Excellent seclusion! Nice people, service is quiet and subtle, beautiful in fall Im sure its beautiful in the summer also.

Had a wonderful two day stay with golfing in 2023, had my 1st hole in one on the trip and they presented me with an amazing gift later on that year. Cant wait to get back again.

Perfect place for golf! 2 areas are Burdenell and the magnificent Dundarave. Practice balls as needed, different practice areas. Near the river, boat rental. The catering is excellent. Really happy to have gone.

The view from these rooms are gorgeous. We are in a king suite with a beautiful living room and 2 patios with views of the river and the gulf course. The pub 19 had amazing food and drinks. Service there was great.

Perfect getaway spot for family fun! Water view cottage and path to the main facility is beautiful. 2 championship golf courses are in great shape and the staff everywhere on the resort is beyond nice and helpful. We will be back! Food recommendations are lobster at the Gordon, seafood pasta/spin dip at Club 19.

The resort is fine. Not wonderful, not terrible. Just fine. You basically get what you pay for. For people who grew up in the 80s or 90s, the resort is basically a flashback to 1990. The decor is very 90s, yet well maintained. It could use some updating. There was very loud music coming from the restaurant in the middle of the night. It kept my family up. My husband went to the front desk to ask them to turn it down and they did address it right away. Still, not the most peaceful or restful stay. The indoor pool was small, but fine. The outdoor pool was larger and very cold. Overall, fine for a night or two. Food and drinks: Food options are pretty limited. 2 members of my family have celiac disease and can t have gluten and the options were pretty limited. We were told some menu items were gluten free when they are not. No breakfast options for someone who is gluten free except for an egg.

This place is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the stop. The Mrs and I were terribly disappointed with an AirBnB we rented so we changed gears and stopped here. A beautiful resort, excellent staff and what looks to be a top notch golf experience to boot. Only wish I brought my clubs

Attended the land surveyors conference golf tournament. Had a blast and the other three gentlemen I was teamed up with were amazing.

The beat part of Brudenell is the incredible golf course. There are 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par fives located along the beautiful Brudenell River. The hotel staff are friendly, but the hotel rooms are a little dated. The kids loved the pool. We will come back!

We purchased the Winterval package and had a great time! They had so many activities for the kids and my son loved the indoor pool. The rooms could use a little updating but we enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the staff were friendly.

Beautiful cabins facing the river. Very spacious and cozy.

This was a middling place. The rooms are clean but dated. Were in PEI but the only seafood on the menu was mussels and fried fish at the 19th hole, or overpriced freezer pack salmon in the hotel restaurant. The one shining star in this place was the staff. They were fantastic, friendly, personable, and genuine. This place is attached to a golf course, which may be the draw. We didnt play, so I cant speak to it. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere. If youre not in the area in full tourist season, everything within 30 minutes appears to be closed. Rooms: They were tidy but dated. While we were there, the heating system was running amok, and our room temp climbed to 85 (it was 55-60 outside). Nearby activities: If you arent staying during tourist season, dont count on anything within 30 minutes being opened. Food and drinks: Its in PEI, but there was a disturbing lack of seafood on the menu. Noteworthy details: There is a pool and sauna on site, we were traveling very light and didnt have the accouterment to make use of these facilities.

Too bad for a pet friendly hotel that animals cannot stay in the rooms. We were unable to enjoy the hotel restaurants

The hotel is a little dated, but its clean and in good condition. They close the bar and restaurants between 10 and 11, so if you want to have a few drinks with friends, go early or byob. Rooms : 4/5

We stayed for two days/2 nights at this beautiful resort. From the moment we walked through the doors to the time we left we were treated like royalty. We ate at both restaurants and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the fettuccine Alfredo at the Gordon! There is lots to do for kids and adults. We ended each night by the outdoor fire pit and smores. You wont regret your stay! 5 stars! Rooms: Clean and super comfy beds! Walkability: Lots of places to walk! Even walked around the little island and visited the horses!

Pros - Well maintained - Peaceful - Beautiful location Cons 1. Very few veg options. No main course was vegetarian. 2. Drinking water is not provided in room. Have to buy from gift shop. 3. Front desk experience was bad. Had to wait in queue for a long time as there was a common queue for check-in and check-out. 4. Even room service had to remind thrice to get microwave plates. Food and drinks: Very few vegetarian food options. Hardly 2-3. With such a big hotel there must be ample options available. Drinking water must be included in the room price.

7/26/2024 Had the best restaurant experience in my 68 years. The two girls on duty were professional, engaging and very very friendly. It was awesome having laughter with my Omelet. I want them to know, we made it across the Woods landing ferry with no catastrophes. I will certainly stay there again. Rooms: Clean and good size Safety: All well marked ups and downs. We stayed here on the three night stay and play, but regrettably, for only one night. We stayed two nights at Crowbush Cove, but we liked Brudnell more. The rooms are dated, but thats part of the charm. The pool and amenities are excellent and the staff and service were friendly and attentive. This resort also offered food at a later time and for that alone, they got my seal of approval. I am a fan. I will return and stay here all three nights from now on.

Great place to stay and well worth the price. Awesome place. The room is nice, and the bathroom/shower is very spacious.

At first our greeting from the gentleman at reception was not very warm and we were very lost. In addition, we were treated like second-class guests because our children were not allowed to eat for free like all other children in this hotel. We were told that we hadnt booked through the homepage, but we specifically looked for a Canadian agency to do it for us. An impudence and incorrect representation of facts on the homepage! Very disappointing! Plus its crazy loud! Our two children cant sleep because other guests are partying here late into the night, drinking, shouting and shouting. Unreasonable! Im despairing here because unfortunately we still have 4 more nights here. Really bad conditions here.

We were staying down the street at a camping site. It was a dump. We found this place, and stayed 3 nights. I highly recommend it, and would stay again.

Place is good for families or golfers. Ring bug spray. Pretty remote location. Rooms are tired but bed was comfortable and they were very clean. Bathroom, super small. Only two restaurants open during the week and no oysters. Bring beverages and snacks. Service was generally mediocre ambivalent would be the best word to describe it. Golf course was nice

Outstanding resort - Stayed there for 6 days Staff was incredible Resort was right on the river with beautiful views Lots of activities including Ebike rentals -paddle boards - pool / bar We rented ebikes and rode to 3 towns close by with great restaurants Georgetown/ Cardigan / Montague Our room had a kichenette so we also bought sandwiches for a quick food option in case Finally the Golf courses We paid for a stay and play Both Dundarave and Brudenell River courses are right on the resort ( literally 2 minute walk to either one ) Dundarave is the more famous course and for good reason - it was immaculately maintained with signature red sand bunkers in a parkland style layout - stunningly beautiful Brudenell River is less famous but in my opinion equally stunning with a unique scorecard of 3 par 3s / 3 par 4s / and 3 par 5s per 9 The course follows the River for several holes with great views Both courses are challenging but fair with 4 different tee boxes If you are a golfer Both courses are a must play Thanks to everyone at Rodd Resort Brudenell for a really incredible and memorable vacation We will be back Highly recommended

Just want to provide my own experience. We stayed at the resort in July for two nights. Our room was located on the first floor. We had earwigs in the room. Probably not on issue on higher floors. We booked through the website on a discounted rate, but we did not qualify for free kids meals. We returned this week to golf because my son won a free round but we did not stay at the resort. We golfed twilight which should include a cart but was told it wasn t included because of the free round pass. I had my 10 and 8 year old sons and was also told 3 couldn t go in a cart. I found the Marshall to be non-existent during the round to keep the pace of play. I m a little disappointed because the resort doesn t offer any little extras to make the experience. We had a much better experience at the Mill River resort (golfing and stay), which is also a Rodd resort. The facility is nice and there are plenty of amenities. I just feel the service could go a little further.

This is a super special location! For both golfers and vacationers! The service was wonderful and the location absolutely incredible!

All good exept the noise... at 06:15h they start talking at the reception. it depends where your room is, but its too loud for our room and its by far not the closest to the reception. and at 07:00h they start vacuum cleaning the rooms... dont know who checked out at this time... so... whatever your plans are - youll be awake at seven at the latest.

Beautiful spot

The view can no be beat. Its absolutely incredible. The service at the front desk was friendly and honey feeling. I told the gentleman who checked me in it was my honeymoon and he went above and beyond to help a small suprise for my wife. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. It is a little dated but very clean and cute. We ate at the resurant and the food was very good. I look forward to comeing back at some point but make sure to bring your clubs! The course looks beautiful.

The heat couldn t be turned down and it was so hot. The water literally burned my back in the shower, when the temperature suddenly changed half way through, just thankful it wasn t my son having a shower, he would have been seriously hurt.

Loved the location of the resort. You can see wonderful sunsets (and sunrises if youre an early bird). The staff was helpful too. The rooms were clean. But the wifi was a big problem. It kept dropping almost every two minutes which made working frustrating.

If you want to play golf, youre in good hands here. It has the charm of the early 80s. Otherwise you can leave it alone. The only bright spot was Emily at Club19. Thanks for the nice service

Fantastic place. Only complaint is the couch being a davenport isnt very nice to sit on during rain days lol. I wouldnt come back and will definitely suggest it to friends.

The staff are friendly, helpful and readily available. We were very comfortable at the Resort.

Only thing I didnt like was the couch for morning lounging and rainy day reading. Other than that fantastic place.

Beautiful place

Beautiful hotel and facilities, however too high priced to pay for Earwig infestation. They fall out of behind the showerhead while you shower, behind towel racks, and even show up on your bed while you sleep. Upon trying to kill a few around the toilet, we found a toilet completely riddled with black mold on the underside out of eyes reach, as well as the back wall covered in black mold. Not worth over the $200 a night. Breakfast is the typical hotel breakfast you get for free, however they want $19 a plate and it just isnt worth it, and the food simply doesnt reflect a higher quality hotel, it reflects a cheap hotel. In which this is not cheap prices.

Golf club, indoor and outdoor pool, room was clean but old fashion. Parking is away from the building.

The Hotel has everything to be the best hotel in the area as the space is huge and beautiful. If only they would take so much care of the rooms, for example, as they do their golf course. Rooms

Beautiful spot, specially if you like musquitoes...lol. All and all, great experience there for 3 rounds of golf. Very challenging and play long. So if you can whack that ball it is a great course for that. The restaurant was a little limited but had 3 mains and 3 different apps. All of which were excellent.

Great location. Very beautiful. Breakfast buffet 20 bucks an adult and 10 for a kid is a bit excessive though. Two of the best golf courses right next door.

Amazing place. It s in three river town. All is good but they don t have any EV charging points. And resort staff is very snobby and rude.

Very well kept,sprawling with an awesome scenario,facing the Brudenell river. Has a large outdoor swimming pool ,indoor too, badminton court ,golf course .A place where old and young can have a time of their lives.

Resort, cabins and golf courses were great. Cabins were extremely overpriced for what we got. Would have looked elsewhere if it wasnt as last minute as it was for our trip.

When we arrived check-in was an hour + behind and it was not communicated to us properly, so it was a bit frustrating but aside from that our stay was ok. We had reserve a one bedroom with King size bed and a pullout double. The pullout mattress was terrible but we made the best of it. Our room was cleaned daily with daily towel changes. You can opt not to have this daily. Our outdoor balcany furniture was not very clean so we did not use them. We spent most of our time discovering PEI, so we basically only slept there and used the indoor pool. They have a large outdoor pool as well. There is a so called gym but its a small space to the pool entrance with a treadmill sand a bike. Nothing much. There is golf, a campground for tents and trailers, bikes, horses and canoes. You can also park your boat.

Unfortunately not good enough. The place feels old and tired, with room decor and furniture from the 90 s. This meant that my daughter slept on a rickety, sagging pull our sofa bed. My wife and I enjoyed an ancient mattress which bounced the other person off the bed each time the other turned over. The a/c sounded like a 747 spooling up every time it clanked and banged into action. It s not very clean either. It feels like it s had a lifetime of light touch housekeeping but never a proper clean. The photo shows an example of ages of dust waiting for a vacuum. Housekeeping is minimal supposedly for the environment - but not making beds doesn t help the environment. They came in each day and refilled the coffee and hung the towels but didn t do any more than that - for example an empty tissue box stood on the bathroom vanity for our whole stay without ever being replaced or even thrown away. Breakfast is like a Hampton Inn freebie except it s $18 per plate. My wife reported that the spa was good. Unless you re here for the fabulous golf courses, stay elsewhere. It wasn t worth the $1100 the room cost us for 4 nights and we feel cheated.

This hotel gave us the worst experience of all time for two main reasons. First, they have a big big issue. upon arrival at the property, there were at least 15 flies buzzing in the lobby. I didn t see any means of bug repellent or trap used here. The front desk person told us they have both flies and mosquitoes so wear bug repellent. However, I didn t expect to wear repellent in our room! I killed 8 mosquitoes and 1 fly in the night and 3 more mosquitoes the next morning. Most of them already feast on us. Second, the bedding sheets were full of sand. We have been to so many beach resorts around the world and other Rodd brand hotels, never had such issue. Between mosquitoes and sand, no one can have comfortable and relaxing night.

I had a lovely time here. The rooms were nice, the pool (and hot tub!) were enjoyable, and all of the staff were very friendly. However, this hotel definitely shows its age in some areas.

Our experience at check-in was good, as was our service in the restaurant for dinner, however those are the only two positive experiences to note. The indoor pool had bugs all in the bottom and clearly hadn t been cleaned in a while. Our guest room had lightbulbs that were hanging by their wires and posed a serious safety risk, we also found an ancient bag of naan bread tucked behind the microwave. Breakfast at $18 per person is outrageous - most lower quality hotels offer a better breakfast than this for free. When we sat down for breakfast the servers actively discouraged us from ordering anything from their menu and said they like to push people to go for the buffet. $40 for two people for that breakfast is absolute robbery. It s easy to see similar complaints from other guests who have reviewed recently, all with the same standard we will pass this along to our GM response .

Stayed here 5 years ago and it was lovely. Now some unfortunate circumstances. The rooms are terribly outdated and no housekeeping for a 10 day stay!! (at the full service price I paid for the room). They asked us to put garbage outside the room. One evening with full baskets we called the front desk FOUR times to collect the garbage and it didnt happen! On one occasion we purchased insect repellant at the little shop. 30 minutes later I found some in my golf bag and tried to return it at the front desk. Same guy as garbage situation (hefty bearded) refused. He didnt have the authority??? I had to speak to the Manager in the morning??? Keith did authorize the return and said he would look into it. Kids running up and down the hall shouting one evening at 9 pm. Response from front desk quiet time is 10 pm. Not sure why front desk staff doesnt have authority to return a $16 unused item. Television was ancient and didnt work properly. Lots of flies in the room. The staff was good about providing towels. Overall the service needs upgrading and staff needs better training in customer service. The golf courses are lovely. Dear owner you can suggest I am not on your guest list (pseudonym) and thank me for my feedback but what you need to do is improve the operation of your hotel. Next visit to PEI will NOT be at Rodd Brudenell. I. F. To their credit Keith responded to my email in a constructive manner. I should stress the scenery around the resort is beautiful and the golf courses are great.

Really quite disappointing. We were a large group (40) of golfers and it appears that this resort is having some serious managing issues. We had stayed here several years ago and much better experience. Upon checkin the front desk kept arguing with many of us that some of us were booked for the following weekend, this makes no sense as the trip was all booked by one person but they kept insisting that we were wrong. Then they kept bouncing people from cabin to cabin during the stay and they just kept saying see us tmrw and we will figure out your room. There was never an apology of any sort or attempt to show their regret for the all of the problems. The staff in all resort areas were poor and I imagine this is part of the problem with getting people to work these days which many businesses are having issues with. Especially considering the size of the group we should have had an upper management visit. The golf courses were beauty, well kept and the staff on the courses were very good. We had one rude starter but no big issue, he made us all go back and get receipts for our round even know we were staying at the resort and no requirement the day before. Not a big deal and most likely policy but his approach could have been more friendly. This eases easily forgotten once we teed off on the beautiful course. I sure hope they get things together at the resort but I wont be back to find out.

Only played the golf courses .... they both were in outstanding condition. PEIs finest golf was true to form.

Nice place but very outdated. The service at front desk is only ok. We were not advised for the extra payment when I booked. I asked why and was told that they do not mention it when booking? We felt like we were a bother when we asked for more towels and body wash. The room was clean enough. And please change the toilets as they are not meant for tall people !! And the balconies could use a coat of paint on the railings.

The grounds are amazing. Beautiful river, tennis courts, golf, options for horseback riding and kayaking. The only reason its not getting five stars is that the facilities and rooms are really dated and could use a refresh. If you dont intend to stay indoors, would recommend.

Beautiful place and great staff! The view is astonishing and the swimming pool is really relaxing. Great place for pets and children.

Grounds were nice but rooms were tired and dingy. Not up to cleanliness standards of other Rodd properties such as the Charlottetown location. Decided to split our 2 night stay in PEI with one night here and one night in Charlottetown, but we regret it. Indoor pool was small and busy, not enough restrictions in place. The front desk staff were confused and untrained. Overall would not recommend unless the price is great and you have a need for staying in Eastern PEI.

bad beds, staffing was terrible, not helpful at all, bathroom very dark, needs updating, room was cold, set to 60 degrees. indoor pool was in poor condition, restaurant was closed had to go to out to eat.

Fabulous. Every staff person ... Reception, housekeeping, restaurant, golf starter, pro shop, marshall and greens keepers...is a professional ambassador for this resort. Give them all a raise!

Leaving aside the fact that this is not my style of place, I was unpleasantly surprised by the coldness of the staff. That said, I do not blame the staff but the management! They all looked exhausted and they were there in the evening as well as in the morning, which shows a long day of work. Posters everywhere indicated that no verbal violence would be tolerated towards employees...well...if your employees are unpleasant because they are exhausted then the customers are disappointed... Is that is the customer who must adapt? I found the solution a bit surprising! Recruit, or limit the occupancy rate if this is not possible! Im still giving 4 stars here because I was pleasantly surprised by the service and food at the on-site restaurant, Club 19. I was expecting pub food but it was a little more sophisticated than that. .

The golf was fantastic! 2 of us couples could only get 1 room cottages each which was not the problem ( they were actually really nice) however the partying until 3 in the morning all around is was totally unacceptable. No noise control.

This is definitely not the 4 start resort, they claim it to be. To start, our room wasnt ready for 2 hours after we were supposed to check-in. They asked us to roan around the resort or go for a drive and that would call us when it was ready. We decided to try their restaurant and the only 2 things that were remotely interesting on their menu that we wanted to try out was not available. The server we had was really nice. The front desk staff didnt really seem to want to be there or care much about the guests. We didnt even get a call to say that our room was ready; we had to go back there to keep asking. Everytime we passed by the front desk, there was always someone there to put in a complaint. The rooms in the hotel are severely outdated. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool. Neither one of them are maintained. There was sand in the bottom of the indoor pool and the outdoor pool was somehow cooler than the indoor pool and the water was murky. Definitely not a place we would want to waste our money at any time soon.

Our tub was not draining the water and we had to shower with the dirty water around our legs. Reception refused to change the room for us and had no fix for the problem. I am surprised that the resort didnt have maintenance on call and I definitely dont recommend this place.

Beautiful resort. Plenty to do or just relax. You can do both. Room was clean with a balcony view of the pool.

Its a good hotel next to golf course.

Went with a couple that was celebrating there 50th anniversary, the staff helped us improvise a little surprise tost!

Nice hotel resort but not recommended for non-golfers. The trails cannot be used for leisurely walking, strictly for golfers. My dog was allowed at the hotel but I would recommend looking for a different hotel for pets, as the walking area is limited to the parking lot.

Great place to spend time with the family. Very friendly staff, clean rooms with an mini fridge and microwave. Great food and we had the best experience at the restaurant.

Im biased but this a great place filled with great people. Good for families and people with pets, beautiful property, and great food.

Great golf... Extremely dated resort.... Must have been 20+ years ago since theyve changed anything... Was there for a work Conference internet is terrible nobody could connect.
