For over 25 years, Efes Restaurant has stood proud catering for Cambridge. With delicious and excellent tasting dishes to a lovely service, we pride ourselves on excellent customer care. A warm and calming atmosphere, lovely location and excellent staff make us a great restaurant to visit. Hope to see you soon! We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets. We believe that the first step to any delicious meal, are the fresh ingredients used.
A nice family run restaurant, with excellent service. The food was very tasty and not too expensive, plus the red wine was nice at under £25 per bottle. It can get busy so best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Came here for food and it was outstanding. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The service was top notch and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would recommend the mixed grill
Antep and shish kebap were really delicious as well as the liver in the meze plate. The waitress was very attentive and kind. We will definitely visit again.
The food was brilliant, very generous portions, and tastes great. Reception and hospitality were spot on. Traditional and cosy atmosphere. Will definitely go back when visiting Cambridge again.
We had a wonderful experience at this Turkish restaurant – the food was fantastic, especially the savory dishes. We tried their baklava which is disappointing. It was not real Turkish baklava, might be Greek🤪 (just kidding). The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even arranging a table for 8 of us despite us not having a reservation. However, towards the end, we were asked to leave earlier than expected because they said other people were waiting for the table, but we didn’t see anyone waiting outside. Overall, it was a great meal, but the situation at the end was a bit confusing.
We went there without reservation but they manage to serve us. We were 8 people we ordered different mains. Overall we satisfied from mains but salads and drink(we had Ayran) could be better. I had liver as a main and I liked it very much. But we are not happy with baklava which I don’t dare to call that thing as a baklava as you can see in the picture there was no pistachios between its layers. After everything we had Turkish coffee it was delicious. While we are having our coffees waitress told us we need to leave because they have people waiting outside but after we left the table no one was waiting outside. Separate points for foods and drinks Liver: 4.5/5.0 Yogurtlu kebab 3.5/5.0 Ayran 2.0/5.0 Baklava 0.0/5.0 Turkish coffee 5.0/5.0
AMAZING restaurant. We go every single year for my dads birthday and are never let down. The twins who run the restaurant are funny and polite and kind with how they serve, as well as the other staff. The food is outstandingly delicious and for the money it costs is great value. Atmosphere is lively but not too loud and always nice and warm whilst not overwhelming. Always a fun mood. I recommend getting the set menu, depending on your appetite get one each or one between two. Everything is delicious though and cooked fast. Would highly recommend.
I have heard so many good memories about the restaurant and no wonder it still attracts a crowd. The freshly assembled skewers and large pieces of meat!! The shashlik kebab is tender and beautifully grilled. As mom always says, good ingredients only need a dash of salt (and maybe pepper). I’d love to try all the cuts :3 The fried liver is fantastic. Meaty, tender, and flavorful, and not greasy at all. Portion is decent for a liver dish. I will come back for it. The rice is nicely salted. I also appreciate the shredded salad. Simple and refreshing. The service is friendly and very helpful. And the decoration really reminds me of my stay in Efes many years ago (and the table cloth looks very similar to the rug I bought :)
First class, authentic and great value for money. Really glad to have discovered this proper Turkish restaurant. Parking: Expensive and limited parking outside, better off finding another way if possible.
Great, fresh food
Everything is so beautiful
A beautifully authentic Turkish restaurant serving delicious food with a smile!! Service is second to none and their food is *chefs kiss*. I didn t have any cash on me to leave them a tip on our spontaneous visit but I ll be sure to bring double next time! Thank you for a lovely evening!
A Cambridge classic. A Turkish restaurant that has been serving with the same team in the same place for many years and never compromises on taste and quality. This is the only address for Anatolian cuisine with its Mediterranean appetizers, meats and kebabs. It is worth getting a UK visa and coming here again to eat Master Ya ars beyti kebab.
Everything was very nice, especially Ms. Aleyna was very caring. I definitely recommend you to go.
Imambayildi is a hidden gem - 10/10. Authentic atmosphere, friendly staff, and outstanding food. One of the best places in the UK to get closer to Turkish cuisine. P.S. The prices are quite reasonable :)
great restaurant food excellent
I tried hard to be good and eat my food but it was awful its very noisy and the staff seemed to like coming and shouting in my ear from time to time... I really did not enjoyed the bland charred chicken... I think it might be a while before I can eat again!!
The worst Turkish food I ve ever had in a restaurant was here. Although the waiters were friendly, they didn t know how to serve properly. We ordered the set menu, but the salad and appetizers were very small and tasteless, and the sauces were of poor quality. The meat was bland and lacked seasoning. We also waited for the dessert included in the menu, but it never arrived. This is the first time I ve ever left a review for a restaurant because I never expected it to be this bad.
Nice turkish restaurant with authentic cuisine and taste. The owner of the shop is a turkish gentleman who is very generous and welcoming, he also does the kebabs and grill, the lady at the shop is okay . Overall you wouldn t be unhappy if you like turkish food or want to explore. Would recommend a 90%. Thank you
Awful meals. They served rice and baklava that were clearly stale. We ordered the Halep kebab, but it arrived more like a soup, with the food practically drowning in sauce. I was honestly embarrassed to serve this to my guests.
Been there once not bad for Turkish restaurant in uk , will suggest the ones who wants to try turkish food and the atmosphere
As a Turk, it is very valuable to come here and thanks to Aleyna and Dicle, I loved it extra. They are very friendly, very helpful and very caring, they deserve five stars for everything until the end.
Family run business, so attentive, food all cooked fresh traditionally. Whatever time of day youll be looked after. Very reasonably priced, youll be coming back.
Its really delicious
My first time of me & some friend . I m thai . This restaurant s very excellenct place & delicious turkie food. I like its and sure for come again 100%.
Its a very nice place. I had dinner with friends. The meals are delicious. The meat is Halal. Its hard to find halal meat in this area. The place is bright and has nice sitting tables. The service is fast, polite, and clean. I like this place. I plan to visit it again when I visit Cambridge. We had starters, main and dessert.
I have been to Efes a few times and the level of service and quality of food is second to none.
Best Turkish restaurant with friendly staff. The vibe and the food is definitely 10/10.
Delicious food, and really nice and friendly staff members.
We visited with my brother and my wife. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. I would like to thank them for reserving a place for us even though we did not have a reservation. I want you to know that we will definitely go again.
Very nice restaurant, friendly staff and good food
Went for dinner here with my daughter. No reservation which was risky on a Friday night but they were able to fit us in after a short wait (we just went to the pub up the street for a drink in the Champion of the Thames - also worth a visit!). Efes seems the kind of independent restaurant that does the important things well: clean and friendly, with a vibrant atmosphere and good food. Tables are close together but in a packed & lively restaurant our conversation still felt private. I felt confident the food would be good for two reasons: the menu was varied without overextending the kitchen with too many options, and the sight of a chef sitting at an open grill. I wasn t disappointed. I had a liver starter which was both simple and delicious. My daughter very much enjoyed the cheese borek - she was tempted to get it as a main as well! At Turkish restaurants I usually look out for whatever mixed kebab is served with sauce on pieces of pitta. Here it was the yogurtlu (iirc) and it was excellent. Meat was tender, with a dark, tangy sauce, and simple sides of rice and salad. We shared a bottle of Turkish white wine, dry with some stone-fruit flavour, that was a very enjoyable accompaniment to the food. With two courses each and a bottle of wine, our meal came in at about £76 without service which I felt was very good value, and merited a healthy tip. Definitely somewhere I will return to when I m next in Cambridge.
Really good food and service no expert on turkish food but it was delicious and will go again and take friends
Highly commended. Fresh meat and chicken. Our server Dicle was absolutely so friendly and Kind served us well and we received what we asked at an even better quality
Fortunately find! I was at a loss as to where and what to eat, when I came across this place. It looked cosy and inviting from the outside (the weather was miserable outside!) Fortunately there was a table available. For starters I chose the Special Mezze. On arrival I was amazed at the size! This could easily feed 2! But it wasnt just quantity, it also had quality. Very good start. For mains I had the Shashlik Kebab and the meat was lovely and tender. I had a carafe of the red house wine, which was perfectly adequate at the price. Its a shame that some of the Turkish wines are not available by the glass. I would have loved to try some. Service was swift and very friendly.
Food was very bland, friends meat was extemely tough, presentation so so , poor value for money, decor stuck in a time warp, not great confidence with cleanliness
So cultural places food is delicious service so friendly definitely recommend it.
I came with my Italian friends. My friends liked the Turkish food very much. It is really difficult to find a place like this in Cambridge. The food was really nice. Thank you to the entire Efes family.
Harkia wonderfull
Since I ve been here I was really missing my own cuisine. If you really wanna try Turkish cuisine this place is the best that you can try every kind of taste from my own culture.
Best Turkish restaurant I have ever seen in the UK. Cozy atmosphere and generous staff, especially Aleyna was so welcoming and passionate. Food is both cheap and super tasty. We got a set menu and throughly satisfied. 10/10 Highly recommended
The experience was good and the food is so delicious. They are very friendly.
It was a very delicious and wonderful meal, especially the kofta kebab and hummus were fantastic. I definitely recommend it.
Very nice, cozy restaurant with delicious Turkish food. The meat is delicious and tender and the service is great! Aleyna is a sweet and cheerful hostess!
Just the best food and service. Consistently great every time.
Great service, food, staff was awesome!
Brilliant restaurant! Food is always delicious and service is welcoming and friendly. Its a go to!
Very beautifully designed restaurant. Food didn t take long and all started were brought to us immediately. Food had a great taste and wasn t very greatly cooked. The only problem is if your a vegan or vegetarian theres not lots of options. 5 stars.
Fresh, friendly affordable. From start to finish everything about Efes is fantastic. Come here weekly. Everyone loves it here, from the food, staff booze.. Absolute gem in the heart of Cambridge
The last time I dined at Efes was in 2006. I have been away from Cambridge since then. I have visited Efes five times over the last 11 days. Each and every visit has been an excellent and memorable dining experience. Thank you, Efes. We look forward to our next visits to Cambridge and, of course Efes, in the future.
First time here, hopefully not the last. Had a lovely prawn cocktail and a lamb fillet kebab. The waitresses were welcoming. I was surprised to see a restaurant so busy on a Monday evening.
Excellent, classic Turkish food, friendly people, reasonable prices, good opening hours. Central Cambridge but slightly out of the way so pleasantly busy rather than horribly crowded. Now operating for over 30 years so they must be doing something right! Vegetarian options: As with a lot of middle eastern food, theres a lot of grilled meat but also lots of vegetarian food overall. Not many vegetarian mains but many starters so would be easy just to order as many of those as you want.
A Cambridge institute which is always great. The latest time I had an amazing lamb kofte and the manager was so kind as to allow us to get a carafe of a wine they usually sell by the bottle. It gets busy, so always good to book a table by calling. They take card, but good to pay in cash to support a local business.
Very comfortable and nice love it
Even though we called and stated our number, they received a sullen welcome as if to say where did you come from? Unfortunately, they are rude to local guests and polite to foreigners. The mature gentleman serving was very polite and attentive. We were embarrassed by our guest next to us, so we ate quickly and got up. We came with enthusiasm and left unpleasantly.
Great restaurant I ve lived in Cambridge all my life and how didn t I know about this place, fantastic food, service and atmosphere we will definitely be back. Thank you Food : 5/5
Would reccomend booking. A little local treasure of a restaurant. Food great, service with a smile.
If you want genuine quality Turkish food in Cambridge then Efes is the place to go. Food, staff and atmosphere is of the highest quality and never fails to disappoint. Go for the set menu and have a taste of everything. As with many small family business,s who are getting strangled by payment card companies charges, they will never complain if you pay in CASH...Still my preferred payment method anyway and long may it last.
Good food grate service 9 out off 10
I never ate so bad food in my life. The only good thing was the the smily waitresses. I asked chicken shish well done for food it came burned, plus it was very dry. Rice was very dry as well. Not recommend at all. Really disappointed. P.S. This is served full plate, I ate only 1 piece of chicken and 2 pieces of burned peppers. Kid-friendliness: Both waitresses were very friendly with my 4 year old daughter. They did their best to make her happy.
Highly recommended - felt me like I m having dinner in Turkey - same quality and high standart
We had a lovely meal here - welcomed very warmly and service was speedy. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious.
Amazing atmosphere.. Big Chef super cool, fun and food amazing. Highly recommended
We are very pleased, thank you very much
The food is amazing
Consistently excellent food, nice atmosphere and an open kitchen so you can watch the lovely food cooking.
One of the best restaurants to eat good kebabs, with fresh meat cooked with care to be tasted exquisitely... apart from being able to enjoy some good starters with a variety of Humus,Berek,Liva,Tasty cooked with a batter that gives it a special touch... Special meze, one of the house specialties... for vegetarians they have where to choose some exquisite dishes. Directed by A team of waiters and chefs who make the stay and the meal a pleasure and satisfaction... recommended, with good prices and above all with a well-filled stomach... dont miss the opportunity
The best Turkish food around. Good service and good prices. I RECOMMEND Kid-friendliness: Childrens seat, drawings, etc
We ate there on a Sunday night whilst visiting Cambridge. Cant fault anything about this restaurant. The food was top notch and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and will go back next time we are in Cambridge.
Much better than the service in Türkiye
Excellent food and service. Good atmosphere. Recommended
Authentic food.
Thank you.
excellent
After many months of eating chicken nuggets, sausages and fish fingers on repeat, it was so nice to go somewhere with an awesome selection of meaaaaat! There are veggie options here having said that, but being a Turkish restaurant its probably about 60% meat. We went here for a stag dinner and was the first time Ive been, though others in our group had been before. The restaurant is small but cozy with good seating and an open grill where everything is cooked. Its always nice to see how your food being cooked rather than in an invisible kitchen, and smells great. For a starter we all shared a meze platter, which was a whole load of turkish nibbles, all really tasty. I opted for the mixed kebab on others recommendation. Platter of different meats, rice, side of raw shredded veggies, and some sauces. Took me a while to finish, very good portions but not gigantic. By the time we were done with that I was too full for desert, which is rare for me. Went with normal coffee after but Turkish is in offer as well. Price wise its very reasonable for centre of Cambridge. They also do some very good value set menus for £22ish, so for around £20-25 per head in central Cambridge...thats rare now days, even rare for food thats actually good!
I ordered a takeaway from Efes as I fancied some marinated lamb cutlets which comes with turkish rice and salad. They did not offer delivery so I collected from the restaurant. On arriving home I opened the container box, the 4 lamb cutlets were awfully small, they had not been marinated. No flavour at all. I had to rub some seasoning salt to add flavour. Costing between £10-20 I expected much more, marinated delicious cutlets, full of flavor. Very disappointing. I have eaten at Efes restaurant before but sadly the takeaway option did not live up to expectation.
Nice restaurant close to Cambridge city centre. The food was tasty. The kebab was really good.
Nice place to enjoy Turkish dishes in here.
Outstanding in every way, I couldnt recommend this enough.
We are very pleased
One of my familys favourite restaurants in Cambridge! Staff are very attentive, the service is excellent, food wonderful and prices are reasonable. We love it here. Vegetarian options: My daughter enjoys the halloumi when she comes here.
Top Turkish restaurant in the area. Staff friendly and attentive. Food is amazing, would eat there daily if I could lol
The employees are very grumpy. We did not like the service at all. I recommend you to choose different places
Always incredible food and service! I ve taken a few friends here and we all love it.
Good food, great atmosphere, great customer service, value for money, specially Aleyna is a really friendly and helpful staff. Also, I wanted an onion appetizer which they didn t have in the menu but they made it for me specially. Perfect choice for dinner.
Such a great place with amazing food and staff. Aleyna was taking care of our table and she made our night much more special than it was with her fantastic suggestions and customer service!!! They even provided us a food which my girlfriend asked for and wasn t on the menu which was very surprising. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Turkish food in another level!!!
Very good food. Come eat!!!
Very authentic tasty and varied food with great quality and quantity for the price. It is quite unique to have the BBQ near you (but dont worry, you wont smell a thing!). 4 stars to service because whilst they were friendly and helpful, they have started taking part of the empty plates before everyone finished. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian person said the dish was flavourful and not dry (and issue I frequently find). Dietary restrictions: Waitress was aware of nuts in the dishes, but these were not clearly indicated in the menu.
Recently been twice to celebrate birthdays. Hosted our huge table of 30 and we couldn t fault the food& service we will definitely be returning
Got lunch as a group of 7 at around 12.30 on Sunday. The service was great and the staff were super friendly. We had to make some short notice changes to our booking but the staff were very accommodating. We ordered a variety of starters and mains and a bottle of the house wine. The food was great, brought out in a timely manner, we didnt have to wait for long. I personally liked the stuffed vine leaves and the antep kebab. My group liked the falafel, spinach tarator, carrot tarator, chicken efes, yoghurtlu kebab, chicken, seafood and mixed kebabs. We also ordered the baklava and ice cream for dessert and also some apple tea and turkish coffee which we loved. Staff checked in on us frequently to make sure we were okay, and the atmosphere was lovely. Spoke to the chef at the end and he even posed for a picture! Had a lovely time here and would definitely come again in the future.
The lamb kebab was WAY overcooked- dry and hard to eat. Yuck! Not happy that I paid for this.
Used to be best.. Now is ok potion are small. Campared last I visited, tasted just ok, side salad tasted less..
Food was cooked perfectly, served by the lovely Alaina, thank you will definitely come again :)
Ive honestly never met such disrespectful staff before. So unwelcoming, rude. The design of the restaurant is awful. Its so cramped, and you are squished between a deli of raw meats, watching the meat be cooked and a bar. We asked for the meals to be packed and they added completely different meals together in the same packet, rendering it unappetising and inedible. Terrible customer service. I wouldnt go back here even if my life depended on it. Avoid at all costs! Wouldnt wish this experince on my worst enemy. The manager is particularly rude, unaccomodating and very stingy
Accommodated late and given nibbles to tide us over. Open bbq and delicious mixed greill
It is a cosy and bustling Turkish restaurant with a good atmosphere. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Very good service, delicious food, and generous portions.
Friendly staff, and the food was great. Would recommend.
The food and service were excellent as it always is. Thoroughly enjoyable
The staff was very helpful, the food was delicious, everything was very good.
the place is very good
Down to earth restaurant with amazing food + really good prices, especially for Cambridge. Good selection
I had the most delicious meal Ive eaten recently here. Its a fantastic restaurant in every way.
I m a black person and I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to any black or person of colour. I had the worst treatment ever, I love Turkish foods and been to several Turkish restaurants but by far I received the most discriminatory service ever. Paying no attention to my family and I, ignoring us the whole period, thought it was just how they were until I realised everyone was treated nicely except us of course the people of colour!! Very bad experience!
Not the best turkish. Overpriced and not a very friendly staff.
Delicious mezes, friendly staff. 30/04/2024 (update): recently had kebabs here and they were amazing! Definitely best kebab in town and around! I dont need to go to London for good kebab anymore! Food : 5/5
An easy choice if you want to get some nice food, lovely atmosphere, and a relaxed dinner.
Delicious Turkish grill and clean food. Hummus Lentil soup is delicious We ordered three types of delicious grills that come with rice. I wish it was bulgur, the same as Türkiye Fast service, crowded place The price is high
The food was very good, our waiter brother was very naive, but also thank you for the charge, brother.
Restricted menu. Most dishes came in the same sauce. Very limited desserts menu.
The food was very delicious, but what I liked most about it was the atmosphere. It really made me feel like I was in Turkey. Everything was so characteristic, the chairs, sofas, tables. I would totally go back again Food
Amazing service, lovely food. Great place
akh i been sat here waiting 1.5 hours for my food fam it s peak and dem man don t even sell chips
Amazing food
Excellent quality food. Love this place.
It was good
Fantastic food
Cozy place, delicious food, friendly service!
A lovely evening with friends here at Efes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quick service and the food was superb. Overall a fantastic experience and will definitely return. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair friendly
An absolutely lovely and brilliant restaurant with friendly faces from the moment you enter. The food is par to none. Will definitely be coming back. Wheelchair accessibility: The staff will happily make accommodations for accessibility needs.
The restaurant is small and a little cramped, but the food is good. Good authentic Turkish food!
Amazing food and excellent service. A very welcoming atmosphere that made for a wonderful experience overall.
The food was relatively good, but the customer service was appalling. We had not been there for more than 5 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. I replied that I was still deciding on what to eat because there were so many options. He shouted at me and said after all this time, are you still thinking about what to eat? He then left. The restaurant was not full. I went there after a long day at work. I dont appreciate being told off and shouted at. It was uncalled for.
Ordered online for delivery. Efes (in my opinion) is the best Turkish restaurant in Cambridge. Ive eaten at this restaurant for a long time now. Food is always good. Portions for mains are a reasonable size. This particular delivery I chose Adana kebab. This was much spicier than the previous times that Ive ordered it. Meat was nicely cooked, abit too over seasoned/spiced this particular time. However this was just personal opinion/preference. Price has always been fairly expensive especially if youre ordering a delivery and factor in service charges and delivery costs. However youre getting a quality meal compared to alot of places in the city. Would (and always do) recommend Efes.
The best Turkish restaurant in Cambridge
Food was awesome and staff was really friendly Definitely going again! Highly recommend this place Food : 5/5
The best Turkish restaurant around the Cambridge area with a superb quality that has not changed a bit in many years. The service is great and the food is wonderful, Id give them a 6 out of 5. Food
There aren t enough words to do Efe s justice. We re always on the hunt for a good Turkish and this one just surpassed all exceptions. Firstly, there s street parking right outside the restaurant (free after 6:30pm). As soon as we entered we were swiftly greeted by a lovely man and sat. Menus were brought out very quickly and we were asked for a drinks order. We went for the set menu , the food was absolutely incredible. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and it being Cambridge. Cambridge is lucky to have Efes! The food is cooked on an open grill which is a great view! Even though Efe s became full very quickly after opening time, all staff were still attentive and wonderful. What a truly delightful experience. Can t wait to go back and try some more items on the menu
Oh my god this place is so good!!! Girlfriend took me here for my birthday WOW PLS GO HERE OOOOOO MAMA
This place is great. I cant fault them. The food was good. We had the set menu. (I have not tried much if any Turkish food) This was an eye opener
Excellent food
Delicious food, great service and decent value for money!!
Great restaurant, great food, and great service. Thanks for fitting us in
Everything was great, friendly staff, food was exceptional. Catered for 10 of us and the timings etc was perfect. Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian dishes. Parking: Carpark is about 10 min walk or theres paid parking outside
The food was delicious. However, I was talking with my friends, and they came and asked us to leave, although the restaurant was not full. Food
Wow. Ive experienced efes before but it was takeaway. Ive just left after my first dine in experience and it was faultless. Service was impeccable and friendly. Food was exceptional, in particular, the swordfish made me feel like I could of been on a beach somewhere in the Mediterranean. The value for money is unrivaled and within 25 minutes wed had our starters and been served our mains. I could not possibly rate this place any higher. Thanks for such a lovely dining experience and I look forward to coming back soon
Really nice place! It reminds me of our traditional taverns in Greece! The meat was excellent and perfectly cooked! The starters and the desert were equally delicious!
Fantastic!!! Very good place and food...
It is a really good restaurant in Cambridge. The food is good and well served. Real mediterranean food. The waiter was really friendly and that is always a pleasure to find in a restaurant. So I really recommend this place.
First of all, when you enter the place, you are greeted by a nostalgic atmosphere. You will be enchanted by the care and attention of the employees and then the food. It may be a little expensive, but it was delicious, satisfying and a pleasant environment. I would like to thank Elbistan employees for their interest and concern.
Service was absolutely super fast. We came to the restaurant and explained to the staff we don t really have time. They have served food for us really quick. They put us in a priority list and served us first, even to know there were other people who were waiting to be served. I took lamb liver. I can t say I was really excited, but the food was delicious. I am sure all the rest food is even better. Highly recommend. Parking: We were there on Saturday. There were only 1 free parking space near the restaurant. As we haven t been there before I am not sure if there is any other car parks. Wheelchair accessibility: I would say there are not a lot space for a wheelchair, but I am sure the staff would be really helpful.
Food and service impeccable. Literally nothing bad to say about this place. Great atmosphere and waiters are lovely. Kofte kebab and baklava was amazing! Would definitely go back. Food
We during the daytime for a lunch meal, and I can safely say we were not disappointed the service was good the food was excellent and we all left very full. We had starters, mains and pudding, and all of them were very generous portions. For the starter we had two, one persons Meze and an extra portion of Liver and Borek. Mains were three portions of lamb cutlets and one portion on Kofta. Pudding were baklarvi and coffees. All of the food was very good quality and the lamb cutlets were of a superb quality. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody it is not all that cheap £35 a person including drinks but you get what you pay for these days!.
The place is authentically designed. The staff was very helpful, caring and polite, we really felt like at home. For food, we ordered different kebab types and an appetizer plate, it was very good. Although the kebab is not as good as in Turkey, I think it is quite successful. I wholeheartedly recommend it to those who want to experience Turkish cuisine.
It was really tasty there, go there. Wish you a good appetite LG Susanne
Good was really nice. Im Greek so love meat done over coals, and it was gorgeous. We had 5 set menus and they combined them in to dishes for the table, something Im used to with a meze. The service was pretty decent, nothing really to complain about there. The only letdown was that is felt quite cramped when it was full (good sign of the quality of food) Parking: Its in an area notoriously difficult and expensive to park
The best food Ive eaten in the uk. Not kidding!
Terrible meals. They serve stale rice and baklava. We ordered Halep kebab but it was like Halep soup. The food was floating in sauce. Im embarrassed for my guests.
Not good especially baklava and yogurt kebab.. rice wasn t fresh..
Weve been here loads.Turkish restaurant run by Turkish people!!.Very friendly speedy service excellent fresh humus and kebabs.
My wife and I were visiting for the day in Cambridge. We came across this place randomly and suited to our needs of halal.menu. We was placed near the window seat and had some starters of Humous, Breads, and a courgette tomatoe dish. It was ok, Humble cooked food. It was a good experience overall, and the staff were very friendly and reasonably prompt to help. Worth a visit to experince it. Dietary restrictions: Halal
Found this little gem on a visit to Cambridge. Absolutely delicious food, great service and welcoming atmosphere. Good to be able to see the food being cooked fresh. This will be our lunch venue every time we visit in future.
Food good service brilliant
The best place in Cambridge. Delicious kebab and desert. Baklava is great. I suggesst to all. Thanks to EFES.
Excellent , I went to this place with my other Algerians friends , the food was incredibly delicious , the service was 10/10 . I highly recommend !
Food
Thank you to the hands of master Ya ar. Its a very nice restaurant. Delicious. The employees are polite and very respectful. I can recommend it to everyone with peace of mind.
Nice kebab not many starters I would order.
Superb absolutely superb food. Service very good indeed. Atmosphere superb. Staff fabulously good and very friendly. All food cooked fresh on a charcoal grill. Loved it. Cant wait to come back. Wheelchair accessibility: On the flat wheel chair friend
Delicious food and brilliant service - we were in the King Street Run pub next door and they even brought it in for us to eat whilst watching the rugby! Would advise ordering pittas with the veggie platter
Exceptional service, great atmosphere and delicious food. We always get the set menu.
Good & friendly service
Great staff really made us welcome. Food excellent.
Wonderful food cooked before your eyes in a cosy and well-decorated Ottoman themed restaurant. Attentive and kind waiter and good prices and quality. Absolutely nothing negative to comment on
Excellent restaurant kebabs, legendary, caring and hospitable people, they hosted us very well, thank you for everything.
Simply fantastic! Faultless from start to finish, we absolutely loved it. The staff are so friendly and warm, and the place itself is buzzy, cosy and unpretentious. Delicious chargrilled food, well priced. Very generous portions too. We were weekend visitors to Cambridge and dont live locally, otherwise we would definitely go there all the time. Genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences weve had anywhere. Brilliant!
Good quality food and good service.
Been coming here for 25 years never been disappointed
Fantastic place. Lovely food. Fantastic service.
Great food and service. Weve been coming here for the last 20 years, and it has always been great food. Would highly recommend. Book early
Lovely fresh food, attentive, efficient staff. Reasonably priced for central Cambridge. It is a very compact restaurant but this added to the atmosphere.
Lovely Turkish restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. I had the Hummus to start and the spicy Adena kebab for main. Both were excellent. Even the rice with the kebab was impressive. Will definitely be returning next time I am in Cambridge.
You must visit for original food!
Delicious food, soooo big portions for the money and pleasant unobtrusive staff. I recommend)
Lovely authentic food. Great service and delicious
