Beach Fire Brewing Company in Campbell River

Order a Reuben burger with potatoes. I sent the potatoes back because they were ice cold. The burger was barely warm. The cheese had not melted. The bun was not toasted it was a big sloppy mess that I had to eat with a knife and fork. I will not be eating there anymore.

Very nice bar. But service a bit urgent. The amazing and delicious artichoke and salmon dip! Be careful with very spicy side potatoes.

Came up from Victoria and looked for a nice place for dinner and a pint. Their website said open until 7pm Sunday, so perfect! Arrived at 5pm. Was told they were just closing. I was shocked. I pointed out the hours on their website and got the shoulder shrug. Asked where I could find their beer locally. Was told a tap room down the road. Great! Went there- nope. So, hours wrong and dont know where their own beer is sold. In a small market there are two big failures! Buck up. You need to do better!!!

One of our fav breweries. Always stop when we come to town. Definitely recommend. Also the tuna bites are to die for.

Sat there for an afternoon with variety of beers. Very friendly Canadian service ( are they all lovely as I m yet to meet a ruder server). Calamari was sublime it was wonderful and rest was nice.

Worth the stop! We were driving through on our way to Port McNeil and needed some lunch. Needed to find a dog friendly place. This was great!- food was delicious and clearly not an after thought like in some breweries. The Newton burger was delicious- especially the fig/stout sauce! Husband also really enjoyed the halibut. The duck fat potatoes were very tasty! Good beer and cider too. Quick service, portion size was spot on, plenty of free parking and a good sized patio for our pooch (with water available for him). Thank you! Will come again if/when we re passing through!

Pet friendly patio, delicious food, and pretty darn good beer. We had the Halibut and potatoes, best fish and chips I ve ever had, deep fried pickles(yum) and the Tuna bites( my favourite dish we had). Definitely check this place out, the value was really good Food

I have been a regular for awhile now, Sad to see the service has gone down hill, the old servers were so attentive and always on the ball. The new ones don t even ask you if you need another drink or pick up your plates.

I have been a frequent for a few years now and have noticed the service decline rapidly.. It took just about 20min for a server to acknowledge we were there and offer to take our order and after she took our order she forgot one of our beers. I miss the older servers, not sure where you are but please come back!

Was denied more than 2 beers draft. No alcohol before. We came t have a burger and listen to live music. Hordourve before, dinner after. No behavior, have worked 8 years in the business. Service good, exclaimed we would be m mostly drinking and maybe after din cocktails upon entry Not too much for an establishment anywhere. We get together one time per year. What was the deal! Never expected such a push out. Will report it on the blog. DEAN JORGENSON... THX. Goodnight. After 43 minutes of service. Disappointed for visitors of our city.

Had a wonderful experience here. The atmosphere was really good with outdoor seating options as well. We ordered the blonde ale and crab apple cider & the pear mozza flatbread with chicken. The food & drinks were delicious. Definitely going to visit again ! :)

Good atmosphere, awesome staff!

Not sure if we just hit a bad night here. There were no lagers, I feel a brewery should have atleast one. Burgers took over an hour to come out. They were thin and burnt, with mostly a clump of lettuce. We should have sent them back, especially for the price. Appies were ok but had the same coating and flavour Chicken and calamari. Nachos only served on certain nights. Serving staff was nice though. Also had a nice layout and atmosphere. Hopefully they can step it up. I wish them well. Thanks

Had an amazing sour beer called Flower Power! Great food and atmosphere and lovely servers.

We had to serve ourselves from ordering @ the bar to getting a glass of water no ice in sight, the only time we saw an employee was when she slapped our food on the table- no one even asked us how it was, never did find even the most basic salt & pepper. We certainly needed it for the bland burgers . The calamari was cooked in old oil but they did try to compensate for that by adding copious amounts of hot sauce. Thank goodness for the deep fried Pickles that were at least edible....good reminder that there is always good food at home.

We stopped in for an early dinner, having just moved to town. Our server, who identified herself as one of the brewers, made us feel really welcome, and helped us choose from a big list of non-alcoholic options (incl. kombucha on tap and several 0% IPAs). The food was fantastic -- the best pub food Ive had in Campbell River so far -- and the passionfruit kombucha was so good we ordered a second round :-). My mate had the cheeseburger and I had the Buddha Bowl with chicken, and wed recommend either. Well be back, for sure -- thanks for making us feel so welcome!

#195 on my world brewery tour! The ESB was superb. Not many brewers will take on the complexity of an ESB! Quinton nailed it. No wonder it got the gold medal. The beach fire burger was also fantastic!

Good fresh food but not my taste per se. Great beer uber friendly staff. Crowded, slow to seat and the decor/ furniture could use a refresh. Music was way to loud to have a conversation.. a little irritating on that note. Food was served fast considering how busy they were. Dessert was heading toward stale but had been an excellent cake. Parking: Daughter brought her small dog for patio seating they had water for him. Lovely for summer nibbles when travelling with a pet.

Little confusion around who was serving is at first but after that, service was great. Good atmosphere. Very kid friendly with board games to play while we visited. Quiet and easy to socialize. Been here numerous times and nearly always very satisfied. We might have hit them right at shift change which is no problem i6f theres. Definitely worth the visit.

We stopped in at Beachfire as a suggestion from Google on a 40th birthday weekend celebration. The staff were attentive, gracious, generous, and prompt. Especially enjoyed the house brewed E.S.B. in our flights. Food was a hit with myself & my companion. Thanks again for hosting us on an especially chilly afternoon as local Vancouver Island staycationers. *The small batch dill pickle beer is deadly! Cheers, Red.

Ive never personally been to this business, but its wholly unfair that theyre getting 1 star reviews because some FB keyboard warriors are upset about an email posted by a terminated employee. Dont let those reviews stop you from giving them a try! Ill certainly be stopping by when Im up that way!

My personal favorite brewery on the island, two Nitro taps. Several different beer to choose from, great food. Pleasant staff and great ambience for a tasting room. Not only do I love their beer, but I wear their clothes too

Beachfire Brewing I have to say goes above and beyond. The staff are always amazing, atmosphere cozy, the food delicious and fresh.They make their patrons feel like family. Beachfire was my chosen place to visit for my craft beer. I recently relocated from Campbell River, but always make a point to stop in whenever I am in the area. Check them out when you are in Campbell River next, they are also pet friendly on the patio if you are traveling with pets.

Disgusting place. My experience was ruined by one of the managers, I think his name was Darrin? He was constantly rude, picked his nose and flicked it into someones drink, was abusing his employees and smelled horrible.

In response to my negative review regarding Beach Fire Brewing Company, they chose to level accusations against me claiming it was not legitimate and a part of some wild conspiracy theory targeting their company. An outlandish claim to make and indicative of insecurity by whoever it is that manages their page. They, with no proof, claim I was never a customer. How would they know that? (It appears as if they now deleted their response)

The people Beach Fire treat us like family. The beer is always amazing along with the delicious food. We have loved our weekly small batch every Tuesday for the last six years.

In the town of Campbell River it is not easy, after a certain hour, to find a place to eat or drink, especially a characteristic place. This place, six minutes away from the Marina on foot, is a good compromise. A pub with communal tables, with two jovial innkeepers and a small but good kitchen. The kitchen closes at eight in the evening and the restaurant at nine. But if you are on time, the weather in there is pleasant. Outside the venue it would still be a desert. Great beers. The one that gives the place its name is particular, the Beach Fire produced in Campbell River.

Listen they got great beer and 2 out of 3 times Ive gone have been good, but my latest visit was extremely disappointing. I recommended it to the group of 4 I was with and felt slightly embarrassed afterwards. Once again Beer is great! BUT the service was AWFUL, at the end the four of us wished wed either tipped less or not at all. The server wouldnt even look us in the eyes and seemed to barely pay attention to us. The real kicker was side of potatoes that come with the burger instead of fries. We all joked there must be a potato shortage in CR as we each got a measly 3-5 mini potatoes with our burger. And the price did not reflect the portion. Hopefully its a better experience next time

Excellent beer-we had the high tide and the small batch (ginger blonde ale). Food was delicious- we had the burger and the chicken both with salads. We were warned they were short staffed but our beer and food was delivered promptly - great staff. Nice room with outdoor seating too.

I don t often leave Alberta, but when I do, I visit Beach Fire Brewery and It brings me home to the good old days with my friends drinking at early hours in the morning in a field in front of our house. Great times, music, laughs and beers flow every second here. Love you all, Juddy

Great local brewery with a changing small batch on a Tuesday and lovely food. Service is good and they have a pretty varied selection of beer. The nitro addition to a few beers is fantastic and not seen in many places, they even have a selection of gluten free beer. Baby friendly with a good baby change on site

Went for dinner & drinks on a Friday night. Service was terrible. Out of 4 drink orders one was wrong, the other came in a dirty glass. Food was extremely slow (more than an hour after ordering) server didnt come by to check on food. One meal was burnt, the other was smothered in Chilli oil and the menu didnt describe it as such. Servers dropped full plates of food right beside us twice. You have to sit on these footstools, quiet low and uncomfortable, music is too loud to be able to talk.

Super cool place, amazing burger and potato bites! Had a flight and a pint, all 5 beers I tried were great. They had a love act playing and she was fantastic. All around great place.

Came here in 2022 and had a great time. Came back in 2023 and was a disappointment. Beer is good, food and vibe is good but service is really bad. The owner reached out to me immediately and apologized and assured me he would handle it. I decided to go back a month later and wow! The service, food and beer were all incredible. If youre passing through or a resident, you gotta go to beach fire brewing;) oh! And the potatoes cooked in duck fat are the best Ive ever had

Inviting atmosphere and fun vibe. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told about their beer selection. Our server was super friendly and I even got a hairdresser referral from her Beers were good. Didn t have food but if did look good.

Great little brewery in Campbell River. Tasty brews, big fan of the stout. Food was delish! Very fresh ingredients. Clearly made from scratch and with love! This place is also very clearly run by people who care- the staff were kind and informative and obviously love what they do. Must try!

The beer was good! Unfortunately the wait for food was far to long - 1.25 HOURS - we just couldnt wait any longer. The owners attitude was negative, so much that it made us feel as though it was our fault. We recommend you find another brewery.

Nice beer.. great food. Their beer menu has something for everyone and was wonderful but the food!!! Everything that came out looked great. We both had the beet salad and we shared a dessert. The beet salad was delicious and refreshing. The rhubarb crisp was generous and so yummy! If you havent tried this place, you need to. The service was super friendly and efficient. All boxes are ticked here. 5 stars for sure.

Service is terrible. Ordered food and watched them have a water fight while not really interested in serving anyone. Beer is decent but take it to go!

We came in for some food and beer, compared to the website menu, we were disappointed. We got a browser to go, sadly, the person behind the bar seemed less than impressed to be working and treated us as an annoyance.

The Spruce Ale is a shining example of how to do it right. Its a style(?) (flavor maybe) youll try few other places. Not too aromatic, just earthy enough. Truly a superb beer. The apricot sour was excellent too but it may have tasted that way because it was somewhere north of 30° and it was all kinds of refreshing. Food is great too. Get the tuna stack, this is the coast after all.

This is a great visit for anyone who likes fabulous quality beer and food. The beer is brewed on the premises and all food is freshly prepared. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is the best in Campbell River. Excellent service and atmosphere! Was able to bring our dog and sit on the back patio where we sat in the shade. All of the servers were so wonderful to us and also so friendly towards our dog which we truly appreciate. They gave our dog a water dish with ice cubes in it on the hot summer day which was perfect! We will definitely be back!

What! No IPA... they made up for it in a great backyard patio, super Staffan a very nice Pale Ale for me and Blonde Ale for my wife.

Lynn was an outstanding server in every way! All of the ladies working were fun and friendly and absolutely rocked a busy evening. Highly recommend this spot for the great service, good food, and yummy brews. Cheers!

We were there today. My wife and I both had a beer and the beer was very good but no one came back to take a food order so unfortunately we didnt get to try the food. The place wasnt even busy. Pretty disappointed with the service. We ended up going to Sessions Taphouse for some killer nachos and some more beer. 5 out of 5 for Sessions Taphouse!

My absolute favourite brewery on the island. This place has such a fun, friendly environment, especially with Live Music playing! I live exactly in the middle between Campbell River and Courteney, so I have twice as many options as most, but Ill still choose Beachfire if Im looking for a great beer with even greater service. Additionally, their kitchen serves an exceptional menu. I absolute recommend trying their Korean Cauliflower.

The kombucha was amazing.. filled a growler to take home. Trish rocks there as well :)
