Incredible. So delicious and the presentation was like art! Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians! So impressed Dietary restrictions: They were happy to accommodate an intolerance I have.

Best sushi on the island

Ne commandez pas les plateaux si vous cherchez de la diversité. Sur 40 morceaux, 20 étaient les mêmes (goberge, avocat et concombre) avec des garnitures différentes. Ensuite 10 autres étaient à la crevette tempura, avocat et concombre. Le reste des sashimis. Il n y avait aucune spécialité. Les sushis étaient bons par ailleurs, simplement à peu près tous pareils.

Menu is detailed explaining ingredients of individual dishes. Many choices to choose from. Staff are friendly and fast. Food was devine. Chefs kiss Lobster Roll was incredible. Worth every penny. Maki pieces are large 2 bite size. Busy place. Will return!

Awesome, affordable Korean and Japanese dishes right downtown. Their lunch combos average around $13-$15 and you get a massive variety of food - salad, side, rice, soup, and main with all the fixings. Strong recommend if you dont want to break the bank or leave hungry. Service is quick depending on the time of day (they can be pretty slammed in the evenings), staff are always attentive and prompt with getting you drinks when needed. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options for both rolls, sides, and other dishes.

Stopped in for supper on our way back to our hotel. Great food and service. We bulgogi and galbi and shared some sushi. The food was reasonably priced and delicious, and the service was quick and efficient. Would recommend.

Very good. Yam maki was particularly delicious.

We ordered a mix of Japanese and Korean dishes and they were all quite good, the spicy bulgogi was especially nice, the portions were huge for the price. The service was also very good.

Great little spot for food and price, however both the wife and I got headaches the next morning indicating they use a lot of MSG in some of their dishes. If you are sensitive to MSG please beware. Food

Ta Ke Sushi is a no nonsense place to enjoy Japanese cuisine. The pieces of sushi and rolls fresh and tasty. The service wonderful and friendly with a cosy atmosphere.

The best sushi place in the city! Special rolls are huge and so good. Highly recommend caterpillar roll and dynamite roll.

The cook here is just in the process of experimenting with different sauces and ingredients, which shouldn t be presented to the public as of yet. Can t believe why you have to wait for a long while to get such awful food, even though it s an island far far away from Asia. Just hope you don t take this as the best version of Asian cuisine.

Love this place! Excellent food and I d highly recommend the Whe Dup Bap ( ) if you ve never tried it.

The appetizer noodle is tasteless, so is the miso soup. You can see from the picture that the coat of fried shrimp tempura is too thick, almost as thick as the diameter of shrimp. We also ordered 21 pieces sashimi, $28. All fish are very soft and rotten. Not as chewy as they should be, and not a bit fishy taste. I would say any all you can eat level Japanese restaurant in Toronto is 300% better than this.

The service was great and the food was yummy. I had miso soup, Las Vegas roll and spicy tuna. It was all great.

Food is always great and served quickly. Very small space so they can get busy pretty fast and it can feel a bit cramped.

If you are lucky enough to visit Ta Ke Sushi, either come on an empty stomach or be prepared to eat the leftovers the next meal you have. The portions are large and very filling. The menu had a variety of Japanese and Korean dishes able to satisfy whatever craving you may have. The servers were extremely attentive and prompt. Unsurprisingly, everyone around us seemed to also have nothing but rave reviews. PS I believe they have a lunch special between 11-3 most days too! (Call to confirm prior)

Sushi was delish

We had lunch and it was good. We had the spicy chicken, japchae, and a cooked roll. The rolls were huge, and the other portions were a lot. If you are not a big eater, you can have two meals out of one. If we are ever in PEI again, we would definitely go here again!

The miso soup and glass noodles that come complimentary before the food are great! I like getting the veggie ramen. I wish there was more eel in the unagi but still tastes good

Best spot for Japanese on PEI. Their rolls are always really fresh and packed! They have a bunch of creative and really tasty vegetarian rolls - great rice to innards ration. The miso soup and noodles come with your meal, and the service is incredible. We love all the staff at Ta Ke. We are regulars here and always look forward to our meal. I highly recommend this spot!

I m a local and this is the best sushi place on the island. We had the maki platter, edamame and chicken skewers. They also bring out complimentary noodles and miso soup. Always super fresh & super friendly service.

The best Japanese restaurant in downtown. Recomend ordering the sushi sashimi maki platter with variety. Udon just okay. Resonable price. Many customers, needa wait for a while for table and food.

My favourite place to get sushi on PEI. Food is always excellent. Rolls are well made and fish is always fresh tasting. Even ordering take out is excellent. Small seating area inside, so sometimes you have a wait if its busy. Its totally worth it though! 10/10 recommend!

My wife and I love coming here. The food has been super consistent over the last year. We normally share a platter and some appetizers.

It s cozy japanese vibe with cute cutlery things. I love sake drinks which was sweet and smooth in tiny cup.Sushi was perfect by chef s choice in menu with different fish in a plate.They serve a miso soup for free.

The tempura was really poor. It was too much batter, and the grease its fried in had to be years old. Sushi was actually pretty good.

Ive visited this place twice for the sushi and tempura, and both times they delivered. Particularly, I think the salmon was very fresh. Would come here again.

Good food and service. Ordered royal club maki rolls and it was enough for me as a meal. When we arrived, we waited less than 10 minutes for a table. Service was good and servers were friendly. Decor was cute and restaurant is well maintained. To pay, you ll need to walk up to the front counter. We were able to split our bill.

Delicious sushi, teriyaki, noodles, ramen, all served quickly and with a smile. My entire family of five ate together and tried new foods without even complaining. And the price was good too. Vegetarian options: There were definitely vegetarian options available and judging by the food we ate, they would have been the highest quality too.

The sushi was pretty yummy. The store was small but I liked eating fronts le sushi.

Fantastic sushi, excellent service. Portions are way bigger than our usual sushi joint so we over ordered. Ask the server if in doubt. Restaurant fills up quickly, so make reservations. Also does a brisk takeout.

I didnt like the place as I had to wait for like more than 30 minutes to place my order even if it wasnt busy and didnt even got my order properly. It may be because of the difference in language (English accent) but I didnt find the atmosphere well considering everything. Dont recommend this place.

been coming here for years now and it s still my favourite. exceptional food, fast service, well-priced, and fills you up. couldn t ask for anything more. the potato crunch rolls never fail and they served my sushi in a heart today which was such a cute touch

One of the BEST restaurants I ve been to on PEI. Went with my sister who recommended it to me and service was excellent. The complimentary miso soup was amazing and food came very quickly. I had the bulgogi and it was quite good. Atmosphere is very traditional and calming. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good asian cuisine on PEI.

The waitresses looks unhappy, as hard to find smiling faces from those girls. The food... Well, I wont believe it made by Japanese chef.

So many options to choose from and you can t go wrong with any. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all options. Makis are so delicious and fresh. We had makis for two consecutive nights. We will definitely come back

We ordered a take out sushi platter so cannot comment on service and ambience. But the food unfortunately wasnt great. Rice was dry and fish wasnt fresh. I wouldnt recommend this place. My husband also found a hair in his food. Soya sauce seemed watered down and a bit tasteless.

Nice place good service they were very busy and will definitely go back the Korean seafood soup was amazing but you have to like spicy broth!

Vegetarian options: Could be more vegetarian/ vegan options. Perhaps they could provide more options to their current dishes. I suspect many of their dishes could be made with vegetarian/vegan options but it is not mentioned on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access into restaurant and they can easily make room at the tables to accomodate a wheelchair. The bathrooms are reachable by wheelchair but the chair does not fit into the bathroom.

We went there on our first night in Charlottetown after reading the reviews. It was amazing. Great service and fresh fresh sushi!! Would definitely recommend if visiting Charlottetown!!

Food really good and fresh - nice old place They open to 9 pm - walk in at 8:07 they told they will close at 9 pm ..ok After seat in 5 mint to order - have few more table in they told the same - while we waiting for food 1 of there staff start to mop the floor smell bleach so bad that only 8:30 ( they should do that after 9) when all customer gone 1- staff very friendly Other not that friendly -good food but owner should training staffs to do better way

Sushi was well portioned and not too much rice. Really focused on the filling, flavor, and presentation.

Items we ordered were good. Prices are expensive (compared to Vancouver), but food costs are more over here. Would love to see bento boxes on the menu ( ex. teriyaki option + roll + tempura + salad + soup).

The best sushi and noodle soup place in Charlottetown by a long shot! Everything taste good and fresh every time. The service is great as well! Only thing I d warn about is reserving for large groups - their dining room is quite small and even if you reserve for a party of 12 in advance, you ll be seated at separate tables. But the food is so good it s worth the slight inconvenience we ve had due to the seating.

Best goto for sushi or any type of Japanese food as well as a variety of great soups for a decent price. I recommend the shrimp dumplings, and any maki/sushi combo.

Good food. Food service was a bit slow, but the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I prefer the IPad ordering system at sushi restaurants (Ta Ke uses printed menus) but overall it was a good experience.

I am from Peru but I love Japanese food, fortunately PEI has Take Sushi Restaurant, good quality and also good price.

My go to sushi place! Ive done many take out orders from them and have eaten in Aswell and have never had a bad experience. Everyone there is very polite and informative with any questions I had with certain wordings from the menu. Highly recommend!!

This restaruant is always a great place to go to. Unfortunately this time wasnt the best experience Ive had. The service is great and the food tastes great, the problem is the rice. The rice isnt warm as it should be, its slightly cold and hard.

Great sushi place and decently priced compared to most restaurants in the area. The sashimi was fresh and portions were pretty large too. Food came out fast and complimentary miso soup and tasty glass noodles for the table. One down side is that they cut their sashimi into huge pieces which makes it kinda hard to eat. Overall happy and will recommend to others.

Recently visited the province to visit some family and we went out for sushi. The service was very slow and left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Portions are grossly large.

Great little restaurant with the best, affordable sushi. Staff are welcoming and sweet. Food is quick and delicious. Wall partitions between tables makes one feel covid safe. So glad they are in Charlottetown!
