With a definite focus on great steak and seafood, Hunter’s Ale House prides itself on serving Charlottetown’s favorite pub fare. Hunter’s focuses its attention to filling the guests’ belly and to never have a guest leave hungry or unsatisfied. With our two outdoor patios our guests are able to experience the hot summer sun and gentle breeze from the Charlottetown Harbour. What better way to experience the beautiful downtown surroundings than with once of Hunter’s famous BIG BEERS s on our patio? If you are looking for a truly Island experience Hunter’s Ale House is just the place for you – Great Food, Great Rock, Lots of it!
Very good food and great service in addition to nice atmosphere and people
It's always our first stop when arriving in Charlottetown. It was originally suggested to us by a security guard in the parking lot (thank you so much!) The staff is so friendly, and the food is amazing! Highly recommend anything from the menu, but especially the pulled pork Sammy or the fish and chips along with a local beer!
I ordered the all-you-can-eat ribs, which is the Thursday night special, and it came with a large amount of mashed potatoes and some other vegetables. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. I appreciated the friendly greeting at the door (possibly the manager) when I arrived, and my server provided excellent service. Well done guys!
We visited Hunter’s Ale House yesterday during our trip to PEI. We ordered nachos for appetizers, and for our main meals, we had seafood & carbonara pasta, a pork sandwich, and a quesadilla. While the nachos were decent, the service left something to be desired. After we finished the nachos, our server cleared only the plates, leaving the dirty napkins on the table until our main meals arrived. The pasta was disappointing—plain in taste and lacking a creamy sauce. However, the pork sandwich and quesadilla were better. Overall, the experience was mixed, earning it a 3-star rating.
Good evening coming from New Brunswick for the family day weekend to see my daughter in Charlottetown hunters is always our go to restaurant we love the food and surroundings eating out on the patio etc. But this evening we ordered our food for take out as my daughter just had a baby 3 weeks ago and her grandparents are also over for a visit and wanted to eat here at our air b&b . We placed our order for 8 adults and 2 very young children. The order came to 256.53 . When my daughter went to pay the order total given to her was 296.68 as the restaurant automatically added a tip of 40.15 . I’m not trying to sound cheep as we always tip wherever we go to eat. But to automatically add a tip amount has left a bad taste in my mouth
Hunter’s Ale house for their Burger Battle entry, the Crispy Chicarron burger with a shared Dill Pickle poutine shared between us. The burger’s were really good! Caroline liked it, I loved it. Especially that pork belly, and the burger itself! And that Dill Pickle poutine was too much for us both and ended up going home as takeaway. Chips sprinkled with something akin to dill salt and vinegar popcorn topping, immersed in a lovely dill sauce with fresh herbs, onion, pickle bits and cheese. Lovely if you like dill, and Caroline loves it! I enjoyed it quite a bit, and we are both happy to have sampled the limited time offer before it disappears off of the menu. We shared a deep fried mars bar for dessert. I found it a bit rich, which didn’t stop us from almost licking the plate clean. :) Good food, good company and good service from Olivia! P.s. Their signature Philly Cheesesteak sandwich is amazing.
The mashed potatoes were the best part of my meal. The fish was dry and the scallops were on the verge of being over cooked. They were also slimy in their breading. The coleslaw does deserve honourable mention. The fries although crispy on the outside were dry inside..... Perhaps overcooked? The burger was lack luster. Should have gone to a fast food joint and the burger and fries would have been just as good. However if you are looking for a place to sit and drink, come on down. If you want to eat, find another stop.
Solid pub experience, first time ever visiting and I had the dinner feature which was a BLT wrap with soup. The restaurant was fairly clean. Staff seemed friendly, and our server Isabel was great! Portions were very large. Chicken was a bit dry on a few dishes though. Patio was lovely
Great as usual.
Great place great food
Parking: Street parking around the building. Food
Fabulous late night spot in Charlottetown. Kitchen is open until 1:30 am. Enjoyed our first meal on the island here. This is where everyone was at 1:30 in the morning!
Had deep fried mars bar. Delicious
Very bad customer service. Very mean servers.
Good service and the Pickles with beer on tap was delicious!
We had a fantastic lunch at Hunter s Ale. Pulled Pork Sammy, Fish n Chips were both great.
Good food.
Servers were very kind. Nachos and poutine were underwhelming. DJ and bouncers were unreasonably hostile. Will not return.
Good service, be careful on the terrace with the wasps
We last visited Hunters in Sept 2021 and in my opinion it has gone down hill. The background music is way too loud and anyone trying to carry on a conversation has to speak loudly making it even more loud. We had order the 1.5 lb mussels to share as an appetizer, these were the smallest mussels I have ever seen. One would have thought they would have a minimal harvesting size. They lacked any flavor and garlic was non existent. Not something I would order again at this location. The service was very good.
Great experience doing a trivia. Was a lot of fun!
Nice neighborhood spot with good beer selection and good pub grub
Awesom place.
My mother and I went to dinner. She had a seafood pasta that was loaded in various seafood and I had a 12oz Sirlion steak with breaded scallops. The food was excellent and our bill came to only $91.00. Great value and amazing food. I cant recommend them enough.
A bit off the main path of downtown. Had some flavourful poutine here! Not a lot of patrons when we were in and the service wasn t really on top of things.
Didnt eat but food looked great. Nice selection of beer and very friendly staff.
As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with smiles. The service was so nice, the food was AMAZING. Really nice spot, I highly recommend it Food : 5/5
Beautiful place, lovely service and amazing food!
Had a mushroom soup and corn beef sandwich, the lunch special. The soup was so salty it wasn t edible. The sandwich was on a nice fresh bread with two different kinds of cheese and mustard. There was no reduction on the bill or even sorry, for sending back the soup. The automatic gratuity tax starts at 18%??
Sat at the bar. I did not eat there but my buddies did. Said food was very good.
They serve 15 oz pints!! And charge for a pint.
Theres nothing exciting about this place. There are plenty of better options out there. We just went for a beer and a snack when we first arrived in Charlettetown. The beer options were weak but the poutine was decent. The server also forgot we asked for the cheque so we had to ask again after 10-15 minutes.
We had a great time! We went back again for music trivia. Great food and the staff are amazing. You have to go to this establishment!
A few weeks ago we ordered food there and they made the food wrong we gave them the benefit of the doubt so we called and they gave us a gift card. We reordered our food today and they still made it wrong and they did not give us back our gift card that had 10+ dollars on it still. And when we brought it up they said that s their policy and there s nothing anyone can do about it I do not suggest eating here!
Servers were great, gave good instructions on how today a whole lobster lol
We had fish and chips. The fish was overcooked and coating burned on the bottom. The fries were so hard and burnt we couldnt eat them. The fish was buried under the fries and the coleslaw, although was good, it too was buried, under the fish and fries. Was finally given some decent fries but by then fish was cold. Not happy with food at all. Wait staff was good though.
Worst service imaginable...food was less than average...Do Not waste your time or money
Wow... What a mediocre meal!
I recently visited Beer Garden with five friends, and while everything started off well, the experience quickly deteriorated. A waitress informed us halfway through our meal that we needed to pay part of our bill, as another server would be taking over. We agreed and asked if we could order more food, only to be told the kitchen was closed. We werent informed about the kitchen closing time, which would have allowed us to place a final order in time. The manager suggested we order from Hunters Ale across the street, as it is owned by the same company. Unfortunately, the experience at Hunters Ale was even worse. The staff there were incredibly rude and displayed racist behavior. I had to call the server multiple times to place a simple order. She kept walking away mid-order, forcing me to call her back repeatedly. When we returned to Beer Garden with our food, we had to call the servers several times just to get cutlery, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. The staff at Hunters Ale were new since I have been to hunters multiple times, but that doesnt excuse the lack of basic customer service skills. Both the manager and the staff at both restaurants were rude and unkind, which is a significant departure from my previous experiences at Hunters Ale. I give good rating for the atmosphere and food since the band and live music was good, but the service is horrible, and I would never suggest anyone to go there. Upstreet or ponyboat also have great food and atmosphere and the servers are much better too. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and will not be returning. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their customer service standards.
The worst experience I ever had in my life. PEI is a tourist destination with lots of international visitors, visit the restaurant. The way the staff behave with me while in the restaurant with my friends is very disrespectful. I am specifically mentioning the date of the evening is July 7, 2024, with mentioning the date I hope the management can understand how the staff behave with us also the manager. The manager s behavior and the way staff corner us is really very disrespectful. If I need to call the staff multiple time just for cutlery for the food, I order and they see and ignored us even the manager should not be tolerated by the management. I will never suggest anybody to visit these restaurant hunter ale and beer garden. Because I found the behavior by the staff and manager is racist, the way they behave with us and make me felt that I asked one of they employee that if they want us to leave we will leave. This is atmosphere in the restaurant was not bad but the staff made it worse for me. I would like that management, take it seriously and react upon the matter if they really consider the guest in the restaurant are important and valuable to them.
This is easily the most overrated bar around. Dont waste your time!
Only been here once but would go back again, probably repeatedly, as there were a few things on the menu I would love to try. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Worst food ever, I guess Im a sucker for going back. Told waitress today that the food was awful and she agreed but still charged me full price. Never again.
I recently had an unfortunate experience at a certain establishment, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the staff, particularly their bodyguards. I found their behavior to be not only rude but also shockingly racist. From the moment I arrived, I was met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The bodyguards, who are supposed to ensure the safety and comfort of customers, exhibited a complete lack of professionalism. They were dismissive, impolite, and seemed to go out of their way to make me feel uncomfortable. What was even more disheartening was the racist behavior I encountered. I witnessed firsthand the bodyguards treating individuals of certain ethnic backgrounds with disdain and disrespect. It was evident that they held prejudiced views and were not hesitant to express them through their actions. As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of ones background. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. The staffs racist and rude behavior left a lasting negative impression on me. I strongly urge the management of this establishment to address this issue promptly. Such behavior not only tarnishes their reputation but also perpetuates discrimination and inequality. It is crucial for them to take immediate steps to educate and train their staff on diversity, inclusion, and
I had a disappointing experience at this place. I would not recommend it to tourists. The management seemed irresponsible, and the security staff was rude. Its crucial for them to improve their customer service and ensure a safe environment .
Unfortunately the service was colder than my beer. The mashed potatoes tasted reheated. Only two locals beers on tap. The vibe overall was good and you might have a better experience with a different waitress and menu choice.
This seems like a College bar and I am pretty sure it turns into that at night. The food was bland. For a province that is basically the potato capital of the world, it is a shame that they use frozen bag fries.
First and only visit. There for supper. Had the club and fries. Very tasty!
Large portions of pub food
Great drinks! Great food! Great people!
Visit this little pub on a Thursday night. When I went in the music was uncomfortably loud. Decided to sit down anyway, it was late and not many places were open. The food was pretty good, but half way through the meal I had a headache from the pounding noise. I finished up and left. If youre looking for a good meal here, bring ear plugs.
Large portion sizes, good service, loud atmosphere. However that was to be expected as it was a very busy afternoon downtown.
Great place to spend the day
Always a great meal !!
My mother ordered a club sandwich, it had a sharp turkey bone in it. Not a safe place to eat at. They gave her half off her meal.. Terrible management. I would never have eaten there personally, because I know how rude the staff are. If you can t be a decent person you shouldn t be waiting on people, management should be ashamed of their practices.
My boyfriend got severe food poising after eating the smash burger a couple nights ago. He was in the hospital all day yesterday. We used to love going there but we are never going back.
When we arrived we could see it was very busy. None the less we were very promptly greeted. He told us he did have one table left but that there would be a wait for food as they were so busy. We accepted and were seated. Our drinks were brought within a couple of minutes and our order taken. In less time than I would expect at most restaurants our food was out. Throughout our entire visit our waitress was prompt and attentive. Kid-friendliness: They have a childrens menu and high chairs available.
Delicious food and great service!
My wife and I went specifically to experience their grilled cheese specialty. We had the Tuscan grilled cheese and it was so good that we are disappointed that we missed the previous two weeks of other choices. Oh, and the fries were awesome.
Great atmosphere, food and service! Thank you! Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu and perfect atmosphere for louder kids like ours. Food : 4/5 |
Welcoming and Great Food and Drinks and Dessert.
Great place food always excellent service with a nice smile
I mean it s hunters fault very body knows what it s like
Had the open faced steak sandwich, med rare. Was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Service was spot on
I have eaten steak and ribs and wow !!! That was succulent ! Nice place, great service. Ribs sauce is a must !
Came here with my grandkids for dinner and they felt out of place. Added security would be nice.
Good taste. Very abundant dishes. Good music. It is highly recommended
Hunters is one of our favourite go-to locations in Charlottetown. Although the menu has shrunk a little since the beginning of the pandemic (no potato skins!) the good food and efficient service keeps bringing us back. Parking: On-street parking is usually available a block or two away. Metered parking spaces are free in the evenings (after 6 P.M.).
Good food, good service. Nice atmosphere.
Amazing food and service. Hughe portions. Great valu for money.
I mostly went in for the beer. I also had mussels there and they were delicious
Burger not worth it, extremely dry and tasteless meat, old bun. The place is a bit dirty. Fries are very good, generous portions, decent nachos, I would go back for them.
Great people lots of fun
You can dance, the wine is relatively cheap, and there is nothing to eat.
With no hate to the good service whatsoever, as that in and of itself was fine, the dishware was disgusting. Ordered a virgin drink and it tasted like mildew or mold, complete with specks of a mysterious black something floating around in the drink. Not even the server knew what it was. The glasses that had our water had little bits of food or whatever else stuck to it, so whoever they have doing the dishes needs to be spoken to. It really put me off the rest of the meal. They either have mold growing in their ice bucket, or the person cleaning dishes doesnt do a good enough job. From the taste of the drink alone Id wager its the former. The food was alright, but I didnt feel comfortable eating off dishware that may have only had a rinse instead of a wash.
Service and quality isnt the same.
Great food and staff. Try to not sit under speakers. Theyre a bit loud because of the large space.
Great spot for the UNB pre party!
Good pub food. The service is fast and friendly and not pushy. Cost is moderate. One thing I appreciate is the ability to carry on a conversation without having to compete with noisy surroundings. I would definitely recommend this pub. Parking: There is a level 2 charging spot across the street cost is $2 per hour for 7.2kW
First time there. Deep fried dill pickles were great. My spouses steak was chewy, broccoli cold and potatoes warm. My nachos were good. Needed more cheese on them. Sour cream came in what appeared to be take-out sealed containers. Top was too small to dip a chip in. And they were being stored in a place that was too cold. It was almost frozen. Broke a chip trying to scoop some out of the container. For sit in folks, please serve softer sour cream and in a ramekin that you can actually dip a chip in.
Was making a quick spontaneous visit to Charlottetown for the first time and came to this restaurant on the recommendation of a cab driver. Ordered 1.5lbs mussels, hunters size seafood chowder, and nachos poutine and they were all awful. Really disappointed by the lackluster seafood. Mussels barely had any seasoning and the seafood chowder and its biscuit were bland, dry, pasty, and chalky that it didnt sit well with my group even several hours later. And there was absolutely nothing special about the poutine which was overly coated in cheap cheese sauce.
Awesome place to eat, ordered appetizers, fried pickles and pierogies, totally Awesome and so much, I had Fish and Caesar Salad, was so good, my Granddaughter had Wings and she says best wings ever, we all were very Satisfied Parking: Parked down the street which was a nice and short walk to Restaurant Kid-friendliness: So Friendly place, I would definitely go back there
Went there with the family. First time. Prices were fair for the quality and portion. The steak (sirloin) was good, stir fry, chicken fingers and grilled cheese too. Highly recommended. Parking: Free parking all around during weekend. Paid during weekdays. City rules. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was good. Enough options and portions are big enough.
Surf & turf special was top notch! Great little pub with a patio.
BRING YOUR APPETITE! Portion size is borderline ridiculous. All-you-can-eat Ribs on Thursday (good luck getting through the first ½ rack and getting another). Rib aficionados might disagree, but I found them fall-off-the-bone tender and tasty. More than enough PEI Handcut Fries. The Philly Cheesesteak is the size of a footlong sub sandwich AND comes with a healthy serving of fries. As stated before, bring your appetite. Downtown Old Charlottetown has VERY limited parking....I would suggest walking. There is an outdoor patio, but it was a bit cool to be outside, though some ventured out to dine. Lots of beer and wine to choose from. Service is fairly quick......maybe 20-25 minutes from seating-to-eating. Highly recommended if youre in Old Charlottetown.
Really great Meal!
Really upsetting place A friend recommended this restaurant which is open after 9:33pm. The outdoor restaurant tables were all empty. The second floor is not open either. Its May 21st. Not less than a busy season. It is not a tourist season either. Whether locals or foreigners come to travel. Find a restaurant or bistro. There is not a very good fit here. Standing in the doorway, there are empty tables everywhere. The doorman at the restaurant said that the government does not allow the door to be opened outdoors. Its hard to find a restaurant when you first land in Charlottetown. Really confusing trip. Charlottetowns restaurant rules are also peculiar. The second floor is not open. The outdoors are not open.
The service was fantastic. Our waitress remembered all 11 of our orders exactly without writing anything down. I had the philly cheese steak with fries. Flavour was good but it was dry. The fries were excellent. Food
Loved the chicken curry poutine, portions were good size, and waitresses extremely attentive.
Curry poutine and carrot cake were amazing! I appreciate how they packed the curry and most toppings separate so by the time I walked back to my hotel the fries were not soggy! I would eat this all the time if I lived here!
Great place with great serving sizes. First time having a 25oz pint! Food
Great indoor .... outdoor sitting examples with kind and friendly staff
The food was great, very good service, is our 1 place to go.
This place is amazing great food kind people variety of choices for all occasions
Good food and great service. Building could use a bit of a face-lift. Their smash burger is a big win and the best gravy ive ever had
Good price for large portions. Food is just ok but great for the size. Service is great and atmosphere is good. Good place if your hungry.
This place has outstanding customer service!! There was a shortage of an item and they accommodated seamlessly. Our server Manjot is elite! An absolute goat, super positive energy and hilarious
Best bar in town to grab a bite and a beer
This is my go to spot when visiting PEI. The food is delish. We had the pulled pork sandwich (and yes thats what it actually says on the menu. We also had the fish tacos which were hands down the best fish tacos weve had. The staff were all very nice to deal with and so many beautiful ladies and handsome fellas (that was just an added perk). Would strongly recommend eating here and Ill be back the next time Im in PEI.
Waitress was lovely. We had the tub tub poutine and the steak and stuffing poutine. Delicious!
Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. Both my friend and I had excellent meals, and the service was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this as a place to eat when visiting Prince Edward Island. I had the roast, turkey poutine, and it was absolutely delicious.
Nice place to stop for a bite to eat and a pint. Also very lively place during the weeknights.
If youre a straight man that enjoys eye candy ahead of quality of food this is the place for you! Women are very pretty but thats all it has to offer. Waited over an hour for my food Food was metiocre at best and very expensive for what you got. $10 per pint too So if you want to go enjoy an overpriced beer while looking at some pretty girls, check out hunters
Food and drink is always great here! The wait can be a bit long some times but that s minor.
Its a very nice place downtown!! You get more than what you pay for here!
This is not a place to eat food. This is a place to drink and maybe order some fries. With ingredients that could come fresh from the sea this is food quality is frankly atrocious. We ordered 5 dishes and experienced a variety of items on the menu. The muscles were flavourless barely finished cooking and many were raw, with what seemed to be pieces of sand in them. I ordered the open faced steak sandwich, what a mistake that was. The seafood chowder was barely passable. The fish and chips an item to be striken from the menu. Not even the smash burger was a finishable item on the menu.
Hunters has gone down hill. Myself and two other people were there on Tuesday around 4ish. There were 2 managers and approx 8 staff just standing around talking about each other or what happened on the weekend. One manager, even went as far as making ignorant comments about a person asking questions to the hostess outside. We were the only people in the first section as you walked in and the staff was huddled at a table in the corner kitty corner to us, so we heard everything. The bartender was the only one who appeared to actually be working. The ladies washroom was disgusting. I always go to Hunters when I come home. But after this experience, I wont be back.
Staying in downtown Charlottetown, we didnt want to drive (and lose a coveted spot near our hotel), so we decided upon Hunters. We were promptly seated, beverage order taken, beverages delivered with main order taken and for sit down fare, delivered in a relatively short time frame. I ordered the steak medium, with the baked potato side (2 hulking monsters) and found the meal to be delicious and filled me right up (I hate leaving a restaurant somewhat hungry after spending a decent amount of money). My wife had the Chicken & Cheese Tortellini. The portion was beyond generous and she said it was one of the best tasting ever. The young lady waiting our table (and a couple helpers at different points) were courteous, friendly and attentive during our meal. In all, it was a wonderful experience and surprisingly was not outrageously priced. The meal described above was less than we would spend at a Keg restaurant yet was better in quality, quantity and service. I hope this praise does not cause an uptick in pricing, as they have a winning formula at present!
The staff at the restaurant were great. The musical talent, Matt, was unprofessional and rude. He asked for requests from the crowd then shamed me when I asked for a legendary Canadian artist (Gordon Lightfoot) saying come back when I ve heard of the artist you re asking for . Which is not only disrespectful to me, the customer, but disrespectful to a time-honored Canadian icon. Shame on him and shame Hunters for letting Matt play there. Disgraceful if you ask me. No way to treat customers or Maritimers.
Nice large patio, huge and tasty portions and friendly staff.
Staff and service are great. The food was excellent
the food sucks
Great food, friendly staff, and huge delicious beer! Very large portions for a reasonable price.
Beautiful little pub!
Good service and decent food with decent price range and great atmosphere. Beers could definitely use a wider selection!
For bar food, it seemed pretty good. Service was good. We were seated in a quieter spot outside, which was nice. Most people get to a bar for the drinks, and it looks like they have a fair selection of local options. The oysters ended up escaping very soon in a violent manner. Otherwise, its a cool hangout with good food and entertainment.
Unprofessional service and bad environment. The guy was way too loud. I was there to enjoy not to listen anoyones annoying sound.
Portions are big, but food is horrible. I got the Philly, the steak was dry and and the sandwich tasteless. My son had the chicken parmesan it wasnt good either, he left half of it. The place is empty and I didnt see any local people as they advertise.
Tasty Ceasars!
Best chicken wings I have ever had as well as the service being amazing. The 34 oz beer was also a fantastic deal love this restaurant and staff will definitely be coming back.
Amazing food and service will highly recommend
Great dining experience, would return again!
Copycat makes it amazing the band
Monday waitress. Very stupid and no service. It would be important to tell her that she can smile with people. Otherwise it seems like a nice place!!
We had dinner at this hotel one night and went back again the next night it was so good. Food excellent, service great. Good location.
We had called because we were a group of 9. They told us we didnt need a reservation and to come. When we got there they refused us because 2 reservations were coming up...
It was an overall very good experience. The staff, Miara, was very helpful in making selections for our food. She kept asking us how we were doing and if we needed anything else. However, I think the food was on the expensive side.
Really crowded due to rain/patio closed. Accessibility an issue. Washroom difficult to access in a wheelchair. Accessible entrance off of patio locked and blocked by a table full of patrons. Had to ask them to move to enter building.
Everything was top notch.
We had such a great time at this restaurant. The food and service and atmosphere was spot-on. Definitely looking to go back again.
Food was good, service was very poor from our server, Kayla. Ordered an appetizer and two mains. All came at once. Kayla, our server didn t have a positive gesture/attitudes towards me and my three other friends, but she had a positive gesture/attitudes towards the other customers in the restaurant. We had no waters, no napkins. She served the other guests with a big smile and a positive energy, but a nasty attitude towards our table. As we are not from this country, could it be Racism? Discrimination? The only time she had a smile on her face was when she brought up the bill to us. With our kind heart, we gave her $38 tips when our whole bill costs $86. Won t be going back to this restaurant anymore but food was alright. Thank you.
Everything was great but couldve used less food for a cheaper price. Everyone knows their portions are huge but not long ago the prices were much more reasonable. I realize inflation is a thing so id be happy with slightly smaller portions for a bit cheaper of a meal. Thats just me though. Edit : sept 1st/2023 philly cheesesteak beef is dry as a bone. 2 other orders with 2 baked potatoes and a quesadilla with one, only 2 tiny sour creams included for all that. No butter and missing cutlery. Called them and they said we can come back and get it. So now we have to waste our time getting our meals for lunch break at work and have to go back for some sourcream and butter... they were not busy either as they just opened. Disappointing hunters you usually never failed to provide. Sad you are so stingy now. Prices keep going up , quality and service keeps going down.
Service and atmosphere was pretty decent. The curry mussels were perfectly cooked. The rare steak was done as requested and well timed.
Great food and great prices. I will be back.
A wonderful place, good food!
Had lunch which was good, but the Beer looked nice & cold. Will have to return in the evening for some cold ones.
Our server seemed too busy to interact with us, seemed to dissappear and not check up on us. Food was ok. Certainly our worst experience in our Maritimes journey. Maybe Bon..e was having a bad day Food : 3/5
Salad seamed to be bagged and the mild wings were more like medium. Good service and great atmosphere.
LIVE MUSIC GUYS WERE GREAT!
Unfortunately I can only give A maximum of five stars if I could give them more I definitely would food was fantastic the only thing that was better than the food was the service look forward to seeing you guys again Jack
Great food and beer. Very large portions, they say you never leave hungry and we believe it.
Terrible service. Came in for lunch today waited 20 minutes without being offered a menu or a drink There were only two other tables with two people at each table and one person at the bar. With the manager walking around on his cellphone. Sorry but just awful service considering the amount of people in the restaurant. Will not be back.
Great pub.
My wife had chowder that was paste like. Carrots and onion were still raw. Only identifiable seafood was a piece of salmon. The included bun was stale. I ordered the special, a grilled bacon and tomatoes sandwich. I think it was supposed to have goat cheese. I received a grilled cheese sandwich made with a low quality marble cheese. I ate less than half. Our server agreed it was a mistake and offered a new sandwich to go. We declined, deciding we wouldnt spend anymore time here. To many great places to eat in Charlottetown. The sandwich came with a good bowl of chili and our server was friendly.
Avery is the best she served us today and she is the best
Was a great hang out for friends to drink and laugh.
Visiting PEI? GO HERE. Don t even think of anywhere else. Everything, bar none 11/10 minimum.
Really good food, nice service, lots of refills
The food was average. My friend and I both ordered steak, neither was cooked correctly. There is no note in the menu that the meal comes with a vegetable side, my friend is allergic to bell peppers and she had no warning that they would be on her plate. We saw our waitress all of twice our whole visit, too busy chatting with friends at a nearby table, therefore never had a chance to express this allergy concern. Our drinks were never offered to be refilled. The high price didnt reflect the average quality of the food and we likely wont come back again.
Meal was adequate. I dont recommend the belt buster beef sandwich. The meat was dry and the gravy lacking
Best poutines
a very atmospheric place with delicious food, great service and great beer
In town for 48 hours and we ate there twice, that tells you all you need to know. Good food, fast, friendly service.
Stopped in for a drink . Had some great drinks and good conversation at the bar.
Please teach the bouncers basic customer service
We love the food and we order every Sunday night, but I can never get through, they always say to order it online but what we want is not online, some is and some isnt, is it a big deal to update the online menu to match the in-house menu? It is so much easier to order online but just not possible with our choices, so we are left to call and then they never pick up. If they dont want our business there are lots of places that do. We specifically order later on Sunday so that they are not in their rushed time. It is now 7:45 and we have called about 10 times in 15 minutes with no answer. Guess we will have to go else where that will pick up their phones or at least have the correct menu online. I just honestly dont understand.
Parking: Parked in the parkade great access Kid-friendliness: I took my grandson in his name is Hunter they gave him a cap with his name on it Wheelchair accessibility: My daughter is in a wheelchair and we re able to go in comfortably every time
This is a great spot, for meals, watching sports, have a drink It was a bit pricey for just ok food I would go back but probably just for drinks and maybe appetizers Food : 4/5
