This has to be the nicest Serious Coffee on the island. What a lovely location! Very comfortable, and the art was phenomenal. Ill be back every time Im up this way.

If you re here for an espresso you ll likely be disappointed. Tastes burned and has no body or crema. There s so much more they could achieve with the equipment they have there

Pretty negative experience for my first time visiting serious coffee, it s a bit cutesy but nice lots of old people taking up most of the tables. 2 of the three staff appeared to be very inexperienced, which normally would be fine but this was just a train wreck. bit of a line up we read the great reviews thought it would be worth the wait. We ordered a medium iced oat latte 1/2 ice and an espresso over ice with heavy cream. bill came $16 for two drinks. Seemed a little steep, We inquired as to why the bill was higher than expected. the most qualified person came out to offer an explanation about having to charge us for a second latte but also extra for the cream. I was still confused. But the line was growing we just went with it. The iced late came as a large with a couple ice cubes I asked if she would remake it as a medium with some more ice also the large size was a bit bit ridiculous for a latte. She seemed confused I tried to explain to her what I think had happened The staff member was friendly and remade it as a medium. It was a honest mistake but the ESPRESSO WAS UNDRINKABLE it was so unbearable bitter. We tried choking down a few sips and just gave up and poured them out in the parking lot, I can t believe espresso could taste that awful.

Serious coffee!!! SERIOUSLY AWFULLY!!! this place made us the most overpriced, worst tasting iced espresso we have ever tasted. Undrinkable!!! two sips and we poured our cups out in the parking lot. I don t know if they cleaned the machine and didn t flush the chemicals or if it s garbage beans but Gas station coffee would be considered gourmet compared to the bio-diesel they serve here. By comparison I went to the pricey tourist destination quadra island this afternoon and had an amazing barista made latte at aroma cafe that only cost $5. Not the $16 they charge for garbage at serious coffee Maybe change the name to COMICALLY COFFEE

Cashier did not check for availability of food ordered. We got 1 of 3 of our orders, then after a 10 minute wait they asked what we were waiting for. Told them 2 sausage rolls and we were told they only had one. We could get a refund or order something else. Took the refund. They did apologize.

If you like eating in strip plazas and being ignored, go to this place. Seriously why higher two teenagers to run a whole coffee shop? What happens when it gets busy? The drive-thru took priority over the people standing directly in front of the staff. Poor kids had no idea what to do

I have been a Serious Coffee drinker for years. I had wonderful Lattes at the Serious Coffee shops on Cook and then Douglas Street in Victoria as well as the Serious Coffee on the Malahat. I often talked to the original owner of Serious Coffee. I have also in the past worked in a Cafe and will travel long distances for a good cup when not making my own. I have stopped at the Campbell River Serious Coffee a few times - lovely atmosphere, clean washrooms, friendly staff. Unfortunately I have yet to get a good coffee there. Yesterday I tried again, as well as tried to get two family members (Tim Hortons fans) to try a good coffee. I should have taken them further down island to a better spot and to a business that takes the time to spend time teaching their staff how to prepare a good coffee. I paid for coffee that I was unable to drink. I am well aware that it is not a simple matter of heating milk.... We were headed to Comox shopping and I gave a serious sigh as I drank a coffee (in Milanos) there. My family members no longer trust my judgement, and didnt get another coffee...

The coffee is super watered down. It was not serious coffee to me. I tried the lumberjack wrap which is a real misnomer. The small size was shocking enough that I seriously considered driving back to return it. Wouldn t feed any lumberjack I know. It did taste pretty good and the woman in the drive thru was nice.

3 of us Showed up yesterday at 5:35pm November 19/23 , after a long day of work wanting a few nice espresso s and maybe some treats. The hours on Google say they re open till 6:00pm but they were closed, lights out ! Booooooo Unfortunately Tim Hortons a minute away was open. Better than nothing I guess

The staff was rude. We came in for dine in before close and had asked for a table to be wiped down for us, which they did. However, immediately after we sat down, they came and told us we could not stay. It was deeply disappointing as we would not have ordered had we known the store was closing. Eggnog lattes are mid tier, gingersnaps are good.

Great spot! Ordered a large hot chocolate and then accidentally knocked it over, making a huge mess of the table and floor. The gals working ran out with cloths and a mop and were super good about my accident and made me a new drink. Super appreciate the staff! The hot chocolate with whipped cream was delish!

First time going to this location Ordered a caramel macchiato, didnt find it to be very flavorful , tasted bitter presentation was spot on but for nearly $6 I dont find myself going there again for that particular drink. But the upside is they are local an sell their own coffee to take home so thats an added bonus 4/5

It was the worst experience I have ever had at a coffee shop. 1. Overcharged and server agreed but refused to refund the difference. Left still overcharged but not worth the agreement. 2. I was only one in the cafe and over 10 minute wait. 3. Served drive-thru first even though I ordered 1st. 4. No apology 5. When server realized unimpressed he screamed in the most condescending voice have a nice day! So loud and very condescending. 6. Coffee was watery af. 7. Nothing was okay with experience.

Nice place. The ladies behind the counter were quick and polite. The coffee and muffins were also good. The kicker was that we needed wifi to log onto the university registration page. I called the previous day to ask, and they young fella I spoke with was extremely helpful and generous with his information. Because of that alone, we went to Serious Coffee.

Service was good, coffee was very tasty and fresh, albeit fairly expensive. They offer a menu much expanded from coffee shops of the past. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Atmosphere is congenial, the staff are courteous. Certainly the premiere coffee location in Campbell River.

Excellent coffee with outlets all over the island. Nice change from the commercial spots. Make sure you try the triple espresso shot if you need a delicious pick me up.

Nice little coffee shop. I actually don t like coffee so I tried a smoothie and it was pretty good. The rest of the family said this place has the best coffee in town so I ll take their word for it. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I d come back again if I lived in town.

Best Serious Coffee on Vancouver Island. The young Barista who made my latte for me could have worked anywhere as a barista in some of the best coffee shops. best latte Ive ever had on this island. I didnt catch her name wish I did they should put her in charge of training every other Barista they have I was there at 1 pm on March 3rd. I drink at serious coffees all over the place and this was by far the best.

Just popped into Serious now that it has re-opened. It was awesome before but the construction has really updated the interior. Everything always tastes great and the baristas/servers are always excellent. Top notch place to stop!

Under brand new local ownership. It is very stylishly and beautiful. They have some new drinks that I have never heard of before and I am very interested in trying. They have a good selection of organic items. The staff is new so be sure to give yourself and them a few extra minutes because they are still learning. They also have a drive thru.

Ive been working on my final protect for my Masters, and Serious Coffee has provided me with an excellent atmosphere to research and write. The food is great, drinks are better, and its chill enough that I can focus.

NEW Owner is awesome. This place has really improved. Love my Breva Latte in the huge real cup. If you havent been in a while give it a try, its much improved. Remember the drive through!!! Forget the other franchise from Seattle and support the franchise from Vancouver Island. Wayyyy better coffee that tastes like coffee. TIME TO SWITCH! AND.. they carry Coffee News. What do you know? The Seattle franchise does not. Dont you think it is very strange for a coffee shop franchise not to carry the number one franchise publication in the world? Called COFFEE News after all. It goes to show the big wigs in big cities are out of touch. Thanks to local owners of cafes and restaurants who know and care.

Place was clean and coffee, hot chocolates, and food was good. Liked that washroom had a change table.

I ordered an iced tea, took 25 minutes and I had to remind them twice that I was waiting. Finally got it, and it was the wrong tea. A further 7 minutes to get a replacement. Not the first time I have had poor service there.

Decaf coffee was good also had lemon fog tea also good .Sugar free cookie were really dry.

Edit: Went back a second time. Much improved. Good service this time. Star rating raised from 2 to 4. Will visit again. Original review below. Service is lacking. If there is no drip coffee available, the least they could do is bring the cup out when it is. This is particularly the case when the place isnt busy and I pay a 2 dollar tip on an 11 dollar order for two coffees and a cookie. We felt as if we were interrupting the at-work social lives of the employees, one of whom was slurping a fresh latte, made while I sat waiting for mine. I didnt go to Tim Hortons.... or did I?! Maybe I should have and next time I will.

The staff really know what they are doing. Friendly and always smiling. Itd a must stop every time I am in town. Great coffee too.
