A contemporary yet casual eatery, where innovative flavours meet laid-back ambiance. Located on the lower level of Red Shores Charlottetown, O’Brien’s Social Bar & Kitchen proudly pays homage to PEI resident and Hall of Fame horseman Joe O’Brien.
Food was very good. It's a boisterous place by nature. But I was most impressed by the customer service and the staff. The level of staff attention was amazing! And I was even further impressed to see the same staff working the casino and upstairs. Absolutely top rate crew!
We had no idea this restaurant was in a casino!! Hahaha it was fun. Food pretty terrible other than the seafood chowder. Our server was really nice though.
Have not eaten here since it was Turfs back in the day. Glad I decided to try out the new spot as O'Briens. Vastly superior to what was there before. Had just a burger and fries. Was very very good. Very friendly staff as well. Will definitely be back!
Nice open and airy place. Neat interior design and colors. I had southwest salad and it was ok, just not to my liking but the quality was excellent. I'll go back and try something else. The menu had good choices.
Took one of the kids out for a meal, did not want to go to the usual places so we went to check out this restaurant. Turned out to be a fantastic idea. Loved the service. The area is nicely laid out and decorated. The food was great. Lots of vegetarian options. Will be back.
All of these reviews are from before and for the old Turfs. O'Briens nees to change that because it is far superior. The prices are comparable to any restaurant these days, and some of them seemed even low. The atmosphere and decorations are far nicer than turfs was, making it feel like a restaurant instead of a bar. The only gripe I have is the Stirfry curry I ordered wasn't very curry like. Doesn't mean it didn't taste good! This is a restaurant I'd go to again, instead of it just being the place that's closest to the track.
I had ordered their special (bacon cheeseburger and fries). There was a slight order mix-up, they promptly replaced the order AND a manager Wally offered to refund the cost due to me needing to return to the restaurant. I took the order replacement but declined the refund. Fantastic customer service for offering to refund the price. Looking forward to my next order.
Had the special (southwest wrap and sweet potato fries with chipotle aoili dip, coleslaw, drink included) which is $9. I wasn't sure what to expect at such a cheap price, but the wrap was delicious and the sweet potato fries were excellent. The waitstaff was very friendly, service was very fast. We only waited a few minutes for food. The people i was with had the breakfast (two eggs, your choice of 2 sausage, 3 bacon strips or 2 slices of ham, home fries and toast) which they raved about. Breakfast is served all day as well. If you're looking for fancy, go elsewhere. For great food at an amazing price, go here.
I absolutely love that their food is consistently delicious on every visit!!!!!!
Ordered the GF bacon cheese burger Was the best .food was almost as good as the service Dietary restrictions: Lots of GFO on menue
10$ For fish and chips. Cant loose. Food is always good here. Service is always with a smile
Driest roast beef of all time. It looked super dry in the picture for meat and badaydas but I assumed it was just the photo. It wasnt. This is like going over to the aunts house who cant cook, bland and dry. Good service though.
Great service and fresh hot food.
Usually good, last time there the fish was barely fair, very greasy, then dry and quite chewy inside.
Food - outstanding. Entertainment is great value
