Popular Chatham Airport cafe dishing up thoughtfully sourced gourmet breakfast & lunch fare.
Expect to wait, our party of 2 was asked to expect a 30-minute wait mid-day on a Wednesday, but it was less than that. Was seated at the railing outside facing the runway...I recommend it! Had the Breakfast Fish and Chips from the specials board and it was fantastic, with several elements on the plate. Not your typical breakfast, not your typical fish and chips. Service was very nice and very personal, and surprising considering how busy they were. I really felt taken care of and the food was very high quality with beautiful presentation. I loved the attention to detail, and my experience made me feel they really cared. Highly recommend, especially if you don't mind waiting, but picnic tables outside, a cloudy sky, and a few planes coming and going make the wait easier.
Expect a wait but was really good food. Chicken sausage croquettes, delicious, Benedict delicious. Only thing we didnt love was the donut. Bit dense, but slap some fresh jam on and was good. Beautiful views of the active air stripe to accompany you while waiting and eating.
Incredible breakfast. Our table was placed in front of a window on a scorching hot day but I could look past it (despite my sweat). The view was worth it and food was perfect. You won’t get a better breakfast elsewhere. Prices are reasonable. Views and food quality are worth the wait. Nice people too
What a fun place! Having grown up on the cape I never even knew about it! Amazing atmosphere, totally kid friendly and the best part is both kids and adults are entertained with all the planes coming in and out! Not to mention the food is out of this world. Delicious! Highly highly recommend
Who doesn't love a good airport diner? Wish I saw the specials but we got the pilots breakfast and the lemon Ricotta pancakes. The home fries are incredibly crispy...they might have been my favorite part of breakfast if the pancakes weren't so good! Highly recommend stopping here, expect a wait and check out the specials menu!
So excited to see vegan options here. The huevos rancheros were great, substituted their amazing potatoes for eggs. It’s fun to watch the planes while you’re eating. Next time I’ll try the vegan pancakes. Thanks you!
Hanger B serves breakfast and lunch, and is quite the find. It's artisan cooking, with remarkably good food, pleasant service and a fun location looking over the cute little Chatham airport. We had breakfast, an omelet and eggs Benedict. Eggs on both were super fresh and just right, but the potatoes were a surprise, big rough chunks of mealy white potatoes, maybe Yukon gold. Outstanding. Hanger B has elevated the whole meal. Water comes cold in a big bottle to share, the condiments are upscaled, for example with salt and pepper in grinders, and coffee is served in a French press. There's vegetarian and gluten free options. Daily specials are posted. Also there's coffee and pastries at a window on the ground floor. Hanger B is up a flight of wooden stairs. Location is a challenge for handicapped diners. There's plenty of parking by the road and a big space with picnic tables while you wait for a table. Children would be happy running around while waiting for a table and would like the food, too.
Pretty cozy little spot nestled right up to a municipal airport. You sort of cross the tarmac to walk up to the eatery. Awesome food, big portions. Went in the off season and got to see one airplane land, it was a blast. Proposed to my then-girlfriend on a trip after going here and she said yes, so I'd say it was a pretty good little diner!
Let me start by saying I usually only review restaurants I really like and dont say anything if I dont. Ive owned restaurants and know how bad reviews can hurt. I live on Cape Cod and love going out to breakfast. This morning my wife and I decided to go outside our normal territory to try Hangar B. Reviews are great and menu sounded atypical so I was excited. We ordered orange juice and coffee as we studied the menu. As I was reading, I felt a jolt of cold liquid splash on my back. Our waitress had spilled some of my wifes orange juice on my back. She apologized and got me some extra napkins. I didnt make a big deal of it at that time. We ordered our food which came out in a timely fashion. I had the red flannel hash which sounded good and came out just as advertised. My wife ordered eggs Benedict. When it arrived I thought the hollandaise sauce looked a little off. It had a reddish brown hue. She took her first bite and found out the sauce was spicy. I believe there was either Sriracha or cayenne pepper added to the sauce which gave it the color. This was totally unexpected as the menu just listed hollandaise sauce as an ingredient. No mention of added heat. In my opinion, hollandaise sauce should not be spicy hot or if it is, it should be noted on the menu. She tried scraping off the sauce but the flavor was still there. She was unable to eat it as she is not a fan of spicy food. I gave her one of my poached eggs which had no sauce on it and I took one of hers. Luckily I happen to enjoy spicy food. I will say the lemon curd jam was delicious on my sourdough toast. My biggest complaint and the reason I decided to post this is because other than an apology, nothing was done about the fact that the back of my shirt had big orange stains in a couple places. I had to go home, rinse it out and change shirts before going to my office. In my opinion, there should have been an offer to comp at least the orange juice or it should have just been taken off our check. Overall Im afraid I was disappointed with our experience there and we are unlikely to return.
Amazing food and excellent service
Hangar B? More like Hangar A+. The food was anything but plane. Portions were perfect, food was delicious. Service phenomenal. Get the doughnut as a starter you wont regret it, the jam medley is amazing. And gentlemen, my wife was VERY happy
Great little spot with delicious breakfast. Come prepared to wait as there s only a few tables inside but food is well worth it. Everything is made from scratch, great special options, and kid friendly!
I think this restaurant should be one of the must-see places in Cape Cod! This is a great place for brunch. The chef is brilliant. The dishes were very well seasoned and just right in taste. And the service is excellent. For a brunch it was incredible. The place is unusual and really charming, enjoying your brunch and watching the cuckoos take off, that doesnt happen every day.
The food here is exceptional. The huevos rancheros tomatillo salsa is so delicious, and i am from Los Angeles. The french toasts are decadent. The donuts are dense and just sweet enough. I love this place. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, except for the wait.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They had some very interesting selections. Unfortunately, I wasnt hungry enough for those. The special donut though was expensive and bland. Tasteless. The atmosphere is great - at the airport. And the service was good. Enjoyed it. Food : 4/5
Great little place! Thought it was a hidden gem, but really im the one under the rock. Expect to wait 45+ mins for a table on weekend mornings. They estimated within 5 mins how long the wait would be, and food was fast once we sat down. Was the best breakfast we had while in Chatham! Although, it was a close call. Wish we could have seen some planes come in/out, but even without that entertainment, would definitely recommend. Side note - I don t eat meat and it s always hard to find places with filling meals. Not the case, very friendly to dietary needs!
Great for kids to watch the planes! Staff was so sweet and food was incredible! Highly recommend the red B potatoes and chocolate chip bread pudding French toast!!
What a great hidden gem! The staff here are nothing less than amazing and the food is outstanding. You get to sit pretty much on the runway at Chatham airport. Plenty of parking. Make sure you try a donut as a little appetizer first. I promise you will enjoy yourself.
Unbelievably delicious and flavorful food. Wow
Vegetarian options: We are vegetarian and it was fantastic! Parking: Lots of bike parking! Kid-friendliness: Loud enough and friendly service! They seem to have plenty of high chairs
Go to a different restaurant in Chatham, you will spend less time, get better food, and meet nicer people. Extremely long waits, nearly 1 hour 45 minutes to get seated, 45+ minutes to get food after ordering, the whole table s food was under-seasoned bordering on unseasoned, service was mediocre at best. If you want fish tacos that are fish sticks and mayonnaise, this is the place for you.
Awful! Rude staff. Will not return after being spoken to rudely by the two at the host stand.
Really REALLY great donuts.
Get there early 8:30am or earlier or Else youll wait but its worth a wait. The Hollandaise sauce has a nice kick to it.
If youre looking for next level breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere and cool scenery, try it! Youll be back....
Just delicious! And a fun experience watching the planes take off and land. The crispy potatoes are to due for.
You wouldnt think it but this was an incredible delight. Wild mushroom omelet with side of bacon was ridiculous... top notch
Thank you for the delicious food and friendly service!
Food is great if you do not mind the wait every time we go there is a waiting time for breakfast
Amazing breakfast (pay attention to the specials) impeccable service, come early and avoid the crowds. Incidentally, I had to come back one more time before heading back to San Diego.
Great breakfast. Small so there was a little bit of a wait for a table.
Food is awesome! Not the typical options you would expect.
I enjoyed their lunch food on an early February day. Let me just say, the food is fantastic. But, 50 minute wait? And the tables were only half-filled? This is because they don t have 2-person small tables, only 4-6 person (mostly white, glass tabletop) seating indoors. The customers are predominantly couples, which when we were there meant that 2-4 seats per table were unused. I will come again, because if the food, but only during the summer when outdoor seating is available.
I love Hangar B, and particularly their fried brussel sprouts!
Each experience continues to surprise with fresh ingredients and excellent preparations. Interesting combinations provide delight to the senses. A definite winner in a casual atmosphere overlooking the runway.
Best breakfast on Cape Cod. Tracy and her staff are as professional as they come.
Interesting menu but breakfast is better served hot.
Incredible food! Thoughtful & professional staff! Amazing place that gives back to the community with outreach programs. Such a special place! Thank you!
Its a goto for a great chatham breakfast. Or get busy and their may be an hour plus wait. Its worth it. Eggs Benedict with their hint of spiciness in the hollandaise is a favorite as of the chocolate croissant French toast. The breakfast potatoes are the best I have ever had. All this deliciousness comes with standard chatham pricing.
Awesome service and delicious food. Looking out as planes sre coming and going was amazing.
Staff were brilliant and the food was amazing
Amazing food
Love everything about this place.
Outstanding creative food. One of the best of Cape Cod!
Great for families. Good creative dishes. Good quality dining with excellent service. Food
Our family loves the menu and food here. The owner is great, and gives back to the community. Get here early, or be patient.
Hangar B does not understand what it means to be open until 2 . What they actually mean is we stop serving sometime after 1 because we want you all gone by 2 . Do not show up at 1:30 and expect to be fed. Actual operating hours should be posted as until 1p.m.
Good Eats, well worth the wait. Unless you are an early riser who is ready for a 7am breakfast run, you will likely find a wait of up to an hour. The food is amazing and coffee is spot on.
Food is amazing! Not your typical brunch fare. I wish I had a bigger appetite but will go more often to try all the great vegetarian options. Vegetarian options: Delicious
How could they rate only 4.5!? They greet people so welcomingly. The meals are special and filling and yummy. They don t rush you out the door. Everything is always fresh ALWAYS. Hangar B is a 5.0. Charles Evan( fly- in customer)
Great atmosphere
Great place! The folks love seeing planes taking off and landing.
The breakfast at Hangar B Eatery is worth getting up an hour early. This place is small, right on the Chatham airport tarmac, up a steep flight of stairs, but worth every bit of the effort it takes to get seated and enjoy their phenomenal food. I have a very difficult time ordering anything other than the breakfast fish and potatoes. Unless the red flannel (beet) hash is available. Everything is wonderful. I tend to order more savory dishes, but they also have luscious sweet things. This is not a sticky, typical eggs and toast joint. Its well prepared, thoughtful, creative food in a casual atmosphere. Kids are treated well. Seating is limited, and the wait can be long during high season. But while you wait theres plenty of seating outside to watch the small planes take off and land. Coffee and wonderful donuts are also available to folks waiting out back. Check online for hours. And be cautious entering and exiting. Stay in the marked green pathway. This is an active airport. Vegetarian options: There are definitely delicious quality vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Hangar B has room outside for kids to run around while waiting for a table, high chairs, and sippy cups
Stopped for a couple of paper cup coffees and one donut. $12.50 but the plane watching is worth it!
I honestly wanted to love this place based on the reviews. We drove over an hour to get there from the south shore. When we arrived we were told it would be an hour wait (expected based on the reviews). After waiting for a little bit my husband decided to book a plane ride for 2 hours later thinking we would have plenty of time because we get breakfast all the time and an hour should be plenty of time to order and eat breakfast. We were not sat until 1.5 hours after getting there and my husband asked multiple times where we were in line always 2 groups in front of us (I understand seating can be hard I have hosted before). We ordered the second we got to the table. It took 40 minutes for us to get our food which is crazy for a 10 table restaurant. I have been a waitress, host and manager of many different restaurants I have never seen a restaurant with 20 packed tables take 40 minutes to make the food let alone a breakfast restaurant with 10. When my husband asked to get our food to go and to pay the manager or host not sure what her job was was very rude about it. Another waitress ended up helping us out and luckily they were able to get us a little extra time to get on the plane. I won t say anything bad about the food because we didnt get to eat it at it s best time. The host/manager says a lot about your restaurant and I herd other parties making comments about her. I think it s time for a new one.
I m giving this place 3 stars mainly because the food was amazing. The wait however, miserable. We drove an hour to eat here based on a recommendation, we arrived at 9:45am and was told it was an hour wait. We agreed to wait. We did not even see food until about 11:45am. It wouldn t have been that miserable if we did not have to wait outside in direct sunlight for the duration of this time. The are tables outside and a place to buy coffee and pastries while you wait, but there is no hiding from the sun. My kids were melting, both ended up with sunburns as well as myself. If it wasn t for the planes there is no doubt we would have left. They truly need to invest in umbrellas or something for the paler humans in the world. Also, this place is pricey, breakfast for 2 Adults and 2 kids, no alcohol was $93 including tip. I m not entirely sure it was worth the wait.
Worth the wait!!! Food is amazing. Staff is so nice and you can tell put their heart and soul into it. Get there early but even if there is a wait, grab a coffee and watch the planes take off while you wait for a table! We really enjoyed our experience here.
Amazing!
An amazing little diner above a small municipal airport. A unique dining experience with great food and a comfortable atmosphere.
Ive eaten a lot of breakfasts at a lot of breakfast restaurants, and the two I had here while vacationing on the Cape were some of the best Ive ever had - these guys know what theyre doing in the kitchen! I wish I could go every week!
This restaurant was suggested to us and it was delicious! We all enjoyed the hash brown so much. We will definitely go back.
Hangar B is arguably the best breakfast spot on the South Coast. Yes, its true. I stand by this and challenge anyone to speak to a better restaurant. Why, you ask? Ok here I go - house made donuts dusted with sugar served with house made jams and lemon curd - lemon ricotta pancakes smothered in seasonal berries with real maple syrup (which I personally dont think you need) - house made smashed red bliss potato home fries - sublime egg dishes - savory fish taco to die for I could continue but surely you get the picture. On top of this, owner Tracey is the coolest chick around. Service is flawless and views of the hangar and runway cant be beat. Much love for Hangar B for oh, 11 or 12 years.....
Very good exelent
This is a popular place for breakfast! Short wait to get a table but worth the wait! Fantastic breakfast options.
This place is bonkers delicious. If youre on cape definitely go here for breakfast. The menu selection is incredible and the quality is so high. This is definitely not seedy diner food. Get the sweet potato donut with the jam and lemon curd spread. I also had the lemon ricotta cheese pancakes--incredibly delicious. You dont want to miss this dining experience. Love this place!
Always fresh, hot, seasoned perfectly. A Chatham iconic location with friendly service
Perfect spot for a perfect breakfast! Service was as good as the food. Try the lemon curd on your English muffin...you wont be disappointed! Lemon ricotta pancakes and Mushroom omelet.
Delicious as always!
Easily the best fried potatoes on this side of the Atlantic.
The absolute bomb! We had heard so many wonderful things about this place and had driven by so many times, including one time when we stopped but didn t have time to wait. This past Thursday we made it a point to stop, knowing that time was running out before the tourist season started and it would be even more difficult to get in. Three words Believe the hype! . Best breakfast ever! I got the fish and chips breakfast special with a cornflake crusted haddock, arugula, roasted tomatoes, roasted baby red potatoes, two fried eggs, and a sriracha aioli sauce. There was absolutely nothing on my plate that would not be award winning on it s own. All together? The best dang breakfast ever! Sorry. Forgot to take a picture. I was a little distracted.
Very cool spot. It will always be fun to have breakfast on an airstrip. The pancakes we thought were the best.
All of the food is amazing. Best donuts ever. The best home fries in the world and dont forget the chipotle aioli.
Huevos are amazing, but I rarely get them because the specials are always so intriguing. Awesome service, great presentation, swell location; we got to watch a trainee take their first flight today!
Highly recommend if you are in Chatham!. They are open year round which is great! Staff are always friendly and happy. Love being able see the planes outside. They can get busy so make sure to get here early.
This place is worth the wait! Everything is so fresh and delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for, the fruit on top is so fresh, the home made jams and curds are fantastic and the home fries are what dreams are made of.
Delicious food and great service
Eggs cooked perfectly, homemade jams are delicious
Pancakes are amazing! Really cool place and super friendly service.
Great food, great service and very cute location.
Way over priced food over cooked
Everything was delicious! Definitely gonna go back. I think is going to be my breakfast places for this summer.
Really, really delicious food! Its a small place so a little crowded/noisy. Service was great. Parking: plenty of parking but theres a short walk (and stairs) between the parking and the restaurant.
Still fantastic after some 13 years. Originally came here B.C. (Before Children) and have basically been thinking about the place ever since. Happy to report that the food is still just as fantastic as remembered. Everything from the coffee and orange juice (best OJ ever according to my wife) to the clearly freshly made spicy hollandaise was perfect. The only reason for the 4 stars was it took almost two hours from when we showed up until we had our food. Evidently they were having issues in the kitchen on this day that caused seating and service to slow to a crawl. I understand these things happen all the time with small businesses, but effort could have been made to ease the pain of the families with small children (come around with some baked goods samples etc for the waiting throngs). Still the best meal I had on the Cape this year and will always recommend.
Absolutely in love with the strawberry thyme balsamic jam. Our breakfast was incredible overlooking the planes. Service was great and speedy!
Get there early as it fills up fast. Food is amazing!
A long wait for a deep dive into mediocrity. As a local favorite I can understand a long wait, and a place for a gas & go. So far, so good. We were told a 45 minute wait and it was about 45 minutes on the dot. OKAY! Lets eat... Well, not so much. We ordered, and asked for an additional breakfast sandwich to take home to a family member who couldnt go. 45 minutes later...no food. During that time, not even a glance by the wait staff, no, sorry folks it wont be much longer. No, can we get you some more coffee? Nada. So 45 minutes later the food comes out - first thing out? - yep the breakfast sandwich I was taking home. Were they super busy? Nope. 10 tables being served, 4 waitresses, 2 cooks. I had plenty of time to count. Food quality? Meh, good average at best, whispy bacon. Not 1 1/2 hours good, for breakfast. Yup, it will still be a popular spot with locals, still get the fly ins. But Ill pass - touch and go, no land, Im, Im outa here. Oh, the coffee downstairs was good.
The food was amazing here the whole menu is full of original quality dishes
Flew from Worcester MA to Chatham with 2 of my favorite students. Wanted to treat them to lunch at Hangar B before they head off to college. Restaurant was half empty, more than half the deck chairs were empty, half the picnic tables were empty. Asked a waitress if they had room for 3 people. She directed me to the blonde lady inside. I asked the same question and was told there would be an hour to an hour and a half wait! (???) I said you only look half full but she didn t budge. We had to leave! I m a reasonable person but just don t understand why they would refuse service and discard sales like this. Perhaps they should remove half the tables and chairs in the restaurant to better reflect their capability??? I left with 2 very disappointed kids. Absolutely won t be back!
Loved the vegan huevos ranchero. The fried potatoes are delicious!
One of the most unique dining experiences ever....I ate pancakes while watching a plane take off. If you have an Aerospace enthusiast in your life, this is a must.
Great breakfast with a view of CQX airport.
Right on the runway in Chatham. A little pricey. No Adult beverages. Only Mimosas in a can. Plane rides available.
Everything was delicious and one of the coolest place I ve ate breakfast!
Love this place. So unique and the food is amazing. The Brussel Sprout and egg potatoes dish is out of this world
Very cool menu! Staff was friendly and kids has enjoyed the planes. I recommend!
Food: The Baja style fish taco s were very good. I would recommend this dish if you dine here. The red flannel hash was just okay. Didn t taste that standout delicious or anything. Beets carry a very strong flavor even just on its own. When combined with everything else, the flavor of the dish became muddled. Service - Waitress: She was very kind and was a pleasure to have be our server. Con: The person taking down names for seating and calling people when their table was ready. She was the only person to leave a sour taste for me, and the reason for this review. Funny enough, we didn t mind the wait time for dine-in. We were told an hour wait and that she would call us up when they were ready. There is seating outside and a few seats inside the building on ground level. The restaurant is on the second floor. There are stairs on both the outside and inside of the building from the ground level to the second floor. We were seated inside the building during our wait, due to the hot sun and no shade outside. We assumed that was perfectly fine since she never said either inside or outside, and we previously heard her call a couple up from inside the building. But I guess we were wrong. We never heard her call our name. She may have called us from the top of the outside stairs, but we don t really know. After an hour and 10 minutes or so passes by, I assume that the longer wait was fine. Due to families with children and taking awhile. I honestly didn t mind if that was the case. Around the 1hr30min mark, I decided to go up and ask how much longer the wait would be. And that s when she said oh we ll be able to seat you in just a second. So I went back downstairs to wait, and we came out from inside the building to hear her calling for us that the table was all set. But while we were coming up the stairs from the outside of the building, we overheard something she said to another table as she was going back inside the building/restaurant (There is deck seating outside and they seemed to have asked her what happened). She said oh no they just left and came back. And honestly, please don t lie. We never left. You never went to the stairs inside and checked there at all. You know, I can put up with wait time, and food quality and not write a google review. But when you lie to others to make us out to be the bad guy, and lie to our face, that s what irks me. So we sat down and ate, noticing the other families that came after us, already finishing their food and leaving. As we were leaving the restaurant, I happened to pass by her, and felt the need to ask her if she thought we left, because we did no such thing. Me and my need for clarity. Her response was along the lines of, oh yes, sorry I don t remember if I had forgotten to call your name earlier, but I didn t.. check the inside. Sorry for the wait. So yeah. Never checked inside the building, definitely never called from the inside stairs, because we were seated inside the whole time and would have heard her. And she had the audacity to lie to other patrons making it seem like we had left and come back, so it wasn t her fault. And she didn t apologize for the truth to begin with, until I called her out for it as we were leaving. So yeah, go to hangar B for the flights you can take downstairs, and if you do order food, just order it to go. Suggestion for the future: Don t just assume someone left and cross their name off the list. You definitely had the capacity to check outside and inside the building. You just chose not to. Moreover, don t lie. The truth always comes out. A fake smile and a fake apology doesn t get you anywhere.
1 hr 30 min wait for breakfast. Took my business elsewhere
Unique and delicious eatery at the Chatham airport. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat outside (with our 2 dogs!) and enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. The food was delicious - recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes and roasted potato home fries. Also the fish tacos!! Great friendly service also.
Delicious as always! Artichoke hash is one of my favorites, and the potato buttermilk doughnuts are a delight! Gluten free options available as well. Small venue, so possible wait time, but worth it in my opinion! Parking: Parking along the airfield, may have to walk a little ways when busy.
Great breakfast blending eclectic breakfasts with stand by favorites and fantastic muffins and old fashioned donuts.
Best breakfast in Chatham!
The food was delicious. The service superb. Cant wait until next season to come back. The Lemon Panackes left my mouth watering for more but my full stomach from the eggs Benedict and home fries would not allow me to eat another bite. The views from the airport landing strip also convinced us to take a scenic flight. This establishment was so much more than any review could describe. There can be an extended wait but you will not be disappointed
There can be a decent wait but I had the best pancakes Ive ever eaten. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were sooo good! Watch small planes take off and land from the deck or from the windows inside. Really friendly staff. All the food we had was delicious. Compliments to the kitchen team! Would drive back from NY just to eat here again.
Incredible braised dinner. Thank you Brian. Loved it all and a great night with my sons. Don t miss this place for any meal they offer.
The view is unique. The cuisine is fabulous. The service is personal. The experience is worth the wait.
One of top breakfast spots chatham area. Also doing interesting dinner specials ..check it out!!!!!!
The food was absolutely amazing. I cant wait to go back. The best breakfast Ive had in a while. I definitely recommend trying it.
Best food around!
Delicious food! I got the special this week and it was fantastic. Also got to have one of the almond croissant with a hibiscus lavender ice tea!
The food is not bad. But they charge us 14 dollars for one donut with jam. Which makes no sense.
Just had brunch, delicious food!! Creative fries, home made donuts, muffins and jams. The donut only is worth the trip ( we paid 3.5, not 14 as another reviewer mentioned).
A little pricey but totally worth it. Presentation and food were excellent!
Really just OK. The scenery was better than the food. There are better places to get eggs but I like planes and being this close is cool.
Food was a little pricey for what you could get most anywhere. Mimosa in a can, is awful. Vegan pancakes, are also gluten free, they were as heavy as a lead brick.
Great food!
Great food next to bike trail. Service was great really nice staff. Highly recommend.
I am so disappointed we didnt take a picture last night of our Braised Short Ribs with Fingerling Potatoes, and Roasted Carrots. I am shocked all the reviews are about breakfast! That dinner was beyond phenomenal! Melted in your mouth !! The fried donut holes with lemon curd was a great ending to the perfect meal! If you havent gone in for dinner... you cant go wrong with the short ribs!
Amazing place. Best breakfast in Chatham. Huge portions of well made delicious food. Great for kids as well.
I grew up summers in Chatham and I live in Los Angeles. The minute I took my first look at this menu I knew the person who created it was from California. Very creative, very California, very beautiful breakfast menu. The service, the food, the hospitality, all delivered the goods, while overlooking a cute Municipal Airport. Very cool. Can t wait to go back. What a discovery.
Best breakfast in Chatham! And dont pass up a chance to take a cape tour with the Stick & Rudder, downstairs! Highly recommended!!
Delicious, pricey but worth it, funky atmosphere
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. I definitely would go again when in the neighborhood
Eating eggs benedict while watching Cessnas take off and land! Really cool atmosphere, inside and outside deck seating, theres usually a wait but you can get an iced coffee while you wait and watch planes. The food way overshot my expectations, the fried green tomatoes were great and their home fries/hash browns are amazing. And theyre dog friendly!
Great service and coffee. The breakfasts were amazing! This place will be our go to for a grwat breakfast experience.
amazing food, very well presented and really just top of the line delicious. Big portions too! I have eaten here several times and very happy each time. daily specials are great!
Food was excellent, the service was attentive and the view was really cool. The wait can be a bit long but it is totally worth it. You can get coffee, tea and donuts while you wait for your table to be ready or you can grab and go. The service was polite and incredibly kind. The food was amazing and there were options for everyone weather you be gluten free or vegan or have any other dietary restrictions. I will most deffinitly be returning.
Great food in a amazing location.
Food was great but very long wait for food to arrive
Clean and very nice staff. The food was more (taste and volume) than we expected. Will absolutely visit again!
Nice
We went for the aero tours thats in the same spot but we saw the restaurant and it looked clean and friendly. Staff was friendly.
Really nice place and the food is bomb !
Unique breakfast....excellent atmosphere....very attentive staff
Great food, service and atmosphere. Wait can be a while, but its worth it!!
Rode our bikes here via the bike trail; we had an hour wait but WOW what a delicious meal. The best breakfast I ve ever had at a restaurant. Very nice workers too:)
Fantastic food, excellent service, delightful surroundings. However, I ate something that gave me really bad farts.
Book in advance for a flight and expect long wait to eat.
We got to Hangar B around 9:15 a.m. on a Saturday morning and only had to wait about 5 minutes. Any later and the wait was much longer, but worth it! My husband has celiac disease and loved the cinnamon pancakes, a rare gluten free treat when eating out. I had to cut my 2-year-old daughter off on the silver dollar pancakes, which were basically full size and she devoured them. I had the applewood bacon sandwich with avocado and it was probably the best breakfast sandwich I ve ever eaten. It came with very unique, crispy homefries that my husband and I agreed were the best part of the whole meal. Add in a cool, novel location right next to the Chatham Airport where you can watch all the planes, and it was a fantastic experience. We ll be back on our next trip to the Cape, for sure!
Nice to watch small planes taking off and landing. Very small dining area. The food was good, but $50.00 for breakfast for two was too expensive.
We love this and have recommended it to many friends. The earlier you make your reservation the more likely you will get a window seat and the view is awesome! Food is amazing and the place has great style.
Went here on the advice of a native of Cape Cod. The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast? Order the Red Flannel Hash or the Breakfast Sandwich!!
Amazing breakfast but plan accordingly. The wait can be long in the summer and weekends
Best food Ive ever had at a GA airport
The food is so good. Everything, and if not everything then everything that can be, is organic. They have tons of milk options for non dairy people, they have a bunch of loose leaf hot teas served in a French press, iced tea, hot coffee and cold brew, juices and the breakfast foods are incredibly good. Inside the restaurant is really cute and the outside counter is nice as well. They don t take reservations and it s rather small inside so there is a solid chance of having to wait. I had the pilots breakfast (2 eggs with sourdough toast, potatoes, and your choice of bacon/sausage/avocado) and it comes with butter and some really good jams. It is a bit pricier for breakfast but well worth it to me!
Soooooo good! Great place to being the kids!
Best breakfast in wellfleet
We come to Chatham twice a year and we always make sure to stop at the Hangar B Eatery. Really good food & coffee
The donuts are fresh and buttery in all the best ways. Service is super friendly and attentive. And the coffee roasted in house is AMAZING. A French press on the table? Yes please.
Great little airport restaurant.
Hangar B is always delicious, their menu is creative and everything is so fresh!
This is where I treat myself to breakfast, my favorite meal of the day. They are experts at poached eggs but thats just the start. It s what they put them over that knocks your socks off. My fav is the artichoke and fingerling hash but my friends rave about the red flannel hash. So fresh this is 5* hotel food in a quirky and fun location. The owner always greets me by name and the staff is so nice. Also, the B-Side Coffee is bomb.
The breakfast order was completely wrong. When are came the bacon had been sitting to long completely cold, plus I never ordered it. The toast was not toast but rather stale and not toasted. I ordered coffee with cream and no sugar, It came out black and with sugar. I am diabetic and that was expressed.
Very fun atmosphere watching small aircraft and the beautiful biplane. Great food as well.
Delicious and hearty breakfast. Fantastic
Great food
Delicious meal in laid-back setting at cute local airport. Wait was worth the food.
Loved the atmosphere and the views provided by the outdoor seating. Major downside was that it was very windy so we couldn t have the umbrellas open and not much shade available. Everything was flying off tables. Food was good and good variety. Definitely recommend the donuts with the jams.
Good morning. My name is Sophia Fisher, and my daughter and I had lunch at your place yesterday 7/16/20, around 12:30pm. First of all I have to say that I ve always loved eating at Hangar B, and I ve always had a pleasant experience. Your food is marvelous! Unfortunately, yesterday was the most dreadful experience I ve ever had at ANY restaurant. The minute we got there, we were greeting with attitude. I wasn t wearing a mask and the gentleman yelled at me telling me it was the law to have it on in the area where you check in. I didn t know, and quite honestly, all of the people that were at picnic tables eating lunch weren t wearing masks and so I just wasn t aware of your policy. I live in Michigan, and each state is different. I apologized, put on my mask, and put our names in. When we got the call, we were seated, and sadly had the rudest server imaginable. I don t recall her name, but she had shoulder length hair, and black pants. She was NOT the really tall woman with jean shorts and red hair. Our server treated us as if we were bothersome, and we felt unwanted and unwelcome. When I complimented her on my coffee, she looked at me and walked away. I have no idea what was on her mind, and why she felt the need to be outwardly rude, but it ruined our lunch experience. We had been looking forward to this day for the last month. Our food was delicious, but as I said, our lunch experience was ruined. Upon leaving, I had to use the restroom. As my daughter was waiting for me, there was a cockroach on her leg. Sickening!!! We walked to the car and I called and asked to speak to a manager. A man came on the phone and I asked if he was the manger, at which he said yes. I explained what happened, and told him he should know that a cockroach was in the premises of your restaurant. His response was that he could not control what was outside and hung up on me. I was in complete disbelief! How in the world could my experience get even worse?? I would like to speak to the owner of Hangar B before I post this on social media, google reviews, and trip advisor (with a pic of the cockroach.) I don t want to do this, but if this is the way that you now conduct business, I feel it s my obligation to warn people from going there. On top of it all, we felt the need to throw away our to-go boxes. If a cockroach was on her leg, then who knows what else could ve touched our food. I m sorry to have to write this letter to you but I truly believe the owner deserves to know this. Kind Regards, Sophia Fisher This was my letter to the OWNER of the restaurant. The response was that I should self quarantine. JERKS!!! NEVER EAT THERE!!!
Take out only today due to covid. Truly excellent food, quick friendly service. Had a crab cake sandwich which came with a great salad and some of the best home fries I ve had in a long time.
Very expensive
Food was great, but the automatic gratuity rubbed me the wrong way especially when we werent even given napkins or utensils.
Great food and service. Cool to watch the planes too. Very safe and clean as well as conscientious.
We were blown away by the quality of their breakfast the truffle arancini burrito & bacon/egg/avo sandwich were stellar. But the real hero were the fried breakfast potatoes O M G. There is definitely a long wait given the circumstances with Covid, which they were up front about when we placed our order at the window, but theyre offering online ordering if you can plan ahead (unlike us while on vacay). Great surprise...highly recommend!
Awesome site seeing
the menu was completely different online than when we arrived so we had to take some time to figure out what we wanted and the worker seemed very aggravated with us she was giving us mean stares. it was a very unwelcoming atmosphere.
Serves the best breakfast on the Cape. Order online for easy pick-up. Youll miss the crowded tables inside but dont miss the takeout. Its special.
Great airport
We enjoyed the lemon ricotta pancakes, French toast, and bacon egg sandwich. Flavors were were perfect. Not too sweet or salty. Side potatoes were great too. The wait is long so order ahead.
Huge portions of really tasty food. And cool location to sit and eat watching planes. We tried the bacon and egg sandwich, the pilots breakfast and the French toast. All delicious. The potatoes are completely addictive. Need to order well in advance for most things but well worth planning ahead. You wont be disappointed.
Excellent breakfast food - try one of the breakfast burritos!
Delicious & sophisticated breakfast experience. We tried a few places for breakfast but food at Hangar B was absolutely the best. They know how to make a simple egg sandwich look and taste great. From the buttery croissant and perfectly fried eggs to the creamy avocados and crunchy potatoes it is a journey you dont want to miss. Yummy! We will be back!
Best meal I had in cape cod.
Great brunch stop! It is hidden in the airport so if you didnt know about it you might miss it. We went for a biplane tour of the Cape and then ate delicious food at the restaurant.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! I had artichoke, onion and potato hash. Heaven! Homemade lemon curd very tasty, as was the strawberry jam. One of us had the crocettes, parmesan risotto, and absolutely loved it. Bread pudding french toast also superb. If you are visiting this area and miss it, you will regret it.
Hidden gem. Gourmet food. Great service. Quaint. Only drawback is the long wait, but its well worth it. Watch the planes take off while you wait
A hidden gem of a brunch spot in the Chatham area. There can be a decent wait if you go at peak hours, but the airfield is a perfect entertainment and the food is totally worth waiting for. Try their home made jelly- it s the bomb!
Best breakfast in town
2nd floor overlooking little air field. Pricey, but worth it - great food.
