Restaurant Au Coin De La Baie in Chambly

Last month I had the chance to celebrate my birthday at this beautiful restaurant. We were a group of 60 and we had the 2nd floor room just for us. An incredible experience! Everything was beyond my expectations: the food was delicious, the cocktails excellent, the atmosphere warm, and the staff simply perfect. A huge thank you to Loïc and Christine, who showed extraordinary patience with the children who were having fun everywhere. Their kindness and professionalism made all the difference. I received nothing but positive feedback from my guests on all aspects of the evening. I highly recommend this establishment for your events or simply for a great outing!

Exorbitant price and terrible service. Group of over 70 and just 3 servers. We served table by table but choice of dish by choice of dish, which means that at the same table (10-12) people had finished their starters and others received their starters. Same thing for the main dishes. Hot rolls on the outside and frozen on the inside. Should always ask for stuff which was missing. Warm meals and especially cold sauces. Uncooked vegetables with other soft ones. Service begins at 6:30 p.m. and coffee served at 10:15 p.m. $70 per person and drink 3 times the SAQ price. Oops we asked for coffee 3 times because it was ultra cold and reheated in the morning like. Not recommended. Im willing to pay but I have to get something in return. 2 people with a bill of $270. (2 meals, 1 bottle of wine and 1 glass of sangria).

A superb place to visit in summer to enjoy the magnificent view of the basin. Although I arrived way too early for my reservation, the staff made a place for me and made me feel welcome. Only 2 non-alcoholic beers are offered... so perhaps a little improvement here on the mocktail side to be made. So I tried the lemon freshness and royal Hawaiian cocktails. 5 We started with the starters: Aloumi cheese fries Duck carpacio. Main course Salmon tartare 2x The cook recommends the tartare. Really beautiful view! I liked the configuration of the outdoor terraces: tables with or without benches, landings; limited menu, however; unfortunately, they dont offer starters like nachos that you can share in the middle of the afternoon...

Nice restaurant however I strongly advise against the paella, it was inedible I left my dish as is which does not seem to have bothered the chef because the waiter went to speak to them in the kitchen. $124 to go eat a sandwich afterwards!

We were there for a friends party. We had the entire 2nd floor with a very beautiful view of the water. Excellent 5-course meal and A1 service.

Beautiful location, tables spaced apart, which gives us great privacy. Most pleasant panorama, adequate service all with a smile and again the love of a job well done, Bravo to our server. In terms of cuisine... chose the (2) shrimp tacos as a starter, nothing more. Beef tartare Excellent, well seasoned, tasty and large portion. Wine list a bit expensive for a decent wine we are talking about $80-$90, not much choice between $40 and $80,

I had a beef tartare, mentioning that it wasnt too spicy with the boboy, my mouth still burns, otherwise it was delicious. Impeccable service thank you Kelly

Wonderful restaurant. We had our wedding reception here. The staff is lovely and they were very accommodating. Food ideas were refreshing.

Expect to be served, as a main course, a walleye with bones sticking into your cheek (as has happened), on a bed of burnt potatoes on the edges, all sprinkled generously with butter. We have to believe that the chef is ignoring the rules of the art of safety and health. This, after at the start of the service, having waited for your table to be cleaned and set up, without serving at least the bread, salt and pepper (which we must have asked for), in addition to Waiting for someone to come take our order, even though the restaurant was not very busy except for some customers who were chatting with the staff at the bar, speaking loudly, since the music was loud. During the meal, as a starter as indicated on the menu: pork rillette with blueberry jam was served to us instead of duck rillette accompanied by cranberry chutney, this without price adjustment on our bill because , you will agree, the price is very different between pork and duck but they did not take this into account. At the end of the meal, a dessert curiously including a soft-boiled egg??? Which we obviously couldnt eat, since it was served with whipped cream on a donut!!! All this for the modest sum of $50 per person, without compensation for inconveniences, in addition to one night spent in the bathroom!!! At least you will be informed and, perhaps, you will be less disappointed than us!? Too bad because the view of the bay is magnificent!

We celebrated my parents wedding anniversary last Saturday and everything was perfect: the food, the room, the service. The guests were charmed by the place. Favorite among other things for the salmon tartare! Thanks to the entire restaurant team

What a magnificent moment lived with my wife, wonderful view and place, relaxing ;) Slight downside regarding the entertainment and the menu: Soft music ((Jazz or others) on the Terrace, maybe even a singer for animate. As for the menu, it would be good to enrich it somewhat, because the choice was still limited. On the other hand, the dishes ordered were delicious ;) We will come back soon and have recommended it to those around us ;) Parking: The parking lot adjoining the restaurant has few spaces, see in the adjacent streets.

Simply brilliant! We had the burrata and melons as a starter, and as a main course: tataki salad and spicy beef tartare. My god, the tartare, what a delight!!! One of the best I have eaten, on a global scale. The marriage of flavors is exquisite, especially in the spicy version. Our new favorite little restaurant in Chambly. Plus, the view is magnificent.

A very unexpected and great end of vacation dinner

Reservation for 4 people for a dinner. I consulted the website the day before, there was a lunchtime table d hôte with acceptable prices for a lunch. Their table dhôte is still displayed as of August 11, 2023. Surprise, when placing the order we were told that there was no lunch table dhôte, an error on their site. Prices are those of the evening. Im happy with 2 small starters given the price of the meals and a dessert. No cafes, and we divide the cost of a bottle of wine by 4. $9.80 each. For a total cost of $78.75 For one dinner. Never again for me.

The best quality of this restaurant is its magnificent terrace. Unfortunately food does not generate the same pleasure. The popcorn shrimp as a starter were horribly bland, my partners dish, beef ravioli (5) not very worthy of a restaurant that offers this plate at this price. For my part, I wanted to have a grilled Cesar salad, a tartare and a Chablis as a starter: unfortunately these three choices were no longer available.... I turned to the mussels marinières ($32). At this price for such a simple dish, I expected a good experience. Unfortunately, failure here too. No taste of white wine but rather an overdose of garlic. The side fries were good though. The service of the girl who took care of the water and our server were pleasant. I was hoping to have a nice evening at this restaurant but unfortunately this was not the case culinary wise. On the terrace side on the other hand, nothing to say, it is magnificent! However, you also have to focus on what you offer on the plate if you want customers to come back. For my part, I will go my way...

Magnificent terrace on the edge of Lake Chambly. The dishes are good but can be a little expensive for what they are.

Fabulous. Extraordinary cuisine with unique flavors and everything was cooked perfectly and original presentation. I highly recommend (better than the Relais and Châteaux restaurants in Quebec)

Great terrace on the waterfront, all the staff were super nice and the food and cocktails were excellent. We will definitely return there on our next bike tour in the area.

We had 3 different dishes and a dessert. Of the 3 dishes, one dish was different from what we expected but was still good. The poutine was not to our taste. The portions are quite small and the prices relatively high.

Disorganization, Disorganization Fiasco This is our wedding reception 50 adults, 15 children, planned and reserved for 1 year The restaurant then forces us to take a 4 course (we wanted 3) $$$ We are made to wait 2 HOURS before receiving the soup as well as some cute breads During this time, at our request, wine is served as desired $$$ Ill spare you the rest... Dessert was finally served to us without our table being emptied no coffee A few lucky people used it themselves Immediately afterwards, that is to say around 11 p.m., the guests began to leave...exhausted, tired So we forget the party itself and everything we had planned OUR WEDDING RECEPTION WAS STOLEN! To top it all off, no kind of empathy in the eyes and mouth of the owner WHAT BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES WE KEEP!!

The managers are not present, it is the employees who are doing their best, poor them. Its been twice, 2 years ago and two weeks ago but for a group hell is cold Long long. They tell us that the cook has COVID-19. Thats not my problem. You must have a plan B!!!!!!!

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at this incredible venue. We chose to have our wedding here for the beautiful waterfront location and the food. Frédéric (the owner) welcomed us to make our special day perfect. Frédéric was also extremely kind to us and made our day perfect. All our guests were delighted with the quality of the food. The servers were excellent and we had so much fun working with them!

An expensive restaurant . The food was not exceptional for the price we paid.

Food was good but lacking variety. You had entre and main dishes that were the same. Main meals had fries or salad or whatever side dish but otherwise the entre menu and main course menu were identical. Except for the steak choice. Venu is very trendy. Charming terrace overlooking the cycle path with magnificent views of the Chambly basin. Excellent stopover for cyclists. Bike racks available. Nice choice of aperitifs and dishes and a nice dessert menu from the neighboring chocolate factory. Attentive service. Friendly staff. Holiday atmosphere!

Very nice view on the terrace. We had the tuna tataki and the beef tartare. The tataki is served without accompaniment and a little too salty. We were disappointed. The tartare is very simple.

Unfortunately, not for me. Nice place, but the food, no! The service was good, the waiter friendly and efficient, but my Margarita was salty, not the edge of the glass, but the drink, the fries were cold, the Caesar salad soggy and the dessert called key lime, had no nothing to do with a real key file.

Pleasant atmosphere. Cesar salad very poorly cut and lacked vinaigrette once cut into pieces and very dry chicken. My partner really liked her beef plate with pepper sauce.

Very disappointing. An hour before our order was taken... My poutine was cold... Our only evening without children... Well go elsewhere next time.

Beautiful setting. Staff very pleasant. Gin cocktail Wonderful appetizer was delicious. Only problem was our main dishes were not ordered by mistake. We left very hungry at a late hour. Must say I will definately give it a second chance.

We passed last Saturday. William the waiter seemed to want to leave our table as quickly as possible. He cannot answer our questions due to the lack of study of his menu. The food was mediocre. I paid $80 for barely edible plates. You have a beautiful building but there is a lack of team spirit. A little advice, review of menu knowledge, mastery of cocktails and courtesy would make all the difference. The hostess seemed awesome! I ended up eating at home because I was still hungry.

Peaceful place, ideal for a drink with friends. Layout and furniture of the terrace could be enhanced taking into account the value of the meals, their quality and the magnificent view of the lake. A beautiful place surrounded by parks, cycle paths and walkers.

When we arrived, a sign told us to wait for someone to assign us a place, after 10 minutes of waiting and seeing waitresses ignoring us, we moved forward to take a table and the customers behind us did likewise. We had to ask for our utensils during service as well as to refill our water glasses several times. The only thing that was good about the food was the presentation. Ridiculously small portions for the price and lacking taste for most of the things ordered. The charcuterie platter had more pecans than meats and was composed of 3 dry sausages, the mussels and the two tartars tasted almost nothing and the stuffed ravioli were dry. Also very poor service, employees spent more time chatting with each other than doing their work. Value for money; not worth it. Maybe it was just a bad night, but the experience makes me not want to go there again.

The decor, the welcome and the impeccable service. The cooking of the cod mackerel and veal ris completely failed. Overcooked, reheated or forgotten by the cook. Good desserts. Way too expensive for the quality of the food served.

Very good food despite the fact that the large plate seems bare when you receive it! Fast service...too much! For a bill of $140. on a Saturday evening, we would expect to be able to relax with a good meal! the coffee stove, the waitress tells us that this is not the usual way of the restaurant, so we didnt get any! 1 1/2 hours after our arrival we were in the car for the return! Surprised, yes, disappointed? Ill let you find the answer!!!

This is a high-end restaurant with excellent food, service and ambiance. Limited menu but with great selections. We were having a wake with a large group and the food and drinks were still served in a timely manner. Recommend it for a romantic dinner for two or a family get-together. Pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful place and pretty terrace with a view of the bay! Their tartare is delicious and their white sangria delicious. Courteous and fast service. Respect for social distancing and no menu card (to look on your phone) - which is a plus and consistent with current measures. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. To recommend without hesitation!!!
