Cambridge Mill in the Waterfront Room! It s a beautiful location and perfect for photos. The staff made sure the day was perfect and treated our guests great. Everyone raved about the quality of the food and the drinks at the bar! Our concierge, Jordan and Ethan were especially helpful making us feel like royalty all day long!
It was a wonderful experience, food was great and the waitress was awesome
Loved celebrating a birthday at Cambridge mills! The sesame seeds were the best on my bread :) Enjoyed how yummy our passionfruit dessert was - so meringue! Thanks for making the toastiest seeds in Cambridge!!! Also, was nice to see the owner, Mr. Hering, perching right downhill! Cheers! Try the lamb pasta plate when in the summer!
We were pleased to join Cambridge mill for Sunday brunch celebrating my fathers birthday. Thank you to the team to accommodate all our needs! Buffet is very fresh and tasty, mimosas are unlimited and atmosphere was pleasant and joyful. Highly recommend.
This place is awesome and view from the window is extraordinary especially in the evening time.
Fantastic experience...if you are reading this, Stop and just go! You will not be disappointed.
Got married here and have had brunch here a few times. Always a 5-star experience the staff are trained extremely well as they are always pleasant and attentive. This is a gem that I hope never goes away.
Food was amazing! Lots of great lunch options. We were seated along the windows, facing the river. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The management does an excellent job of ensuring the property is spotless and well maintained.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary last night at the Mill. They gave us a quiet corner for 8 people. Becky was our server who was so kind and welcoming. They served us two champagnes for the occasion and a beautiful dessert plate. We had a wonderful celebratory dinner. Everything was perfect. We will return again for other occasions for sure or just a date night.
Great location and live music
My parents and I loved the Sunday brunch. The food was delicious, with a wide variety at the hot and cold bars. The bottomless mimosas were a delightful touch, adding to the relaxing vibe of the occasion. Thank you for making this day so memorable for us Wheelchair accessibility: This is extremely important when we travel with my mom. I didn t have any difficulties and the restaurant provided us with accommodations.
I ordered 1 oz of tequila and 1 oz of cognac. My bill came to 167.64 including a 20.00 tip. At any fine dining restaurant that would be 15.00 each and the Mill is not a fine dining restaurant
Dinner on a weekday was absolutely lovely and cozy with a gorgeous view. Delicious food, great wine.
Robert was wonderful! Great night as always.
Some of the best food and for sure the best view in the Region of Waterloo!
Divine, as always. Hadn;t been back in a while and everything was wonderful. Spectacular summer menu, excellent service.
Enjoyed the Sunday brunch with family and friends. Great selection of food. Friendly service. Lovely location beside the Grand River. Good selection of drinks incl. in cost of buffet. Only complaint was the price: flat rate of $98 per person incl. taxes and compulsory 18% tip. No discounts for seniors.
Very good. Large number of selections and availability even on the 2PM slot. A staff with a radio actually patrols the food stalls and inform the kitchen which dishes nèds replenishing. Stand out items - huge oysters shucked in front of you. Oversized shrimps. Roast beef melts in your mouth while beef brisket is juicy. Non stop mimosa servings. Great services even with a huge wedding reception upstairs.
Really, really enjoyed it. Great staff, amazing food, and a pretty amazing view to top it off. Definitely going back
Great venue, fantastic staff, friendly and always with a smile which is rare these days.
The food and service were top notch, our view of the river was stunning! Highly recommended!
Came here for Sunday brunch. We did make reservations because we have a large group. Came here at 11:30am and our table is ready. Our server is very attentive but he seems to be very busy. Buffet stations are set up in two separate rooms, if you have people with disabilities in your group I suggest you help them with there food. Food quality is good and selection is not bad. With the Brunch buffet price I do have higher expectations then what they offer but overall is ok. Everyone work at the restaurant is very friendly and make us feels very comfortable. They have a seating limit of 90 mins but we were there over 90 mins and they are fine with that. Parking is free and no problem because they have a big parking lot. Ask for seats next to the windows of possible because it is a look out to the river and it is beautiful.
We have been here several times and it has always been wonderful!
Atmosphere and view of Grand River was amazing! Shout out to our server Justin who was friendly, engaging and elevated our experience.
Our first time at the restaurant. A bit odd we didnt get the usual bread, though our neighbors did. We ordered seared scallops (only two, as warned by our server) and Trout and Albacore Tuna for dinner. Portions were small, but the ambiance was great, and the food was delicious with beautiful presentation. Parking: Easy accessible parking lot with plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair.
Went on a random weekday with the wifey and the burger was amazing and our servers even better!
The Cambridge Mill and Pearl Events were very accommodating and helpful while planning our perfect winter wedding! The event management team was professional and understanding and met all of our dietary restrictions and special requests. The day-of staff were very polite and knew our schedule better than we did. All of the food served was hot and delicious. We still get compliments about it! They somehow managed to host several weddings at a single venue without having any crossover from wedding parties or guests. We look forward to having anniversary dates to the Cambridge Mill to reminisce on such an incredible day.
An absolutely stunning place to have a wedding! The staff was amazing and the food was the best I have ever had at a wedding.
Food was quite good. We enjoyed the beef tartare, especially the chips. As well, the Burrata with the fresh fruits and vegetables were good. The scallop main was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, parts of the steak were cooked more well but the rest was medium rare. The cream brûlée was refreshing, and the carrot cake good. Our non alc drinks were delicious and had quite mature flavours. Our server did rush us a bit, and we felt that he was inattentive to our needs. He did not ask us how the entrees were, and we did not have a chance to share on the doneness of the steak.
Sunday brunch was fantastic. Great selection of hot and cold items. Menu is completely nut-free! Very allergy conscious! Service was great.
We held our wedding here and it was incredible. Everything to the smallest details was perfect. The food is delicious, and the service is 10/10.
Great experience dining at the Cambridge mill. Dug into the mushroom risotto before taking a photo but it was divine!
Update. We went back after they offered a gift card and they levelled up! The spot we remeber. We usually love the mill. Came to celebrate a new career last night. Soup came lukewarm. Main courses took forever to come and were extremely over cooked. Actually sent the halibut back as it tasted like someone dumped an entire bottle of salt all over it. They don t even offer fresh ground pepper for meals? Disappointed. Not the place it used to be. They did call and offer a good will gesture to come back. Here s to hoping next time is better.
If I could eat here every day I would. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere and service are beyond expectations. Easily one of the best restaurants I ve ever been too. Not to mention the beautiful view
Sunday brunch was awesome. So many delicious options.
One of our favourite spots to visit! The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, food is always delicious and fresh, service is incredible and everyone is so kind and professional! Our favourite spots are with the river view and the room with the fireplace in the winter is absolutely gorgeous. You see the river and dine while a fireplace is on. Highly recommend!
