Worth the walk, worth the wait. I ordered tostones main and arepa sides because wanted to try both. The food was shared among two people. Tostones was better than the arepa for me personally. Tostones was more like fritters, thin and crispy, whereas arepa was more dough-y. I combined with spicy and mild sauces together 🔥🔥 I ordered the chicken and pork for the protein. They were both soft and juicy, but the pork is my fave ❤️❤️
Came here for some lunch yesterday. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. It's one of my favorite spots to come over for a treat.
I stopped by after being recommended by a friend. I had vegan tostones. Delicious. It was so filling that I had to bring the rest home, which I have just had for my supper. Lovely owner. I'll definitely be returning to try other dishes.
One of my top 3 food places in Cambridge for sure! The tostones (fried plantain with 2 choices of meat) are a meal I can never get tired of, so delicious and filling. The food here feels like a home-cooked meal but also a treat. The owners are very hands-on, which is a lovely touch that gives an extra welcoming, family vibe to the restaurant. Highly recommend trying La Latina Bustaurante, especially if you're a fan of South American food but regardless! You're going to love it. P.S.: Ask for the coconut lemonade with rum in it... 🤤🤤🤤 Trust me!
Popped in for bite to eat before the cinema and absolutely loved this. Whilst it was generally quiet I think the people of Cambridge are missing a trick with this one. We tried a range of dishes and all of them were generous and delicious. With so many awful chain choices, trying different cuisines like this and supporting a small business is a no brainer. Smiles all round for the family, including the well priced kids meal too.
Fantastic food! So good to have something different- proper authentic South American food and drink! Lovely staff- super helpful. And a great children’s menu
Can’t exactly remember what these were, but they tasted lovely (although not mind- blowing)! The flavours and sauces really came together, but it felt quite expensive for what it was. The service is fairly slow even outside of peak hours, so if you want a quick snack before a movie at Vue, you’d probably want to set aside over an hour for this.
Takes a little time but the freshly made food totally deserves the wait. And they smell so good! My beef empanada and simple (not really) arepa… Crispy outside, gooey inside, and piping hot. The place has been on my list for a while and I just cannot pass by without being tempted to try something (after-movie snack time XD). Next time I will come earlier for lunch. Locates in a beautiful sunlit food court area on the first floor. It really gives an outdoor vibe. Never imagined this even though I have walked through Grafton Center a lot of times. The kitchen looks so clean that hesitated before entering during the unusual mid-afternoon hour. (Having been stuck on this island for a while, how I miss the days of cosmopolitan adventures and cuisines on other continents. For now, the little gem will save me thousands for flight tickets ;) —- 2nd visit Literally what attracts me to walk for half an hour to Grafton (the AREPAS!!!). Even the waiting time is so enjoyable as the smell wafts out of the kitchen, a promise of good food. I had the Arepas main dish with pulled beef and pork today. The meat portion is absolutely satisfying. And many thanks for allowing me to try to veggie stew when the salad is sold out 🥹Tastes so good that I will be ready swap a protein option for it next time (and toss a coin to decide whether to have beef or pork…) Love the spicy hot salsa :D — Tried Tostones today. A little too oily for me. Perhaps I should have gone for plantain chips anyways, for movie snacks. Still love the Arepa and missing the Empanada. —- back again for lunch. I scorched my mouth again 😅 no patience for the arepa to cool down. Tip: Pork is only available later in the afternoon because it’s slow cooked.
I was there Saturday the food was extremely delicious, I loved the empanadas, the arepas and the tostones... I cant wait to be back
First experience of Columbian food, made me want to book a flight there immediately. Epic empanada, both gluten free and dairy free. Absolutely delicious! Dietary restrictions: Great options for vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten free.
Wow what a gem, the food so fresh and delicious, mixed with an offer was absolutely perfect, will have to go again!!!
It was nice but i expect more latín flavor but It was just normal in my opinion
Awful service, we order cheese fries, and we couldn t believe how bad it was. The place was empty and dirty, no excuse to be that dirty pure laziness of the staff. No wonder is always empty. Was my first time and, last.
Although the service seemed a tad slower than usual, it didn t matter as the people were so lovely and welcoming and the food was FABULOUS! So authentic and tasty! Will deffo be coming back! Perfect pre cinema dinner spot!
Been going to this place since it was a bus next to the Beehive Centre. They have such amazing food! Also, I just found out that most of their food is gluten free, so its good if youre intolerant or have an allergy. 100% recommend!
Boiled tastless chicken with uninspiring accompanyments. Needs more flavour and TLC.
Amazing food, amazing service and authentic flavours and drinks from Latin America! Highly recommend
Great food portions. Very fresh and very filling. Real food by real people. Vegetarian options: All meals have a vege options Food : 5/5 |
Hiding in plain sight, this gem of an eatery is a veritable voyage for your taste buds to more than a few Latin American cuisines! Dishes are created with heart and served with soul; what s more, even the chilli sauce is grown locally and is homemade! Of how many eateries can that be said? Not to be missed! Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space available!
Absolutely amazing food! And great vegan options too
Great coconut lemonade and delicious food!
Loved the food! Very generous portions. And the coffee was delicious.
Managed to make the dining area outside the cinema a really pleasant place to eat, green and airy. I had tostones (chicken and pork) and a dulce de leche cheesecake they were SO good and the service was so sweet and friendly. Finally a great place to eat by the vue.
Love this small family run business, the food is always yummy and is made by a team who are genuinely passionate about what they do. Would not hesitate to recommend if you need a meal near the Grafton Centre.
The arepas are just amazing. The portion are very generous. All the toppings that come with arepas are super tasty.
Excellent service and very well served. Really good quality food too.
What a taste explosion excellent Vegetarian options: Incredible vegetarian options Parking: Grafton centre parking excellent
I would recommend this place to everyone. The meat is super tender and tasty, the costumer service is very nice, people working there are nice and professional and the quantity and quality of the food is very good for the price!
I wish we had this place in Norwich. Great, food , great service and atmosphere. Will be visiting again.
Very good service with a good vibe and atmosphere. No beers to drink...just two to select from a menu of twelve. The food is absolutely forgettable and has no real resemblance to Latin American food. Just the names of some of the plates.
What a cool place! Nice ambience, lovely service, yummy food - the tostones are to die for - and good location under the glass roof on a sunny day. Super! Parking: Latina is located in the Grafton centre. The Grafton centre has its own car park.
I enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent but I think there could have been more flavour.
On the first floor of the Grafton, with an airy sunlight feel. Menu was simple, as was drinks menu. Service varied from friendly to very helpful. Empanadas were the star of the day, with the tostonas a little more tex-mex in derivation. A little too carb/meat heavy, but thats more me, perhaps. Soursop juice was really nice.
Just wow...amazing fresh food, a very good portion and so tasteful.
If I could, I d eat here three times a day. Sadly, it s only once every 7 weeks when I m in Cambridge. The food is packed with flavour, served with a smile and is great value. Also GF and Vegan options! Once you find it, you ll keep coming back(like me!). Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free and veggie/vegan options.
The food is absolutely amazing!
The service is super friendly and food Is lovely, authentic. Not expensive if compared to similar places in Cambridge. The only down side is the location, inside Grafton just across the movie theatre. Food
I had a veggie empanada and beef empanada and asked to take away. The staff were friendly, I liked the colourful kitchen and the empanadas were great. Decided to give a review because they included two large pots of sauce, not stingy and totally delicious. Love
Nice little place in grafton. Generous serving sizes!
Ate here spontaneously after seeing a film at The Vue. Restaurant was due to close within the hour but welcoming and attentive service, spotlessly clean and gluten-free food cooked to order. Whole Latin American menu is gluten-free apart from the hot dog and was a pleasant change from traditional English fare or chain restaurants. Catalina the owner is really hospitable and clearly knows how to give customer service at very reasonable rates. Small menu but what they do is good and well presented. Will be back. Dietary restrictions: All menu is gluten-free apart from the hot dog. Parking: The Grafton Centre car park is one minute walk away all level access, so great accessibility. Wheelchair accessibility: Great accessibility.
Quality and quantity, top notch! Always excellent!
Food was good
It is a very convenient place to have lunch before going to the cinema. The food is good, specially the pork. However the service is very slow ans chaotic. They forgot to serve our food and they gave us directly the dessert.
Weve been eating at Bustaurante since they were in the bus. Theyve kept up the quality and more since moving to the Grafton and we always look forward to it.
Comforting food with really lovely hospitality. If you like spice I definitely recommend add some of the red chilli oil to your dish for an added kick
Great food, lovely service!
Waited 30 mins. Given wrong order. Waited 20 more mins. Received wrong order. Poor.
Delicious. Especially for Gluten Free. Get the arepas, so good. Had to order more!
You should definitely try the Arepa here! Great South American food cooked by a lovely couple and served by friendly staff. Awesome exotic selection of fresh juice and desserts to complete the meal. Highly recommended!
So hard to get vegan and gluten free sometimes! We love the empanadas
Amazing food and really lovely staff who were so kind. Took time to tell us about the food, and seemed really happy and enthusiastic. Incredibly generous portions and such high quality at a relatively low price - so worth it!
I tried the Beef Empimadas, nice and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, packed with pulled beef and surprising filling for a parcel of its size. I also ordered some fries which were really tasty, they all came with a range of optional dips. The salsa was very delicious. Very good value for money food, £16 for 2 main courses and 2 hot drinks. Plenty of seating areas with colourful decor and lively Latin music playing in the background all adds to atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Im a bit of newbie to South American food but will definitely come back again and try a few of the highly recommended dishes on my next visit
What a gem! Amazing food and just as amazing service. Will definitely be back x
I enjoyed their arepa and empanada! It is definitely a hidden gem inside The Grafton.
Very tasty alternative for boring English restaurants with plenty gluten free dishes, great juice, huge portions, good prices and lovely, friendly service.
Fantastic, tasty, latino food with big portions and good price. Must try and come back!
Had the arepa, plantain chips, guacamole, empanadas, and salsa. Can recommend all of these! Delicious.
Get a taste of south-american cuisine surrounded by a nice ambient and typically friendly services. Would also recommend to try their juices with tropical flavors, theyre so good and very refreshing. Overall we liked our experience here and definitely well return. Muchas gracias!
Nice place to grab something different for lunch. Got an order of fried banana Tostino with a mix of beef and pork. Very generous portions!
I had the Arepa dish which was mouth watering. You can choose up to two meats and three sauces. The lemonade was very refreshing. Good price for quantity.
Honestly the tastiest food Ive had in forever! I knew I was making happy eating noises (mmms etc) but couldnt help it Lovely staff and DELICIOUS food. I had the vegan Tostones 100% recommend! Theyre now inside the Grafton Centre where the food court is upstairs.
Welcome stop for lunch. Not the typical bland mall food or chain restaurant. Friendly service and really tasty food. Good options for kids would definitely make a trip here just for the food
great place for food. the juices are great too.
Absolutely delicious food! Its a great stop whether you want a snack or a full meal. Still fantastic more than a year on. Try to make sure I get here whenever Im in Cambridge at a meal time. Portions are generous and filling; an arepa bowl really hits well if youre hungry. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Theyre fantastic about dietary needs and swaps and substitutions. Kid-friendliness: Its a good place to go with kids.
We ve had tostones and full loaded hot dog. The food is absolutely amazing and fresh! I highly recommend !
Where s the bus at?
Spectacular munchy, wholesome soul food from Columbia! You must try this beautiful food! Vegetarian options: Options available Dietary restrictions: Happy to cater for dairy free Parking: Multi story in the Grafton Centre Kid-friendliness: Perhaps not, unless theyve got an adventurous palate Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible
Excellent Latina food. Great pit stop while shopping!
Excellent, freshly cooked food to perfection, will go back very soon
Our whole familys favourite place to eat/get takeout. Loyal customers for a few years now and have never been disappointed! YUM
Fabulous. Delicious, HUGE portions, Great Service. Lovely host. And even gave me a doggy bag for my leftovers. Would Recommend to Friends and family xxxxxx
Authentic and delicious. So lucky to have them in Cambridge
Tasty food and great service
Delicious food! So rich in flavour. Ive tried arepas and tostones (veg) -- both were superb.
Omg awesome taste. I do not know how they make it!
Bit disappointing actually. Had this before via FoodStuff and shared a few dishes between 5. Interesting dishes and a bit different. Excited to visit Andy east in. But sitting down to eat the food tonight ordering a meal each, it was all a bit samey, too greasy and empanadas seemed to lack flavour and be mostly potato. Didn t eat it all or even want to take left over empanadas home. Left feeling a bit queasy! We so wanted it to be different to this!
Family owned place upstairs at the grafton. Lovely food and if you like spice like me then you will live this place. Great helpings and reasonable prices.
Great food, friendly service and quick.
Their food was absolutely delicious but when it was busy I wasn t able to get a table and was left waiting for quite some time.
Great food, nice people.
Good food, good pricing, good atmosphere
Great place. Great food
I very much enjoyed my delicious food - I was transported to Colombia.
Now thats what a call food!!! The ultimate Latin food fusion! Ill be back again and again!!
I m not quite sure why people rave about this place so much. Yes, it s a cool concept, but that s about it. The food is overpriced for what it is, there isn t much choice, and honestly the bus itself was messy and lacking in some TLC. It could be much better than it is, they just need to improve the decor inside and offer more choices of food.
Wow I cannot believe how bad the vegan empanada is. I have ordered the vegan empanada feast via Deliveroo. When I saw the empanada I couldnt believe what I was seeing. A big piece of thick and super oily batter. Empanada is supposed to be a wrapped pastry but this one from La Latina Bustaurante is just like the batter on the fish of fish and chips and looks even more oily and much thicker than the batter you see on the fish of fish and chips. I cut open the batter and wow, really unbelievable, the interior of the batter is super small and the vegan food inside the batter looks just like some mashed potatoes with about 2 sunflower-seed-sized pepper bits and the mixture was so unclear I couldnt identify what other ingredients there were inside the mixture. The empanada was about 80% batter and 20% the ingredients in the pocket of the batter. The batter was so thick and oily and looks like it has been deep-fried for super long. This one single vegan empanada feast costed 14.98 pounds including the delivery fee - a completely crime of stealing money off customers! I would say it costed less than 1 pence to make the empanada! People who are worried that they have high level of cholesterol must not eat this empanada: With the thickness and oiliness of the batter and the oiliness of the mixture in the pocket of the batter you can easily get a heart attack by eating this empanada!
It was very, very good. Ive never tried plantain tostones, but they were delish, and all the meat/veg was nicely cooked, finished with plenty of dips. And their cheesecake was a beautiful addition to the meal. I can highly recommend. Ive had takeaway, so havent tried restaurant itself.
Ok !!!
If you like South American food this is the place for you! I have been here a couple of times and I absolute love La Latina. The staff is so friendly and I love their empanadas and dulche de leche, so YUUUM! Its not fancy but thats the whole point, I love the atmosphere and the music. I wouldnt say its cheap just overage Cambridge prices. Highly recommended :) Hasta pronto chicos! :)
Great for delivery.
Truly unique experience. Limited options of food and would really avoid desserts. But overall a nice place to go.
Very unique place with some amazing food
Very good food and great service
A novel place 2 eat - on top of a double decker bus! Food OK. Décor is a bit rough and ready, but very relaxed and informal. A good place to eat if youre passing by. Reasonably good value for money
Great Colombian food, prepared with Colombian passion
Best Latino food in town. Authentic Cuban flavours, very filling portions and the service is always kind. Love this place! Try their veggie tostones. They are fantastic!
Unique place to have a snack. Nice coffee but not much variety of food
Best street food and welcome in Cambridge
Amazing place with great food.
Brilliant food. Will definitely come back.
Great Latin inspired food in an informal atmosphere.
Fantastic restaurant idea with fantastic, homemade tasting, food.
Delicious food. Cozy place. Friendly staff. What else would you need?
Really nice meal, good vfm
Ive been trying to eat here for ages. Finally managed today and it was truly delicious. I cannot wait to go back!!! I had the beef tostones. Lovely. P.s. I forgot to mention its on a double decker bus and its GLUTEN FREE!
Friendly, quirky, fresh food, distinctively different, fun and reminded me of catching the bus to school when I was a kid! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Loved the Colombian tea, too!
A great surprise next to the boring and undelicious Nandos and Pizza Hut. The food is freshly made on the spot and the bus is a cool extra touch to the entire experience!
Fantastic food and lovely friendly people
Tasty food. Highly recommended
Just delicious! Loved the patacones
Nice menu and friendly staff. Location is very interesting :)
Real Colombian taste. This is my place to go whenever I am feeling homesick or just about any time I want something delicious to eat. The music is great, the decor is simple and imaginative.
Excellent food, a nice different restaurant, I will surely come back and come back
Great, fresh Latin street food, friendly welcome, cool Latino music 5stars.
Amazing coffee and very good Colombian arepa for £12
What lovely discovery. Coffee good and range of foods v good
The place is very particular. A brilliant idea in my opinion. I leave you the photo of the restaurant located inside a bus... A BUS. Truly fantastic and excellent food of South American origin. Recommended for a unique experience.
Im not kidding, best bustaurate in the neighbourhood! After this delicious lunch, I am craving for it every day. Go and try this food, amazing! Super sweet owners, who are talented as well. ¡Viva, Latina!
Real Colombian food that you cry for more, best people ever and a nice ride! For a real taste of South America!
Great people, great food :) do yourself a favour and ask for some chili with your food!
Lovely place to have some food. Double decker bus. Nice latino food
Great food and lovely people!
It is an excellent restaurant
Great idea and really good authentic food! Will be going back again soon!!
Very tasty food!
The food and drinks were delicious! 10/10 would reccomend
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable price.
Good flavours! Good experience! Love it!! Easy to park
Grear food!!! Good value e nice experience. The staffs are kindly and Im going to return soon
Fantastic well cooked food with different flavours. Not spicy unless you want to pump up the heat with a sauce so no worries about the kids. Sitting on the top of a double decker bus everyone loved it. Will definitely be back.
Simple, fresh, well made but so tasty! The kitchen is immaculately clean and all food is made fresh in front of you! I recommend everything on the menu! I ve been twice and while I m writing this I wait hungrily for my next fix! The owners and staff are warm and pleasant to speak to, I truly can t recommend this place enough!
Top food
Excellent as usual!
First time we visited was yesterday, it will not be the last. Gluten free and veggie/vegan options, this place is full of passion and flavour. You guys truly are purveyors of the tastiest South American Street food, the hot chilli sauce is the strawberry lemonade was and the food is beyond any emoji. Try it, love it. Cant wait to see you again, also big props to Paulo whos covering whilst his brother is on holiday. You sir are a legend x
Really delicious South American food served from (and in) a double decker bus! Small menu but very tasty and generous portions. Great homemade chilli sauces. Unusual location but best food within the vicinity by quite some distance. Will definitely be returning soon.
Delightful atmosphere and tasty food, a good place to stop for a satisfying lunch
Delicious
The food and music was fantastic and the staff were very friendly.
Great food lovely stuff will be telling all my friendand family
Simple and really tasty. Meat and vegetable mains are equally excellent. Spicy sauce (optional) is really good too. Will be coming back here for sure!
Simple and brilliantly tasty! Perfect balance of sweet, spice and sour. Especially enjoyed chicken and corn bread. Will definitely return back.
I love this place, the food is amazing and the staff are always so friendly.
Great place and staff
Everything was spectacular, the vegan tostones were delicious and the service was very friendly!
Unique selection of South American street food.
Super friendly staff and tasty food
Quirky and fun. Good food.
I enjoyed it but I probably wont be going back. Food is quite pricey and bland, at least the vegetarian options are.
Brilliant! The food is fresh and really good, the bus has amazing atmosphere and the staff are really nice. Payment by card no problem, we will be coming back often.
Great people and delicious food. Eat in or take away.
Well, this was lunch with a difference!! Delicious food, and a warm welcome, with food served on the top deck. Very nice ;)
Unique place for good street food.
The food is really nice. I highly recommend to give it a try. However you leave with the smell of the frying stuck into your clothes.
Really really good arepa and excellent coffee. Possibly some of the juiciest moistest chicken Ive had from street food and the actual arepa itself was perfectly cooked. Nice friendly staff too, in a cute converted bus. A real find!
Delightful. They have three things on the menu, each of which comes in chicken, beef, or veg. Nothing was overly spicy. Everything except the drinks--water, soft drinks, or homemade strawberry lemonade--was reasonably priced. The lemonade is great, but was £2.5 for about 150ml. Great cakes too. Didnt try the coffee. Staff is very nice and the environment is awesome, if youre into the whole eating on a bus thing. But really, the interior is quite pleasant, with soft music to finish the atmosphere. There was about a ten minute wait for the food, but they were pretty busy (4 orders ahead of us) and they brought the food to our table on the second floor of the bus. Easily the best South American food in Cambridge. Kid friendly.
Super interesting place, loved the quirky surroundings. Food was great, we tried both the mains, great taste in both. Staff were great, was lovely speaking to them about the place. Highly recommended!
Some of the best food in Cambrige and such a welcoming family of foodies! Definitely a must try if you enjoy flavourful food !
So friendly and so tasty. Fantastic plantain chips too. There nowhere in cambridge like it. It can be slow when its very busy, but I dont mind because its just as lovely place to hang out!
We loved it, everything was super rich, they are very nice and the site is a cool. We will return!
Amazing food and such friendly owners. Brilliant for litlle tykes as well as grown ups!
Great food delicious! We went three weeks ago and we are coming back today I can not wait!
The atmosphere and concept are both great, plus the staff seemed nice. We had the chicken tostones and chefs special. The food was quite bland and considering its street food, quite expensive at £8.50 for a main dish. We were also disappointed with the wait; it took at least 20 minutes for our food to arrive and there were only about 2/3 other orders ahead of us. Overall, not that impressed.
Dont miss this, its a brilliant concept as the restaurant is a converted double decker bus, you eat upstairs, and the food is AMAZING. So Fresh and so good
Delicious food, definitely will come again
Excellent Colombian snacks, coffee and service... a gem in the middle of the boring parking lot
Amazing food! Absolutely delicious! So fresh and tasty! I love the concept and it made me feel like I was actually in Latin America. Im going again because I cant get over just how great the food is. Staff are amazing and friendly. Highly recommended!
Great food, useful location. Child friendly.
This place is so cool. Such a novel/unique idea. Much better than your boring Starbucks or Costa. The Colombian coffee is excellent. They also serve food (arrepas & empanadas which are kinda like Cornish pasties)
Just had the most amazing coffee and cake here, cant wait to return tomorrow evening to try there food. The couple who run it are just so lovely and warm, they make you feel so welcome, a must for anyone
Lovely food in an intriguing setting with great decor (we enjoyed the coffee bean bags in particular). Slightly on the pricey side but well worth it. Bella!
Just the most amazing cuisine. A real treat for an afternoon lunch. I Reccomend the tostodes.
Absolutely lovely place, food and staff :) loved the quirkiness of eating in a double decker!!
As someone who moved to Cambridge from the US, this is the best spanish/mexican food Ive found so far in England. Plus we sat on the second level of a bus to eat.
Prepare for a treat, The food is very good and full of flavour. My kids love it.
Great food experience, high quality food , authentic Colombian/Venezuelan food in the of Cambridge.
Best food in town, finger licking.
Good food. Dont provide tap water though.
Such a good place! Very tasty food and friendly staff. Highly recommended!!
Must go! Excellent food with generous portions. Very pleasant converted double decker bus environment. Quality coffee is a highlight Will be going back for more
Awesome food with some great vegan options. A little tricky to find if you don t know where to look. Just keep an eye out for the colourful bus
Food alright
Excellent food in a bus! What could be better? Makes an expat happy.
