One of the best venues Ive ever been to, amazing every time and a huge thanks to Riley, Finn, Tegan & Justin who absolutely made our night for Christmas by giving us the best service ever!

Hafya and Jelwika gave us a lovely experience on our 5th anniversary with prosecco on the house. The food was great and the atmosphere was classy without pretentiousness. Only issue was that our table olives were taken away before we were finished with them, but that was not a big deal.

We drove an hour from Northamptonshire to have a birthday celebration lunch and it was well worth the drive. The service from Josip was excellent,he also assisted me with my choice of cocktail , he was so helpful and the food was exceptionally good. I had the pork loin on the bone with trimmings followed by raspberry sorbet and a coffee. Loved the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. The seating is just how i personally like it, not overcrowded with tables so you can hear other guests conversations.If you can make a visit, you will not be disappointed and say hi to Josip Parking: Parking at the hotel 3hrs free. They ask for you vehicle registration

We decided to give this restaurant a try after reading all the positive reviews. However, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food and certainly wouldn t return. The burger had a very strong cheese which ruined it, and the quality of the meat was poor. The set menu portions were very small.The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff were friendly and provided a good service.

Had the most wonderful birthday here, the food was cooked perfectly in their calm and lovely open plan kitchen. Didnt even quibble about my complex allergies and gave us a treat on the house as it was a celebration. The staff were so kind and hospitable, Hafya was warm and welcoming - as was the whole team. My friend and I enjoyed the Twilight Thursday set menu and health club access. In the restaurant, Hafyal was so welcoming and thorough to ensure my friend felt comfortable in view of dietary requirements. There was a slight delay in our cocktail order as the bar was busy but we were kept updated, and they were delicious when they arrived. Thanks also to Josip for his attentive service. Dietary restrictions: Were able to provide advice and adjustments for a dairy free meal.

Group of 9 meeting for lunch. Staff were happy to wait for everyone to arrive, have a drink in the garden and come to the table when we were ready. No rushing, or pressure. Table overlooked the river which was lovely. Excellent presentation of food. Meal was very good, although we agreed that Cambridge burnt tart was something we wouldnt bother ordering again. The salads, fish and sorbet were very good. Price of the Prosecco was a bit of a shock but the food was well priced considering level of service and quality of the meal, and we felt OK about the 15% service charge. Dietary restrictions: Staff checked food intolerance before taking orders and came back with appropriate information

I had two outstanding men behind the bar, Elliott and I think Kleiv. Both great guys to speak with, and enjoyed the talk about whisky, and general UK issues. They also helped with a few particularly weird issues I had with a client staying at the hotel. Very much appreciated, and hope I run into them again.

Great dining experience and the rib eye steak was perfect and one of the best I had. Hightly recommended. Most important of all Hafya gave a fantastic service and an enjoyable dining experience.

This is a lovely restaurant, with a great drinks menu and somewhat limited food listing. That said, what we chose, a cheeseburger, was terrific. Kudos to our servers Rob S and Elliott.

Enjoyed a lovely meal at this new Hilton brand in their atmospheric restaurant in this quirky hotel. Our server, Hafya, was spot on in commenting on how lovely the Romanian Pinot Grigio wine we had chosen would be. Great ambience, lovely staff and delicious food. Hope to visit again.

Would like to praise/shout out for the amazing service we received. Three brilliant individuals- starting with a caring and charming man named Rob- Haffa was great! We often go to the graduate for cocktails and Elliot is always super helpful, friendly and excellent at making cocktails! particularly negronis and dry martinis. Even when very busy he is charming and helpful. Drinks are always well balanced and served in a lovely glass. The Graduate is a great bar for an afternoon or evening drink, and our dog is also v welcome here! Great river views, perfect spot in the summer and cosy in the winter. We have had many a great Sunday lunch here too and the food is excellent. Parking: If you eat parking is free

Absolutely delicious, fresh and varied cuisine to suit all palates and dietary requirements/preferences. I really appreciated the efforts taken to create some new and innovative approaches to many of the dishes. I had the charred Hispi cabbage with butterbean & sesame hummus and spiced maple glaze; it was cooked to perfection and the medley of different spices and seasoning - in addition to the combination of textures, married together wonderfully to produce a culinary masterpiece! For dessert, I had chocolate hazelnut ice-cream and strawberry ripple; the ice-cream was deliciously creamy and flavourful, with the former having ripples of chocolate syrup and crunchy hazelnuts, and the latter with strands of strawberry syrup/coulis. All the staff - from those at the front desk of the hotel - to the restaurant staff, were exceedingly friendly and welcoming. Our main server for the evening was Hemang, and he did a wonderful job of being efficient, informative and friendly, making sure we were happy with our food during each course. The atmosphere in the restaurant was calming, quiet and ambient, with subdued lighting and beautiful decor. Although not a cheap meal out, it was definitely worth every penny and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty of delicious vegetarian fare - and quite a few vegan options too. Dietary restrictions: The staff are very careful to ensure that any dietary restrictions and allergies are catered for, and will ask before ordering.

Ismail, Megan and Elliot are the predominant reason I will always gravitate to The Graduate. It has become my go to for meetings, dinners and drinks. Great atmosphere, superseded by the diligent and genuine service. The staff are what makes this place feel like home for me.

Ive had several days of fantastic experiences at the Garden House. Im in Cambridge for a week for work, and have only a little time to explore. Im a fan of gin, and definitely wanted to try some new ones in the homeland of herbals and juniper. Every night, Elliot and Riley have been helping me choose two to taste for comparison (before choosing one for a full cocktail). Elliots knowledge of gins and Rileys recommendations have been fantastic. This experience has really made my visit to Cambridge special, in a way I didnt think would be possible given my limited time here. Thank you both.

Took my girlfriend here for afternoon tea. Parking was free for guests which was pleasing - the sandwiches and scones were lovely and we even were given some extra clotted cream and jam to take home with our left overs. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion!

Had a 5pm slot booked for Sunday Roast and was hoping to order the chicken roast that I had seen on the menu online and had been looking forward to for a few days, only to discover it doesn t exist on the menu we were handed at the restaurant. I am very disappointed with the false advertising, and if I would have known in advance, I would have gone somewhere else for a roast instead but unfortunately due to the timing everywhere else was shut so our dinner plans were completely ruined. I hope that in the future the online menu will accurately reflect what is available in the restaurant.

A very nice Afternoon Tea for two (including one very good dairy free). A lovely setting by the water with large umbrellas to shelter from the hot sun on the day we visited. Service was a little hit and miss, but not a major problem for us.

Took my girlfriend here the other week and we absolutely loved the place. The food was great! I highly recommend the grilled red prawns. The service was outstanding and timely. We were served by Ismail who helped us with food and wine recommendations along with any other questions we had. We went home delighted with our evening, the food and the service.

Lovely to have a table in the garden, by the river, on a sunny evening last Sunday. Friendly service. Our chalk-stream trout was nicely cooked and presented, but I dont believe it had been anywhere near a chalk stream, or any other river. Looked remarkably like the loch trout fillets I buy from the supermarket. Probably just as well, given the sad state of many of our chalk streams; but then it shouldnt be sold as such!

Hafya and her colleagues saved my day. Our reservation for afternoon tea apparently didnt come through from Open Table, but they accommodated us cheerfully. I had so been looking forward to English tea with fancy little cakes and finger sandwiches and was disproportionately disappointed to find we were too late. Its a silly little thing, Ill admit, but as disappointed as I was that I was going to miss it, I was over the moon when they pivoted to help us. Besides that isolated incident, service was excellent, as was the food, and the large river view windows made for a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Dietary restrictions: p.s. - my fiancé is allergic to nuts, and they made him his own plate without batting an eye.

Bottomless brunch. This place should have been amazing as the location is perfect BUT it wasnt! Though there was plenty of staff they were not attentive. Our glasses should have been refilled to the point of the staff asking us do you require a top up not us having to ask them and then have to wait! The set 3 course meal was poor, the starter was to share between 2 with 3 pieces of bread and a tonne of 3 varieties of hummus and a few pomegranate seeds. The main was mostly ok except the awful French toast, I asked should it be hot or cold and was told it was ment to be warm which it wasnt, they replaced mine with yet another cold piece. The rhubarb dessert was like a drink as it was runny inconsistency. After about half an hour I felt sick and around an hour after the meal I had to rush to the toilet to actually be sick! I only had less than 2 peach spritz drinks and was not even slightly affected by the alcohol. After Id been sick we took ourselves outside on the terrace and got some water brought out to us and then my friends wanted a drink and asked for a menu which came and an member of staff passed by and was given their drink order but it never arrived! So poor! Im 57 years old and have never felt so disappointed with the service and food but especially the service! We did complain and was given a 20% discount on our bill. Im writing this review on Monday as I lay in bed ill and have diarrhoea. The doctor has been contacted and Ill wait to see if I have food poisoning!

Great location, but some of the worst service I ve had in a while. Stale sourdough, wrong beer, rude/not attentive staff. Wasn t asked about desserts/coffee and had to go up to ask to pay, removed service charge and no questions asked about why we did so. Shame as lovely location (plus was Monday evening and not busy.)

The food is pretty good especially the whole sea bass without the bone. The service is horrible. We have to waive the water each time and wait for long, ready to order, ready for dessert. We waited for 25 mins just for a simple brownie with ice cream to come. Unbelievable is that they even added a service fee on top of the bill while kids started getting fussy after 2 hr meal which could be completed within 1 hr. I didnt have a chance to read the bill carefully because it is getting late otherwise I will request to remove the service fee, they dont deserve this at all. if there is an option I would give a negative star for service.

Came for afternoon tea for two today as they were advertising special offer. My friend and I were really looking forward to it, but what a disappointment. It looked very sparse on the cake stand. 3 tiny finger sandwiches of egg, coronation chicken and cream cheese & cucumber, each, barely filled. Small tart with salmon which the pastry was soggy. The next layer was 4 of the smallest scones, 2 nearly fruit & 2 plain (not even a dusting of icing sugar). Then the top layer was an eclair the size of your small finger, slice of battenberg and a small soggy strawberry tart. So sorry Garden House but your Afternoon Teas are one of the worst we have had. Wouldnt recommend.

Turned up today with my wife for a romantic meal as this has been on my want to visit for a while. Id previously reviewed the menu and prices, and went out of our way to visit today. We walked into the restaurant and were quickly intercepted by the hostess, who immediately looked me up and down, and asked How can I help you? A table for two please., I replied. Ahh. Its a set menu for £55 per person., she responds again looking me up and down. Yes, thats fine. Just my wife and I please Its unlimited drinks; its £55 per person., she says holding up the set menu. Well, we dont drink alcohol, but thats ok, I confirm. Ahh, well, probably not for you then. No? Probably not. At which point she physically indicates that this conversation is over. We took the heavy hint and left. Wow! Just, wow! Ive genuinely never been so insulted by restaurant staff ever before. Im now home, and this interaction has been seething since. I just assume this is one member of staffs bias and attitute, and not policy. Dont worry, I wont darken your doorway again. Garden House now moved to Never Visit list... a list of one. Atmosphere looked pleasant, and probably would have enjoyed it had the staff not have rejected us at first sight.

Graduate Hotel CAMBRIDGE We have thoroughly enjoyed our latest stay at the Graduate hotel Cambridge on the 28th and 29th June. Having stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions over the past three years, although the stay has always been pleasant, the outside dining area had left a lot to be desired - it lacked organisation, was understaffed and at times food and drink offerings were poor. Upon our return this weekend we were delighted to see that the area had been updated, customers are now asked to wait to be seated before proceeding to a table this provides for a less chaotic dining experience. The food offerings were much improved and the Staff were attentive and friendly. A special thank you to Bruno who facilitated are request to change tables when the sun became a little too much. We are looking forward to our next visit. David and Tracy Kirby (We have not left a food review as we did not eat)

We were very much looking forward to trying the food as we had been for drinks and it was very pleasant, however the service was slightly slow to begin with, the order was taken the starters arrived and although slightly expensive for what they were they were enjoyable, over an hour and a half for our mains where we sent back two steaks that were inedible, the seabass dish was less than impressive with hardly any fish on it and the burger less than impressive nobody came to check on us or came to see about more drinks the service again was disappointing. We had apologies at the end but it doesn t make up for the experience we had and won t be returning

Our waitress Vasiliki was wonderful and I could not fault her and the service from all your staff was excellent. However the scones, while looking beautiful were hard and probably old, which is big part of afternoon tea. The Battenburg was very good.

We had a lovely lunch on the riverbank and then had to switch inside for dessert. Our service was seemless. Elliott picked up our move inside effortlessly. Both servers were quick and responsive to requests. Good service goes a long way. Vegetarian options: We had a great grilled cabbage with humous and I had an excellent berry sorbet. There were two vegan options in the small mains selection which was a nice surprise. The usual plant burger and mine.

Lovely waterside dining spot in a garden setting. Thoughtfully prepared local veggie options. Seafood was particularly delicious. Feels away from it all, and at the same, a front row seat to the comings and goings of the River Cam.

The food and cocktails are excellent, complemented by a stunning garden view of the River Cam. The service is both friendly and attentive, making for a memorable dining experience.

Firstly we asked for the set lunch menu. No one brought it so we asked again. We got the menu and made our choices only for another waitress to come and take the menus away and was told not available on bank holidays. Then our food came. Chips not piping. One burger very rare and one of the chips with an added hair!!! Sent back. Replaced food no real apology and no offer of any refund. They still included the tip!! Shame because its a lovely restaurant with ideal location on the river.

Hemang was very friendly and accommodating. Fine line between too much service and not enough and he got it just right. Food was nice and atmosphere was relaxed. I don t expect much from hotel restaurants especially in the UK but this was a pleasant surprise.

Our waiter ismali was really nice speaking to us and giving us quick service.

Our stay lasted four days. The bar and the friendly bartender Salim are recommended at the end of a day. The afternoon tea was also very stylish and tasty. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the breakfast, especially with the selection (hardly any fruit, few vegetables, no porridge, no muesli). We are used to different standards in comparable hotels.

This is a really beautiful restaurant however the food missed the mark tonight. Charred leek starter had zero charring..they were quite hard. The main of choice was the Greek salad with chicken which was massively over priced. Very small bowl of salad for £20! Very tasty but a little mushy with the feta. Food : 3/5

The evening staff was amazing. Hafya especially and Samip were welcoming and so kind and helpful. We had our whole family and they made a huge table for us. One of us was jet lagged and Hafya had the kitchen make a fruit salad - not on the menu - for him. Our six-year old was treated like a princess. Oh wait, she is - and she thought Hafya was a princess also. Wonderful people. And the food is excellent and surprising easily priced. We will eat here often.

A wonderful afternoon tea at the Garden House. The food was fresh and delicious with a good range of homemade sandwiches, tarts, cakes and scones. All beautifully presented by friendly and professional staff; a particular mention for Yasiliki and Samip who were very welcoming and made sure our drinks were refreshed whenever we needed. The comfortable and elegant setting is perfect overlooking the river and I would imagine it has a nice buzz when it is busy. It was very quiet on our visit but understandable at 5pm on a Monday after half term week. Perfect for a celebration or just to treat yourself!

Such a lovely ambience on the river with an excellent fresh menu and drinks offerings. The staff were delightfully attentive, especially the elegant Hafaya and her assistant Jeevika. Hafaya provides prompt and personal yet unobtrusive service to each table and is a stylish and glamorous presence at the restaurant. All around attentive and professional service in an elegant but comfortable venue.

The burgers were no good, the steaks were so charred they were black with a burnt taste. Any chef knows that the grill has to be cleaned to avoid this. We reported it and they offered to do it again but it would have been the same if the grill is not cleaned properly and we wouldnt have eaten at the same time as our friends. No commercial gesture on the final bill. For a 19 pound burger its a shame.

The food was really nice and the service from Jeevika was really good. Would definitely recommend, very welcoming atmosphere with great views.

We were looking forward to a quiet meal with good food and was very disappointed, the roast beef dinner neither of us could eat the beef as it was full of fat and we returned it twice, the waitress insisted this was a good cut of meat but it was poor, cheap meat with 70% fat, not recommended.

The atmosphere of this place is not bad the outdoor is really nice but it s to cold, service was ok not the best but ok , now for the important part the food I have ordered the roast dinner as you can see from the photo the beef is all there it was pretty bad I could not even eat highly not recommend

I ordered grilled sea bass for lunch. It was absolutely delicious. The staff was very kind and polite. I am Coelic and eat halal only, although the menu options catering to both of my dietary requirements were only few, but the staff was very accommodating and I felt very welcomed. Hafya specially was very kind and made my day. Would definitely come back. Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: Very little liberty with regards to Gluten free options. No halal meat or chicken though.

Service was very slow, we waited about 10 mins just to ask for some water. My friend ordered a starter, me a main but they brought separately so she was sitting with her starter waiting for me for a while. I had to ask twice for butter for bread. I had a burger and chips which was alright. My £6 side salad consisted of a small plate of old and slimy leaves and a few bits of radish. No one checked on us. On clearing plates I fed back re salad and was told it would be taken off bill. I had to ask for a menu and waitress asked why? I said for desert very odd. When I asked for bill the waitress just shoved card machine at me without bill, as I wanted to pay for my friend I did but I asked for bill. And they d still charged for the salad! I pointed this out and she spent over 5 mins trying to sort a refund and I said don t worry as we needed to go. Very poor. It s a lovely setting by river so a shame as I really hoped it would be good.

We just wanted a drink and a nibbling. We liked the garden and even when it was sunny they let us to seat under shadow. However, it took a long time to order and the food arrived late. The service is very slow
