The only real issue I had with Atmosphere was the music was quite loud which made it difficult to have conversations but everything else was fantastic Parking: Dockside car park so lots of places to park

The service and waiting time for food was poor, however our server Sanad provided an excellent service. He spent time with the table and had good conversation and humour.

Sat at our table at 8pm and by 8.55 not even a nibble of Turkish bread had arrived at our table To top it all the tribute artist had no presence at all , and very little talent We left , and went elsewhere for food A total waste of money

Inedible food, smell of burned oil as soon as you walk in. My moussaka looked like it was dropped few times before it was served. My mums did not taste of anything and she could not eat it, but I still had to pay for it, they did not offer refunds . chewy ribs salad and bread was nice . Vegetarian options: Not many and the ones which did not contain meat were halumi meals, and they said they run out of it . Dietary restrictions: Even chips are coated in some milk powder which was risky for egg, milk intolerance

Was walking to creams with my 87 year old grandma and she was feeling tired and couldn t walk further. Owner of babasheesh came out and told us to sit down, got a new bottle of a water and looked after my us even though we weren t going in the restaurant. That just shows how good these owners are. I dine here in the evenings once or twice a week, usually after a days sailing from the adjacent marina. Staff are brilliant and always welcoming, pleasant and genuinely eager to please. The mangeress is kind, delightful and always eager to be welcoming and be friendly. The food is always excellent, reasonably priced and well presented. I would definitely recommend this resturant. Ps. The sunsets from the fully glazed window walls are amazing.

I visited babasheesh this week and dined with a work colleague we had a great time . The restaurant had a really good buzz and it was busy . I tried one of the new cocktails from their new menu Yakamoze . I always love to visit Babasheesh for the cocktails and the grilled meat is always cooked to perfection, I love the chicken shish , chicken shish wrap and halloumi and falafel wrap. I have visited a few times and always found the staff friendly and their service to be of a high standard. I will definitely be back soon . Thanks for being so welcoming Babasheesh .

Order from the restaurant via uber eats. My husband tracked the ordered so therefore we knew when the driver would turn up. The delivery driver arrived outside and shortly after the status on the delivery changed to delivered and the car pulled away leaving our in the middle of the road (after reviewing the Cctv it showed the driver getting the order out of the back seat where it dropped nto the road, he then left in a rush - then several cars drove over it). We had sat our kids down to eat their dinner so they were very upset. We called Babasheesh who asked us to send the photos to a mobile number provided to us. See attached picture. Babasheesh response was that we should dispute the issue with uber, however I feel that in this situation they could have dealt with this in a very different way. When you work in partnership with company I do feel everyone should be held accountable. Instead of asking us to dispute the situation, why could they not have done the same. Had it been my company I would have delivered a replacement and asked uber to compensate. Definately never attending here or ordering from them if this is the service you get.

Very beautifully decorated restaurant. The gentleman serving my party of 8 was lovely but the time it took to prepare the food was much longer than expected. Unfortunately a lot of things on the menu were unavailable that some of my group had planned to order. I felt we were ridiculously overcharged for the portion sizes. I got the Grilled Salmon with salad and chips for £22+. My salad was a tomato quarter and a tip of a grilled pepper and I could count my chips I wish I had taken pictures but after anticipating the food to come out, I was hungry and was not inspired to get the camera out This is not to take away from the flavours - especially the baba ghanoush

I came here at the end of last year and it was absolutely awful and the manager at the time was so rude and was too busy flirting with drunk women to serve out drinks which we waited over 45 min for- I vowed never to come back. On a spur meet up I got told we were going in here and I feared the worst but it seems like there has been a whole shake up of staff and my experience today was amazing. Attentitive staff especially shout out to Sanjana who was very polite and informative when asking questions about dishes. Food was absolutely out of this world, all cooked to perfection and good sizes too. I d like me you have been put off in the past due to the awful service from previous manager and waiters then give it another chance as I will be back again.

This has been open a while now so gave it a go.. very expensive for what u get £25 for a mixed shish, lamb was Luke warm too. Server had been robotically scripted trained . Said be over in two mins for drinks I be back in 5 mins for food . No checks on us throughout, sat finished a while only 3 tables in restaurant at 7.15 on a Thurs.. cleared plates back 5 mins for desserts we didnt stay as not an enjoyable evening. They used to take tastecard and are now pulling out of that ..bad move u need the discount to get customers at those prices...

I often get food from Babaseesh for lunch or after a workout. Each time Ive gotten food, Ive never been disappointed. Not only is it just great tasting food, as a gym goer, I highly recommend it for a post workout meal. You feel great afterwards!

Awful food & service. As a Turkish Cypriote the food was not up to standard and makes a mockery of Turkish cuisine. The waitress couldnt even pronounce the names of the dishes on the menu without asking ME for help, what a joke. No authentic at all.

The service was poor:- 1. They forgot to make the meals that had been ordered; 2. The food they did remember to make came out late; and 3. Not once was my table asked if the food was ok or if we wanted more drinks. The atmosphere was not good, as another table had the same difficulty we did and eventually had to walk out. The staff took lack of accountability for their actions.

We were asked to pay a deposit for a table of 15 on bank holiday Monday @ 5pm this was to ensure enough staff were on the rota to cover the booking as normally they don t get busy until 7pm. After 10 mins of being seating we were asked for our drinks order . This unfortunately was also the last time in the 2 hours in the restaurant we were asked if we wanted drinks the wait between the disappointing starters and mains coming out was about an hour the kids were starving, the adults were frustrated, ALL other tables in the restaurant were complaining about service and speed - the atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable . Sides ordered for our table and one of the mains for our party never arrived. Food was below average, not an apology in sight, just excuses - a horrible experience.

Happened upon this place when staying at the Travelodge. Excellent food and service. I would recommend!

This is not a Turkish restaurant at all and they have not one Turkish member of staff and it is really obvious when you see the food, the staff do not even know what things are made of or called, a customer asked what Bulgur is and the manager replied that it is coucous, the restaurant has no Turkish flavours at all. Also the waiter bringing knives and forks to put in front of a 3 year old and a two year old is never a good idea. Not worth the money at all, if you are looking for a Turkish restaurant I suggest you give this one a wide birth. Oh and if anyone is doubting my judgement, I am actually Turkish myself. They offered me discount on the next bill but I would not even eat for free if offered, I think it s offensive to actually call this a Turkish restaurant.

The price point for the food portion is high. Taste wise, the food is just okay. We have been to several Turkish restaurants, and I wouldnt rate this as high on my list. The customer service was okay. Please consider including complimentary bread like other Turkish restaurants, rather than it being paid for. Parking: Free parking for the first 90 minutes

We had the sharing platter, and the chicken shish was very nice, the lamb shish was flavoursome but a bit tough and the doner meat was terrible - tough, gristly and with a funky smell. Starters were okay if unspectacular, hummus and calamari being the best of a mediocre bunch. Service was a mix of ridiculously over enthusiastic when at the table, and suddenly blind and deaf when standing at the bar talking to their mates. Which there was plenty of time to do as the restaurant was disappointingly empty, a maximum of five tables during a fine Saturday lunchtime - although perhaps this is unsurprising given the price of the meal, which wouldn t have been out of place in central London.

I will never eat here again, no quality, no respect!!

The stars are for the service. Ordered a mixed platter for £51 for two people. The portion size was very small. Calamari starter was hard and rubbery. The meat was very chewy. The rice an bulgar was bland and tasteless. I wouldn t eat here again if you paid me. If you fancy a bite, go to mezze in Rochester or Taze in Chatham. Cheaper prices for bette food in bugger portions. Also £4.50 for a glass of apple juice is insane. If you are going to charge these prices, the food quality needs to match it. Very disappointed. No small cutlery for children either.

I am never never going to this place again!! We tried to get a table at this restaurant and we were told they were fully booked for 9 people despite there being only 5 ppl in the entire restaurant.. the shameless waitress that told us this had taken a decision that we could not eat there after taking a look at my 2 year. We walked away..I then called the restaurant 10 mins after and requested to book a table for 9 with 2, toddlers and the gentleman that picked up the phone immediately said wed be able to come sit right away.. so I am calling out this lady as either being prejudice about my kid or just didnt like the look of us.. We hold most of our family dinners here and I will never visit this place again

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF GOOGLE WOULD LET ME I am not a person that randomly leaves negative reviews, I genuinely believe that you can be unlucky and get an off day so after previously visited Babasheesh in Chatham and not having a particular good visit, I decided to give it another chance WORST decision EVER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY Our table was booked for 7.30 and we arrived on time and we were very surprised at how few diners there were We were seated at our table and left for half an hour before being approached by a server as we had been left we knew what dishes we wanted as well as what drinks so it was all ordered together We waited another 15 minutes for our drinks The starters arrived one of the dishes was nothing like described deep fried halloumi with salad, they bought deep fried halloumi in a pile of olives, not great as the person whos starter it was didnt eat olives. We put the olives onto another plate problem solved Then the server bought over a vegetable and a lamb moussaka, I said we didn t order vegetable only lamb along with kleftiko and a kebab The kleftico was bought to the table and the server said I m the bearer of bad news don t shoot the messenger, the chef has messed up he has lots of kebabs being cooked he ll do yours as soon as he can ! But no apology I can bring you some bread to eat . I also pointed out I had ordered broccoli as a side but had not received it Our dinners were going cold so our friend said start yours I ll catch up We ordered some more drinks 30 minutes later no drinks and no kebab or broccoli The lamb kleftiko was like a dogs bone very little meat and I can t explain how bad the moussaka was it was tasteless and in a watery sauce not a bit like moussaka Like I said the restaurant was not busy, the person behind the bar was just standing there I called the server over and he said Oh yeah your drinks . Still no apology We said cancel the drinks and the other dinner A young girl was sent over and gave us a half hearted sorry We will NEVER EVER go back Shocking from start to finish Rude staff, rubbish service, disgusting food. I can see why it was so empty shame as it s in a lovely location. Hopefully they will close down soon and a decent restaurant will take over

Went here for my 30th birthday meal with my partner and was quite disappointed... the server knew it was my birthday and didnt make anything special at all... no cake no song nothing at all ... he also told us that the bulgar could be swapped for chips with our platter but came back 10 mins later saying we have to pay extra it cant be swapped and already been cooked.... he also didnt ask what size wine for my partner so assumed it was a large and told us he made the assumption after its been poured so thats it... the food was lovely cant complain about that but the service was awful and I would never ever recommend anybody come here for their birthday because you are not made to feel special at all

Visited mid week. Very quiet yet the staff were not attentive at all. Manager at front of restaurant on his mobile pretty much the whole time we were there (approx. 2.5hrs). The waiting staff hardly spoke. We ordered drinks and main meal. Once we finished they took our glasses and plates and didnt even ask if we wanted more drinks or the desert menu! We sat there for almost 45 minutes before asking the waiter for our bill. Again he didnt speak to us but had the cheek to add 12% service charge to our bill which we refused to pay. Will never go back! Absolutely awful Dietary restrictions: Im gluten free - coeliac. Very limited options

I waited 10 minutes for the waiter, there were only 2 tables in the room, never more

food was amazing the way the lamb chops are cooked to perfection, jans team is amazing everyone you talk to have a smile and very helpful. There is free parking at also if you have parked underneath you get 4 hours free when you dine in amazing date night spot with amazing drinks. Parking: Free parking when you dine in

Myself & partner visited today. Food was nice (above average) however inside was incredibly cold, its far too loud of an atmosphere and the service was not there - literally non-existent - it seemed that staff were only interested in the big tables. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for our table to be cleared and be asked for desserts we gave up and proceeded to go up to the bar and pay our bill and leave and sought desserts elsewhere, they also stated they cleared our service charge - service charge?! We wont be returning and wouldnt recommend going here unless your a big party.

My parents (who are in their 60s) did not even get as far as being seated at a table before they were insulted and intimidated by the person that I assume was the manager on duty this evening. My parents asked if they could have the table over there in response to which the staff member went right up to my dads face in an aggressive manner and said Oh so you dont want to eat here. Appalled by the unexplained and unjustified confrontation, my parents questioned why he had said that, to which he replied You can go somewhere else. My parents felt they had no option but to leave the restaurant after such disgusting treatment which left them feeling very embarrassed. My dad returned to the restaurant a few moments later to make a formal complaint about the service, and the staff member refused to give his name or speak to him. This standard of service is beyond abysmal. I cannot believe that I now have to worry about my parents going for a meal out in case they are confronted and insulted.

Came in for a couple drinks with my partner, was served by sahib the waiter. He was a star at serving and nice to see a familiar face. The manager on duty unsure of his name served our drinks was lovely and a professional gentleman.

Excellent food but we were asked to move tables after our desserts as the table had another booking coming in - hadnt been advised of this upon booking. The restaurant was half empty! We would have stayed longer but felt a bit disjointed after this. Staff were attentive but one waiter was rushing about so much he knocked a drink flying - this was replaced - but less speed more haste!

Recommended. Good food, polite attentive staff and nice surroundings- somewhat different from how it was when I worked in this exact location in the late 70 s! Dietary restrictions: I ve a problem with onion which was acknowledged.

Lots of delicious food. Cocktails are amazing. Dancing and music needs to be more upbeat. But Sahib is an outstanding waiter and made our Christmas night special!

Came here for the 1st time today and OMG pleasantly greeted and served by sahib and had the most amazing cocktails made by the lovely Shania the food was absolutely amazing melt in the mouth lamb and the sea bass was full of flavour wont be long till we are back again
