The server was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food. The bacon wrapped chicken was amazing, and will always order if I go back. My friends had the chickpea salad, fish tacos, the seafood chowder and crab dip. Food was really really good! I recommend this spot to try but as the night went on, it turned into a huge social which was to much for me but would have been different if they were in my age range.
Definitely an Experience. The chicken burger and pan fried Haddock were freshingly Amazing & Unique. The truffle fries were beautifully presented and encased in perfect flavour -but unfortunately the fries were slightly stale/dry. Everything else was fine dining at it's Core. Even the dang vegetables were so Sweet & Tasty your kids would eat them. Most importantly the Kitchen was SPOTLESS. The cleanest kept kitchen in all of Nova Scotia (from my observations). I think it actually put me into a state of Shock. And you can tell in the food - nothing was greasy and everything tasted Clean.
Atmosphere was very nice, server was attentive and knowledgeable about the ingredient origins, food was wonderful tasting fresh and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend trying the fish and chips (perfect texture) along with the lobster roll (market price was $29 on Oct 22)!
Wonderful dinner! Love that the music’s at a right volume so my older parents could enjoy their time. Amazing food with thoughtfully touch on each dish. Great service and make sure you try the dessert menu!
Beautiful restaurant with great decor. The service was great. The baked oysters were very disappointing. Although the 3 sauces were delicious, the oysters were SO small. We had just had the most amazing oysters Rockefeller in Halifax at the Bicycle Thief and had been craving them. The oysters here at Sea Rocket were pretty anti-climactic and I don’t recommend them. For entrees we ordered the beet salad with scallops, the smash burger, and the lobster roll. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Dessert was a lemon creme brûlée and cheesecake.
We reached the restaurant on a weekend without a reservation. It was full and luckily they had seating outside which was available. Unfortunately it was a bit too windy for our comfort so we asked the staff if they could accommodate us, but no tables were free. A few minutes later one of the servers quickly reached to us with the news of an empty table! It had been a while since we requested them and it was so nice to know that they kept an eye out for us. Thank you PS the food was amazing. Pics speak for me.
I went to Sea Rocket twice this summer, and both were exceptional experiences. The first time we were travelling, and they accommodated a table of nine on their patio at 4 p.m., without batting an eye, and the second time getting a table for three on the patio was a breeze. Service was great, and the food was amazing. The lobster roll, is the best I have ever had. Very light sauce, fresh toasted bun, and the amount of lobster was very generous, going to the very bottom of the bun and not just sitting on the top. The Kale salad was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The tuna sandwich was out of this world delicious, and so fresh. Both times we went, the food was absolutely perfect. We will be back next time we are on the island, and we really look forward to it.
Came for dinner in early June. We called in advance to make a reservation - the restaurant is quite large and wasn't busy when we arrived at 6pm, but was quite full by 6:30pm. I imagine it'd be even busier during peak season. We ordered a few oysters from the raw bar which we loved. Also got the baked oysters three ways which were just okay - there was one kind (I think the champagne cream, the one without breadcrumbs) which was too salty. However, the seafood chowder was excellent as were the fish and chips. Prices are very reasonable. Our server Jess was super friendly, and food comes out fast. Really enjoyed the ambiance as well - decor is fun and nautical without being tacky (even the bathrooms!). 4.5/5
I never leave reviews but this place moved me to do so. The decor is super nice and high quality. The food is excellent. Lobster role was big and not a lot of mayo - perfect. Fish was fresh and the tacos were also a huge amount of fish. Even the side salad was so nice. Staff was very friendly and attentive. You should absolutely go to SeaRocket.
Tuna burger and lobster both were fantastic. Adding great service and window table made for a great experience. Thanks !
Good restaurant. The food was very good. The haddock bites were delicious and the chowder was very good. Best thing was the service, excellent from Sean /Shaun. Wine list was a bit linited for a seafood restaurant in my personal opinion.
Food - uninspired and lacking flavour. Extra gross that we could see a line cook wiping his nose with his hands and then picking food off plates for service and eating it. Also saw another cook scratching his head and touching food. Service - was okay, but less than average. Atmosphere - was nice, but small things matter would recommend they do some general cleaning (e.g. vacuuming ceiling vents and disinfecting bathrooms).
Very nice place. Good Oyster selection.
Oysters were a great mix of flavors. Good service and a nice selection of local ciders and beers. Would recommend!
Amazing food. Loved the chowder and the baked oysters.
We had an incredible dining experience at Sea Rocket Oyster House in PEI, thanks to our server Sarah, who made our evening truly memorable. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We started with an assortment of fresh oysters, each beautifully presented and perfectly paired with sauces. The ribeye we ordered was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Sarah s recommendation for wine was spot on, complementing our meal wonderfully. Overall, the combination of amazing food and Sarah s excellent service made this a standout evening. Highly recommend!
Of all the restaurants we ate in while in Charlottetown, Sea Rocket turned into one of our favourites. The chicken sandwich and the fish tacos were especially great. We also lived the potato leek dip and ordered it all three times we were in. The staff made us feel very at home. Sean was a stand out. We got talking and learned we were both from the same neck of the woods. He was our server the first night we were in, but the next two times we were there he made it a point to stop by and say hello. It was a very kind gesture. When we are next back in PEI we will be sure to stop in again.
Blew my socks off! The atmosphere was great, the staff was really knowledgeable, and those were seriously the best oysters Ive had in my entire life. So fresh. 10/10.
Excellent food and great service ! We had oysters, the clam chowder and the fish and chips. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Service was amazing as well, definitely recommend if you are in Charlottetown !
Awesome meal great service
Really amazing experience. Staff is really nice, helpful and attentive. The food was really good, not a huge portion but just perfect. We will go back again !
Delightful place for great seafood!
A wonderful meal. The service was outstanding.
Great atmosphere, great location, great service. Food was very decent but not quite to the extent that it filled my food connoisseur side. What you would expect for a touristy area.
Food is always great, servers are a little mid, but Im a pretty low maintenance diner so Im fine with that. Never had a bad experience here.
Had late dinner yesterday. The salmon was ok, The rice and sauce underneath was totally cold so lacked a bit of flavor. The scallop and pork belly was good not great! Oysters very good
We went during a busy lunchtime rush and we had to ask for things like water and a kids menu multiple times. We never ended up getting a kids menu and our server just read the options out to our table. Our food came in a reasonable time frame and was overall quite good. I did end up with a piece of shell in my lobster roll but the chowder and fish tacos were well received. The fries were fresh and the ketchup was of a higher quality which was a nice touch. The building is beautiful but the acoustics make it really hard to hear the people youre sitting with. I know for some this would not be an issue, we are just not particularly loud or outgoing people. The bar height chairs also pitch forward and are not very comfortable unless you lean on the table.
I love the atmosphere of this place, it s very nice sitting inside. Service was incredibly friendly, and we loved everything that we tried (oysters, lobster roll, scallops, burger)
Yet again, another great experience! GO!
It was excellent. Price was cheap and it was really good although it may have been a bit too salty, but it didnt matter. The theme felt really sea-ish. The bathroom doors were like pirate doors. Staff were also really friendly, they provided us everything we wanted. I would recommend going any time!
Outstanding dinner experience. Strongly recommended!
The oysters are DELICIOUS and the service impeccable. A must in Charlottetown if you like oysters.
Great food, particularly enjoyed the scallops, salmon and chowder - and of course the PEI oyster selection (dont skip the dessert!). Very friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely return and highly recommend a visit.
Had baked oysters, haddock croquettes, chick pea salad, fried chicken sandwich, and fish tacos and pesto pasta. Beautiful setting and excellent server. Food was delicious. Highly recommended!
Came in for a reservation for my 50th birthday. Was promptly seated by the door in a restaurant you can hardly hear yourself think in. The food was alright, but I wouldn t go again. Very buyer beware.
Impeccable service and excellent taste
Great restaurant with lots of gluten free options or substitutes
It s not hard to see why this place gets great reviews! Delicious food, great service and a small but lively space! We were able to snag a spot on the patio and despite the bee s, we had a great time! If we re ever back in Charlottetown we will be back! Thanks again! Zeke
We had dinner here with a large group. The server/service was overall terrific, really good people. We (a number of us) ordered the haddock which looked terrific on the menu. My wife specifically asked that the fish not be overcooked. Unfortunately the delivered meals were all indeed very overcooked. I asked the server, a very pleasant young lady, to inform the cook of our opinion, and when queried her report was that the chef s comment was if it s overcooked it s overcooked . A pretty disappointing response to a $42 concern.
My mom and I had a lovely time here. They had a great fish and chips and fresh oysters. A wonderful wait staff that was more then willing to explain anything from how to properly eat oysters to where to get a good deal! Not to mention very stylized and clean bathrooms. Definitely recommended coming here!
This restaurant is located at the corner of Victoria Row from Queen Street, so it is in the most prominent location. The restaurant itself has a casual atmosphere. Ordered local raw oysters, clam chowder, and crab dip. The oysters were relatively large and good. Both the clam chowder and crab dip were delicious and the satisfaction level was relatively high. (July 2024)
Very easy to get in and out ( indoors) in my wheelchair, food/ servers were great, its some were I will definitely will be returning 2
A great venue for dinner with friends or partner. Upbeat atmosphere. Seafood offerings are tasty and well prepared. Holds its own among the many great downtown Charlottetown dining options. Dietary restrictions: Many GF choices.
Loved everything about this place. Stellar food. We had baked oysters, chowder, kale Caesar, Po Boy Sammie. All great. Friendly service. Lovely decor. Sean, our server, was perfect. Try it!
Amazing restaurant! Absolutely melt in your mouth delicious food, great service and a fun atmosphere.
Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Charlottetown on Queens Street. High ceilings, huge glass windows inside. Dog-friendly patio outside. Great food. We had a dozen oysters from three different bays, followed by a po boy sandwich and mussels.
Had a great date night dinner here while visiting PEI, lovely spot with a nice menu and good service
Delicious lobster roll and salad! Would definitely order it again! The only thing that would have made it even better would be to have the roll toasted with garlic butter!
Great lobster rolls.
Great atmosphere with inside and out dining. Delicious food and drinks. Service was very friendly and efficient.
Lively atmosphere, would highly recommend an online reservation. Appetizers were excellent, the mains were solid but the appetizers really shined. SeaCuterie Board is an absolute must.
We brought the kids here (age 5 and 7) and were very happy with this place. There is a kids menu which both kids really enjoyed the food. Our food was really delicious as well! Great oysters with three PEI varieties and great cocktail sauce and mignonette. The tastiest fried chicken sandwich I ve ever had too! Would happily come here again
Really good food: oysters are delicious! Our waiter Katelyn was very helpful, efficient and nice! We will be back!!
The food was really good; it tasted fresh and not like frozen food, especially the kids meals. However, the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the hostess was yawning in front of my husband. Our waitress was not very attentive she promised to bring crayons for the kids but didn t, so we had to ask another waitress. While I appreciated that they kept our glasses filled, I found hair in my salad and decided not to eat it. I let them know and switched to fries, which they accommodated without issue. However, our waitress stopped checking on us and didn t refill our glasses. When we asked for the bill and a takeout box, it took too long to get the box. We had to ask a different waitress, who apologized, but by then it was too late. Overall, I think our waitress was not very good, despite the quality of the food.
Food was delicious. The oyster Rockefeller were amazing. The lobster thermadore was lovely. Good amount of lobster - rich but not to heavy and the potato salad was also great. I had the pesto pasta dish and added scallops- also very good. The drinks were good and service was great.
The coating on the fish and chips was a bit oily, although the fish itself was nice. The lobster roll had lots of big lobster chunks but was one dimensional in flavor and texture, could have perhaps used something for a bit of crunch in the roll. It took a surprisingly long time to get our food - we were there long past the lunch rush and it wasnt crowded, so they were perhaps just understaffed.
Seafood chowder is a must try.
Very cute spot in downtown area with lovely menu. We had the chowder, the haddock bites, oysters and the fries. The highlight for me were the fries! The haddock bites were nothing special. Trust me, have the fries, and dipped in the chowder, delicious!
This restaurant is absolutely incredible. I have a severe anaphylactic celery allergy, and our server Lydia was an absolute gem. Eating out is typically very difficult for me. She didn t hesitate and went above and beyond to make me comfortable, and went back and forth to the kitchen to check with the chefs. She didn t even hesitate and smiled and was happy the entire time. Hands down one of the best places I ve eaten at in my travels. I would absolutely return!! Vegetarian options: Excellent and several vegetarian choices Dietary restrictions: Worked very well with someone with an anaphylactic celery allergy
Great tasting food.
Best service and ambiance. Food was very great ! We recommand it.
Had our best PEI meal here with my girlfriend to finish off our trip! Great fresh seafood. We had oysters, truffle fries, scallops and the seafood platter. The chef did an amazing job and the wait staff is very kind and helpful. Good beers on tap! Great location, decor and view with live music playing on Vic Row. It was golden hour :) I recommend.
Service and quality of food is excellent. Highly recommend!
I feel bad leaving this review. After so many recommendations it was huge let down. The halibut was dry, some how the fries were dry, and the truffle fries had zero truffle flavour. Quite the miss.
Hostesses were rude. Maybe it was an off night but the food was not well executed. Everything was dry.
The service was top notch the food was good. I would recommend this place to everyone. I would go back if I was from there.
I had excellent fish & chips. Probably the best I ate during my month spent in the Maritimes..
I visited this restaurant and honestly I was surprised because it has a good rating, but for me it was a bad experience. The reception was bland. The first waitress gave us a seat and then forgot about us, not even bringing us the menus and dealing with other customers who arrived after us. Luckily a second waitress took care of us. She was involved and took the time to explain the menu to us and serve us correctly. As for the food, it was a total disappointment. The portions were very small for the price and the fish and chips were inedible. What is correct is that the waitress did not include this dish in the bill. I do not recommend this restaurant
Extremely overrated. The food was definitely not worth it. You know when you are starving and waiting for food and when it comes and it is terrible and dry, but you have to eat something before the hanger sets in? Well, we just ate it because the experience was already ruined.
Good fish and chips for lunch.
The oysters are delicious there
Great food fast service
Everything was great. Oysters were super fresh!
Delicious. Oysters very delicious. Amazing drinks great vibes. Highly recommend
An excellent dinner with tasty raw oysters. Entrees were nicely prepared. Portion size was reasonable and not huge as is the trend elsewhere. Service was excellent. Tastefully decor inside made for a wonderful experience overall. Lunch menus perfect sizes. Tuna Katsu cooked perfectly.
We have waited a loooooong time to be served whereas we were only 4 persons and we had ordered oysters and food to share. The haddock croquettes were very good but the seacuterie was really too small and half of the dish was made of pickles. We were really disappointed, particularly after the high amount of the bill. We wont come back.
Great atmosphere, food was delicious and service was quick. Oysters were amazing.
Amazing place, great food and fast, good service
The service is truly extraordinary and exceptional there. The food is excellent. Me and my wife loved it. The people were really nice. It was truly a great dining experience.
Service was great, paired with live music on the street. They make a very good old fashioned
We went here twice, once for cocktails and baked oysters. They have the best Oysters Rockefeller by far. We came again for dinner, I docked them a star because the Lobster Thermidor is good but drier than it should be. They also kept the lights uncomfortably bright for after 9pm. They dimmed it once but the atmosphere was quite alert for a nice dining experience. Service was excellent!
With our dog, on the outdoor terrace Very good oysters The mignonette sauce was delicious.
During our Canadian cruise, we were able to experience a plethora of fresh seafood, but the lobster roll at Sea Rocket Oyster House was a highlight of the trip. The lobster was fresh and well seasoned, and the bread was toasted to perfection. Additionally, the PEI oysters were delightful.
Great spot, with good oysters and beer
One of the best oyster bars in Charlottetown. Ate there twice during a recent trip to PEI. Higher end but casual. Great selection of local oysters and other eats. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service. We ordered oysters, chowder, lobster roll, and scallops and everything was top notch. The pork belly that came with the scallops was the best I ve ever had!
Taste warm oysters with champagne cream. They are worth the detour!
Good food nice atmosphere
Such an amazing place. Engaging service that seem to never rest. Amazing food, refreshing drinks. Great, just great.
Food was amazing and the best service we have ever had by Laura
Dont advise getting mussels - they are large sheled, shrivelled up, overspiced, and 6 in the entré dish were unopened meaning they are unedible. And Sea Rocket advertises as a seafood restaurant? All server could say was, sorry. Not enough, go elsewhere.
My first time coming to P.E.I and the first restaurant we tried was this one. Great service and good food! Great for families! My favorite thing i had was the Chowder!
Cool place for quick bite before the SHOW
The sea-cuterie is amazing
LOVED!!! Amazing meal - we had the raw oysters, baked oysters (definitely a must get), crudo tuna, scallops, lobster roll. Everything was wildly delicious and it has such an ambient atmosphere. Must stop in Charlottetown!!
Stayed in PEI for 3 days. I had drinks and /or food at Sea Rocket all three days
Came to sea rocket for a couple oysters and was served by Soroush and he was amazing. So kind and such a talented bartender, I came back a week later just for him. Would definitely recommend asking for Soroush!
Nice atmosphere, oysters were fresh, however the rest was just average. The katsu tuna was overly sauced.
Great experience. Good food variety without trying to be everything to everyone. Wheelchair accessible. Good with dietary restrictions. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated a friend with milk and gluten restrictions and had a GF dedicated fryer. Wheelchair accessibility: It is fully accessible in wheel chair through a side entrance!
Great food and fine service
This is the best food I have ever eaten in my life everything from the oysters to the burger it s all done perfectly cooked to perfection served very nicely and customer service is great 10/10
This place is a must if you re in Charlottetown. The service and the food is amazing and the spicy margarita - WOW
Nice and beautiful place with delicious food and assorted drinks
Great Oysters in PEI
Scallop meal with only 4 scallops and served on a plate with a cold sauce. Unacceptable. A lobster roll only half filled with lobster meat, totally inexcusable. Save your money, go somewhere else.
Vegetarian options: Omit meat or fish from your dish Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food : 5/5 |
Lovely outdoor patio by pedestrian-only road on Victoria Row. Recommendation: Fresh raw oysters, fish tacos Food
Outstanding oysters and mussels
The outdoor patio is gorgeous, well spaced out and has lots of shade. Our host Lydia was so friendly and helpful with questions about various menu items. Scallops and pork belly absolutely stole the show for me. Ordered with scallops in mind and the pork belly that came with was the heat Ive ever had, hands down. Also slightly cheaper oysters by the dozen than a lot of other places. Great place, worth the stop by.
Had an amazing meal, everything was fresh and delicious. The oysters were 10/10 and the Crab Dip was unreal Our server Simon was great, really attentive and personable. He had great recommendations and we were never left waiting. Will definitely be coming back.
Mixed feelings about this place. The food was overall fairly tasty and came quickly, but there was variety in quality. The raw tuna dish was quite bland, but the pasta dish was quite good. The atmosphere is really nice- good vibe and aesthetic. However, the service was not good. We were barely acknowledged by the bartenderes at the bar and would sit for a while without anyone taking our order, refilling a drink or bringing the bill. No small talk or niceties. One bartender would bring a drink over and say nothing (not even enjoy), only to start trying to chat us up when the bill was brought (and the tip is being done lol).
Best dinner I ve had on PEI. Sat at the bar and the servers were excellent. Food was delicious. Oysters were some of the best I ve ever had. Brought some close friends and wanted to make sure they had a great dinner while in Charlottetown. Sea Rocket did not disappoint. Will be bringing the rest of the family with me the next time.
Decent food and atmosphere! Im not really a seafood fan and there were still great options for me. I went with a girlfriend to catch up and it was a nice atmosphere for it.
Enjoyed a very nice meal here on Mothers Day with my Son and Daughter. The food and service was excellent. Will def go back Food : 5/5
Our first 5 hours on the island and we have had the best intro .starting with Lydia our server .very attentive and happy! First time having oysters ..yum .lobster roll - special of the day! We ll definitely be back!
Amazing experience at this restaurant! If you are a seafood lover you will like the nice oyster that are cracked open right in front of you ! Service was awesome with a smile eveytime they come to check on us ! Restaurant and washroom was really clean ! Love the vibe there too !
Very nice restaurant! High quality oysters and amazing tuna. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch, served by Olivia, who was very helpful. The oysters were super, also the Chowder. Then I had the special April burger and Karen fish and chips. All great, thoroughly recommend Sea Rocket Oyster House
Good food and drinks...but the service!
These was one of the best meals Ive eaten. And the service was amazing. Must eat here if you are visiting Charlottetown.
Amazing spot. The food here is on point. Had the fish tacos with kale Ceasar on the side, and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. Jessica was also super friendly and knowledgeable about their items and local beer and spirits. Ill definitely plan on coming back here.
Good seafood place, nice cocktails, good services. Oddly, no lobster served here. The price went up quite a bit over the last few while, I believe more than the inflation.
Great place for seafood and oysters, good service
The tuna steak sandwich was amazing! Would go again for sure
Magical
Quality of food and service is always exceptional. But their portions have gotten smaller and prices significantly higher. We used to be regulars but its become a more fine dining restaurant.
Our favourite spot to eat in Charlottetown. The atmosphere is great and the food is always spot on.
Amazing new place in Ctown. Went this summer and will be back. Everything is five star.
Food was great
One of my favorite places!
The food was just ok, and the service was slow. We waited 40 minutes for our appetizer, and an hour and a half for our main. We ordered the crab dip appetizer. The warm pita wedges and chips were fine, but the consistency of the dip was very thin and runny. The boom burger was tasty. The fish taco had a very small portion of fish smothered in a cinantro- heavy sauce. Will not be returning here. The food was definitely not worth the price. The servers were attentive, but the kitchen staff leaves much to be desired.
The main courses (salmon and haddock) were extremely well prepared and tasty. Everything was very fresh. Good service too!
This is a great downtown oyster house. Fantastic cocktails Food
The food and service were amazing, but the atmosphere was truly beautiful. The inside was spectacular, even the bathrooms!! A must see.
excellent service and delicious food-the scallops with the corn bread croutons were amazing!!!
We went because they had a good selection of GF meals. We ordered and other tables who had ordered just before or after us got their food. We waited and waited, server ignored us even when we tried to get his attention. After at least 30 mins waiting we asked someone else what was happening he left and didnt come back for awhile. Others now were finishing their meals. We had to wave down the guy who was checking and he said it would be another 20 minutes. Server then came and said kitchen was backed up, but didnt explain why others got their food. We said we couldnt wait and left. They should have given an update if meal was delayed. I think they lost our order and hadnt started it yet. Dietary restrictions: Good selection of GF meals.
Great atmosphere and tasty interesting food. We had tuna katsu sandwich and smash burger. The burger was good, but not as creative as tuna katsu sandwich, which I have never had and was amazing. Definitely recommend it. Service was friendly. Decor was very modern and comfy environment. Location is right at downtown Charlottetown. Didn t get to try the seafood here but heard was great.
Don t go hungry! Portion size small and it was just okay! Very long waits between drinks, apps and entrees
Our server Maddy was exceptional. Wonderful place for dinner!
Good food, good service , reasonably priced
I like that the menu is not big. The food is good. Our service was good
Loved our night there. Highlights were the oysters, charcuterie, and chicken sandwich. We drank a lot, hence the $$ is so large.
Incredible food, great atmosphere, a gorgeous building. Best of all was Elizabeth our server, she was a delight. Good luck with the hockey Elizabeth! I took pics of the moule frites and truffle fries but when the mains came they were so good we dived in and forgot to take pics! A superb downtown restaurant Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian, and no vegan options
great oysters
Great service. Awesome ambiance Food was delicious Food : 5/5
Waitstaff was amazing, beer was cold, oysters were fresh. The kiddo loved the chicken sandwich she got. Outdoor seating was also a great perk. Highly recommend.
Oysters were delicious, and the wait staff was a little slow. Curious to try the rest of the menu.
Excellent service and food, the oysters are brilliantly fresh and tasty, will go back for the oysters!
The oysters were amazing! And good placement of restaurant in old Charlottetown. The service was a bit slow (especially outside) but it mightve been because the terrasse was full and divided in 2 parts, as well as we were a sunday with the flea market beside.
Great seafood experience on the island!
Kind of a let down on my part. For an Oyster House to have only two types of oyster on a Friday night seems strange to me, especially when we were coming from a simple brewery that had more options. The service was not really good either, almost no interaction with our waitress, no explanation for the wine or the oysters. I think theres some better address on the street.
First time here, great food and service. will definitely be back. Maybe lower the background music volume a little.
A bit loud but a great variety of oysters.
I Wish I could rate the food but we left before even getting to that part. We waited 15-20 minutes and no server came to talk to us or give us a menu. We weren t the only ones, a table next to us was in the same boat at us. The only time somebody talked to us was when we left, the owner thanked us for coming . And it wasn t because they were understaffed, just weird management I think. The food seemed good, very disappointing we couldn t try it.
We loved our experience at Sea Rocket Oyster House. Fresh seafood! Fishnets and large bulb lights scattered the ceiling, creating an ambient experience. We tried oysters, lobster roll, crab dip, salmon curry over rice, and a caramel ganache tart. Delicious food!
Stopped in late Friday night on the patio to enjoy oysters and live music. Tuna was divine.
Wow. Everything we ate here was so fantastic-- Tuna Katsu and Chicken Sandwich were delicious, hearty and so flavourful, and the chickpea salad BLEW our minds. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for the best lunch in town. Cleaned our plates within 5 minutes. :)
Nice food, nice oysters with good variety. Waiter was also really cool, and accepted my dad s weird request for 3 oysters, some whip cream and a candle for my birthday cake
Fantastic haddock.
This place came highly recommended by our hotel front desk staff, so we had high expectations. The food here was just okay, and the wine list wasnt very extensive. On the other hand, they always seemed to have a table available regardless of time on a weekend evening.
Service was great they found a spot even though we did not have a reservation. Definitely a new fav spot.
We have been here a few times, but this time had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Richard. Super nice guy, and we really enjoyed hearing a bit about how he started on his journey to owning Sea Rocket and also our favourite restaurant in Charlottetown, The Pilot House. Sea Rocket has such a great atmosphere. We love sitting at the bar. The food was great: oysters of course, plus my husband had steak (which he says is by far the best steak at any restaurant on the island), and I had fish and chips, which is excellent, although there are SO MANY other dishes I would LOVE to try but cannot unless they can make dairy free for me. We dont live on the island full time but cant wait to come back and dine here again! Claire and Dan
Great place , owner is a great human. Bar attendant Chino is the best. Highly recommend.
Fantastic! Loved the oyster roll!
Super fresh oysters and great fish tacos and fish and chips! Delish!
I had a very good dinner on Monday and repeated it on Friday.
We were on holidays from Victoria BC and stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening. The service was incredibly slow. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Took 25 minutes just to get the appetizer. We had Fish and Chips for our main course, which took almost an hour, and it was nothing to get excited over. Definitely do not recommend it.
Food was great, didnt wait too long, service was excellent. The crew went out of their way to accommodate us, or we just got lucky Met some new friends there, had a great time. Parking: Downtown so yeah you need to find parking first or get dropped off
Great food with 5-star service. We started with 6 Island oysters, all labelled so we could see exactly where they were from. The salmon tartar was another surprise. It tasted so fresh with the buttermilk cucumber. We had Scallops and Tuna Katsu as Mains. Tuna Katsu is rarely found on the Island. Though it was a bit over cooked (not as juicy as what it supposed to be), l loved the caramelized cabbage and apple slaw, they brightened the whole thing. Scallops were cooked with pork belly. The latter was tender while scallops were appropriately done! We had kids with us and they did offer kids menu at $12 each. We had a great dinner and definitely will come again.
Fresh oysters, delicious buttery lobster roll, tasty drinks, and great vibes. Definitely a must try for anyone visiting.
Very nice, Awesome baked oysters!
Very lovely place, in a good location. It was recommended to us, and it didnt disappoint. But, Richard the owner is a great guy!! Go and visit...
Staff and food was delicious and excellent.
A great meal was had here tonight. All six of us were very happy we were here. The food was wonderful. Our server was on his game. He dealt with our questions with a smile and made us feel appreciated. I had the Steak Feature. Others had the Salmon and scallop dinners. It was enjoyed by all. Now if they add someplace to hang your coats and put some signs up on the bathroom doors. It would be a 5-star review. Really? We had to sit on our coats because there was no place to hang them. They did a great job repurposing the old Ann of Green Gables Chocolate factory.
Have visited several times for lunch. Service is usually quick. Menu selection is varied and there is something for everyone. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich! Prices are pretty reasonable given the state of things. Would recommend.
