I went in to order my subway, I had a reward which was a free meal upgrade. I did approach the staff behind the till to ask them how i could order & claim my reward & they said either till or online. On the till couldn’t find the reward so placed the order online through the phone. The reward was accepted & went through, I collect my order plus the items for the meal deal. I was eating when someone approached me quite rudely & said it wasn’t a meal deal so i needed to pay for the extra items, i showed the reward that was accepted & a couple next to me said that had happened to them too. i handed the items back & advised them not put false advertising as there were lots of people there for the rewards & they were going to get caught out. People walked away ignoring me not even sorry or at least tried to show me how to order correctly with the reward.
Having a kiosk that limits you makes the point of subway and what made subway great, would rather wait longer for better service and food then deal with what I have to here
2nd in the queue and 25 min wait for a footlong i could have made my own quicker massive room for improvement here !!!
Refused to let me order at the bar because I was paying by card, insisted I use the automated system. Indecipherable ordering system made me unable to order at all. Complete failure of basic customer service - I will never come here again.
I strongly agree with the other reviews about the poor ordering experience. Part of the fun was seeing all the salads and toppings and asking for extras. By forcing customers to use the kiosk they have lost the opportunity to up sell. This Subway has a firm restriction on how much salad you can have for five pounds. This is not a corporate rule but can be set by the franchisee. I will never use this place again as my local Subway does not have the kiosks or salad restriction.
Dirty place,tables not cleaned, lady made sandwich with gloves that she did everything with..including handling till and cash! poor service.. English not her 1st language! Need some training and common sense!
New ordering system is ridiculous, can't order things how you want them, takes twice as long and you can't see your food being made. The old way was much more straightforward and quicker, change for changes sake to try and justify the huge price increases for worse quality food.
Absolutely disgusted with the service I just received. I was told that if I want to order using card payment, I could not order directly with the employee. I was basically refused service because the company have taken the card payment machine away from the employees to use. Me the customer!! likes to order my food directly with the employee!! I LIKE TO SEE MY SUB BEING MADE. The company have covered the whole glass with a big green sheet saying use the Kiosk... I don't think so!?! What happened to ordering your subway and wathing it being made and having an interaction with the employee. Tey might as well put robots behind the counter now. Bring back the old way of ordering the food, we should have a choice of what we want to do, I don't care if the company is going to save money by installing kiosks, I don't use them and never will. If I was going to order my food using a machine, I would sit at home and order on Deliveroo. I will not be forced to use these kiosk machines!! Come to this subway every month for around 2 years. Got two meals for me and my partner. The new order screens are gd but waited nearly 20 minutes for my food. To then sit down an have burnt bread, must b running out of chicken tikka as was hardly any in my footlong. Was all salad an sauce. Never coming back here after spending £19.89. Place has gone down hill majorly. All seats were taken as people getting take aways were waiting that long they sit down an people eating in then cant sit down. Tables an floor were dirty, like hadnt been cleaned that day. Go else where if u want value for yr money Parking: Some disabled bays outside, plenty of parking outside. Also have a multistorey carpark Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant has double glass doors on street level. Plenty of space inside the store for wheelchairs
Stingiest subway I ve ever been to
Toilets STILL out of order. Over a month now. Pull your finger out. Anybody tempted by the bacon cheese stack, dont bother. Very thin. Looks totally different from the advert.

We ordered Via Deliveroo, and were unable to make changes to the order on the app, a pop up said we needed to call the restaurant if we had any Allergies. I called straight away and the phone just rang, i called again and got an answer. Asking for one of the subs ordered to not contain cheese (due to allergies/intolerance) and egg. I was told i could not change the order because he had already toasted the sandwich, i asked if he would make a new one, and the phone was put down.
Absolutely shocking, no one I store and still made my so wait for 12 minutes as he was busy eager to go home and not wanting to serve the kid, had to go in and ask what the old up was,. It was then that he decided to serve the kid after nearly 20 mins waiting.

The floor could be a bit cleaner but the service is very good and the plant based steak sandwiches are good. We tried this Subway twice and both times we where served by the same person who was nice ( a south asian man ). They get bonus points for being inclusive and treated everyone equally nice and respectful, other businesses in the area don t hold the same standards.
We love Subway, our favourites are meatballs and tuna sub. Service is always good. Last visit at Chatham Dockside, the floor was not clean, litter left behind by ignorant customers unwilling to clear up after themselves. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free sub.

Always enjoy subway but on this occasion the tables were dirty with cruise on the tables it wasnt busy so they could have been cleaned.
I always find Subway good for a filling lunch with so many choices of fillings and sauces. Good options for veggies and vegans too. Meal deals are quite reasonable. Dont expect much in the way of atmosphere, it is functional and the seating is designed for short stays. I had a tex next sun on hearty Italian bread, nice and spicy and good with some crunchy salad

Slow service due to inexperienced new staff members who were passing on the workload to the senior member. Avoid if your in a hurry. Competitive pricing and good choice of fresh ingredients.

Arrived at 21:10 to have a lovely subway, 20 min before closing time. To find that the doors and locked and 2 employees cleaning up saying that they are closing early as they are understaffed.
We came for meal at 21.15 in Chatham Subway. The cleaner says that they are understaffed and they are closed. In website closing time is 22.00, in shop 21.30. Unbelievable... Open for deliveries, what a shame. We came for 2 sandwiches, which could take to make 5 min.
The guys serving there didnt know who ordered what sandwiches and it was very slow service.
I waited about 30 mins just to get cold undercooked food, only one person was serving and she took 10 mins to make 1 sandwich while the other guy cleaned and stood around when they supposed to close at 10 and this was at 8.15 and i finally left at 8.45. I wont be wasting money or time here again seeing as theres more bad reviews then good. Just avoid at all costs its a waste
The man who serves in this Subway is in need of some customer service training. Very rude! Luckily the lady there with was lovely or else I would have walked out that shop

Best Subway in the town. Staff was friendly and polite. Cleanliness was 10/10. There veggie portion was fresh which is not common in most of the places. I would Highly recommend that place.

Foot long meat feast sub.. Didnt have the right bread for it. Apparently meat feast is two slices of ham, five slices of pepperami or salami and four meat balls.. The picture has like eight. You know what Im actually going back in to demand more meatballs. It hardly filled half the bread.

Omg the hash browns!!! Yummmmmmy. Good price. Polite staff front of counter but very slow service. There seemed to be 1 member serving...she was brilliant, 1 on the phone while also service the salad and sauce.....could not remember my order. A third hanging in the doorway eating with food prep gloves on. Tasty. And no cheesy bread!!!!! Sad days! Good sandwich though.

Had a salad - very generously packed and delicious as always. Lower stars since the person who made my meal didnt have his mask on right - he didnt breathe all over my food, but still he should be wearing it properly when handling things people will consume. The lady after me did tell him off for it...

One member of staff serving who was on her phone when I first entered and then again as soon as the transaction finished. The whole place was unclean and the food didnt look fresh how it typically would. Dont fancy going to that branch again...

OMG! I can just about understand the franchisee not offering a discount for Emergency Services. But to REFUSE to serve tap water, after feeding a family in their restaurant! Shiv (name tag) appears to be a tight, mean-spirited franchisee, and I can only suggest Nandos next door.

Dirty tables poor service
The place always looks filthy and the tables are look like they could do with a good clean, not just the flash of a dirty cloth. Tables outside are always full of rubbish. Food is ok but it makes you wonder, if this is how they treat the area where the customer sees, then what is the area like where you cant see.

Popped in today, but didnt stay & order - it was filthy, none of the tables had been cleared or cleaned & the bin was overflowing. Put us off eating there.

My struggle: After a hard 56 minutes of study at university I was hungry. Driving out the gates I thought to myself, Id love a chipotle Subway. So away I drove to dockside for my dream sub. Little did I know the nightmare to come. Sorry we have no chipotle chicken, they told me to my horror. Dejected I pressed on, Ill just have a tuna sub, and make it up with some cheese & onion crisps and a pepsi. £6.80 was the total. Expensive, I thought. I turned to the crisp stand, the nightmare had only just begun. The only crisps left were some Doritos cheese & feet flavour, disgusting. I picked up a pack. To the drink machine I moved, surely some sugar will pick me up, maybe some cool pepsi. I chose to select my drink - but just like in life, any choice but disappointment was an illusion. There was no Pepsi, only Pepsi Max. I paid £6.80 for a sub I hadnt dreamt of, a bag of crisps that shouldnt exist, and a drink less sugary than my tears. But at least it didnt give me food poisoning yet.
Standard subway items available, offering an alternative to McDonalds or Burger King I guess.

Lets face it, A Subway is a Subway is a Subway, theyre all pretty much carbon copies of one another, basically you know what youre going to get. So one night my friend and I went to this particular Subway because we had a mad hankering for a veggie patty sub, its delicious, trust me. So we get in and instead of the standard Subway that you expect, it looked like an enraged rhino had gotten in and performed the entire dance routine to Michael Jacksons Thriller, it was hideous. My first thought was, maybe the 3 staff members behind the counter hadnt bothered to clean up because they were too busy staring at the salad in an attempt to figure out where in their life it all went wrong, however I later found out it was because the groups brain cell could only be controlled by one. So we go up to the counter to a lady who looked at us like we had entered wearing Nazi uniforms, who then got two lifeless subs out of a Star Warsesk contraption, chucks the patties in, skips the cheese question, and puts it in the oven. I didnt know you could burn the bread in an oven that has a pre-set time... But she found a way! So next up the salad, the salad looked as though it had been distributed with the use of an employees butt cheeks. Wanted lettuce, well you also got sweetcorn and olives thrown in free! After having another staff member collecting the money for a sandwich that had been constructed by someone with the coordination and brain power of a slug, we also got to hear what she was doing after work! What a service! But hey, at least the drinks machine wouldnt possibly let us down! Oh you better believe it! For some reason the carbonation process was skipped, so it was flat Cokes all round!! In short, do not eat here, go to another Subway if you must or you can eat fresh, with a side of disappointment.
