I recently visited the Prince of Wales and was extremely disappointed. The new owners have managed to make the place worse than it was before. The manager is downright rude, even telling patrons to "find another pub" if they're not happy. The toilets were filthy and had a terrible smell. To top it off, they switched off the football for karaoke on a Sunday afternoon-completely ruining the atmosphere. Drinks are overpriced too. I won't be returning.
We had a ok time, but waited over an 1 hour for food only 2 members of staff working it wasn’t that busy.. seem like our food was waiting in the lift a little while as the hot wasn’t hot! Also the cod looked like a big fish finger. When I have come here before the cod was bigger
Very clean pud with many choices of beer and lagers. There is also a very good menu with choice’s. Mixed Grill £9.99 it has Rump Steak and Gammon Steak with Chicken Breast and Cumberland sausage with fried egg and Chips and peas. 😂 Also very good for watching sports.
Travelling for work so did not know the area and this place came up on Google and was a 2 min walk from my hotel. I came here for my evening meal, I order a pint of Stella and a mixed grill. When the lady at the bar said the total I thought o God let's see how this is... the price was what I found to be was very cheap £13.29 for both the food and drink #bargin. Food came promptly and was of a good portion. The steak was cooked to how I asked and the rest of the food was lovely, I was surprised given the cost. The only reason I did not give full marks lol was I could of done with more mayo and I am sure if I'd of asked I would of been given some and the peas just slightly hard, others will love them like that. Would I eat here again ?? Yes, most definitely.
Was okay. The bartender who served us our drinks and food was friendly, they had a few vegan options but it wasn't the best. The vegan Shepard pie was nice but the pie and nuggets we're hard. My boyfriend struggled to cut through the pie crust that much that the table was shaking from having to dig in and carve it. I don't know if they were a bit overcooked or hadn't been defrosted properly, but they were a struggle for the people I was with to eat. I've been asked to also add that the nuggets came with sauce and veg already on it and was suggested that those be served separately instead. One of our party members doesn't like sauce so wasn't very pleased to have it over their food. Some people are picky eaters and others can't eat certain foods/condiments. The food looked good and was well presented, though. Also, the vegan apple pie and custard was lovely and well enjoyed.
Food was good .cheap beers . sports on telly . Felt comfortable. Will visit again .

Went in after eating in chatham on a work do. Probably no more than 30 people in there. Asked for some music to be put on but got told they had paid for boxing to be on, only witnessed 2 people watching it .
Well as you walk in your hit with a stank of old man, im a man myself but most men that drink here either have pissed themselves or havent washed in a very long time, smell of stale beer in certain parts of the pub, but on the upside nice garden area with booths with televisons on the walls makes a good viewing spot for sports.

Just a great pub! Friendly atmosphere and many a good night had. Great team working relentless to the late hours in Chloe (serves a mean pint!), Ashley (always free for a chinwag), Lisa, Kat, Laura and the quiet one (apologies name never known), good friendly atmosphere. Lovely food in a very family friendly pub.Definitely worth a visit or several. Also worth keeping an eye out for quizzes and events

Every time we have been here for food and drink it has a brilliant atmosphere, polite staff and excellent food.
Visited The Prince of Wales today, had a very tasty all day breakfast which my Dad I enjoyed immensely. Dad had a pint and I had a soft drink and we enjoyed having a catch up.

Starter ok, main course of mash, sausages wrapped in bacon - Christmas menu. The mash was solid, the gravy cold and congealed snd peas cold. Just inedible! My husbands meal was worse! !
They had a great DJ upstairs, great tunes. Had such a laugh & dance with my work mates for the 2nd half of our department Xmas do...Staff friendly. Didnt have food there as previously had a meal out. Drinks only.. Service

Went to Prince of wales Chatham to watch the football 16:30 on Sunday 2nd January however one man ruined our evening he was loud drunk & swearing & staff didn t respond, ordered food & drink from our table on the app food arrived no drink had to chase it up visited the bar & no tea or coffee available & I was short changed it was a mistake quickly rectified, not sure if I will return although picture quality & sound was good on the television.

Went there on sunday , ordered a drink via there app , took my money and didnt place order , spoke to some lady that works there , might aswell said im a liar , showed her it took money and told her the order , she checked and came back said theres no order , re mentioned money was taken and asked if i cant just get it seeing as i paid , instead of helping and suggesting what i do or even the slightest shred of caring , she went inside and to the bar and didnt come back but came out to the cellar on odd occasion . Am going through there app for a refund either way its shocking how she acts ( oldish lady with blonde hair , never looked happy to be there )

Great selection of draught ales (theres 7 taps, 6 have guest ales), ciders (Ive yet to dive into those but they change too), plus your pub favourite lagers. The staff are so kind and friendly, and all ales costs £1.75 Monday - Thursday. Unheard of. Im in love.

Popped in for a night cap after an evening out with friends, quite quiet. Staff friendly.
What a breath of freshair to find a pub like this close to town. Food was really good and on top of that the cask ales were only £1.75 each! I was over from Cape Town and did not expect this, we used the place on a regular basis while i was there and got all my mates down there too. Am coming back to UK next year and it will be on my list again.

It gets busy at times and Im not to good at noisy pubs these days but its a nice pub. Most are friendly but like all pubs there are some fights outside!! But what pub doesnt get fights outside it?

Abysmal...worst customer service ive ever experienced frankly..my partner and I had to turn round and leave lunchtime today due to the manner of the girl passive aggresively conducting the track and trace.Luckily there is a massive spoons about 20ft away where the staff are super friendly and accommodating..so go id go there personally...always been a big supporter of the underdog..but when that dog wants to bite ya baws off best to give it a wide birth
