We Are Open Tuesday to Saturday @ 11:30AM! Welcome to MVP! We are located in Campbell River, BC. We have a variety of beer on tap, including our own Home Brew!! Come on in to enjoy a cocktail or a nice cold beer in a frosted mug while you watch your favorite game, play a game of keno, or pull tabs. I called to see if they had a sports channel and the person couldn’t care enough to check. Going through all the channels apparently wasn’t worth their time or my business as a potential customer.
Price was good. Food was great. Service was fast and helpful. Definitely recommend for a pub fare craving.
Food and service are always good. But this evening our server must have bathed in perfume. It was super overpowering and gave me a headache. I’ve been a server for many years and anyone working with public should not be wearing perfume as many people have bad reactions.
I really like this pub! It’s one of the only neighborhood pubs around in Campbell River any more! So yay to that! The staff is always really great! But the menu is sooo dated! Like Who serves popcorn shrimp anymore! Honestly I think the whole menu needs an overhaul! Let the chefs creative ideas flow! Come on people! Use some Imagination! Do some research! Learn some New culinary skills! Up the game a bit! Be proud! Stop boring 90s menu ! Please!!
Went to the restaurant side with the family for my son’s 18th birthday. Their food and service are excellent. Reasonable prices. I’ve never been disappointed eating there. One time in the past we went in a bit later and it looked like the family restaurant side was closed and just the pub was open. We spoke with one of the pub servers who welcomed us in even though we were the only ones there and said she would be our server. It was so awesome. Super friendly and helpful staff. Their menu has shortened recently but still some great choices on there. Highly recommend!
Watched a hockey game and had a meal there. Found it on Google when I searched for a pub in Campbell River. Food was fairly average and a tap high priced. I felt like the brewery could have been better presented to make the space more interesting. Thr family restaurant section was absolutely empty which gave the place an empty vibe. My server was pretty great! I liked how she was both attentive and gave me space to take my time.
Been to this place MANY times, normally a phenomenal experience. Staff is friendly, great value for food & drinks. I had the absolute worst experience when my wife and I went on the evening of Feb 3. The pub was busy, however there was a whole section empty on facing the windows, with two large parties facing the beer fridge & distillery equipment. We asked the petite, red headed waitress if we could sit in the empty section that was a little quieter near the windows. There was 2 of us, we’re not there to get rowdy, just to have a quick drink and some appetizers. She responded by telling us we HAD to sit in her section, where she took 10 minutes separating a table where there were two large parties enjoying their evening beside us. We were then ignored for 25 minutes (while said waitress did her thing with the large parties) while the other waitress (black hair, quite pleasant) looked visibly frustrated at the situation. Once we realized what happened, we got up and left without ordering any food and just had water. If there is internal politics between the staff, please do not take it out on the customers. This place was one of our favourite spots in town, we will be quite reluctant to come back anytime soon.
The Chili & Soups here are AMAZING!!! The Chef here Won 1st place🏆 in the local Chili Competition. The Chili is currently not available until the full menu returns. I highly recommend it once it's available again.

Coldest beer on tap I ever experienced and wings incredible with great service well organized I will be back!!!

The bartender is a disgusting person, she was very racist with me, according to her I was drunk when I just wanted to eat something, she was very rude and disrespectful, she treated us very badly and kicked us out of the place, I dont recommend it at all
They denied me entry because I had juice and they told me I was drunk and they didnt let me eat either, I wasnt drunk.
great pita bread, lots of nice wing flavors, asked for sautéed mushrooms on burger, wasnt on menu but they executed perfectly! thank you dave for the great food!

I come here all the time, and I love the atmosphere and the exceptional service! Ive never had a problem with the serving staff, wheather theyre veterans, or rookies. They always accomodate, with a smile on their faces. I will definitely be back!

Went in at lunch with a group. Arrived at 12:10. Heard the food was notoriously slow so let the waitress know we were in a hurry and had a 1:00 meeting. Please bring food as it is ready instead of bringing all at once. Ordered poutine because its a quick cook. Next table over 2 ladies ordered 20 minutes after I did and they got their fries in 5 minutes. Finally, at 12:45 I said I needed the food to go and I suspect they just started it then because it came out 5 minutes later. Got to eat cold poutine after my meeting. Wasnt good at all. Dont go here if youre in any kind of hurry at all.
It was a pleasant experience with my girlfriend and friends. JAZMYN made sure our experience was perfect through and through. I would give her the employee of the month if she worked for me
Stopped in on my way home, play some video poker, drink club soda, (dont drink alcohol if I am driving) Had the poutine. Very good, lots of it. Couldnt eat it all. Good value for the money. Food
One of the last pubs left. Too bad they dont brew beer anymore. Food is okay.

It took quite awhile for us to be seated, and for the waitress to come take our order. Food was good. The day was cloudy and cooler than usual - room was very cold. Friendly waitress.
Moved away from CR , this pub will actually be missed. Loved the food and atmosphere here. Portions were always amazing too at a decent price in a world where you gotta give half a kidney for a loaf of bread.

Ordered lunch for take out - food was absolutely amazing! Packaged nicely and food was all very fresh and appetizing which can be a challenge when packing food for take out. I had the chicken caesar wrap & my partner had the quesedilla, we both very much enjoyed the large portions! Ordered dinner for take out - my fault for not realizing their kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, they took my order and once again it was fresh and delicious! I might have found my new favorite spot :)

I am new to the area and this was one of the first results that came up for restaurants. It was very delicious with very large portions. Wait staff are friendly which always makes the meal better. Did not have to wait too long for anything. If youre in the area I definitely recommend having a bite here. Will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.
My go to place in C. R. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. We had the Steak sand @ 20 bucks. Cooked to perfection a good value imo. Pub on one side Restaurant on another. Pool table... Keno.. Pull taps.

Overall great service....accommodated a reservation for 40 on short notice...kitchen was short staffed but they did really well...not too pleased that we were still charged for something we returned...pull tabs need to be updated and refilled...
Best wings Ive had in a long time. They even had salt and pepper, just like I ordered. Wife and MIL had the beef dip and raved about it. Server 17 was spot on and did an excellent job. Well done!

Always friendly folk. Just dropped in for a cold one and a few wings. Sadly ,the wings,like Mars bars and everything else seemed to be bigger in yesteryear. The poor budgies that donated their undercarriage were tasty though
Lovely place, not too loud on a Thursday night. Food was wonderful. But the best part of the evening was our server Katie. She was patient, helpful, (we dont go out often) and cheerful. Made the whole experience enjoyable
Went there last night first time in few years wont be back , took an hour to get wings took half an hour to get a beer headed empty beer mug most of the night waiting our food was over an hour and a half I realized theyre short staffed, better waitress was more concerned with the regulars and her friends not impressed with service at all its been a fair bit of money wont be back to spend any more I work hard for my money and dont mind tiping but tiped very little due to servise and was not that busy ,had to go to bar to remind her I ordered a beer ,are my meal with no drink ,wings were good
Ordered 2 appys at 5:45, they didn t arrive at our table until 6:45. My partner ordered a beer (on tap) and it took 1/2 hr to get to our table. The waitess was more concerned about serving her regulars and friends. Then when our food came out, she brought out 3 of the 4 meals .. and it took 30 minutes to get the 4th. The table behind us - filled with her regulars / friends were served their drink rounds on 20 minute intervals. They never went without. At one point my partner went to the bar to get his beer, as she was so busy laughing with her regulars at the bar to bring him his beer that he had ordered 20 minutes before. She was rude and said it s on its way It took us 3.5 hrs to have appys and meals. She asked us at the end if we wanted more drinks. My son in law said no. The she brought him one anyway. I know that they are short staffed, but when you can blatantly see others getting better service ..there is no excuse.

I m use to great food by MVP but tonight was the worst. Simple food didn t seemed cooked and everything was absolutely cold, no heat to the food at all. I phoned to give them a chance to make it right and they did Nothing. Didn t ask for us to bring it back or make it right. Won t be recommending or ordering from them again!

I KNOW IT SOUNDS BORING BUT GET THE TOMATO SOUP. ITS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT!!! also the enviroment was good. Only thing Id have different was the waitress coming to check to see how our food was at least once before it was all gone haha

BEST CHICKEN WINGS in town!! Hands down, if you want wings this is the place to go (Pricing is amazing and flavor will knock your socks off) In regards to the atmosphere I love it, theres a mix of people on the family side and a great group of people on the Bar side. The service is always good and if you get something not quite the way you want it the staff is great for ensuring its fixed with no complaints. My go to place.

One of the best places in town to eat. You can sit on the pub side and watch the game or go in the restaurant side. The food and the service is excellent either way.

It is what it is. I went to the restaurant side. Server was very nice, food was average. I was looking for a simple place to kill some time with my daughter and this was perfect. Nothing special but filled the void.

Just driving by and saw it was a pub & restaurant, thought we would give it a try. Was surprisingly good. Had taco salad and a large order of tacos. Both were very good. Glad we stopped.
The service was great. The food was hot and fast, large portions...but I had the breaded veal cutlet with mushroom gravy, mixed veg and fries. The cutlet was lacking in taste...I am assuming it was a frozen product thrown in the deep fryer. My husband had the fish and chips, the fish was overcooked. My friend had the taco chicken salad and she said there was no seasoning on the chicken. My other friend had the wonton soup and it was just nasty. The wontons were tasteless, the broth tasted like green peppers which were in the soup. Everything was presented well, just to many flaws in the taste.

Great server, fast and had the whole bar area under control with food and drinks with 80% of the tables full.
The food here is pretty good, pricing is pretty decent, and they have pull tabs along with other gambling. The service however is slow so if you are in a rush for dinner you may want to consider going somewhere else.

Service was good on a tuesday evening. Clean. Food was tasty...the have some new items on the menu for October features.
Average place the décor is terrible and plan the bar area is really noisy (why we chose to stay in the restaurant area) I order the American burger which was good the service was ok and fast. Nothing great to tell about this place but nothing has either.
Great and very fast service barely had time to have a drink of my beverage before food got to our table ordered prime rib special and was a huge order and was awesome highly recommend this place. Was super busy there too. Waitresses were very kind and friendly

we had dinner and a movie tickets . we called ahead to see if we could see movie then lunch. we were told NO PROBLEM. we went on sunday and were told mgr not in and could only honor if we had dinner after 5pm first then movie after that. No manager on site and waitress tried to text one but no reply from manager. we get this every xmas for the last 10yrs or so and had lunch then the movie 5 out of 10 times had movie then lunch/dinner 5 out of 10 times. I told my nephew dont get this for us again ever. very unhappy for this rediculous treatment.

The burgers are the worst I have ever had. The salad didnt even have a crunch to it.. all the lettuce was wilted. The managed to make good onion rings. So maybe only order deep fried food from there. The service was ok.
