5304 Yacht Haven Grande, St Thomas 00802, U.S. Virgin Islands
Now open in Yacht Haven Grande
The only thing I can say that was good is the food. Service is bad. They only had one waitress for all the tables. She had 8 tables that night being served by her. The bar tender finally started helping. Piss poor service for one of the higher priced restaurants here. Location is good if you can get over the crap music playing over and over. When it takes you two hours to be served and eat, the music gets old. The desert was bad.
Good place for dinner. Food was good the only thing was the grilled octopus had a funky smell but good at taste. The restaurant has great view of the dock and yachts.
This was the only good part of our stay in St Thomas. Jackson was very friendly and suggested some food to us. We came here for our last two days; it’s a nice quiet environment, and you get a good view of the pierre/docks. Forgot to take pictures of the iguanas that hung around. They didn’t bother us so don’t worry
Super restaurant! First, you have a nice view. Second you have really good food ! I didn't expect much from this restaurant but everything was tasty, good and fresh ! It's a little bit expensive for what it is but it's very good ! People were super nice, nothing to say about that.
Jackson was a great server, and made great recommendations. If you in St. Thomas visiting from St. Croix, and you like great food along with beautiful views of the marina & ambiance-look no more. The seafood dip(lobster & shrimp) was delicious
A great restaurant, so much so that we visited twice. On both occasions, we had the same waitress (unfortunately, I can't recall her name), but she was incredibly attentive each time. Beautiful views of the yachts in the marina, including Jeff Bezos' 'The Koru'. If you are into seafood, try the octopus, you won't be disappointed. The 13 Restaurant is highly recommended. Happy Traveling!
Only one server on, so we waited a bit to be seated but quickly remembered we were on island time. Seated and ordered one of the specials; Southwestern Burger. Top 3 burgers of my life. Cooked medium rare and temp was perfect. Came with Gouda, bacon, pico, mild jalapenos...... maybe avocado (I can't recall). Server was extremely personable, beer was cold, and the view was great.
Had a delightful experience here. We had a wonderful table, located on the water, with views of all the docked sailboats. Very pretty at night. Our server, Amber, was friendly and engaging, always with a smile, no matter how busy she was. The food presented and prepared beautifully and tastefully. I recommend the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Cookie Skillet to share. Fun eveing. We'll be back!!
Awesome food with stunning views and lets not forget the excellent bartender, Stephanie!!!
Shared apps and entree for an early dinner. Service was excellent! Really enjoyed the seafood dip but would have preferred less crispy bread. Both the calamari and the house salad were very good, as well as the ribeye dinner and the drinks. Happy with all items and attentiveness of friendly waiter (can t recall his name). I even liked the oldies playlist!
Nice restaurant. We even had lunch dates
Out of a lot of items. Not made aware of somethings until food arrived. Chicken fried Chicken was rubber. Sent out appetizer as a dinner with all the things missing and charged dinner price.
Great lunch and sangria the first day here! Our server was great and we got to watch the fish while we were eating. Would go back!
Very excellent service delicious food.
Our group (4 adults, 1 toddler) went in for Sunday brunch. We arrived right at 10 when they opened and were the first in the restaurant for the first several minutes. Our server came over and offered us water - still, tap, or sparkling. We asked for tap but when we got the bill were charged for still. She said that it was the perfect amount for us each to have a glass. 1 glass, and we were never offered any more when we were out. Mind you it was 90 degrees and our entire time at the restaurant was about 90 minutes. My toddler was also never offered water or any beverage. It was another 15 min after the water came before she asked if we want to order food or other drinks. We ordered a round of drinks and our food. Another 20 min and she never once came back to check on us. We eventually walked up to the bartender to order a second round. We saw our food sitting on the counter, but it would be another 10+ min before it made its way to our table, some of which was too cold to eat. We sent it back. Our server did not come back until our plates were empty to ask if we need anything and we just took to check. No apology for any delays, the issues with food, or the water discrepancy. Every restaurant can have a bad day but simply checking by our table or the slightest apology would have gone a long way with us. We come to the island often but I would never return here. We tried to email the owners before posting this review, as the email is posted on the building, but it bounced lol. So here we are. The only stars are for the food that was warm was delicious. Too bad the service was extremely terrible.
The worst brunch Ive had.
Very disappointing dinner. Slow service, missing wine choices and poor entrees. The shrimp and grits was nothing like real shrimp and grits. Had to ask for water four times in a nearly empty restaurant. I would not go back.
Its my favorite restaurant on island. I eat here very often. Vegetarian options: Look at the new menu I provided. Kid-friendliness: Have the kids stools. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and options on where to sit.
It was good, but not really good. A little overpriced, but a good atmosphere and our server was very friendly and helpful. Right by the water, so we watched the cruise ships leave port which was fun. The regular burger was fine, but the chicken burger was really good. A little forgettable maybe, but good enough for dinner.
Party of 10. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for food. Shrimp and grits extremely salty and too much sauce so looked like soup. Chicken sandwich breading was burnt and wheatberry bread was almost burnt and very hard & my mom could not eat it. Hot chicken & waffles were very good. Steak & eggs was cooked very well, but steak was very small (definitely not 8 ounces) and was not filling. Salmon salad was all salmon and only slivers of vegetables. Country fried breakfast was good & my dad enjoyed it. Overall an inconsistent experience. Will not be going back there.
Lunch, had the house salad, & seafood dip, very delicious.
Great lunch and Brunch!
Waited at our table for 15 minutes with 2 toddlers and never even received service. No idea how this place stays in business.
Hadn t been here since 2017 and came last week. Sooo glad we did! Jackson was our server and he was awesome; made some great recommendations that we loved. For appetizers we had the fried green tomatoes and the harvest salad and they were outstanding. I had the scallops and hubby had the chicken fried chicken and both were to die for. We loved it so much we asked Jackson to make another reservation for us while we were eating and we re going back tonight. It s a nice, relaxing atmosphere here with super tasty food and a lovely view of the harbor with those super yachts. Don t miss an opportunity to dine here. It s truly delicious!
Been trying the octopus (5Times) the last was the best. Usually a little over half way from the tip of the tentacle to the base it gets tough. Last time it was spot on perfect. Parking: There are only four handicapped parking spots and the ones by the VIYA offices usually have a non handicapped vehicle in them or someone parks in the middle of the two. Theyre just in for a moment or a delivery truck blocking the handicapped ramp and they dont want to talk to anyone, theyre taxi abs for food and such, they can park anywhere. ( there are three times the number of taxi spots compared to the handicapped) Wheelchair accessibility: In the restaurant, no problem.
Steak was disaster the chef never came out when I asked for him to see what kind of steak he did serve to us.
This is a serene little waterfront restaurant, we loved it!. The Shrimp and grits was to die for
Way understaffed. No manager. Food was overcooked and mediocre. Drinks were not very good. Wouldnt go again.
Mediocre food. Awful cocktails, terrible service.
Food was tasty, but $40 for 2 scallops is a bit steep
Had terrible service the last time we visited. Just two tables but they brought the wrong food out, picked one plate back up to take to another table but left the other so one person had their food while the other 11 people sat there. Ordered online tonight hours in advance, was not ready and could not wait around for it and couldn t get an accurate time as to when it would be done so we left with no refund. Will not return.
We went for Valentine s Day/my fiancés birthday since it s the same day. I called ahead to make reservations and I ordered for a special dessert to say happy birthday and I gave my card number over the phone because my fiancé never lets me pay. None of this even happened, portions were small and my fiancé ended up paying for our meal and the happy birthday dessert never came out. Really disappointed!
Long, long wait for our food to come out. Burger was ok, but it was no longer hot when I tasted it.
Definitely recommending !!! Beautiful view, great drinks and very tasty desserts
13 is really superb with delicious Southern specialties. Absolute standouts for me were the grilled octopus and the shrimp and grits. Service was also kind and helpful.
Amazing staff The Chef is impeccable!! Definitely a must!
Our trip in St. Thomas hasn t been very friendly So far this is the most nicest place we have been to, we were welcomed by everyone and everyone was beyond kind. Food looks and taste amazing. Ask for Amanda!!!!
On the dock side of Havensight, great southern fare! Great service and enjoyed the atmosphere. Give it a whirl
Had the cedar plank salmon..... delicious We had the banana chocolate roll and it was yummy. I would definitely return. Food
My husband and I love this place- great location and delicious food! The steak, caesar salad, calamari and drinks are always on point! One of our favorite spots!
We went for brunch on Sunday and waited about an hour and a half before calling it quits. It initially appeared to be busy. There was no host but a server came by 3 times during our wait to tell us someone would be right with us. Place emptied out, maybe 6 tables had customers while were still waiting outside. Right before leaving we attempted eye contact with several servers passing by, including the one who told us they d be right withs us, and were completely ignored. Definitely need to improve customer service. I would not have waited so long if i d be given a heads up on the wait but unfortunately we were barely acknowledged.
Came on a Sunday with party of 3 and arrived around 12:15. No host, server came 25 min after we arrived to say they would be right with the people waiting outside. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told mo food is being served there, we did see two couples getting food. 45 mins into waiting and Sever comes back and sits the people in front of us, asks us how many we are and asks the people behind us whom had a party of 2. Server proceeds to sit the party of 2 that arrived after us and told us they would be right with us. Restaurant had plenty of tables available. Another 20 mins went by, no server to sit us and party of 2 that arrived after us was already placing their order. We left. Also noticed they add a 20% service fee to all tabs as per menu at entrance(picture uploaded for reference) with the service received without even sitting down, I would never leave a 20%. Would not recommend unless you enjoy this kind of service. Good luck.
Great spot on the water. Pear salad and burger were delicious. All super fresh. Server was lovely. Super friendly and super accommodating with our food allergies.
They took our take out order and said it would be ready in 30 mins. We waited 1 hr and 15 mins. On top of that the order was all messed up! The food was mediocre at best.
Tonight my husband and I went to 13 for the first time and were really impressed. The service, ambiance, and food were outstanding. I had the Chicken fried chicken , which was very tender and flavorful. My husband enjoyed the Merlot Chicken and joked and told the waitress that he d like another dinner to go- really special. We both shared a special desert made of banana, wrapped in a chocolate and fried in a egg roll with cinnamon sugar and topped with ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries and caramel glaze. Definitely will be sure to dine at 13 several times next year when we vacation in St.Thomas for 4 weeks. I strongly suggest you try dining at 13, you will not be disappointed.
Awesome spot on the water in Yacht Haven Grande. Service was sub par for a not overly busy Wednesday evening. Hostess was also our server. Food was OK but not amazing or anything special. Seafood dip appetizer was the highlight of our meal.
I came by with my wife for a 7:30pm dinner reservation on a Friday. It was a moderately busy evening with a handful of tables still empty. The food itself is quite good. We had the lobster special and the hickory steak, both of which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the experience wasn t as enjoyable as it could have been due to some service issues. Our server checked in with us sparingly, and whenever she did, she seemed to have forgotten what we asked for. We had to remind our server repeatedly for silverware, tap water, and drinks. As a result, we found ourselves seeking other staff for assistance. We received our entreés quickly enough, but without the drinks or tap water. Our plates were not cleared promptly after we finished eating. We asked for the check, then we reminded our server after waiting a while, then we approached a different staff member for help. When we finally received the check, it was incorrect. We enjoyed our evening overall, but the poor service here detracted from the experience. We were seated for two hours. I think that 13 could be a great restaurant with better floor management and training.
Food was horrible, service was terrible! We had a reservation and was sat immediately however a waitress never showed up. We had to request a waitress to come take our order and drinks. We had to flag our waitress the entire night. Our drinks came after 45 minutes of us waiting. As a local I would never come back to this establishment only if I want to taste expense food that taste horrible! Also the staff isn t attentive! Ruined my Valentines Day. .
Best food and service of the trip!
Loved everything about this place. From the minute i saw it up to the food everything is spot on. I tried the strawberry patch which is amazing and the grilled octopus which again was a great choice. Only regret is thar i discover yall too late. But i will be back. Oh... And i asked for a mojito which was, of course, very good
Amazing food Amazing presentation so so delicious
This is one of the best meals we ve had on the island. It wasn t very busy due to weather. The food and drinks were top notch and the view was beautiful. We tried the ribeye, salmon and scallops and loved them all. Drinks we had the mint julep, lemon pie martini, watermelon smash and espresso martini. All were yummy!!! We d definitely return and highly recommend 13.
The food was tasty, but the salt levels in some dishes were a bit high. The food is pricy too. The customer service was welcoming. The outside seating at lunchtime was way too warm for me, and I do not recall seeing any outdoor fans to help keep guests cool in this summer heat.
Great food, view & ambiance
An excellent meal in a fabulous environment for our last meal on the island. Sunday brunch was delicious!
Chef Tully is amazing! His handmade food is exquisite to look at and taste wonderful! The view on the water is so pretty with big yachts just feet away.
Our lunch was the best! We started with a refreshing Peach Smash, Mussels to die for, and a delectable Seafood Dip. I cant say enough about the Shrimp & Grits, my new all time favorite, and the Chicken Fried sandwich and Blackened Chicken Salad were amazing. Lovely service, and amazing views on the dock.
Had a great meal here! Awesome location on the water and the food is wonderful. Would recommend.
Had a great brunch! Check it out
Beautiful experience, brunch was delicious, Bloody Mary with jalapeños bacon on top, did I mention unlimited MIMOSAS bar. View is great nice Caribbean breezes. You should stop and chat with Todd the bartender.
Fairly decent restaurant on the island. Beats 9/10 of them. Highly recommended.
Really a great little dockside cafe. The staff was all really delightful and professional. I had the Shrimp and Grits, and it was amazing. They have a very nice bar, and awesome views of the large yachts docked in the bay. I was worried it would be extremely overpriced and expensive because of the proximity to the marina, but it was very fairly priced and relatively inexpensive. I recommend making a reservation.
A great find and not too expensive for St. Thomas.
Would have loved to try this restaurant for Sunday Brunch, tried to make a reservation online and no response. Hours said 9 to 2 on both website and the sign outside. Talked with staff member at 9am who said they don t open till 10 and just haven t changed the sign.
Great Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas!
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Great experience
Food was good and they had some unique combinations of spices and flavors.
Appreciated the caramelized walnut medley on a made-to-order ribeye. Great service matching a great view.
Did Togo order Christian was great and the food was excellent.
Best restaurant on the north side by a proverbial landslide. It s a small, but extremely talent & friendly crew. Take a dip & get the seafood dip. The cedar plank salmon is also a food revelation.
A nice oasis on the north side. Creative menu, fun/friendly staff, great view
Absolutely perfect food, atmosphere & staff! Thoroughly enjoyed eating here on our vacation!
Food was fantastic, but service was subpar at best.
Amazing restaurant. Creative menu and inspired dishes. On the mainland, chef could charge $60/plate for this type of food. As it is, he brings it at a reasonably affordable price. The drink menu is apparently rotating, but their signature blackberry and Stoli cocktail is worth a try. The stoned waitress that forgot about our table was a little disappointing.
We had a delicious dinner. The staff was very nice and the place was very cute . We enjoyed the evening
Fabulous atmosphere and food. Kudos
My fiance and I came here last year to celebrate getting engaged.Food and service was topnotch!! We cant wait to come back this year on our honeymoon and visit the new location!
This Yacht Haven Grand restuarant is the perfect spot dine. The salmon, shrimp and grits, and lobster roll were excellent. Chef took time to check on our table and the staff was attentive. Well be back!
The food was immaculate and the service was incredible. Shoutout to Chef Wilson who presented an outstanding menu and fantastic spirit. Could not recommend this restaurant more!
Terrific location, incredible food, perfect service. Also, if youre lucky, you can peek through to the back of the kitchen and see me washing your dishes!
Went for Sunday brunch and we unfortunately got the worst waitress here Donna- if she moved any slower she d be standing still. And her personality and customer service skills were equally as nonexistent- we asked for the hashbrowns to be well done and she replied all I can do is ask them. Her green uniform top was filthy. Ordered the farm breakfast - hash casserole is inedible, sausage under cooked and bacon overcooked. Up charge for egg whites. French toast are small 3 inch pieces, not properly soaked, the berries - turned out to be just strawberries (they forgot to update the menu the waitress said). Food 3, service 0. Other waitresses were on the ball.
Very nice restaurant. I thought it took a very long time to get our food. They were busy but seemed excessively long. Food was good. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. However they were out of a few items when we placed our order.
Waited 20 minutes to be sat. Once seated and received the menus, we decided on what we wanted. The waiter came back to take the order and said we dont have 2 of the main things we came for. Therefore, we got something else. She came back and said we dont have it either. Food was nothing to talk about about and 2 different patrons were coughing the whole night.
food is always fresh and seasoned perfect, never had anything i didn t love - couldn t rave more about it. best burger in st thomas by far
Today, 11 amazing people and I had dinner for Thanksgiving. The food was amazing and by far the best pecan pie ever. The service was on point. Please support local businesses we need to keep great restaurants here!! Parking: Plenty of space.
Average food; service was good but there was an outdoor aerobics class going on across from the restaurant during dinner with loud dance music blaring which drowned out the restaurants music and made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Dine at your own risk.
Omg the food was awesome like always Drinks were great. View was great over the harbor staff was awesome and chief was off the charts. So glad you have moved more central to everyone. Look forward to next year Parking: Easy location to get to. No problem with parking or taking taxi Kid-friendliness: Love everyone Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs
Best food on St Tommy!!
Amazing experience, my Christmas Gathering was Epic.
Would love to say we enjoyed our visit. The plce seemed to be maybe 1/4 occupid. Our group of four waited at the reception area for 10 min and there was no receptionist to be seen. When one finally showed she. asked us to wait till she bussed a table. another 10 minutes and she showed us to a table. After we were seated she said the server would be with us soon. 17 minutes later the server had yet to show and we were being ignored by all the staff. We stood up and left. No staff spoke to us on the way out. This was Saturday Dec 3. about 1pm
OMG!! Chef Tully is spot on! Its in the details! His attention to not just the overall presentation but the flavor combinations, the unique twist he adds to every dish makes for a memorable experience that keeps us coming back and again! The view, Yacht Haven Grande, it just the icing on the cake. Well done Chef Tully!
Fantastic place to dine!! Chef Tully and the whole staff Amazing!! Food consistently AMAZING!! I Can say this our go too and the best experience!! Hands down one of the best places to dine and will not be disappointed. Thank you 13 staff for making this one of the best place to dine.
Very poor service . Waited 2 hours to get food . Service was slow
I have not had dinner here yet, will update when I do. I can say though that it was a great brunch. I would probably give 4.5 stars overall as the ham was a bit on the salty side, but the bloody Mary, and the homemade cinnamon rolls are fantastic. eggs on the benedict were cooked well, the salad was great, very green. There are some other items as well on the brunch menu I would like to try so I will be back again for brunch, but hopefully dinner first this week. From an environment standpoint it was just great, the views were nice, the place was casual but still had some decent touches to make it a bit more upscale to match the food and price point. Compared to the food I have had so far on the island you can tell a lot of care went into it. Overall I would say great food if just a bit less salt was used, but I would not let that stop me from coming back. If you live on the island and have not been you might end up making this a regular. spot. If you are visiting and dont mind leaving the cost for a bit out mountains this is probably one not to miss. Service was great as well. If you like this review please thumbs up as I am trying to win a bet. Thanks!
The food is fresh and great quality. The food tastes great. The salmon was cooked and seasoned beautifully, the guacamole was fresh and generous in portion, the pot roast was soft and well cooked, super flavorful and tender. Definitely recommend.
Drinks where great food was even better... Brunch has ENDLESS MIMOSAS.
I absolutely cannot rave sufficiently about restaurant 13 and Chef Tully. We ate at multiple restaurants on the island and 13 blew them all away. We did not try everything on the menu but went multiple times and everything we tried was absolutely phenomenal! I cannot recommend more highly!!!!
Is good. Call first the Pizza is good and the menu
This is a a must for brunch on St Thomas. The portions are hearty, the view and artwork are beautiful, and the service is excellent. Go here before spending the rest of the day at Magens Bay. Bottomless Bloody Mary s and mimosas. Try the fried green tomatoes.
Myself, along with five friends went to 13 for a Galentines dinner, and were pleased from beginning to end! We were greeted by Christian who was warm and kind, and he offered personal recommendations for wine. The food was extraordinary!! And one of our desserts was a cinnamon roll bread pudding that was just divine. It s clear that Chef Tully puts a lot of thought and artistry into making these dishes unforgettable. If you are on the fence about visiting 13, then I say go. Make sure you ask for detailed directions when you make your reservation, or put Nidals grocery into the Waze app so that you can find it at the top of the mountain.
The food was great. The waitress, not so much! She was polite but everything was incredibly slow, she was only managing 4 tables so I would be surprised if it was being overworked. We had the majority of our lobster and steak boxed as we just couldnt finish, we waited around after paying the check, we even had the gentleman server take photos of us, and still our boxed food never came back to the table. We ordered a glass of wine and waited 15 minutes for it. App came out promptly but long wait for entree. Overall, gentleman server was very efficient, he didnt serve us but a table next to us and his description of the specials and of the menu was stellar! The chef did a wonderful job and we really appreciated him com ok ng to the table after the meal, nice touch.
Christain the host did a great job! The chef did amazing!!!! Our waitress could have been a little more attentive but I understand they were short staffed. Overall I would definitely be back! Great food. Scratch that... Amazing food!!!
Amazing hidden gem in the hills of St. Thomas. Very relaxed atmosphere with amazing food. We were looking for something that was a little nicer than most places with typical bar food/burgers, and this hit the nail on the head. My girlfriend had the strawberry/goat cheese salad, it was amazing! The surf and turf was good too. Maybe we were just in a laise faire mood, as the service may have been a little slow considering there were only a handful of other tables, we enjoyed the view while we waited and didnt mind at all!
Disappointing brunch. I had to send my eggs back , and they returned with one barely cooked, and the other broken yolk hard (I requested over medium). I ate them, but it wasnt what I ordered at all; we all know how risky it is to send food back once, let alone twice. Water is $6 at this time. Expensive; fair view, fair service.
After driving up a winding, dangerous hill, and waiting to be seated, the host at the front refused us service because a large party came in. They were rude and very pretentious! The chef was going to come out and talk to us and then didnt. Do not eat here!! I also heard the food was not tasty
Hidden gem on the north side of the island. The best chicken sandwich I ve had in my life. And one of the top meals of our trip. I felt bad for the server she was working the whole place by herself so it took a bit of time but she was very attentive. Highly recommend reservations
Very good food!
Great food and excellent view! The steam pot special is worth the $75 and was enough for 2 people.
Food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The salmon was one of the best Ive ever had.
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. The mussels I had as an appetizer were the best I ve ever had and that is saying a lot. Wife had the chicken in a red wine reduction and it was also excellent. Apparently, new ownership took over and open back up in August 2020. They remodeled, new chef and new menu. The atmosphere is bright, open and airy and yet cozy, with some fantastic views. Christian was an attentive waiter and the chef came out and spoke with us too. Go there and enjoy it as much as we did.
Simple Amazing! This was by far, the best food experience we had in all three virgin islands. Hidden on the top of a mountain, the drive is definitely worth the experience. The food was excellent, married that with phenomenal service and a warm island breeze, makes for the perfect evening. We had the crab claw special which brought over 9 big claws for only $20!!! The pot roast and the shrimp and grits are to die for! we ended the meal with their bread pudding that was magical. Definitely our number one choice when we return to the islands.
Amazing staff! The food & views spectacular also
Ok
Great food on the north side of St Thomas.
OMG!....the food here is amazing, a must to have lunch or dinner..view is great..Chef Tully is the best, he hand makes everything, you have to try..you wont be sorry
This is my first time visiting St Thomas and we have had a hard time finding a nice local restaurant that doesn t keep you waiting on Island Time . Very friendly staff, Christian waited on us and he was pleasant and always had a smile. They have the most amazing food here and what a view! From top tier burgers to the most perfect seared scallops and refreshing drinks and comforting atmosphere, I really want to visit again before we head home. Delicious! Their chef knows what he is doing, and cooks with love and art
Only one word describes 13 Restaurant: Outstanding! During our week on the island we ate dinner there twice and brunch once. Everything we had was incredible. Christian did an outstanding job waiting on us and recommended some wonderful wine! We will be sure to go back when we visit St. Thomas.
Consistently good food with a lovely environment and staff. Wine selection is pretty solid too. They can get very busy on weekend evenings and Sunday brunch (cinnamon roll = addicted!!). Reservations and take out available.
A little hidden gem up the mountain. Came here twice while visiting the island. Our favorite appetizer was the octopus. It was paired well with some savory potatoes. We also had the mussels, but mussels are never bad in a butter sauce. If octopus is out of your comfort zone, get the mussels. Not Your Mothers Tuna Fish sandwich was my husbands favorite. Everything in the sandwich was paired perfectly with the tuna. He got it both times he ate here so it should tell you its a great sandwich. I had the Merlot Chicken. I love a red wine sauce, so this dish was a no-brainer for me. The spinach, onions, and mushrooms all helped accentuate the sauce with every bite of chicken.
Was what I needed.
We had brunch here and it was our favorite meal on the island. Everything was so good, well thought out, and generously portioned. Unfortunately, they were closed for dinner on the last two nights before we returned home, otherwise we were ready to eat here again. The view is also amazing which is the cherry on top.
Food is good, but prices are too high. The four of us had chicken wings, mussels, burgers, chicken sandwiches, beverages, and flat water. The flat water was especially expensive, even for St. Thomas.
Awesome atmosphere and really good food. Three of us made a reservation for dinner (reservations are a good thing!). One of us ordered a chicken sandwich, one of us ordered the Dixie fish fry, and one of us ordered the nightly special which was New Orleans pasta . All three dishes were very good and all of them provided far more food than expected. Generous portions. We also ordered appetizers The steak sliders were amazing! Definitely a worthwhile meal and we will be back.
What a great place. Tully, the executive chef, makes some of the best food on the island and is a great personality to meet. You have to try Christains spin on the island drink the painkiller, he uses cherry juice instead of nutmeg and its so good! This restaurant has a beautiful view as well.
I cant put in to words how good this place is, it may be the best restaurant Ive ever been to! We didnt have a single bad thing to say about the food. The mussels are the best Ive ever had (being from Florida Ive had many) the steak was perfectly done, the lamb, the potatoes, the scallops, everything tastes like it came from a five star restaurant. Try the espresso martini made by Christian, and definitely splurge for the house made desserts. The chef has an open door policy so be sure to stop in and say hi on your way out. The ambiance is classy yet welcoming, and the service was top notch from start to finish. I couldnt recommend this place enough. We were also dining with some Celiacs folks, and the kitchen knowledge of their allergens on the menu and gluten free options was the best weve had on the island. Reserve a spot to guarantee a seat as their dining fills up quick for obvious reasons. 11/10!
Don t let the exterior fool you: Can t judge a book by its cover, as they say! Fabulous dining experience! Great service Christian and Beth, wonderful atmosphere, and amazeballs food! Highly recommend especially for the STT northsiders!
Great food
Food was amazing. Staff was great def recommend
Had great service, the food was perfect, I think it was the best food spot during our week visit. I would definitely come back. Highly recommend this spot.
I will forever dream about this meal. We d been on the island for four days already and hadn t been fully satisfied by a meal. All the food we d had was good, but not great. However, locals from every part of the island said we HAD to try 13. I was skeptical because it was just American food but DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE. It was seriously perfect, delicious/to die for from start to finish. Add that to the beautiful view from the restaurant and super kind owner, waiter and chef! To start we shared the mussels and the pear salad. You know how you can have mussels and the mussels themselves are good but the broth is just meh? Well this broth we wanted to take home to drink it was PERFECT. Mussels were cooked beautifully, too and it didn t even matter the bread wasn t fancy (nothing to write home about) because it soaked up the broth so good. But as incredible as those were I cannot say enough good thing about the friggin pear salad. If I could eat something every day, I would have this salad. I ve never had such amazing blue cheese in my life and I don t even normally like cheese. The arugula and spinach were so fresh, the vinaigrette I can t even describe but also delightful and the pears were unreal. I don t even have words, y all this salad is foodgasmic. I personally had to scallops and it wasn t enough because my tastebuds wanted more!!! The squash purée was slightly sweet with the cranberry on top, plus salty roasted vegetables and perfectly cooked scallops, ugh omg my mouth is watering thinking about it. As for the cinnamon roll bread pudding (which may not be available it was a special), basically take a churro in the form of bread pudding and make it UNREAL. Homemade ice cream too. Crunchy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside. So yeah all that to say, if you re visiting the Virgin Islands and you don t go here you did vacation wrong (or you don t like food).
Hands down the best brunch, grits, and bloody Mary on the island. Get the shrimp and grits!... your welcome
Fantastic voodoo and service with a great view
The location was very nice and clean. The service was great. The food was the best we had all week.
What a gem in a surprising location. Excellent chef creations with fresh ingredients and delightful combinations. I enjoyed the sea scallops, which were cooked perfectly, on top of a butternut squash puree and crisp-tender veggies. Tasty cocktails and delectable desserts. Highly recommended.
Delicious, beautiful food. Best salmon weve ever had. The service was excellent. Our server was simply charming and I wish we could be friends!! We will definitely be returning. We stopped in for pizza which is carry out only. Decided to stay for dinner and even though we were way underdressed we felt very welcomed! So happy to have ordered from the menu and one of the nightly specials (salmon). Cant wait for a return trip!!! A++
Had the best island meal in this restaurant! We were worried about the place being too fancy but as soon as we stepped in, our server, Christian, made us feel right at home. His food and drinks suggestions hit the right foodie spots (the Burberry, which was his own concoction, was so good - I can actually sip on this while on the beach the whole day) What we ordered (food): octopus, scallops, chicken fried chicken, banana choco rolls - all of which are outstanding! Applause to the chef for these dishes. (drinks): Burberry, Lemon Cream Pie, and Coconut Mint Julep - the last two being really good dessert cocktails! This place is definitely worth the long and winding drive. Great food, good ambience, and 5-star service. We left with full and happy bellies :) Be sure to arrive early so that you can get the best spots in the house and beat the dinner rush!
Amazing, we stumbled upon this gem while driving around on a Sunday and they fit us in for brunch. We are from Alabama and felt like home with their authentic southern dishes and a beautiful view. Every. Single. Dish. was amazing!
Excellent restaurant
Had the Gumbo and Cedar Plank Salmon which were both excellent!!
Went there years ago; bit pricy but food was good; amazing ambiance..now shut down:(
Hey....they havent been open since the 2017 hurricanes. Irma and Maria. However, they are now making repairs, renovating the place. When it was opened, parking was terrible, but the food and atmosphere was very nice. We are waiting for its return. Hopefully before hurricane season and COVID-19 takes its dance of completely shutting us down again, as we continue to spike. 13 is hopeful, they are moving on...13 restaurant savory meals are needed!
Excellent service and atmosphere, the food was the best I ve had since I ve been on island. Can t wait to try everything on their menu!
We loved the food, service, and ambiance! I totally recommend!
Amazing southern inspired food, great staff delicious cocktails!! Cant wait to go back and try othed dishes from them. I had the shrimp and grits !!! Amazeballs best I ever had.
View and food was great service was great as well. Wouldve like something to help with the open concept. Had a late dinner and the bugs started flying in.
Wow ! Freshly renovated ! Trust me order the lamb !! Well balanced dish with the sweet potato. Congratulations to the chef ! Can not wait to return. Staff eager to please and flavor of the food was spectacular. My new favorite restaurant in st thomas. I will remember to take pics next time !
Went there for a simple meal of pizza for carry-out. Got home and very disappointed. Greek pizza was beyond very salty, this is the one everyone at our house was so excited for (No one finished 2 bites) oh and there was no tzatziki sauce. Christine was our second pizza, something was wrong with the Alfredo sauce. It was chunky and tasted off. Finally the cheese and bacon pizza, what do you guys think? That one is GONE. Everyones favorite. All of them featured a super thin crust with no flavor. This definitely needs work. We were all waiting for months for them to reopen and our first experience was not great.
This was my first time dining at 13 and I was impressed. Great experience, great service, great food! Big up to Evan.
A hidden gem. Unique, well thought-out menu. High-end, southern style comfort food. We had 2 excellent salads, tuna sandwich (for dinner!)and scallops with a butternut squash mash that has inspired us to try to recreate it for Thanksgiving us mashed potatoe substitute.
Delicious Food. Excellent Service. Best dessert menu. Amazing Views.
The food
Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Really hard to find with very limited parking. Good service with interesting food. Some creative dishes. My friends loved the truffle flat bread. Good bar. Update 2019: new chef and owner. Food is even better with sophisticated dishes. Worth the journey Facility is open air and rough worn.
Two thumbs up.
Great pizza
Nice intimate time...ate in the dining room..not too crowded..great service..food was very good with nice presentation. ..will go again. ...thank you...
Plan on spending a full evening there because the service is extremely slow. The food was passable, not as good as it used to be. The steaks were done to the proper temperature, but for rib eyes, they were tough. The pasta with lobster had little taste. The best part were the apps. Long time patrons for many years. Dont plan on returning any time soon. 7:45 reservations and got our main courses at 9:26! Only 3 tables taken on the dining room. New owners perhaps?
Nice ambiance! Pizza is good!
Amazing food amazing place
Excellent pizzas
Amazing!!!!
Fantastic food and waitstaff, I had the grouper and my girlfriend had the lamb. Both excellent. A+
Excellent fine dining! Takes alittle while but the apps are great. The views froms the balcony are spectacular! The night breezes and the sounds of the forest really give this place a secluded feel. Parking is tricky.
Nice and quite, reasonable prices and a good wine list
Great Customer Service! The food was amazing!
The food is amazing and is a great price for the quality. The service is fantastic at the bar, ask for Scarlet!
Great place for friends to gather, views are remarkable
Excellent food and staff!
Very nice restaurant- the outside of the building is not indicative of the inside. All of the food was tasty. I would have given it 5 stars if the service was a little faster.
