Vicinato brings neighbourhood Italian cuisine to historic Victoria Row. Open year-round with a sunny patio in the summer months, our specialty is pizza, pasta, wine, and welcoming guests like they're family.
Enjoyed a birthday dinner at Vincinato last night and had an excellent experience. The carpaccio and burrata/mortadella apps were A1. Fresh pastas excellent, too. Wine and cocktails great - and best of all was the service from Alex. A truly professional, world class server. Place is gorgeous inside - beautiful attention to detail from the lighting to the seating, to the cutlery and stemware. Without question the best dining experience currently available in Charlottetown.
Their pizza must be one of the best in North America! Local ingredients, fantastic Italian sausage, and tomato sauce, an excellent dough, which matures in the local brewery nearby. Rare five stars!
I enjoyed a really elegant dinner service at Vicinato Ristorante. The menu is quite impressive, and I love how dishes are listed in Italian. The quality of the food is equally phenomenal. I enjoyed 3 courses and a dessert. Their foccacia bread is delightful with a great balance of flavours in their house butter. To start the courses, I enjoyed Tonno crudo (Tuna tartar) & Polpette (Meatballs). Both dishes were presented elegantly, and the portions were satisfying. Then I had Casarecce funghi (Mushroom cream pasta) & Pesce spada (Grilled swordfish) which were both cooked to perfection. The pasta noodles were al dente & the fish had nice grill marks. The server was knowledgeable, recommending a wine well paired to the dishes, and I ended it off with a slice of tiramisu for dessert. This is definitely a classy spot for a nice date or special occaision, as the restaurant is situated on the famous Victoria Row area of downtown too. The staff & management definitely care about their product & brand. I look forward to my next visit!
Absolutely stunning experience! The venue was incredible! Beautiful, spacious, indoor and outdoor seating with a roof top patio, on top of the third floor! Food…10/10 Beverages…10/10 Service….Shout out to Hannah….10/10 Would absolutely return and will recommend to everyone!!
We were in a mood for pasta one day while in Charlottetown and came by this restaurant on Victoria Row - a very busy touristy area subject to over-pricing. However, we were not disappointed at all - it was great. My pasta dish was one the best I have ever had - with a carbonera-type sauce with roasted garlic, arugala and mushrooms , while another dish recommended by the waitress in response to a desire for something resembling Bolognese sauce was equally tasty (it was actually a far cry from Bolognese, but it was the closest they had - no complaints!). Also, great service and atmosphere with plenty of choices of eating-venue - street terrace, rooftop or in-doors on two floors.
We stopped by on a Saturday for a late lunch. We got a nice table and a two piece band started playing some music across the street setting up great ambiance for our meal. We shared a bottle of wine and ordered our meals. The food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious. My lobster sandwich was tasty and the best I ever have had. My family also enjoyed a mushroom pizza which they said was outstanding. Overall our meal was a perfect ten! Thanks for the wonderful dining experience.
The food at Vicinato was absolutely spectacular! They truly know how to curate a delicious and flavourful menu! The gorgonzola cream in the trio is something I’m going to be dreaming of for a long time to come! Plus the pappardelle was what dreams are made of! Absolutely loved this spot!
We came here for dinner on Saturday night and it was fantastic. The whipped feta with pepper honey was to die for. We loved everything so much that when our flight home was cancelled the next day we came back a second time for dinner again. Everything was wonderful! The service was amazing, special thank you to Alex and Nadine.
Attended a staff Christmas party. The wait staff were amazing. Friendly, funny, professional. The food served was hot & fresh and a great variety for all in attendance. A1.
Amazing! Loved the atmosphere, food was spectacular
They took our group of 13 for a birthday supper. Great atmosphere and food experience, Alex s service was spot on. Food
Highly recommend dining here, we were in their private room this evening for dinner. From start to finish everything was superb, staff was super knowledgeable on the menu and there was never an empty glass ( bonus points) Shoutout to Hannah for great service. we ll be back.
The food and drinks were excellent. Great atmosphere.
We had : 3 bottled water, 2 pizzas, a basic salad, and small app( few olives, soft cheese, crostini), side of meatballs. With tip, it was $232!!!! No drinks ordered. Who can afford this?? Insane. Nice place but I doubt we will be back.
Nice spot, great menu
Were absolutely obsessed with this rooftop in Charlottetown! The charcuterie board was incredible, the craft cocktails were expertly mixed, and the views were breathtaking. The vibe was electric, and our server provided top-notch service. We cant wait to return every time were in town!
Incredible fine dining experience which can be hard to find in PEI sometimes. Service was amazing and the food was to die for. No notes! Eat here!
Food is good. The service is not excellent.
Awesome restaurant! Just had dinner on the rooftop and the food was excellent. Special shout out to my waitress Tess and bartender and Brodie who where kind enough to let me relax until they opened at 4pm as I arrived a little early. Staff were amazing & made me feel so comfortable that I thought I was having dinner on my own deck for awhile. Ill be back and will be bringing friends with me from out of province to experience the atmosphere & great food! Kudos to all involved in a very enjoyable dining experience!
This was our second visit to Vicinato and we were very excited to go and celebrate our anniversary last night as we enjoyed our evening there a few months ago very much. Unfortunately, the second time around was disappointing. From the servers not being very attentive, to a charge for anything extra including parmesan on the pasta or an extra piece of bread, a disorganized flow of service and the food was mediocre. For a restaurant marketed as upscale, this did not meet those standards. It was such a stark contrast to our first visit.
All we wanted was pasta at an Italian restaurant. But thats too much to ask for ar Vicinato. If you order veal you have to also order ( and pay) for a side. The plate only comes with the veal and olives. However, theres no pasta option as a side. The suggestion from the bar staff was that we order a SECOND meal that comes with pasta in order to eat pasta. At an Italian restaurant. This on top of being told it might be possible to be moved to another deuce ,even though six of them were empty. Not getting our money tonight.
Walked in and walked out. Arrogant and unhelpful staff not willing to accommodate, along with one of the most bizarre menus ever assembled.
Great Italian restaurant. The owners and staff are amazing
Skip the mains and go for the apps. Whipped ricotta was fantastic but pasta was a lose. Braised beef is shreeded beef, not hamburger. They most likely ran out and instead of asking if we wanted a different dish they just subbed out the braised beef for ground beef. We got stuck behind a large function upstairs so waited 75 minutes and ended up tasting like hamburger helper. No complaints on service or staff.
Host was amazing, Kayla was a patient and fun waiter. Food was impeccable. All manage in great orchestra. Thanks to the team. An amazing monday night.
Food was delicious, the shrimp appetizers were amazing!
We had drinks on the roof and that was such a wonderful experience we went back for dinner the next night! Again it did not disappoint! Definitely put it on your short list!!
Awful experience! We had a reservation, got there 10 minutes before the reservation time. They had an open table outside, but were told we now needed to be on their outside waitlist for an outside table. We could sit inside and wait for a table! Very very disappointed in our treatment.
good food, fast and courteous service. to try normal bill $$
I want to thank Hanna and some of the staff for paying for my meal!!! Earlier I choked on a very small piece of ground meat. I could not get any air at all. Luckily there were two kind women that came to my aid. Needless to say I was afraid to eat anymore of my meal. It was so kind of some of the staff to pay for my meal out of their own pocket! Vinciato s is very lucky to have you! Not only were you kind and respectful of my situation but you went above and beyond and I m extremely grateful
What an amazing patio , ask for Marta or Hannah if you want the best service. Both make go absolutely out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. 10/10.
A group of us went to Vincinato s before a show at the Confederation Centre last night. The food was delicious. I had the Cesar salad (you better like garlic yum) and the casarecce funghi which was full of flavour. It s a beautiful restaurant, great vibe and friendly staff. The best part of our evening was our server Alex. He was a gem. For me a server can make or break your experience and Alex was a 10 out of 10. He was attentive but not too much, efficient, knowledgeable and you felt that he very much wanted you to have a great evening. Special thanks to Alex for helping us enjoy our night!
Some of the best Italian food I have ever tasted. If you are in PEI and want to spend one night doing it right, go here. But don t have a big lunch that day as their portions are generous.
We loved this place ended up going there twice. The first time was on the rooftop patio which is simply amazing, add the oysters and sparkling wine. We came back the second day for dinner the lobster pasta was one of the best Ive had Syria there was a bit of an issue with the speed of our order but the management reacted to it right away and made it right. Were definitely go here again highly suggest it
Amazing restaurant ! The food was delicious, the service amazing and great patio. I will definitely come back.
Food was authentic Italian Pesto fazzoletti and pizza excellent Kale salad was okay Music by restaurant was the best to add to the atmosphere Staff friendly and attentive
Great food and service!
Beautiful bar! Great staff, manager is extremely accommodating and sweet! We got the charcuterie board, there was multiple different types of meats and cheeses with pretzel twists, cookies and 3 sauces! Absolutely recommend
We had another wonderful evening at Vicinatos tonight. Love the atmosphere . Thank you Alex for the great service and thank you Megan for always remembering us and making us feel right at home. Looking forward to our next evening there.
For starters, mussels, great stuff. Try the lamb shank and fennel sausage pasta, it was very good. Good wine selection
Great place to eat! Gnocchi was delicious and the carbonara was great as well. My wife went back the next day to order a second lemon tart because she enjoyed it so much. Servers were also very helpful and friendly.
Just doing the tourist thing on Victoria Row and saw this restaurant. Popped in.. we ordered the Calabrese pizza to share... oh my.. walked out of the restaurant speaking Italian and I am Scottish. Fantastic service.. Fantastic food.. Mama Mia.. see there I go again.
The meatball starter is enough of a reason to go. The pasta is homemade. Its thicker than it needs to be, but its not boxed pasta
Impeccable! Our server, Alex, was lovely. The Margherita pizza was perfect and they have a vegan pasta dish - fazzoletti - fresh pasta with vegan pesto, spinach, mushrooms, amd peas! And sitting out front we were entertained by local dancers!
Was my first time in the restaurant last Sunday, I had made a reservation the table was all set up for us which was nice but we did wait at the door for about 5min before someone check and guide us to our seats ( restaurant was quiet, but I dont know if they just finished a rush it was 7:45pm). We order 2 appetizers plus the focaccia and butter. The olive and cheese plate was very nice, we did have to ask for more bread since we still had cheese we also had the shrimps they were also very good but very salty, in fact I found all the food very salty. For the main course 3 of us had pasta all of them like it and I ordered the haddock, the fish had a very nice flavor, where I got disappointed was that they was no side with the fish... I didnt realize that you had to order a side from the choice at the end of menu. I was little chock about that I whish the waitress would of mentioned something to me after I placed my order and ask me if I wanted side since its not included. I may have changed my mind if I knew. I left the restaurant hungry and little bit disappointed, for the high salt content and for the price I was expecting more. I may give it one more try and order pasta or pizza instead Right now I dont think I will be back. We have lots of nice restaurant on PEI and if I pay those higher prices I expect quality food and excellent service.
Party of 4 for dinner. Service (Sarah) great and attentive. We all had pasta dishes that were superb, and finished our meals with excellent Tiramasu and coffee. Have dined at many restaurants on the Island and there are some good ones, but this is by far the best meal Ive had since moving 4 years ago You can only eat so much fish and seafood cooked the same way so often or the humungous plates of stodgy food that try to pass as fine dinning. Dont understand critiques about no cracked pepper if you want some ask for it, or choice of Murphys Beers (why would you go to an Italian restaurant for beer) just go to one of the mediocre pubs that specialize in craft beers. Finally a restaurant that understand fine dinning. I hope it succeeds as my wife and I will be regulars.
Celebrated Mother s Day in your delightful restaurant. Menu offered several choices and all at our table agreed it is our new best place to dine Kid-friendliness: Shirley Temples, pizza and gelato were thoroughly enjoyed. Crayons and kid games were provided
Fabulous!! You must come here. We had a dinner here we will talk about for years to come!! The staff made us feel welcome and special from the moment we walked in. Brooke was our server and she was an absolute gem. We felt like friends and not just another table. The food was fantastic and great value for the money. We absolutely will come back when we re are back to this beautiful island. 11/10!!
We had a most wonderful experience this evening at the Vicinato Ristorante in Charlottetown. The food was sensational and our server, Sarah, was attentive, informative and ever so patient. Well be back soon.
Exceptional Service from Brook! During our recent dine-in, Brook provided an outstanding service. Her warm smile, attentive nature, and personalized recommendations made our dining experience truly memorable. She anticipated our needs and ensured everything was just right. We highly recommend Brook for her exceptional service!
The food quality is excellent. The best on the Island. Staff is great and service attitude is to die for.
Beautiful and cozy Italian restaurant in charlettown
Had reservations for two. Put into a small booth right next to bar seating. Noise++ as people at bar tried to talk over the music and TV hockey game. The service was so very good though I have to mention it as tte best part of the night. A+. The food was a bit of a let down. After a couple of starters especially a yummy shrimp in sauce shareable things went down hill. Had a carbonara pasta meal a bit like Alfredo sauce on penne. Bland. Also had ordered a fennel sausage based pasta dish Had to swap it with my wife as it had so many peas I with my food sensitivity could not even try it. Since the menu had the meal practically all in Italian I was really taking a chance in my ordering. How about the descriptions including the English ingredients. Ill go back but likely will stick to the pizza.
Wonderful people and even better food 10 outa 10 will always recommend!
Would highly recommend asking for Carter if he is working, as he is excellent and very personable. Food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere.
Great service by Grace, Amazing food and great ambience!
Amazing atmosphere, high quality ingredients, delicious dishes and desserts, great service, and reasonably priced! Highly recommend Vicinato! (Gluten free options!)
Wonderful experience at Vicinato for new year s eve! I had the chance to savor an excellent sirloin and enjoy delicious cocktails. The warm and welcoming service from the manager was outstanding. Highly recommended! French : Very nice experience at Vicinato for New Year! I had the opportunity to enjoy an excellent sirloin and taste delicious cocktails. The warm and caring welcome from the manager was remarkable. I highly recommend this place!
Bonita, myself and family had booked reservations for 5 at 6:30 New Years day. Bonita asked for a window table, no problem. We have eaten at Vincinato a few times over this past summer , everything was perfect, last night no exceptions, window table, very knowledgeable server, she was terrific. The food was perfect , just wanted to say thank you for a lovely experience. Don Williams Cornwall
Visited from Ottawa. Great meal and service.
Unplanned supper. Did not realize it was opening night. You would never know though. The quality of the food( three different pizzas and one order of spaghetti) was totally unexpected. Had two different apps along with the main courses and Chef Ross treated us to a wonderful dessert, I forget the proper name but it was salted caramel ice cream with expresso poured over it. The amazing food along with attentive service made for a wonderful evening sitting on their patio. Will definitely return.
Awesome staff and awesome food. We were visiting from N.S. and didnt realize it was the second day being open, although you never would have known. Im so glad we made a reservation the day before as the place filled up quickly. The wine list was extensive, but our waitress Morgan took good care of us, and her suggestions for wine and food choices, especially the lemon tart for dessert, were right on and delicious. The manager even took time to come and chat with us. Will definitely go back.
Dietary restrictions: Wonderful and accommodating. Food
Thanks Corey for the Recommendation. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was just absolutely perfect. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone thats coming out this way. We cook at home every day., Its just like ive eaten at home . Cost of the food is fair
Amazing food and AMAZING service! Was not wanting to eat here at the start but just the appetizer turned me around, staff were very accommodating and polite.
Last evening I took my sons out for supper, to celebrate a birthday. The place was lovely. The manager, Megan, was warm friendly and inviting. Her staff are following her example. I had a dietary question and the chef came out to our table to discuss the menu. Our pizza was fantastic and at the end of the evening they brought a complimentary dessert to the birthday boy( man). We all went home with leftovers because the personal pizzas were large. Thumbs up for opening a new restaurant in peak season and making it look easy.
Our family favorite was the mussels! Lovely spot with great food and staff.
Took forever!! Server was new to serving but was nice. Food was ok. But damn. Took forever! Over an hour after ordering and they were not busy. Tables that were seated after us got their food sooner than us. We didn t order anything complicated either - beef pasta.
Just wow! The pasta is so fresh! Stopped here wanting a great pasta meal after taking the ferry and doing the cabot trail, which it seems there are very few options around for authentic italian food in charlottetown. I was more than amazed by their homemade pasta, and one of the chef s helpers came to talk to us, asking our whereabouts and whatnot. Great experience, I ve been in Italy and pasta wasn t this good in most places!
Delicious! Will Definitely be telling everyone. Megs is fantastic, Dave, our server, wonderful..the food was perfect
An amazing new authentic Italian restaurant. Service was great with no issues. Loved starters, main and desert. Lots of options but not too many to confuse the ordering process. Did not have a chance to try the drink menu but it looked robust. A++, will eat again. Vegetarian options: Vegan options available. Dietary restrictions: They were very willing to adjust if neccessary.
Shout out to Nadine who dealt with a customer swearing at her. Absolutely uncalled for and she handled it with grace. If it were me I d be calling security. Great food and great staff. Also love the decor
This is a gorgeous atmosphere that you could imagine in a show based in New York. The food was phenomenal, I never wanted the taste to leave my mouth, and the service was fantastic. So personable and kind. What a joyful experience.
Was visiting from Point Desroches aka my cottage on the sea. This restaurant is beautiful in terms of decoration but fell short in many ways. The staff greeted us kindly. The table was tastefully decorated and the A/C was sufficient. The meal took way too long to arrive. 35 minutes. And the server did not offer bread or a consolation. Also this establishment appears to only serve Murphy beers, my wife and I find them all disgusting. Pizza had no flavor and dessert appeared like crusty baby poo with inedible toppings. Overall I am sorry to say that Vicinato fell short. Will never return.
Went on Saturday, it was busy but the service was great! Nadine the manager was very personable and came over to ask us how our meal was!! The whipped ricotta was amazing and the Lemon tart was a great way to end our delicious meal. Will definitely be back!!!
Missed the mark!! Was so hopeful for a great experience. Instead I was mortified. The wait times for everything were unacceptable. Food took 45 minutes. And when it arrived it was horrible. There appear to be an abundance of staff but they dont seem to understand that you need to cater to guests, not too themselves. Tips? Provide some sort of basic bread while a table waits for their main. Ensure drinks are cold and served promptly. Food? Redo the entire menu, its not good at all, and I see other reviews agree with me. So I would urge staff and management to take a step back, review their surroundings, and try again. Good luck!
I am a huge pasta lover and seafood lover so I knew I had to try the pasta with lobster. Unfortunately, it was bit bland and the lobster didn t sing the way I wanted it too, disappointing given the potential and the price. All the other meals at the table were lovely and the tiramisu I had for dessert was delicious and was a huge portion! Our servers were obviously quite new but willing to learn and to laugh at themselves when things weren t perfect. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was nice.
Its not that hard to type GFO next to a menu item... and gluten free pasta is not hard to come by.... serving size is ridiculous.... No salt or pepper on the table The place feels unfinished... no artwork or decor No accessible washroom that we can see (if there is one, there is no sign) Not impressed And spiral noodles (GF) are not spaghetti Definitely not in a rush to come back
Atmosphere is excellent, service was good, however food - mixed reviews. I had pizza lunch special with orange and fennel salad - really good - would order it again. My daughter ordered gnocchi pomodoro - huge disappointment- gnocchi are supposed to be light fluffy pillow of potato dough, and what she got was overworked dough that was as hard as a brick. If I do venture to go back - pizza it is.
Had lunch with a friend here. Overall speed of service was good. Server was polite. Admitted she didnt know the menu well and was willing to go find out what we needed to know - what dishes if any could be gluten free. Would be wonderful if they could be marked on the menu like the vegan options were. Food was not great. With the prices so high, I thought it was supposed to be authentic italian food - it is not. (hello, boxed pasta noodles) Pasta sauce was bland but way too peppery at the same time somehow. The space seems unfinished. Lots of space for artwork, but nothing on the walls. Pretty light fixtures that draw your eye upwards to lots of flies flying around. Once I saw all the flies that was all I could focus on. No accessible washroom on the first floor. Had to hike up two flights of stairs to find one. All in all, not a great experience.
Had my bolognese (I didnt remember the full name was) in Sunday evening. The dish is great, the meat was well seasoned and very tender. The pasta was cooked well. The atmosphere was chill with lots of pedestrians walking by and nice music band on the pavement. Ill definitely come back and try more dishes. Highly recommended this authentic Italian restaurant in Charlottetown!!!
Went here last week for lunch and got the carbonara and warmed olives. Olives were fantastic but the carbonara was watery beyond belief and not creamy whatsoever - I couldn t finish it and refused a take out box because it was just plain inedible. Zero sauce adhesion to the noodles and it was extremely bland. That said, credit where it s due for actually using guanciale. Front of house was pleasant and while a little on the spartan side, ithe decor is quite nice so some points for that.
Gnocchi was amazing and would definitely go back to have again. Only reason it wasn t five stars is because the menu was hard to read. Only ordered the gnocchi because it was the only thing I understood. Would appreciate a longer description of menu items. But overall great food
Most of the tables empty, and no availability all reserved ....
Very nice decor in a nice location (Victoria Row near the theatre ). We tried for a couples lunch. We had a reservation for 1 trying to miss the lunch rush. Despite a half full restaurant we were seated at a small table for 2 with another couple immediately beside us. The menu is intriguing as is the wine and cocktail list. Our waitress was very friendly but needs training. We asked about certain dishes and she had to ask the kitchen each time. She forgot our wine. She forgot our cappuccinos. We could go on but you get the idea. The service was what I would expect at a Boston Pizza or East Side Mario s, certainly not up to standards for fine dining if that is what the objective is (as the prices would suggest). My wife had the limoncello spritz which was very nice. The food was ok, but underwhelming. We started with the ricotta montata which was excellent. We also had warm olives, which were good but not warm. My wife had a the zuppa di pesce dish with salt cod and the salt dominated the dish (likely not soaked). Served with no spoon and no bread. Nothing extra offered such as fresh ground pepper or grated Parmaigiano. We did not like the tiramisu (some sort of citrus flavour dominated). Surprised that it arrived without any garnish or decoration on the plate; just a slice of cake on a plain white plate. How about some presentation to make it more attractive for $15? Not a terrible experience but left feeling underwhelmed and overcharged; I think it was $225 for lunch which is fine if there was a bit of wow factor. We accept that it is newly open but we do hope that there is an effort under way to make improvements as the current offering is not up to the standard it needs to be. We will give it one more try.
Great spot! The most close to an Italian experience you will find on the island. I am from Italy and i recommend this place. Food
Very good Italian restaurant. One of the best that I had. Our server (Libby) was very good and knew the menu very well. The recommendation that she made were well on par. The meatballs; well I was not sure when I got the plate but at the first bite, I got speechless, it was delicious. It s a must. We ordered the gnocchi and the plate with crab (can t recall the name). Both plates were very good. My favorite was the gnocchi hands down. My server said spaghetti with meat was one of the specialty, I should have listened. Lol I will return for sure.
We ordered the gnocchi and a margarita pizza to share and wine for me. We were surprised with a really nice appetizer, which name escapes me, however it had honey, olive oil, fresh mozzarella I believe, topped with chards of parmigiana reggiano. It was excellent. This was served with thinly sliced bread to use as a base. All our dishes were exceptional.. The staff were plentiful and attentive. We were made feel like we were visiting a neighborhood where we knew the people. The atmosphere was airy and pleasant. So lour experience was great. I recommended this restaurant to a number of people. I trust their experiences were as pleasant as was ours. This restaurant should never be given low ball reviews as this is not what is there. Everything is made in house. It is sophisticated fare for those who want to experience their food. Flavours, textures, presentations were on point. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal choices. I wish we had this restaurant in Nova Scotia. Dave and Nan Clarke
Lovely experience. Excellent experience. Great food, especially the Caesar s salad! And lovely conversation with the GM Megan! Brian and Rita
Girls night out, we decided to try this place based on many recommendations from local family and friends. We all loved it! We had the whipped ricotta app, a variety of pastas and shared 3 pizzas. All around 5 stars, from the hostess to the wait staff to the quality of food and the value. Can t wait to come back!
Booked a table for 5 at 12 noon and got served an hour and 10 minutes after we ordered the pizza/salad special of the day. Our 5 year old got served five minutes before the adult orders. What is wrong here? Frustrating experience for us. It just seemed that nobody was accountable for anything. Period!
Recommended Italian restaurant on the walking mall on Richmond St. Food was very good (we had the meatballs, tagliatelli and bolognese). Foccacia bread starter with honey-butter basil was a nice opener. Service was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Jazz band nearby added to romantic touch.
Loved their mussels with toasted garlic bread. Ordered carbonara, was so-so but services were excellent !
Have been a few times this summer and the service, food, and atmosphere have been incredible. Great addition to Victoria Row. Try the pizza!
Service needs improvement. Kept delivering food without taking away dirty dishes. On to the food we had several appetizers. The meatballs, the shrimp, fennel salad and the tuna weren t bad. The lobster pasta was just salty with not much other flavour despite the fact it was supposed to also have tarragon. Had 4 pizzas served to the table. One was quite burnt on the bottom and practically inedible. Another had two inches of crust and very little actual pizza. The 1/2 chicken was apparently good but but was just 2 large pieces of chicken with nothing else. Overall I probably would not go back.
Wednesday August 23rd me wifey and my best friend had an amazing supper Big up to Richard great service great timing great smile GREAT TIME!!! Food : 5/5
I ate here twice since it has opened and both times I had a very pleasant experience. The food is delicious! Service is great and atmosphere is on point. Compared to the other Italian place in Charlottetown, this one wins! I hope they continue to do well, because I will be back!
Great food, staff friendly. Only one point, if you dont like pepper, ask to dont add it, because they usually put in the plates.
I ordered pasta carbonara and it came with black pepper. The menu didnt have pepper and I dont like foods that have pepper. Because this, we always prefer Italian restaurants, especially here in Canada. I ordered another one without the pepper and so it was amazing, really good. My suggestion is: as Italian restaurants in Italy dont use pepper, I suggest offering it after the dish is ready, I think it would be a good idea. The restaurant is beautiful, the attendants are friendly and the price matches the menu offered.
We had a great lunch with this beautiful young lady named Brooke, who was Waitress. Need to come here and ask for her.
Absolutely The Best Italian Food in Charlottetown . A wonderful addition to PEI with a truly authentic menu for all....Excellent Atmosphere & Service , Prices very reasonable and Best of all the FOOD.....5 STAR!!!
We just had the pizza. It is honestly one of the best pizzas i have ever had. We came back the next day to try another pizza and the verdict remains the same. The manager and servers were very friendly.
We had a reso for 8:30 and we were nearby so we decided to test our luck and head in 15 mins early and they were all ready for us! As we were seated we noticed this is one of the nicest dining rooms in town Ive been to! Our server Morgan was very professional and had the perfect amount of friendly banter and helped my vegetarian partner chose a good veggie option (gnocchi) and I had the carbonara. She even accomodated my neurodivergent partner by bringing out a selection of different sized spoons because the fork was too large. My guanchale was cooked to perfection and the sauce was perfect! We started with the capresse salad but were a lil surprised it came without bread, it would amp up the dish just slightly!!! Cocktails were tasty and they have a huge beer and wine selection. We found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints.we will definitely return to try the pizza next time, we found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints! Congrats on the beautiful new place guys. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are limited but very tasty, highly recommended the gnocchi for veggie eaters!
We had a private function in the room upstairs. Our server Sarah was wonderful and the food was great. Would definitely recommend this space for a private function. Dietary restrictions: Some of our guests were celiac. They were able to substitute most menu options for GF
Amazing experience. Food delicious and awesome atmosphere, great service !
I had the pollo alla thingy and it was the best Italian dish Ive ever had in Charlottetown.
We were super excited for our first reservation here for my friends birthday. We ve been waiting eagerly for an Italian restaurant in Charlottetown but unfortunately we left very disappointed. Nobody at our table enjoyed our appetizers or mains and only one of us finished our meal. The drinks were good and our server was very nice. We had to wait around 45 mins for our food which wasn t the end of the world, but when it came we weren t offered fresh cracked pepper or Parmesan like at most high end Italian restaurants. The complimentary focaccia and specialty butter was delicious. Really hoping this place can figure things out once they re open for a bit longer. Would love to have a go to Italian place in town for special occasions. Unfortunately the high price point compared to the quality of food we received does not warrant a return trip for us as of right now.
Excellent food and service..
Not too often these days that a restaurant gets 5 stars across the board. Seriously, the best service I have come across in PEI in ages. I plan to go back to try the pizza. It looked delicious walking by! Lol
I ve eaten here a few times at lunch and dinner, had excellent service, delicious food and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. Happy to have a new 5 star restaurant in town to go to year round!
As a party of six we were seated at a cozy booth. The ambience was great, but, the place was too noisy to really enjoy our evening fully. The evening started with our wine order which was messed up as I had to sit till the others were pretty much finished their wine before I could get the servers attention to remind her about my glass of wine. When the server took our orders she forgot to mention that the mains only come as the protein, starches were an extra charge. Personally we agreed that the server was looking after more than she could handle. But in the end the co-manager helped make our evening more enjoyable. We will be back again. Kid-friendliness: The lady that was co-managing during our visit was awesome. She did everything she could to make our experience more enjoyable. Because of her (and the delicious chicken), I will be back.
My husband and I ate here for his birthday last night and we were so impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. The wait times were a bit long for the entrees to come out, however we didnt even notice as the environment was lovely and we enjoyed our time so much. Our server was so sweet and helpful.
Ok if you are reading this trying to decide where to eat stop and go!!! The restaurant is beautiful, great atmosphere, music just loud enough, great decor, tables are spaced well, just well thought out. The service was brilliant, made great recommendations, could answer every question, even the kitchen came to check on our meal quality, there just when you needed something, but not hovering perfect! Drinks great selection of everything. I had a fall sangria I ll have to try and recreate it at home! Wine list was lovely. And the food we had nothing that was not outstanding! Even the bread! The proper Italian carbonara was off the charts, meat balls so tasty, pizza was a proper wood fired perfection and the tiramisu with a hint of orange, so good I could go on and on but it was the best Italian meal I ve had outside Italy in I can t remember how long. Lastly, the bill I was completely satisfied with what we paid for what we ate and drank. We actually thought it was a deal to be truthful, we don t eat out that well at home for anywhere near that price. Very reasonable! This place is a Gem in this seaside town, I ll be back on any future trips to Charlottetown!!
My wife, myself and another couple were looking forward to spending a great Friday evening. This restaurant is located on Victoria row which is centrally located in Charlottetown. This restaurant is part of a large group of restaurants in town. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, the place looks great and was very inviting. The menu is quite fancy using Italian terms that makes you guess what you may be ordering however it was well explained by the server. The place was busy, as expected as it was a Friday night. The server was quick to give us the menu however we waited quite a while before she came back for drinks. Our order was quite easy, one entree and main meals, and somehow it took 2 hours get one entree of meatballs to us. I actually had to prompt the server as to what was going on regarding that one entree as we were long done with our drinks and complimentary bread. We noticed a table of six that was sat after us getting their meals before ours. We were advised the place was quite busy and experiencing delays in the kitchen. Our order likely got dropped or forgotten. Granted, the Chef and manager came in to apologize without offering much in return, i.e. bread at the very least. I ordered one beer and was given a beer to drink from the bottle. Not very fancy for a supposedly fancy restaurant. Overall my shrimp linguini was excellent, but the pizzas we ordered were not to our expectations for the names they had. The server graciously did not charge us for the meatballs on my bill, but they didn t have any consideration for the other couple at our table who waited with us. The atmosphere was nice but we would not return, the service was disorganized, meals were not up to par the image they are trying to give, and although they apologized for the wait, they didn t do much else to rectify the situation. Was an amateur night that is common for this group of restaurant. I don t blame the server, their excuses were just not credible.
Very nice good, great service, and the environment is well designed. (I love the prawn pasta!!!)
