We specialize in authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza. In our world, authenticity is big. Our pizzaiolo use ingredients and procedures regulated by the Italian governing association (VPN)—so you experience a "true" pizza like you would find in the energetic pizzerias in Naples, Italy (but without the airfare). We offer many other types of Italian dishes, including appetizers, salads, pasta, and delectable desserts. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten friendly options are available. Try our $15 lunch special – a customer favourite, featuring a 9" pizza plus a side soup or salad – available every day from 11:30–4:00 pm.
This is my first time in Charlottetown, PEI, and I was highly encouraged to try this place. My impression of the pizza is that it's very good, but not $25 for a small pizza good. I've had much better pizza elsewhere for a better price, so I have mixed feelings about Piatto. If the pizza was $15, then I'd say it's worth it, but $25 is crazy. The pizza is light and crispy. Nice amount of cheese to sauce ratio. Crust isn't too heavy, so that's a plus. Although the pepperoni looks strange, it tasted good. Not overly greasy. Not undercooked. Done just right. The staff is phenomenal. I had interactions with three lovely people, and they all made me feel welcome. The atmosphere is nice, but I just prefer a less open concept when dining. I don't like sitting at a table where there's a lot of people all around me, but that's just a personal preference. 4/5 overall. I'd likely eat there again, but will try other places first.
Vegano Pizza was delicious but the pasta was undercooked. Drinks were good too
One of our favourite places to visit in Charlottetown (Avonlea Village was already closed). The food and service are amazing, there was even live music the evening we went.
From the time I walked in until the time I left, the staff was absolutely lovely! The pizza I ordered him quickly, perfectly cooked and delicious, where the management lost a little luster was when I ordered my dessert, the flourless chocolate cake, which was supposed to have vanilla ice cream, I was told the only thing they had was pistachio. Luckily, I ordered it on the side as the two flavors clashed, I often wonder, why in a situation like this management wouldn’t run to the closest grocery store and purchase some high-end ice cream to please the pallets of their guests! This disappointment, sort of overshadowed the rest of the experience!
Every time in in PEI I make sure to go to Piatto. It's always great food and a beautiful atmosphere. We had aperol spritz, two pizzas, a nutella pizza and the tiramisu. The tiramisu was amazing. Our server was Blair and she was amazing. She was personable, polite and hilarious. Such a great experience!
Mix feelings. We were a party of 5 and some went very well and others did not. First, we ordered an appetizer and it was 3 stars. After that, we order 5 different dishes. The salad Caprese and the lasagna were a bit small, and the pizza came cold, but they changed it for a new one. The pizza was so good. We also ordered a pizza gluten-free, with not too many topins on it, again 3 stars. Finally, the panzerotty was great. 5 out of 5. I have to accept that the personnel took care of our complaints and that the waitress in charge of our table was real nice.
I always enjoy my meal here and have never had anything but exceptional service. I would definitely suggest this spot to others, especially if you like a fresh fire oven pizza. Lovely little deserts here too!
Great spot! I am not usually one for restaurant pizza but I couldn’t pass it up! I had the Americana and it was probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The staff was also great with accommodating my request for a singular arancini since no one would split an app with me.
Had dinner here while staying at a nearby hotel. Kim our waitress was great. We were seated closes to the open pen kitchen which was a bit too warm, Kim moved us to another table closer to the bar. I had the Aglio Olio with sausage and my wife had the Rigatoni. Both entrees were very good. We sharded the Trio di Tartine for dessert. Would eat here again when in the area.
Fantastic thin crust pizza! Fresh ingredients, lovely atmosphere.
Very disappointed. Service was friendly and atmosphere nice as usual. But the food was subpar. Pizza was barely edible. Not worth it.
Pizza was ok. Service was terrible. Not even a water glass refill. Being pretty isn t enough to get a nice tip, you also gotta pay attention to your tables.
If youre into Neapolitan pizza, this is for you - a very good pizza! And, we enjoyed it, even if were much more into NY Style Pizza.
Beet salad was very good. Sorry, Im not a fan of thin crust pizza, so ... The service was excellent. Food
Facility ok. Thats it. Burnt pizza. Neapolitan? A foreign word?! Below expectations, even for North America. I would rather not have seen how the food is handled in the pizza oven.
Traveling and ended up eating there twice while in PEI. Tried 2 pizzas Margarita and Siciliano both were exceptional. Gelato chocolate was superb. Came 2 nights later for pasta and had spaghetti + polpette and carbonara spinici. Again a great meal finished with gelato.
Dietary restrictions: We had gluten free Bruschetta and Pizza and it was fantastic - cross contamination always a possibility Food
Worth the detour, excellent wood oven pizzas!
The crust is thin and chewy, just the way I love it. The sauce was mellow.
Great food reasonable prices I would have had a picture of my pizza but I ate I couldnt wait. Back again. And its still a gem in Charlottetown Food
Don t order any of the pastas! Rigatoni was cold and tasted like chef boyardee. Also too spicy! Lasagna was dry and awful. Pizza and focaccia were good. We sat for 10 minutes before someone came to our table to ask about drinks and food. Not impressed especially after seeing such good reviews. Felt like we were in a different place. I know it s end of season but still definitely not the best Italian food in town!
Server was great, very helpful on suggestions of food and what to take in during our stay. Ourfood was tasty, delivered hot, prices were reasonable and appropriate. Included a bottle of wine.
Delicious food & great atmosphere
Delicious pizza! Trendy place, we loved it!
Love the space and very attentive service. Pizza crust was a little under-done and so many toppings it was wet/dripping juice from tomatoes. Food was just ok but the service and ambiance were very good. Perhaps just an off night in the kitchen.
The food was good overall. I really wish that the pasta dishes containing beef were only beef and not pork. Because they mix their beef with pork, I was limited to the only vegetarian pasta dish they have. That was fine, but I did feel like something was missing. The pesto and goat cheese pizza someone else in my party got was amazing. I tried some and wished I got that instead. The server we had was alright, but she was a little quick to walk away and not particularly warm or friendly. Questions we had were answered very short and non-enthusiastic.
Looked at the reservation times online and they had availability every 15 minutes so I didn t reserve just walked in. I was told we are fully booked. I then went to make reservations online and was able to get one right away. When I went to the hostess again she then went to get someone else that said we are under staffed and might be able to accommodate us in 30 minutes. She also said the online reservations should have been turned off but weren t so they weren t honoring reservations clearly. So beware of making reservations here! There are plenty of other restaurants nearby.
We went for lunch, the staff were friendly, the pizzas were very yummy, very close to traditional Italian pizza. The salad I had with the Goat cheese and pecans was dull however, the dressing needs more salt, herbs and vinegar. I recommend this place.
The pizza and salad were so delicious that they could be found in Tokyo. However, the customer service is a bit like a gal (lol), so make sure to check the contents of the food, receipt, and bill.
Great place to eat in Ch Town. Kids menu spaghetti was quite spicey. Food : 5/5
Phenomenal pizza and service within a very cool building
I recently had takeout pizza from this restaurant and was very pleased with my experience. The welcome was very warm and the waiting time was very short. The pizza was delicious, especially the dough cooked in a wood fired oven. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent takeaway pizza!
horrible service
Solid basic Italian and pizza done the traditional way. Be wary if you dont like spice, when they say chili flakes, they mean it!! Overall a good experience and good service, though a bit pricey. Theyre moving menus so be prepared for something different than whats online.
the pizza was amazing i will start with that, but i must leave 3 stars as we waited an hour for our pizzas and the service wasn t great. we did really enjoy our meals though.
come here for AMAZING pizza :) 10 outa 10 would recommend Food
if you are in charlotte town you MUST come here . the pizza is a 10 outa 10 . & the waitress was super sweet .
Great pizza. Great service.
Theres a reason there were ZERO people in here at 7pm. I cant understand how this place has as many stars as it does? The food was sooooo very baaad. *The pizza dough was actually not bad (thats where the 2 stars come from) but Im sure most of Italy would turn over in their graves to know that was what you were calling neopolitan pizza???? There was so much pepperoni piled on it, it essentially boiled and made the pizza a wet soggy mess. FYI My guy making the pizza, a pizza chef you are not. The arancini balls were pasty bland balls of rice with no seasoning or flavour...felt like Costco specials. And the Caesar salad?? How do you get a salad wrong?? It was served with a couple of baked pieces of dough that had something spicy (cayenne?) sprinkled on them (and no Im not a light weight..I love spice..when used properly) they then sprinkled this breadon the salad giving it a weird bitter aftertaste, not pleasant. The water was good. The server was sweet, but even though she brought plates of uneaten food back to the kitchen after we told her it wasnt good, she made no effort to resolve or call manager over. It was like they were used to it, because I guess they are. Give this one a pass, trust me.
Incredible pizza, had a margherita and the sauce, crust were absolute perfection
Good food
I really miss Italian style pizza, and in this place the pizza crust is really good. But the topping of the pizza upsets me a little bit. I tried Stephanie pizza and it was too.much balsamic glaze on it. Your pizza has a lot of potential, you just need to work on it more.
Our server was thee best I have even seen in all my travels around the world! The food was perfect and authentic.
Very tasty. Recommended
three bon italian
Very good brick oven pizza. Nice atmosphere too!! We shared our pizza
Dined in for our anniversary. I had a pizza. It came with a swamp puddle of water in the middle that creeped up every other piece while I gagged down the first one. Tomatoe sauce was so bland. They never cooked off the water when they made this sauce which is why it was so sopping wet. My mistake was the salami was too hot (calbrese) for me. Waitress came back when we were done eating. I never told her about the puddle because the crust soaked it up at this point. I told her it was way too spicy for me. She asked if I wanted anything else or to take it home to eat. No, Im not paying for another soggy pizza and no I think it will still be spicy when I take it home. (Even if I could dry it out in the convection oven). Hubbys Lasagna was 20bucks and dry as a bone. Also a lot of burnt spots. Save ur money. Go to little Ceasars and grab a $5 pizza. Delicious flavored sauce, no burn, no sog, and actually has mozzarella cheese on it, unlike mine. OH and I ordered Basil too and it came 100% charred, burnt black. No refund or discount was given. Clearly I was disappointed in it. Not going back. It wasnt like this a few years ago. Too bad.
Hubby & I were looking for a real Italian experience and are we ever glad we chose Piattos! Enough food for the two of us to leave stuffed, along with a box of leftovers for a 2nd helping. Our table was picked for free dessert the night we went, which topped off the 10/10 experience. We will be back! Parking: For a Saturday evening downtown Charlottetown, the parking was great! Short walking distance to entrance and right outside exit. Amazing
Love the food, the Nutella pizza is awesome, and the staff nicely attentive. Atmosphere probably better later in the evening (we did 6pm....quite empty but good for chatting and relaxing) A good place to eat Food : 5/5
Cool spot with good pizza. It was featured on you gotta eat here , so I did!
Food is amazing, but the table we had had a light on the wall that seared into my eyes. Oddly, though, it also cast shadows so badly that I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see the menu. The food made up for it mostly. Food
Very very good pizza, its been a really long time since I tasted a pizza like this
Very good pizza.
Amazing pizza as always! And lovely staff
Need to stop making the pizzas as thick as a loaf of bread
Best pizza ever
Amazing food! Great service and atmosphere!
I come here often, the food always is great but the atmosphere and staff are what really set this place apart from others. A great place for supper or even just a drink. Highly recommend
Fantastic everything. Highly recommend.
Exellent food and service. make sure to come early or make a reservation. Best pizza on PEI.
Favorites! Piero Dolce fumoso
Ordered a calzone So delicious and filling I couldnt eat it all n took it home for lunch Food : 4/5
Best pizza in town, no question about it. Authentic Italian pizza cooked in a proper wood fired oven.
Went to the pizzeria for a birthday dinner. Loved the service. Never had to wait to order anything. What we had from the menu was pretty good. Pizza I never had before - goat cheese and caramelized pear (oddly delicious), and pasta bolognese. Overall, it is a great place for a meal with excellent service.
Wonderful ambience. Great service. Delicious pizza.
Finally a real Italian pizza again. Pizza was very tasty and service was really good too. Friendly staff and not a long wait for the food. The only drawback would be that the Aperol was a bit thin. That would be the cherry on top of the cake.
Nested between the various shops and numerous restaurants crowding Queen Street in Charlottetown, the Piatto may be easily missed by the inattentive passerby in a hurry. From the outside, the venue has a low profile compared to many of the flashier eateries lining the street. I went in blind, without prior knowledge of the place despite living quite nearby and passing it frequently. I entered the Piatto and was almost immediately welcomed and seated - there was a friendly ambiance and familiar vibe from the moment I set foot inside the restaurant. My server Marlow introduced himself, and offered me the menu. I looked at the various options, but eventually decided to ask him for recommendations - he gladly obliged, and suggested some favourites, as well as something based on my preferences for something with many toppings. Marlow spoke passionately about each dish, and eventually I settled for a simple, delicious classic - the Siciliana. The Siciliana was served surprisingly quickly, and looked beautiful. At first I thought that I might not be able to finish a 10 pizza by myself, but the pizza was light and refreshing, with a balance of fresh veggies and evenly spread proteins. Every bite introduced my taste buds to fresh peppers, tomatoes, and basil, all complemented by some light cheese. If you go in expecting your typical heavy, fat American pizza, you might want to reconsider. But if you are looking for a more authentic, fresh, handcrafted pizza, look no further than the Piatto.
The pizza is really excellent
The best Pizza and Service in town. True value for money.
Great food. Fantastic staff. Aaron our server was amazing.
The maple beet salad (with chicken) was terribly disappointing. Where were the beets? And I was expecting a full chicken breast, not shriveled up morsels reminiscent of what one might see in an Asian soup. Our server did not return to the table after the food was served to see how it was. A request was made for special attention for the birthday guest - and it was not carried out.
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! If I could give 10 stars, I would.
We tried the vegan Aglio pasta. It was so good served with a piece of vegan bread. The staff were attentive and interactive. It was a good experience for us. Im definitely going back again.
Try somewhere else.
Had a take out tonight and it was all delicious! :)
Amazing place. Pizza, calzone and spaghetti just amazing
Italian joint in Pei downtown.. The ambience is good and service is great . The food is authentic Italy style made with fresh ingredients .. I feel one area of improvement is the pizzas could made well done and could have a smoky wood oven taste ..
I was thrilled to stumble upon this delicious Italian oasis on a rainy and windy Sunday night in Charlottetown. For those of you new to the east coast, myself included, you will quickly learn that pretty much everything is closed on a Sunday (and Monday and Tuesday)! But not this place!!! The butternut squash soup was a great way to warm up from the cold, and the pizza was light and satisfying (we got the vegan pizza with real cheese, as was suggested by our waiter. He was, dare I say, a genius!) Finished off the meal with tiramisu in a jar, cuz we re cool like that.
The place is nice for just chilling. Food is good for its price.
Amazing pizza, fast and friendly service
The neapolitan margherita was insanely good, pretty close to the real deal which is impressive!
Great meal. If not the best pizza I ve ever had, certainly in the top five.
The pizza at Piatto is worh the wait. If you are looking for an authentic pizza experience, you are going to the right place. The dining area is small, though, so I definitely recommend a reservation for dinner. Top notch pizza!
Delicious pizza, especially the crust, we were well served (in English).
Beautiful spot to grab lunch and an Aperol Spritz. Great lunch of pizza and salad. Service was stellar, perfect location.
Best pizza on the island, great service, nice place!!!
Their pasta is blan and not much sauce. You want sauce with pasta!?!
Nice place accepts dogs on terrace
Excellent Neapolitan pizzas, cooked over a wood fire and with flour and tomato sauce imported from Italy: we can say that we can feel the difference! Very friendly service who gave us some recommendations for the rest of our stay.
A favourite diver while in Charlottetown. Weve yet to have a bad experience here. Great food and great service.
Spaghetti was good. Those with me that ordered pizza, ate the whole thing. Eating speaks better than words.
Very expensive and ask for pizza not too spicy and it was the opposite, its spicy
Although all the food was excellent, my wife and I both believed that there was opportunities to step up the game. The all of appetizer couldve been made excellent by getting some smoke flavour to the olives, as well as serving them warm with just a minimal amount of orange zest, grated on top. My wife had an appetizer that was mozzarella cheese, wrapped in prosciutto with a marinara sauce. We both believe that the cheese ratio shouldve been higher as well as a pan sear on the prosciutto before putting into the marinara sauce with it elevated this dish. We both have the pizza different times, and it was excellent.
Excellent authentic Napoli pizza. Perfect crust. I had the Diavola pizza and was not disappointed. It came as a lunch special. Salad of your choice and nine inch pizza of your choice for $17. The location is in historic Charlottetown. Great for walking off a meal. The owner is from Naples and knows what he s doing. Highly recommended.
Great food - really great, in fact. Great service. Wonderful that they have vegan options my partner could enjoy. Could have done without the live music - too loud and not very entertaining. We were there to eat, not listen to some guy sing The Unicorn by the Irish Rovers. Overall, recommended.
My wife and I went there twice. Both times were great! I had the Americano both times and my wife had the prosciutto ham and sausage. We are both from New York and take pizza very seriously. Pistol was outstanding.
Best pizza eaten in Canada, real Italian pizza cooked in a wood oven. Great atmosphere and welcome.
Only certain items are available for lunchtime dining. Create a separate menu for lunch. Pizza was partially burnt and rather tasteless. Paid 27 dollars for a 1 topping pizza.
Fantastic place for great food and excellent friendly service! Everything we ordered tasted great and the staff went above and beyond. We will definitely be eating there again
Excellent pizza. Nuff said.
Best Pizza hot fresh from the stone oven, salads are amazing. Service is top-notch. We will definitely go back! Thanks again!
You gotta go! Arguably the best pizza in Canada. Ended up having two pizzas the same night because I knew I wouldn t be getting that in Ontario, or at least I haven t found it. Anyways, go, go, go! It s a must!
Friendly and helpful.
Ate outside first time. Ordered carry out next time. Good pizza for sure. Friendly service. Illy espresso. Well done. Vegetarian options: Several good veggie options
Piatto has the best neapolitan style pizza on the island! We had the VPN Margherita pizza, and it was delicious. The sauce was very flavorful, and the dough was light and thin, which goes great with all the beer this place has to offer. The atmosphere was excellent and spot on for this style of pizzeria. We would absolutely eat here again when visiting.
This is an awesome restaurant in a great location downtown. They stand out in Charlottetowns Italian cuisine line-up, serving true Neapolitan pizza, and Italian favourites like Arancini in a semi-formal atmosphere. I recently made an order for take-out, and while I waited in the restaurant, I enjoyed a cappucino. Im a returning customer and big fan!
The food is divine! We ordered the bruschetta, Diavola pizza and tiramisu. Everything was amazing. Vegetarian options: They have gluten free and vegetarian desserts and main course dishes.
Great pizza!!! Great staff!
I dont often write a review but tonight the Piatto in Charlottetown delivered an amazing experience. Although I enjoyed the seafood restaurants of PEI it was refreshing to switch it up on our last night. The place was busy but never once felt rushed. We ordered apps followed by pizza, dessert and finished the night with cappuccino and a lemoncello. Great food. Great service. Great Vibe. They are terrific with children and their customer service is top notch. Kid-friendliness: Our 2 and 4 year old really enjoyed the restaurant. They have child friendly cups which gave peace of mind. Also came by to give them stickers which was a nice touch.
We dropped in for supper on Saturday evening. We sat outside in the patio seating area, which was pet friendly. Wasnt busy at the time but I guess it can get crazy busy. We barely waited to get our drinks and browse the menu. We all ordered different kinds of their famous pizzas and we were not disappointed!! They were truly the best wood stove pizzas we all ever had! Amazing spot, we will be back again!
We had A LOT of complicated food restrictions and Jessie helped to ensure we each received a tasty meal! It was honestly a wonderful experience because of her!! Thank you!
We needed a snack. Hit the spot. Excellent
Busy place, great wood oven pizzas and the service was exceptional..
Our waitress Halley recommended the spaghetti + polpette and the spinach pasta with roasted garlic, spicy pancetta, and carbonara sauce .she was spot on!! We have never tasted anything so delicious ever! Pretty remarkable to leave that much of an impact simply on noodles and meatballs and noodles w some pancetta. It was insanely amazing!! We honestly thought about ordering a second helping simply because it was so amazing!! The desserts she recommended were tarimisu and the chocolate cake tarimusu was good but the chocolate cake was out of this world!! Definitely ordered another piece to take home!! Life is short, eat the cake! So thankful we stopped in here tonight, what a treat!
The food was great, but OMG the coffee was the best Ive had on The Island!!!
This place is the real deal for pizza, dough and sauce are straight from italy. Best pizza on the east coast. I cant stress enough. Actually best pizza east of Toronto.
Pizza was amazing don t forget to ask for chilli oil it goes great with pizza. The server was not in the mood of serving really disappointed with that.
Came here on vacation and the 3 of us were blown away by both the food and the service. Fresh pasta and flavourful pizza with fresh ingredients. Our server was funny and very attentive and all the staff were great.
Great pizza
Very good fresh crust pizza!
Dietary restrictions: Glutenfree Food
Worst food in Charlottetown, bland, no herbs or spices. Very limited choice of food, only one type of pasta, no seafood dishes. Absolutely terrible, worst Italian food I have ever had, anywhere. There are lots of fabulous places to eat in the town, do yourself a favour and go and eat anywhere else, literally
Great pizza. Crust was excellent. Had a nice red wine and local lager too
Absolutely lovely place. Pizza and Pasta are both very genuine and tasted amazing. Pasta especially since its made in-house, and their pizza dough was fantastic. Only place we went to twice on our vacation to PEI. Would definitely recommend and go to again!
We were on holidays in Charlottetown from Victoria BC in September. By chance we happened on Piatto Pizzeria while walking down the street, and decided to stop in for dinner. Food and Service were excellent, so was the ambiance. Definitely worth a visit for dinner and atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious pizza!!
Been here twice from Ontario. Best Pizza I ve ever had anywhere.
Best service and awesome food
Our waitress was fine (no issues) but the waiter that the delivered our food, without exaggeration, asked who ordered what, dropped the plates and left. He never bothered to ask if we needed/wanted anything in the way of pepper, drink refills...nothing. The staff spent a lot of time on their phones at the counter which seemed inappropriate. Our mains were quite good but the desert was unflavored, dry and resembled something purchased at the local Sobeys. Have I mentioned the $9.50 Coors? A bit overpriced but that was my mistake for not looking. Overall the meal was fine, not in a hurry to return and if we do it will be main dishes only as the appetizer and dessert were subpar at best.
Definitely serves authentic Margherita, not the best service experience and thus no tip
Waitress was bit rude to us so, I didn t tip her but food was good
Its too bad because I feel like this place could have been 5 stars easily. I ordered a Sicilian Pizza and a dessert for takeout. I asked for takeaway utensils, but they didnt have any. Also, no napkins sent with my order either. I walk to my hotel only one block away and Im thinking while holding the bottom of the pizza box, this isnt very hot for a pizza box. When I get back to the room, I open the box, the pizza looks great! I go to grab a slice and instantly realize two things. The pizza is lukewarm at best, and even worse its barely cut through at all. I carefully try to disect and remove a slice with my fingers because there was no fork or knife provided, but nope, it breaks apart like Im tearing a piece of paper. Toppings slide off, flimsy mess, I better grab a napkin. Oh wait. Ugh... Anyway the flavor of the sauce was very nice, the toppings tasted great, the dough was a bit chewy but not terrible. All I know, is if I ate that same style pizza piping hot and it was cut enought I could pull a piece out, it would have been a much better experience.
Love thier pierro pizza, and beet room feta salad Vegetarian options: Mac n cheese, pierro pizza , margarita pizza and beetroot feta salad Food : 5/5 |
Great food, friendly efficient staff, nice atmosphere.
Piattos in Charlottetown is always good food and friendly service
Best pizza in Charlottetown. And the atmosphere is chill Food
Beautiful, cozy pizza place with a nice view of downtown Charlottetown. I had the piero pizza with pesto sauce and chicken. Mi amor had the fungi pizza on gluten-free dough. Both were delicious, and it was amazing to watch them prepare and bake the pizzas in front of us in the wood oven. Will return to sample the rest of the menu.
Pizza cooked in a wood oven. Delicious pizza dough, but the ingredients are disappointing. Comforting place on this December evening. Pasta as a regular side dish. Choice of wine by the glass! The staff is attentive.
Went in and wanted a coffee and asked for a non-dairy milk and was informed that they dont have any. They only have whole milk to use in their coffees. I found this appalling in this day and age to not give an alternate milk option. I did not get to have a coffee experience there and it felt very uninclusive. Dietary restrictions: Not at all inclusive for people who need a non dairy option in their coffee.
Delicious food, tried two dishes never had before and were super good. Pizza was great too. Parking: Pay parking in daytime, free parking in evening. Always a spot shows up to park. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance entry level with sidewalk.
Awesome pizza, great service and music.
You come to PEI for the seafood but this is an excellent option to mix it up a bit. The pizza is great and the service was even better.
Popped in on a busy Saturday for supper. Tables were reserved but put us at the bar to eat. This was great as staff were wonderful to talk to and the food was great. Dietary restrictions: GF options
The meatballs need grated bread, the pizza sauce needs a bit more salt and a pinch of sugar for acidity. The carbonara was absolutely excellent. The fresh pastas are great.
Great. Great atmosphere . Very good service. Very good food and good wine. We are a little far to return (Quebec City). But I still recommend
Authentic Italian style pizza. If you like olive oil, you will enjoy their food. If you prefer more cheese on your pizza like a typical American, I suggest the Americano Pizza or request extra cheese. Delicious food, amazing service.
Great food and service! We ate here on a very busy evening. Our young son was getting fussy - we had been wandering around trying to find a good and not too busy place to eat for at least an hour - and they were very accommodating. Our waitresses pointed out which appetizers would arrive the quickest and when we needed to pack up early she was quick to bring us carry out boxes abd our bill. We didnt feel pressured to rush even though there were line ups. The food was delicious too - we finished eating in a park nearby!
We didnt manage to go to Cavendish, but we went to Charlottetown to taste their excellent spaghetti with polpettes with San Marzanno tomato sauce as well as the excellent Sicilian pizza. Well done! A tribute to Italian cuisine. Unfortunately I couldnt give more than 5 stars.
Excellent! The quality of food you expect from an upscale city bistro with the charm and personality only PEI can deliver. Disappointed they were out of their famous Pacchi Di Prosciutto, but all else was great. They were able to squeeze us in without a reservation, but highly recommend calling ahead. Wonderful experience!
One of the best pizza in town
There was No pasta at Saturday evening
Let me tell you what happened: We got at the restaurant at 7:45pm. We included our name on the waiting list. There was 2 tables empty, but we assumed they were for reservations, all good. We sat outside, in front of the restaurant. Another couple came after us and sat next to us. They got called about 10min after sitting. But not us. Maybe they had a reservation, maybe they were called back, we kept waiting outside for another 15min. I must say, it was 10 degrees celsius. A LOT OF PEOPLE leaving the restaurant. Still, no one called us. We didnt see anyone ENTERING the restaurant for 15min or so, only leaving, so we decided to go back in and ask. There wee maybe 5 empty tables when we got back in. The person looked at us and acted like he called us, grabbing menus and sitting us right away. I asked did you forget about us?, obviously he did, but he denied. No sorry, no explanation. The pizza was good. The appetizer was INCREDIBLY small. The meatball said it would come with foccaccia. It actually was a small slice of pizza dough, very small. Nothing to make up for being forgotten on the cold while the restaurant sat empty.
A taste of Italy, only Napoli style pizza will do. Try the Stephanie you will be amazed, youre welcome!
Good food and service
Great pizza, excellent staff.. the meatballs were great too!!
Fantastic pizza
Excellent pizza. They have a light dough, but not too thin. I will go again
Chocolate mousse dessert paired perfectly with my espresso! How do i come back here all the time?
Good place with good food. Just the ceiling fans are making the place uncomfortable and not cozy.
$20 per pizza roughly but well worth it considering its fresh ingredients and wood fired. Plus live music was perfect for background noise and to set the atmosphere. Not just for tourists!!!
Excellent wood fired pizza. Had the Greca and Stephanie...both very good. 3 Copperbottom beers. Service was fast and friendly.
Our family loves to come here when we visit Charlottetown. The atmosphere is relaxed enough to bring the kids and the food is healthy and tasty. The service this last visit was super friendly. I definitely recommend this place.
Me and my dad came in for a beer and some food, since we got there we were told there was a reservation at 7(kinda pushy) it was just 5:40 when we came in and we order right away and everything so we felt kicked out, as we are done with the food the waitress took the plates and basically pushed to bring the bill and we still had half of our beers(6:15) and there was people still coming in to the restaurant and ordering, so you are kicking us out but you are still seating people? Didn t make sense, very unpleasant customer service. The food was so good tho, I have to give points for that 10/10.
