Lovely tapas on a sunday

What is Albondigas? Raw, stale bread, legs with cheese and reheated meat... it was a delivery, a piece of garbage food. They dont give you your money back.

Been to a couple of cabaret and burlesque nights here and its fantastic. Talented house performers and always a rowdy time. Space is limited so booking is recommended. Drinks are good especially as they often have 2 for £12 offers on cocktails and they are made fresh by the friendly bar staff. They also host regular music gigs and open mic nights showcasing local bands and artists. A great atmosphere and night out.

We ordered in, this included muchos nachos, severely overpriced item. £9 with dips but not many nachos. Dont waste your money, do a fakeaway for those. Vegetarian options: A reasonable selection of vegetarian dishes.

We went for my Sons birthday. Food was amazing! Very very tasty. Pricing was fab for the food you get. There was a large group of us and the food coming out was sadly very slow. I had eaten my wrap and my fries had come out 20 minutes after. Same as most of the group sadly.Some of the group was waiting along time for there food still when others had finished. Staff were lovely but maybe a big group was to much all at once. That was the only let down.

Went in for a few of drinks when we had nearly finished our first round one of the staff came over and told us wed have to move from the table as it was reserved when clearly it wasnt and the staff member didnt have any customer service skills, not even a sorry guys could I have the table for someone that wants to eat just a your have to move as its reserved when we had already been sitting there for 20min, will not be going there again and will not be recommending

Love the atmosphere here but the food (I had tapas) wasnt anything to rave about....prawns were chewy, calamari was like endlessly chewing chunks of rubber, the Spanish omelette was a far cry from the traditional Spanish omelette; dry and crumbling...the only dish that wasnt disappointing was the chorizo in red wine & honey. Cocktails were delicious Shame about the downturn in music quality mid lunch....soon sent us scurrying, but then, each to their own lol

Excellent place a little treasure in Chatham

Looking at the other reviews, it might have been a one off, but the experience last night was just average. Having read the other reviews, I was expecting quite a feast, but the reality was a bit underwhelming. First, while the restaurant was close to empty, we waited for almost an hour for our food with the staff keeping coming to tell us that things were sold out during that hour, asking us to change our initial orders. The food was fine but very salty. Sadly, nothing really spectacular. The thing which is absolutely not great is the hygiene level of the restaurant. Tables were sticky. In addition, we got spoons for our churros (a mystery why ) and one was incredibly dirty full of a crust of dried food.

Was charged for an item that was not available and was advised to claim via Just Eat for a refund as they forgot to refund me back. Tried to claim back via Just Eat but doesnt allow me to and the restaurant was no help at all. First and last time Ill be order with this restaurant, disappointing service!

Having only been in the evening I can say that this place has very welcoming staff and customers with live music and a great atmosphere. More places like this need to exist to keep local music alive.

A bizarre mix of tapas and live music, visited for a charity music event. Beer/spirits were cheap, and so were the cocktails. Music was brilliant, with a small stage area at the back of the bar. Will definitely be visiting again Service : 5/5 |

Love the service and atmosphere at this place

The service was a 5/5, the ladies that served us were very nice and very attentive. However, environment was very off. The table was sticky, the seats were covered with a scent that completely threw us off - besides that, a very LOUD young lady was at the back pretty much screaming all the time. Not the restaurants fault but it was mentioned to her if she could please quiet down so we could enjoy our meal. In regards to food? 1/5. We waited 20m for the first plate of food. My partner got chicken wings, overcooked and with still some feathers sticking out of it. Unpleasant. I got the halloumi sticks, the only great thing I had here! I had to take my beef chilli home because it took almost 40 minutes to get it back to me. Overall, would come back if a couple things were put into consideration. For the servers? Definitely! Nicest ladies ever!

Its OK but not the cheapest

Fun place. Just a bit small for loud live band but thats been the case since the 70s . Nice for a night out with atmosphere and the bar is average prices. Staff very friendly. Check it out Parking: On street limited, pay at meter. Nearby pay at meter car parks. Nearest in the Sun Pier (very small) or St.Johns access from Military Road

Came here for dinner and tried quite a few dishes. We loved the croquetas - the mushroom ones were especially good! The calamari was top notch. The patatas bravas was nice and crispy but the sauce was almost too spicy to eat. Tacos were good but the chicken wings were very very average. Over all it was pretty good!

Just went for drinks but atmosphere is amazing. Rock/alternative music playing with a modern juke box to queue up songs you like. Small inside at bar side but that makes it better somehow. Lovely staff too. Will 100% be returning.

Unfriendly and judgemental atmosphere. Regulars and what seem to be owners sit between bar and front window watching every entry with bombastic side eye. You ll get service after the unkept bartenders finish their second rendition of love shack. Grimy and forgotten toilets reminiscent of festival facilities. £10 for a burrito at this point if you ve bothered to endure all of the above. Potentially a nice place if not for the egos and attitudes of staff. Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access. Potential fire hazards.

Visited for a bottomless brunch. Food tasted absolutely incredible and drinks were brilliant too. My only down mark is that you only get 2 choices from the tapas menu (used to be 3) so couldnt get a lot of variety and portions are small as its tapas. Ordered a takeaway for the first time tonight for my sons birthday. The food was absolutely fantastic! Really tasty and fresh ingredients. The lady I spoke to on the telephone was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend and order from here again in the future.

We went there early in the evening on a weekday and hence there was not much of a rush. Friendly service, good food, good selection of cocktails, Sangria and Spanish food. Will definitely visit again.

Lively place, good selection of cocktails and tapas

Lovely food and a lively place will be back soon. We had lvoley food but did have a long wait for food unfortunately, and this was after being asked for our table to be delayed by 30mins to allow the kitchen to space out( a thing we were glad for in the long run) we wouldnt of been to bothered by the time by part of the table had to get a train so made us more time sensitive, they got their train with 5mins to spare thankfully. But the food was lovely I would highly recommend the chorizo in wine sauce, garlic mushrooms, patato bravas. Actually everything was lovely I thinks any food you have you will be amazed with.

I can only say the staff were friendly and drinks were fairly priced. Nice small intermate venue to see some great bands at a good price. I cant comment on food as I didnt have any. However, I do plan on going back in the future to try the Mexican food. Service

What a lovely little place we came across. Rough round the edges but we love a bit of that, dont we? Great food, if you like Mexican and awesome, friendly banter from staff. Seems to be a really close-knit group of locals present for the Kimbofest punk day, which added to the already family-like atmosphere. We had a great time.

Had food delivered. Very quick delivery, food still warm, neatly packed and tasted fantastic! I live higham about 3/4 miles away but often walk past and looks good inside so will definitely come in for food and drink soon.

Food was great but service was very poor until the owner realised we hadnt been looked after by the regular staff.

Had an amazing time, which is not something people usually say in Chatham . In all seriousness, the staff are really friendly and attentive. The cocktails were amazing. I underestimated how much was in the jugs. Food was to a high standard and everything on the menu, including drinks is very reasonably priced. Even the interior decor was really cool. Overall I highly recommend going to Poco Loco. Its the only reason Ill ever return to Chatham.

We went here last minute after another restaurant we went too was fully book, and they got us booked in really friendly telephone service and when we walk it we were pleasantly surprised, great atmosphere friendly staff and an over all positive feeling. On a Saturday night it was busy but the wait for food was not unreasonable, we left very full and happy 5* would definitely recommend.

Lovely little spot. Feels like an underground discovery. You can go there in a ball-gown or your pjs! The owners are beautiful souls who have created such a welcoming atmosphere. Not been here for a while as I dont get out much but always used to love coming to see local bands play. Just a nice little venue on the outskirts of town and easy to get to from either Chatham or (if you want to avoid getting mugged) Rochester station.

Went too poke my head in to poco loco late Saturday evening and the bouncer was so friendly and super nice that we were instantly welcomed in, music was good by djs and the apall cider was delicious but come on, £7 for a half, its not London prices and you can get a bottle for £2. Will return but be cautious about how much other drinks are, yet to try the food but will do soon! Follow up after the owners comment, I called and spoke to a manager on the phone, cant remember her name but she was absolutely amazing at sorting this issue out, we returned for a band night, and had a absolutely fabulous night, especially with your bouncer Stuart who is extremely good at his job, very welcoming. We did return for food, I ordered vegan fajitas and the chef brought the food to our table and asked if the fajitas were OK which they were absolutely delicious Waitresses were very friendly. Keep up the good work poco loco we are returning!

Little gem in Chatham ! Just went for a meal tonight with our toddler and the food was out of this world! Cannot fault the service either. Everything was perfect! Great setting, great food (flavour, size, choice), delicious drinks and great atmosphere. Will definitely come back to spend an evening out!

The food portions were huge, first of all. Food quality is great, things are obviously cooked fresh which is really refreshing. Cocktails were amazing, absolutely spot on blended every time. Service was wonderful, staff were always happy and friendly and couldnt do enough. The value for money is off the chain, two cocktails for 12 quid is unbelievable, and a good dinner can be had for well under fifteen pounds a head. In this day and age this is unheard of. A great place.

Great place!

My wife and I came across this place while visiting the area. We like Mexican food so thought wed give this place a try and we were immediately welcomed by the person behind the bar, who was aptly dressed in a cool themed t-shirt! After being offered a seat we were told of the special lunch menu, 3 tapas for £12. Both my wife and I chose our dishes and shortly after they arrived. My goodness the food was delicious! Very decent portion sizes too, we were definitely full after scoffing down the various dishes. Everything was just great, the theme of the restaurant, the staff, the food, all brilliant! It was very quiet when we visited, hopefully this was just because it was a weekday afternoon and that usually its bustling because it certainly deserves to be!

Spent Medway Pride with Poco Loco and it was the best experience I ve had hands down! The environment was electric and I felt extremely safe with the kind staff and amazing management from Jody and Janice! Definitely will be back again!

First off the food was incredible. So so tasty and fresh tasting. The BEST nachos weve ever had and the tacos were delicious. Based on food alone would have been 5 stars. We will be back for the food alone. However, there was a lot to be desired regarding the service. When we arrived the table was very sticky and there was grass on it and we had to ask for it to be wiped down. Drinks took a long time to arrive bearing in mind there were only 2 tables in that evening. The fajitas came out with no plate and we had to ask for one but by the time we got it the food was lukewarm. Finally it would have been good to know that the kitchen closed at 9 when we arrived at 8pm rather than when we went to order dessert at 9 and were told the kitchen was closed and the chef had gone home! As I said the food was so good we would come back and hopefully the poor service was a one off, but it really wasnt good. Im afraid if we experienced the same again we wouldnt return.

Pint on street, would not eat there as looks tired and passed it several times and no one eating there. They do have bands and night stuff there, better places to eat. Just read owners comment, lol. You can tell the chathamite attitude, viz her opinion (trying to out rank you... desperate). Even if they are still open that I would hope, its not worth it for food. The venue to eat is a bit like a bohemian squat in Brighton, not very clean and cheap. Under staffed (probably not needed), dope smoked in Garden (thats free).

The good points were staff were friendly attenentive and the food was good and big portions. The bad points was we were given a much larger bill just as well I checked when I told her, she told me its the till and not her lol. Check the bill before you give it out and dont try to pass responsibility to a till lol. The toliet lid falls down on top of you when you sit down!

Had a wonderful night there. Staff were lovely and went out of their way to help you have a great experience.
