Tiger Moth in Chatham

I had booked for a table of 9, arrived to find only table for 8 set so had to squeeze in on the end. upon booking I had selected Xmas menu as this was our staff Xmas do. again upon arrival I was informed I should of rang them to confirm this and pre-ordered. No where does it say anything I have to phone to confirm Xmas dinner and pre-order. so no Xmas menu was available. Ordered from normal menu to be told it was up to an hour wait. After 55 mins a lady come over to apologise it would still be another half hour. the food was ok when we eventually got it. Parking: on site parking.

Really disappointing experience, slow service (but not the wait staffs fault), drinks not full in small glasses as well as large. Black halloumi fries (we did get a refund but whether that materialises or not it another thing... looking at you Greene King Nags head Derby...).

Great vibrant pub, we hadnt booked a table but they were able to fit us in, which was really good. Service was quick and efficient, didnt wait long to be served or get our food, which was lovely & piping hot, and very tasty. Parking: If you park in their car park do not forget to register the cars registration number otherwise you will b charged

Great welcoming feel when I went in, few christmas dinners going on it seemed which added to a great atmosphere. Staff very welcoming and accomodating as usual, they are particularly great when I go in with my puppy. Had a burger on the buy one get one free deal, which was tasty and great value. Stayed for a few hours watching the sport and all in all a great experience, it is no suprise the place is often busy! Parking: Free as long as you put your reg in on the door

More of a pub feel then restaurant food was not up to standards wrong dish came out twice and chips were cold and over cooked and onion rings were store brought

Our first visit and will not be returning. The lady behind the bar was unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome. The food was overcooked. The lady delivering the food was very nice though. The general appearance of the area we were asked to sit in was shabby with wallpaper hanging off the wall .

This pub is our go to pub, even though it s not our local!! We tend to visit at least once a week, we have no set day but it s usually after work for dinner. We have NEVER had a bad experience and over the years, we have got to know the staff pretty well. They work under enormous pressure most of the time, the pub is very busy, but they are calm and extremely friendly. We don t know all of them by name, but Adam, Aly, Caitlin and Jay are exceptional. The food and portions provided represent good value for money and the atmosphere is spot on. The Tiger Moth is a proper pub and caters for every type of person. Sometimes it s loud, but we re happy with loud it means that people are enjoying themselves and that s what we go to the pub for, to eat, wind down and enjoy the time spent there.

Selection of beers was very poor unless you want terrible lager

Spur of the moment visit a hidden gem hot sauce was hot which made a nice change hotter the better for me had gammon was cooked nice with onions was lovely and the wife enjoyed her Halloumi fries and Fish and chips will come again thanks service was great used Green King app from the table top notch

We are Always met by someone with a huge welcoming smile. Never had any problems with either our meals or service. Our latest booking was yesterday 27th September 2024 for a birthday meal for my Husband and the Husband of very good friends and when I asked for desserts with candles if possible - because they didnt have any, they wrote Happy Birthday on the plates instead.. which was a lovely touch. They do go out of their way to make sure your visit is as good as possible. Definitely recommend this pub but more importantly, definitely recommend the Staff in this pub. Thank you to you all. Went to this pub with friends. All ordered food using the app which was easy to use, drinks came straight away from a friendly member of staff. Food wasnt too much longer. Chicken burgers were lovely and tasty. Ordered drinks again on the app and waited around 15mins and asked a member of staff she checked where they was and the ticket hadnt been received, she was really apologetic and drinks then came straight away and again a really apologetic member of staff brought them over. We had a lovely eve made even better by smiley friendly staff which makes such a difference to an establishment. Thank you

We visited the Tiger moth this afternoon for lunch, service with a smile by Joyce, 2 Classic meals for under £14, I had the steak & Ale pie, mash peas gravy, and my partner had Hunters chicken peas, both meals were piping hot & very tasty, we would definitely recommend coming here and we shall return very soon, well done to all the staff

Ordered and paid for 3 meals only to be told that the beef rib had ran out which was the main element of the meat sharer. I was happy to substitute it full a full rack of ribs instead of a half rack but was told it could not be done because it would mess with the stock levels . At this point I asked for a refund on all 3 meals which was given, although I still find it hard to believe any business would send 3 customers out the door rather than substitute an item (for one of lesser value) especially as it was their mistake and the customer had already paid. I would suggest whoever was worried about the stock levels should be more worried about their lack business acumen and poor customer service.

I turned up very late, but everyone was more than happy to accommodate me. Im a Service Engineer, and have to stay overnight to complete a job. I ordered a couple of drinks and a meal, and sat down to enjoy the break. The Starter arrived, and it was exactly what I needed. Chicken wings in a Carolina Sauce are not for the faint hearted, but they hit the spot. It was good to see them on the menu, but also good to see that they werent a faint imitation of a very hot sauce. This was followed by a Medium rare Steak that was absolutely as it should be. It came with just the right number of extras. All staff members were extremely friendly and polite. I was asked a couple of times if there was anything else that I needed. I dont stay over in Maidstone very often, but Ill be making sure that I pop over in the evenings when I do. Many thanks to everyone in the kitchen, and behind the bar for making the end of a very long day so enjoyable.

We booked for 6 and the table was ready when we got there. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was great, nothing was too much hassle. We will definitely be back xx Kid-friendliness: They gave us an activity page and crayons for the kids and amended the meals as necessary as my kids are a little picky.

Yesterday had a wonderful meal with my family, the food is amazing, and the staff are outstanding and very helpful. I highly recommend the ribs, full rack of cause the meat just falls off. . What always lets this pub down is the appalling language that comes from the bar area. I feel it should either be a pub or a restaurant but definitely not both or section the bar and restaurant areas off. Was not pleasant!!

What a disappointment. Ordered food on the new app for table service in a group. Food took a good while to come out. After nearly an hour of waiting for mine and everyone else in our group had eaten I went to the bar to query what was going on. I had an instant notification of payment through PayPal, but no receipt from greenking. The first girl didnt know what to do, and called another over. To be told there was nothing they could do. All I could do is reorder with a 40 minutes wait on food. So I have paid via PayPal for nothing, and all I got was im sorry which wasnt really genuine. Ruined a nice meal out with friends.

If you like a chavvy, dirty environment then Tiger Moth is your place. Needs a good old clean, thick dust next to your cutlery, sticky tables and glasses. Toilets are fifty. Chicken steaks was so dry they were rock hard. Drinks are only 3/4 full when they arrive. Food

Excellent staff and food

Just popped in for a bit of lunch with a date, service from Jodie and Saff was great, really lovely and prompt food. Pub environment very clean, well-maintained, and food was really nice! She had a steak flatbread, chips and halloumi fries, I had the kofta flatbread and we shared the sides! A really great afternoon was spent, great service, great food, and we both had a lovely time and will be back!

My family and I have dined here many, many times over the years, we keep coming back because the food is very good and the service has always been great. Although the staff have changed over time, the friendliness and excellent service has remained consistent. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team and they work very hard to ensure we always have an enjoyable experience. The food is always good, the quality is high and all for exceptionally reasonable prices. We will continue to enjoy eating at The Tiger Moth for many more years to come.

We started coming to the Tiged Moth over a year ago as a table of 6 for the quiz on a Thursday night. Always enjoyed the food and atmosphere and able to book no problem. However, recently we havent been able to book a table for the quiz, as we were told no bookings more than a month in advance and use Facebook to do so. Did this for this month and got confirmation that we had a booking. Yesterday we got a call cancelling our table of 6 as theres only 1 table of 6 and the same group always have it and we dont want to annoy them. After a lot of complaining they managed to fit us in. After the quiz tonight we asked again about booking in only to be told that because the regular table spends more money than us they Will always get the table. We were also told we werent the only group that were annoyed about this!! So we Will no longer be giving the TM our business, as its clear they prioritise profit over service!

Went in today with my party of residents for lunch. We was served by jodyanne. She was so helpful and patient and made sure my residents (some in wheelchairs) where comftable with enough space. She couldnt do enough for us and it made the occasion an easier experience for all. We shall definitely be returning and we hope to see jody again. Her customer approach was fantastic and nothing was too much, thank you

Not from around this area but where I m from there isn t a single pub with a pay and display parking. Ran in for a quick bite to eat didn t even realise you had to pay for parking as this isn t normal I didn t think to check and I was in a huge rush, was only there for 25 minutes and received a £100 parking fine

We went for a family meal but didn t end up eating. Service was slow just to get a drink, the decor is tired and worn and the toilets are filthy. Feaces all around the seat in the mens and the woman s toilet seat looked like it hadn t been cleaned properly since it was fitted! Thought this could be our new local but disappointingly not, staff are friendly though!

The place looks nice and although we just had drinks the food looked good, only one person behind bar for while which was annoying. The toilets though need to be invested in as cubicles you cant even lock as wood broken and been like that for ages, they look old and tired and need a proper revamp. Toilets score 1 out of 10.

Not a good place to go for a pub meal as all the tables have reserved on them (more than half of them) you have to look for staff when you find someone, NOT VERY polite saying no table available. Needs a sign or a member of staff at the door (Like some other Greene Kings) making it clear so you do not walk round the pub also wasting your time put in your car registration. This is not the first time for myself & I know so not a good local pub to go to.

Found the steak OK, hubby and son had steak and ale pie, found pie on the hard side.

This is our local and have eaten here a few times. The roast is always value for money, any thing left on the plates and they are more than happy to provide a doggy bag. Wait time wasnt too bad, we had a big party of 10, and we all had our food at the same time.

We visited on Sunday my mother is disabled using a walking stick and on oxygen. I received a call to check on the table we was being allocated which we were very grateful for. On arrival a gentleman member of staff, Adam, went straight over to my mum welcomed her and guided her to her chair and made sure she was comfortable even changing the type of chair she had. My mum was full of praise for him. The meal was extremely enjoyable and all the staff were lovely. I cannot thank you enough for the assistance my mum received, we will very much visit again as we very much enjoyed our visit.

POOR SERVICE !!! . Pub was empty but had to wait long before some one bothered to take drink orders. All tables in the pub booked for a quiz night which was happening later in the evening , no place to sit . Felt very unwelcoming. I decided to go to KFC across the road for dinner. Never going back to this place again.

Come here every Thursday for the quiz and the atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff are amazing and the food is great quality. Definitely recommend booking a table and visiting.

Great place, if you want good food an a good friendly service. This is the place for you. Staff are great, very friendly, and have good sense of humour. The only negative thing I could mention was that the service at the bar was quite slow due to only 1 person working. Nice enough, but the sound for the quiz is awful. Way to many highs making the sound brittle and fatiguing on the ears, and not enough mids to be able to understand whats being said. Id love to tweak the mixer! Service is friendly.

The new Christmas Menu is exciting and I can highly recommend the Flame Grilled Beef and Camemb.ert Burger which was duly demolished this lunchtime. Hopefully the new booking system will streamline and cut waiting times. Give it a try...

Lots of vegetarian choices, the spicy Christmas Mac and cheese was delicious, highly recommend. Manager was really lovely, helpful and sorted out a small problem with my order quickly and efficiently. Will definitely be back.
