88 Boulevard Saint Jean Baptiste, Châteauguay, Quebec J6K 3A6, Canada
Polynesian-inspired decor is the backdrop for a buffet featuring Chinese, Thai & Hong Kong dishes.
Unfortunately they only do take out.. but hands down, they are still the best take out chinese food! I tried the other Chinese restaurant down the street and the soo guy was oily and had more batter than chicken. The delivery guy even helped me bring the box to my car. Love this place!
If anyone is crying about the Tahiti restaurant it’s a real shame. We ordered for 5 adults and we were 6 and everyone had left overs to take home. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended
Restaurant is ONLY take out. Dark and unkempt. Update their WiFi page? They just laughed !
Nomore dining in at this location just pick up and delivery, so sad 😞 that we can't eat in the restaurant anymore, but the food is delicious
We used to love this place ! They offered an additional choice after a certain amount. The selection was extensive, then they reduced the selection to a few lesser expensive choices, as that wasn't enough then they would say that they didn't have the ingredients to make some of those choices limiting even more , now they completely removed the extra choice ! As you can see from the picture I posted the quality of food also greatly diminished ! The chicken soo guy is more batter than anything else. But the price just keeps on rising! And don't get me started on the delivery staff , just incompetent and rude ! Sorry, but you lost me !
I went here with some friends thinking we would be having a great night, eat some great food. Instead the customer service was so horrible that we all had to get up and leave. We asked to speak to the boss and he said so many rude things I don’t even want to think how he treats his employees. Not only that but the egg rolls sucked, most of the food was served cold and we ordered drinks for us to have to wait practically half an hour until we were served. I don’t understand how it took so long even though we were the only ones there. Clean up your act or else I highly doubt you’ll stay open for long.
They have raised their prices but the old prices are still on their website and on their menus. They said the owner is working on a menu reflecting the new prices but still no new menu. If you are using the menu prices or the prices on the website, you will be shocked when you call you order in and find out that it is $5.00 to $10.00 more than you expected. Once again, they've raised their prices. Can you believe it's $6.88 for a steamed rice PLUS TAX. Plain rice is $9.88. This guy has gone off the rails with his prices. Cheaper to go to Chinatown which I've been doing for the past 12 months. Goodbye Tahiti.
Came once a year ago and was blown away with the waitress and food but a return visit with very poor experience from same waitress changed my mind on this place. Decided to give another chance so visited this week, Thursday at 6:15 pm and noticed that it is now a buffet at night rather than a la carte. Walked in to first see the buffet and walked right out. The food looked absolutely gross as though it was sitting there for hours. Also not a good thing that there were only three tables occupied during their prime operating hours. Needless to say, we definitely won't be back. Pay a few dollars more and do yourself a favor by going to Matsu Sushi.
Excellent general tao and favorite wonton. Its always delicious, from my childhood until today. When I was younger, it was the decoration and the atmosphere. Now its better for takeout. The preparation is quick and the quantity is good.
Food is always good. However, this time they forgot to give us rice
Worst customer service I have seen. 2 hours to receive a delivery order. And we are told by the boss in person that he is going to cancel our order, because we are complaining about bad service and that we were not informed during the call that delivery was going to take forever. Never seen that. He asks us the price we want to pay, we make him an offer and he refuses. Nasty cheap. That s not to mention that he changes prices and options whenever he wants. Never again.
Can be better if less serving leftover food
I wasnt too sure... I ordered and Im really really happy. There were plenty of food! I am pleasantly surprised. Yum yum we ate well (a family of four) Thank you Tahiti, it s 100% sure that I will recommend it to you. delivered in 25 minutes
Good to great food but too expensive
Very disappointing. We order a #3 but we dont want the garlic chops so we ask to replace with a 2nd sooguy. Not only is the price based on a combo containing the chops, he takes them away from us but charges us the price on the menu for the 2nd sooguy. Had I known I would have kept the chops and would have ordered an extra sooguy. Let s see, charge a little extra like $4 or $5 for the replacement
Traditional taste
Honest without more
Only thing you will leave here with is food poisoning. I don t have a clue how this place is still open. The food is terrible, service is meh and it s neither clean nor safe to eat at. Go somewhere else!
Super good
The place always looks closed. No lights are on. Whenever we have ordered especially by phone the employee (a man) is super rude. The food is also sub-par.
Very good for the price
Very good excellent!
Wonderful customer for over a decade
They close at 7pm not 8pm....they stop answering the phone at 7
Good service and great promotions
Ruined the best part of their menu, which was all the free choices with the #1. A shame, cause this was one of my favorite places to order.
We had stopped ordering from this place for several months because there was always a problem e.g. (not fresh, missing something, found a foreign object) and last night we decided to give the runner a chance and we ordered. My son spat up something while eating the chow mein and it was a large piece of raw chicken we called and the owner did not want to reimburse us for our dinner he only made a credit for the chow mein only for the next times. There will be no more next times and it will go further we will contact the inspectors. Luckily my son was not sick.
After 2 hours my order hadnt even left the restaurant, the 2 times I ordered there, the delivery was zero, for the price it was really frustrating! This restaurant is crazy for me
Its not worth the price. Very disappointed.
Very good
Very ordinary quality of Chinese food. Correct but nothing more. Very slow service
No very bad service no stars missing things in the orders taken away, not strong, I will never spend there again,,,,,
Google say open. But it closes very early. 7:00pm it closed.
The chow mein is a real delight! Funny and friendly owner, very warm welcome.
Today there is no answer by phone between 5:45 - 6:45. I try calling 15 times to get my food. What is going on?
Always great tasting and fresh.
Really not as good as before, very disappointed.
Horrible service, and do not honour the list of free dishes with purchases over 25$
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The best one in Chateauguay by far!
AFTER 2 HOURS WAITING! I M CALLING! A computer problem, supposedly! AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF TRYING, TO HAVE A SERVICE! 3 TIMES, including this situation, there have been problems! AFTER 2 HOURS WAITING, 15% ok its probably good for the majority of people but I asked for 20% and its not possible the ORDER IS CANCELED I HAVE ALWAYS WORKED IN CHAINS AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Came for the burnt end egg rolls, the flavour was good but the ro ls were a bit small, soggy and oily.
Not great... Lack of taste, everything is cold. Very thick sauce. Its not the best place Ive had Chinese food. There is a burnt taste in the rice.
Egg roll heaven
I find the service at the A1 counter. THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES OF THE SAME KIND.
Egg rolls are the best in the city. The owner cares a lot about his clients. My favourite place in Chateauguay. Thanks!
American-style Chinese....correct at the counters.... although a little cold at the reception. The service is fast, their biggest advantage for me are the round egg rolls, well filled and one of the best I have tried with a sauce that is not too sweet, cheap as many serve .... my hight ...egg rolls, are like the Kenny wong of the great years, it doesnt just taste like the dough, and the wongtong tastes very good s y before drowning it in the soy sauce
Excellent takeaway order service. The situation does not allow us to provide information on dining room service. The exterior appearance could benefit from improvement.
an ok place. nothing too fancy...
Great
Breanna was the best waitress in the place. The food and the service was impeccable.
Excellent
This restaurant regularly loses some, the food heats up too much and when you complain they tell you Ill look for you in the kitchen... (why?) she tells you its fresher its for orders.. In the restaurant well let you know not edible.
Easy friendly place
Always a great take out
Food is good but horrible management this is my second time trying to eat at this restaurant. 1st time we went at 6pm and were refused because they wanted to close early. 2nd time is there closed for vacation. You have your restaurant on Google with times and everything you should update your stuff according to whats going on. Instead of having people come for dinner only to be refused its ridiculous.
Not good
It was delicious,
Terrible! Dont order, dont eat from this place, stay away. Worst chinese food ever plus the owner is so rude.
There are various combo menu items and they offer bonus items if your purchase is over certain amounts. Our favorite is their Dinner #3 for two people, with extra egg rolls instead of soup, a bonus item of Pineapple Chicken and an order of Hunan Dumplings. Enough food to easily feed four people. Their egg rolls are the sausage shaped variety, which I prefer over the other type. My absolute favorite are their Hunan Dumplings. Just the right touch of zing in the peanut sauce... a must try item!
No no no stars were born on a Friday evening 2 people it looks dirty no atmosphere the buffet so very very dry I scratched then it remained sticky, dry and too much to reheat even dangerous for consumption so reheat I work in a field food and after 2h30max its supposed to be changed it was 6h we left we couldnt stay ever Im going to set foot again the girls were also in big discussion at the entrance without saying good evening to our arrive no really me the stars less than 10 I forgot to put a star to display my message but remove it really phew
Very bad in the dining room and cold. When I went there, the desserts were not fresh and dry. I told the waitress and it was as if I hadnt said anything! I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Hefty bill on top of that.
I asked for a pad thai (it was a take out i went in and ordered it) even the bill said pad thai. I got home and it was white rice with chicken and mix veggies on top. Im not much of a complainer so I didnt bother to call them. But the food tasted awful had to throw it :/
Ok..so this is my 2nd time at Tahiti...a year ago, i stated the restaurant was dated, and the buffet was limited. They have since moved to a la carte menu. Reasonably priced fresh...and really good options on the menu...go give it a try.
A classic in Châteauguay
Very good food
Quiet good food Friendly
good buffet fair price
This is some of the worst Asian food I have ever had. Ive ordered from this place more than 6 times to try a variety of dishes. Here is what you are safe in ordering or eating: egg/spring rolls; hot and Sour soup; chicken fried rice; any of their vegetables dishes such as Cantonese chow mein or Szechuan vegetables. What you must NEVER eat is their General Tao chicken as it is a big blob of gelatinous goo; their Szechuan shrimp which are so small and overcooked it is like eating rubber that I am sure you will spit them out; the garlic spareribs which are half fat and sinew. Stay away from this place and either go to Lotus for lovely Vietnamese food or go over the bridge to the city for good Asian food.
Good buffet not too expensive
Always love the food.
Chinese food is great and they have all you can eat.
Good food at a good price. Buffet leaves a lot to be desired though. Ordering off the menu is better.
Food was good. Had takeout. Wasnt impressed by the ambiance of the restaurant.
Tastes like fat nothing is good
I just showed up at your restaurant and was disappointed that it was closed. You Never mentioned on your website that it would close for the holidays of construction. There were 10 couples that were there beside my husband and I that were very disappointed! Next time say something on your website as I know i checked it out before coming to the restaurant!
I love the food on the menu, the shrimp with grand marnier, a real delight
Theyre food is 100000000/10
Very good food! Bring your wine or find your bottle at the SAQ express right across the street.
Food is tastey however never enough protein in their mixed dishes therefore a little overpriced.
Too much money and bathroom dirty
His General Tao chicken is delicious.
I like fusion
For me the interior is like the exterior not famous and expensive for what they offer a star for audacity
Delicious
So good! I prefer the a la carte option because you get to order all you can eat off the whole menu. But the buffet is really good too. Especially when they have someone working the wok. And its BYOB... Awesome
This restaurant has a very poor reputation for hygiene
Not a good first impression on delivery. Food was tasteless and I found two hairs in my food. Never again.
Payed 20$ for a so called buffet that never replenished there dishes restaurant was empty and now I know why. Would not recommend at all.
Ordered take-out meals, when I showed up at the agreed time, the order was still not ready, had to wait 45 minutes.. several customers were waiting for their take-out as well. When it came time to pay, there was an error in my bill.. and at home we were not at all satisfied with the food! Its a shame because the buffet itself has a beautiful decor and could be great if everything else had a complete makeover. Requires: New cook, new food, refreshing the place, etc.
Chinese buffet. Nothing fancy but the food is good. The eggrolls are delicious.
Excellent food and price nightly tasty menu #1
Great food
a very good restaurant. nothing special . a little expensive for what it is. we pay the price of a Fu Lam for a very limited selection. average decor. but ok for a buffet.
Very good and reasonable!
Been coming here since I was a kid. Best egg rolls Ive ever had. You have to try this place.
Its the best Chinese food on the South Shore
This restaurant was fined for problems a while ago but I still dont go because I dont know if it is okay now.
Empty restaurant on a Friday night is a bad sign. Old food in the buffet. Bad tasting. So bad that we are going for a second supper elsewhere.
love it
