The service is very very bad ordered online over 2 1/2 hours will not be using this place again

Extremely disappointed waited over 1 & a half hours for delivery and the restaurant wouldn t answer any of the 20 calls we made! Seriously . Don t bother!

Food is great, but took hours, and the phone number doesnt seem to work. Have they moved?

Ordered through UberEats - customer service is absolutely trash - ETA for one delivery was 7:30pm-7:50pm. By 8:40pm there was no sign of food. Attempts to contact the restaurant (5 calls) went straight to voicemail. UberEats advisor also attempted twice to no avail. Incredibly disappointing. Second time the incredibly delayed delivery has happened to us. The lack of communication is even more shocking! 0/10 do not order unless youre prepared to wait hours for a meal!

Food was delivered an hour after ordering online. Poor customer service when called to check on the order status. Food is below average. I specifically asked not to add green peppers on Thai green curry and it was loaded with it. I won t be ordering ever again. Horrible, waste of time and money!

Absolutely disgusting customer service. This is the second time I have ordered from the restaurant and both times items have been missing. I called the restaurant to explain and on multiple occasions they have hung up the phone on me after having awful attitudes. They sent a driver out to me to re- deliver the missing items, only for them to still have items missing, every time I called up they would cut the phone on me. I will never be ordering from here again. They need to gain some respect for their customers.

Ordered for a delivery at 8:50pm was told be 45minutes. Hour and 10 mins went by rang up said it was on its way. Nothing had arrived anytime soon. Got to 10:40pm just before closing, I rang back up to enquire how long. No answer. Tried until 11:00pm and nothing. If they didn t want to take the order they only just had to say. No dinner for us tonight. Been going here for years. Past couple of times been longer delivery time which isn t an issue if they also didn t forget our items. Absolutely terrible! Will not be going here again. Loyal customer for 2-3 years. No more. Bye bye! DO NOT RECOMMEND

This was terrible. We ordered our food at 7.30, with a 45 minute delivery time. After calling several times and being hung up on, we got our food at 10pm. Please do not order from these guys. Delivery driver was lovely and very aplogitic.

Tried ordering from here, my mum tried to see if they could do the food gluten free they couldn t but we still went through with the order. They cancelled the order so we thought it was a mistake. Tried ordering again and they cancelled our order again even though we put a note explaining not to cancel the order. Got so frustrated we just ended up ordering from another place. Never again.

The food is nice, but after a 2 and a half hour wait, and being hung up on twice, as well as 2 items being missing, we won t be back. Only saving grace is the lovely delivery driver. Oh and also, small tip to the restaurant, try actually answering the phone with maybe a, Hello, Jade Garden, etc, as opposed to the grunt we got both times. Really disappointed.

DO NOT ORDER ON UBEREATS!!! They don t deliver. Every-time I kept calling them the line was busy. Someone picked up once and said my order would arrive on 15 minutes, I never received my order at all. I waited over two hours thinking it was going to arrive. If they don t have a driver then they should inform ubereats and cancel the order, not keep it going. Now I have to wait a whole 24 hours to get a refund. Disgusting!

Worst takeaway place ever, customer service appalling didn t get part of my order that I requested, took 3 people to talk to as they didn t want to deal with the complaint, they said I lied about my order, they didn t listen to what I had to say they kept on repeating you didn t order that you didn t order that you chowmain chips and chicken balls about 10 times, told me the order came to £15 on the phone with no mention of the delivery charge so had to pay more then they said you can come and pick it up if your that bothered and hung up on me I rang then again straight after and they disconnected my call, bearing in mind the reason I ordered is that my wife is 6 months pregnant, she was crying as she couldn t eat what we had and how rude they where as it was late hence the reason why I ordered and they refused to send the correct item food went cold as I was trying to deal with the complaint so I couldn t eat it, thank you jade garden for ruining my evening, never again will I order from this rude place again,

After placing a delivery order via their website I was phoned by an angry rude staff member who tried to demand that I pay more for the delivery even though it was already included on my email receipt. And then to top it all off I found a dead yes dead fly inside one of my food containers. Revolting will stick to my regular Chinese

In my opinion Jade Garden is the best Chinese restaurant in Medway. Great food and attentive service.

Unfortunately, the food is just average and the price is not appropriate. The spring rolls were just dry, the chicken sate was fried to death, the sauce was thick. The sweet and sour sauce came exclusively from the chemistry laboratory. There are absolutely better Chinese places nearby.

Ordered on the uber app was 40 minutes late and forgot our bottle of coke then didnt answer their phones after calling them many times. Food was alright and still turned up hot.

We had a lovely dinner in this hidden gem, the food tastes truly authentic like my mum would cook and the prices are decent, the atmosphere is nice and the carpets remind me of what my aunt used to have in her house, I loved it here and will be returning Parking: Parking on the street is quite difficult to find however I think its free after 7pm

This is the worst takeaway in Medway. If you have taken the time to read the reviews please do not waste your time ordering from here. I ordered through Uber eats and had to wait over 2 hours, only to have to travel to the store to collect the food as the restaurant didn t answer the phone or update the delivery status, despite having paid for delivery. They are dirt cheap for a reason, don t waste your money or your stomach

If I could give no stars I would. Waited 2 hrs called 5/6 times no answer. So had to Order somewhere else. Luckily we was paying cash so when it turned up we sent it away. Absolute joke. Won t order again.

I would give no stars if I could. I will NEVER get a Chinese from here again. Prawn toast with ,what looked like, Scowering brush residue on it and my sons Sweet and Sour Chicken had so much bone in it, he literally had to spit it on his plate. We are getting dinner somewhere else tonight bit £30 down for nothing. Worst Chinese I have ever had. Note to self.......wait for them to at least get a Food and Hygiene rating as it still does not have one

If I could give this place a zero I would. Appalling service... Did not receive order after 1hr 20 min so decided to ring to find out what was going on. To get through took ages as the phone was just constantly ringing and not being picked up. I tried to email to no avail. Once I did eventually get through the woman was extremely rude and told me it had left the kitchen and hung up before I finished speaking. How they get enough custom to stay open with such a stinking attitude is beyond me.

This restaurant is extremely terrible please do not order from here. The customer service is extremely rude and disrespectful, their menu makes no sense. Please save your money don t eat from this tacky restaurant.

Having not been here in about 10 years we decided to pay a visit to what was once a beautiful restaurant. Sadly not anymore. The carpet was so filthy my shoes stuck to it and it looked as though it hadnt seen a vacuum in many year. The ceiling a few tables away from the kitchen had caved in and looked as though it was ready fall down as we ate. The walls are dirty and the door to the kitchen was disgusting. I ordered Cantonese chicken and was presented with sweet and sour chicken! The waitress argued with me and after first telling me it was sweet and sour then tried to tell me it was Cantonese! The food was mediocre at best and I would never eat here again, judging on the state of the restaurant I would hate to think about what the kitchen looks like.

Ordered food at 6-10pm still hadnt arrived at 8pm so phoned was kept on the phone for 15 minutes while they went to see what had happened to my order afer speaking to two different people I was told my order would be with me in 5 minutes really bad customer service I have used this chinese for years new people in there now its not the same bring back ken

Ordered for home delivery. Have been using this particular Chinese for a while now. Food is very nice Portion sizes are good. A lady usually answers and is very helpful. As in my partner always makes changes to his dishes and they always make it to how we ask. Food is always hot on arrival.

Placed an order online, waited 2 and a half hours. They lied about when the food had left the restaurant, tried to cancel and was then told they couldn t cancel the order as the food was out for delivery! Disgusting place. Offer for shredded beef, buy one get one free. The problem is there is no beef in shredded beef. No meat at all really. No wonder its on offer.

I ordered via Uber eats. The order was running late, I phone to find out how much longer and was told 10 minutes. An hour later no food arrived nor was a contacted. This led me to cancel the order and request a refund from UberEats.

Ordered online so I could pick it up after work, one of the meals had mushrooms in them so my partner could not eat as she has allergy against them. So following we Ordered again but left a message asking for no mushrooms, and once again it had them just proves they dont read customer instructions. Next time I Ordered in the shop again asking for no mushrooms, when it arrived I checked for mushrooms and there was none. The following week I again ordered online, and once again there was mushrooms. Its under new management bring back the old owners.

Food was ordered via UberEats, own staff delivered. Delivery was on time, lady was polite. Food was lovely. Will definitely order from here again.

Two weeks in a row I have been and ordered our take away in the restaurant. The staff were nice and food was nice but both weeks I have got home and had missing dishes. We drive 15/20 minutes to get to Jade Garden passing at least two others Chinese restaurants on the way. I think we ll stop at one of those next time

Was a great go to Chinese, now new owners? have reduced it to a very mediocre Chinese. No atmosphere, food bland, a few menu items unavailable, hygiene questionable. Didnt enjoy experience at all, final nail in coffin when ordered desert, and asked for banana fritter was told the kitchen was too busy to make it, despite there being only 3 other tables occupied in restaurant. So paid bill and left with no one in group having desert.

Very nice restaurant , friendly staff , food was great been going there for years never disappointed, no longer does the pick and mix menu as the items in the older pictures but they are on the main menu still

Ordered through UberEats. Delivery took quite a while & mainly the food wasn t great. Tasted hard like it was yesterday s food. Wouldn t return and wouldn t recommend I m afraid.

The service was very poor as they served us while aggressively chewing on something, the food wasnt worth the price especially since it was quite expensive we expected the food to atleast taste good but instead we all went home sick vomiting. The building itself needs renovation as by just looking at it from the inside you could tell it is an old building from the peeling paint to the stains on the ceiling, although we sat well away from the entrance door we were still cold despite all of us wearing jackets. I would definitely not recommend this place as we travelled 40 minutes to go there just to be disappointed

Me and my girlfriend went there and the food was amazing along with the service. Fantastic atmosphere and would recommend for others.

First time tried here and it will be last time curry sauce to hot chips are all just bits and pieces and spring rolls are all burnt chicken curry full of oil absolutely disgustingchips were burnt and bits and pieces the chicken curry was oily runny and really peppery it was burning as soon as put it in my mouth the spring rolls were burnt and soggy and no taste at all

Massively disappointed with nearly everything I paid nearly £30 for. First off all asked for curry sauce separate to the chips but got soggy chips in a plastic contained soaked with curry sauce..salt and pepper chicken was as dry as the Sahara lol no taste and bland had to put extra seasoning on! Prawn balls, prawns were solid and literally chewing every one for a minute!! Chicken wings no taste at all and dry. Will never be using this chinese had so much better. Would not recommend to any one..

Service was appalling and the menu made no sense, they re was 7 of us to eat yet you could only pick 6 dishes for the table. The food took forever to come out and when it did finally come out we had nothing but problems. Staff are extremely rude and laughed when we was telling them the problems we were having. Welcoming staff! Charging out of its league for the food, it was a little too salty, Instantly saw the carpet, really needs a deep clean this was not a good impression when we went in! One thing when ordering the waitress was very pleasant, but quick to add orders our kids decided without our consent, just felt a little desperate for custom. We wouldnt come again unless they revamped it!

Takeaways are really nice, however the experience in the restaurant was sadly quite the opposite - the whole table felt pressured to order rice for every person, but when it arrived there was easily enough for 2-3 people to share per bowl. This added a decent chunk to the overall bill. The person serving our table also insisted we put orders in while other members of the party were still looking at the menu; they seemed almost offended when we asked for a few more minutes. When we asked for cutlery or ordered certain drinks, there were a couple of occasions where the person serving us gave us funny looks before they obliged. While Im sure they most likely werent intending to be rude, it made us all feel unwelcome and as if we were causing the staff some kind of inconvenience. When the food did arrive, it was OK. There were a couple of issues but nothing major, however despite ordering all together, one person waited for 10 or so minutes after everyone else had been served. I dont personally feel it justified the price tag per person. Again, as a takeaway, this is probably the best place in the local area to go - thats why I was hugely shocked by the dine-in experience; it was completely different to what Id expected based on past takeaways from them. My review isnt being posted for the sake of targeting the staff, nor do I wish to attack the business in any way. Im sad to see there are other people with similar sorts of experiences there, and I hope the collective feedback helps to make improvements in the dining experience.

Now I ve ordered from here before but today absolutely shocking service. Glad I opted to pay cash on delivery. Called up just shy of the 60 min wait time to confirm the order was on its way. Put on hold for a good five mins. Kitchen hadn t even started cooking the food! Basically told me do I want to continue with the order and the reason was that they were busy. Asked me if I wanted the kitchen to continue and cook the food!!!! If I did they were estimating another 30mins on top of the hour I had already waited. I don t usually complain about such things but it s not like this was a cheap order either-£53!!! Decided to take my money and custom elsewhere! Unreal!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE !!! ordered through uber eats which said it would arrive between 7.10 to 7.30. It did not. Then I eventually got through to the jade garden restaurant to find out where my order was and they said it had left around 5 minutes ago... This was at around 7.50. And they assured me it would only be 10 to 15 mins. When it eventually turned up at 8.35 I spoke to the delivery driver and she said she had only picked it up around 12 minutes ago and it was still warm. So jade garden lied to me over the phoned saying it had already left the restaurant at 7.50 even though the uber eats driver hadnt even collected it untill approx 8.20. Terrible experience and took over 2 hours from me placing the order and uber eats didnt even update their app.

Used jade garden a number of times before not used for a couple of months. Service really got bad ,had a delivery whirch has not arrived after being told 40 minutes, when i phoned the restaurant i was told the driver had left 15 minutes before, i only live 2 minutes drive ,will not be using them again.1and a half hours later still not arrived.when it finally arrived the food was so salty put it in the bin.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was served hot but it wasnt great. I found the Prawn Toast squidgy, the Crispy Seaweed was far too salty and the toilets were downstairs with what looks and smelt like a disused fountain. Very cold. Food

If you need a Gluten Free diet, call here!!! The lady on the phone was so so helpful. My partner has been recently diagnosed with a severe gluten intolerance. She even checked with the chef to ensure they could make the dishes GF specifically for me, and they did. Extremely polite, food is always good and now good to know they cater for Gluten free needs too!! Not the cheapest but definitely the best value and customer service.

Disappointed with our take away, portions sizes have been halved. Place has gone down hill. Going to try some where different when we want another Chinese. Not impressed.

Going out for dinner when everyone at the table has different preferences on food can be difficult but the very friendly staff and more specifically Ken was soooo helpful and went above and beyond to help. Not even had our food yet but thought the staff service deserved a mention. Edit: food was amazing, full of flavour and cooked just right. Would give more stars if I could.

One of my favourite Chinese restaurants, good menu selection with staff who are happy to help. Family run? I suspect so. They made my daughters meal with a surprise ice cream and candle, nice touch. The sizzling dishes are always tasty can recommend the fish. Been eating here for a long time (20 year) never been disappointed. Decor a tad old, but the food is excellent.

Lovely chinese with set dinner which always pleases. Staff are always attentive and on hand to help but not pressured like some places. Support this place as will disappear if you dont. ;)

My first time in this Restaurant which serves traditional Chinese fare and I wasnt disappointed. We ordered a starter menu followed by some main courses. Some of my group struggled with the starter dishes because there was so much of them. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive and all questions were answered thoroughly and with politeness. Id definitely visit again. EDIT. Just visited again after an absence of three years and the service and food is still wonderful.

Had a take away from here on Easter Sunday. It was fantastic!. Food was delivered within half an hour of ordering. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Will be using this take away from now on. Thoroughly recommend it.

My food arrived on time which was great but I was very disappointed to not have the tubs filled up like most places and my chickens balls were smaller than a 50pence piece ...they literally fitted onto a teaspoon. This is the first and last time I will get food delivered from here. Very disappointing.

Delicious food, arrived quickly and all questions about allergens answered really nicely. Definitely highly recommended and a friend of mine has tried them tonight too and enjoyed it

Having been ordering from here from sometime, goid food and service more recently they have a young man answering the phone, he is rude !! So I have gone elsewhere Such a shame as the ladies are great, but as this has now happened more than once will not go back, he need to go on a customer service course and learn some manners !!

not impressed with this place it s gone down hill i had a takeaway yesterday and half of the things i wanted couldn t be halved and could only be full size which is strange because when i dined in there they could do half on everything and the noodles tasted disgusting iv had noodles in there before and they were fine but this time they just tasted weird and they couldn t even do salt and pepper onions because there busy? i m sorry but they did it other times think the lady on the phone was just being awkward i even asked for the manager since he did it for me last time and she said he was busy!

2 hours for a delivery on a Sunday!!????? Apparently it was because of traffic!! What a joke, absolutely never again

Ordered a takeaway 2 hours later phoned them and it had not been sent out used this place a lot but the service is going downhill rapidly had our phone no and still didn t phone to let us know there was a delay terrible customer service

Ordered food, 2 hours later still no home delivery, phoned restaurant and was told that order had not been cooked and would take another 30 minutes, I am a regular customer and always order a large amount, this is ridiculous, who wants to eat at 9.30 in the evening, they did not even offer anything as compensation, although they had phone number and could have phoned to say that the order will be late. AVOID as food has been constantly cold when using home delivery and also dispensing stale prawn crackers.

Good food and variety for a good price

Terrible. They said it would take 1 hour to arrive after ordering but after 1.5 hours nothing had arrived. So we phoned up to check where it was and they advised it was only just being cooked and would be another hour. And then they cancelled the order! Ridiculous. Not worth the bother to be honest.

Lovely food great price

Used to be a good Chinese visited recently for meal with friends .the restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable. Food average .did not get what I ordered. In my experience dont think it was as good as it used to be.

We had a family 21st birthday meal at Jade Garden today and it was truly amazing. There were 25 of us and the owner and his wife were just fabulous. The food was delicious, lots of it and every dish was piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble and they served us with a smile. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food and excellent service waiting time is just like any other place no longer than usual staff very polite and friendly. A great selection of food and all cook to perfection cant asked for more. Will definitely be back thank you for a lovely meal

Useless restaurant!! Cant even use a card that isnt registered to the delivery address. So a friend cant pay for take away if there are staying at your place!! Waste of time. DONT USE!!!!

Very good food and properly sized portions

So.. ordered a delivery from here last night 20/08/18, crispy aromatic duck, egg fried rice, Singapore style noodles, chips and curry sauce. Duck itself was edible but not shredded like I asked and hoi sin sauce was missing, egg fried rice seemed under cooked and very gloopy no egg that I could see nor spring onions or peas, Singapore noodles were bland and watery and tasteless, I ve honestly tasted better in a pot noodle! Curry sauce had thick skin on it and chips were soggy and oily. It amazes me that these places are still in business! Not a single Chinese restaurant in Medway towns seems to want repeat customers, I will never go back here, if anyone knows a restaurant which is constantly good please let me know! Ps for afters we ordered toffee banana which went straight in the bin after opening the lid! James smith, Chatham, Kent

Beautiful food, very friendly, helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. No need to book, you can usually walk in and get a table. They also offer a take-away service.

Ordered from here from my regular Chinese which is Kung fu in Gillingham high street just off the cuff to try something different. Mixed orduerves. Ribs. Tasteless. Pancake rolls. Tasteless. Chicken chow mein cooked with peas. Never had that before. Gross. So disappointed. On top of that took 1 hour and ten minutes to deliver garbage of which I threw most in the bin. Terrible place. Would never recommend. Should have stuck with Kung fu. God knows what made me try a different place. My advice. Stick to what you know best. Just don t bother with jade garden.
