Takeaway food not nice at all. Hidden charge for Deliveroo delivery even though not ordered through them. Should have been £1 delivery only. Very rude staff who ridicule customers when politely reporting delivery charge mix up. Not going to be an issue in future as will never eat from there again.

Well respected Chinese Restaurant in Chatham Kent. We had a lovely evening meal with 6 friends, the reception as we walked in was superb and the staff were just so kind and patient as we scoured our way through the menu. Nothing was too much trouble with ordering extra drinks. Highly recommended for families with or without young children. Vegetarian options: The restaurant oozes patience and happiness towards its customers through amazing and caring staff. Dietary restrictions: Just ask the staff and they will explain everything clearly. Kid-friendliness: There was already young children in the restaurant when we arrived and the staff were happy to have them there. Wheelchair accessibility: Small step into the restaurant then a door to negotiate, but I am sure they would accommodate a wheelchair if you let them know in advance.

Going there for years now. Favourite place of the familys!

AVOID TAKEAWAY Takeaway was very poor. Rang it through and seemed ok. Took 45 minutes but food was pretty awful to say the least. Soggy sweaty chips, nasty tasting dishes which had been thrown together. Will definitely not try here again there are many much better places. Restaurant should up its game it s shameful (unhappy Customer £45 down)

Highly recommend not to eat much before you come because you need plenty of room to appreciate a feast Parking: Unfortunately, the car park behind them has closed, so park up the top of the hill opposite.

Food had a grey curly hair in it, which the waiter then agreed to, and called over the other women who turned round and said it was a BEAN SPROUT! This was after receiving a dirty plate to eat food off without even an apology, service is rude and clearly not meeting hygiene protocols! Will not be returning, absolutely disgusted!

Food is good, however, I think service has changed slightly negatively recently. I dont like the aspect (not just Confucious) that in Asian cuisine you have to be out by a certain time (roughly 1.5 hrs) having a big host of people spending upwards of £250 in one sitting. I dont like the aspect that you will be refused to re-order close to your proposed leaving time when your are the paying customers for an All-you-can-eat.

Even if it doesnt seem inviting, you should come in and enjoy the food. The meat was tender and the vegetables were crunchy. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was a bit rough at the beginning, but then very nice. We will definitely come back and enjoy the menu.

DO NOT EAT HERE Just had lunch here with my girlfriend the food was disgusting was just bone and gristle on ever course we ate not that we had a lot the staff was very rude especially 1 member of staff and had the cheek to still charge us 50 pound please do not eat here it s absolutely horrible me and my partner spent the rest of the afternoon on the toilet

We went for a work birthday meal last week, there was 11 of us altogether. The restaurant itself is tiny and not much room to move or sit. Once everyone arrived one of the staff team basically implied we might walk out without paying and asked if we could pay first which wasnt an option because not everyone was paying. The same staff member was patronising when discussing the food options and went down the menu one by one rather than letting us actually look at the menu ourselves to choose. The rice was dry, and the egg fried rice was like plastic. The chicken curry tasted powdery like it hadnt been mixed properly. Absolutely do not recommend.

Amazing Food, Amazing Staff.

Good quality Chinese cuisine and serving some traditional Asian dishes which is rare to find in a small local restaurant. The service was quick and staff was nice. Reason for 4 star and not 5 is that the restaurant can certainly do with a refurb to make it more welcoming and comfortable for guests to eat in!

TABLE OF 8 6pm Very disappointed with some of the meal and service today. Charged for a child (4yrs) that didn t eat a thing. They wanted to argue the fact they had cooked extra for him Was served noodles that had been stuck to the bottom of the pan. The noodles were evidently burnt, we could see and taste. Special fried Rice was dry, The sweet and sour chicken was slapped on the plate with 70% of the chicken pieces totally dry and the sauce was at the base of the plate (slap dash) Unfortunately that will be the last time I visit the restaurant, I have eaten there many times but they have clearly shown that money is more important than customer satisfaction. Shame!

All you can eat, fixed price buffet, but everything is made to order. Friendly and attentive staff. Located just after the pedestrianised section of Chatham high street, but worth taking those few extra steps. Dont let the decor put you off (basic - but clean).

This place is a hidden gem. The staff are attentive and can not do enough for you. Eat as much as you like, starters, soup, duck, or lamb, followed by mains and dessert if you have any space. Chicken satay and mussels with garlic are our faves. Each visit, we try a new dish and it does not disappoint Kid-friendliness: Our 11 year old doesnt really like Chinese- however they do chicken satay without the sauce which together with prawn crackers means he can enjoy a family meal out

Lovely food and a simple ordering system. Food is all cooked to order and not bulk cooked and kept warm. Peons are not big, so dont think you will share a dish with just a couple of you. Reasonable price and friendly staff.

Food tasted awful, squid overcooked with batter undercooked?! Vegetables practically raw. I had food poisoning all next day. Threw leftovers in bin.

Went for a 12th birthday. they could not cope with Two tables. food very slow and took nearly four hours to eat. birthday girl was very disappointed as she was on the quiet table. She told her mum never go back there, not happy!!

Came down from west Yorkshire to surprise my daughter the staff where very perlight food was out standing I would definitely recommend anyone to try definitely will not be disappointed will definitely be going back thanks to the girls who work there keep smiling

Excellent food, large menu and traditional Chinese high standards. The staff are very knowledgeable about dietary requirements. This is the first Chinese restaurant I have been to since being diagnosed as having gluten intolerance. I was delighted with the range of gluten free options. Will definitely be going back!

Always a pleasure eating here especially in a large group we were looked after well friendliest staff made to feel as if we were part of the family.

Staff - very attentive and helpful, nothing was too much. I have a bunch of allergies/intolerances and food without fail came out as requested. We didn t feel rushed but at the same time we didn t have to wait for ages, food came out as and when we asked for it. Yes, lots of deep fried stuff but then again - that s Chinese food for you, if I wanted something super healthy, I d go to salad bar! Excellent Chinese food and exceptional service

Visited this restaurant on Saturday 39th July. Food was excellent as usual but was not happy about being put in the back room right next to the kitchen and toilets. Also poor quality paper see through tablecloths let this restaurant down !!!

Visited this restaurant last night for a get together with friends. Manager very rude Food is nice although you have to order starters , second course all together then mains . Portion sizes are very small when their are a few of you eating even if two or more of same dishes are ordered. They make you feel like you can t order anymore dishes if you liked a certain dish . When ordering a few dishes manager said don t keep ordering as no waste otherwise 25% is added to the bill. It s a set price per head (£19.99) and states you can order what you want. There wouldn t be any waste as portion sizes so small. You need extra dishes to fill up on . Decor needed updating . It s not a restaurant you would go into if you was just walking past Manager needs to be less rude

Been coming here for nearly 20 years and cannot rate them highly enough. The food is always of a high quality and cooked fresh to order. Still reasonably priced at £20 all you can eat. The team is amazing and friendly.

My first visit to Confucius having read and heard good over the years. My partner and I had the buffet and I can honestly say it was the worst Chinese we have ever had ..so disappointing. The only highlight was the satay sauce with the beef skewers, which was superb. The other dishes were well below par. Such a shame and consequently, I won t be returning. Sorry Confucius.

DO NOT EAT HERE! IF YOU HAVE YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN. We went to this restaurant today for my dads birthday, firstly staff were not friendly on entry. Once sat down and ready to order the buffet option the waiter explained that I would have to pay £6 for my 1 year old - who is DEFINITELY not going to eat even 2 spoons of rice. She said if she eats I have to pay, if she doesn t eat I don t have to pay. I had expressed my feelings that she is literally going to have a couple bits from my plate - she ignored me and walked away. I then got up to tell her that we were ready to order and she said she is not going to take our order until the whole table (6 of us) pay! Before we have even eaten when this wasn t the general consensus of the restaurant. No way was we giving our money to them so we got up and walked out. Kid-friendliness: Are not fair on prices for babies.

Visit this restaurant at least once a year. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. Make sure you book well in advance for the weekends as they can become fully booked very quickly. For the best experience, I recommend booking as a larger group. Fantastic for special occasions.

Fresh, family run with waiting staff that cant do enough for you. A true diamond in the rough. Tucked away in a part of town that doesnt always get a great name for itself is this delicious all you can eat restaurant. Each dish tastes like its freshly cooked with flavours that completely drown your tastebuds. Come with plenty of time because youll want to eat EVERYTHING!

Second time here. But this time i will never return. Very outdated and smells of damp. The food they bought out was very cold on cold plates. And was so salty and nasty. They will never take a look at reveiws or even care but save your pennys and find somewhere else to dine because it was so so bad honestly.

Very friendly staff and owner, they have taken the covid 19 very seriously in the restaurant. The food was cooked fresh and we were asked if we would like any more as we finished each course. I might of had too many banana fritters but they were very nice...

Nice food but was made to feel uncomfortable from the start. Went for an all you can eat but was made to feel like we was ordering too much. There was 2 of us and when asking for two of the same dishes (both paying customers paying for the all you can eat) we were only getting one to share and being told the portions sizes are big (not true).

Normally would recommend but tonight was a very different experience and hope it was a one off. 3hrs to eat ? Due to service The duck took 25 mins to get to the table Not all our orders arrived Refused a second plate of curry until the one we was given had gone ? 7 of us at the table so two of us had to wait for the second curry Had to ask for desert menu not all arrived and had to chase. 7 people with 3 beers & 11 cokes = £169. WOW. Unfortunately I don t think that was correct In fact, after reading this I think it s time I found another place.
