The shish taouk and shawarma were quite tasty, meat was tender and just salty enough and with the right amount of spice. The garlic sauce is authentic and not like the garlicky mayonnaise which other comparable fares sometimes have. The tabouleh and the chickpeas salad that came with my plate could have been fresher, but we're decent, the beets salad that my mate ordered was quite nice though. All in all, it compares relatively well against it's competition ; the likes of Basha and Amir, especially for the quality of the meat. Service was quite amenable, although the ordering area could probably be more organized in terms of spatial configuration.
Wonderful service and great food! The owner is a family man who takes great pride in this establishment. The ambiance is very welcoming. The restaurant is bright and spacious. Every item was fresh and flavourful! I will definitely return with my family!
I've ordered the shish taouk plate with just one salad. I couldn't pick a second one that interested me. The service was friendly and I got my food within five minutes even though it was a Friday evening. Their dining room is open but without service. So you can sit there and eat but food court style. The portions are generous and it comes with fried potatoes and white rice. Nothing special there. They asked me if I wanted the garlic sauce and the pita bread. Luckily I said yes to the sauce. They give two of them for a reason. The meat is on the dry side. It's got flavour, but I couldn't eat without the sauce. Would I go back? Probably not. There are many good reviews. Maybe I'm just being picky. It did smell very good in the car the whole time. I give 4 stars because of the service. 3 stars for the food.
Great service the owners him self served us food and gave us a welcoming hosting . They have grilled chicken you wont find anywhere with good portions as well. Also they have secret garlic sauce which is garlic mixed with olive oil was delicious. You have to give the desert a try as well it was surprisingly good .

Be careful but when you pay, the interact machine is on 18% tip..... I find that a bit crooked for practically zero service.. Food was excellent, but the bitter taste of this tip which I unfortunately accepted too quickly. Will make sure I think twice before going back.....

WoW ce gyro étais incroyable. J ai été visité la Grèce il y a quelque année et j ai manger beaucoup de gyros et depuis mon retour je n avais trouver aucun qui étais authentique comme ceux en Grèce mais celui si WoW on dirais que j avais retournée en Grèce. Les frite à l intérieur, la viande et la sauce juste parfait. Je recommande a 100%

I just got 3 plates for $43 and thats what I got: a few potatoes, very little chicken and 5 bites of pasta salad. The other 2 plates are worse. Potatoes and a little chicken. I spoke to the owner and all he said was: thank you have a nice day. Thank you Maryse for your response. The person I spoke to confirmed he was the new owner with his father. If Elie would have been an owner, he would never have accepted such a service.

The food isnt that bad, but they dont clean the black beans before serving them. Liquid from the can soaks dishes containing black beans, making them all soggy and difficult to eat

I ordered 2 plates :shish taouk chicken and gyro beef, beef was awful not eatable and it was not pieces of meat but more like over cooked ground beef ...it was first time i ordered from this place and it will be the last...

We came here with a group of Canadian teenagers and we were treated like honored guests. The dishes (mezzes) were very good and the chef helped us choose something to suit all tastes. Thank you Elijah!

The taste is still good, unfortunately, with the recent change of ownership we have noticed a big variation in the offer and the service. We used to go there every week, we even made an agreement with the owner to have the option of taking a childs plate (50% smaller and 50% cheaper). We were delighted with this offer and the customer service was second to none! Then, overnight, no more childrens plates, under the pretext that its the same portion as the adult one I was told well what are 2 potatoes going to be on your plate? ...so in the adults plate there are 4 potatoes?! We still went back, only to realize that our plates (rice and chicken without salad) were now filled 1/4 with rice, 1/4 potatoes, the salad space was simply vacant....basically, we now has the childs portion for the price of adult plates! Its a shame, we loved eating at Elies. Luckily, a competing chain is soon opening its doors at the Carignan crossroads, 5 minutes away!

The food was very tasty and the service was very nice. I recommend this place.
It was okay. But when there are more than 3 people waiting, you dont know where to place your order; there are 2 counters for the 2 specialties, but only 1 place to pay. Sometimes 1 line, sometimes 2 lines, people passing from one line to another, in front of other people... Its hard to know! And the signs on the ceiling order here are confusing, not placed in the right place! I imagine they are new owners and havent finished settling in. At least the food was good.

Good restaurant, fresh I made this review 3 years ago... and it was the case until now... now that they changed the owner, the quality went down. Last time the chicken and the potatoes were dry, pas mangeable! Sorry, we are not coming back.
So happy that the traffic on the 10 (only in Quebec that we close 2 major entrances, Victoria and the tunnel, at the same time) made us decide to stop for dinner, and what a good choice! The shish taouk plate with 2 choices of salad... OMG, as Roald Dahls BGG would say: delicious! The sublime chicken, FAT-FREE, grilled to perfection, the seasoned little potatoes, both tender and crispy, THE RICE, YUM! the 3 salads (between my partner and me) original and super fresh and bonus! The staff is smiling, efficient and courteous. My partners Coke wasnt cold - they were super nice to give him another liquor to replace. Liqueurs in cans, by the way, taste much better than in fountains! And long live Stewarts Key Lime Soda! Well done! So excited to come back with my girls!
Although the taste was very good as usual, since the changes of owners, the prices have increased significantly and the portion has become ridiculous..... the plate was a dessert plate nothing less. They have just lost an old and loyal customer. My colleague was of the same opinion as me.

Excellent restaurant, jamais eu de mauvaise expérience avec une commande, les portions sont généreuses, service rapide et accommodant pour le choix des salades ou des patates a lail (absolument délicieuse en passant). Vous pouvez demander autant de sauce à lail, dhumus et de pain pitas en extra sans vous faire charger pour chaque petit à côté.

A big wow! The food is excellent, they offer a varied choice, the quantities are generous and the owner is so nice that you want to go back just for his kindness. I ordered a Christmas meal from him for my work team last year and not only was the price more than affordable but everyone left with several dishes because the portions were so good.

If there is a must-see restaurant in Chambly it is Chez Elie. The prices are very good but the taste even better. Plus, they have a super interesting range of desserts!
Every time I go for chicken piri there is none. Why dont we remove it from the menu? Its really not like before. Very disappointed.
Quality food
Portions are small. When I buy the 5 choice veggie plate it is very small and dont automatically give the pita bread and hummus unless I ask. I have gone there for years but at 10$ for a small portion I think Im ready to change restaurants now
I highly recommend this restaurant. the portions are good and the food tastes amazing. I dont usually write reviews but this food is really bomb! They even gave us two slices of cake. Even if they only takeout, it is really worth your money to eat their delicious food :)
