The last few times not so good. Food was late each time and the last meal tasted like a heat lamp surprise Wouldn't normally complain but 60 bucks for two people, fish was like rubber and the steak was burnt. They usually have great food, not sure what happened. Service is good though.
I always love the old hotel of the town. Been hanging out at The Alice for about 25 years now, there and Norsemen are my go to in Camrose. Good times here, I love the non pretentious brick and wood in the bar. Also like that it’s a place where you stand up and mingle, not just sit at your table all night. Karaoke always fun! Pool tables, VLTs and great service staff. Food in lounge very good. Good prices. All in all, an interesting piece of history and fun place to go.

Met a friend there. Parking was good. Service was excellent and a very welcoming atmosphere!😊 I had checked out the rooms 2 years ago and there's a nice variety of rooms, depending on your needs for space etc. The same fellow is still there and he has extensive knowledge of the area. It's nice and close to the Elks Hall which I like.👍

The meal at The Steampunk Pub was phenomenal! The burger was so big I couldn't finish the meal with the fresh French fries. The menu had gluten free options as well.
Went to the bar.. very dark and squishy. A Band was playing which was cool. And two school reunions were happening . 1973, and 1993.trailed in later. But the staff was pleasant and very attentive. Lots of energy. And the bar was actually very active. Most there were under 25, except the reunion folks

Very cool old historical hotel. I love that the original hotel sign remains. A cool and important piece of Camrose history. The area around can be kind of unsavory however.

We had burgers in the restaurant and they were delicious!! I would eat there again. It is an older hotel and you could smell a bit of cigarette smoke in the restaurant. The bar smells like an ashtray....so if you dont like the smell of smoke...dont go in there. Lol

Food and drinks: We went to the Steampunk Cafe for lunch. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastical. Our server was friendly and efficient. Our favourite place to eat at in Camrose.

I was in Camrose and for some reason I wanted to have lunch at the Alice Hotel. No idea what it was like but it just sort of drew me. Had lunch in the bar, it was not busy and there was only the bartender there. Quite liked his personality and tried his recommendation for beer. Good ale. Had a caesar salad with shrimp skewer. I wasnt really impressed with the actual shrimp on the skewer but they were fine. Decent pricing. Typical old bar pub. Nothing bad to say and likewise nothing outstanding either. I will probably go back for lunch again now that I have been there. I think it rates a 4 star rating because it was a good experience,

Just popped in for a ginger ale to visit with some friends. Barrys back yay! Great man to have there serving! Always a smile and a laugh! Chamil came on duty havent seen him I years still as perfect as always!

Such a great pub! It had good music that wasnt too loud for conversation and the staff and customers were both very friendly. Theres a little patio for those of you who want a quick smoke with your drink! We ordered the mushroom caps and spring rolls. The spring rolls were quite full of meat and reminded me more of a sausage roll but were very delicious! The mushroom caps had a lot of melty cheese and the garlic bread was sort of a focaccia and very delicious snack. Its a very casual atmosphere but highly recommend for a bite and a beer after work!

Food here used to be an awesome deal. Great food great prices. Table has little toppers and I asked to order that and buy as told thats nolonger available either. Why advertise things in your table only to tell the customer no. Unfortunately the great prices are long gone. With recent renovations and rebranding to the lounge to a steampunk theme. I dont know where the demographic in this town to support a steampunk theme is. All I know is that the great prices are long gone, just like my business in the future. The only real place in town that did a good wing wednesday.

Usually, this is a very good place to eat. New waitress and maybe a new cook as well. Will try again in a few weeks to see if they have grown into their jobs.

The front desk attendant was unhappy to see some business flowing in the hotel. Didnt ask us anything about our journey, had no concept of customer service. Didnt tell us if the hotel has WiFi or not. There was no soap or shampoo in the rooms washroom. I personally had to ask her for soap as they dont have shampoo. Anyways dont stay there on weekends they have jam night in their pub and the sound insulation is really bad. I dont recommend staying at this place.

We were looking for a place to eat before we headed on our drive home. Found this on Google. Awesome. I am a cook, so it ticks me off when we go out and I can do better at home. Not this. Terry had the bacon cheese pretzel burger, I had the stEakins and pasta special. The gnocchi was awesome nice,light. Service was great also.
Wow-I am blown away by the updated, lovely decor and quite simply , the excellence of the food @ the re-vamped Alice hotel. I have cheerfully been eating my way through their menu, and have been pleased with everything I have tried so far- but their steak and lobster combo really capped it, this past Wednesday, if you like sweet, perfectly cooked lobster tail sitting atop a perfectly medium-rare 80z slice of buttery-beefy-tenderness , served with delicious grilled vegetables and hand cut , obviously homemade fries-then by all means-go to the Alice...just go there..its all good. Wait..is it wednesday yet? Oh NICE! Steak and lobster combo is on special there twice a week-Wednesday and Saturday...OH ! AND they serve breakfast!! Cant wait to try their braised short ribs and stuffed mushroom combo! :)
