Red Sun Chinese Takeaway in Chatham

Ordered through Just eat and the place I normally use was closed, so used these and half my order was missing and it looks like something my dog has produced and when I phoned the women wasnt interested and said just sort it out with just eat.

I have been using Red Sun for probably 10+ years and I have no complaints. Order is always correct with prompt delivery. Their food always tastes good.

Order over £80 of food. Waited 90 mins for food, ordered via JustEat, was told food was in its way. Waited 30 minutes, rang to see where it was only to be told that it hadn t left, and was ready. It had been there 10-15 minutes and would take another 10-15 minutes to arrive, it was because they had a lot of orders . ?!

This is a brilliant chinese takeaway, the drivers are fast and orderly, and the food here is always hot and tasty

First time using Red Sun. Item missing from my order and the food that did arrive is generally tasteless, the BBC sauce in the ribs tastes like weak gravy, even the sweet and sour sauce is bland. Quick delivery time, but still waiting for the missing item to be delivered so actually we have been waiting an hour and a half to eat. Such a shame.

We love to try new Chinese takeaways, our one from this place today was by far the best weve had in years. Good portion size, great price and will 100% be using again.

This takeaway as been a big part of chatham I have enjoyed visiting as I travel throw last 10 years. I think its one of the best in medway its great value for money and very fact pick up and delivery times, food and sources are perfect also I believe its family run as its always nice to see a familiar face very clean service 2022

Worst Chinese in Gillingham! The young man on the phone is absolutely CLUELESS! Why does the food taste like they use Indian seasoning? All I can taste is curry powder! Wasted £23 gave it to my dogs!!!

What a shame delivery is poor... it was over an hour late and lukewarm!! Such a pity as it did taste pretty good. Spoilt our evening and when we did chase up the restaurant for updates they didn t seem at all fussed. I would say go elsewhere as I ve had better.

Nearly didn t order after reading the reviews but the food arrived very quickly, and was very tasty but unfortunately most of it was cold. This has not put me off ordering again to give a it second chance.

Ordered today from Deliveroo and it arrived very promptly for a Friday night! Seems like most people who have delivery issues order from uber eats! Food was pretty good for a local Chinese takeout not too greasy, full of flavour and we had no issues with out order! Will definitely be ordering again!

Ordered here on Wednesday 21st july, through the just eat app, order was confirmed and listed as driver on their way, waited 45mins tried to call the restaurant, no answer, tried again still no answer, 1 hour passes and still no food still no answer on the phone, first time trying to order here, definately will not be trying again, got a refund from just eat for the food but not for the delivery. waste of time!!

Our food delivery was over an hour late. When calling the restaurant they explained the food had left a while ago. Unfortunately this meant the food was cold and inedible. The driver did not speak English which made conversation extremely difficult. I am extremely unhappy with the service. Looking at the reviews of this Chinese restaurant, I can see I am not the only one who had been waiting such a long time.

Its a shame both times ordered from this place and both times I have had to travel back down there for them to correct my order. I enquired for some sort of compensation and was offered another bag of prawn crackers which I dont touch anyway, but it was only a stressful conversation and me walking back to the takeaway to confirm my order was wrong that she offered me a generous 10 percent off my next order which I believe is a mile seeing as they fight you for that inch. Ohh and also if you spend the required amount for free wings make sure you confirm that with them otherwise you will be without nice family night ruined Thankyou red sun

I have been using this takeaway for a while and last night I was disgusted with the customer experience. I ordered rice noodles with no veg! As my wife has allergies to onion and does not like bean sprouts the order I went to collect at 11.30 with the rest of my order to arrive home to find the notes left was not read I called only to be told we will sort this out next time I said this is no good as they said that they was closed but when I was waiting for my food the lady was on the phone taking a order it was the restaurants fault you would think they would fix instead I had to get a refund that I had to argue for.

Been eating here for over 35 years, never had a bad meal, very occasionally there is a mix up with the order, but they always make it right. I always collect, as most of the problems seem to be delivery related

Ordered tonight from Uber eats, rung 3 times as food was nearly 2 hrs late, finally got cold wrong food, took 20 minutes to get them on phone only to be told they couldn t refund me for inedible food, disgusting, will be reporting to food hygiene.

Worst place. Ordered at 7pm still no delivery by 9pm phoned. Was told good wasn t even cooked and would not be with us until after 10pm. Absolute joke.

Ordered via Just eat. The restaurant marked my order as delivered when it didnt even arrive. When I finally got through to them 4 hours later they admitted that my order hadnt even been prepared. Absolute JOKE! !!!!!!Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Pre ordered via just eat at 4pm for delivery at 8, delivery time kept getting pushed back eventually by 2 hours, then at after 10pm tje order was cancelled bu the restaurant, the phone was taken off the hook constantly engaged. Terrible service will never use again.

Order satay chicken, plain chow mein, curry sauce.. didnt get the curry sauce but paid like 3 quid for it

Uncooked food, the meat was bright red inside and slimy looking inside the curry sauce tasted like it was mixed with sweet and sour sauce

For the love of God! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE... I ordered through Uber eats, literally ordered one thing... duck and pancake... After missing the delivery time, and after several attempts of calling them i got though, to which they said they had not even begun preparing my food... the ONE item i ordered

Ordered through Uber Eats at 6.30pm. Didnt arrive until 8.45pm. I called constantly but only got through once at 7.40pm. I was told that the delivery had just left. It was an hour later when it arrived. Freezing cold food. Will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered food from here which turnt up cold, forgot the chicken balls that we ordered when we called they said we had to pay extra even though we had already paid for them. Half hour to send some out by that time our food was stone cold no apology, never again.

Food arrived over 30mins late, had leaked in bag and they had sent an incorrect dish. No apology, just extremely RUDE and OBNOXIOUS staff. Will never order from here again. Also food wasnt nice. AVOID!!!!

Absolutely terrible service, ordered and waited an hour and 40 minutes so I walked up our private lane to see if we could see the delivery driver... to our surprise he was sat there in the car and when I approached him he informed me our delivery was mixed up with someone elses and he had already been sitting there 10 minutes. I then told him it wasnt any trouble and we would just go back and wait for the correct food... another 45 minutes pass so I rang up the restaurant, they told me it is on route. Our food finally arrives another 25 minutes later, we walk up the lane and collect and go back home to dish up, to find they have given us a PRAWN choimain instead of CHICKEN.. I am pregnant so cannot eat prawns/seafood. I rang the restaurant back up and was so polite to then be told there is nothing they can do except give us a chicken choimain on our NEXT order!! I tell the woman on the phone that I am pregnant (hence cannot eat Prawns)and the Chicken choimain was the main part of my meal (out of the whole chinease I only had Chicken balls, rice and what was meant to be my chicken choimain so my whole dinner was just chicken balls and rice because they messed it up) I then asked for a refund as my food wasnt what I ordered, it was cold and I had already waited nearly 3 hours for the food in the first place and it was so late by this point that I was going to bed and couldnt eat the food even if i wanted to and it was correct, I then got shouted at by a man who I presume is the chef/owner and the lady ended up hanging the phone up on me. I have never been so gobsmacked at the lack of customer service that I unfortunately had to experience that night. Never again will i order from this place, and I encourage others to stay clear unless you want to help these greedy people profit from customers they do not give two micks about!!

Food quality could improve, but you get what you pay for

Ordered our meal witch we had before but when we got home it wasnt what was ordered!!, when I phoned them to say about it the response was you didnt ask word for word what you wanted...lol ... I have learnt my lesson.. just use the numbers!!! £30 wasted.

Ordered via Uber Eats: Order arrived with the restaurants driver an hour late and stone cold. When calling the restaurant they didn t want to help. Advised me to contact Uber as it s their issue. You should of checked it was hot while the driver was there so I offered for them to send their driver back as he d only just left and I d give them the food back. They refused. All in all poor service and cold food.

Absolutely discussing delivery behaviour I have ever witnessed not only was the food over half and hour late but the driver was aggressive when confronted about how long he took to deliver not only that him and his mate stunk of weed. When we called the takeaway to complain we were fobbed off and we not offered anything to keep our custom. Will NEVER order from this establishment again due to the rude disgraceful service and behaviour

Fastest cooking Chinese in Kent. Takes card and contact-less payment. Does deliver but for locals its quicker to collect.

Disgusting service & attitude our food was over 1/2 and hour late, half the order was missing so I rang and they were going to deliver the missing food in 10 -15 minute, half hour later still food do rang again to be told he delivered to a different door number??? Told to get go it from the house!!! Stinking service. So disappointed as we ve being using them for about 6yrs.

worst chicken curry we have ever had and not interested in helping because we put it in the bin. so if you want a half warm tasteless chicken curry this is the place to go. I would rather put my balls in a vice than go there again so dont waste your hard earned money when there is better food in your dog bowl.

Food is usually very good and cooked very quickly. Order from here on a weekly basis, never had a single problem or complaint.

Called for an order on 1st of July, 1st the wrong dish was delivered, when we called we were told we had to pay a difference to other dish we actually wanted, completely fine with this and obliged. However when the delivery boy returned he was completely rude to us, once we opened the door he simply answered money...and food not even an apology, or a hello. We will never be using here again, by the time wed waited for our dish to come back most of our food was cold and unenjoyable!
