We received our ribs cold. The calamari was too much and tasted like old greasy oil. THE chowder cream without claws. No braised beef. Very disappointed. There were 6 AND THE 6 WERE DISAPPOINTED

Festive dinner in groups, very disappointing, one of the people turned over his piece of meat, very hard and full of nerves. Several people had ribs but everyone was disappointed, the meat of the ribs was very hard, it was impossible to separate the meat with a fork. I hope this comment helps you adjust the tire. We may return but if its the same it will be our last visit.

After 3 years I can say I was disappointed with the food. Steak and frites, steak is now smaller and it was dry. Ribs were dry and not much meat. Lobster tails were overcooked. For the prices they charge the food should be perfect. Too bad, used to be good. November 2024 paid another visit. 2 to dine. Chicken tenders were mostly bread with a small piece of chicken SHAMEFUL. Ribs were ok. Waitress was amazing. This plate pictured below looked great but was BLAND as could be. Noodles, steak, shrimp and scallops and still BLAND. Noodles were in a ball like the chef just didnt care. Shrimp like bullets, scallops tough. My partner hardly touched it. So disappointed.Dont tell it was busy because it wasnt. Maybe 10 people in the whole joint. You told me to email you which I did. Why dont you just cook the food the way its supposed to be cooked. Aint that hard.

Excellent meal, but make a reservation even at dinner time during the week otherwise there is a shortage of cooks and waiters. This significantly increases the wait time for your meal.

We asked for starters at the same time as the meals, but that didnt happen. Several fruit flies around the table and plates, one even fell into my beer. The raised sides tasteless. Lobster taco for $25 with only 3 small pieces of lobster. Very very disappointing, I promise Ill never be there, it cost $100 and there was nothing but nothing good.

We went with 4 people. Its really the raised sides that are their specialty because my father-in-law took the medium filet mignon bleeding and it was more medium but very tough and full of nerves. He offered something else and his ribs were good but very disappointed because he wanted a steak. For my part, I took the seafood pasta. 3 good, perfectly cooked shrimp but 3 very small scallops. A little disappointing. For the price now that it costs at the restaurant it will take a while before I return to the baton rouge.

Im a fan of Baton Rouge because we dont have one so when I come to MTL I take advantage of it! Normally the dishes should be the same everywhere in the restaurant chain! I admit that this is the second time I have come to Candiac and that I am disappointed! There were 5 women, those who had the ribs were good except the coleslaw tasted nothing and there were 2 of us who had the tender chicken salad which I usually love! To my surprise there wasnt much chicken and it was very tough! It looked like it had to be reheated several times! Normally this salad is quite hearty but this time very disappointing....

Ribs were good. Fries ok but could be crispier. Why would you get rid of the beans? Coleslaw was good but cant replace beans. Staff very nice.

I had the lobster poutine and I was very disappointed in the amount of lobster. It was a dusting of lobster, it barely tasted like lobster. For $27, I expected more lobster. The amount of lobster was probably less then half a claw. I was very disappointed and even my colleagues were surprised when it showed up, you could barely see lobster.

First time at this restaurant for dinner. Service still good, my napkin which surrounded my utensils was dirty. Soup of the day very good, plate of ribs very good, coleslaw which could have been tastier. Fish and chips tasted nothing and coleslaw the same. Not sure we will go back... The food was okay. I got a Cesar salad and the Maine clam chowder. Both were not outstanding. For a beverage, I got a Corona. It was nice that the bartender spoke English.

This is my favorite restaurant on the South Shore. The fast and impeccable service at this restaurant is truly exceptional, even when hosting a large group. The drinks are excellent, the warm and welcoming atmosphere adds an extra touch to the excellence of the dishes served, creating a dining atmosphere that is both inviting and memorable.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the decor and look is very old fashioned, the tables are scratched up and stained. We were so exited to go but quickly got disappointed. It took over 40 minutes to get our mains, we got steak and fries and wow the fries were so peppery and salty to the point of being dehydrated after every bite, we asked for ketchup as we thought it would help with the taste but did not received any, when we asked for the bill, the lady goes did you get the ketchup, no?, would you still like it? No thanks not after 10 minutes of waiting for it. Talk about loosing your appetite! The staff rarely pass by, mind you it was lunch time, was not busy at all! Afterwards, we had such a bad taste of our experience we just went to a close by McDonald s. We left feeling as salty as the fries were! (Very) maybe don t put as much salt and pepper especially when theres salt and pepper at the table for us to use accordingly to our tastes! Just a thought. This franchise is what it s called a bad apple , giving a bad experience that ruined Baton Rouge for us, not only this specific location but others as well as it was that bad.

We had a reservation for 20 people at 7h30 pm. The hostess gave our table to another group.my mistake, and instead of admitting her mistake, she had a horrible arrogant attitude. We waited until 8h, spoke to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do. Horrible service, arrogant staff. We left and went somewhere else.

Old decor, stained tables, aperitif drinks too sweet and low-end for the price, meal too expensive for what it is. Really disappointing. On the other hand, the staff is very friendly. Music too loud at the end of the week. Bathroom not very clean. We will not return there.

The decor is pleasant, the music is not too loud and pleasant, several of the places are quite intimate. The service was expeditious, impersonal, the waitress practically threw us the bill. We had to ask for water... The food was salty, the octopus cooked unevenly and the fries ordinary...the steak and ribs excellent.

Really disappointed with the quality of the food at this restaurant in Candiac! My ribs were dry! The parmentier velouté was served cold! The list of dessert choices is limited. Not to mention the invoice errors at the end which delayed our release. And finally, being put out in a very insulting way because they had other people who booked. I hadnt even finished putting my newborn baby in his shell when people came to sit at the table! A big zero as an experience! So

Best potato soup, ribs, grilled salmon. Food portions are generous, and their baked potato or fries are delicious. The food is delicious. The price matches the quality and quantity of the food.

Last minute dinner for 2 people as a couple, we were well received with a smile and I changed my place where we were seated too many comings and goings and without waiting we were offered another table :) the waitress was super nice I I forgot its name.. the starter soup excellent as always, our steak cooked to perfection, well marinated, vegetables well cooked, the garnished potato decadent, I find it high in calories but oh so good from time to time ;) We are picky about steaks because we like to cook them at home but without a doubt I will return because for me a 10/10 tonight! Thank you, it s a good end to 2023

Clean place and fast service

We ordered the spaghetti Alfredo but it smelled terrible. I had ribs and they were over cooked and too crusty to eat. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The carrot cake was slightly frozen so it wasnt really good. Kid-friendliness: They changed the spaghetti meal for chicken fingers for my granddaughter with no issue.

No taste and very commercial

To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Our food was cold when it arrived (même la patate au four). My husband ordered the BR Bloody Cesar specifically because it was supposed to come with beef jerky.. but there was no beef jerky with/in the drink. There was a mistake with his order as well (wrong entrée). We spent 75$/person. For the price, wed expect to receive a hot meal and what we ordered. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

First off we had to wait 15 min the get a Water, and then the waitress soo confused, she forgot what we ordered... hmmm... okk... then we ordered pasta gratiné, and they brought us a plate with some sprinkled cheese on the plate. Anyways to say the experience was soo horrible, NEVER AGAIN! And it was my boyfriends Birthday, we were trying to have fun, but FORGET ABOUT IT! LIKE I SAID NEVER AGAIN

We were well received by the hostess, but we ordered fetuccini alfredo pasta (no longer available on the menu unless requested) which lacked sauce, seasoning and taste.

Safe value, not wow but still get what you pay for

Very ordinary considering the price. Tartare which consists of cubes of salmon that taste like water, placed on slices of unripe avocado and a little sauce on top. No other ingredients to add some flavor or texture into the mix.

Chicken tender salad was pretty bad. Rusted lettuce, artichokes and palm hearts tasteless, no eggs and more breading than chicken

Notice to people with reduced mobility: despite the few stairs, it is possible to access the dining room by a removable ramp. Otherwise, there are a few places in the bar section where it is possible to be seated.

Completely disorganized services We went alone, me and my partner, on a Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., we were there as 2 servers . We ordered our appetizers and then our meal and before our drinks even arrived they arrived we were almost finished eating . Then we were left to our own devices without even being able to order desert or another drink . They brought us the bill that I paid and we left but I felt rushed for a Saturday evening I am very disappointed we were not even 30 minutes inside .. I am disappointed pcq I am Ive been a customer for around 15 years and Im really angry about the situation. I dont want to go and eat my little ones, get up relaxed, 2 minutes from home...

Went there for Mother s Day. Called ahead and asked if the lunch menu applied. Was put on hold to check then confirmed was told YES, lunch menu applied. To our surprise, it didn t! Regular menu only. Ordered ahi tuna salad. No flavour at all. For 25$ I expected to at least be somewhat pleased with the dish. Not at all. Not only was there no flavour but the meal left me hungry. Just lettuce, carrots, a few edamames and 5 small slices of tasteless tuna. I left there hungry! Yes I ordered a salad but when it s a main meal, it s supposed to at least be somewhat satisfying. Luckily my family had order more consistent rib meals with shrimp (44$ - including 17$ for 4 medium sized shrimp!!!) that they enjoyed that they shared. Overpriced and really underwhelming. Felt like we were taken advantage of, really. Should have gone to Madison s! Last time for us for sure!!

Had dinner yesterday at the Candiac location. We had previously reserved since it was Mother s Day. We were a group of 4 people. We were seated by a window. As for cleanliness, I can only imagine that it would need a thorough cleaning, there were some dried food behind the little advertisement on the table and alongside the seats. We all wanted to order the Prime Rib and were told they were all out for the day. It was 5:00 PM on a Sunday. How is that possible? This is one of their signature dishes. Nonetheless, we ordered one BBQ Pork Back Ribs and only realized later that they even forgot the coleslaw, we only received the fries, we also ordered the fillet mignon and Rib Steak. The meat was good. As for service, the waitress was very polite although she only came once to see if everything was okay. My mother wanted some bread and we were told that they no longer serve bread with meals. No refills were offered on the soda. Overall, it wasn t the best experience one would expect. Quite frankly there are better alternatives in the region.

Really nice place to have dinner. The food is good and the staff is friendly, we really enjoyed our dinner. But I would suggest to give back a bit of love to the place. Two examples, my seat had red dock-tape on it to probably fix a tear, and mens restroom. Food

The ribs seem to have gone down in quality since I last dined at Baton Rouge.

Christmas decorations in May? There is a bit of sloppiness in terms of decoration...this suggests other lack of attention.

Ive been back one time too many! what a disappointment really. We ordered the special plate for 2 people (I think it was for the restaurants anniversary). Oufffff really very small portion for what was good (the flank steak), pieces of chicken breast (I thought it wasnt breaded) so more than breaded! it was only breaded skin but where was the chicken??? I mentioned it to the waitress and she replied that there were a lot of people eating that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive already mentioned bad reviews for this restaurant but thats enough for us!. This restaurant should be avoided!

Very disappointed with my last experience, did not order the octopus, correct cooking for the rest disappointing, cherry tomatoes which is more of a bruchetta, the pure celery root was inexcistant and I had two tentacles. Receiving a spoon of bruchetta with two octopus tentacles at the price is very disappointing. The service was mediocre, as if she was an intern, for each dish she made me wait 5 minutes to go and ask the kitchen. If I give these three stars only because the rest was rather good despite the rocket fanner with the squid. And also because in general I had a good experience there otherwise I would have spent less than that. For me it will take a while before I go back.

Bring your own bread Today at 7:00 p.m., we chose seafood pasta. Lobster bisque for starter, and crème brûlée for dessert. Good service, reasonable wait, hot and good, missing a bit of seafood in the pasta. The most disappointing, no bread at this restaurant?!? We dont use it. We had to insist to finally get some that werent too fresh.

Tried the pork & brie burger and it lacked of flavor, the kids pasta was average and the lobster sandwich was regular, it was our first, and last time trying this place.

It was good. On the other hand, I dont recommend the garlic breads, they were expensive for the few slices there were. Everything was bathed in a river of garlic butter at the bottom of the plate and the bread was not completely browned.

Chicken tender salad was a huge dissapointment. Lettuce was brown and the chicken was terrible, I was nausea all night. The chicken tender plate had the same type of chicken and was also not edible. Wont go again.

The service was OK but the food was lukewarm and the portions were less generous.

We are from USA. Went to have lunch and watch Sunday NFL. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was too except zero NFL crowd. They had the NFL on but we were the only ones paying attention. Oh well. Avo, the manager, was very engaging.

I think they can improve the taste of the food, it was ok and it is a beautiful restaurant , the service was excellent.

The dishes were very tasty and the service was excellent. On the other hand, we were very disappointed because we paid $93 for 2 drinks and 2 dishes, with some beans and carrots fighting a duel. $28 for a dish of salmon, rice and vegetables is really a ripoff. My friends bib was tiny. Not to mention there was a strand of hair on my plate in the end we were so disappointed that we didnt have dessert. Ps: disappointed with Baton Rouge never again.

Yummy steak

Its a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The waitress who never knows how to introduce herself was nice. Now lets talk about my New York steak that I ordered medium cooking so pink my steak arrived well cooked, so no choice to turn it over to then receive a rare steak. My friends continued to eat their steak during this time but they were luckier for the cooking. Finally after 3 times my steak was cooked medium. I asked the waitress if there was a little compensation for this, and no. The owner is 0 customer service. Make your own conclusion, I will return to the Keg 100% good and 100% customer service.

We had a starter of fried squid which was rubbery with no flavor however the sauce that came with it was good! Then we took the new crispy chicken burger, no flavor again and so much oil that when we bit into it we had a mega gorge of oil and once again the breading had no flavor at all!
