Korean influenced dinner in Campbell River! 'Zannchi' means 'Feast' in Korean. We would like to serve Great food with our great passion! New Brunch Menu is ready for trial!
Best Bi Bim Bap in Campbell River by far! A ton of veggies, delicious spicy kimchi, and tender beef. Perfect for a rainy day. I’ve been here 5 times and will return.
We recently moved to Campbell Rive on Sept 1st and my sister ordered food for all of us working unloading the truck. The food was absolutely delicious! It was a lot of things I'd never had...the homemade dumplings were huge and flavourful and the glass noodle dish was so yummy. There was a savoury chicken dish and spicy scrumptious beef dish. Plus creamy delicious cheesecakes...a variety, plus some refreshing flavoured drinks. It was just what we needed! Everyone had so much more energy to finish the job and the drinks were so refreshing as it was such a hot day. I think the owner is the one that delivered it all and he was very friendly and polite. We'll definitely be going here again soon!
Wow. I wish I lived closer to this gem. I was blown away by the flavours, textures, and visual appeal. What a lucky town to host this fine establishment. I’d add photos but the food and drink disappeared far too quickly.
Food is a good 4.5 but I find it difficult to give it 5 stars. The price is good and for a place like Campbell river, this place is great if you are craving Korean or Eastern Asian food. There’s lots of variety in choices and the atmosphere looks great.
Took our family from Vancouver here after swimming at Campbell Lake. Amazing home cooked high quality food and best service! Bubble tea here is great too and very big cups 😄
Only one person who is working, so things can take awhile? Notice that Skip The Dishes came in to pick up , so food must be good. Only had a latte coffee and bubble tea. 15 $ for both.
This place is always so good! The food is fresh and hot and flavourful. Also love the new drunk menu. I got a real fruit mango and pineapple smoothie with coconut jelly and fried pork mandus. Both so good and the people who run it are so friendly ☺️
Simply amazing and authentic food. It was worth it to come from Ottawa and eat here. Twice. Kimchi is simply the best in my life. We had Korean Army Stew: one cheese & spam, second tofu & mushrooms. We had no room for cheesecakes but took it to go for breakfast and it was amazing too - one rose flowers second passion fruit. The next day we ate again cheese & spam stew and dumplings (they tasted the right spices and very juicy). The plum tea was just great. And cheesecakes again for the breakfast. This owner definitely knows what he's doing.
Food was good, service was very slow but the worst part of the experience was listening to the owner berate his employee (cook) with every word he spoke to him ... meanwhile the cook actually did a great job. We wont be back on account of that toxic atmosphere.
On our way back from Port Hardy to Nanaimo, and found this spot. Delicious foods, great customer service and friendly atmosphere.
Good food for good price
Excellent food but more of a take out restaurant. Chef went out of his way to prepare extra dish.
Ive never been In person, but I have had it delivered multiple times. Its hands down some of the best food you can get in delivery in Campbell river. 10/10 perfect. And customer service fantastic.
We pulled in unexpectedly on our way home to comox from a hike. We were just going to grab a coffee but when we saw the menu we were pleasantly surprised especially when we saw the small pamphlet selling Korean take out with the most delicious looking menu! The food did not disappoint from the Korean bowls that were not overpowered spicy sauce and were perfectly balanced flavours and very fresh ingredients. The cheese cake was to die for and the plum tea was so refreshing and unique for me. As I was eating the food, I was too curious to know the story behind the man who prepared it because I knew there was something special there. Jaegseun (Jackson) Yoo told me that his grandfather had escaped northern Korea during the war and that his family had to use Korean cuisine as their only means to survive and make a living in China! I didn t get a chance to ask much more about his story because he was getting busy and was working the place alone but I will definitely be back to try some of the other delicious looking items in the menu! I hope that Jaegseun has much success in Campbell river and I d love to see him up his business with some more signage to let people know he sells bubble tea and Korean cuisine and maybe a chance to renovate to make the dine in experience even more cozy with some unique and personalized style and character that would bring the whole place together in the most artful way! Vegetarian options: Absolutely delicious and full of subtle yet fresh and rich flavour
Oh my goodness! Yum! My new favourite take out. Beautiful flavours!! Fresh ingredients. We are hooked. Thank you for such amazing food.
Eaten here several times now since they have opened. The dumplings are incredible, and the food has amazing flavours. I would highly recommend.
I ve gone here twice and it s a staple now. The food is genuinely so good. Not just Campbell River good, but like actually so good. I ve tried their Korean army soup and Bibimbap, as well as their Veggie Jeon and their glass noodles. Everything was so yummy and authentic. They always have been insanely fast with preparing the food and the portions are huge. Both times I ve ordered the owner has thrown in a little freebie which is so sweet! His kimchi is amazing, I just wish you could order that on its own! Id eat pounds of that stuff, it s soooo good. Highly recommend!!!
Everything was delicious. I will be going back for dinner again soon. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Amazing
What happened! Was so excited to try an exciting and new Korean place (which was so desperately needed) in Campbell river! My partner and I started by ordering the steamed mandu, caramelized kimchi + beef bibimbap and the plum Korean iced tea. I appreciate the three complimentary appetizers, they were tasty.( Always my favourite part of Korean dining.) We received our drink at the same time as our food (about 20 minutes after ordering) and it was the incorrect flavour, that s forgivable. I understand we all make mistakes. But I was shocked when the steamed mandu was placed in front of me. A small little pulsating larvae was laying on top! like it had fallen from somewhere. I have an intense fear of bugs and immediately had to have my partner remove the plate and take it to the manager. He started by saying no? And then asked if he could remake our food but at this point I was white in the face. I couldn t even think about eating anything. (I have been kicking myself in the pants for not taking a photo, but it was not the first thing on my mind) I will not be going back until hygiene improves or until these problems are addressed. I am horrified and disappointed. Really hope I can come back when things improve.
Absolutely stunning Korean food! Concise menu executed perfectly, tteokbokki or sundubu would be a welcome addition to the comfort menu offered here. After trying most of menu, the food is consistent, clean and delicious. If you have never had army base stew I can t pick a better place to start!
Zannchi is my go to place to get cozy, delicious food. Each item on the menu is packed with flavor and expertly crafted. My wife and I get the food regularly whether its delivery or sit in - it is of a consistently high standard. Highlights on the menu are the Mandu dumplings, the various rice bowls and if you have the time I highly recommend getting the Korean BBQ- the pork K-BBQ is amazing. The newly added Tteok-bokki is an awesome addition and perfect comfort food! Thought I would give an updated review as I first tried Zannchi during its initial roll out and the menu has expanded so much since then.
I love their Tteokbokki and their chicken mayo staff is good as well. Will surely Come back
Awesome, the best Korean restaurant in Campbell River! It s a tourist check-in place, you won t regret it when you come.
Takeout Food is great but wondering why Japchi came without noodles?
We ordered takeout and were quoted 30 minutes, but we still had to wait 20 minutes after we arrived. I hope they get their wait times down as they get more established, but I understand it was Saturday night and busy! The veggie jeon was so good, like a Korean fried veggie hashbrown it was delicious. My partner had the soy chicken and lettuce rice bowl and was underwhelmed. Maybe 6/10 but the taste was good. The fried mandu dumpling was so overwhelmingly green onioned, I wasnt a huge fan, but it was still fine. The mushroom and tofu bowl was also quite good. I got regular spicy level and it was very spicy, as to be expected.
I like Korean food and I like this place, good bulgogi. Did you know they also make cheese cake? I will dine here again.
Amazing food!
Amazing food.
Located in the same shop as Nesbits Coffee. Food was fantastic. Didnt expect such authentic tasting Korean food in Campbell River! A great place and the owner is fantastic. His grandfather was from North Korea and later moved to South Korea and China. The owner speaks Mandarin and Korean in addition to English. Such a great spot. Thanks for having me!
Great place to get a quick dinner. Food was well made and delicious. Nice outdoor patio.
The coffee is excellent. The bagel sandwiches are delicious! We order take out often and love the bulgogi! The dumplings and cheesecake are outstanding.
Never been here.
Delicious bagels from Saint Viateur (they actually ship them from Montreal!)! Excellent excellent coffee with alternate milk options. We ve had a lot of coffee from all over the west coast over the last 3 weeks and we unanimously voted this one as the best (5 votes). We returned to this place on our way back through Campbell river. Can t comment on other food options.
Wow, this place has the best Korean food my husband and I have ever had, and we have been to many Korean places in the Lower Mainland. Everything is delicious: the japchae, mandu dumplings, veggie pancake, mushroom and tofu army stew...and if you eat in, you also get very tasty side dishes as an added bonus :) The portions are generous, food is of an excellent quality, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly. And bonus - its open late on Mondays (pretty special for CR!). This place is so delicious and a true gem in the town but still feels largely undiscovered so please give it a try and spread the word. I also encourage the restaurant to advertise more widely and improve their signage so people know that Kung Fu Cafe is also a Korean restaurant in the evenings!
Super good but super spicy! Worth the money! Order it through skip and got it nice and hot.
Amazing spot. Epic spicey soup, and the dumplings were fresh and juciey.
Finally some awesome korean food. Love the spice!
The dumplings are incredibly delicious! Perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavour. The Bulgogi was also fantastic. We are so lucky to have a place like this in Campbell River! Thank you so much!
Yum! So happy to have a Korean restaurant in town. Everything tasted great; and the service was wonderful. Can t wait to try it again!
Excellent. Finally somewhere to get bibimbap since other places stopped including it on the menu. The kids actually ate the chicken and mayo dish (how could you not??) So another win. Cant wait to try the cheese Raman next. Kid-friendliness: Non-spicy dishes for kids who think tooth paste is spicy.
Amazing taste!
Thé freshest Kimchi, excellent dumplings, awesome bulgogi and the creamiest cheese cake we have ever had. I would 100 % recommend this food to anyone. We will definitely go again!
Fresh and tasty, we had two flavours of rice bowls. Authentic Korean food but location was hard to find since there s no Zannchi signage (it s part of Nesbitt s Coffee)
Very delicious and great portion.
Wow, what a fantastic addition to Campbell River! Bibimbap and bulgogi bowls are delicious. The mandus are house made and very flavourful. Make sure you save room for dessert their basque cheesecake is a perfect end to a great dinner.
Wonderful meal! Flavourful, great spice and large portions!! Will absolutely be back for more.
Nesbits during the day..5pm, awesome korean dishes! Theres no signs for this place because its Nesbits coffee! Dont get lost. Amazing! The dumplings are 10/10. Just order them! Kimchi beef and avocado veg are both super spicy but so delicious. Im going to recommend to all my friends this little gem. Please support our local entrepreneurs!!
I ordered delivery and not only was it fast but it was delicious! I tried the fried Mandu dumplings, spicy pork and chive rice bowl, and veggie jeon. Spice level was perfect not too hot. Can t wait to try more from the menu in the future!
Excited to see this new place open. Had the bimbimbap, soy chicken with lettuce, dumplings, and veggie jeon: everything was perfect and DELICIOUS. Dumplings were juicy, jeon was crispy, bimbimbap and soy chicken were so flavourful. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Campbell River!
Delicious and authentic. The food is fresh, flavourful and nicely presented. Very nice touch serving kimchi, pickled radish and a salad as an appetizer. Dont forget to order a slice of the homemade cheesecake! Well be back for sure.
Incredible food. You have to try the Korean BBQ; Absolutely delicious. Very friendly service too!
Food is really good and the people are very nice.
Ten stars for this korean resto and cafe. We had a sumptuous dinner, the food were excellent and it s really a taste of authentic Korean food. When we got there it is already well prepared for us and the ambience is just perfect. Thank you Jackson and the rest of the staff because we had a full happy tummy. We will be one of your loyal customers
Awesome Korean food very authentic and super fresh kimchi! Lately take out food in town is expensive and underwhelming BUT Zannchi is a pleasant surprise of fresh ingredients and feel good tummy vibes. Campbellton local thumbs up!
