Chilled Cork in Chatham

No complaints, everything was good.

The Chilled Cork catered our wedding September 28th, about 40 minutes outside of Chatham. The food was outstanding and the service was seamless. Brittany, the events and catering manager, took such good care of our wedding from start to finish. Communication with her was so easy. Brittany was thorough and very well organized - as was our invoice and events plan. Any time I needed information, it was basically all in the documents she had provided us. We received compliments all night at the wedding and even after, about how good the food was. The hors doeuvres (guests were loving the ahi tuna spoons) and donut holes were also delicious. Thank you so much Brittany for making our day that much better! N+N

Dry chicken. Overcooked shrimp. Had to send my first dish back of the Texas brisquit because it was overcooked and dry also the shrimp in second dish, the mushroom Rossi , smelt fishy and stringy(overcooked)

We went for the Thursday night Date Night special. The food was excellent. I had the roast beef dinner and my spouse had the smoked mozzarella ravioli. The promo is a great value with appetizer and dessert included. As always the service here was great!

The food is usually pretty good here. I always have the sense that theyre a little bit understaffed. Every time I go here, I wait a really long time for my drink, then a really long time for my order. The servers are really nice.

Came here for Sunday brunch and tried their Canadian Egg Benedict with French Toast ~ Hands down one of the best French toast Ive ever had. Will definitely come back and order that again if I visit Chatham.

The food was meh for 2 people. We paid $126 and thats with tip. Wont be back.

The only downside to this restaurant is that in the winter, the big beautiful windows make it a little chilly in there. If youre constantly cold like me, take a sweater and itll be perfect.

Everything was next level out of this world delicious they had a wedding shower going on in the other room which are waitress was also handling and I have to say she handled it like a champ at no point did we feel ignored or dismissed the food was out of this world we will definitely be back I cant wait to try the dinner menu

I ordered a starter and a pasta meal. Just my order alone was 45 bucks. When the meal arrived all I got was 9 pieces of ravioli (2 of them were empty) laid out under some bacon bits and tomatoes. My first thought was they ran out of big dishes so my meal would arrive in installments. Not the case. A can of Chef Boyardee at $1.45 would of been a more filling dinner.

17 December 2022, we hosted a family get-together at the Chilled Cork - half of us were lodging at Retrosuites. There was confusion about our reservation time when we arrived at the restaurant but staff handled it easily with some roasting of the senior staffer whod messed up. Loved where they sat us. Our waitress was quick to catch on my husband couldnt handle the heat of his sandwich and kindly swapped it out. I found the vegetarian options a bit limited, but used an appetizer as a main and it was really good. This was my 2nd time at Chilled Cork and the 2nd time I was happy with the experience. A great food spot attached to an amazing hotel. We will be back.

Had a reservation for 7:30. Was seated promptly by the not so friendly greeter. Then sat at table for 30 minutes with no service before leaving to go elsewhere. Used to be a great restaurant, but service has become terrible

We went to the chilled Cork today for Mothers Day. What a disappointment. I have never in my life such terrible food, no flavor and cold, in my life. It was just sooooooooo bad. We will never go back. Not to mention for 3 people our bill was $175.00!!!!!

Nice atmosphere, fantastic service, but food hella mid. Our server went above and beyond to ensure everyone had what they needed and was incredibly friendly. She was very patient and helpful with a food mix-up that was our own fault and brought out extra toppings. Brisket was dry, chewy, and flavourless. No seasoning or rub. Looked like slices of cafeteria roast beef. Nachos were overcooked and under-topped (only some cheese, lots of tomato, and some green onion. Added chicken for $6, but it was nice chicken). Mushrooms were not well cooked. Alfredo and chicken were borderline bland. The steaks were okay, some were a bit dry. For the price point of well over $330 for 8 dinners, we did expect better meals.

The place was great. Parking was not great but ok. The service was fantastic. But the food was nothing special and very expensive. For the price, we expected much better. None of our 4 different meals were notable. Three were borderline bad. Considering that people go out to eat mostly for the food, we cannot recommend the Chilled Cork to anyone.

All the food choices would have been delicious, but I finally had to settle on 1! Mykonos did not disappoint. Our server was delightful and present when we needed her, great atmosphere, clean restaurant and bathrooms! I will be coming back. Parking: If it was busy, Im not sure where I would have parked.

Yay! Noticed the new menu has lots of vegan options so we had dinner at the Chilled Cork last night. The new vegan items were delicious: my husband had vegan tacos and the delicious tomato soup and I had this weeks poke bowl. Both supremely yummy! Thanks for giving such care and attention to these great new menu items. Well be back! Dietary restrictions: Lots of yummy options for vegan diners.

Beautiful atmosphere Vegan Taco bowel, customized as needed was delicious! The taco meat is made with walnuts and not that processed tofu. Service very friendly. Keep up the work it is one of the best places I have been in this area. Vegetarian options: Yes ! Ask what ingredients are in the food before selecting a meal. Awareness is better health.

This review has no reflection on our server Penny as she was dealt a bad hand working here tonight. We pre-booked a 50th anniversary dinner celebration for my in laws for seating for 14. The restaurant called to confirm our reservations earlier in the day. The meal took 1 hr 45 minutes to come out. The food was awful. The roast beef special was tough, the salmon was dry as cardboard and you could pick it all up on one piece with your fork and it didn t break/flake apart. The rib eye was slight thicker than lunch meat. If the restaurant couldn t handle this size of party and only have two cooks on duty, they should either decline the reservation or have a limited set menu to order from. There should not be other tables of 4-8 people seated after us eating their desserts before we even got our food. I m sorry but I can t give a good review to what used to be a good restaurant. If you can t hire staff then you need to think about how you are paying staff to attract more employees and/or limit your seating. You have to have some sort of standard of service and tonight was way below expectations. I expected this type of restaurant to serve something better than your usual chain restaurants.

Great breakfast. Stunning Patio that doesnt make it feel like youre on the road beside car traffic even though you are. Im unsure as to why they didnt use the back somehow, given the vast space. One can only assume its because the building has been transformed into an art museum and gallery depicting several trends across many decades of this millennium. Highly recommend. Youll keep coming back for more in this ever-changing historical landmark.

I visited Chilled Cork in 2019 and again in August 2023 and had an amazing experience both times! I ordered the vegan tacos and I was amazed on how delicious they were. I was worried about the tofu since it can be hit or miss, however it was perfect in the tacos! Our server was very kind and double checked my meal for allergies. I definitely recommend Chilled Cork! Dietary restrictions: Accommodative to egg and nut allergies.

I had a buffalo chicken burger that was absolutely incredible. Im not much of a one to go for chicken, so I dont know why I did in this instance, but I am so glad I did as I absolutely enjoyed my meal. And the sweet potato fries were perfection. The space has a very interesting design though somewhat distracting due to the film posters, I found myself locking eyes with Steve McQueen more often than my dinner companions. Quick service and very friendly professional staff. Cant miss here.

Terrible service despite having reservations we waited 20 minutes for a table. We were jammed into a small booth and could hardly get between the table and the seats to the table. The table top was extremely high and uncomfortable. Atmosphere is disappointing, it looked like a cheap burger joint! The waitress was slow, unfriendly, cold and ineffective! The drinks we ordered, never arrived, the food was cold! We sent it back to be reheated and we were charged for the drinks, despite the fact that we didn t get them. I would not recommend any of the dishes if they were as good as what we had we won t go back there! I had the waitress remove the charge for the drinks, and even that took about 15 minutes. I couldn t wait to get out of the place!!!! I had high hopes for the Chilled Cork that were never realized. The room is small, tables jamed closely together, it was too noisy and needless to say I was not impressed and will never return! If you are a discerning diner, I would suggest that you go to Churrascarra Restaurant and steakhouse on Grand Avenue (opposite the Tim Hortons) for fine dining or Casa Bella on Riverview. Parking: Parked in front of the building!

Had a very good sit in lunch. All 5 of us were very satisfied with our meals and the waitress was awesome and prompt. Our group was so enthralled in conversation I forgot to take pictures. I had the Prime Rib on a bun with gravy and a side of hand cut fries. Delicious. Enjoyed the Kent IPA. The atmosphere was charming and service attentive. We walked into the lobby and loved the connection with Kent County. Definitely will return and highly recommend

This was our go to restaurant for a few years then we found it was changing .Had a few so so meals so started going elsewhere.Tried again Nov 8 .Did takeout for seniors birthday.When we opened our food one meal was missing,Had to drive back to get it then almost left with wrong order(they gave us wrong one) When we did get to eat it was very disappointing .

I have celiac disease and have to be gluten free. Had the avocado toast with poached eggs and salad. Delicious and no side affects. They had GF toast. Didnt ask about GF toaster so assuming all good since no reactions. Great place. Highly recommended

Bartender was amazing but Server was inexperienced, didn t know how to make a shooter, once the bartender left. Was brought straight maple rum. Children running around all over the place, guests from the hotel seemingly using the restaurant as the lobby. Lots of potential but really bad execution.

First time here, was Valentine s Day. Great over all experience. Service was pleasant. Upbeat Atmosphere with hip music. So much to look at while you sat and waited in comfortable seats. The love potion martini was delicious! The food all around was impeccable! Quality was great! Portions were plentiful. This was an epic night out. I strongly suggest coming here in the summer for their patio. I ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Always a good breakfast at a fair price! Went here for dinner and although food is good I did not find the portion was that great. I had a ravioli and it tasted amazing but there could have been more, especially for the price. Either way it was and is still a great quality meal and restaurant, So stop in!

This was my first visit to the Chilled Cork. One of the best experiences I have had in a very time. The staff was excellent, friendly, warm. They made you feel like family. The good was fantastic. Every dish was A+. Wish I was living closer. A wonderful experience. Definitely 10 stars.

Dine in lunch was a spectacular experience in this retro designed cafe. We love the eggs benny and creme brule french toast. Huge portion sizes and very affordable dining. Amazing atmosphere, food and service.

Today my husband and I stopped here for lunch as we were visiting Chatham for the very first time. I ordered a Cesar salad and specifically stated no bacon, we received a well plated small dish of Cesar salad. Looks lovely, however I told waitress I asked for no bacon. Few minutes later an older angry lady came by with a dish of tossed salad. My husband stated the first one was well plated and looked gourmet, but this time looked like what I would receive from supermarket shelf. I decided to ignore and just eat, but soon realized they simply gave me back the same lettuce by trying to scrape bacon bits off. They were bits of bacon still in salad. A salad for that price, can sure be remade. Would not recommend, price does not match quality of food and service.

Great place for a glass of wine, price is right and bartender/waiter is kind and friendly, great choices for slushy type drinks, foos is really good ,fish friday fish was delicious and good price, patio is super cozy and welcoming and comfy, waitress was friendly, funny, and kind!! The Chilled Cork has solid classic pub food options with some excellent pop up kitchen options that take the menu to the next level. Had the Big Kahuna Burger (pop up special) and the teriyaki patty with the potato bun were incredibly delicious. Good service and reasonable selection of local draft.

The menu has so much fresh and local influence. The quality and care is very evident in every plate. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable to boot. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nostalgic with a clean modern aesthetic. Its definitely worth a visit!

Ive gone here both for lunch/brunch as well as dinner. Both meals were very well done, their burgers are extremely delicious, as are their sweet potato fries. Their chicken burger, the few times Ive had it came out a little dry but it was otherwise also good. The decoration is nice, a mix of modern decoration (a giant fork, or row of 20 lightbulbs with only 2 on) and more antique decoration like WW2 era movie posters and advertisements. The staff were all very good, very attentive and helpful. My only real complaint is every time Ive been there the music was very loud, it made it difficult to hold a conversation. Going outside wouldnt help any due to the business of William Street with passing pickup trucks motorcycles and other vehicles.

My first time there. The restaurant has hard surfaces everywhere so its pretty noisy, but it looks like a burger joint so I guess thats to be expected. I ordered the pasta and since they offered a bunch of sides, I ordered the fried chicken to go with it. Our meals arrived in good time but I didnt get my chicken which I realized as I watched the waitress walk away and figured it would be along on when she returned. She did not return until I was just about finished my meal......unlike MOST restaurants where the waiter/waitress checks after about five minutes to make sure everything is tasting ok...not so at this place. A cursory apology and it was taken off the bill. The pasta tasted fine but it was a very small portion and would have been a full meal with the chicken. My guess is they short the plate if you order a side but as mine never came I paid too much for a kids meal in my opinion. Wont go back.

It was an excellent experience. The service was great and offered great advice and the service was rather fast however the food was absolutely amazing. For an appetizer we had the spinach dip with pita pieces and they were so fresh and so wonderfully tasty. I had the prime rib and it was so soft and wonderful to have on the fork. It tasted absolutely amazing of everybody and cooked to perfection. I added mushrooms and onions and it was a delight. Probably one of the best meals that Ive had in Chatham ever. Also as a drink the option I chose was bartender choice. And I couldnt have picked a better drink because I have no clue what it was but it was sweet but yet a wonderful taste. It didnt ruin my meal it complemented it wonderfully. Absolutely fine dining at its absolutely fine dining best.

Zero stars is more like it. Made reservations for 8 people a week before going. I asked specifically for a quieter place as we were friends wanting to chat and catch up. I was told that we would be in a quieter spot in the other room. We were there on time and waited 15 minutes past reservation time for our table. They were then going to put in the main room and I reminded what was told to me when I called to make the reservation. We got to our table and had our dinner. We still had drinks and just finishing up dinner when, one hr and 20 min after being seated, we were told there are people waiting for the table. Time to go. First time I have ever been asked to leave, before we were completely done, for someone else even though our table wasnt ready when we got there. Small portions and way overpriced. Will never return or recommend. Update: reached out immediately after restaurants initial response and received no response.

On Saturday afternoon, September 25th my husband and I and my parents had attended a wedding in Chatham and decided to go for lunch after the church. We are not from Chatham and chose the Chilled Cork based on reviews and the menu. The food was delicious but our waitress was very, very unfriendly!! Working in the service industry myself I was surprised that someone who seemed so unhappy in her job chose to do that for a living. We tried to joke with her, or even have a conversation with her and she was stoned face and took no interest AT ALL! When we would say something to her and expect to get a comment or even and acknowledgement that we said something we got nothing! I noticed she was walking with a bit of a limp...maybe she was having a bad day. Whatever her reason, she had a terrible persona. We felt like we were more of an inconvenience than anything. There was a young gentleman waiter working and he was very friendly btw...next time we are in Chatham we will bring our business elsewhere. Good food...TERRIBLE WAITRESS!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would ! First time there and WORST experience of my life and on my birthday to kick! My fiancee ordered takeout for us and we didnt get what we ordered by any means! I dont even think they knew about our order cause when we got there to pick it up she asked the name we told her and she acted like she was looking it up but I believe no one entered it in. She asked what we ordered I said the mclovin burger the ravioli and the soup I didnt go into detail because I thought I was confirming it. The lady didnt even ask me what kind. We received mushroom soup and mushroom ravioli the burger and fries. I ordered the tomato soup and the mozza ravioli. I was unimpressed. Will not be going back ever.

One of the best places to eat in Chatham, not a lot of options in town but still. I will be back. The food was good and everything looked to be made inhouse not reheated cardboard from a box like most places. Staff was good and took great care of us. We did have to sit in the lobby because all the seating inside was full but they have a couple nice tables out there. Patio is nice as well.
