Excellent food , great service, lovely atmosphere

Service is beyond poor. Staff rude. Understaffed. Food quite mediocre for a wagamamas. This is our third visit to this branch beyond pathetic every time

Service was terrible waiting for my food for ages and then they bought it to the wrong table and after people touching it tried bringing it over to me didn t even get offered a discount or anything compensation for the inconvenience

I visited the restaurant today to have a quick lunch, food and drink were served very quickly and everything was delicious! Their vegan range is fantastic. Service was brilliant too, thanks to one of the staff members whom wished me happy birthday and offered an on the house dessert. That was very kind and unexpected, thank you.

I mean wow. I took my date there which only strengthened our relationship. The food was immaculate, quick service and the waitress nafisa was outstanding. She created such a lovely ambiance that added to my top tier Wagamama experience. I m counting down the days until I go back and I hope the amazing Nafisa will serve me again!

Took my family here the other day and we had such a great time. Food was served quickly and the staff was just amazing. Nafisa served us and was extremely helpful and lovely to talk to - excited to come again.

Using this to write a glowing review for the manager Aidan. After a Deliveroo order was cancelled Deliveroo side, with no apology and explanation after almost 2 hours of waiting on a Friday night. The restaurant stepped up and Aidan, got this order sent out to us. It was over £50 worth of food and had he not, being so late our Friday night celebratory treat would have been ruined. He was understanding on the phone, professional, understood and did ever thing he could. A real asset to your company when dealing with Deliveroo and other online platforms that hide behind the phone in foreign call centres and offer meaningless apologys and a refund in 10 days. He spoke to them and they was as rude to him as us as we was all on the phone at the same time. But this isnt about them, its about Aidan and what he did. Genuinely thank you Aidan, and real star!

Tasty food , lovely attentive and friendly staff . My only criticism would be that while the food is served hot it goes cold quickly as the plates aren t warmed.

Absolutely love that you ve opened up a store at the dockside! Closer to home and means I can take my grandparents out for dinner more! Staff were so helpful and a beautiful, clean restaurant! We visited this branch of Wagamamas. All I can say is my son and I have been really sick. Our Pork Belly ramen and chicken Ramen arrived 40 mins after my partners firecracker chicken. Mine was STONE COLD with semi hard noodles. I informed one of the staff who agreed and took it back. I checked my son s ramen and it was hot so I let him eat his. Mine came back hot but not piping hot but I was too hungry to make an issue. Last night my son complained about stomach cramps later that night and today he can t stop burping. The burps are unholy and smell like the chicken from last night but with an off eggy smell. It s SO SO BAD! I m just waiting for the diarrhoea quite a worry really. Poor lad. My cramps started this morning and not surprised I have diarrhoea. We love Wagamama but afraid that we will not visit another branch anytime soon and certainly not this one in Chatham. Never ever again!

appalling service

Service was too slow. Manager asked us to scan a coupon that needed our information and we did it but she gave half the information which was misleading. I would appreciate if managers guide their customers well and we don t feel cheated.

Theres a number of factors I wont recommend the Chatham Maritime dockside restaurant. They are as follows: 1. Team attentiveness - the restaurant was empty and yet my family and I stood there for quite sometime before we got welcomed. 2. Cleanliness - the tables had piles of dirty plates after the customers have left 30 mins ago. 3. Speed of service - the service was a joke. Bare in mind, the restaurant was empty yet we had to call to ask for our table number so we can order food. The table number didnt work and every time I looked and waved at waiter/waitress, I was ignored. This was by far the worst experience Ive ever experienced in wagamama. Ive been to the Bluewater and Maidstone one and the service there is spectacular. Unfortunately I cannot give one good review on the experience we had in the Chatham dockside restaurant. Its absolutely ridiculous and heartbreaking at the same time.

Delicious food, great staff and ambiemce.

Working away & eating alone isnt always fun so I like going to any Wagamamas as they always has a nice atmosphere where I feel comfortable. Megan served me & was fabulous, right level of personable humour & chat which added nicely to my usual delicious go to Pad Thai! Thank you!

Ordered the beef brisket hot pot and was lovely. This was our first time at wagamma and will definitely go back. Adan and Nataiya where great hosts.

The worst Wagamama food Ive ever had. Was excited to try the new store but our mains were stone cold even though it wasnt busy. The waitress was pleasant and didnt argue so must be a common occurance. Such a shame.

Arrive to have lunch at 11 (opening time). Not allowed in due to some refurb that occurred the night before apparently. That s fine, but they don t bother to put a sign on the door, instead people walking in and getting turned away. Very poor!

Having eaten ramen in Peterborough, Canterbury, bluewater and now chatham I have to say chatham really needs to pull its socks up. The staff were pleasant but unfortunately Ill prepared for my reactions to my visit. It was terrible. A party of 4 ordering food, three of the party get food and twenty minutes later Im still waiting for my ramen, which came with half of the Ingredients missing, bland soup, chicken that tasted like barbecue sauce, and was the worst ramen I have ever had the misfortune to eat. The best part of the meal was the coke I ordered. After complaining and asking for my meal to be comped the manager advised me that food may come out at different times due to it being fresh it did not taste fresh, it tasted like dirty dish water, after dissecting the meal and explaining the facts of life, yes, it was Comped but I was made to feel grateful that this had been done. Wagamama needs to send someone from head office into the kitchens and teach them the basics of how to cook... Raman is one of the easiest dishes to prep... Almost a staple. Add endum... It is now 0145 in the morning and I shall be telephoning to ask why I am still sitting on the toilet evacuating my bowels through the eye of a needle with cramps that I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy....I shall not return to this so called restaurant and i would advise others of this-avoid unless you are constipated and nothing else is easing it. A trip to wagama dockside Chatham will soon sort that one out. Its now 0630hrs and just discovered partner was ill overnight and I still have a gurgling washing machine stomach and cramps... What the hell wagamama

Lovely staff, delicious food and drinks! They accidentally made a dish with meat in it for me but corrected it instantly and went to check once again that it was all OK. Fast service and very friendly and smiling waiters. Clean and tidy too.

Eaten here once and also had 2 take aways . My experience inside the restaurant was pleasant however very expensive for the small dishes we had shared. I ended up going home to raid the cupboards for more food . I then tried two take aways on different occasions and found the dishes lacking in meat and flavour. A small take away bag half full cost a whopping £45 !!

Been in twice and both times we were greeted by lovely warm welcoming people that took great care with us and made each visit immediately start with us being at ease and smiling. I am a wheelchair user and it s not a problem at all, they just move a seat and I wheel in. Disabled toilets is not an afterthought, it s perfectly functional and spotlessly clean, as is the whole restaurant The food is fresh and delicious as you expect from Wagamama I should have left this review sooner but both times I have left the restaurant I have been in such a good mood and chatting with my friend that I forgot Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent accessibility for me in my manual wheelchair, and staff always offer me help too

Well we were lucky to get a seat outside considering the weather was so nice so thought great going to have a lovely meal. Server took our order and we didnt wait long for our food to arrive. Unfortunately had no cutlery to eat it with not even any chopsticks. Asked a waitress who came with my husbands meal for some cutlery but she never returned. Went inside to ask and saw her wandering around. Thankfully asked someone else and they brought us cutlery straight away. Then to try the food, I ordered Chicken pad thai, unfortunately it was very bland and tasteless, very disappointing. My husband enjoyed his chicken katsu curry but said he has had better elsewhere. Table next to us didnt even receive one of their main meals and ended up cancelling it. Definitely need some improvements to live up to the vibe you get from the London wagamamas.

Great food as always , first time weve tried Chatham ,was a little empty and the air con was on arctic so food got cold quick . Would probably have been fine when full . Bare this in mind and adjust please,

Disappointed with the food. My partner got his before I got mine. My food sat at the counter for 7 minutes before some decided to bring to me. Like warm a d tasteless. Salad out off a bag.

Went into have a late lunch, not too busy, got seated quickly. Restaurant is new clean and pleasant enough to sit in. Mains seem to be generally priced around £14-£16 some priced higher. The food looks better than it tastes, colourful but bland, not much flavour apart from salt & chilli oil. Salad appears straight out of a bag? The staff are numerous, polite & friendly but not very organised. My wifes food sat on hot plate for at least 7 minutes after mine had been served. Eventually random staff noticed while passing hotplate & served, this seemed to be more a case of luck than good service? Not impressed enough to go back anytime soon.

Bao buns went to the wrong table. Tried to talk to the staff about the free main on the wagamama website and was very unhelpful and manager didnt even know even though on their website. No lemonade either and disappointing all round. Maidstone branch was much better when I went their.

Yesterday was my first time trying Wagamama, the food was very nice, flavourful, fresh and the interior was pretty cool. but what stuck with me was the young lady who served me her name was Izzy. Her customer service was exceptional, it was rather busy but she went out of her way throughout the whole service. She was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. I felt this was important to praise as I travel around the world and this is one of the best experiences of customer service I have had. I hope she is credited for what she does, if you re served by izzy you re in for a treat. - Mohammed Adam & family

Our server ashleigh was lovely and very helpful. Thank you ashleigh for a lovely experience. On another note.... Food was so close to being 5 stars and the reason its not quite making 5 stars is 3 things we tried to order throughout our experience were out of stock (it happens; but on a Tuesday?) The squid was some of the best squid Ive ever tasted and other compliments from my party said the chicken was so succulent, the salmon perfectly cooked and tasty and beef so tender. Only down side the teriyaki noodles had hardly any taste that we requested extra teriyaki which was no bid deal from the staff so thank you, I had the pad Thai with chicken and prawns; again lacking in flavour, was fresh and citrusy but no where near enough creamy pad Thai expectation but overall enjoyable and the firecracker werent cracker enough but overall food was lovely just lacking in flavours and didnt quite have that wow factor. The atmosphere, not really any atmosphere, I couldnt here any background music, and kids riding around on scooters ruined that experience. The gentleman host just needs a friendly reminder to wear plenty of deodorant! Again me and most of my party love a wagamamas and will be back in the near future, no issues and still left happy and with full tummies. Thank you

Wagamama has been a culinary sensation in recent years, occupying a gap in the market for quick and healthy food. Basically making fast food healthy and guilt free (calories are also displayed by each meal). My main issue is the portions seem to be shrinking and the prices are quite high for what takes them a few minutes to throw together. Yes its tasty, yes its healthy, yes its convenient, but value for money? Probably not so much. If you look at the calories, many menu item mains hover around 500 kcal, thats hardly a meal. This new branch of waggas is quite cramped. The floorspace is really limited and people are packed in on long tables rubbing shoulders. Your food arrives whenever which can be frustrating if one member of your party is left waiting after everyone else has their food. This is something to expect at waggas though.

The squid was freezing and clearly not cooked and was hard in the middle !! The ramen tasted really dull and watery not seasoned well at all and I get both of these every time I go to the Bluewater one. Won t be going back again to Chatham was so busy everything was rushed

The location is great. The food was sub par. I ordered pad Thai and it didnt have any noodles in it. First time in waganama and I am more that disappointed. Wont be coming back.

First time visiting the recently opened restaurant last night. It was ok. It was so so noisy, what with everyone talking the acoustics in the restaurant made it all sound twice as loud and you could hardly hear each other talk, so not great if you are wanting a sociable meeting with your friends and family. One other thing I didn t like, there were a couple of chefs cooking who had beards, surely their beards should have been covered up with hair nets. None of them were. Not very hygienic in my opinion.

We were greeted by a lovely lady, I think she was the FOH - lovely smile! Our waitress was Megan. She was lovely as well, but unaware of some things (what she could do or couldnt do) Staff treated us very nicely but the food wasnt as good as I remembered - my chicken ramen noodles came uncooked the first time. The first lovely lady switched them back for me. The chilli squid was 10/10! Amazing crunch, perfect amount of heat. The gyozas left me a little bit stunned - the duck one was burned on the sides, the chicken one was alright and the pork one was unedible. But big props for the staff! This place was clean, clear of any messes and servers were all very kind and attentive! Kid-friendliness: They had highchairs - with protection in the front and even incorporated a toy there!

Took two hours to get one Katsu curry waited for 45 mins for desserts only to be told that they had run out of one dessert and turned the fryers off so other dessert delayed - come Wagamama you can do better

Im normally a big fan of wagamama but when I ordered a beef brisket ramen for takeaway it came with way less meat than in the restaurant, and didnt come with any of the normal vegetables youd get if you ordered in the restaurant. Id expect the same ingredients and quality no matter if I order it to take away or to sit down.

I recently had a disappointing experience at the Chatham Wagamama. On my first visit, before the restaurant had officially opened, I was given five vouchers for gyozas. However, I later discovered, in the tiniest print possible on the side, that these vouchers expired on the second of June. Its incredibly frustrating and feels deceptive to have such crucial information hidden in minuscule print. How is anyone supposed to notice that? Why not make the expiration date more prominent? It feels like the purpose of these vouchers was to watch people fail to redeem them on time, which is a terrible customer experience. Very bad start, Wagamama. I hope the service improves in the future and that Ill receive new vouchers that I can actually use. Sincerely disappointed.

the man who took our order was absolutely lovely! but the service was terrible. waited 10-15 mins for a coke! the catsu curry was terrible. the chicken in a chicken catsu was so dry. the chicken ramen noodles was so plain that s why i changed to a catsu. the food is really over priced. and the woman took the payment had a attitude and no patience, and then proceeded to slag my mum to one of her co workers about a question we asked her. i will not be returning. WORST restaurant ever.

Pro: beautiful interior, great location, decent service and paying via QR code a nice touch Con: had better food in other wagamamas. Ramen poorly presented, friends pad Thai came out suspiciously quickly and gave them a bad stomach the following day. Expect more from wagamamas.

We attended the soft launch today and it was absolutely incredible. Delicious food as always and the atmosphere was buzzing. The restaurant lets in lots of natural light when the sun is shining too and this adds to the vibrant mood.

Had a really lovely meal at this new Wagamama restaurant on their first day of opening. We were hosted by Issy, who very quickly worked out we had someone with a nut allergy at the table and very swiftly got her manager to take their order with no fuss. I am sure there was a lot of pressure on the staff due to it being the first day of opening and it being so busy, but Issy handled this really well. She was polite and friendly as were the rest of the staff who tended to us, and the new menu was delicious!

attended chatham maritime wagamamas for the first time on their official opening night. as expected the restaurant was completely full and be very busy and as a result service was very staggered. despite this our server hannah was absolutely brilliant. she was very quick to sort any issues we had and kept checking with us that everything was good. she honestly saved our experience and the restaurant was lucky to have her that night! food was lovely as always, will definitely be returning (so long as hannah is there).

The food was as delicious as usual, however the delivery of the food and drink was incredibly staggered, however I feel this was down to it being the opening night. Would just like to make light of the fact that the redeeming factor of the service was Hannah, she was very friendly and more than helpful. I feel as if the rest of staff would have struggled a lot more without her, very impressed.

Teething troubles, I hope. Service is chaotic, our chicken & prawn pad Thai was missing the chicken (which came later after a chat with the manager, but was bland as it hadn t been cooked in the flavours of the remainder of the dish). When we sat down, we were told Issy would be looking after us and she d give us our table number. Then Megan appeared! To be fair, Megan was great and was clearly as frustrated with the various issues going on as other diners were. She did her best to stay attentive and keep things moving. Our drinks arrived quickly (tasty cocktails), as did our mains. While my wife s was missing a key ingredient, my duck noodles were delicious. The sides came later, but not too much later. One issue was that our table number wasn t written down, so other waiting staff struggled to connect us with our food. Later, a different waitress cleared our plates and gave us dessert menus, commenting that I m not sure if she s looking after these tables or not (gesturing to another waitress) so let me know if you want anything which seemed to underline the problems with uncoordinated service in general. Still, the place has been open less than a week. I m hoping things improve and this location catches up to the well-oiled machine that is Bluewater.

Living up to the Wagamamas dream. And then some! Living on St Mary s Island, I ve been eagerly anticipating the opening of the new W for what seems like an age now. Just had my first experience there and it s beyond my wildest expectations! I ve been a Wagamama disciple for more than 20 years, and the brand just keeps getting better. World class service, the very best of Asian food and a vibrant atmosphere! The Chatham branch does not disappoint, in fact, one of my best visits to W in a long time. Special commendation to my waitron, Zoë, a credit to the shop and company, helpful, professional, hands off and super passionate! I m not sure whether it s a good thing, that I only stay 200m from the door. I have a feeling I m going to be here frighteningly often!

Had dinner at Wagamama recently and despite a few mix-ups with our order, our waitress, Jemima made the night great. The place was buzzing, and the menu had so many good options. There were a few mistakes with our dishes some took longer than others and one dish was wrong. But Jemima was awesome. She was super friendly and quickly fixed everything with a smile. When our food finally arrived, it was totally worth the wait. Everything was delicious and looked amazing. Even with the hiccups, we had a good time because our waitresses took such good care of us. Well definitely be back and hope to have her as our waitress again.

Lovely new Wagamamas. We visited during its first week of being open. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was fresh and tasty. Lots of veggie and vegan options and so clearly labelled on the menu which is a real plus! Kavina (staff) was very helpful and shared recommendations. Staff who greeted and seated us as we entered was also lovely. We will be back! A few other reviews mention staggered food arrival times which was the case when we ate too but I ve always been told this is simply the way Wagamama do their food (it is like this too at other branches) so wasn t a surprise or issue. Worth bearing in mind if you aren t aware!
