125 Sydney St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1G5, Canada
Hip spot in an 1800s warehouse featuring creative comfort food & an upstairs cocktail lounge.
Ate here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The waiter was very nice. We ordered the braised island short rib and the pork belly and scallops. To be honest the portion size for the pork belly seemed a bit on the small side. However, the food was amazing! The braised island short rib was so delicious. The jus sauce was amazing. We had the PEI blueberry sundae (we requested not to have the sprinkles or whip cream) and the caramel crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was one of the best we’ve ever had.
An excellent venue downtown with a nice casual vibe and beautifully presented main dishes. It was an excellent meal and probably the best one while in Charlottetown.
Our waitress on Sept 14, 2024, upstairs was amazing and such a pleasure to have serving us. She has a naturally warm and friendly approach to people. Loved the funky green velvet chairs and atmosphere. Beer was great too!!
Lovely spot. We were starving and excited to try this place, and we were not disappointed! Asparagus and mushroom toast appetizers were full of umami, very delicious and light (but still great portions for sharing). Blonde ale from Gahan house hit the spot, colliding tides seltzer and Brickhouse’s mocktail: Ginger Punch were all refreshing and exactly what we wanted. For mains we had the chicken bacon sandwhich, their burger, and the vegan eggplant dish. All 10/10 with crispy delicious fries and garlic aioli! Visiting from Halifax NS and would definitely come back. They also permitted us to have our bunny on the patio, and upon request brought us an extra strawberry to give to him as a treat. Ideal dining experience at the BrickHouse Kitchen & Bar. Cheers :-)
Chic and intimate atmosphere paired with amazing food. Went with friends and most of us had the short ribs which was delicious. No need for a knife as it just lays down on the fork, ready to be tasted. The lobster linguini was also a favorite. The cocktails were tasty and the service was attentive. A wonderful night with friends.
Limited menu and it takes a long time for it to come through. Our toast was soaked in butter and the soft bacon requested was made crispy instead . The falafels lacked flavor. Service was good. Overall , not a place I would repeat for brunch .
Had the Char Siu Pork Dumplings to start. Not a lot but, very tasty. I had the Seafood Chowder very good. In fact the best that I had on the trip (Point Prim Chowderhouse and Water’s Edge before this) and the wife had The Stacker Burger. Had to have a bite and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Drinks were great. Had a Vuelve a la Vida, Charcoal Baby and Southern Jam. We took desert to go and had the Triple Chocolate Expresso Cake. Ok, but I think it was because we took it to go that made it not as good. Shelby was the best waitress/hostess we met on our trip. Will be back. (August 10 visit)
The overall food is good, but it is overpriced for the quality. I ordered a flank steak with fries and the portion was disappointing. I get that at fine dining restaurants you get small portion, but you also get spectacularly culinary experience. We waited 1.5 hours for the food and it was not that special.
Top knotch food and ambiance. Suggest you go upstairs to their attic loft area.
We often spend a quiet lunch time here. I like Seafood Chowder here very much. The ambient lighting is suitable for dating or business entertainment. I like it here very much and recommend a trip to PEI to try it. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food is available.
Very nice and eclectic atmosphere. I ordered the maple glazed scallops and pork belly. The flavor was very good. Balanced sweetness with the rest of the seasoning. I m giving the food 3 stars because the portion was very small more like apps portion. The scallops were small and overdone. The pork belly portion was about 3-4 bite size and the potatoes were underdone. The picture of the dish on the website is more than twice the portion.
Had the calamari. Was overly greasy but sauce was tasty. Broken floor vents took away from atmosphere sounds picky, but it is the tip of the iceberg. Service was good - pleasant and helpful.
The food was delicious but the service was slow short ribs - five star butter basted cod - five star and the dumplings were off the charts I m not sure what went awry with our server but we waited an hour for our entrees.
Stopped here for brunch on their dog friendly patio. The service was great and they even brought water and treats for our dog. The eggs Benedict were quite good and the jam for the toast was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. If youre looking for a dog friendly patio to eat at in town, this would be the place Id recommend.
Great food and lovely interior. Staff very friendly and good atmosphere.
Decent food. Really lovely old building with wonderful staff.
The food and the service was excellent
absolutely must eat here!!! everything is amazing
Sooooo good!!! We just got to PEI and looked up good seafood and this place popped up. Very delicious!!! Great service!!! We actually visited twice in 2 days!! Thanks souch!!
Amazing food and service!!! Don t miss the Caesar salad and chocolate cake!!
i got the Lobster Rigatoni and it was AMAZING. Probably top 3 meals I ve had in my life.
We visited The Brickhouse this friday. We sat outside. Our server, brown hair, cant remember her name but she was so nice. We got the mussels with white wine and garlic, and the roasted asparagus. I would definitely recommend both. We finished with a chocolate espresso cake, and a white velvet bourbon night cap, that paired so well. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to make a reservation the next night to visit with family. We sat inside this time, great atmosphere.. and great lighting for photos if thats your thing. Our waitress, Shanika, I think was her name. So amazing, always making sure waters were full and we were happy. We started with the Muhammara a roasted red pepper dip, the perfect amount of chips/naan to go with the dip. For entrees the table got, the mac and cheese, loaded fries, and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, everyone was very happy. I got the Lobster rigatoni, it was fabulous! I had a chat with who I believe to be the manager, Emily, the day before. I mentioned my position at a bar back where Im from, and she took the time to bring me a drink from a secret menu for me to try. It had almond, pineapple and coconut. Delicious! Wish I got the recipe myself! Overall an excellent dinning experience. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a satisfying meal and great service. 10/10 Will be back my next visit to the island! Thank you <3
Great food and good prices for downtown Charlottetown. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy, so that was somewhat expected. Some of the best mussels Ive ever had. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free burger buns. Kid-friendliness: Decent kids menu.
DELICIOUS lobster rigatoni and calamari. Kid-friendliness: A great kids menu. Food : 5/5 |
Excellent service and food! Highly recommend the loaded fries and the chicken burger! Huge portion of PEI mussels appetizer.
Great food. Great service. And dog friendly patio! They were great with our pup and brought dog treats for her.
We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at the Brickhouse. The food was original and amazing and the servers very graciously accommodated on the patio in spite of the rain. We will definitely be back.
Great place to sit down and have great food with 5 star service. Prices are great food is delicious. Thank you!
Had higher expectations for this place. Told the wait staff numerous times about someone in the party w an allergy and they still brought food out w that item. This was so frustrating. We also asked for a side salad in addition to the dish ordered and they substituted it instead. Also, part of the meat was burned and didn t taste good. For the price I would ve expected a more superior experience. Hopefully they train their staff and do better.
We were a large group and the waitress and hostess were fantastic. Food and drinks were great.
Such a quaint place with fabulous food and impeccable service.
Very nice Restaurant in Charlettown. Ambiente was very nice, modern. We eat Stacked Burger , they were delicious. The Brickhouse got our recommendation. Food
The stack burger is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated burger. Worth the trip. Had a lovely evening meal on the patio.
The halibut was pretty dry. Could have used a sauce of some sort.
Food and service were great. The restaurant was packed as it was Mothers Day so the atmosphere was very loud. That is to be expected on a busy day but it did detract from the overall experience. Other than that, it was a lovely meal.
Got in quickly when other places were lined up, lovely service, cozy chairs and nice atmosphere
Over a month ago, we had dinner here. What a lovely spot! We had the mushroom toast which was delicious and my meal (the roast chicken) also. My spouse ordered the braised island shortrib... We do not recommend! It was mostly fat, the potatoes were not crispy, there was no jus... It was barely edible. The waiter did not come check on us once and when he finally did, my spouse mentioned he thought this meal was awful and did not enjoy it. Our serber replied with Oh well, thats unfortunate. And proceeded to charge us the full amount for a mostly uneaten meal that was inedible. As their most expensive item on the menu, do better! Its a shame that such a restaurant treats its customers this way. We have never had good experiences with Murphy group restaurants such as Gahan house and will def not being going back after the awful service we got.
This place is absolutely fantastic and the service is wonderful. My partner and I decided to order dinner tonight to celebrate my late fathers 70th birthday. In our order, I asked them if it was possible to do something special with our food to make it meaningful and memorable. I was not expecting to cry tonight. The team there went the extra mile with our order by sending us a delicious dessert and even sent a card that left me in tears from the compassion that they showed. The food was absolutely delicious, and I will 100% be returning to them whether it is for in person dining ordering again. Thank you for the kind words and for the beyond delicious food tonight. The extra mile Brickhouse went through for my order means more to me than all of you possibly know.
I take my husband here every year for his birthday. My husband had the scallop crudo it was not very good. The scallops we cut way too thick and very fishy. I had the seared duck with risotto. The risotto was so overcooked. Will NOT be back.
The chicken and waffles was next level! I brought a book to read while eating brunch and they put me upstairs in a comfy chair next to the window. I wish I lived in P.E.I. because I d be there all the time.
I loved my visit to Brickhouse and their buckets and bubbles deal is AMAZING! The chicken is perfectly crispy and I will be dreaming about that pickle pasta salad! Plus the pairing of it all with prosecco is so fun! The service was impeccable as well and everyone working was so incredibly kind and attentive!
Among my favorite restaurants in Charlottetown. Everything is always delicious!
Nice evening, good food, amazing service:)
Awesome - food was delicious and service was great!
Its awesome the food is awesome cozy comfortable recommended place to eat
Very horrible people very shabby place I throw party for 20 people and it was so horribly treat by there staff Miss Eli makes us feel so uncomfortable and they just back off from everything at last moment The staff make us feel racism Non committed people My check is $2200. Still they treat us like baggers
I am deeply disappointed with the experience my partner and I had at Brickhouse, where we chose to host our wedding dinner. Despite having our reservation confirmed, the quality of service deteriorated significantly leading up to and during our event. From the outset, we had to constantly remind them of basic needs, which made us feel neglected and undervalued as customers. What truly compounded our disappointment was the rude and dismissive attitude we encountered whenever we made even the smallest request and were called names upon. On what was meant to be the happiest day of our lives, we were subjected to treatment that left us feeling terrible and disrespected. It seemed evident that the staff were intentionally dismissive, and the manner in which they interacted with us gave the impression of racial bias, which is completely unacceptable. Moreover, the managers behaviour towards members of our family was utterly disrespectful and out of line. Instead of ensuring that our party was accommodated properly, they made us feel unwelcome and inconvenienced. As a result, we were unable to fully enjoy our celebration, as we were preoccupied with addressing the inadequate service and disrespectful treatment we received. It is evident that Brickhouse restaurant took advantage of our vulnerability, both financially and emotionally, knowing that we would be hesitant to cause a scene on such an important occasion. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and basic decency is appalling, and I would strongly advise against anyone considering this establishment for any event. Our experience was marred by incompetence, rudeness, and a lack of professionalism, and it is clear that Brickhouse restaurant has a long way to go in terms of improving their standards of service and customer care.
First time there at dinner. Server Ally was amazing. Incredible food. Definitely a place to go back to again and again.
Went to the Brickhouse Kitchen for my birthday and enjoyed the meal. Place: Cosy two floor brickwall atmosphere. Nice decor with an open kitchen at the entrance. Service: Friendly, quick but they did missn one place setting on our table, no biggie. Food: Food was fresh, well presented but a little pricey. The calamari starter was very tasty and tender with a little chili zip which was refreshingly different. The main dish was the braised rib, the haddock and the duck. All were tasty and fresh. Conclusion: Food was good, a little pricey but different from what you normally find around the area. They cater to the gourmet crowd. PS, there is a kids menu.
I dined at Brickhous in 2012 and had the best meal of my life. I returned in Summer of 2023 with a group of friends and family, after telling them of my experience over a decade ago. We were not disappointed. A table of 6 and we all agreed it was the best meal we each have had. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect (classy, but not uptight). If you go to Charlottetown and dont go to Brickhouse you have made a great error in your planning. On an island filled with excellent dining options, Brickhouse is the best restaurant on the island in my friends and Is opinions. Will return on our next visit to the island for sure and HIGHLY recommend to anyone.
Great place!
Worst meal I ve ever had. $142 dog dish
This one of the best restaurants in PEI. Love their food. You can find vegetarian options here as well. Perfect place for a date Vegetarian options: Nice options for vegitarians and vegans
Went to the Brickhouse for a work party and it was pretty nice! The vibes were relaxing yet pumped and food/drinks were great!
They re still trying to figure out their new menu - feedback burger is over cooked and lamb shank needs more sauce. Beef tartar and mash potatoes were missing flavour (or at least leave salt on the table). Hope this helps staff to improve dishes that could otherwise be amazing. Service was great
Good food, friendly crew.
Delicious!
Excellent spot
We happened to be in Charlottetown looking for a place to eat and came across the Brickhouse. We were very glad we did. Nice atmosphere, really great friendly service, and a good selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed our burger, and the scotch selection was quite nice!
Very good food Great value and excellent service Food
Food is amazing, service is great as well. Music feels off with the atmosphere. Maybe instead of pop music jazz or blues would be better? Just a suggestion.
Beautiful decor inside, very warm and cozy feel. We had the calamari, dill chicken burger, scallop pasta and the burgers. Definitely recommend! Everyone loved their dishes and the presentation was spot on. Will forsure come back.
Great first time experience!
Excellent all around. Whenever we are in Charlottetown we go there.
Unfortunately they dont know how to properly season the food. The lamb shank and short rib were lacking salt big time! The ceasar salad was lacking dressing. I didnt receive my grilled veg with the short rib. I wont be returning!
The Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar is good. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared. The different levels give different vibes. The food is good, but nothing that we had was exceptional. Service was top notch.
Such a cool place to have a pint
Such great beer selection, delicious seafood chowder, and the warm brownie was to die for. Very fair prices and lovely servers.
We decided to travel to PEI mid morning and spent the entire day driving from one end to the other and back again! We decided to stop into the Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar for a meal before heading home. While it was nearing their closing house, the wait staff was amazing and we were able to eat and finish up before closing. The food was amazing, very fresh tasting and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxed! Such a great place and looking forward to our next visit. Parking: Free parking after hours.
Great place. Had the best calamari Ive ever had here and the best halibut. Parking: 2 hour max Food : 5/5 |
We just had drinks at the bar upstairs but the craft cocktails were very good and the bartender very nice. Cool atmosphere was fun too.
We were a group of 25 and they looked after us with all the care you would expect as a group of 2. The food was amazing as usual?
We had Lobster mac and cheese, it was excellent.
A great place to stop in for brunch with friends! This historic building is very quirky and modernized inside, with beautiful artwork displayed on the walls and nice dim lighting. Huge, well-stocked bar upstairs with a large variety of spirits to cater to all your cocktail needs. The plating was a bit messy, but dont let that off-put you - the food was delicious and the dishes were quite large, everything was very filling. A bit on the pricier side overall, but worth it for a treat. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available for breakfast/brunch. Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free milk is available for coffee.
Doesn t taste as good as it looks. Both the ambience and the menu look great, but the taste, not so much.
Ive eaten here 10-15 times. And by far the biggest reason for coming back is the exceptional and friendly service from Kristen. Bar none the best server Ive ever had (especially when shes bartending ) And Ive been traveling and on the road for 25 + years. Keep up the great work Kristen
Great food and service space is amazing. great anytime of day.
Excellent cuisine
Went here with a group of 5 around 12pm and waited an hour and a half for our food. The waitress was very polite and friendly and continued to check on us throughout our wait. Though the food was good, the portions were relatively small for the price.
Quick bite in the morning. Everything we ordered was tasty and the bill was satisfactory. I would return for dinner.
Visited with high hopes and an empty belly for an early birthday meal. We waited 15 min just for drinks. Ordered 2 apps and the seafood chowder all of which were delicious and quite frankly the best part of the meal. We then waited 30 min for our meal which visually was so disappointing. Some steak and a few potatoes, nothing green, nothing dressy. Steak was very tasty but cold. My husbands pork belly was all fat. My sons lamb was very good. My bff chicken sandwich was good but only potatoe with it. Most restaurants of this price range should have way better presentation for the price. We would not return here. Not a good bang for your buck for sure!! It was a Wednesday evening.
Great spot downtown Charlottetown. Local brews and cider, this cider was great! Seafood chowder was fabulous. They were being slammed when we arrived with no reservations and offered us a spot at the counter where we could watch the magic happening in the kitchen. I honestly dont know why anyone would do that work. They worked great, as a team and the food flowed out. Happy place, good food, good drinks, good service.
Really cool vibe! Shared calamari, brussels sprouts and burger. Calamari and burger/fries were amazing. The brussels sprouts came out soggy and tasted boiled but were still too firm. Our server took them back to cook them longer but they just came back soggier and saltier. Our server took them away and didn t charge us- I appreciated the way she handled the situation and was very pleased with the service overall. Would definitely return again!
Amazing food! It changed my life...
This was a nice spot for dinner. The food and service were both good. We had the cheese dip, the pork belly and scallop, and the short rib. Everything was very tasty! I would go back.
This is one of the best places I have been in PEI. The staff was soo nice, they really went above and beyond. The food was excellent, the best meal I have had in a while. We had 10 people with mostly different meals, all were delicious, and there were no complaints from anyone. All the food came out at the same time, even though 2 people had ordered quite a bit later. Amazing job Brickhouse, you should be proud of the staff tonight! Highly recommend!
Nice spot in downtown Charlottetown. Food was delicious. We both had scallop dishes which were cooked perfectly. We waited a bit for our meals but understandably as the restaurant was full and the team in the kitchen (who you could see on the main level) were working hard to keep everything moving. Had a couple of cocktails first. The Slow Burn is their version of an old fashioned. Not too sweet and comes smoked which made for a neat presentation. All in all a nice experience.
Cozy and warm. The food was good, but not $90 after taxes and tip good. The duck was a bit tough and the steak was nothing special. The orzo that came with the duck was fantastic though.
I try to get here each time I visit the Island. Tonight the three of us all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which is unusual for my family, and the service was great! Kristen took very good care of us. Thanks for another great experience.
Its s chic. Service was very speedy, attentive and friendly. Food was good. As I was almost finished my meal, I saw one of the cooks enter the washroom (and stay for a while...) with vinyl (food prep) gloves on. She came back out of the washroom with what I have to assume was the same gloves on her hands. She used the hand sanitizer dispenser by the stairs. Washroom breaks deserve fresh gloves!
Let me clear, Briar is why this place is five stars instead of four. She was honest, helpful, and kind. Always quick to serve and drive to make everything. But everyone that touched the table was amazing tbh. The you g lady who poured the wine, guess she took a class, was funny and sweet. The food runner was also very nice. The food...well I guess its a new menu and still needs some tweaks. I had the mussels in the honey herb butter. Tasted no different than mussels in white wine, as white wine was the base. If you wanna change things up make it a curry or tomato based (do the curry). The lobster grilled cheese was missing something. I think butter, even better, the sauce that was in the mussels (honey butter or not). The bread was dry on the outside missing the buttery goodness of the classic sammy. Would I come back again hell yes, with a staff like you have, this is the. Eat place in the commerical district
By far the best restaurant I ve been to in a long time. Note the portions are a bit smaller, but the atmosphere, the service and the taste of the food make up for it in such a massive way. worth the price tag all day long. Dietary restrictions: Each line item on the menu indicated DF or GF many options in which sauces or spices could be easily remove to cater to your restrictions.
One of the best meals I ve had in a long time. It was very tasty! I had the roast chicken and hubby had the dill grilled chicken sandwich. Both were excellent! Our server was excellent as well! Try the Polenta (cornmeal) fries - you won t be disappointed! Sounds gross but they were really good. All-in-all a wonderful combination of tastes for both of our meals! And not a bad price! Dietary restrictions: Showed all special diet items on the menu!
Food was pretty good. Short ribs was amazing but didnt come with any veg. Some issues with temp of pasta. Dessert was ok.... Would still rank above some other nearby experiences. We would go again.
Nice place
Great service, atmosphere and our dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection! The team was able to prepare gluten-free meals for us but above all safe for coeliacs!!!!
Delicious burger and fries!!! Bartender ladies were great. Highly recommend
Great food , welcoming staff , Very good experience in PEI . Food
Definitely a spot to put on your restaurant list when in Charlottetown. Excellent food and a great atmosphere.
Forget Slaymaker, this is where its at: the best restaurant in Charlottetown that Ive been to.
We had a bench seat that was uncomfortably low and the back was broken on one side...
The food and service were both so lovely. The asparagus was to die for and the cocktails were unreal. Highlight of Charlottetown, thank you
Awesome little pub! Great breakfast, bacon jelly on the benedict blew my mind!
One of the best restaurants in Charlotte town. Mushroom toast was amazing!!
Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. We were looking for a good burger and it was excellent, as were the fries and Ceasar Salad. The only burger ( outside of the breakfast burgers) was a double patty which was a little too much food for me but I ate most of it as it was delicious. Would go again for sure.
Very good food, nice variety to the menu, pleasant quick service - recommend for a nice dinner in a cozy atmosphere
Visiting from Montreal, great food, and service. Will definitely eat here again. Food
The food is very delicious.
The seafood chowder at this place is unparalleled a rich medley of fresh, perfectly cooked seafood in a creamy, flavorful broth. Each spoonful is a delight. On the other hand, the chicken burger with sweet potato fries held its own with a well-seasoned patty and a balance of textures. The sweet potato fries, crispy on the outside and tender inside, added a delightful touch. A dining experience that successfully combines the best of land and sea flavors.
Friendly staff, great food and good prices !
Love the atmosphere, food was very good, service excellent, drinks unique and delicious.
I do not recommend this place. The food was overpriced, unseasoned and lacked taste. The beharnaise came broken, the mussles were not washed and had crustation, the meat was obviously not seasoned before or after cooking... I could go on. But even if the dishes had been executed to perfection, the prices belonged to a casual fine dining experience/promise, which the plates did not deliver. For a four top (with 2 drinks each) amounting to a total bill of over $350 (tip not yet included), it would take a lot to make this worth the price. The people serving were friendly and polite, but suffered from being understaffed. This was altogether a bizarre experience, that left us feeling like we had been robbed. To try to explain why this happened, I can only be reminded of a conversation I had with the hostess when she brought Gahan s branded glasses of water. Is this place owned by Gahan s? , I asked. Yes, the Gahan s in front, Sim s Corner, next to it , as well as Fishbone Oyster Bar & Grill and Merchantman Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar on other downtown streets are all owned by the MURPHY HOSPITALITY GROUP . Considering they operate a near monopoly on Downtown restaurants, it would explain why they can get away with serving subpar food, and probably laugh all the way to the bank while reading this review.
Great food and service
Not to be missed when you are in Charlottetown! The food is delicious and original in taste and presentation. The staff are friendly and the service impeccable. Special thanks to Brady and Emily who made our night so memorable.
Lovely staff, cosy surroundings, good location, quick service and delicious food.
Extremely sad experience! Will not return.
Awesome spot.
Food and drinks were amazing, great portion sizes. Service was impeccable. Lovely date spot downtown Charlottetown!
Terrible service and attitude from the staff. Would not recommend. We showed up as a party of 5, understandable it was a busy weekend, but when we asked for a table they said We dont have a table and did not continue the conversation. They didnt try and provide a wait time, offer us to split up our party, or even apologize that they were busy. They then proceeded to help the group behind us. I thought they were still talking to our party, so I said, Excuse me, and the server at the front said, No, Im not talking to you. A very rude and unnecessary interaction overall. They definitely need to retrain their front staff.
Great food great atmosphere.
Had a wonderful experience here for brunch. The food was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. They allowed us to sit with our dogs on the patio and enjoy a great meal. The pork belly eggs benedict was amazing, and the brickhouse breakfast was delicious with great portion size. Would highly recommend, and we will be returning to this place while in Charlottetown.
Tried to make reservations for 11 people 2 weeks ago and were told they do not take reservations for groups .. Showed up this evening (2 of us) and a group of 14 came in with reservations (what!) Whatever! My husband order salmon which was delicious (presentation in a very large bowl was ridiculous on a very skimp bed of lentils, but the salmon was spot on), I had a falafel concoction in a bowl which came in a boat it was dry as saw dust on a bed of dry couscous. Come guys challenge yourselves . You can do better than this.
The seared scallop orecchiette are to die for, oh my god! Abby was our waitress and was really great. I just hopped we had more time in PEI to eat here again and again. Simply WOW!!
Excellent restaurant and attentive service. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The dishes are well presented. Small pleasant terrace. A place to go for lovers of fresh products prepared with originality and attention to detail.
This is definitely one of PEI hidden Gem... service here prestine and impeccable. All the servers work as one unit and the food, drinks and service is non stop. Professionald not invasive to your private conversation... The only thing is price are a bit higher that other restaurant but the service received most definitely make up for it... So, soooooo good...Highly recommend this place and will definitely return.
We went to this restaurant twice on our recent vacation to PEI. Our server, Noah, was fantastic. My son has severe food allergies and they were very accommodating. The chef took the menu and put checkmarks beside all of the food that he could eat safely. I would recommend this lovely spot!
First off, the restaurant is beautiful. Next I want to mention that though it is beautiful and the decor says upscale, we went for dinner with two young children and we were surprised at how family-friendly this establishment is. The kids ate every single bite. I had quite possibly the best calamari Ive ever tasted. We raved about this meal all night.
Amazing sea food and drinks here! Definitely worth trying while in town.
Food was good. Noisy so dont try to have a business meeting. There are lots of great restaurants in Charlottetown and this one is on the pricier side and the mediocre end for food.
Food was amazing!
This is likely one of the best restaurants I have visited. Its three stories, with dinning on the ground floor and a very comfy lounge on the third. We went during a live music performance and the singer was very good. The food was ridiculously delicious and well definitely return on our next visit.
Seafood chowder is excellent!
Good service and smilly people. We had the nachos with some beers and cocktails. Drinks were pretty good. The starter was quite nice too with a sheddar sauce and different breads.
Everything was gourmet!! Loved it!!
Great food, lovely staff and excellent service.
Ambiance is good, location is good but there are few options for vegetarian m, we had good feedback for this restaurant but was not upto the mark accordingly. Food was not that much tasty as expected, May we didn t like due to preset high expectations.
Food was delicious, I myself got the lobster mac and cheese and it was made to perfection! Our waiter was lovely and very professional. I really enjoyed the lounge vibe they had. One critic if I must, the washroom was out of soap and the garbage was overflowing a bit. They seemed busy though so that s probably the reason for the neglect. Highly recommend this spot though!
A delicious dinner and great service. The cocktails I selected were a bit sweet for my taste, but my husbands was delicious!
4 of us went there, 2 of us ordered Ed rare steak, came to us well done, sent back & it took all most a hour to get it again. We had the lamb which was perfect, & burger which was also good & fries. The server was extremely nice too bad about the steaks though
Good food good customer service. Nice ambiance
I tried the white wine and mushroom dumplings. Both of which were divine! The servers were super cool to talk to and the environment is very clean and, might I add, very fancy! It was a lovely time!
We always enjoy this restaurant. The food is always very tasty, beer always cold and service is constantly excellent.
Visited the Brickhouse several times in 2018/2019. In 2022 we expected the same good food and service. We were wrong. The server seemed to be very new and struggled. Our dinner orders arrived one hour after ordering. One of our group was served burnt vegetables and overcooked fish. The place seems to be run by a bunch of college aged kids. The atmosphere wasnt great. Very disappointing.
Their scallop pasta is amazing.
One appetizer had 3 items. As a sharable I thought there would be at least 4 Waitress wasnt too attentive...asked for salt she gave two pepper shakers and was unavailable until we were almost done with eating. The harissa chicken was flavorless and a major letdown. Other items were good but not really justified at the price point.
We liked this place very much. The atmosphere is great and food is fantastic.
Every single bite we had was a tasty experience. We have muscles, scallops / pork belly, falafel and tequila cocktails. Vibes at the restaurant were great, a gem locations on what was a great visit to Charlottetown. Mouth watering as I write this and think of it
Good food (had the pan seared haddock). Service was great, nice laid back atmosphere. Lack of options on menu only real knock...
Food and service was amazing, but very expensive.
I especially like the stone fruit salad, it shall be an eternal menu. And I know I have a particular requirement on my cocktail, and lady for the bar, she is ultra-nice that helps me adjust my cocktails for five times, and also changed a drink for my friend. She is very lovely, and thanks for her service eventually brought me happiness in this very unlucky day.
I had the best burger in a long time.
Very good food and service in a cozy atmosphere. Ask for the scallops they are to die for . My must on every visit in Charlottetown.
First time eating there was tasty Kid-friendliness: Kids meal was big good decent price Food : 4/5 |
First time dining and everything was on point. Service, meal, atmosphere and our server was 5 star. Will be back.
Great experience. Steak was cooked perfectly, the Bacon Chipotle Mac & Cheese was very tasty, not drowning in sauce. Portions were just right. Would have been 5 stars but for the fact we had to move once because it was so cold, and then we asked for the AC to be turned off. Also $5 for bread and butter....??? Our server Logan was super polite and efficient.
Awsome place, food portion werent crazy and to leave room for dessert. Issue with AC but was fixed by attentive staff.
Delicious entrees, salmon cooked to perfection, and fantastic deserts. Service was prompt and courteous. Would return.
The best restaurant I went while been at Prince Edward Island. Totally recommended. The oysters were delicious
YUM. The service was incredible and the staff was very friendly. We had coconut curry mussels which were sooo fresh and tasty, lobster wontons which were incredible, and the chipotle honey chicken tostada (my favourite) was very unique and had a ton of flavour. My husband got the truffle parm fries and wasn t the biggest fan (he said they tasted like they d been sitting out for a while), however, the beer made up for it. The cocktails were very unique and very delicious. The chilli + peach was to die for. Can t wait to come back!
Great eating establishment
Best thing about this restaurant was leaving . No return visit for us! Halibut tasteless and salty. Lobster roll stale and skimpy....money back please
Their patio has a really nice warm ambiance. The food arrived super quickly and was great. On top of that the chef insisted on topping my dogs steak treat with pea shoots after researching that they were dog safe
An elegant atmosphere, the epitome of fine dining experience. A great blend of modern mixed with old. The demographic reaches from the millennial to the experienced, all aspects of the menu delights even the most pickiest of eaters. Started with the beef carpaccio, tuna tartar and the mussels, not one meal disappointed our hungry pallet. Finished the meal with a scallop pasta to die for. It had fresh elements with the water crest that brightened the dish and the peas made it earthy. Hands down an experience for the ages. Reservations are highly suggested, we were lucky enough to find a place at the bar where we had a very pleasant conversation with the friendliest bartender. Kudos to the staff and the cooks for a one of a kind experience!!
I am not sure how.or why this place would get a bad review because this was not our experience. Beautiful decor. .The Service was top notch with all the servers wishing my wife a happy bday , wonderful desert tray sent to our table. I had the Pork Belly and Scallops(cooked to perfection) with the lobster wontons as an app...it was all.off the charts.Im hooked!
A little bit pricy, but food is nice and servers are friendly. Tuna tartare and steak frites, mocktail, and desserts are very good.
Went to a lot of restaurants during our vacation and this was our favourite. Was great all 3 times we came here. The atmosphere is very nice and theyve got some of the best live music. Food is also amazing and their cocktails were impressive.
A busy place on a Friday night but we got a spot. Good food and attentive service.
