Ordered the lunch halibut fish n fries two piece the fish looked like two chicken mcnuggets maybe a little thicker disappointing

We tried carve last night for the first time. The restaurant is beautiful! We went just for cocktails and ended up getting some mussels and fries to share and we each had a creme brulee. We were surprised with a delightful amuse-bouche from the kitchen. It was delicious. Our experience was great, but what made it fantastic was our waitress Beth. She was great in every sense and I cant say enough good things about her!! We had a wonderful evening and she managed to make it even better

Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of disappointing. We were looking forward to a lovely evening out in order to celebrate a special birthday but things went downhill fast. When I called to make a reservation (several weeks before) I let them know that we were celebrating a 60th birthday and requested a cozy nook as to limit ambient noise. I was told that would be added to our reservation notes. The table we were seated at was the first table as you enter the restaurant, directly in front of the bar. Needless to say it was the opposite of cozy and extremely noisy. We asked our server if there was any chance we could be relocated to the dining room but no effort was made to move us. We thought that maybe the food would make up for the terrible table. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best. We also found a hair in the food (it looked like a dog hair). The best thing about the meal was the wine. The service paired nicely with the food. Mediocre again. Our waitress checked on us when we took our first bite and didnt come back until we were finished our food and completely out of wine. She did however ask how our experience was. So I told her that we would not be returning and explained the reasons why. Despite its pleasing and modern atmosphere, the food and service at Carve fell far below our expectations. It was actually an incredible disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant as a fine dining option or any option for that matter.

A little disappointed. We were staying at the hotel and arrived for a late sitting. The service we received would be best forgotten than spoken about. The server went to check on our food several times before it finally appeared. The soup of the day was carrot and bacon -so salty. The sour dough and whipped butter was scrumptious. The ceaser salad was half made-did someone eat half of it before it left the kitchen? The pork loin was perfectly cooked. The Syrah from the Okanagan was the highlight. Underwhelming would be the way to describe the experience

went there for supper with my girlfriend, our waiter Manish was very friendly and accommodating to her hazelnut allergy, 10/10 recommend! Dietary restrictions: accommodated for my girlfriends hazelnut allergy!

Service was slow but were understaffed so not the fault of the servers working. Breakfast is fine. Overpriced for what you get. The fried potatoes are tator tots which is extremely misleading and doesnt justify the price of the breakfast Imo. The interior is pretty.

My wife and I finally got a night out on the town for her birthday and we decided to give Carve a try. I work with the husband of the Horticulturalist there and they highly recommended it if you have a steak craving. Well guess what, we did. The Mrs. got the 6 oz bacon wrapped tenderloin and I got the 10 oz striploin and man were they ever delicious. We started with a Caesar salad and a few cocktails and they were also very tasty. We were served by Sakuraba and he was a delightful gentleman that understood we were in a bit of a time crunch to catch a show. My meal was so good and I have to learn to chew slower when I eat, but there were moments I had to close my eyes to enjoy the taste, it was that good. We finished with a lemon tart for desert that was comped by the restaurant for my wifes big day, which was much appreciated. Definitely a treat for us that is usually out our price range but was worth every penny. My wife and I had a superb breakfast at Carve. The eggs benny is to die for! We also had a side of sourdough bread and it was just amazing. Everything had lots of flavor and was served nice and hot. We loved the decor in Carve. It is elegant and tasteful. Our server Vijay was very good. He was very attentive and answered any question we had. We would highly recommend this restaurant in Campbell River. We will be back!

A wonderful lunch experience. Steak and salmon were cooked to perfection. The salmon side complimented the dish perfectly. Enjoyed the OMG Rings for a starter.

4 of us had the exact same meal off of the Prix Fixe menu which included a Caesar salad, beef dinner main course and dessert. Our server, Brittany and our meal was excellent. I speak for all of us when I say the dinner was exceptional in every way. We will be talking about this dinner for a very long time. Kudos to the chefs and the staff, thank you for a great experience. I have never had a better tasting meal.

Service was sporadic .. very slow to start .. sat quickly.. with drink menus .. 10 minutes no server . Had to go to the hostess for food menus ..not what I expect in a high end restaurant.. food was tasty ..but really expected more .. veggies.not a rounded meal .. service improved .. as the meal progressed.. but honestly .. not overly impressed Im sure they will improve with time ..

This is a fairly newly opened restaurant, so perhaps it is having growing pains. We had a steak with a side order of bearnaise sauce (in a very small container - $6.00. Good but not $6.00-for-a- miniscule-container good). The steak was a bit tough and not browned well enough. Our sides were the mushrooms, which were good but more boiled than grilled, and the wilted greens were a soggy clump of spinach with crispy onions and garlic chips which were not at all crispy due to the sogginess of the spinach. The most irritating thing was our server who repeatedly urged us to buy another cocktail and some appetizers because it would be a long wait for our steaks (it wasnt) He did this 3 or 4 times, and left the wine menu on our table, and didnt hide his disappointment (or disapproval?) when we declined. Same with when we didnt order dessert. We also overheard a server at the next table, dissing another local restaurant which is not cool. It was also very noisy and difficult to hear each other. A disappointing dining experience. We expected classier food and service for the money.

We ordered off of a menu called a Prix Fix menu. You got to choose a starter: either soup of the day or Caesar salad. Next you got to choose your main: chicken, steak or vegetarian. All came with different sides. I had the chicken and it came with a grilled potato creation, carrot purée and seasonal veggies. My husbands steak came with mashed potatoes seasonal veggies. Finally, the desert included was the best crème brûlée I ve ever tasted. Melt in your mouth and a generous sized portion. Wow!!! All of this was $49 per person!! Now here is the best part. Aundy, our server, was the best server I ve had, maybe ever! She treated us so well, wiped the table after each course so it was clean, and gave me fresh cutlery between courses. (I hate saving my dirty fork from my first course for the second, and Carve doesn t make you do that like most places). Another small gesture that went a long way, the chef had a little sample of beef and rice balls (deep fried) on two cute little spoons with tomato sauce underneath. They were offering them to each table to enjoy. I would recommend Carve 1000%. It s a gem that Campbell River is very lucky to have!

First visit to Carve and we ll definitely be back! Food was perfectly cooked, staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and we loved the view and the atmosphere. Had the Prix Fix Menu and each dish was more than we expected. Caesar Salad was delicious, my Steak was cooked exactly as ordered and my Wife s Chicken was stellar. Crème Brûlé was exceptional. Best Espresso Martini I ve ever had. So good I had two, in fact. Our server Saurabh was excellent and even though it was busy, he was always making sure things were just right and that we were satisfied. Amanda and her team have created a wonderful dining experience.

Carve is just what this city needed. We have a few great restaurants in CR, but Carve adds a sense of flair and class. I feel like I no longer have to travel to Vancouver to eat at places like Boulevard, Miku, etc for quality dining. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection and the presentation a work of art. The staff were so friendly, helpful, professional, and accommodating. The chef actually let me order a Caesar salad earlier one day as I didn t realize they only served brunch and dinner on Saturdays. (Probably would ve been an issue if I were in a group, but I was thankful all the same). I d like to give a shout out to Aundy, Beth, and Kirpal. You are absolutely GEMS and you made my stay at the hotel even more pleasant! Seriously can t wait to eat here again! Highly recommended!

Celebrated our elopement at Carve this weekend and had such an amazing night! Fantastic food and drinks, and exceptional service! All of the staff were so personable and lovely, and truly made the night special and fun (especially Jenni!). The host, bartenders, servers, and the chef all went above and beyond in making our night so special. We left with sore cheeks, full bellies, and a hand written card signed by all the staff working that night. One of the best dining experiences I have had, and will remember forever. I am truly so thankful! We will definitely be back!

Went to this great restaurant tonight. Absolute beaut of a meal. The short rib was tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. This place is a real gem like Zadorov.

I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite its pleasing and modern atmosphere, the food fell far short of my expectations. While they claim to specialize in steaks, the strip loin was far from the quality one would expect. It was gristly and tough, reminiscent of a steak you would find at a roadside diner. If youre craving a good steak, I would t suggest this establishment. Cactus Club, Earls, or any number of chain restaurants are better. Even the onion ring appetizer, which sounded amazing with its Duck Confite description, was a letdown. The rings were heavily encrusted with tasteless meat bits, leaving much to be desired. The brisket sandwich was also quite undesirable. The bread was overcooked and hard, and the brisket itself tasted sous vide and lacked any real flavor. Ive had better french fries at fast food restaurants, which is quite disappointing for what claims to be a high-end establishment. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant as a high-end dining option. Save you money!

Be warned a very strict dress code to make it past the front desk to dine! We dropped in to have dinner on our 20th Wedding Anniversary on our way home to Qualicum Beach. We were confronted by the hotel management and 3 staff all staring at us at the front desk. The manager proceeded to tell us we needed to change to eat at the restaurant. My husband asked if he had a room we could change in and he replied that he thought we were staying at the hotel. He did not give us any option to change into something else. I had on what i thought was pretty nice casual wear an expensive t shirt and very modest knee length shorts and my husband could easily have changed into his good shirt in our vehicle but a very frosty stare down by 4 people made me feel embarrassed and ready to leave as fast as I could never to return! Too bad as we had dined at Marilena in Victoria just a week prior with nice jeans and a t-shirt and were whisked in without even a glance at our attire and treated to the chefs table, if you have never dined there a truly 5 star experience not to be missed, we returned twice while there it was excellent. I really wish we had made it past the front desk stare down so I could have written a glowing dinner review instead! Please be aware you need to wear very smart attire to this lovely venue so you can have a warmer and more enjoyable experience than we did! A very disappointing experience especially for our 20th Anniversary we were so hoping to enjoy a special meal for. We settled for a Salt pizza from Parksville instead with a great bottle of wine which was delicious as usual and made up for the bad experience we had, probably why we are still happily married after 20 years:)

The best meal I ve had in ages. Food was phenomenal and the people there went above and beyond expectations. Came for my 28th birthday and I was well celebrated with a hand written card signed by all the workers as well as everyone at the table was given a special hors d oeuvres before the meal that is appareantly different everyday. Everyone s steak was exactly as ordered and the cocktails were out of this world. Was worth every penny and I will definitely be back. Well deserved 5-stars.

My daughter and I came to this beautiful restaurant this past Saturday. Amazing service, atmosphere and the food was delicious. Our tenderloin steaks were cooked to perfection. All the staff were very engaging and friendly! I will definitely be back!!

Went for dinner last night for my husbands birthday. Everything was amazing. Jenni was our waitress and she was very personable and attentive. All the food was delicious, cocktails were very well done, great wine list and the atmosphere was great. So happy to have a great steak house in Campbell River.

We had a delightful evening at Carve recently. We were offered a choice of tables as there were 2 large party groups so we picked the table in an alcove away from the noise. It was perfect. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Shout out to John and Emma for looking after us. We will definitely be dining here again soon!

My wife and I tried the Carve Meatery and were served by Adriann who demonstrated a high level of knowledge about both cuisine and wine. The food was excellent and the beverage choices were great. Carve is a place I could recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner whether you choose to golf at this world class venue or not. I will miss Adriann as a server as clearly he will quickly recognized as an employee that should be with his level of education and talent running his own department within the organization. Absolutely Adriann is an exceptional employee. What a delight to have a server that is so attentive and clearly understands the hospitality industry at all levels. We will be returning as this was a first class dining experience.
