Absolutely delicious, my father and I visited this restaurant the other day and I would rate my steak 10 out of 10. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who likes a good steak.
Went here tonight for our 3-year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect! We had a nice corner table looking out on Queen Street. Appetizers were delicious (1/2 dozen raw oysters, steak bread 2.0) oysters were so fresh, they didn't even really need the accoutrements. Steak bread was outstanding, and came recommended by a friend. For our mains we both had steak (Ribeye and Striploin Special). Both were cooked perfectly and the flavour was amazing. Sides were piping hot and generous! No room for dessert, but we may have stopped for a scoop of cows on the way home (everyone knows ice cream melts in the cracks). Can't recommend highly enough for a date or special night out. We will be back!
Delicious meals, friendly service. You can’t go wrong here, no matter what you choose. An “old world” style steak house, that has a great, contemporary touch to dishes. Would gladly return, again and again.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent service of this exquisite establishment. This seems to be the only place where we were able to try fresh whole lobster from the island for lunch. We were served by a wonderful and professional waitress girl. Drinks, food and service were of the highest quality. if we stayed on the island longer, we would definitely book a table at this restaurant again.
We had a reservation for 8:30, we arrived and the table wasn't ready. They put us all the way in the back, somewhere very awkward. We asked to have a nicer table. By the time we were seated, it was 9:15. By the time we got the food, it was 10:45. That's not acceptable. As for the food, the appetizers were amazing, the tenderloin 10/10, I do however think they could put better vegetables than zucchini. I find it cheap for that caliber of restaurant. Perhaps red peppers, asparagus, etc... I don't think it's bad place, just a bad night.
Good steakhouse. I recommend the ribeye or filet mignon with the Gouda crust. The seafood chowder was also good with a lot of seafood.
Seafood Fettuccine was absolutely delicious. Thank you to Francis for being an exceptional host. Very attentive and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure dining at Sims and we’ll definitely be back.
One word, amazing!! This cozy little spot is worthy of a visit during your travel plans to the island. You can’t beat local oysters, seriously, these little babies are sold all over the place, and you are getting them water to table. They were wonderful, we ordered a few freshly chucked and broiled, delectable! Then came the Caesar salad, it was the best that I’ve had in a while, and highly encouraged. And now for the knockout dish, steak, their sirloin pepper steak was on point and cooked to perfection. Thanks for the wonderful evening and experience.
Everything was perfect from the delicious food to the service. It was our Christmas Party group of 10 and we were all very happy and full.
Food could of been so much better.
A peaceful dining atmosphere perfect for conversation.
Excellent restaurant: welcome, service, dishes,... Special mention to the manager, of Irish origin (but not poor English !)...
Excellent service! Great food! Amazing atmosphere!
Best steak in town!
Dietary restrictions: Perfect gluten-free for celiac Food
Great service!
Absolutely amazing!! My husband and I both loved it. Our first visit and it certainly did not disappoint. Mussels were amazing, my Husbands steak was I had filet mignon and lobster tail and we shared a dessert and had a bottle of wine. From start to finish the meal was incredible and our server was great too. Romantic atmosphere as well. Wonderful, a meal to remember for sure!!
Had a great experience here. We were sat in an intimate lounge for drinks before our table was ready. The food was great all around and reasonably priced for the quality. Would definitely come back again.
A pretty good steakhouse The ribeye, New York, filet, and halibut are all delicious If you want to eat vegetables, choose the steak salad, which is seasoned with cumin and is very delicious! I tried two Gahan beers. The blueberry fruity aroma is delicious, and the beach chair is also good. The oysters we caught were saltier, even saltier than those at raspberry point. I didn t like them very much, but my brother thought they were good. The grilled oysters were also delicious, but the price/performance ratio was not very high.
The food here is totally remarkable. We had oysters, mussels, the bronzed scallops, the halibut, and the tomato and orange salad. Nothing could have been improved upon. All that, and our waiter was the absolute salt of the earth.
Four of us had dinner here in August. We had just arrived and hadn t booked but luckily they had a table. Great menu, truly excellent food and outstanding service. Can t recommend it highly enough.
The entrance was decorated with flowers and the inside of the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I ordered raw oysters and rib eye steak. The steak was delicious, but I was a little disappointed because the meat was a little stringy. (July 2024)
Great place for us honeymooners. Staff treated us so well.
Enjoyed a nice night out while in PEI for my honeymoon. They treated us so well!!! Our server was wonderful. One of the friendliest and happiest servers Ive ever had. Food was great! First time trying oysters!!!!
Ceaser/Kale salad had waaaaaay too much kale.... both of us got it and said the same thing... the chowder was amazing! The stuffed potato was fair.
Wildly overpriced. Had to ask for water, it took 10 mins to arrive and had grit in it. My rosé was served warm after a 15-min wait. Our waitresses never came for our food order. We were two of only four customers. We left and went to the Italian food across the street. 1/3 of the price and astounding service.
Stopped in for oysters and a glass of wine and wish we had stayed for dinner! Really lovely spot with excellent service, not the stuffy steakhouse we were expecting
Fantastic restaurant with excellent chefs and incredibly professional servers. I would call this the best restaurant on the island. I cannot recommend the bruschetta or scallop appetizers enough. They are phenomenal.
Overall, food is a little too salty to us. Oysters were fresh and steak was cooked to perfection.
I put a 4 for service because we stood waiting to be directed to a table for long enough to send me into the bar to ask. Our server Zoe was good. So good Im going to call to reserve a place in her section on my next visit. We sat on the patio and drank a drink the same colour as the sunset.
Great stakehouse, really good ribeye steak
Not worth the price and that is why the rating is low. It s quaint inside, a nice mix of deep colours. Lots of food selections. The wait was long with no food so they gave us free oysters after just over an 1hr wait. The food is average, one in my party always reacts to meats that have added hormones or raised on low quality feed, he woke in the night stomach swollen and pained. With no alcohol and no dessert it was $100 pp. It s probably a 4 star restaurant if the price was aligned with experience.
Excellent food and warm welcome. Impeccable service and high quality dishes. The land and sea with lobster was exceptional.
Try the halibut
Very good service in French, the food was great. Good one of the best steaks I have eaten in my life
We had an outstanding meal. Impeccable service. We started with delicious steamed mussels The steaks were the best on PEI, cooked to perfection with roasted vegetables and roasted baby red potatoes. My wife had the 6oz tenderloin with pepper crust and I had the 14 oz ribeye. We will definitely return.
Great spot , friendly staff !
Food very good, highly recommended.
Food was excellent.
The food was good and I will go to it again
delicious but a tad expensive when compared to other area resturants
I loved the butcher burger and the seafood fettuccini But I didn t like the atmosphere because it was too dark! overall I loved it!
Was there yesterday! The steak is melt in your mouth, Ribeye! Hands down the best in the city. Freshest Oysters around. Great atmosphere. A must try!!! We had oysters around PEI, these were the best.
Services, food, and atmosphere was excellent. Wine list was great as well
A disappointment. Oysters arrived glassy as if left out on the counter. Steak incorrectly cooked (blue rare rather than medium rare). Vegetables soggy. Roast potatoes boiled. Meal presentation was awful. All inexcusable at the prices they charge here. Decor is dark and outdated to boot. Boo.
Fantastic service and food. The Peruvian is a keeper.
Best Steak house in town! Our dining experience was beyond our expectations ! Sims came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Service from Sarah was excellent, she took the time to help us pair our wine with our dinner choices. Busy as she was, we never felt rushed. The beautiful plush chairs, comfortable wrapped up in a warm inviting decor, with history flowing through every brick on the walls. Take the time to read the family story, and enjoy what they have brought to your table! Thank-you, Craig for taking the time to come to chat with us. Will be back soon. Gina and Mario
Service was not great and food was just okay for the price
We ate here twice in the same day July 2013
Good meal! Great server!
Great service! We got a selection of their oysters, chowder, mussels, and seafood bruschetta. Oysters and chowder were stand outs.
Kind, caring service and the best steak I have had in years - delicious sides, too!
Best steak house in town! Great oysters steak and seafood. Nice atmosphere and excellent service!
One of the best steak and appetizer menus I have ever had
Went for drinks. Excellent spot. Great atmosphere and staff are excellent.
I have to admit, the main reason why I am writing this review is because the hostess was the best. Food was ok, service was ok a little slow but the hostess went above and beyond to get us a table. She should be given a raise :) I m not sure of her name! We ate on June 15th and she had darker hair- for The manager reading this. :)
Have the chowder.
Atmosphere was gorgeous. This is a beautiful old steakhouse- so elegant and the perfect interior. Only thing that kept it from being 5 stars is the choice of music which was Top 40. I would expect an elegant steakhouse to have something different, maybe a soft jazz. Service was great. The server managed to be super attentive but also there was a nice pace- we werent rushed out. Food came not too fast, not too slow. Food itself was pretty mediocre. The shrimp cocktail was presented horribly- some shrimp on a bed of chopped iceberg lettuce on a plate, and Im afraid the steaks were just fine. This might be skewed by where Im from (Toronto), so take that with a grain of salt.
Took over an hour to get our meal..other than that the food and service was great.
Fine dining experience, so a bit more on the expensive side, but the quality was there. Open during the off-season.
We went for lunch and everything was delicious, I really enjoyed the drizzle they put on the fries
First off - incredibly poor service. When asking about oyster origins, the server rolled her eyes with her answer. Also, made us a feel like we weren t welcome. Food - sub par. Lobster dip tasted microwaved. Seafood pasta was unspectacular, can find it in many other places. Oysters were good though - like a 4 or 5. Coupling with atmosphere that was trying to be fancy but falls short, and poor value, it was one of our less enjoyed spots in Charlottetown.
We spent a lovely evening. Francis, our server was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu offerings as well as choice of wine. The oysters and sticky toffee pudding were the highlights of what was a very good meal. However, we were disappointed in the lobster tails, as they were very chewy. Nevertheless, I recommend this steakhouse and oyster bar, as the ambiance is classic.
No soap in the mens washroom, ran out of fingerlings ( French fries) Dont support birthday celebration by giving birthday person a birthday slice of dessert, then change there minds in a pathetic attempt of customer service by giving the birthday boy 2 strawberries and 6 blueberries with a about to fall over candle. Such a pathetic attempt at proper restaurant customer service. Just bring a piece of cake?! I dont understand the thought process. Now my pasta, it was just short of ok and no problem charge 50 bucks for seafood pasta but at least add some shrimp and give a sailors plate full. Its pasta for heaven sakes. Man that portion was small and missing a key ingredient. My wife said the crusted halibut was just barely good and dry along with her undercoojed red potatoes and suggested it be a larger portion as well. Do you see the frustration? For 4 people 3 appetizers and NO booze 350 bucks.
Food was good...but should be better for a proper steakhouse Staff were excellent Food : 3/5
I am very impressed with Sims lunch!!! The lunch menu features delicious choices under $20, the atmosphere was pleasant with music playing softly, quiet/happy diners nearby and the service was the best! Thank you Sarah H! I ordered the Beef & Broccolli, and it is divine, was full of flavours and on top of ramen noodles. Expertly prepared. So good. Everything was perfect. This is a unknown lunching gem!! Highly recommend checking out their lunch offerings. Youll be impressed, like me.
Stepping into the dimly lit ambiance of this steakhouse, we were immediately captivated by its elegant and mysterious allure. The dark interior exudes a sense of sophistication, creating an intimate atmosphere perfect for a memorable dining experience. From the moment we were seated, our server, whose name was Kelly, effortlessly elevated the evening. Her warm demeanor and impeccable attention to detail truly set the tone for the entire meal. Kelly s extensive knowledge of the menu and wine selection ensured that each dish was expertly paired, enhancing the flavors and overall enjoyment of the meal. As for the food, it was nothing short of extraordinary. The steaks were cooked to perfection, each bite bursting with flavour and juiciness. The sides were equally impressive, complementing the main course beautifully. From the creamy mashed potatoes to the crisp, fresh salad, every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. Overall, our experience at this steakhouse was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of the dark, inviting atmosphere and the outstanding service provided by Kelly made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a delicious steak dinner, this establishment is sure to impress.
The server was fantastic, she knew the menu very well and answered all questions. We did visit for seafood and they were out of lobster. Appys were very good but when our mains arrived it was warm but not hot.
We ate in this restaurant during a particularly frenetic evening, but despite this we were treated to friendly and personalized service from the waitress/barmaid who went out of her way to make everything work! The food was excellent; My partners salmon was perfectly cooked and my ribeye melted in your mouth, not to mention the potatoes! Good choice of wine and local microbrewery beers which are very delicious. I would come back without hesitation.
My own experience was my Woman of Color was again ignored until I arrived and it was still unreasonable...
Had the steak and garlic potatoes they were so delicious definitely a must try. Best piece of meat I had in years certainly recommend sims
OMG, our service was amazing the food was fantastic and would come back every visit to try something new every time Parking: It s paid parking only in CAD only, but you can find alternative parking for free around the area and walk to the location. It is beautiful downtown and worth it.
Ridiculous amount of salt on the steaks. Everyone in our group agreed. I could see the coarse salt granules on my steak.
Had a birthday meal with great company and excellent service! Pepper steak as pictured was amazing.
Couldn t find a Keg Steakhouse here but loved this place. It was cozy, service was good and food was amazing
Six of us were there for lunch. After being seated and ordering we had to wait over 30 minutes to receive our food. No explanation was offered just an apology. We ordered the fish and chips, a hamburger and a seafood chowder appetizer. Nothing complicated. The seafood chowder was okay but the bacon taste overpowered the seafood flavors. (If you like seafood chowder the merchantman serves a better one).
I proposed to my now-fiancée at Sims during the holidays. The staff were fantastic in ensuring we had the perfect table for the occasion. Originally, I had planned to propose outside after dinner, but the weather had other ideas. On the morning of the proposal, I contacted Sims to change plans and do it inside the restaurant. They were amazing in helping with my proposal plans, even coordinating with my photographers arrival just before the proposal. The meal was also absolutely delicious. It turned out to be the ideal experience for a truly memorable moment, and I appreciate the staffs effort. Highly recommended.
Expect great food, service and atmosphere from this Charlottetown institution.
Went to a beautiful looking restaurant with very high hopes, came out completely disappointed. The food we ordered was some of our favourites, but when it was served it was hardly edible. While the place was stunning that was some of the worst food I ve ever had. When the waitress came with our food, she used her hands to move it around on the plate to show us what everything was. Beautiful restaurant, not so great food.
My boyfriend and I were skeptical about this place because he likes his steak well done. Every time we go out for dinner for and he gets a steak it s never cooked to his preference. We didn t wanna spend 50$ on a steak he was going to hate. After looking at the reviews we decided we should give it a try. I m so happy we did. Their food was amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly for him and me as I eat mine medium rare. Highly recommend this place. The staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating!
Great ambiance, food and service.
Honestly, I came here and was extremely disappointed. We were seated at the back of the restaurant despite it being a special occasion, food took a while to come out and wasn t particularly good, and the service was meh. There are a lot of other (potentially cheaper) options for good steak and seafood downtown, so I d advise looking around.
Excellent food and Service. ! Sara is pleasant and professional!
Jade our bartender and server was top notch. Service was awesome and food was great
We were group of 6, with 2 tables side by side. The lady at the counter were very rude, and did not want to have us to be accommodated.
Sunday Prime Rib Day I asked for medium rare, it came medium well. This is second time my prime rib was overcooked when I went on a Sunday. I sent it back! My mistake, my punishment was a blue rare piece with cold gravy, potato, and veggies. I gave this place so many chances in the past but they have clearly gone down hill. They will not get my business again.
Cosy atmosphere and excellently executed food.
Everything here was great..love the food. Cant wait to go back an try more dishes. I recommend this steak house
Great food and better service!
I ordered ribeye with fries, hamburger with fries, but the fries were too dark and overcook. Seem like it you guys put those fries in deep fry for a hour before serve that for customers!
Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. Definitely higher price point but great for a special occasion.
Nice & old victorian style interior. Cozy... Food
Cowboy
The food and service is always fantastic. Its on the pricier side for a night out to dinner, but I cant recommend it enough.
Amazing food, and top notch service!
We are on a road trip in the Maritimes. Weve had meals in Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Peggys Cove, Lunenburg, Digby, St. John and Saint Andrews by-the-sea. Do dinner we had that Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar was by far the best. Hats off to the chefs and our server Sarah.
Food was delicious.
It s a pretty dark restaurant. The furniture are heavy looking with all velvet chairs or velvet couches. Very mixed colors from bright pink to dark green chairs; not sure how my eyes felt. But I was comfortably sitting though. The service of our waitress was super slow but she was super nice. Example, it took her 20 minutes to bring us two bottles of wine. So you can imagine how long it took to take our orders and to receive our plates. I ordered seared Halibut with roasted vegetables. And green salad with candied walnuts, beet chips, goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was mind blowing. My halibut was good till you reach in the middle where flavor hasn t penetrated inside, so it was very bland inside. Otherwise good experience with my amazing group. Even tough I didn t pay, the prices are very steep for a tiny portion of meal.
Lovely, lux feeling bar! Excellent oysters and drinks.
I was there for a conference. Food came cold. They reheated it (which over cooked the steak. Not a real big deal, it happens. I happen to be celiac. The big problem: I got glutend here for sure. The waitress seemed to have a great idea about the celiac challenges... so I believe the kitchen messed up. I can 100% guarantee I was glutend here. Sadly I was flying back to Calgary the next day... which was hell. For my celiac friends... go to John Browns instead! Dietary restrictions: Dont do it!!!
Bit late on contributing text to the star rating but that in no way diminishes the quality of food and service my wife and I received on Saturday May 13, 2023. The lobster dip as an appetizer was fantastic, although we wish there was more Naan bread and fewer chips. We shared the feature which was a ribeye for two with sides. The name escapes me seven days later but it too was FANTASTIC! Fantastic meal which was served and prepared perfectly in our non expert opinions. Amy, our server, was also great. Accomodating, friendly, professional and prompt which must have been difficult considering the other table she had in her section. Its been awhile between visits for us but we are confident we will be returning much sooner rather than later. Great food, fair pricing and again great service from Amy.
Visiting from Vancouver for a conference and craving seafood pasta. Being Italian and having high expectations, it took awhile and a bunch of research to determine where to go in Charlottetown. Upon waking in to Sim s, Jade welcomingly greeted us with class, kindness, and professionalism. Her food and drink recommendations were on point, her attention to detail was impeccable; this was definitely at the top of a number of fantastic meals on the East Coast. Her service + the food was 11/10.
We enjoy fine dining but for the price, not impressed. Theres much better on PEI.
Ate here last night with family. The food was very delicious, timing was a bit off, they seemed overwhelmed with volume as it took quite some time to get orders to the table. I would highly recommend this restaurant, yummy, yummy good!
We went here for dinner and everything was absolutely amazing. The food was incredibly delicious. We had steakhouse chips for appetizer, steakhouse burger and grilled BBQ chicken as our mains and everything was 10/10. (The burger was one of the best ones I ve ever had) Richard gave us wonderful service and made our experience even better.
Without a doubt, a place to which I want to return
Great service by our waitress. Never missing a beat and very good hospitality. The food was well served and prepared. I recommend the seafood chowder - wonderful flavor. And if you order biscuits, it comes with a sweet butter that is so delicious. The building is well designed in atmosphere, love the old chandelier.
I m from Alberta where we are proud of our beef. I didn t expect such an awesome Filet here in PEI. Everything was delicious. The wedge salad was great. The filet Oscar was divine. If you want a great steakhouse look no further.
Fantastic! Had the filet mignon with the Gouda and a lobster tail. Mashed potatoes were wonderful. Also had the broiled oysters. Hubby had the ribeye. The atmosphere is amazing. Everything down to the restrooms is amazing. Our bartender server (sat at the bar) was great! Dined at 4 pm on a Tuesday. It was not crowded.
Oysters were good but the salad with the flank steak was surprising tough from a steakhouse. Both meals very very expensive and not worth the price. The wait staff was excellent.
Of all the restaurants I tried on this trip, this was the best. Food quality is top notch, with local flavour and flare. Service is classic, high end, exceptional. The atmosphere is very classy, yet rustic. A bit dark, but not too much so. This is the restaurant and the meal Ill remember from Charlottetown. Price is on the higher range, but matched by quality and service.
Best steak ever...incredibly delicious. Expensive but worth every dollar.
Outstanding vibes, staff, and food. Highly highly recommend starting with the bruschetta and lobster dip. Can t wait to go back :)
Absolutely wonderful food!
Table of 7. Had a reservation. Not acknowledged once in 30mins. Just got up and left.
Fine food in a great atmosphere. Our food and experience here was 1st class all the way. Thanks so much!
Food was great. Waiter was very rude.
Great experience. I had 12 oysters, bucket of mussels and 3 beer! Beautiful inside and nice patio outside. Price was fair, the quality of food and service was high! The have a dog friendly patio thats what made me stay. François was a great server!
Lovely staff made the experience great. Disappointed that our steaks had so much fat and gristle for the posh prices.
I hit up Sims on my first night of a solo PEI vacation. My bartender/server was also an actor who was performing in Anne & Gilbert and had a wonderful personality! The food was incredible, drinks great, and the atmosphere cozy. Perfect choice for my introduction to PEI dining.
Exellent. Thrilled. Great evening.
The food was delicious, steak was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts they are sweet and salty and crunchy and soft I wish I could figure out the recipe.
We landed in Charlottetown and decided to have our 1st meal at SIMs. Wow! The food was incredible! Oysters, burger, steak, fish and chips....the taste was amazing! Lets hope the rest of our trip stacks up to this place! We will be back before we leave.
Delicious food, great portion sizes, classy and friendly service. Sims is hard to beat and I definitely recommend checking it out.
Just my personal opinion. Heard great things about this place. However I was not impressed. The steak was ok but as someone else mentioned it was over seasoned, the rest of the food eg fries and calamari were well over cooked and greasy, I probably should have sent them back but with it being a special occasion I didn t want to cause an atmosphere. While it s a minor thing and the quality of the food is what ultimately matters the most; I advised the restaurant my booking was for a special occasions and no acknowledgement was made either during the booking or during the dinner. To top it all off I received an email after my booking asking for feedback which I provided and again this wasn t acknowledged.
The food was good, the waitress very helpful. We sat in front of a restaurant on the street and it didnt really have the atmosphere there.
I ordered pepper steak, seafood pasta, and oysters with Riesling wine. All the dishes were simply exquisite! In addition to the delicious food, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is also very nice, and the staff are kind and polite. This is a restaurant that I would definitely recommend to my friends.
Outstanding in every aspect
Enjoyed a leisurely dinner with friends. Love the seafood brushetta.
Food was awesome and service was great! Great place to go for something special.
Best adress to eat and chill at Charlottetown.
Fantastic ribeye steak with red potatoes and veggies. Our server, Zoe was so nice and attentive. Food
Ate here recently celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Excellent seafood and steak, wonderful wine. Would go back here in a heartbeat.
This was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to we re from Mississauga and it was so wonderful that we went there not only once, but twice we had excellent service by Amy and Jack. Their bruschetta was fantastic, as well as the lobster dip. What made this such a memorable experience for us in particular was the extremely friendly staff. We gave her a five out of five but if we could give it a 10 out of five, we sure would!!
The place was charming with old wooden beams and brick , le chairs were velvet . The server was bilingual much to my surprise. The food was great. Its always nice to try something different. Wonderful evening .
Best meal I had in PEI. Everything was spot on. Had an amazing steak. Oysters were fresh with amazing flavour. Service was perfect. When I am back in PEI I will eat here for sure.
Dietary restrictions: There were some great gluten free and vegetarian options. Food
It doesn t quite suit my personal taste. The steak is a little bit old. There s a little too much rosemary on the potatoes. But the wait staff and dining environment are not bad!
Came here after seeing a lot of good reviews, but was very disappointed. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it tasted very old, like medium rare. The tuna sauce was hard to describe, the goat cheese had a strong fishy smell, and the rosemary flavor on the potatoes was very strong. All in all, it was a very bad meal. experience I came here because of seeing a lot of positive reviews, but it was a big disappointment. I ordered the steak medium rare but tasted like medium rare well. The tuna got a bad sauce, the goat cheese smelled fishy, and the rosemary on the potatoes was overpowering. All in all it was a very bad dining experience!
Incredible restaurant with great food and service. Safe to say: I had one of the best steaks ever. Oysters are very fresh and offered from different bays around PEI.
Good food and great choice of oysters. Price a bit high for me.
Worst steak I have had in years. Tough, chewy, unappetizing. Oysters thigh were great.
The best oysters in town!
Very good.. expensive but great services.
Ate here during our NS road trip, the salmon was amazing! Would highly recommend. The burger was slightly dry, but still tasty and the fries were great! Nice vibe and great service.
Its ok to Get some Fish and chips Because The Beer battered was pretty ok and very much breading in battered Fish but I dont like Fish and chips at Peakes Quay and Sims Corner, Oyster restaurant
Food was delicious. The young man behind the dar waiting on us was great. Food
Had the 10oz striplion, and it was cooked an absolutely perfectly for me. Delicious, Possibly the best steak I ve had in Canada myself. Highly recommend if your in Charlottetown
Very good steak 5*, very dry burger 3* pay terminal brought to table while still eating...but otherwise super friendly. Vegetarian options: one vegan option, many GF options
The food was nice but it wasnt worth the 85mins wait. I would not recommend it if you have kids. The oysters and kids meal came after 30mins. Even though they brought the kids meal out first, they had to wait an hour for our mains to come. Thats totally not feasible. By the time our steaks and pasta came, it wasnt hot. The mushrooms sides was cool (almost cold) and my pasta was cool. Added scallops to the steak, but it was also cool. The waitress was really nice though. For the price, I think I would expect a better food service.
It was good but was hoping for a steak for lunch was not on menu Food was a bit pricey but very good great service Food
My steak was delicious. Service was very pleasant and helpful.
Yeah, It s expensive a bit. But there are no shortcuts when it comes to great steak! Props also to our waitress Amy who made sure everything was alright!
We had a private function here following a bike trip around the province. The food and the wine pairing was fantastic... my steak was delicious...I rarely take photos of my meals, but I had an Australian friend in town and I thought he would appreciate that the steak looked like a baby alligator
Best chicken bacon sandwich Ive ever had. Looking forward to coming back.
Sims was recommended to us as we were visiting from Ontario. Sims didnt disappoint us. The steak was excellent, and the seafood linguine was rich and tasty. It was a very busy the night we visited and we had to sit outside. It was a little chilly but the food and service was very good. I would recommend making a reservation if you decide to visit. Sims is little on the expensive side, but well worth it.
An amazing, luxurious experience right downtown Charlottetown. The staff were amazingly helpful deciding what to eat, beyond nice. Cant wait to come back.
Visiting from Alberta and we stumbled upon this gem! It s obvious this restaurant prides themselves on the experience they offer their patrons. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like our patronage mattered! Our server was a lovely French gentleman who provided exceptional service. The food was amazing & the perfect place to try our first oyster!
Well you know Im a beef eater. Took the ribeye 16oz and wasnt disappointed. Even the fat is good. Meat is tender, tasty, and melt in your mouth. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I wish I could find such restaurant in France. Tasted a wine of red wine Shiraz as well with taste of cherry, currant and cassis. Food
A++ fresh food
The food was just ok for the price you pay. I had seafood pasta with scallops, mussels and lobster. The scallops were way over cooked and the lobster pieces were pretty small. There s a little ramp go up to get to a hallway that leads you to the large dining room in the basement. I almost slipped on the ramp. The baked potato and the side of mushroom were amazing though!
First time there was great food great atmosphere and great service. Lobster dinner was delicious and the muscles to. The steak dinner was delicious to.
Great good, top notch service.
Wow! Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and the staff were friendly. This was our first visit to Charlottetown and a must stop place! We had Cesar salad, tuna crudo, fresh oysters with homemade seafood sauce, steak bread, and the beef, bacon & blue appetizers. So yum!
Authentic and delicious.
This restaurant serves steaks made from cows raised on Prince Edward Island and aged for 1.5 months. I ordered the ribeye steak, and despite the lack of fat, it had a lot of flavor and was wonderfully delicious. The Prince Edward Island potatoes that came with it were also excellent.
We visited last evening and the food was great - the service was terrible. We had the Ardbeg Striploin with added lobster tail and the Seafood Fettuccine. The food was great and was ready very quickly. Aside from taking our order and bringing food to the table, we were ignored by our waitress. We were seated across from the bar where she walked passed many times but she seemed as if she couldn t be bothered. We were surprised as the tables around us were receiving great service. We were given a half glass of water for the entire sitting and were extremely thirsty by the end of the meal. We may have ordered more to drink however were never given the chance. She took a very long time to bring us our bill but was more than happy to continue serving tables on either side of us. Our expectations were much higher considering the reviews here as well as the high price point at this restaurant.
Exquisite cuisine and dining experience. Absolutely beautiful evening
Kelly is amazing. Best steak I ve ever had!
Motorycle ride. Overnight and i have to say amazing. Simply amazing. Thank You for such an amazing meal and wines.
Well the food is not bad but we have to be waiting one and half hour for our food. we were there at 7 and we checked with the server at 8 she said the kitchen is getting our food ready and that also what she told us 10 mins after, then they said they have big group and it need another 5 mins!!!! Well, if you guys can t make food for anyone else other than the big group, I don t think you guys should let people in though. I was plan to have a nice supper with my friend on her birthday but I am extremely disappointed.
Do you want a meal that serves, and slays? Then you ve come to the right corner. This place is tastier then your best gal s favourite aunty s attempt at a seafood supper. Good for special occasions, recently took my parents here to tell em me and the misses are on the splits, again, and she s keepin the Bi s. She cost a fair pinch a change, but worth the Pennies if I say so. Very best lads I know workin the hospitality as well, It s a fine lot to be sure. Mon down for a plate, you won t be disappointed. Dietary restrictions: Don t go if you re on a diet, let er my son!
What a wonderful experience. Very comfortable traditional steakhouse vibe. Rivals anything weve been to in Toronto. Just stopped in for apps and a drink but are coming back for dinner.
Amazing
I think their oyster is the best! Fresh and large sizes, which I never eat rare, but I can now. All food we ve ordered are amazing, the service is perfect, and the environment is chilling. Will be back again!
Great food and great bar tender.
